BUT !!!!! I have a feeling that it’s Wonpil and Felix working together to sell artworks 🧐 Felix asks this mystery person if they’re going to the party, to which they say they’re “...still thinking about it.” Which leads me to believe it’s not anyone around Felix’s age since everyone that we’re aware of, is going to the party (besides Jake and Ryujin). Felix mentions he’s just the “broker” and the other is the “appraiser” so the other person must have outer connections, and being that this takes place in college, the appraiser has to be older be a few years at least.... And considering the text eonnie sent to Wonpil a few chapters ago, that she wanted something and Wonpil answered that he could lose his job if he helps her out...... My guess is she needed money and wonpil, the good guy that he seems, is going to Felix for help to steal the art and wonpil IS in a good place to be able to sell it 👀

Oh my....is that 👀 What I think it is ??!? 👀 Is that a hint of jealousy masked in annoyance from my one and only 🤤 It sure seems like Han wants to sleep with Y/n ????? Ouuuuuuuu you’re probably right Hyunjin, you best intervene 🥵 Bestie you’re hitting me with my kryptonite with that one OUUFFF 🥺

and omg, i gotta say, i love love love loooove the observation and the connections here. i appreciate the fact that you pulled all of that just from a few sentences exchanged. i am AMAZED 😤. it’s interesting to see a theory on felix’s partner that isn’t just between jisung or seungmin 👀. like, everyone has their own circles but in the grand scheme of things, all of these characters are connected in some way or another (whether secretly or not) so it’s not at all a reach to say that maybe it’s wonpil or maybe even jae 🥸

Firstly,

I’ve seen a few of your anons saying they’d never approach a character like Felix in real life... I’ve come to confess that I would immediately fall for him🧍🏻‍♀️.... I mean 🤤 The dark, mysterious, flirtatious all wrapped in a gorgeous guy🥵 And the way Felix speaks to Y/n makes my knees weak aaagghhhhh always calling her “Kitty” I-🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️It makes me so giddy 👉🏼👈🏼 I’ve also dated a few guys like that through high school and it’s a weakness let me tell you 😭 Never been the type to like super sweet, cute, good guys 😫

Okay secondly,

I love that Y/n went to Jisung with the whole Lia, Jake and Ryujin love triangle situation, he’s turning into a seemingly good friend already🤞🏼 (I love fics with best friend Jisung 😭) But will he try to fill in the gaps that she left from being vague about who the “friends” are?? 😯 I hope so...

(OUUUUU WAIT what if Jisung casually mentions this love triangle to the boys?! And then UH OH everyone’s minds are reeling with the who’s who possibilities😈 I stan some juicy drama in these kind of fics✨)

It’s surprising to see eonnie finally spoke to Jae 😳 I hope thing go well for their dinner and no sibling fights begin... I have this strange feeling somethings gonna go down though, there’s a reason eonnie ignored Jae for three and a half years and it’s definitely not resolved, whatever “it” may be 👀

And I’m so so ready for this party they’re talking about 🙌🏼 Everyone mingling together with drinking and drama 🥴 Can’t wait for some more Hyunjin Vs. Y/n action 🥵

When she goes to the gk and HYUNJIN is there 💥🫀💥 Ouuuuuu Hyunjin is not gonna be happy I feel, but maybe he’ll start connecting some dots, although there are fewer for him to connect that Y/n, who has a good bit of speculations and straight facts to go by 🥴 djsKsbannsdjens what if he messages chocolate and OOP- she’s right there my dude what a coincidence😱

On another note, last chapter............ Hyunjin and naeyon (??) (I am extremely sorry if her name is misspelled 😭) He mentioned “getting her doors fixed”, but they aren’t broken to her knowledge? 👀 Someone locked them in that room together and why do I have a feeling it was ???Han??????? He was the one to “get them out” plus he asked Y/n to go upstairs to get Jake In OnE oF tHe RoOmS so he knew she’d be up there and what if he saw her go in with Hyunjin ?????? He’s been so persistent with Hyunjin about Y/n and their personal conflict, AND here he is, in the last update, just giving his ticket to Hyunjin when he asked Y/n to be his date 😐 I don’t know if he’s trying to play matchmaker or if he has more sinister, ulterior motives but I’m keeping an eye on him 🤨 Or it could have been ✨Felix✨ that locked them in together cause he loves their feud for some reason....

