Ren: I agree. It's never a good sign. We should be ready for something.

Jaune: Ready for what?

Nora: Oh you know usually things never stay quiet for long especially when we're right next door to the main characters.

*yang burst into the room*

Pyrrha: And speaking of the devil.

Yang: Quick hide! *brace the door behind her*

Jaune: Oh Shi- okay gangs we trained for this! Quick initiate Pattern Delta Phi.

Nora: Aye, aye dear leader, let's initiate plan hiding under our bed's like cowards.

JNPR: *Bracing for Impacts.*

*Yang holding the door with all her might*

Ren: Wait what are even hiding from in the first place?

Yang: No time to explain. Here it Comes!

A large sounds resembling explosion came from across the hallway. The door starts to violently shakes and rose petals soon violently burst into the room. Even with Yang putting all her strength into the door. Some rose petals still managed to get inside.

Yang: .... I think we're in the clear now.

Pyrrha: What just happened?

Yang: Eh, promise not to freak out?

Jaune: Okay, I guess...

Yang: Good enough. *shows team JNPR the source of the roses*

Ruby: Huee~ *sniffs* huee~ 😭

Jaune: Ruby?

Ren: It seems to be her.

Pyrrha: Wait. Where are Blake and Weiss?

Nora: Found them. They're buried under all of this Rose petals.

Blake: *coughing up a bunch of petals* Eww I got some of it in my mouth.

Weiss: .... I just saw my grandfather.

Jaune: Okay, can someone now please tell us what is going on....

*Cardin burst into the room*

Cardin: Why the Fuck are there Roses all over the damn hallways!?

Russel: Don't try to lie we know it's coming from team RWBY!

Yang: Wow, wow! False accusation, much?

Dove: Well we can't help it. Because whenever something bad happened It's usually always you four.

Sky: Fucking Main characters shit...

Nora: I know right!

Pyrrha: Nora! Which sides are you on?

Jaune: Okay I get the gist of it. Team CRDL go outside and clean the hallway.

Cardin: What! Why the fuck should we clean up their mess?!

Jaune: Because I fucking said so. Now go!

Cardin: Geez... Whatever. C'mon boys, we better clean up team RWBY's mistakes. Again!

*slams door*

Blake: Thanks Jaune.

Weiss: Geez Arc, when did you grow a spine?

Yang: I gotta say Vomit Boy. I never knew you had it in you.

Pyrrha: *blush* (So manly.)

Nora: That's our Jaun-Jaun.

Jaune: Blake, Weiss. Please help Cardin & his team with the clean up outside.

Weiss: What! No way. Why should we help those dunderheads in the first place.

Jaune: Because they're right that the mess was started by your team.

Weiss: I'm sorry, our? For the record it's just Rub...

Blake: We're on it Jaune. C'mon Weiss let's help clean up all this roses. *drags Weiss away*

Jaune: Pyrrha, Ren, Nora. I also want you to go out side and help them.

Pyrrha: I understand Jaune. I will do as you ask.

Nora: Oh c'mon Jaune, why us too?

Jaune: Because they're our friends, Nora.

Nora: Well I'm about to go back to my room... *gets yoinked*

Ren: It's okay Jaune. I will get her to help us.

Nora: *grumble* (Fucking Main characters....)

Jaune: Thanks Ren. And Yang I want you to stay and find Ruby's "hygiene" products.

Yang: Wow, wow! Settle down cowpoke. I don't think you being a man is qualified to be the one to help with Ruby's "issue."

Ruby: But I caused so much problems for everyone. *sniffle*😞

There, there Ruby it's okay that what's friends are for. And you didn't troubled me one bit. In fact I'm happy to be of use to you. It reminds me that I'm still useful to someone.

Ruby: Jaune please don't think like that. You always were important to everyone.

Jaune: *kiss forehead*

Jaune: What's the matter... Ohhh, ohhh no. I'm so-so sorry Ruby I didn't realize that... I usually did that to my little sister whenever she's sad.

I-I don't mind it at all Jaune. It's just that if you want to do it to me again a little heads up would be nice. 😖

Yang: *clears throat*

Saints of the Sword

Something was wrong at Beacon, but Cardin couldn't put his finger on it. But he knew it revolved around teams RWBY and JNPR, and the new transfer student Jade Hedera. So he watched, as things unfolded. It sickened him what he saw. He was an ass and yes bully, but even he wouldn't be so dismissive of someone he cared for or called a friend.

So Cardin and his team made a choice. Something was rotten in Beacon, something insidious and twisted. When Jaune left, so did they...

Team CRDL's Semblances

Here's a short little note about the Semblances of Team CRDL. Because the show never gave the four of them Semblances, I will be creating my own. Most of them will be original to me, except for Sky Lark's semblance. His was made by rainstorm4 in the great fanfic, Redemption. Give it a read if you have the chance.

