One day, Price decides to go on a road trip with Gaz, Soap and Ghost.
Destination? A house he owns near the beach.
His boys are thrilled with the idea and start packing as soon as he tells them about it.
Price would be lying if he said he's not super excited too. He carries an instax camera with him so that when they return, he can decorate part of his office wall with memories of the trip.
...
Price drives, Gaz is his co-driver and Ghost and Soap are in the back seats. At first Ghost had offered to take turns driving with Price but they all preferred him to stay away from the wheel.
They talk, listen to the "road trip playlist" Gaz made for the occasion, look at the landscape through the window and hear Soap asking "are we there yet?" over and over.
At some point, Soap suddenly falls silent and when Gaz turns to see why, he finds his two friends sleeping soundly, Soap's head resting comfortably on Ghost's shoulder.
Of course he wouldn't miss an opportunity like that and asks Price for the camera. That's the first photo taken on the trip.
...
The second one is of a sand sculpture, a mini version of their base.
Soap and Ghost spend at least two hours on it.
Price is impressed by the precision and attention to detail they put into making it and so it doesnt take long for him to pull out his camera. Seconds after the picture is printed, a ball from a child who's playing near them falls on their work, completely destroying it.
Gaz can't help but laugh loudly, Soap seems like he's about to cry, and Price tries very hard to stop Ghost from committing child murder.
...
Photos number three, four and five come with a less chaotic story behind.
At night, when Ghost's having trouble to sleep, Price sits on the couch with him and plays a movie he thinks he'll enjoy. Once the movie is over, he stays up with Ghost until he gets back to sleep.
Precisely, Price takes the third photo one time he sees Ghost being completely absorbed in the story of a film he chose for him, head resting on both hands and eyes glued to the screen. Price thinks he looks like a cat looking at a fish tank.
The forth is actually a request from Soap.
One late afternoon he finds Price entertained with a book and asks him to read it outloud for him. Price gladly accepts and since then they start having "reading sessions" everyday.
Soap lies down with his head in Price's lap, listening carefully to his soothing voice. From time to time he feels one of Price's hands run through his hair in such a relaxing way that it makes him think he is going to fall asleep at any moment.
It means so much to Soap when they finish their first book together that he asks Price to take a picture of him posing with it. It had been a long time since he was able to finish a book because of how hard it is for him to concentrate on reading most of the time.
As for the fifth photo, it's taken by Ghost while he watches (and hears) Price teaching Gaz how to play the guitar. He admires Price's patience and Gaz's determination and commitment, who strives to learn despite struggling with the barre chords from time to time.
The camera captures Price's proud look over a very focused Gaz trying to play a new song he taught him a couple of minutes ago.
...
During their little vacations, they take many more photos. Price and Ghost after beating Gaz and Soap in a beach volleyball match, Price posing next to a "1# dad captain" mug the boys gave him half jokingly-half seriously, Soap and Gaz having a water fight in the sea, Ghost surrounded by seagulls after having fed one of them, Ghost and Soap's first kiss after having returned from a walk on the beach in which they both confessed their feelings for each other, etc.
...
Price's favorite photo is one of the last to be taken tho.
While on the beach, Gaz asks a man passing by to take a picture of them.
Quickly the four settle in front of the camera. Price in the middle, Ghost behind him and Gaz and Soap on his sides.
Just as the man is about to hit the camera button, the boys unexpectedly pounce on Price, engulfing him in a big loving hug.
They are laughing, their heads leaning against each other, their arms interlocked,
and he never felt more at home.

Platonic yandere yautja x human child reader
Aww dad yautja😊 I didn't write for yautjas in months!! Hopefully u enjoy it!! Also i used they/them for kid. No tw, only cuteness and wholesome dad figure yautja👹 request open
Dad yautja with human kid
Bro is confused ??? Tf??? Why is there a child here??
He either found them abandoned in middle of nowhere or accidentally killed their perents, by 'accidentaly' i mean ofc he wanted to kill them he just didn't know there was a child nearby and now he feels bad
Kinda finds human pups ugly😭 why are you so smol and loud wtf
Dad!yautja after he kinda adopts y/n he gets too overprotective! Like dude won't leave their side at all, especially when you guys are outside; dude will pick them up and just carry around.
Can't cook to save his life, he kinda set kitchen on fire. And humans cant eat raw meat, so now you are on fruit diet for now (and veggies)
Had this parental instinct to teach them everything, how to shoot, find food, basic self-defence, overall taking good care of themselfs. But he kinda likes that he has to provide for them, it gives him control yknow
When he carries them around everywhere! He acually lets them sit on his shoulders or just hang on his neck😓😍
Cant say no to those cute big eyes! Yes he will let them 'decorate' his armor (with glitter and stickers) and he will let them paint his nails and he will lisen to them gossip about their friends.
If his kid is a little artist and walks up to him and says "papa i drew you!" He does not care that he looks like a lizard nor that they didn't color it perfectly. Dude is purring, picking y/n up and he carries this drawing in pocket everywhere
Other yautjas say that he spoils them, but he disagrees! Your a HUMAN baby, i mean yeah your basically one of yautjas now but!!! Your tiny! And your skin is so squishy!!!
He had to learn how to comb their hair cuz at some point y/n simply refused to cut it (me too lil guy) and he respects them so much he won't just do something against them
Kinda wishes he could understand human body language more
Also about body language i can imagine kid just kinda mimicing yatuja body language and habits. Like dad!yatuja will say "child please go to bed its late" the kid will just angry respond with a hiss👹 "hsssss👽🦎" "?????" If yaujtas had eyebrows, he would rise them
If y/n is a girl, and she has her first period? Dude panics! HUHH WHAT BLOOD??? FROM WHERE!?? UHHHH????
Dude tries to be a perfect father figure, he tries to have similar intrests with his kid so they can connect more, but if y/n is totally not into hunting, collecting, nature themed stuff, Yautja is more than happy to catch up with whatever teens are into this days, but he will judge the hell out of tv shows (if they watch any)
I kinda forgot it suppose to be yandere so it turned out to be just wholesome im so sorry
Understands that kid needs privacy but he will just go invisible mode and lurk in shadows! Like what if somone attacks you??? Or worse! What if you meet some humans that he doenst like??? What if they will tell y/n all lies about what 'bad war crimes' he commited and what 'murderous' his kind is!! Those are lies pls dont lisen to humans
No boy/girlfriends!!! Nuh uh!! Your his little baby you cant go doing all those... things... with some human. ugh! this person probably can't even hunt for you!! Or give you nice treasures!! Or build a pretty nest!! Why would you like them my child?? Look at all those trophies i gathered for all those years! You should stay here!
He loves the fact that he lives in some wild ass jungle and y/n cant leave him due to all those dangers around, plus he loves that y/n will always stay tiny(in comparison obviously) and weak so be basically needs to provide for them! Right???
I used x reader tags ONLY to reach bigger audience

I'd love to know more about Bartholomew, and how they befriended him! although it is very funny that something that wild happened entirely offscreen XD
I thought this would be short, but apparently I had more to say about Barty than I thought! So here:
Bartholomew was acquired from a crane game filled with haunted dolls that was set up at Gravity Falls' mall. I do not know why that crane game was there. It's just the kind of thing that happens in Gravity Falls. Each haunted doll is possessed by the evil ghost of a creepy Victorian child. Dipper & Mabel didn't discover this until the next night.
In life, Bartholomew was a 14-year-old necromancer who bound his spirit to a doll so he could live forever—which is why he happens to know so much about poppets and can teach the twins how they work. He's hoping they'll bind Bill to a poppet, he'll die, and he'll remain attached to the poppet, so Bartholomew will have a new haunted doll pal.
(He was not friends with the other dolls in the crane game machine. You know how it turns out wild wolves in normal packs are really friendly and cooperative with each other, and vicious alpha wolf dominance fights only happen when wolves are forced together in captivity and are stressed and defensive? Yeah. That crane game was cramped. Nobody made friends in there.)
He's spent over a century as your typical feared creepy haunted doll, shuffling between locked trunks and antique malls and dusty attics and paranormal investigators' houses that mysteriously burn down and thrift shops. His prior crimes could fuel a horror movie series fit to rival any Chucky or Annabelle you could think of.
His original ambition—as it always is when he's in a house with a boy age 12 to 17—is to murder the kid (and anyone who tries to stop him) and take over his life. We are unclear on how an immobile porcelain doll intends to pose as a living human child. I'm not sure he's ever thought through that part of the plan. He thought killing Dipper would've made a particularly sweet deal since he would've gotten a free sister out of it.
It turns out he does all this because he's desperately lonely and unloved after over a century as a creepy haunted doll, and he just wants a family and friends his own age again. Mabel quelled his murderous urges by saying he can have a bed and live in their room and be their friend as long as he doesn't kill anyone. Usually when kids find out he's alive, they run crying to the adults about the scary living doll begging to get rid of it, and the adults either don't believe them or join in trying to get rid of him. Running into a couple of kids that are totally chill with a haunted doll as long as he doesn't commit murder is a new experience for him. This is the most positive socialization he's had since he died. He's turned around real fast.
So far, Mabel and Dipper haven't told anyone else about Bartholomew. Not on purpose, they just kind of dealt with it on their own at like 3 a.m. and then never thought to bring him up to the adults. Even Bill hasn't noticed him yet. Probably in late August the kids'll end up in a conversation with the grunkles like "wait, did we really forget to mention the haunted doll we've been living with all summer??" Typically he only speaks in front of children. There's a chance Candy and Grenda have been told about him, but due to the Bill situation they haven't been over to meet Barty yet.
He was not in Gravity Falls last year and doesn't really get who Bill Cipher is. What he knows is that Bill is a cute girl who's allegedly a guy who's allegedly some kind of demon from space who can single-handedly destroy Earth. He's read War of the Worlds, he knows all about destroyers from space; but he didn't realize Martians have demons too. He just kind of accepts this all as true, but doesn't really fear Bill (except when he thinks Bill might be in a mood to smash delicate porcelain dolls).
Dipper and Mabel often catch him posed like he was doing something right before other people came in. Sometimes they come home and Barty is posed like he's been petting Waddles. They don't know if this means he's actually let Waddles see him move.
Have you ever watched The Boy? He looks and moves kind of like The Boy, although he's closer to the size of a baby doll and a bit less realistic. Creepy formally-dressed porcelain doll, only moves when nobody's in the room and/or looking at it.
His haunted doll powers include creepily turning off all the lights, writing messages on foggy windows/mirrors, causing disembodied knocking/rattling, slowly dragging the bedsheet off a sleeping child in the middle of the night, teleporting when no one's looking, slipping strange whispers into TV/radio/cassette audio, causing furniture to rearrange in strange ways during the night, and—if he gets really mad or distressed—he can briefly act as a poltergeist and make things levitate and fly around.
As a ghost possessing a doll, he's able to see other ghosts. This makes him—along with Bill, disembodied-Dipper, [redacted], [redacted], and sometimes [redacted]—one of the few members of the cast that can see the mindscape.
He secretly doesn't mind that Mabel calls him Barty Mew-Mew and is increasingly beginning to think he'd kind of like being a catboy. Mabel will be ecstatic when she finds out.

