What I would give for a SWTOR update that’s just basegame housekeeping. I want to go look at the patch notes and just see “we brought the aesthetic level design up to par with recent DLC, fixed those two camps on Balmorra with the swapped quest markers so you no longer have to walk all the way around a goddamn mountain every time when you inevitably forget, and Vette’s shock collar actually comes off now. Also you can be gay.”

the mindless animals: [have members with a healing mechanic, implying that they are not only capable of reason and compassion but also at least intelligent enough to have developed their own medical science, and perhaps the only reason I can’t negotiate with them is because bioware thinks dumping trash mobs everywhere is an adequate replacement for pacing the story]

the great thing about swtor is bioware is bad at de-escalating so you reach a point where the death star seems a lot less impressive because apparently 4000 years before that they were swatting down a planet-destroying machine-god every other week.

hearing these three low health dialogues in succession drove me to somehow successfully murder an entire room’s worth of accidentally aggro’d battle droids and one jedi master while underleveled and around 1/4 of my own health.

so technically I guess there’s something to be said for sith philosophy.

saw someone in general chat tonight refer to Quinn as a power bottom and on the one hand everyone is entitled to their interpretations of characters and all headcanons are valid, but on the other hand he absoLUTELY is not have you ever interacted with him

Playing a light side Sith Inquisitor is a wild time y’all.

Really love how they just throw every single good plotline in act 1 completely out the window in favor of "you’re the goth scooby gang now, and this guy wants to kill you for being a millennial.”

that one quest on tython where you have to go investigate the padawans who are in love and decide whether to lie about it bothers me so much because there are ways you could make it interesting from an rp perspective but instead it’s like. yeah there is very clearly a right and a wrong choice here but the problem isn’t that they’re in love and that’s against the code, it’s that they couldn’t more obviously be evil about it.

it doesn’t help that bioware’s character design choices are so consistent that every ‘secretly’ evil character sticks out like the one animated floorboard in a cartoon, but even without that it’s like. idk my consular who has shall we say an open relationship with the jedi code and is hopelessly susceptible to sob stories probably would keep their secret except they immediately try to bribe him and briefly look like they’re considering murder to keep him quiet so YEAH EVEN HE’S GONNA TELL ON THEM AFTER THAT.