FELIX WAS HIRED ......... I’m DEAD. WHO ??? WHO HIRED HIM WHAKAJRKSNDBENSKN WHAT. And Hyunjin is finally picking up on the strangeness thank god 🥺 But I’m also taking into account the post you made of scratched versions from certain story points and 👀 Felix AND Han we not gonna be part of the story at all👀 That got me thinking perhaps it’s because they are in cahoots ?!?!?

JHSAHSHSS i think y/n's questions were anything but "general" she really just went straight in for the kill. as of right now, so many boxes are getting crossed off of her list and it really only comes down to one suspect: hyunjin. which y'know, it'll be up to her whether or not she'll be in denial about it or not.

THE ART EXHIBIT "DATE" that's gonna be so interesting as well 🙈. but yeah, unfortunately for hyunjin, he doesn't even have a single clue as to who his choco might be :((( y/n beat him to it.

han did smth nice, but i feel like hyunjin might not like it if he realizes that it may have been out of "pity" 😔💔. also about the mom thing, the exhibit isn't really "for" his mom, more like, he has memories about the exhibit connected to his mom ifykwim. so by going to the exhibit, he kinda reminisces on those memories. i'll def expand more on this on d-day of the exhibit~

yes it was indeed implied that they were locked in— the thing is that, y/n wasn't supposed to be there. it might've just been pure coincidence that she got locked into that room with hyunjin simply because she got the wrong room for jake. which meant that hyunjin was the sole target 🐣✨. and i feel like han simply wanted to go on a date with y/n but ended up getting his empathy for his friend win over in the end 🤧💔, i doubt han is purposefully playing matchmaker.

felix is probably a mercenary atp 💀, he gets hired by anyone and everyone. maybe hyunjin should just hire him as well, can't beat the players then join the game. he's picking up on the strangeness but after the recent update, he might dial back on it a little bit because of nayeon~

JSHWJSHS the scratched versions. yes, felix and han weren't supposed to be in the fic. for han, his "character" trope and role was supposed to be taken by someone else, and by this, i meant the "cute boy-next-door nice guy who likes y/n" role. this was supposed to be jake, but i scratched that bit for him because it made more sense that jake and y/n's relationship would border into sibling territory because of how wonpil raised them. but i really wanted a nice sweetheart in the fic and also to balance hyunjin's friend group so i added jisung into the mix (was supposed to be chan but then he'd be too overpowering). so it was more like "han jisung" as a face wasn't supposed to be there, but his character had been planned from the start. chan and minho were my other top contenders to take the sweetie role.

felix on the other hand, i really had no plan, even for some other person, i didn't go like "i want a mysterious guy"—i just ended up wanting another scummy character that's more morally unguided in contrast to seungmin (who does illegal stuff but still has his head straight). just the ultimate trump card. the "art thief" arc wasn't actually planned and was more of an 'in the moment' addition so when i initially wrote that bit, felix's partner was still an undecided character~ 🥸

and pls 🙈 i love reading thoughts no matter how long. it also helps me to talk about them just in case i need to clarify or correct some misunderstood bits~ thanks for sending in an ask! ♥️

Hi hi ❣️ How are you ?! Are you excited for the holidays?!

I just finished reading through the latest updates for SLC and ohhhh boyyyyyyy 😭

To be honest I’m kind of heart broken for Y/n, her relationship with “Candy” has gone so far downhill, (understandable from Hyunjin’s side now that their identities have been revealed) But like 😫😫 The one person she felt so comfortable and safe talking to is no more since Hyunjin refuses to see her as anything but a “phony” or a “horrible person”😓 It hurts my heart so much... And Seungmin.... I get where he comes from and why he can’t find a way to forgive her but will their “friendship” end here for good ?!