Scrolling through your asoiaf tag and you have such good and correct opinions like how can anyone love just Dany or just Sansa or just Arya like how can anyone not see the parallels between Dany and Sansa it makes me feel so crazy like why are there so few people who love all the girlies?? I genuinely love every single female POV character and can’t imagine hating any of them. I mean sure yeah Cersei is a villain but you’re telling me her tragedy doesn’t touch your heart? Watching this woman desperately try to avoid her prophecy as it unfolds before you doesn’t have you in a death grip? Or like are you unmoved by Sansa telling an annoying snotty little boy how brave he is because she wants him to feel better? Dany comforting Missandei when her brother dies? Arya getting to the house of the black and white and immediately thinning to being a man a cup of water (or at least what she thought was water)? How about Sansa telling Joffrey she hopes Robb cuts his head off? Dany sassing the man who wants to open the fighting pits? Arya telling Jaquen to kill himself? Like please come on. All three girls are obviously different but they share so many very endearing traits. I am fiercely holding tight to my delusion that Dany and Sansa will bond over stories and songs and Arya will teach Dany about all the flowers in Westeros and then Sansa will show them how to make flower crowns and embroider little emblems on Arya’s clothes
First of all tysm!!!!
The whole arya vs sansa vs dany fandom fight frustrates me to no end, mainly because all parties involved seem to have little to no empathy to the characters whose stans they oppose. It's all maliciously extrapolating some parts of the text to make them see worse than what they are (ex: daenerys' "if i look back i am lost" getting twisted from "dany knows that dwelling on what ifs and turning your back after you have taken a commitment will only damage you in the long term" in "dany doesn't want to reflect on her past mistakes and will go mad and get stabbed to death" or sansa getting frustrated at sweetrobin being a sign of her being ableist and classist while it's. Just a normal reaction of a stressed and traumatized 13 yo who is otherwise very sweet to her cousin)
For loving the female characters same! Even those who commit outwardly villainous acts do get lots of humanizing moments, Cersei, as awful as she is, is simply a product of the hyper misogynistic society she lives in plus years of parental and spousal abuse (and the doomed by prophecy vibes) and. I genuinely don't get how people can look at the walk of shame and say it's a fitting punishment to her crimes
Overall all the hate for female characters that are more complex or more driven or more morally ambiguous than what most female characters are presented as in other media in a fandom who (supposedly) prides itself in liking morally ambiguous characters is.. frustrating, really. I blame both fandom misogyny but also the GoT series, as it's outright changes in female character's actions and stories to make them look better or worse than what they originally were skewered the visions of almost everyone in the fandom (arya is an egregious victim of this. Scenes such as her caring for Weasel or her befriending sex workers in braavos don't exist and they added that "all girls are idiot" scene that i hate and they removed all her plan to free the northmen from harrenal and she got turned from traumatized child to hashtag no one super cool assassin and her character got straight up murdered in the tv series.)
Oh and also for kickstarting the whole jonsa vs jonerys thing which i'm pretty sure is the origin of the stupid dany vs sansa wars
And yes!! Dany Sansa and Arya should get to meet and reunite! While i do think that there will be some slight tensions between Sansa and Arya because they left on Not So Well terms, they have also matured a lot, so i do think they would have an heartfelt reunion. Meanwhile Dany and Arya could bond because of both their connection to Braavos and Arya's admiration for those who free slaves, and Dany would empathize (and feel a common ground) with Sansa for her being a child who had all her family die and got married extremely young while beeing creeped on by older men, while Sansa, who is shown to admire women like Margaery or Myranda, who are shown to be very keen regarding politics or social issues, something that Dany is
In the end, i genuinely hope that all three of these traumatized little girls get their happy ending and none of them dies, they all are interesting and complex characters that share parallels with each other, and it sucks that because of stupid ship wars or discussions on who would get the throne they get pitted against each other. THEY WOULD BE FRIENDS Y'ALL

I'm gonna guess it's because it's unclear how much of the child actually remains once their parts are used in a toy. A lot of the toys talk like adults, and also Catnap has committed horrific torture and murder, so there's some basis for the thought.
Personally I think it could go either way but regardless what canon makes clear later (or not) people are gonna ignore what parts of canon they wanna ignore. I do it because the idea of a child doing all that murder and torture makes me intensely uncomfortable.
Also Look no further than the outpouring of love for Dogday and aus rescuing him as evidence of people deciding sometimes canon just isn't totally for them andjsjfkg
TW: Child abuse and Violent Content ahead
I think you're missing the point that people shouldn't be sexualizing kids just because their trauma makes them act less like kids, Which is what people are doing right now and why I am speaking up about it.
These kids- Catnap specifically even, were subject to traumatizing abuse as a child and in toy form. This isn't even mentioning that they were teaching kids advanced subjects in science- possibly to imply that kids that weren't turned into toys became workers for playtime co. Of course he doesn't act like a kid, and of course he does all these horrible things. They were never treated like a kid. They were never taught anything else.
It's horrible and awful for that to happen to a child- but like most (Fictional, this obviously isnt always the case in real life) horror games- when a kid is subject to that kind of learning they repeat what they see. (Ie: Fnaf is also guilty of letting it's fanbase make sexualized art of the animatronics when they ALSO had dead kids in them. Kids who killed security guards in the worst way they could because it was all they knew and they were vengeful)
What specifically irked me and made me remind people that 'hey these characters are kids, don't be gross' is that theres already a massive amount of p*rn of them, and im sorry but i just DONT think its appropriate to be making that stuff, au or not, of a child character. Maybe if the context was REALLY FUCKING DIFFERENT, but a lot of what i'm seeing ISNT DIFFERENT FROM SOURCE. Which is really gross.
I am not sorry when i say that i will be blocking people who are doing it- because I just don't condone it. It's gross icky nasty. They're kids.

So while I’m all for drawing the conversation away from legality, trauma, innocence, bashing c!Tommy in the name of c!Dream lol….etc. I did basically write this essay about c!Tommy first and someone asked me to share, so I shall. @poisedava this is for you. ;) <3
Here’s the thing and this is important - it does not go both ways. If c!Tommy wants to be considered an innocent ‘child’, a teenager, a minor, who is too young and naive to know that what he does is wrong and how that hurts people and has consequences then he doesn’t just get to act like an adult and start wars, serve as a government official, build nations, torture, steal, murder, enslave, commit terrorism, blackmail, assassinate…etc and face no repercussions because ‘he didn’t know better.’ If you want to act like an adult then you’ll be treated as such.
Now I don’t believe that we should view the dsmp in the realm of irl crimes, since there is no legal system or set of rules in place in the dsmp (besides the ones c!Dream set and everyone breaks of course), but if ya’ll are going to say c!Dream deserves prison because of his ‘crimes’ and write off c!Tommy’s actions as less because he is a minor then I will look at it, especially because the term ‘minor’ is connected to the legal system of our world and that is where we are deriving this perceived innocence.
On that note, there are crimes in many countries that even if you’re a minor or a child you can be tried as an adult for reasons like a severe crime (for example first degree murder) and/or if it is a repeated offense despite disciplinary actions. In this case, both apply, as many of the things listed above are repeated abhorrent offenses. Secondly, the definition of ‘minor’ and the age of becoming an adult, while typically set at 18 is not universal. In Scotland for instance, 16 is the legal age of adulthood, which is how old c!Tommy was when he joined the smp.
But looking beyond legally speaking, I for one hardly consider 16 to be a child or an innocent naive minor in the first place. At 16 I could legally drive and drove me and my sister to school. I made sure people had what they needed to keep things from falling apart, whether that’s helping with grocery shopping, making dinner, running errands, helping with homework, making lunches… etc. I hardly think someone who drives is a child unable to face consequences like speedings, drinking and driving… etc. On the topic of age I would also like to highlight that the gap is like 5 years, which all things considered is not a very big gap, not to mention one of the reasons young people are considered irresponsible and given a bit of slack is because until the age of 25 your brain is still developing, and as c!Dream was also under the age of 25 that also applies to him and a huge portion of the server.
But being young doesn’t give you a free pass to do whatever you want and then complain about the consequences. You don’t get to just run a red light and kill kids crossing the road and claim innocence because you are a new driver. Because you are young, because you were distracted, because you were just trying to change the song and didn’t see them, because you didn't mean to. You are still responsible for killing people.
And if you don't want to be responsible, if you want to be treated like a child, then stay a child. But as a child you are not considered mature enough to know what is right from wrong, which is where guidance from guardians comes in. Children (really generally speaking), don’t know better, which is why they get grounded, spanked, their mouths washed out with soap, forced to write lines, get things taken away, time out, scolding… etc - punished. They are not free and independent to do what they like. Now obviously, when it comes to the dsmp there are really no such guardians or parents in charge of the minors, but the point still stands, if you do not understand your actions are wrong then someone should teach you and (whether you or not you agree with that) that is often through punishment.
Under that guise, c!Dream taking away c!Tommy’s discs for starting wars and breaking the rules and murdering him, is a form of parenting. (You can argue with whether you consider it good parenting… but that's not really the point). Even further, Exile then could be considered a more extreme form of time out and/or grounding, which is extreme because the violations are extreme. If you steal a cookie you are forced to go to your room for a bit, if you burn down the king’s house then you get exiled from the land. In Exile, he is forced to lose items which could be considered revoking privileges and getting his belongings taken away (like if your parents ever took your phone for a week). Hell, even hitting him with the axe could be seen as a super extreme spanking for not complying with his punishment. Now am I staying that makes it justified? Am I saying those were ok things to happen? Am I saying c!Tommy deserved being treated like that? No. Not really, I am just simply pointing out that in a world where the crime isn’t spray painting a building but burning said building down in an act of terrorism it almost makes sense in a twisted way that the punishments are more severe to fit the infraction.
(I would also like to point out that c!Phil has a moment with c!Tommy where he forced him to smelt stone and then destroy it over and over again and isn’t that kinda what c!Dream was doing in Exile?… just saying, not to say the behavior is right, just something I noticed and thought was interesting.) And the reason why the act of losing items is important is because a huge part of his character arc is surrounded by the value of objects and treating people like he treats objects. It was a big moment of deliberation for him to give up the discs for c!Tubbo’s life. Do you even realize how screwed up that is? A person over an object. But the thing is, somehow in c!Tommy’s mind those two things were synonymous, he was never there for c!Tubbo when c!Tubbo needed someone to have his back. When c!Tubbo goes to get revenge for his missing child and dead husband, he teams up with his literal worst enemies the people who took his canonical lives. Where was c!Tommy?… But whenever c!Tommy needed c!Tubbo to go after c!Dream or support him even with the things c!Tubbo disagreed with, he’s there. Honestly, he’s less of a best friend and more of a sword. The dsmp completes c!Tommy’s character arc by him giving up the discs for c!Tubbo’s life and to for once listen to c!Dream. His character arc, put very very simply, was valuing and treating people as people instead of things.
So the - it’s understandable, it’s less bad than what c!Dream did because he’s young and didn’t know better - is just not reasonable to me. Exile being used as justification isn’t really valid either. Ok so for a week, yea he was abused, he lost his things, people didn’t visit him, sure some were tricked into not visiting him, c!Dream took all of his items over and over, c!Dream hurt him when he did not comply, sure c!Tommy was suicidal as a result. But ya know, when no one else could be bothered to show up, c!Dream came by everyday. Plus abuse on the server is like scuffed so I hardly hold Exile as a gold standard for trauma like y’all I don’t know if I need to make a complication of how many times on the dsmp people hit each other with axes and hurt eachother or force eachother to comply or something. Or if I need to make a list of everytime c!Tommy has done worse even before Exile, but yeeeesh. Like don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Exile was deserved, I don’t think anyone deserves abuse. Period. But on the scale of the dsmp and considering how many people he hurt and the circumstances that got him there, I find it hard to feel for him. And that’s coming from someone who (before medication) used to have panic attacks multiple times a week, who has been bullied, who has been isolated, who has been abandoned and betrayed by my best friends, who has been so so lonely, who has been suicidal, and who was a nasty person as a result of being hurt. So I get it, I really do. But to me it doesn’t really matter much, it doesn’t make him the hero, or redeemed, or innocence, or any more likable, especially when so many other characters on the dsmp have similar instances on their arcs.
And if we want to compare, c!Tommy’s ‘crimes’ to c!Dream’s because he’s ‘just as bad,’ the thing is, I’m not so sure that’s true, for many reasons. One of which is that c!Dream has really only ever reacted. Over and over he gets pushed into reacting, but usually he gives people a way out and he tries to do the better thing at first, but eventually after failing he turns towards the latter. While on the other hand, c!Tommy continues to provoke, over and over and over. Look no further than the finale where he shows up to the prison to assassinate c!Dream, after c!Dream literally hasn’t done anything to him since the prison break (unless you count c!Tommy and c!Wilbur breaking in… which again - provoke). And there really is no such transformation for c!Tommy, he doesn’t start off trying to do the right thing at all, which also brings us to motivation… which continues to baffle me, what is c!Tommy’s motivation? Because if it’s truly to have a home and be happy with his friends then why does he constantly do things that would jeopardize that?
So, you want me to feel bad for and root for someone - who often worked against their own stated motivation, who did drugs, tortured people, started wars, killed, enslaved, destroyed, used, stole, was sexist, xenophobic, disrespectful and constantly talked over people, who didn’t even have his friend’s back more importantly his best friend’s, c!Tubbo’s, back who continued to risk his life for c!Tommy’s schemes - because what? He is a minor? Because he was abused and suicidal after facing the consquences of his own actions? Because we get his pov? Because he declared himself the hero? Because c!Dream personally targeted him for no reason - because he’s so innocent and was no threat to c!Dream… after he literally KILLED HIM multiple times with much less armor, then with no armor at all (in one of the first streams)? …..…. Like heh?
Ah nah you’re so right… c!Dream definitely deserved prison - He killed c!Tommy after all!… in a war, where he was given a chance to surrender or face no mercy… in a fair dual, where he set the terms… in prison, where he provoked c!Dream, killed the cat c!Dream admitted to caring about all after c!Dream had been no doubt going insane from being isolated in prison for months already… I mean… come on, in no way do I see any of those as specifically targeting c!Tommy (don’t even get me started on the finale where he mentions Spirit just to piss c!Dream off).
And ya know, after saying all of that, I would even go as far as to say that c!Tommy is not a hero, nor even an anti-hero, since he is neither selfless, noble or full of goodness, which are some of the more fundamental qualities. In fact, Theseus, who c!Techno calls c!Tommy, is a Greek hero who in the beginning becomes infamous because he slays many savage murderers and monsters on his way to Athens. But I ask you, what savagery has c!Tommy stopped? What noble feats has he done for the sake of the safety of people?… He may be a protagonist, but honestly I don’t think he qualifies as a hero. Sure, both c!Dream and c!Techno’s reference Theseus, but they are really more highlighting the end of his life. Overall, I don’t think hero (even a flawed Greek one) is an adequate description for him. Perhaps anti-villain would be more fitting, a villain with some heroic traits?… I mean his most heroic moments are probably the duel, willing to fight in doomsday with or without help, and willing to be nuked, but like eh… the first two were over a piece of land, a country. It wasn’t about protecting people. I mean in both of those he was part of provoking the conflict in the first place, so is it heroic to help in a conflict that you helped cause? And in the last one, I mean it is the end of his arc so anti-villain technically still works for having a good selfless heroic moment at the end ;) ……

