I feel like it's probably a minority opinion here, but I always thought the scenes with Lysandre in Ultra were more scary than the ones with Ghetsis. (They're both still plenty scary tho.)

Yea, Ghetsis assaults Lillie and is implied to have probably killed N and is basically is one of the few villains who actually won in their world (A&M would have actually died if Giovanni hadn't intervened, and Cyrus got whisked away by Giratina), but it's pretty likely before he does anything more that's too severe, I could have called out my Golurk, and just have it tear him away from her before beating him senseless. It's borderline a desperate threat with his entire team down, and he knows your team is absolutely pissed at him for shoving Lillie. (You could at least give him an actual grip on her still or something.)

Lysandre gets to your world after having likely just killed many in his own, and is ready to keep killing people. But, even if the Ultimate Weapon talk is a bluff on his part, he decides to psychologically torture the 11yro player character because both buttons (supposedly) lead to a "doom the world and it's all your fault" scenario. You lose to him, and it's apparently a game over for you and everyone you know and love in Alola, and he made sure you're dying despairing that you're at least partly responsible because no matter which button you chose, he's rigged it against you. Man might not be as personally nasty as Ghetsis is, but there's definitely still a notable sadistic streak with him too 😬

actually I proposed AZ's brother as being the one to be in charge of the rebuild in PLZA but I also think it's possible that proto Team Flare is behind it because

There's talk about "beauty" as the main goal which is Flare's entire thing

The rebuilding of Paris in 1853 IRL also was done out of a need to "beautify" the city

In PLA we see the origins of Team Galactic but as heroes, so it's entirely possible they'll do the same thing again

Team Flare is named after solar flares, and the logo on the documents kind of looks like a stylized solar flare, with the ring being the sun and the burst being the flare

Cyrus generally gets about 3hrs of sleep a week on average, when he actually does sleep, he could sleep thru the end of the world. It makes a road trip with all these other idiots bearable.