I’m glad Y/n still has Ryujin, her sister and partly Jae to confide in, everyone needs someone you know ? Side note: I can’t believe Lia likes Jae 🤭 I was cringing too when he started texting her...

Okay now honestly, I cannot get over the fact that Felix is actually dead, I thought for sure he would of escaped and added a look-a-like in his place, but Han going to see him in the casket solidified the truth... OR DID IT ?!?? Is he actually, truly, 100% gone ????? I still don’t fully believe it 🥲 It was nice to finally get some back story for Felix’s character.... Who would have thought he was poor and struggling for so long before Han decided to offer him a job 😭 It made my little crush on his character a little bigger not gonna lie 🥺 Thank you for adding that in it was wonderful ❣️

Is it just my biased heart, that gets a little jealous when Hyunjin talks/spends time with Naeyon ? Or is everyone else normal ? Cause I always go 🤨😑Whenever I read anything to do with them 🤡 I know they’re really good friends and I’m happy Hyunjin has her for all she does to help him but... my heart can’t help it (I’m down so terribly for Hyunjin it’s not okay) Fingers crossed Jae swoops in and start dating her 👀🥴

I have some thoughts about Hyunjin’s idea for the art exhibit... Maybe, possibly, 10 smaller paintings that when lined up together make the full “Eleanor’s Life” statue? Sculpture? 😅 (I apologize I can’t remember if it was specified.) Whenever he painted it before, it was based off old memories but now he’s seen it up close and personal as an adult, I feel he will be able to paint a more accurate and meaningful artwork of it now. And I have a funny feeling who his partner for the art-psychology research will be 😏 Perhaps the worst person possible? Y/n? Or maybe I’m just thinking of the easiest answer... I can’t wait to find out nonetheless 🧐

yeah, so many relationships are falling apart rn jshwjshwjs but who knows how it'll turn out in the end, we still have a lot of time after all~

and the lia scene JSHWJSHSH poor girl just couldn't get a break. she's been rejected twice now— that conversation def have off second-hand embarrassment vibes jshwjshwhs

yeah, felix and jisung's arc has got to be one of the most heartbreaking ones ngl. their scumminess is by no means validated, but it makes them seem more like people y'know, and not just antagonists. i did say that i wasn't gonna go in too deep with felix's backstory so i more so just spilled his motives, i'm glad it seemed plentiful information enough!

and yes pLS let's ease on the jelly 💀🙏 nayeon and hyunjin definitely has more of a sibling-like relationship. it's shown with the way they're so comfy with each other and treat each other with familial care. it's definitely something that hyunjin needed, so having that support system around him is perfect because sometimes he's too prideful to ask for help from the kims.

Here are some of my thoughts regarding the post you made about thoughts/ideas for SLC !

Okay so, before I get into it, all of these are merely the result of my random ass brain trying it’s best 🥲 I hope maybe they’ll give you some inspiration or ideas of your own for the stories progression🤧

I’m not sure what you have planned for Hyunjin’s big reveal to Y/n about their past and why he hates her so much, but I feel it would be quite entertaining (also a possibility for more tension/juicy cliffhangers) if Hyunjin slowly started dropping little “hints” about the way he feels, perhaps things like a snide comment about her time overseas, and/or a passive aggressive remark about her being “selfish” for going on the trip through the school without being thoughtful for other students, or how she should of just paid to go instead... Little things that will no doubt be confusing to her, up until he can’t deal with her ignorance anymore and just word vomits the true reason for his long standing grudge, if we can call it that.