I've been having the same thought for several nights, what is the difference between the love that Amane/Hanako feels for Tsukasa and the one he has for Yashiro? [what do you think the difference is, no matter how slight and subtle and unnoticed, it sounds or looks?]
Thinking about it a lot, I realized that I had a belief (or theory) that Hanako had learned from the situation with Tsukasa and how he shouldn't force people to stay with him. However, I see the last chapter and I can only see a Hanako/Amane who STILL wants (will force, in Tsukasa's eyes) his brother to be with him. He won't let him go, not again. He won't allow it as long as he can and even if it is impossible for him to stop Tsukasa from destroying himself.
Although Tsukasa and Nene are similar, not only in actions, but also in their way of loving Amane/Hanako. But Amane/Hanako love them differently. Or, well, put better, feelings (however same they are, how similar and identical) vary in a small distinction: Amane/Hanako behave differently with their two lovers and how they should remain.
With Nene, he is willing to let her go: let her grow up, become a young adult, let her meet other boys, let her forget him forever (and it will be good for her, just an adventure in her youth).
But with Tsukasa? Forget it, he won't let him. He will be dead (he already is), disabled and buried five meters underground with a padlock rather than let him go [It's a joke, I'm just joking jaksjaka]
Or maybe it's just a saving them thing? Amane saved Tsukasa, as he fervently claims and believes. With Yashiro he also just wants to save her from death, so he won't kill her of course. They're different situations.
Hero complex, they call it like this
Although murder and suicide seem excessive to me. Seriously, he killed him to save him and then himself? Or was the suicide already agreed upon before? I will save you and since I can't live without you and you shouldn't live without me, I will commit suicide?
From time to time this happens to me, I think, I write it down and I end up rambling until I find a small alternative.
But seriously, do you think there's any difference between his love for both of them? [I mean, regardless of whether that love is different or the same, knowing Hanako and his possession of what he loves, let Nene go? Is Aidairo trying to teach us in the midst of all this that if you love someone you have to let them go? 😟]
tchau 🫶 y buenas noches o días, lindo día
So that you can understand better, you need to let go of labels. Yes, Hanako is jealous, he is possessive, but that is a consequence of something.
Generally people with these characteristics are not born that way, they can develop them according to life experiences. Amane lost Tsukasa when he was still four years old.
Can you imagine the pain of a four-year-old child who doesn't even know how to deal with this, having to suddenly lose the brother he loves so much?
Imagine that every day he went out to look for his brother around the house, who called him day after day and was never answered, who stayed at the window every night wishing he would come back.
Tumblr media
Many adults don't know how to deal with this, much less a child. A missing person is almost as painful as death. This is because death confirms that you will never find that person again, but disappearance gives room for hope.
You create hope of seeing that person again even if they have already died, and in some cases you may never find out what happened to them. Can you imagine that this is more tortuous than death? Death makes you learn to deal with the absence of that person, disappearance does not.
After Tsukasa returned Amane may have become insecure, he knows the pain he felt with his absence and he doesn't want to feel that again. Nene is a girl, a girlfriend, he could find as many girlfriends as he wanted, but his brother is unique.
Would you compare a relative of yours to dating? Which one is more important?
Even though Hanako loves Nene, he can handle it, and he is so aware of it that he let her go twice, Nene is a friend he fell in love with, but passion can fade over time, Tsukasa is and always will be his brother.
There is this difference between the type of love.
Amane is trying not to make the same mistakes with Yashiro, but even so, he also advised her not to give up on her own life, like he did with Tsukasa.
Hanako is simply doing everything beyond his power just to save the people he loves.
He wants to save Tsukasa and he wants to save Nene. He doesn't care about saving himself, he just wants them to be okay.
Here love is similar.
Nene and Tsukasa are both in no-win situations. They were chosen by destiny not to continue life. But Hanako is fighting with all his might against it.
He wants them to live.
And if Tsukasa simply wants to leave, he goes along, he can't bear to go through that pain again, he doesn't want to, he gives up any desire and anything to stay by Tsukasa's side.
Their story is long, and the reason Tsukasa disappeared was Amane, which increases his guilt even more. Nene's case is her destiny, and Hanako only wants to change her destiny because he loves her, and loves her enough to keep her safe.
But things are changing, the more Hanako falls in love with her the more the love he feels for her resembles the love he feels for Tsukasa.
Hanako likes the idea of keeping the ones he loves trapped to make sure they don't leave, that they will stay there until he can save them "wait for me, I'll save you"
Tumblr media
He trapped Tsukasa in the boundary for more than twenty years, Tsukasa just had to leave and in a few months he found a way to self-destruct, how long does it take for Tsukasa to remove the seal?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He wanted to keep Nene trapped in the PP arc, or away from him while he looks for a way to save her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's not about heroism, this is about Kou, in Hanako's case it's necessity. He needs to save them, he feels like he has no option, he needs to do this because he loves them.
Hanako is so desperate not knowing what to do that he simply made these choices. The love he feels between Tsukasa and Nene are very similar, but Tsukasa is the priority.
There are many labels we can use on Hanako, but rest assured, he is doing all this to save them both, the problem is that he doesn't consider their wishes.
Hanako doesn't want to feel pain again.
Because you know, death is a relief for those who go, but an eternal pain for those who stay.
Tchau Tchau ^^ ~ bye bye

About The Church of Fontaine's High Priest
There's not enough Fontaine characters to make a 'About the Cultists V', so I made this instead!
For those unfamiliar- this is a Sagau! Modern Cult AU! And I recommend reading this quick brain rot that started it all.
Ft. Modern! Cultist! Neuvillette X Gn! Creator! Reader (only mentioned)
Tw: Cults, kids being in cults, murder, abuse, child abuse, grief, a descent into madness, and intentional lowercase in some parts.
Published: October 16, 2023 (posted at 12:01 am)
Words: 1,670
Pages: 5
He was introduced to the cult via his ex-wife, whom he had a rough divorce with, Egeria Amrita, when he learned she had moved both herself and their shared daughter, Furina, to an unknown location. And he thought about joining when multiple family lawyers in the cult had brought up a loophole that would allow him to be closer to his daughter. But he didn't actually do anything until he learned who owned the mountain-bound house.
 Zhongli Xiangsheng.
His childhood friend; who had gotten him and five others to join a group called the O-Sovereigns. A group who went on adventures everyday, sparred everyday, and traded everyday. A group who's majority never noticed that they went wherever zhongli said, always lost to zhongli, and gave nearly everything to zhongli for free. And, a group who zhongli had, without any punishment, murdered.
 And it was his fault.
For when he awoke after spending months in a medically-induced coma, he was too afraid to testify against his former friend. And so he lied, claiming he didn't remember anything about the incident. And he continued to lie, even when he was told that he might be accused for the crime. He never was, though. And zhongli, despite all of the evidence against him, got off with only weakly therapy sessions.
Logically, as an adult, as a former lawyer, and as a current judge, he knows that zhongli could not have been sent to jail. For Teyvat State had no laws stating that murderous children under the age of ten had to be imprisoned. But he cannot help but hate zhongli, and himself, for what they he had done.
And so he had to join. To protect all of the innocent people zhongli had tricked. And he kept a hidden, written record of every illegal act zhongli had committed. Unfortunately, most of the crimes weren't that severe. For the people were consenting to living there, and consenting to their poor diets. The only people he could get arrested were the child abusers; which was tricky, but he managed.
He spent his time taking care of those kids. Teaching them various things, from math to home economics. The only things he didn't teach were physical education, and the false history Zhongli had created. Still, his teachings got him the nickname 'Papa', especially from the cult's girls.
Things stayed like that for years. Stalk zhongli (something everyone did), report child abusers (everyone thought they abandoned their grace), and teach children. Stalk zhongli, report child abusers, and teach children. Stalk, report, teach. Things got a lot harder when zhongli divided the cult into eight different compounds, though. He couldn't stalk zhongli, for he was bouncing between the temple of liyue and the adeptal domain. He couldn't report child abusers, for the church of fontaine was built to reflect 'fontaine's love-filled personality', so there were none. And he couldn't teach children, for Egeria, who had been gifted position of hydro archon, didn't want him 'ruining anymore families'.
But he never gave up. He stuck at it, and worked his way up to the position of high priest by gaining the love of the church's victims. And Egeria, a true believer in their grace and lord fontaine, was forced to oblige. But deep down, she was seething. She hated him for divorcing her. She loathed him for moving in with her and Furina. And she resented him for making everyone believe he was a fellow worshipper.
How could she tell? Well, the better question would be: How could she not? She had been in a romantic relationship with him for nearly two decades. They were living together for almost eighteen of them, and married for sixteen of them. It was only natural she knew all of his tells. The only thing she didn't have against him was evidence to show to her beloved Zhongli. Her beloved Morax. Her beloved Rex Lapis.
So she started gathering it. Egeria made her own journal, and started documenting her own evidence. She used her position as Archon, and his position as High Priest to stalk him. And stalk him, and stalk him. She was determined in her faith in Their Grace, and even more determined in her love for Rex Lapis.
Because the moment she saw him, Egeria knew she had found her soulmate. A kind, loyal man, who wouldn't dare put his job before her like her ex-husband had. One who's only dedication was spreading the love his late spouse and children had given him. And she was determined to get that same love for herself- and her daughter. And every meeting, meal, and night spent with him convinced her that she was getting closer to that goal.
But sadly, Egeria never had the best memory, nor was she the best at multitasking. So when she took up the job of stalking her ex-husband, she started neglecting her beloved dragon. A fact that, while not immediately noticed, was still obvious fairly quickly. So, Morax and a small group of Adepti stopped by the Church of Fontaine. Morax, as he deserved, soaked up the attention and celebration, his very presence distracting everyone in the Church. Even the High Priests.
Leaving the Adepti free to roam about. Or rather, leaving them free to search the Church from top to bottom. The first place they looked was Egeria's private room, but she was paranoid of her ex-husband to keep her journal in a place so obvious. Then they searched the High Priest's private room, and similarly, he was paranoid of anybody to keep his journal in a place so vulnerable. And so, the pair kept their journals in separate locations.
The Adepti spent an entire day, night, and another day searching for the evidence of her betrayal, with absolutely no breaks inbetween. It wasn't until the sunset of the second day that they found one of the books- hidden in a box under a tree the High Priest visited with the church's children. But no one but the priest himself knew that.
The journal was mistaken to be Egeria's. And upon reading it, Rex Lapis believed that the woman's sudden lack of contact was because she planned on bringing it to the police. And despite all of the believers he had in the city's police force, he couldn't risk it. In a panic, he burned the book and lead Egeria out to a nearby river, where he drowned her for her crimes against him. Ironically, the location wasn't that far from where she had kept her own book hidden.
A place the high priest had soon searched when zhongli had announced it. Claiming that their grace, themself, had reappeared to personally take Egeria's soul to meet their family.
He cried for months after that.
'If only I had exposed the cult sooner!'
'If only I had kept the book better hidden!'
'If only I had never made the book!'
'If only I had never joined this accursed cult!'
'If only I had never divorced her!'
'If only I had told the truth about Zhongli!'
'If only I had never joined his horrible group!'
'If only I had never met Zhongli!'
'If only I had someone to save me from this turmoil!'
Soon, though, he met that someone.
He was introduced to them via his daughter, Furina, who had been appointed the new Hydro Archon for convincing an orphanage full of little girls to run away to the Church of Fontaine. This someone, of course, was none other than Their Grace, the kind and loving and just Creator of all. A being so righteous they came out of hiding to free his ex-wife from her unrecognized imprisonment. And in return, he would do all that he could to spread the justice the Creator was capable of.
And thankfully, his eccentric daughter was more than accepting of this fact.
Together, the pair made new virtues and sins to benefit this new belief. His daughter might of went a tad overboard, but as her subordinate, he'd have to make do. Thankfully, the majority of the people were surprisingly accepting of the sudden change. More accepting than the Temple of Sumeru's change in Archon, at the very least. Or, uh, more accepting of Lord Sumeru's rebirth. That's what he meant...
Nowadays, The High Priest spends his time reading about the sins committed by members of the Church, and judging them for their actions. Making sure to give everyone a fair punishment, just like his Savior. Sadly, he does not have that much time to spend with the children, but he makes up for it by letting them style his hair and choose his outfit in the mornings. And by remembering the face, name, and birthday of each one.
He currently works as a Judge at the Opera Courthouse, choosing punishments for abusers, assaulters, and murderers. And, despite his vow to help his fellow cultists, he cannot stop himself from punishing them harder. For those who have had their eyes opened to the truth of the universe, should know not to commit such horrible acts. And he is not afraid to state this fact to anybody within the cult, whether they be from other Churches or Temples, or even morax himself.
Due to his position, he never had to leave the Church of Fontaine. Something he was quite happy to hear, as it gives him more time to make up for every prayer he missed or faked. And it gives him more time to prepare proper, well-thought-out sacrifices for Their Grace. His Grace. Who, unfortunately, is wed-bound to the reaper known as zhongli-- er, morax.
'The Creator is getting stronger...' He recognizes. 'Surely, it is only a matter of time until they reincarnate and save everyone from that monster.'
'And I will be the first to help them when it happens.'
Here's the Series Masterlist!

