Hi chat uhhh TF2 AU incoming

It canonically is a video game, specifically a mod. A lot of the focus of the AU is the fact that it is a game. Scout, long since having dropped the title in favor of using his name (shortened to Jerry often), is the protagonist. He found himself back at RED base after having left the mercenary group a year prior. Things had become weird. Everyone was suffering from physical side effects every time a respawn occurred. It started small; sometimes a pain would radiate through them, or something would look... off.

Scout realized something was deeply, deeply wrong when he started vomiting blood after a respawn. This was how he knew he had to leave. After failing to convince any of his fellow mercs to join him in his escape, he left in the middle of the night.

Now, he has returned. His team... is no longer his team. Everyone he'd grown close to has become disgusting monsters, twisted beyond human from botched respawn after botched respawn.

Everyone but Engie... we don't know where he is.

Creating content for myself and myself only, because who else has ever thought about tatar vampire au spoovy?

set way back in time, to an undescribed year where heavy's main concern is various forest creatures eating their livestock before a person covered in soil and blood comes and drops (un-)dead on the yard. spy's main concern is learning to not be a comical villain from the capital and feeding chickens rather than killing them after being turned into a mëçkëy/upyr (somewhat of a vampire. little info online though). also wounds are very slow in bleeding and healing - has bandages on their face now to slow it more, but they've fully turned red and don't care enough to change them after heavy did it the first time.

heavy only lets spy live at the start of their encounter because they make a deal where spy would protect their livestock from other forest animals/spirits on the account they get to live on their farm. later on they kiss and stuff. might write a fic later on when i'm finished frontiersmen but that's a long ways away.

At the start - the first three of four years the Fortress mercs spent at the Gravel Wars - it was taken seriously by pretty much everyone. However, as time went on, the more they started realizing that it's all pointless, the war will go for far longer than they're even gonna be around and also the sheer stupidity of fighting for centuries over goddamned *gravel* and so eventually half(if not most(if not all)) the fights would look something like…

The Engineers set aside their differences to build the most messed up futuristic weapons in the history of ever

The Scouts are either having a race or playing baseball (with bombs, probably)

At any given moment someone somewhere is doing(or trying to) kazotsky kick

BLU Sniper's just chilling up in his hideout, watching whatever the hell the others are up to

RED Demo is just rambling on about life to whoever listens(a.k.a. whoever doesn't yeet themselves outta here the moment they see him) and giving mildly normal(sometimes even adequate) advice if someone does the same to him

RED Sniper and BLU Spy are god-knows-where rambling about how much their respective teams suck and how they don't do anything while not doing anything themselves

The Pyros are having fun :) (run for your dear life if you see them in a ten mile radius)

Overlooker is in the respawn room trying to do tricks with any weaponry he sees and failing (being the reason he's in the respawn room in the first place)

RED Medic is trying to get anyone (regardless of team) to let him experiment on them (so far he got, like, 2 fools)

Everyone else is either actually trying to get the job done, slept through the announcement, or is nowhere to be seen.

Of course, this immediately raised worries in the Mann Co. about the mercs figuring out they technically work for the same company, but newsflash - they couldn't care less, so things are mostly normal…

When they figure out about the cloning, however, all will go south. But that's a story for another day.

Some spoilers from my new TF2 AU |

So yeah spy has nightmares about Dell/engineer alot. He doesn't know why but assumes it's just his subconscious's way of telling him what he's doing is wrong or something similar. The Dell in the nightmare isn't him.

• Spy is a vampire (stereotypical suave vamp)

• Medic is a Frankenstein (he just kept replacing parts of himself)

• Pyro is a full blooded human (hehe)

• Scout is a spirit (goes zooooom a lot like a trail of light ball. Loves to haunt people. His ma is a Phoenix type.)

• Engineer is an alien (let's say Martian for full classicalness)

• heavy is a giant/kaiju (same with his sisters and mother. He has a more mammal/boulder appearance. Like a fucked up bear. Zhanna is similar but less earthy. Even more beast-like.)

• Demoman is a werewolf. (was sent away by his parents [also werewolves] until he was infected or reached his full lycanthrope potential)

• Sniper is a reaper (Very professional. Close to a hitman. Also just listen to any of his low-delivered lines)

• Soldier is gorgon (Thats what medusa is, for those who don't know. Hence his helmet. He prefers to blow up/wack his enemies than turn them to stone. “Real Americans shed blood!”)