Of course, we all know Y/n had no idea that taking the trip had such a critical impact for Hyunjin... But perhaps she would start dwelling on that period of the past, maybe she would think he’s holding such a grudge because he simply didn’t win the trip? Or would she surprise us with some big brain moments and possibly start connecting a few small dots that pertain to Hyunjin’s mom and her death? But then she’d have to find out the year/time of year his mom died and that might be slightly difficult. OH!!!Unless, she asks a certain someone? Maybe someone that had to look into Hyunjins history? 👀 Maybe she could ask Jae? Or even Wonpil? (I don’t see her asking Hyunjin that’s for sure) I feel if she would be trying to connect the dots herself she would do it without Hyunjin’s knowledge you know ? Until she has all the pieces at least !

On a different note, I’m curious about how Ryujin’s momentary truce with Hyunjin will go 🧐 I feel she may discover he’s actually nice, that he’s tormented by a lot of past pains he has never truly dealt with. And that type of thing usually brings out some kind of empathy/compassion from those that are around, maybe Ryujin will develop a soft spot for him? Since they’re working on their own respective art forms together, I can picture Ryujin seeing a more emotional, passionate side of him that will surely have some kind of effect on her point of view, you know what I mean ? It’s always so endearing and heartfelt seeing someone so passionate and invested in what they love, even if you aren’t interested in being friendly with said person. Aagghhhh I can’t wait to see how the truce plays out for them😬

As for Seungmin & Y/n, will their falling out end up being permanent like Bibi mentioned? I mean, she has an extremely valid point, people that we know our whole childhood and teenage years can disappear as when go through adulthood, that’s part of growing up...However sad it may be. And it’s true that not everyone is meant to be a part of your life, perhaps they are for a brief time, but not everyone stays, no matter how badly we want them to. I feel for Seungmin to even consider forgiving Y/n, there may have to be huge moment between them? Or maybe it will be between Y/n and Hyunjin ? It could be in regards to Hyunjin healing from his past (which Y/n will play a part in) and then maybe we will see Seungmin reaching out to Y/n to thank her for helping his best friend ? And in turn he may end up forgiving her?

Before I forget, I’m not sure what you had planned between Hyunjin and his grandparents but i feel it would be really nice to see Hyunjin make some kind of amends with them. If he could find it in himself to build up the courage and explain what Jisung had done to him, simply because of both their fathers’ pasts, maybe his grandparent would understand, and finally see that Hyunjin and his father never wanted the families money at all, how Hyunjin never intended on those paintings being sold under his mother alias...

That’s all the idea’s i’ve pondered over so far, if I think of anymore I’ll send them in 🤓 I hope these are useful in any way, or maybe you’ve thought of all this already and my points are moot 😅 But nevertheless, I always enjoy sending them in 🥰

honestly this y/n x hyunjin confrontation has been eating me up but i'm slightly off to a better direction at least 😭🙏. another cat-and-mouse chase is definitely in act but there will also be a lot of new ~catalysts~ iykwim. y/n has tried asking jae before but jae himself said that y/n won't get anything from him, and that he respects hyunjin's privacy. so in the regard, the brother route will definitely be a deadend—and if jae won't tell. wonpil surely won't either. say what you want about these guys but they still have their morals intact 😩. either way, it's still gonna be a slow reveal, probably.

mhmm, the ryujin and hyunjin interaction is something that i've planned for a long time. idk, after their first interaction WAAAAYYYY back chapter 6(? the first written chapter), i thought that i didn't want to leave their relationship at that—seeing each other in a bad light. it's a bit of an odd pairing but i think ryujin is the best person to be around hyunjin rn. ryujin may be crass but she has high emotional intelligence that may be beneficial for hyunjin.

as for the seungmin route, ig we shall see 😌

hello!! i've been away for a while, hope you're doing well~

and ofc! talking is just fine too~ since i haven't really updated anything in a while ehehe.