I love how stanikins bend over backwards to attempt to make Obi-Wan and the Jedi look callous and uncaring when all evidence points otherwise.
Obi-Wan is too harsh on him after he endangers his men and Ashoka to save a droid with confidential information on it which he didn’t wipe purposefully, oh no!!! He’s abusive!!!
Obi-Wan putting the good of the Galaxy above the ones he love because it’s his duty and philosophy to put the good of the collective above the good of the few he loves. Oh no!!!! He’s heartless!!! He should’ve let Anakin jump off the moving vehicle to save padme because muh love story!!!! He should’ve known that Anakin’s dreams about his mother dying was a vision and not a dream!!! Definitely not like Anakin told him it was a vision, “just a dream” verbatim from Anakin himself!!! Like if we take legends into consideration then Obi-Wan, someone who is strong in the Unifying force, would definitely have done shit if Anakin told him outright it was a vision but how was he supposed to know when Anakin himself 1) never had a vision before this and 2) never told his master what occurred in said vision?
Obi-Wan would’ve made Anakin fess up to the Tusken massacre if Anakin told him!!! He should’ve been a safe space for Anakin and been accepting like Padme and covered this horrendous miscarriage of justice out of love!!! He didn’t provide a safe space for a mass murderer therefore he deserves blame for it!!!!
The council didn’t want to admit a very clearly traumatized slave child who’s recently been freed because he would not be able to fully commit to their philosophy of non-attachment due to his experience and asking him to change how he viewed the world so shortly after being separated from his one support in life would be cruel so they denied him, therefore he was right to hate them!!! Especially Mace Windu because, checks notes, he was mean (???) to him (???) in the first act of the phantom menace???? Like have y’all not watched TCW and how Mace interacted with him????
Stanikins literally have every excuse under the sun to justify his every atrocity without giving him any agency in his own choice. His story is a tragedy!!! Let it be a tragedy!!! He was a slave boy with godly powers and traumatized beyond imagination! He could’ve been great if the circumstances were different, if one thing changed he would’ve been the greatest Jedi there were, but because he is literally doomed by the narrative, we cannot see him be the person he could be. He has great capacity for kindness of selflessness but because of his experience fear wins out and he desperately holds onto all the affection and love he could because his time as a slave taught him to do so. It’s a disservice to take away his agency, to make all his bad and disastrous decisions the fault of someone else, is to make him one dimensional. Let him be the villain he is and mourn the child he was and the person he could’ve been if he wasn’t doomed by the narrative before the prequels even came out. Let him be tragic. Let his decisions be tragic and doomed and unavoidable. Let him be sucked into villainy the moment he decided that his revenge is worth more than the lives of those that did not participate in the murder and torture of his mother. Let him be utterly unredeemable because of his actions. Let him doomed by his own actions as well as the narrative. Let him be himself instead of woobifying him into a victim of everyone else’s actions but his own.
He choose to massacre the Tuskens. He choose to massacre the Jedi. He choose to hunt any remaining Jedi left in the Galaxy for 20 years. He choose to put the life of his wife above the people who raised him and took him into their culture. He choose to do that himself. And it is tragic. It is sad. But it is no one’s fault but his own. His formative years shaped him into one who jealously hordes all forms of affection form those he loved most as a trauma response. He understands Jedi teachings (literally a whole arc in TCW where he teaches Ashoka what it means to be a Padawan and Jedi) he just doesn’t internalize it because of his trauma. He takes no one’s council but his own (showcased when he went to Yoda to ask for a method of cheating death and Yoda’s advice was sound if he were talking to any other Jedi other than Anakin).
Star Wars may be a a story of hope but it is also a tragedy. It’s about a boy how could’ve been great, it’s about a boy who was so full of hope and dooming himself because he’s too afraid and refuses to let the fear go so it turns into anger and hate. Taking away Anakins agency and blaming his actions on other people takes away the tragedy that is having someone great fall. A boy who was bad cannot fall and be doomed. It’s only those that have the potential to be great that falls the hardest and by taking away his own culpability in bringing in a genocidal empire (one he wished to rule no less) takes away the inherent tragedy of seeing someone so bright fall so low.

The Trouble with Robson…
Tumblr media
So… I’ve seen some discourse on this site about James Robson… and I want in lol.
I’ve got a lot of thoughts about this man, and based on everything I’ve read from other Oz fans, I might have an unpopular opinion.
Please don’t get me wrong! Season 2-Season 5 he was a tremendous piece of shit. Like in every way possible it is to be a piece of shit. But that said I have two points: 1) that’s what makes him an good CHARACTER, not a good person, and 2) a redemption arc doesn’t mean that person is automatically forgiven, but are going down a better path and MIGHT be forgiven for their actions at a later date. It is with this, your honor, that I submit that Robson’s redemption arc was actually one of the better plot lines in Oz. (Please don’t hate me lol)
Okay, so Robson season two, pretty easy to characterize. He’s a Nazi. He’s violent. He’s a rapist. Very easy to hate. Season three, he’s lieutenant to Vern Schillinger in the Aryan Brotherhood. He boxes and such. In season four, he’s a menace, coming into his own character. He threatens on his own and has his own plot lines now. Season five is more of the same, at first, he rapes Peter Schibetta, he tries to ruin Beecher’s life, etc. He commits one of the more heinous of his crimes in my book when he kills the young Muslim man in the store room. A long, drawn out process that James is smiling through. He LOVES violence. More than anything he seems like he was made for prison. Then he learns about his gums, makes racist remarks to the doctor, one thing leads to another, he has black man gums and gets kicked out of the brotherhood.
He’s destitute and alone, which is all he deserves. But even Kareem Said finds pity for him and says “God is trying to teach you something. Please be smart enough to learn.”. What can even God attempt to teach someone like James Robson? He does what he needs to survive. He joins Cutler and agrees to be his prag. Here’s where some views from other Oz fans and I start to diverge. You look at videos on YouTube, many of the comments you’ll find say “good, he deserved it.”. The best argument I heard for this was actually from Funky Frog Bait on YouTube talking about misgendering murderers. Many people misgendered the nonbinary Nashville shooter. Why would you respect the pronouns for a person that horrible? Because, as Funky Frog Bait said in their video, it revolves around your opinion of gender as a whole. If you can just revoke someone’s preferred pronouns when they’re bad people, how “bad” does a trans person have to be to not have their pronouns respected? People of differing “politics” (morals) say different things, but if we apply this argument to Robson’s situation, I think it has to do with one’s overall view of rape. How “bad” does someone have to be before being raped is considered a reasonable punishment? For me, it’s never. For me, just as in never revoking someone’s right to their preferred pronouns, I also think it’s never justifiable to rape someone. So, no, I don’t think Robson deserved to be raped, even though he was a serial rapist himself, because there’s no situation where I think rape is a justifiable response. People may disagree with me, but I think it’s a slippery slope when you can deem someone as deserving of rape.
We learn during this time, as he’s being beaten and abused sexually by Cutler, that James was beaten and abused by his father as a kid. He confirms that this occurred while he was only five years old. His first introduction to life and sex was violence. Maybe this gives you sympathy for him, as it did me, but maybe you say fuck him, it doesn’t excuse anything. But I don’t think that it was meant to be an excuse, I think it was meant to be an EXPLANATION. I think we were learning how he became James Robson of unit B, not justifying his actions as James Robson of unit B. He was a child and the person he was supposed to trust most in this world gave him very harsh lessons very early on: no one cares about you, and do what you need to do to survive. He becomes demure and pitiful in Sister Pete’s office. One line that stuck with me was “here I am, 35 years old and I have nowhere to run.”. He’s been running his whole life. Running away from an abusive father and running away from his own actions. “I shame to think of what I’ve done. Look on it again, I dare not.” Is Cutler’s line as MacBeth in the play. It is an apt line for James. He’s been running from his own actions for as long as he could remember. Like I said, none of this justifies the lives he’s ruined and taken, but it does explain the inter-workings of a character that was pretty static for four seasons. That he survives. He tells Sister Peter Marie that all he does is run from things. I truly believe that some of the reason he was able to be as ruthless as he was is because he doesn’t let himself think about his own actions.
Finally season 6! He kills Cutler with some kinky play, joins the brotherhood, and it seems like he’s back, right? Only when he sees his wife, we see some of the shame come back. Some of the embarrassment of being taken in that way. If he feels this way now, he felt this way for however long his dad was abusing him. He loses it with her for calling him a “cock sucker”, which CLEARLY he’s embarrassed/ashamed about. He hurts her, and immediately, instantly, feels bad about it. I love learning the morality of immoral characters. With everything he’s done, why was hurting his wife crossing a line? Because she trusts him, just like little James trusted his dad. I think, personally, that he sees himself as her personal protector. Since he couldn’t protect himself, he became the protector for her, and then for Vern, but James isn’t stupid enough to think Vern can’t take care of himself. I think hurting his wife tore him up so much because he remembers when he relied on his dad for everything, and his father took advantage of his state.
Then he finds out he has AIDS. He joins a support group for rape survivors. They talk about their experiences and James listens to all of them. He thanks them towards the end, saying it was good to “hear it from both sides” which we know is something he knew already since he was at least five. But hearing those stories, all of which are upsetting but some are straight gruesome, puts FORCES him to face his actions. He can’t run anymore, his lifestyle caught up with him. Am I saying he deserves AIDS? 🤷‍♀️ Chissà. Who’s to say? He has it though. There’s a deleted scene where he lets Clarence rape him (I understand “lets” and “rape” don’t make much sense together but I don’t think coerced consent is consent at all so it’s still assault), and it gives Clarence AIDS. Robson says something interesting, with his classic smile on his face. “Retribution. It’s all about retribution.”. That’s what Oz is about. Retribution. It should be about Rehabilitation, but it’s all about Retribution. This is where James’ story ends on the show. With him moving to unit F, the AIDS unit. Finally, even if only physically, is he forced to face his actions.
This is why I think his story was beautifully written. He’s just a meathead in the beginning, but we learn about his morality -because he does have a code, even if it’s not a good one-, his past, and his future. They took a character that was frankly very flat and gave us a wide enough view on his life and character to confuse our anger into sympathy into more anger and into sadness. I don’t know if anyone else felt this way but my heart just dropped when he mentioned his dad. James Robson never stood a chance. He was a monster in training since he was five. But no one deserves to be raped. (A good reference is Adam Gunzel who was a BIG prick… but never deserved that shit.) Anyway these are just some of my thoughts on one of the most interesting characters in Oz (to me at least) and gave us an actual character out of a plotless muscle man.
One thing I think we can all agree on:
Retribution. It’s all about retribution.