Also, a side note. I like to give my semblances two things: visual cues and realistic drawbacks. I personally feel it gives the semblances more impact, and it avoids the problem of "well, why don't they keep their abilities active all the time?", respectively.

Second side note, I try to make semblances represent something about the character. Once upon a time, semblances used to be a representation of the soul. Although that idea has been totally scrapped, I'm going to kinda incorporate it.

Starting off with Cardin Winchester, his semblance is called "Dreadnought". It increases his speed, strength and durability fivefold. It is an active semblance, and while active it allows Cardin to pull off incredible feats of strength and fighting prowess. Downside, it takes a lot of aura out of him to activate, and when he shuts it down, either of his own accord or by being knocked out, he is left pretty exhausted. Visually, you can tell his semblance is active when his breath has the appearance of hot steam. This ability represents his stubborn determination, to win at all costs.

Next up, we have Russel Thrush, and the semblance I personally love the most, "Roulette". Tell me, do you like gambling with your life? Roulette can be an absolute boon or bane. In short, Roulette can cause a number of different effects when it is activated, some good, some bad. Sometimes, it will supercharge his Aura, sometimes it will give him a boost of adrenaline, sometimes it will damage his aura, cause immense pain, and everything inbetween. He doesn't use it unless he is completely desperate, or if he's just testing his own limits. Every day, he is still finding new effects. Visually, you can tell he has activated Roulette because his pupils will shift different colors from his usual deep blue. It represents the more risky side of Russel's personality, the daredevil in him, but it's also emblematic of his outlook on life. Sure, he's been dealt a pretty crummy hand in life (in this AU, he ran away from an abusive situation, shifted hands a lot in the foster system, lost his leg in the Fall of Beacon) but despite his bad luck, he still considers himself a pretty lucky person for meeting the friends he did, despite what his cynical and grumpy nature may tell you.

Dove Bronzewing, in this AU, will be the younger brother of the group, the more innocent one of the team, has probably the most benign ability, Angel's Touch. It gives healing, at the cost of his Aura. His abilities may not be on par with Jaune, but it is more versatile than Jaune's Aura Amp, being able to heal people regardless of whether or not he has a crush on them. (Oh snap, shots fired, Jaune could've totally saved Penny. Jokes aside, my problems with Jaune have least to do with his character, and more to do with his writers.) Angel's Touch can be used to heal external wounds, but he struggles to heal internal injuries. The deeper the wound, the more impossible it gets, and the larger the wound, the more aura it will take for Dove to heal. Visually, you can tell that he's using it by a crackling white energy around his hands. This ability represents Dove's desire to help people, to protect the ones he cares about. Also, here's a little tidbit, he unlocked it during the Fall of Beacon, and he couldn't use it on a lot of people because they had already died. I love angst.

Lastly, we have Sky Lark, the blunette axe wielder of CRDL. His Semblance is called Keensense. It is a passive Semblance that increases his sense of smell, sight, hearing, touch and taste to better than a human. While there is seemingly no downside, the problem comes that he is extra sensitive to everything. An explosion goes off beside your ear, it may ring for a bit. You smell something bad, he smells it even worse. An explosion goes off beside Lark's ear, and he'll go deaf for a few moments. That being said, Keensense can come in handy when it comes to tracking Grimm, listening for danger, and gives him a general quality of life ability. Because it is passive, there is no visual cue. I believe it represents his calmer, more logical and pragmatic way of thinking.

It was the day after the sickening discovery in team CRDL's dorm room. Ozpin and Glynda were standing at the bullhead pads, awiting the arrival of the VPD Forensic Investigations Team.

Glynda: So what do we do now?

Ozpin: I don't know.

Glynda: We NEED to get ahead of whatever this is... before it gets even worse.

Ozpin: I don't know what to tell you Glynda. I'm at a loss, as to how or why any of this is happening...

Glynda: Is it related to what happened to CFVY?

Ozpin: I doubt it, but who knows. Hopefully this team will find us some answers.

Glynda: The rumors are already starting. We need to issue a statement to at least the student body, before things get out of hand.

Ozpin: I agree, I just don;t know how to address this issue... four young men rendered limb from limb and consumed... not really anyway to make that more palatable.

Glynda: Then just be honest, and let the students know that we are taking actions. Maybe even put in a stricter curfew?

Ozpin: They were in a locked room.

Glynda: You know those locks can be breached. It takes effort and some technical savvy, but they can be.

Ozpin: I know. We'll inform the students of the investigation, and we'll instate a curfew. Until further notice all students must be in their registered dorms by 8 pm.

Glynda: Any exceptions?

Ozpin: No.

Glynda: So I can deny Ms Scarlatina's request to have Mr Arc share her room?

Ozpin: Without Question.