JSHWJSHHS and yes, i can imagine that my immense flood of updates often bombard one's feed so it's noticeable when it's not there 🙈🙈

i've mostly been resting and exercising whilst i waited for my laptop charger to arrive so i can start writing again~ i have dance classes now so that's fun! 💕. i don't really watch a lot of kpop content outside of their music videos and dance practices since i'm not really that type of fan 😅 i rarely ever catch up on those things, so i haven't seen them, maybe in the far future i will but i never really sought them out.

it's also a way for me not to get my "writer's view" askewed by relying too much on their variety personas in terms of creating character tropes if that makes sense. like, i want to draw a line between fiction and reality so i don't want things to be too similar to each other.

and yup! i'm more active on the instagrams now, saw your follow hehe. the other anons also sorta migrated there to talk and whatnot~ it's just a fun place overall, we share a bunch of things there like personal lives or special teasers 👀🤌 so i've been mostly more active there due to convenience, it's also easier to talk about theories and whatnot because there's no inbox glitches unlike tumblr's asks. i'm back to writing now but i don't think i'd be posting any more behindfics here as much (like some teasers or clues or games), i'm moving it all there ❤️

On another note!

I’m quite proud of Lia for handling the whole situation with Jake so smoothly, although it may be hard for her (who’s to say it’s not hard to be rejected by your crush 🤧) It’s refreshing to see that go so well 👏🏼

And Seungmin ? Focusing on his school work instead of going to the party ? I have lingering feelings that this is more suspicious than it seems 👀 Or is he taking his punishment from his hyung seriously AGH it’s hard to say, I must say though....I see that little connection with the mystery person, they mentioned they were still thinking about going and here’s Seungmin trying to figure out if he’ll go 😩

and yeah, lia handled that rejection well. good sense of camaraderie probably from someone who's had a lot of experience with dating or perhaps she didn't really like jake too deeply in the first place (i mean, it hasn't even been a month 🙈)

hmmm seungmin huh 😏 inchresting. he's also been a bit passive with his friend group recently, maybe because he's busy with something else? hmmm~

also yes, wonpil encouraging seungmin to go to the party, maybe it's because seungmin showed his support in jake's showcase (in a tsundere way) and wonpil is rewarding him for being a good brother 🙈 or maybe there's some hidden agenda to it~

in the first place, we don't really know whether this partnership is just between two people. maybe there's someone else working behind the scenes or perhaps someone else they're secretly in contact with. felix is the "broker" and also the one who steals the artwork from time to time (because he's good at sneaking) the mystery person also seems to have a hand in stealing from time to time BUT we never really got the confirmation on whether or not they're also the appraiser, after all, they'd need to have a good eye for art to do that.

HYUNJIN’S BRIEF WALK THROUGH OF HIS BACK STORY????? I- 💔💔💔💔 He had such a difficult and lonely childhood, the behaviour we’ve seen is totally more understandable now, although it is not healthy or acceptable by any means of course. His father being so absent, even up to this point, can leave such a large, heavy imprint on any child’s mind, heart and personality but then add the hatred of his mother’s family and refusal of support I mean 😩😩😩😩😩 How incredibly heart broken he must have been growing up 😭 Had me screaming to my phone like, OH MY GAWD PRECIOUS DARLING LET ME HUG YOU FOREVER 😩

And then we finally catch a glimpse of his biggest reason for the true hatred towards Y/n, the trip abroad.... I’m gonna guess it was in relation to academic achievements with their school ? And Hyunjin was sure he was going?? But Y/n got it instead ?? Of course all the importance it held was unbeknownst to her😭😭 Maybe she just saw the trip abroad as another way for Hyunjin to try and one-up her?? Aaaahhhhh i’m reeling, it’s a wonderful (in a story-telling, enemies to lovers troupe, kind of way) emotional, vital part of the story and I really love that we got to learn it from a convo with his therapist👏🏼🤧 It brings the history and feelings to the reader in a calmer, more open-minded sense, than if it were to be spat out during an escalated fight between Hyunjin and Y/n (or someone else). You have done an such an excellent job with this story and I’m always eager for more 💖