Bitterly Beautiful, Part 2
Chapter 2: There is no “Eye” in Team.
Tumblr media
"How could you miss a dead body?"
Wednesday, the Sherrif and Principal Weems walk though the school to her office.
"'Cause it wasn't there. No footprints, no blood, no sign of a struggle. Nothing, nada. My search party looked all night." The Sheriff kept his composure, as annoyed and upset he is.
"Well, your search party must have left their seeing-eye dogs at home. I saw that monster kill Rowan right in front of me." Wednesday claims.
"Get a good look at this monster thing?"
"It didn't stick around for a chat."
"Maybe it was one of your classmates." The Sherrif said accusingly, which Principal Weems interfered in.
"Sheriff, I find that question offensive."
"I don't care, 'cause I got three other dead bodies in the morgue. Hikers just ripped apart in the woods."
"The mayor said those were bear attacks." Weems furrows her brow at the Sheriff who is unfazed by her upset nature.
"Well, the mayor and I disagree on that."
"So you automatically assume a Nevermore student is the murderer, even though there's no evidence a crime was even committed."
"I'm sorry. I forgot, you only teach the good outcasts here, right?" The Sheriff scowls at Weems, they enter her office finally and The Sherrif sits across from Weems and her desk, which she promptly sits at as well.
"My guess is Rowan ran away. State troopers have put out an alert, and I've contacted his family, but they haven't heard from him either." Weems explains.
"Dead people are notoriously bad at returning calls." Wednesday's prompt but cold demeanor stood firm in her belief.
"What were you doing out in the woods with him, Ms. Addams?" The Sheriff asked, "I heard a noise in the forest and went to go investigate. That's when I stumbled upon the attack."
"Then what happened?"
"Then I ran into Bianca Barclay, and I told her to go for help. Next thing I remember, I was awaking in my dorm."
"And just to be clear, this monster wasn't a bear or some other wild animal?"
"I've hibernated with grizzlies. I know the difference." Wednesda replies, and Weems gets noticeably, uncouth as she tries to lee up appearances.
"Thank you, Sheriff. I think Miss Addams is done now—"
"Actually, I would like to speak to Sheriff Galpin. Alone." Wednesday said, and there was an unnerving aura around it.
"I'm not sure I can allow that." Weems begins but the Sheriff, catching onto what Wednesday is doing, adds in.
"I'm sure I could take her to the station and get a formal statement. Yeah, let's go." He begins but weems quickly stops.
"Fine. You have five minutes, and everything is off the record. Play nice... or I will call the mayor" Weems leaves them to their lonesome to discuss.
"Someone is trying to cover up Rowan's murder. That's the only reason to scrub the crime scene."
"Is that your professional opinion as the daughter of a murderer?"
"My father's twice the man you are, and the only thing he murders is the occasional opera in the shower."
"It's been a long night. I'm tired of your games. I'm not playing games."
"I'm telling the truth. You want to reject my claims but you can't. Why is that? Because you and I both know there's a monster out there. And Rowan is his latest victim." Wednesday said, her cold dark eyes staring into the eyes of the Sheriff. Suddenly, the deputy of the Sherrif steps into the office, a heavyset woman with a chocolate dark skin tone.
"Sheriff?"
"What?"
"You're gonna want to see this." she says; and seemingly from the land of the Dead, Rowan appeared. Leaving even Wednesday herself puzzled and confused.
"Edgar Allan Poe said, "Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see." Clearly Nevermore's most famous alumni picked that up here. No wonder he became a drսg madman."
"Help me understand why you claim you witnessed a murder. Was it to gain attention?"
Kinbott, Wednesdays scheduled therapist sits across from the child of the Addams, a bit perplexed by her oddity.
"Why should I bother telling you anything? You've already decided I'm lying. I know what I saw."
"Your life's had a lot of upheaval recently. It's okay to be confused about things."
"Don't try and lure me into one of your psychological traps."
"No one is trying to trap you. I'm here to help you process your emotions. Emotions are a gateway trait. They lead to feelings, which trigger tears." Kimbott attempts to try to slightly pry open the iron vice of Wednesday's feelings, but they were rusted; snapped shut and cold.
"I don't do tears."
"Tell me how you're adjusting to school."
"Sartre said, "Hell is other people." He was my first crush."
"Wednesday, Part of the reason your parents sent you to Nevermore is so you could find your people. Become part of a larger community."
"I like being an island. A well-fortified one surrounded by sharks."
"Have you considered your antisocial tendencies might be motivated by fear of rejection?" She asks.
"If you were to reject me, I would not be upset." Wednesday said. And Kinbott thought for a moment.
"Ah, so there's no one at the school you'd hate to be rejected by?" She asks, and just for a moment there was a hint of hesitation by Wednesday.
"None at all." She replies, deadpanned.
"Well...You can't get rid of me that easily. And look, you made it through an entire session without trying to escape. I'll take that as a win." Kinbott replies, and Wednesday notices that she has been here her entire session, she leaves after her realization and heads back to Nevermore, She returns back to to see her "Friend." Enid and classmates working on board.
"Ladies, come on! Let's work on those teeth. More scowl. This kitty is taking no prisoners. If Bianca Barclay wins again this year, I will literally scratch my own eyes out!"
"I would pay money to see that." Wednesday said, Enid turns around all cheerful and ready to hug.
"Howdy, roomie! I'm so glad you decided to stay."
"I thought you wanted your single room back.”
“Full disclose, I hate going solo, and thing gives a killer neck massage, so I say it’s a win win, why did you stay?” Enid said, and Wednesday calmly looks off to the distance.
"I refuse to play the role of a pawn in someone else's corrupt game."
"You mean Rowan?"
"I witnessed his murder, Enid." Wednesday claims.
"It's just, we all saw him this morning. Very much, like, not dead."
"I know. Which leads me to believe I've been losing my mind. It's not nearly as fun as I had anticipated. You're Nevermore's gossip queen. What's Rowan's story?" Wednesday asks, and Enid thinks.
"Other than being a weird loner... Uh... No offense. None taken. Xavier Thorpe's his roommate, but due to "Safety Concerns", (Y/n) had to move in, If you had a cell phone, you could just text him and ask him. Yoko. Come on! Flare those whiskers! The Poe Cup droops for no one."
"What is the Poe Cup anyway?"
"My entire reason for living right now. Part canoe race, part foot chase, no rules. Each dorm has to pick an Edgar Allan Poe short story for inspiration. You could grab a brush. Ms. Thornhill's just ordered pizza. Want to take a stab at being social?" Enid asks, trying to invite Wednesday over.
"..I do like stabbing. The social part, not so much. Besides, it'll cut into my writing time."
“No worries. Just as long as you're lakeside cheering us to victory on race day…Or you can just glare uncomfortably. Whatever works for you.” Enid said trying to as supportive as usual, Wednesday takes this free time to head to Principal Weems, ready for another interrogation.
"I need to speak with Rowan. I can't find him."
"It won't be possible, I'm afraid. He's been expelled."
"For what?"
"Never you mind. He'll be on the first train out this afternoon. What were you doing out in the woods with him?"
"I told you already. I heard a noise, and I went to investigate." Wednesday said feigning innocence.
"That excuse might have placated the sheriff, but you can't fool me. You had a psychic vision, didn't you? I realized you might be having them when we passed by the accident and you knew that poor farmer had broken his neck. Your mother started having visions around your age. They were notoriously unreliable and dangerous. I remember at first, she thought she might be losing her mind. Have you spoken to her about them? Clearly the person withholding information here is you." Weems said, putting Miss Addams in a verbal checkmate.
"May I go now?"
"Not until you've picked your extracurricular activity. We want our students to be well-rounded."
"I'd prefer to remain sharp-edged." Wednesday stabs back.
"I took the liberty of putting together a list of clubs that have openings." Weems shows a list of classes, one specifically "Archery - (Y/n) Healy"
"How thoughtful." Wednesday replies.
"You need to have picked one by the end of the day. I'll be keeping my eye on you. No doubt you'll find something that tickles your fancy."
"The last person who tickled me lost a finger." Wednesday kept her scowl and left. Her first destination was Chior lead by the Queen Bee, and she hears them harmonizing. They stop at the arrival of Wednesday.
"Weems said you'd be stopping by. But to be honest, after your performance at the Harvest Festival, drama club might be more your speed." Bianca said, smirking so coyly,
"After I passed out, who did you tell? The sheriff?"
"You think I'd trust normie cops? I went straight to Weems and let her handle it. Anyway, let's get this audition over with. What are you? Alto, soprano or just loco?" she asks obviously as a dig, a few laugh and Wednesday opens her mouth. There was oddly no sound. Well no sound a human could hear, but ones glasses cracked.
"What was that?" Bianca asked,
"A note only dogs can hear." she replies, and Walks off, leaving them a bit perplexed.
Wednesday's next and most important Task was Archery, she approached the Range as (Y/n) stood there, with a basket of apples which were signed and picked by Enid, he drew the Bow and notched an arrow from his Quiver and aimed. As if he was waiting for something. Let's the arrow loose and it hits nearly dead on. He turns to face Wednesday, hearing her approach.
"If it isn't Wednesday Addams, so you're joining the League of Handsome and or Beautiful rouges? I shall be your teacher." He says, and she looks around.
"You're the only one?" She asks.
"Unfortunately Yes, The Team disbanded before you arrived, Me, Xavier, Jenna, Emma, and Hunter." He said, he aims another arrow.
"I'm curious, What made your Band of Merry Outcasts fall apart? Xavier?" She asks and he lets another arrow loose, abruptly and misses. For a moment she sees a scowl and he quickly masks his emotions with a fake smile.
"Ever shot a bow and arrow before?" Hd asks, "Only on live targets." She replies and he scoffs. He begins his instruction.
"From you? I can believe it, alright first things first, wide stance for your legs, good balance stance." He says, he notches the arrow to the string. "notch the Arrow, take aim, don't shoot immediately, calm yourself." He says, "But in my case..." he whistled loudly, and he lets loose another arrow hitting inches away from the bullseye. Fairly proud of himself, he turns to her direction.
"Any questions?" He asks, "I know the blind part is confusing—"
"When's the last time you saw your Rowan?"
(Y/n) frowns a bit hearing that.
"Well I wouldn’t say “Saw”, You mean the one that was "killed" by a monster?" He said sarcastically.
"You were there."
"Yeah, and I talked to Rowan this morning... either i sensed a body that was similar, or he's a Zombie, and since he isn't smelling like rotting flesh, I'm gonna say we just got it wrong." (Y/n) says, he thinks for a moment.
"But..He did seem.. off."
"Off How?" Wednesday asked.
"Rowan was a bit of a loner but he and I got along as, Well as well as most students. We said hello to each other at least but this time he was just, much more nervous that before to even speak to me." He said, he shakes his head... “So, my turn..So what's the deal with you and Tyler?" He asks, Wednesdays attitude shifts from the question as (Y/n) now pesters her.
"I answered your questions, only fair you answer mine." He says.
"He was doing me a favor driving me out of town." Wednesday replied a bit defensive.
"I have advice for you, Steer clear of Tyler." He said.
"Why? Because he's a normie?"
"That, and his Dad seemingly has the biggest hate boner for your family,." (Y/n) says, he reaches to a small basket to eat an apple. Wednesday takes it and the bow and arrow, she tosses the apple, aims and fires, hitting the apple and a bullseye. (Y/n) was a bit flabbergasted, he could feel it land dead on.
"That is... impressive."
"I'm not here to impress." She says and begins to walk off, (Y/n) walks after her, as he quickly grabs his cane.
"Wednesday.. Wednesday!" He says and she stops for a moment.
"I'm busy, I have to go to deal with the trials of Hell Weems is putting me though." She begins to walk again and he stops.
"Well. That's unfortunate since I have a good way to keep you under the radar." He says and she stops walking, "A Way to keep Weems off your hide and gives you time to, do whatever you plan to do." He says, she turns around and walks over to him so calmly, she steps a foot away, while (Y/n) couldn't see, his senses were heightened so well, almost like a sonar the sound waves bounce and dance around him like waves crashing, forming almost perfect shapes and forms; He has never been this close to Wednesday to allow him to get such a detailed idea of her, and for a moment he was taken aback by just how beautiful she is. Her face was in a permanent form of unamused glare. And she couldn’t be any more drop dead beautiful.
".. Stunning." He said, just Gazing at her face. "What Plan do you have?" She asks snapping him out of it, he catches himself before acting more suave.
"Of course, well you see most Clubs are in the schools grounds, but there's one that's into the greenery. A perfect place to hide out." He said, which slowly begins to build the interest of Wednesday.
"...Show Me."
(Y/n) and Wednesday walk though a small forest to a beautiful clearing, and noticing a flat there. It was a small white building with not much accommodation. (Y/n) leans over to slightly whisper to Wednesday.
"Word of Advice Miss Addams, Eugene is a bit.. unique, even for Nevermore standards." He said, Wednesday turns her head to him. "Just try not to Gut him or anything." He says asking.
"I will make no such promises."
"I guess that's the best I'll get." He said and taps on the door. He steps back and it opens to a short, slightly pudgy boy with a pair of glasses.
"(Y/n)!” He says with whimsical cheer.
“It’s good to see you too, there’s someone I’d like you to meet. Wednesday. Wednesday Addams.” He says introducing the two. “Am I late or is it only you?” She asks and Eugene sadly nods.
"The hive life isn't for everyone." Eugene said and a sly (Y/n) smiles.
"Told you, it's perfect for you." (Y/n) said to Wednesday.
"Most kids are afraid of venomous insects. Are you willing to feel the sting?" Eugene asked, and a very small smile creeps along the face of Wednesday, even (Y/n) was a tiny bit worried for the Health of Nevermore if Wednesday could get an army of bees.
"You'll have to change into a Beekeeper uniform, there's plenty to choose from!" He says, Wednesday, now a bit annoyed since she can't allow them to touch her skin, heads inside to change.
"Well I suppose my work here is done. Eugene, make sure you keep an eye out for her." He says, and Eugene salutes.
"Hey, anything for a fellow friend!" He says and (Y/n) kindly bows and leaves, Planning what's next in his mind, Wednesdays exits the Room now in her own, off putting Bee Keeper costume.
"Bees have been producing honey in the same way for 150 million years. They're nature's perfect community. All working together to achieve a common goal. Fun fact, it's also one of the few ecosystems in which females dominate. From the queen bee to her workers. There's no patriarchy in the hive!" he says explaining to her, but Wednesday is, less than enthusiastic about the honey and more about the Stinging. (Y/n) walks off and a crow lands on his shoulder.
"Any word about the Sheriff?" He asks and it makes a few caws and pecks its side to scratch an itch.
"Hmm... I See. Thank you, you may go now." He says and the bird flies off, he trudged off into the woods as well, walking so cautiously, until footsteps catch him. He jerks his head left to sense the pattering of paws, hound paws, he kneels down quickly and puts his hand on the tree he's hiding behind. Small, tiny vibrations in the earth from their footsteps, they give small indications of their location and possibly who they are.
"There you are, Sheriff." He says and slowly begins to follow, he keeps a fair distance to avoid any scent being picked up by the hound. His solemn footsteps crunch twigs and leaves, but are much lighter in sound. Creeping closer; he stops and feels another tree, using its roots to enhance his hearing. He picks up the same footsteps, but another one, lighter on their feet. Not as Heavy. And he suspects his new "friend." Sneaking around he picks up on movement, and heads that way, it was Wednesday. Seems she was also following the Sheriff but was creeping too close, before the hound could pick up, Wednesday is snatched behind a tree, she tenses up, a hand covering her mouth and slightly around her stomach. As the Sheriff passes, they let her go, she quickly gets away and turns around to (Y/n).
"I didn't want the Dog to pick up on your scent. If he finds us here, well it won't be good." He says.
"Thanks." Wednesday said, as much as she detests being grabbed and held, she detested (Y/n) doing it, a bit less. "How'd you throw them off?"
"Crow feathers, rubbing them on me... don't look at me like that. It works okay?" He says a bit annoyed.
"I assume he didn't bring the bloodhound to play fetch." Wednesday said.
"No, I assume he's checking the leads as well... But I want to ask you. And be honest, what happened At the festival?" (Y/n) asked, looking obviously concerned.
"I thought Rowan was in danger. Turns out I was wrong. Then he proceeded to use his telekinesis to try and choke me to death. That's when this monster came out of the shadows and gutted him." Wednesday explains, much to (Y/n)'a shock.
"Rowan? Tried to Kill you? It wasn't the monster that tried to kill you?"
"It actually saved me from Rowan. That's the part I'm trying to figure out. I came here to find something that can prove he was murdered and that I haven't lost my mind. Yet." Wednesday said, (Y/n) looks more serious now.
"Rowans never used this powers on others as far as I know, what would drive him to go after you of all people?" He asks, thinking. Wednesday peers past him and into the ground and looks at something. (Y/n) walks over and kneels down to see Wednesday picking something up.
"Those are Rowan's glasses." (Y/n) says, Suddenly, Wednesday's head jerks up, stiffening like a corpse. She was stunned, not moving. He looks over, growing much more concerned.
"Wednesday? Wednesday?!" He yells, he grabs her, checking her for some wounds or cuts. She snaps out of it, and looks at him, she sees the concern in his face.
"You okay?" He said, shaking her. Wednesday snaps out of it, she looks a bit out of it before realizing that, she's being held, she sees (Y/n), worried about her and her off spasm. She quickly puts her walls back up and glares at him.
"Let. Go. Of. Me." She said with the most scathing whisper, and he does.
"I was just making sure you were okay." He said, and Wednesday and (Y/n) stand up.
"There's some place I want to go to." She said, and Wednesday and (Y/n) continue their investigation inside the library. Thing is searching the bookshelf for Wednesday as (Y/n)
"The cover was darker. More like a day-old contusion. Keep looking." Wednesday said, (Y/n) walked up next to her.
"So, what is it that you're looking for specifically?" He said.
"A book Rowan had, it has some importance and I just need to figure out what." She explains, (Y/n) folds his arms.
"Rowan, and books? A match made In heaven, he was a book worm. It might have still been in his room with Xander we can—" he begins but they hear footsteps, the two quickly get Thing out of the way and (Y/n) and Wednesday were just standing there. Thornhill looks at the Blooming Dark flowers and smiles.
"I don't usually find students in here looking for actual books. Most sneak in to make out." She says, (Y/n) and Wednesday take a step further apart.
"That is not what's going on." He said.
"I'd rather take a nap in a swamp of famished alligators." She says, he looks at her.
"Okay that was Just mean." He said.
"I accidentally walked in on two vampires fanging. I can't unsee that." Wednesday claimed.
"That just sounds like Jealousy." (Y/n) replies, Wednesday turns her head menacingly towards him, a tiny smirk creeps along his face.
"Is there something I can help you two find?" Thornhill asks the Teenagers. Wednesday approaches with a ripped out page, "Have you seen this before?" She says showing her. "It's a watermark from a book I'm looking for."
"I think it's the symbol to an old student society. Um... The Nightshades."
"Like the deadly flower." Wednesday says, "Color me intrigued." (Y/n) approaches, and thinks.
"I was told they disbanded years ago." Thornhill said, which (Y/n) pesters her for information.
"Any idea why?" (Y/n) asks piping up.
"Sorry. I was very impressed with your answers in class today."
"My mother is a carnivorous plant aficionado. I assume I get my red thumb from her."
"Are you and your mother close?" Thornhill asks. There's a hint of hesitation within her voice.
"Like two inmates sentenced to life on the same cell block."
"I know it can't be easy... showing up mid-semester. I've been here a year and a half, and I still feel like an outsider."
"Because you're the only normie on the staff? (Y/n) told me." She says. "Not all normies are bad, You're pretty Great Mrs Thornhill." He Said trying to cheer her up, she just gives a smile in return.
"To tell you the truth, I've never really fit in anywhere. Too odd for the normies, not odd enough for the outcasts. I thought Nevermore would be different, but there's still a handful of teachers who will barely acknowledge me." She says,
"I act as if I don't care if people dislike me. Deep down... I secretly enjoy it." Wednesday said, and Thornhill laughed, she, actually laughed at that.
"Never lose that, Wednesday."
"Lose what?" The ability to not let others define you. It's a gift. The most interesting plants grow in the shade. And if you ever need anyone to talk to, the door to the conservatory is always open. That goes to you too Mister Healy." She says before leaving.
".. you know, she kinda reminds me of you." He says, watching Thornhill leave.
Night creeps along the horizon of the Earth and Nevermore is put into another darkness, (Y/n) was sitting in his new dorm room, cleaning his cane using black wood polish at his desk, the door opens to Xavier.
"Yo." He says, and (Y/n) looks up, hearing his voice.
"Sup Xavier."
"Taking a shower, Uh..let me know if you need anything." He says.
"Thanks." (Y/n) replies sharply before Xavier enters the shower, (Y/n) waits to hear it running before he walks over to the closet and knocks on it in a sophisticated series of taps. He steps back and Wednesday exits it with thing in tow.
"Well, that's not weird, anyway he should be busy I might have fiddled with the handles, let's get looking." He said.
"That purple book has got to be around here somewhere. Start investigating." She says to thing and the two begin to search, (Y/n) checking the walls and drawers for anything, Wednesday for the things that require a, "Cautious eye." She turns the lights off, which doesn't hinder (Y/n)'s search, using a Blacklight, she checks the floorboards and opens one up, (Y/n) turns to the sound and lifts the bed for her, she looks up at him and he smiles. She pries open the floor board and picks something up. It wasn't a book but, a mask.
"Huh... isn't that odd." He says; they hear the water stop and Xavier exits the shower, he looks over to (Y/n) standing there with his arms crossed. Wednesday is behind him, trying to stand as still as possible.
"You okay?" Xavier asks, and (Y/n) nods.
"Yeah, just... hanging out." He said, before Xavier can ask, there is a knock at the door.
"You want to get that?" (Y/n) asks, Xavier shrugs and heads to the door, (Y/n) turns and motions Wednesday who quickly hides under his Bed, the door opens to Bianca. (Y/n) smirks, sending the body figure and the siren like humming from her.
"Oh, I didnt know we could have "Friends" over." He said smirking, much to the annoyance of the two.
"Don't worry Queen Bee, I'll let you two go at it." He says and leaves, he exits to give them some space.
"You're not supposed to be up here." Xavier said.
"Good to see you too." Bianca said obviously a bit offended.
"How'd you get past the Housemaster? Use your siren powers?"
"Not while wearing this." Bianca shows the charm necklace. "Would it kill you to not think the worst of me for once?"
"What do you want, Bianca?"
"To see how you're doing. I'm sorry about Rowan. I know you guys used to be close."
"Since when did you give a damn about Rowan?"
"You were the one afraid he'd do something to Wednesday. Isn't that why you've been following her like an eager-eyed puppy? Or is there something more? Seriously, what do you see in her? You have a thing for a tragic goth girls with funeral-parlor fashion sense?"
"Maybe it's because she hasn't tried to manipulate me."
"I make one mistake, and you can't forgive me. She treats you like crap, you can't get enough. Why are you fixated on Wednesday? Because she thinks she's better than everyone else. I can't wait to crush Ophelia Hall tomorrow and watch her werewolf roommate crumble. It's gonna be a Poe Cup finale to remember."
"I hate to think what you've got planned."
"My game's already started. I like to win. Is that so wrong?"
"And you wonder why I broke up with you."
"You used to love my killer instinct. We were good together, Xavier." She said, reminiscing.
"Were we? Is that just how you wanted me to feel?" Xavier's tone was full of distrust, and anger.
"Trust me, Wednesday Addams is not the girl of your dreams. She's the stuff of your nightmares." Bianca says, and Leaves.
(Y/n) waits outside, Bianca leaves and minutes pass and Wednesday exits as well.
"Found what you need?" He asks, and Wednesday looks over him up and down.
"Yes. Follow me." She said, and like a loyal dog, he follows. They creep into her dorm room to Enid, crying on the bed. (Y/n)'s attitude immediately softens.
"Enid, Enid what's wrong?" He asks, she turns to notice the two entering through the window together.
"I'm literally having a heart attack right now. Yoko's in the infirmary!" She said Panicked though tears and (Y/n) comforts her with a hug.
“Shhh Shhh, What happened?”
"Garlic bread incident at dinner. She had a major allergic reaction. She's out of the Poe Cup. I don't have a co-pilot." She said sadly; and (Y/n) gives her a pat on the head to comfort her.
"It's gonna be okay." He said, she tightened her grip around him and her claws began to come out, stabbing him in the side.
"Ow. ow, Enid, ENID!" He says and she quickly lets go, wiping her tears.
"Sorry! Sorry.." She Said sadly. He waves it off.
"It's okay."
"It wasn't an accident. Bianca's behind it." Wednesday said, which catches the interest of (Y/n) and Enid.
"How do you know?" Enid asks.
"Doesn't matter. We are going to take her down tomorrow."
"Wait. You're joining the Black Cats? You're willing to do that? For me?" Enid said, and Wednesday looks at (Y/n), he motions her to be nice and Wednesday replies coldly.
"I want to humiliate Bianca so badly that the bitter taste of defeat burns in her throat."
"Yeah, but mostly you're doing it because we're friends, right?" Enid asks, and (Y/n) puts his hand on Enid shoulder.
"Yes, because we're friends, and I'm going to make sure Bianca will never mess with Enid Sinclair or anyone like this again." He says, his dark aura radiating.
"Tell me how she keeps winning." Wednesday said.
"It's a real brain cramp. The past two years, no other boat has made it across and back without sinking."
"Sounds like sabotage." Wednesday said, "There are no rules in the Poe Cup, and she is a siren, which makes her master of the water." Enid admits, and (Y/n) snaps his fingers, a crow comes flying from the open window and lands on his arm.
“I’ve learned a few Hexes and curses from my family, and I know just the one.” He says, “The answer is simple, we just need to beat her at her own game." (Y/n) said. His smile grows more and more like a Cheshire Cat. The Next day, Wednesday walks past Bianca to (Y/n) and Enid awaiting.
"We're all set." Enid says.
"Good. Thing's in position." Wednesday Leers at Bianca.
"Wanna tell me what you two were up to?" Enid says to (Y/n) and Wednesday.
"And spoil the surprise?" (Y/n) smirks, he turned towards them.
"Trust me, a few modifications to the boat and a few crows watching, we have everything.
"Speaking of surprises, your costume's in the tent." Enid said to Wednesday, which confuses her.
"Costume?"
Wednesday exits the tent in the cat costume, black and, tight fitting with even the ears to compliment. Enid comes up behind her as Wednesday is absolutely fuming at this.
"OMG, you look purr-fect! Only thing, where are your whiskers?" Enid asks in her own costume
"Ask again, and you'll be down to eight lives." Wednesdays scowled back, (Y/n) approached.
"Alright, I've got everything ready, where's Wednesday?" He asks.
"She's right here." Enid said, (Y/n) turned his focus to the figure next to her, looked a bit perplexed, he's never seen her wearing anything besides dressed and he's never got a full sense of her ..figure. He tries to play it off and laugh, he felt like she was naked and embarrassment washed over him.
"Of course it's you, alright! ready?" He asked, Enid and Wednesday head to the canoe. Sitting inside, there are three other sets, all with different teams. One specifically was Bianca's team. Principal Weems gives the introduction to students. Wednesday looks down to Thing and a Walkie-Talkie in the Boat.
"I want to welcome you all to the Edgar Allan Poe Cup. This is one of Nevermore's proudest annual traditions, dating back 125 years. Each team must row across to Raven Island, pull a flag from Crackstone's Crypt, and hustle back without sinking or being sunk. First team to cross the finish line with their flag wins the cup and bragging rights for a year, as well as some special privileges. Let the Poe Cup begin!" weems fires a gun into the air and the teams row off. (Y/n) quickly disappears into the crowd and runs along the river. Standing on a small dock, he kneels down to focus on the rowing boats.
He feels the four slowly begins their journey to the island, he senses something else moving in the water. It can't be a fish it's too big, it seems, human.
"Of course!" He grabs his other Walkie-Talkie and comms in.
"Black Cat, this is Blind Hawk, I know how Bianca is cheating! There's another Siren in the water! He's going to topple you over!"
"Roger." Wednesday replies and they continue to row, Wednesday and Company unfortunate reach last before Bianca and Ajax's team, the last flag was taken by them, but a plan was formulated to sink Ajax,
"The final two teams are the Gold Bugs...and the Black Cats!" Weems says from the Megaphone. (Y/n) senses the rowers closing in.
"Whatever you have planned. Do it now." Wednesday says, and (Y/n) smiles.
"Obliged, just stray from the center of the river, I can't control where it goes." He says, Bianca's crew stays in the middle as Wednesday's slowly maneuvers to the side. (Y/n) calms himself and begins to concentrate.
(Y/n) raises his Cain, and storms begin to brew.
"Go ndalladh an diabhal thú, Agus Bealtaine go deo leat dul ar strae!"
He slams his cane into the ground, a dark shadow falls over Bianca's team as flocks of crows come flying, surrounding and blinding them. They scream and bat them away, but to no avail. It halts their journey and Wednesday and company pass them. And even Wednesday could only smirk slyly at it.
"A Murder of Crows, How poetic." She says and spots (Y/n) who gives a bow. They reach the school and confidently jam the flag into the position and secure victory, cheers erupt from the crowds and Enid grabs Wednesday absolutely elated.
"Yeah, we did it! OMG, Wednesday, we did it! This is the greatest moment of my entire life. Admit it, you kinda got into the whole school spirit thing." She says, Wednesday Looks to the side to Bianca and her team sadly making their way there.
"You didn't tell me it was a dark, vengeful spirit." Wednesday watches with dark glee, the end of the festival. The cup is awarded. Principal Weems now gives the speech to the students of Nevermore..
"The first Poe Cup took place in 1897 as a way to not only honor Nevermore's most famous alumni, but to celebrate those values that all outcasts share. Community, perseverance, and determination. And we certainly saw those values on display today! Congratulations to Ophelia Hall! As a former resident, I will be happy to see the cup back on the mantle after all these years." She gives Enid the trophy and they celebrate, but Wednesday is not one less for celebration and sits alone in the corridor, she stands before the statue of Poe with a Raven on his arm, she sits at the base of the statue and lets out a weary sigh. She closes her eyes for a moment.
"Now, What are you doing down here?" A voice calls out, she opens her eyes to (Y/n) standing there, one hand in his pocket and the other on the cane.
"Hiding. People keep randomly smiling at me, it's unsettling." She says, (Y/n) chuckled at that.
"They're looking at you because you did something amazing, You took down The Bianca Barclay. Try to enjoy it, anyway... I wanted to ask if you, wanted to celebrate. Privately of course, as a way of saying thank you for helping Enid, I'm even if it was selfish." He said, giving a warm smile.
"Oh, come on, it won't kill you." He said, she continues her stare, but she gives in.
"I'll think about it." Wednesday said caving into his Cavity inducing sweetness.
"Yes!" He says, but he quickly composes himself. "I mean, of course. I'll be seeing you." He says and walks off, Wednesday watches him leaving, thinking to herself.
"Nevermore continues to be an enigma. A place where the questions far outweigh the answers. But sometimes... the answer is staring you right in the face."
(Y/n) and Wednesday stand side by side, at the statue.
"The Statue of my Favorite Author that i have seen countless times, how thoughtful." Wednesday says deadpanned, (Y/n) Kept smiling.
"I suppose it is, but while the celebration was going on, I did some research of my own. And specifically of the statue, sometimes I listen to music on my walks and I was particularly enjoying the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. I came across the statue and touched it, cold metal, I tapped on it and noticed that some parts of it were, hallow, I continued and noticed small latches on the wings. there are hinges and mechanical gears within. I saw the wing could move, so, after doing a few experiments, I figured it out." He explains, and Wednesday looks intrigued.
"Figured out what exactly?" She asks, he motions her to the statue.
"Please, Snap twice." He says, Wednesday obliges and snaps twice, the wings fold and the arm pulls in, and the statue begins to retract and show a flight of stairs. Wednesday heads down and (Y/n) follows. They enter what seems to be an old library. The knowledge hidden within these walls.
"Secret societies. Hidden libraries. My mother staring at me in a judgmental way. These are all things I've come to expect." Wednesday said, she takes notice of something though.
"(Y/n)." She said, "There." Wednesday approaches a wall of books.
"This, these are the books Rowan Had." She said and he stands next to her.
"I see... so, we know where Rowan got the book from, question is, what was he doing down here?" He asks, the two look in, "But the minute I inch towards the truth..."
As she says this, (Y/n) quickly picks up on the danger looming, he tries to turn to face it, but to no avail. the two are bagged and bound, being dragged into the darkness.
"Luckily, I'm not afraid of the dark."

