Ah, to have Hielo Español energy...

As a bit of context

1. Hielo Español is NOT the spanish fed. They are a media group dedicated to covering Figure Skating in spain, and have been doing so for over 10 years. They send photographers and reporters to ISU competitions, they talk on a variety of FS topics such as the lack of funding, they post every time a Spanish skater skates on an international competition, raise funding for skaters... They do a fantastic job covering a sport most spanish don’t even realize exist (I only knew FS was an olympic sport at 17, and that’s only because I was on tumblr)

2. Ander Mirambell is also a fantastic athlete and this tweet is not against him. If you read on his career, he is the trailblazer of skeleton. This are his fourth olympic games and he’s retiring after them, he deserves this. I’ve got 0 knowledge about Queralt Castellet, other that she was Spain’s flagbearer at Vancouver and a halfpipe snowboarder.

3. Figure Skating in spain gets 0 media atention and thus, zero funding. Funding problems is something that skaters have talked about before, and lack of infraestructures too. Currently, if you want to progress in FS (even just a tiny bit), you need to leave. Recently the Fed decided to make an 80.000€ inversion in a skeleton training facility (a sled pushing thing?).

Neither the federation nor the goverment are concerned about how they are killing FS. This last Grand Prix season was not aired by tdpe, and the olympics arent going to be aired on national public television (while there was a huge coverage for tokio), so even that small amount of exposure is disapearing.

4. I absolutely love them for doing this. While Mirambell deserves this, Adrian Diaz does as well. Someone also said that Figure skating is responsable for almost half of the spots at this Olympics and Ice Dance is the discipline with the bestbest results in International competitions since Javi retired (not comparing it to other sports because I have 0 understanding of them). And Adrian Diaz is part of that. What him, Javier Fernandez and Sara Hurtado have done for Figure Skating in spain is amazing, and he deserves to have at least a small moment of Olympic Glory!!!!

but yeah, hielo español are badasses for saying that AND tagging the spanish Olympic Comittee. If they want to ride on the success of fs, they need to endorse it.

Henry: The people like you. It does help that the media has been speaking high praises for Albion's Princess.

Elenor: *Laughs softly* I'm not the only Albion Princess.

Henry: Yes, but Sofia isn't the one that is currently single. The people are hoping for a Stroud and Albion match.

Elenor: What about you?

Henry: I see how it can be beneficial for Stroud.

Elenor: We can always see where things go. No one has to make decisions' straight away.

Henry: Mm. I know. Well, take today as a first date? I'm sure it could class as one.

Elenor: I guess it does. We visited a lot of date like places.

Henry: Maybe we could go on a private one in the future?

Elenor: That would be nice.

Prince Henry of Stroud, the future King we need?

Today, at a visit with the diplomats of Shang Simla, our very own Prince Henry showed his true colours. He was gifted with an ornate vase, created from the potters in the Palace of Peace. However the Prince seemed to show distate and decided to accidentally drop the priced possession.  However we all know of Henry's temper, and so do the diplomats. The Prince was quick to release a statement of apology....

Elenor: So, he really isn't all that nice... I hope he's grown up from his teenage years. *She sighs softly, moving clothes into her suitcases* Well, it's not like I need to marry the man, just.. just see where it goes.

The Doomed Princess

Princess Elenor and Crown Prince Henry of Stroud visited Strout Memorial House. This is a first time visit of any Albion Royal to the house in decades. The house is hope to trinkets and ‘old fashioned’ items that the royal family and aristocrat families had used back in the Victorian ages. The Memorial House is also home to the tombs of previous Kings and Queens of Stroud.

During the visit, Henry was seen chatting and joking with Elenor, even making her laugh at one point.

Ana: We have quite an array of new gowns for tonight, ma'am. The Royal Designer has paired them together with what he feels is the best ensemble for the Royal Ball tonight.

Elenor: I see, just these three?

Ana: Yes. A gorgeous white gown designed by Scarlett J. She is from Oldale, so it would be a gracious nod towards another part of Albion if we were her design. Then we have a pearl and velvet gown by GS Designs. They're from the city, not too far from here. Then finally we have a Stroud gown, your mother included it. She thought it might be a good sign for our future alliance.