Han and Felix’s convo was something I’m trying to wrap my head around, Felix even sees how it’s a bit off for Han to still seek out Y/n and Han says??? “If it works it works” 😳 ExCuSeZ mOi?? 🤨 UGH Istg I’m soooooo hoping she keeps her word to Seungmin about bailing on the date for Felix’s #.... And that brings me to my biggest WTF moment for the last chapter.....😑😑😑that was the question she chose to ask Felix 😑..... OuT oF ALL ThE qUeStIoNs ShE cOuLd HaVe AsKeD ? And now she owes FELIX?!?? I- I- I’m having trouble coping....Look, I can assume she has very valid reasons for asking about Seungmin, a reason maybe we aren’t 100% filled in on yet? BUT I almost wanna slap her atm, LIKE PLSSSS 💀💀 She was asking how Felix knew about chocolate, like WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT GOLDEN QUESTION BESTIE ??? WHERE DID IT GO? (although we already know how, sort of, when Felix “found”Hyunjin’s phone, I’m sure he’d be resourceful enough to find out who Choco’s # belonged to) BUT STILL . Akdbaksbdiwnsn

hello hello, hope you're well. i'm glad y'all like the spam uploads HSHWHSHW it's nearing the end of SLC week so i'm rolling em out. expect chapter 40 at the end of the week! <3

yes, hyunjin is def coping unhealthily but at the same time, he doesn't really know any better. at least we can be assured that he does wanna be better and that he is trying to improve and change for the good, even having a therapist to help him through it. at least he acknowledges that his father only wanted the best for him and to keep them afloat (even though that's what made him always gone) however, we don't know what happened between the two of them. it was shown that hyunjin thought his father was kind when he was younger but now they have this tense relationship and we can kinda tell that hyunjin doesn't like his dad anymore :,(

and yes, 😏😏 the catalyst for the e2l. i mean, in hindsight, it is pretty easy to guess what happened there. i feel really bad for hyunjin tho, like, it affected him so much that he projected it onto someone else. and you're right, it's better for him to walk through it in a calmer setting rather than bottling up his feelings and letting it explode. we stan non-toxic masculinity. as much as he may have some unhealthy coping mechanism, rest assured that he's aware of himself at least.

and dw about the length, i enjoy them all~

JSHWJSHW we're seeing more criminal convos now esp. since we know who's on the other side already. i suppose we'll slowly learn more about the WHYs of han jisung

i personally think the question that y/n asked was smart. it was broad yet precise. if she asked any other question like "who's chocolate" or "how did you get this information"—it'll be a dead end. this way, she'll know to rely on seungmin more from this point onwards. she's always in the dark, but now she feels a bit safer knowing that there's someone she can ask and trust that will be truthful (unless she doesn't trust felix's answer ofc~)

SO, MY GOSH some revelations in this part 😱 The teaser was...... I’m guessing the other person was...... ?Seungmin? and Felix ?!?!? STEALING ????? 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 I mean they are always close with Hyunjin, but I never took Seungmin for that kind of guy ? 👀 I would have never guessed, oh my gosh the art I’m blown away!!! What a sin for Hyunjin aagghhhhhh 😫 Besides that, I love that we get to hear from Candy, it’s so cute that they rant to each other and have the common grounds of “struggling artists” to bond over 🥺 Candy saying “sometimes I wish” 😳 I was screaming internally like....OOP- SAY IT BESTIE PLSS 🧎🏻‍♀️I’m taking a guess, that maybe he wishes they could see each other irl? Maybe ?? Or mAyBe he wants to know MoRe PeRsOnAl sTuFf AbOuT cHoCoLaTe ?? How are they gonna feel when they finally figure out Candy/Chocolate’s identity ??? 🔍 Definitely go into denial and possibly more anger ?? 🧐

I’m starting to get suspicious of Hyungseo, what could she want that may run the risk of Wonpil losing his job and pissing off Jae 🤨 Nothing good of course but WhAt ? Is it information she shouldn’t have? dRuGs? (doubtful but ?maybe?) Is it something to do with Y/n? Or Hyunjin ???? 😧

Aagghhhh so many questions, but I love it that way 👏🏼❣️ Also Jake going after Ryujin is just so adorable I hope it goes well 🤧🤧