cass!!!!
Headcanon A:  realistic
Picky eater. She’s able to eat a lot of different foods, after being homeless for many years, but I think now she has a choice, she has a fairly specific diet. She likes things which are salty and spicy, and of course chocolate as a treat. She especially enjoys instant ramen (thanks to Babs) or fast food which tastes exactly the same every time.
Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious
Knows from the moment they met that Steph has a crush on her. Sometimes does the things she knows will increase Steph’s heart rate, like pinning her down when they spar. Has no clue this indicates she has a crush back, she thinks she’s just messing with Steph.
Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends
I do think she has specific triggers around the murder she committed as a child, but she doesn’t have the self-awareness to necessarily understand them. Cass knows that the sight of fussy little party dresses makes her feel hot and adrenaline-filled and like she wants to punch something, but she doesn’t dwell on it beyond thinking they just make her angry because they’re stupid. If Barbara happened to make the connection, maybe if the two went to The Nutcracker together for Christmas and Cass got so antsy she had to leave, she’d shrug Babs off as reading too much into things, as usual.
Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.
While she was alone, I do think Cass made connections in her “lost years” across China, Vietnam and the US. She couldn’t communicate with them much, but I can see her teaching another homeless kid to throw a punch, or always being given a free hot dog by a street vendor, or being intrigued by a tai chi class of elderly people in a park. She doesn’t know what happened to any of these people - she doesn’t even know their names, and even if she did so many of them had already slipped off any official records. She doesn’t know how the vendor sometimes thinks about her just appearing behind him without warning, or how a grandchild doesn’t believe the story of the little girl dressed in black who moved like she had perfect control of every part of her body.