Elenor: It's a difficult choice. I rather we don't go with the Stroud design. Simply because we may not have this alliance with them just yet, I don't want to jump the gun.

Ana: Of course.. So that leaves us with the blue and the white.

Elenor: Which do you prefer?

Ana: Well, I'm biased towards the Stroud dress. Simply because I'm from there, the designs are like none other. But if we have to look at the other two dresses, well, I prefer the blue on you ma'am.

Elenor: I think I agree.. blue is more my colour. You never said you were from Stroud?

Ana: Well, no. It never really came up. I only lived there until I was about eleven. My mother was from Albion and my father was from Stroud. I remember Stroud fondly.

Elenor: Interesting.. Ana, please, could we go out for coffee one day? So I can ask you more about your time in Stroud.. There's so much I don't know.

Ana: Yes, of course ma'am. Whenever you want to.

Elenor: Great, I have some free time in a few days. I will find a time and let you know. Thank you so much Ana. It's nice to be able to talk to someone who knows a bit more about Stroud. My mother is completely clueless.

Ana: Whatever knowledge I can give you, it would be my pleasure.

Elenor: Thank you, I'll see you soon.

So yeah, @gracisims sort of inspired this! She missed Elenor and I thought I’d bring her back for a short story! Thank you!

I did have to remake some sims for this as the only sims I had saved were Elenor, Sofia and Holly (Sister of Henry.. Yeah I didn’t save Henry) I also didn’t save any of the lots that you would of seen early in Albion Royals, so I will remake them but they may look different. Same with CC used.

Queen Consort Elizabeth: Ah, Sebastian. I've been looking for you. News from Henry in Albion arrived this morning. He says that the Albion Royals are more than happy to do a state visit. He has yet to set a date, but Queen Elena has offered her daughter, Princess Elenor, for the visit.

King Sebastian: Hmm. Elenor? I haven't heard much about her. Is she a willing person?

Elizabeth: Willing?

Sebastian: Yes. Willing. Willing to do as we wish to strengthen ties? Willing to do whatever we ask for the sake of duty to her kingdom?

Elizabeth: Well I would imagine so. But I don't think this is a great idea, Sebastian. Albion has been an enemy of Stroud for centuries. We don't mix well. We shouldn't marry our son and your heir to an Albionite..

Sebastian: Oh hush. You do not understand. I don't expect you too, of course. Politics isn't a woman's game.

Elizabeth: *angrily* I understand very well.. I just don't like this idea. Henry is my little boy.. he deserves love. Not some harlot from Albion.

Sebastian: Oh, for goodness sake Elizabeth. We didn't marry for love. We married for money, remember. So don't start feeling like Henry deserves love now. We're important people who need to stay on top. You don't do that by marrying for love, whatever love means. Henry knows what I need from him. That's why he went to Albion in the first place. He knows what he must do. I don't want you getting in the way. Got that?

Henry: I can see how. Sorry, I don't think I've personally introduced myself. I'm Henry, Crown Prince of Stroud. It's an honour to meet you.

Elenor: It's a pleasure to meet you. Welcome to Albion.

Henry: No need to curtsey, Princess, we are of equal standing. I actually came to ask you something personally.

Elenor: Me? Not my brother? You do know he has a higher standing than me.

Henry: I guess, but he will be no fun. He seems like such a bore. Plus, I would rather a gorgeous and intelligent woman, such as yourself, to take this on.

Elenor: *Laughs softly* Oh, you've intrigued me, what is it?

Henry: Stroud is hoping to strengthen the weak ties with Albion, so I would like to offer yourself an official trip to Stroud. As my guest of honour.

Elenor: Well, how could I turn down such an offer? I'm sure my mother knows what's going on?

Henry: Yes, of course. I had to go through her first. She agreed that you would be the best for this type of engagement.

Elenor: I'm glad you both have such high standards of me, I'll happily help Stroud and Albion mend their relationship. It would be good to see the two countries get on and be allies with each other.
