I've been super obsessed with all your Klarion and Danny prompts/ideas (whether platonic or otherwise) that I desperately wanted to share this with you. It was originally supposed to be the starter for its own fic, and maybe one day it will be, but! I wanted to share it with you first. :) I hope you like it! (This is cartoon Young Justice universe, btw):

Zatanna was not having a great day. Her students were performing well all things considered, but that didn't change the fact that they were up against a literal Lord of Chaos and were failing. Badly. It's to be expected to a degree. She's the only one here with the most experience save for, possibly Mary, but even then, the girl had typically been teamed up with Captain Marvel in settings like this.

Her students were good, but they weren't ready. Although nothing could ever really prepare you for something like this.

She grunted as she hit the floor rolling to the side of another sweep of fire, wincing when she heard Khalid take a hard hit nearby as well. Zatanna wasn't sure if she felt better or worse over the fact that Klarion seemed to be having just as hard a time with the Child, but seeing as Klarion, miraculously, was somehow their only hope in the situation... She had to say, worse probably.

"We can't keep doing this," Zatanna muttered under her breath, eyes darting over to where Traci dodged with a shriek a powerful blast from Child. She wracked her brain for an idea, and it wasn't until her eyes laid on Klarion once again did it hit her. Like a wrecking ball.

"That's it!" She cried, leaning towards the dirty ground as she began to draw a summoning circle with her hands. It was a bit rudimentary, and likely not super successful as it could have been had she the right sacrifices, but it would do. Hopefully.

Kneeling at the edge of the completed circle, she exclaimed, "Aelp ym raeh! gniK eht htrof llac I!" She pooled a good amount of power into the command as well, hoping it would give the kick necessary to truly summon her friend. The summoning circle almost immediately began to glow bright green, a ring of lurid green fire erupting around the ring.

She stumbled back at the heat of the flames, not expecting it to grow so hot so quickly. Perhaps she had pooled a little too much energy into it?

Clouds swirled overhead as the summoning circle gained strength, gaining the interest of her pupils but left ignored by the two Lords of Chaos going at one another. Even if that was a rather one-sided battle.

Zatanna nearly gasped when she saw a a jut of rock come for Teekl, Klarion's familiar and the creature needed for Klarion to remain on Earth. It would have killed the cat instantly, and could have very easily done so, had it not been for the sudden eruption of ice that sharply changed the rock's trajectory. Teekl mewled as if they has never been in danger, and scampered off in the direction of their savior.

Zatanna followed the cat's journey, finding herself releasing a sigh of relief when Teekl curled into the arms of one Phantom. Aka the High King of the Infinite Realms. Bingo, take that Child.

"You!" Child spat, a fire lit in her eyes.

"Danny!" Klarion practically swooned. "You're here!! Now let's go kick some ass!"

She could sense her students' eyes on the newcomer as well, probably taking note of the relieved look on Zatanna's face to top it off.

"Who is that?" Mary asked in a low voice, as she helped Zatanna to her feet.

"That would be Danny Phantom. High King of the Infinite Realms, my ex's baby brother, and the subject of Klarion's huge ass crush."

Omg yes! This is perfect! I love Klarion swooning. Also former Zatanna x Jazz is a nice touch that I didn't see coming.

Danny helping beat up Child while snuggling Teekl is a mental image I will adore for days to come

Let’s talk about ZRCN

Okay so despite the ambiguous title, I want to set the record straight and say this isn’t anything bad! This isn’t me coming here like “Oh yeah I’m not working on this anymore”.

No, this is me here to talk about the future and what you can expect moving forward

So, as most of you know by now, Arc 4 will be my last arc for ZRCN. If all goes to plan I should be finished by the end of this year. If not then, then definitely early 2022! However, there is something I plan to afterwards and that is a rewrite of Arc 1.

Why a rewrite?

Arc1 was in need of some touch ups anyways in my opinion, but it was only during a recent readthrough that I realised how all over the place it was and how certain parts don’t connect as well to the established fanon as much as I’d like. I was already considered heavy editing and after reading it I was like “You know what, let’s just rewrite it instead” so that’s what we’re going to do.

What’s staying the same?

For the most part I’d like the major story beats to remain the same i.e, the Fall of Beacon, introduction of Wisteria, staying with the Sewicks. There are also certain blocks of dialogue I’d like to keep too.

What’s changing?

A LOT to be quite frank.

I’ll bullet some of the changes I’d like to implement below:

Slightly tweaking the timeline a bit so that certain events flow together better. What this basically means is that Wisteria’s intro won’t happen until after the FoB as opposed to concurrent with things in Vale. This also allows for some more wriggle room between Helia’s appearances in RAIN (and a future appearance in LLAC) before returning home.

Additional chapters at the start + a prologue. I’m definitely not a huge fan of how I started things off with ZRCN. I’d like to keep them watching Team KWTZ at some point, but I’ll move that to a later chapter and actually show their losing match against Team CARN (who, on a slightly unrelated note are being renamed to PCAN). As for the prologue I’d like to use that to set things up with Farron’s group.

Speaking of Farron’s group, I’d like to expand on them a bit in the rewrite. I feel like we didn’t see them enough in Arc 1 which was a shame, so I’d like to rectify that. I’d also like to expand Saika and Merlot’s time in the fic, and make them more of a multi-chapter issue as opposed to appearing in one chapter and then getting imprisoned straight away.