Outsider smp Owen hair head cannons: I've had thoughts about this and wanted to share. Ok so, Owens Minecraft skin that he uses in the smp has hair buns. and i will die on this hill. I think through the entire time in the maze Owen had space buns or pigtails.
Owen is also like 35. So there is a 35 year old man. traumatized by being a child soldier and war criminal....even if he doesn't know it at first. And he wears space buns. I don't know why but that makes me so incredibly happy.
And also this means hes matching with Apo and Magic. Who also have their hair tied up in a similar way.
If you want my full personal head cannon. Owen didn't know what to do with his hair at all when he first entered. At first it wasn't even long enough to tie up. But months passed and he was getting extremely annoyed when it would fall into his eyes while training or stick to the back of his neck after long days in the maze. He was complaining to Apo about this one day and Apo's like. Hold on man i've got this.
The demon comes back with some twine, thin cloth. Or whatever the closest to rubber bands that they have in the clearing. And does Owen's hair up in buns. Owen laughs at first thinking he looks slightly ridiculous. But slowly learns to love them. when they eventually fall out he goes back to Apo asking to do them up again. Apo eventually teaches him how to do it himself and the pair have matching buns through out the more peaceful time of clearing. Sometimes they even dragged Rasbi in. They often placed flowers and other pretty forestry in each other's buns as decoration.
Flash forward several months/ years depending on what you believe. And Magic enters the scene. Owen wants nothing to do with Apo at the moment because he was lied and betrayed to by the demon. One day he comes out with his hair down, everyone a bit surprised they hadn't seen it like this scene the very early days of the clearing. Magic figures out that he's upset and offers to help. He needing something to distract himself and not wanting to have to deal with the mess of long hair in his face when entering the maze, lets the younger mess with his hair. Magic tries a a few styles, just some funny ones to cheer him up a bit. even threatening to dye it crazy colors. In the end Owens hair is up in buns again. But whereas Apo's were small and tight better for just keeping the hair from being a bother. Magics had more volume and airy. They were more for display than function. But he wore them around anyways to match magic and even use them to make fun of her at times. Only it would always end up backfiring. He no longer puts flowers in them. Flash forward again and Owens is cleaning Apo's blood off his spear. In the reflection he sees the buns and flash back to soldier rules on hair length kick in. He picks up some sheers and cuts it all off down to appropriate length. The others cant tell if that was a good or bad thing. Magic is a bit upset they don't match anymore. But Owen assures her that it was only having hair that long was bothering him. By the time Owens locked up having committed multiple murders his hairs a bit out grown again. Not helping with the heat. He can't help but hate that it only proves how much hes fallen from his soldier glory.
Anyway, i also think at one point he dyed a streak of his hair orange. It might have even been a prank on him from either Oeca or Apo that dyed his hair that way. But it didn't stick around only last for a handful of weeks.
And yeah! Outsiders may be long over but i've finally found a place to talk about it so im going to! Sorry not Sorry for the rant he means a lot to me. And if you like this idea let me know.....i might write a fic about it....i've certainly thought about it but idk if i would have the time.

