#tea magic

Hi guys.

Since we are all stuck in quarantine I’ve been connecting to nature; specifically herbs and what I can do with them.

So far I’ve made dandelion honey. I’ll open the jars next week!

And today I tried my hand at homemade tea blends. I’m more of a coffee drinker but I loved this blend!

This blend is for anti-depression & self love ❤️

The ingredients are all 1 teaspoon:

Jasmine, Lavender, Rose Petals, Hibiscus, Chammomile, & Mint. After I brewed it I added 2 tbs of honey 🍯

I hope you are all staying safe right now. Wash your hands & May the gods above bless you ✨

Healing & Growth Tea

Green tea - healing, Mars, passion

Ginger - beauty, chi, sun, mars

Sub:greenwise green tea with ginger teabag

Vanilla Extract -love

Cinnamon -fortune, divination, psychic, sun, fire, protection

Almond Milk

Honey - warmth, prosperity, happiness

Use this brew to banish negative thoughts and worries. Use for desired late nights, or early mornings to wake. Green tea is associated with boosting immunity and metabolism, cleansing your chi - along with the restorative properties of ginger. Cinnamon allows for cleansing of your third eye, and improving psychic abilities. You can add sugar to your honey for sweeter words and thoughts. Boosts tarot readings/divination powers. Best time to drink: mornings, sun showers, when you’re feeling run down, Sunday mornings.

A visit to Wren’s Apothecary…

Blue Pea Flowers are pretty magical all by themselves. Butterfly Pea Flower tea is full of potent antioxidants, lowering blood pressure, and has even been studied for its ability to help protect the skin against premature aging (it fights against glycation, which is protein damage caused by an influx of sugar molecules).

In addition, I associate blue pea flowers with magic itself. In a tea, the flower tea changes color based on the pH of the liquid. A drop of lemon juice, for example, turns the drink purple. So, for me, I associate it with transformation and intentional change.

a cup of sunshine

Here is a recipe for liquid positivity to help you all through these days.

You’ll need:
fresh ginger (just a little!)
fresh lemon

optional: homemade cinnamon buns (will heal your heart with immediate effect)

Brew your tea with a bit of ginger and add a squeeze of lemon. Add the honey with a spoon and use it to stir clockwise while thinking of a happy memory. (I might have had a chant for this, but I forgot it already, and it was probably in multiple languages - pardon me, I’m a bit of mess after not leaving the house for two weeks. You can make your own chant if you’want.)

Put on a song that makes you feel good. I chose Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles.

Sit by a window and open it if possible. Breathe.

Drink up. You’re alright.

🍃Earl Grey Milk Tea.🍃

With everyone feeling under the weather, or having the feeling of panic in their bodies. I decided to share with you guys a recipie that helps me calm myself. I’ll add a list of the magick of the drink below the recipie.

What you need:

  • 2 earl grey tea bags
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 1/3 cup of half & half (or any other milk alternative. I wouldn’t suggest coconut milk however.)
  • 3 brown sugar cubes
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of 100% pure honey
  • A pot
  • A spoon
  • A mug

What to do:

  1. Bring the 4 cups of water to boil in the pot on the stove.
  2. Once the water is boiling set the heat on low and add the tea bags. Let the tea steep for 4 minutes.
  3. After 3 minutes of steeping, add the half & half (or what ever other milk product you chose.) to the tea and stir for about 30 seconds . As you stir breathe deeply and exhale slowly; put intent into your movements.
  4. Let the tea steep for another 3 minutes, remove it from the heat once finished and discard of the tea bags.
  5. Add the brown sugar cubes and the honey to your favorite mug, **CAREFULLY** pour the hot tea into the mug and stir slowly, once again breathe deeply and put intent into your work.
  6. Enjoy.

The Magick of the Tea:

Ingredients & their magical purposes:

EARL GREY: earl grey is a black tea which represents Winter, the energy is masculine and the best crystal to hold while sipping it would be Obsidian. Earl grey tea offers courage, rids of boredom and enhances a conscious mind.

HONEY:honey is mostly known for love spells, but it also offers a perfect substance for self-love. Honey sweetens a moment, a life.

BROWN SUGAR: brown sugar is amazing for overcoming enemies and negativity, much like honey it is a sweetener for life.

☕ About 20 elderberries

☕ 3 pinches Lemon balm (Melissa)

☕ 5 pinches Chamomile (loose flowers)

☕ 1 teaspoon orange peel

☕ 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

☕ ½ teaspoon ground ginger

🍯 Raw or Manuka honey to taste (optional)

Boil about 3 cups water for ten minutes, add herbs and steep for at least 30 minutes. Strain, if needed. Alternately, after bringing the water to a boil, add the herbs in a reusable tea bag or infuser. Once cooled, chill in a large jar or pitcher with tea bag or infuser for a strong brew. Recipe makes about 2-3 cups. Drink one cup daily to boost immune system.

💜Calming Bath Sachet💜

I threw this little thing together today, testing out different bath rituals and things! I took some scrap muslin that was leftover from a costume I made and added a little extra detail at the top just cause! Then I put in some lavender buds and loose earl grey tea and tied it off with some twine! It’s very good for relaxation and calming of the mind. Just stick this little guy in your hot bath with some other ingredients like milk, oats, other herbs, and even bath products! It’s best used for meditation and can last multiple bath times. And the bag can be refilled once you desire to replace the tea and/or lavender!