Going back to CARN/PCAN I’d like to implement them a little more in the rewrite too. Giving them the opportunity to cross paths with ZRCN again post-FoB and possibly giving them the nudge to explore Hargrave Manufacturing which in turn triggers the larger plot as a whole.

I’d like to maybe spend a bit more time at the Sewick Manor/with the Sewick family. I’d like to fit in some more interactions between Callaway and ZRCN that didn’t occur over a dinner.

There’s a couple of other things that might be added too, but they’re a bit more up in the air. This includes training with Team DAMK in some of the first chapters, putting a little bit of a nod to the Mob Ops in when they meet with Wren, further elaboration on the friendship between Neela and Chester (as well as their families), a new conversation with Jasmine.

I la resta del dia, ruta pels Finger Lakes. Els Finger Lakes son 11 llacs estrets i llargs, Situats verticalment en el mapa i un al costat de l’altre, ocupant la zona central de l’estat de NY. Aquesta és una zona de moltes i petites vinyes, rutes panoràmiques i petits racons i parcs naturals.

Nosaltres triem el llac Seneca perquè tenim el camping a l’extrem nord i hi ha un petit parc a l’extrem sud, el Watkins Glen. Es tracta d’un estret canó amb parets fosques de mil-fulles/capes que es pot recórrer per un camí lateral (massa “urbanitzat” pel meu gust) però molt maco!

Allà els nens s’han inspirat per fer mil.lers de fotografies, cal dir que algunes son maquissimes!!, de cada racó i detall, “que potser podriem enviar al National Geographic”... (nota de la mama: està bé pensar en gran, però potser podem començar pel Concurs del TOT Fotoportada😅).

El Sergi ha fet un amago al Jordi “tirant” la moneda.

A la tornada hem baixat per una ruta més elevada i hem fet la contribució Gambetta team a un racó ple de fites de pedretes.

De tornada cap al Camping, parada pràctica per comprar un vi de la zona en una de les vinyes que hem passat. Molt contenta amb la tria! Estava bonissim!

RWBY OC Fic Recommendations!

No doubt most of the people who follow me are well aware of my RWBY Fancomic, Team RAIN, which is presently on hiatus while I slowly work on the first chapter(s) of the final arc.

While you wait, dear readers, why not delve into some other RWBY fanworks? 

Need I mention that the following are canon to the Team RAIN comic? While you don’t need to read the other two for one to make sense, doing so will provide nice little nuggets and references along the way that you may not catch otherwise. This is like the RWBY OC Cinematic Universe.

Team ZRCN (Zircon), comprised of Zelde Sewick, Xanthos Ravindra, Cordovan Radcliff and Neela Oxford, are a second-year team from Atlas Academy. Throughout their quest to end an underground crime spree running rampant throughout the kingdom, the four of them chance upon a revolver toting Bloody Mary, Atlas’s greatest university, the Ace Ops’ B-Team and a Vytal Tournament Winner, among a LOT more.

I’ve been friends with the author for 5 and a half years, and played no small part in roping her into the RWBY fandom. It’s really awesome to be on the reader end of a fic about a team I’m very invested in!

A third-year team from Haven Academy, Team LLAC (Lilac) is roped in by their mentor, to aid in solving the murder of two veteran huntsman. The team is comprised of twins Lillian and Amaryllis Armilde, Harriet “Hattie” Lazuli, and Cait Miya.

The author started out by suggesting ideas to me over anons, and has become a good friend of mine over the years. I’m so glad I managed to persuade him to put pen to paper, because I always knew he’d be a great writer (spoiler; I was right). Though it’s quite a young story right now, LLAC sits on a very strong foundation.

The fact that Robin can augment her physical abilities with her Semblance likely boosted their confidence to no end. However, they sorely underestimated how much some people hate to lose.

The 'historic' snowfall that the Catalan weather service was predicting for today has yet to arrive. It is snowing lightly this morning, fine, dusty flakes that aren't yet accumulating any significant depth. With the wind gusting at 20-30kph and temperatures around -8°c it isn't the most pleasant of mornings but the visibility is better than expected.

Something for the ladies this morning. A team from Grandvalira-Saetde, together with the Rimarts brand, is carrying out an experiment - maturing cava by submerging it in the Pessons lake. The experiment is to study what type of cava will emerge after 200 bottles spend nine months at 2,500 meters altitude, in the water and at low temperatures. The owner of Rimard Cavas, from Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Ricard Martínez, believes that the height will slow the evolution of the cava, so that "more fineness, more elegance and more integration can be achieved". More additional interesting detail (in English)can be found here:

Grandvalira are satisfied with the season so far, despite lamenting that bad weather complicated the start, and that most weekends in February were weather struck. Since the beginning of the winter, access to France has closed five times. "Thanks to the growth of international markets, at this time the station is 3% above the figures achieved last year" said the director general of Grandvalira, Alfonso Torreño. "This suggests that, with the remainder of the season, especially thanks to the results that can be obtained during Easter, the set goals will be met, which will grow by 2% compared to last winter, keeping the line rising in recent years".