The adoption of Baelon II went something like this:
A pregnant Alicent and an old and disinterested Viserys arrive in Valle and see an orphan child in front of him: THIS CHILD IS NOW OURS.
Alicent: I didn't give birth to this child but if anyone ever makes him cry I swear I will commit so many war crimes without regret.
Baelon: .. .
Viserys: Do you want a dragon, boy? my crown? The Red Keep? The throne? Have what you want, my son.
aaaa, it's actually a little different than that. viserys and alicent meet six year old baelon ii targaryen for the first time during rhaenyra's betrothal/wedding to laenor, after daemon killed rhea. he's introdcued to alicent and his uncle by gerold royce.
baelon ii for all intents and purposes, is extremely suspicious of them, being that his uncle grew up with his murderous, absent father. alicent reminds him a little bit of his mother, in the cautious way she stands, in the way her eyes softened as she looked at him.
alicent sees this frightened, cautious and emotionally scarred little boy without a mother and her heart breaks. she knows in her heart that daemon killed rhea royce and wonders if this little child had known. she immediately convinces viserys to take baelon ii in as their ward before daemon can even get to him.
alicent takes charge of all of the necessary things, not letting viserys interfere at all. his lessons, his maids, his knights, his teachers, what he wears, what he learns, she manages all of it. baelon becomes her child. he sets ser criston as his training master, ser criston teaches him how to use a sword, given that baelon already knows how to use a bow and arrow and baelon picks up everything very quickly.
he learns high valyrian quickly, he learns poems and scriptures very quickly. he visits the sept often with alicent.
baelon develops an indifference towards rhaenyra growing up. he doesn't hate her but he doesn't like her either, he feels nothing for his so called cousin. instead, he grows up to prefer alicent to rhaenyra, he prefers his other cousins to rhaenyra and her children.
viserys favors baelon a lot. viserys takes him down to pick his dragon as a seventh name day gift. the egg he picks, hatches days later, he names the black and red dragon Carnifex. a hatchling of the cannibal and the blood wyrm.
baelon ii was rumored to be as easy-going as his namesake and grandfather but as fierce and his grandmother.

New Rule: The War on the West | Real Time with Bill Maher
New Rule: For all the progressives and academics who refer to Israel as an "outpost of Western civilization" like it's a bad thing, please note: Western civilization is what gave the world pretty much every goddamn liberal precept that Liberals are supposed to adore.
Individual liberty, scientific inquiry, rule of law, religious freedom, women's rights, human rights, democracy, trial by jury, freedom of speech. Please somebody, stop us before we Enlighten again.
And since one can find all these concepts in today's Israel and virtually nowhere else in the Middle East, if anything, the world would be a better place if it had more Israels.
Of course, this message falls on deaf ears to the current crop who reduce everything to being only victims or victimizers, so Israel is lumped in as the toxic fruit of the victimizing West. The irony being that all marginalized people live better today because of western ideals, not in spite of them.
Martin Luther King used Henry David Thoreau's essay "Civil Disobedience" to help shape the Civil Rights Movement. The UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights owes its core to Rousseau and Voltaire. Kleisthenes never showed up for a sexual harassment seminar, but without him there's no democracy. The cop who murdered George Floyd got 21 years for violating his Fourth Amendment rights, an idea we got directly from John Locke, who no one in college would ever study anymore because he's so old, and so white, and so dead, and so Western.
Yes, that's how simple the Woke are. It's never about ideas. If it was, would they be cheering on Hamas for their liberation? Liberation? To do what? More freely preside over a country where there are no laws against sexual harassment, spousal rape, domestic violence, homophobia, honor killings or child marriage. This is who liberals think you should stand with? Women there should be so lucky as to get colonized by anybody else.
And for the record, the Jews didn't "colonize" Israel or anywhere ever, except maybe Boca Raton. Gaza wasn't seized by Israel like India or Kenya was by the British Empire. And the partitioning of the region wasn't decided by Jews, but by a vote of the United Nations in 1947 with everyone from Russia to Haiti voting for it. But apparently, they don't teach this at Drag Queen Story Hour anymore.
Now it is true that for too long we didn't study enough Asian or African or Latin American history. But part of the reason for that is, frankly, there's not as much to study. Colleges replaced courses in Western Civ -- boo! Eyeroll! Dead white men, am I right? -- they replace that with World Civilization classes, which is fine in theory, but what it meant in practice is you read queer poetry of the African diaspora instead of Shakespeare. And I'm sure there's value in both, but as usual, America only ever overcorrects.
And so, we're at this place now where the words "western civ" became kind of a shorthand for "white people ruined everything." But they didn't ruin everything. No, they didn't live up to their own ideals for far too long and committed atrocities. But people back then were all atrocious, not just the white ones depending on who had the power.
But it was the western Enlightenment that gave rise to the notion that the law of the jungle should be curbed. Henry David Thoreau. John Stewart Mill. Ralph Waldo Emerson. Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Three-named dudes. It was all about three-named dudes. Three-named dudes like that were the OG social justice warriors. The ideas that came through Athens, Rome, London, Paris, and yes Philadelphia, are what make life good for most people in free societies today. That the individuals have value, and even the powers that be must submit to the rule of law. That punishment should not be cruel and unusual. That accused people get a trial. That there is such a thing as a war crime.
Why is it that every other culture gets a pass, but the West is exclusively the sum of the worst things it's ever done? You think only white people colonized? Historians estimate that the very non-western Mr Genghis Khan killed 40 million people, and that was in the 13th century. He single-handedly may have reduced the world's population by 11%. On the other hand, he kind of made up for it, because he was such a prolific colonizer of vaginas that today an estimated 16 million people are his direct descendants.
So, stop saying "western civilization" like it's a contradiction in terms. It's not. You're thinking of "moderate Republican."
==
The people who snarl "western civilization" went to elite universities with air conditioning where they used their MacBook Pros and iPhones on extensive Wi-Fi networks.

Baghra, the Compassionate
Ol’ Bags is completely different character in second season. Literally. I’m not sure if it’s just making her fit her new role, or reaction to criticism of her heartless treatment of her own child.
(Sasha -, Ol’ Bags ~)
- There was a time we were united in our beliefs. The world wanted us to live in fear. But you taught me that Grisha were superior. That they should fear us.
~ Time... has changed my perspective.
So, Baghra is the philanthropist now?! Yes, she taught Aleksander Grisha are better than everyone, or more precisely she taught him ~they~ are better than everyone, Grisha included. No, Aleksander didn’t quite adapt that view, because he lacks her disdain for others.
- And what happened to the woman who would burn villages just to keep her child safe?
~ I protected you the only way I knew how. I taught you strength, cunning. But never compassion. I see my mistakes now, too late.
Sure you do...
He learnt compassion by himself. “And what about those in danger now? We need to safeguard all Grisha. We need to teach them how to fight.”
- There are no mistakes, only lessons. I am rebuilding this country for the Grisha. We started this together. Now you're making me finish it alone.
When did Baghra- in books, or show- care about others?
The only thing she ever started with him and made him finish alone, is his life in books, after she commits performative suicide.
~ I hear the whispers. Grisha being persecuted again. Driven out of the very palace you built to keep them safe. Murdered indiscriminately by the King's soldiers. Hundreds of years have passed and you have dragged us right back to where we started.
We? Where HE started!
Bitch is blaming him again for actions of other people. There are no witnesses to what happened in the Fold, yet it’s obviously Grisha’s fault. You don’t get this kind of reaction out of nowhere. The hatred was already here. For people, who are fighting for decades alongside otkazat’sya Ravkans... but there would be no wars if their neighbours could just freely hunt those annoying witches, so yeah. It’s Grisha’s fault.
- I should've murdered the first king I ever met and taken his crown. A lesson. See? This time I shan't stop at a palace. The entire country will be ours.
~ A little empire.
- Perhaps.
So surprising after trying to overthrow the King last season...
The writing’s obviously meant to make him look like powerhungry psycho. Murder the king?! Build an empire?! How evil! I’m sure he’ll be worse than the greedy rapist king.
