Only daughter of five here, and the second oldest kid in the family. Parentified since forever and still pulling the most emotional labor.
Stoutly disagree on this.
No guilt tripped knifeboi here for me. No.
Give me a dependable, sassy, easy-breezy, focused, quick thinking, efficient guy who is in the background making sure my oil’s changed, all schedule’s are completed, he’s done the taxes already, and we’re going out to dinner because he found a Groupon for a kid- friendly restaurant.
“Focus on your work, baby, it’s under control.”
Give me….this myopic dingaling with his Receding Hairline of Glory.

Tech as a father Chapter 1
So this is a first time post, as I also have no Idea about how tumblr posts kinda work. But I had this Idea brewing and saved in my folders for way to long, and it is very long, so why not give it a shot.
And It is about how Tech (actually very self insert) had a secret rlationship with a Jedi Healer, and accidents happen. How they managed to keep it secret, and he helped during the birth. While she as painfull as it was, decided to move to a temple far off, to hide the connecton.
Chapter 1: The tiny surprise
The rain fell relentlessly on Kamino, creating a symphony of soft taps against the metallic structures of the facility. The murky clouds veiled the moon, casting an eerie glow over Clone Force 99's quarters. In the midst of the downpour, Tech stood at the entrance, cradling a bundle in his arms, his usually impeccable uniform now glistening from the rain in the sterile light on Tipoca City, his blacks beneath clinging to his form. He took a deep breath, adjusting his grip on the bundle. Inside, little Orion slept soundly, a serene expression on his face that belied the storm outside. Tech had meticulously wrapped him in layers to keep him warm and dry. His keen analytical mind had calculated every detail, ensuring his son's comfort and safety.
As Tech stepped further into the squads’ barracks, the soft conversations of his brothers greeted him. The room was dimly lit, the workstation illuminated by the glow of holographic screen and the subtle blinking of devices. Tech's bunk was situated near the corner, adjacent to the workbench where his projects sprawled. With gentle precision, he made his way toward his bunk, heart pounding with a mixture of anticipation and anxiety. Hunter, Echo, Wrecker, and Crosshair glanced up from their own activities, their expressions morphing from confusion to surprise. The tinkerer of the squad, the one known for his unyielding focus on his gadgets, was holding something... alive?
Tech approached his bunk, careful not to disturb Orion's slumber. With practiced ease, he arranged the bundle in a small, makeshift crib he had fashioned from spare materials. He had calculated the dimensions meticulously, ensuring a snug fit that would let him sleep beside his son. Hunter was the first to speak, his voice tinged with a mix of disbelief and curiosity. "Tech, what's...?"
Tech cut him off with a quiet gesture, his eyes softening as they met Hunter's gaze. He glanced down at Orion, his fingers brushing against the baby's cheek. "This is Orion," he said, his voice a whisper in the stillness of the room. "My son." The squad exchanged glances, their confusion deepening as they tried to process the unexpected revelation. Echo leaned forward, squinting to get a better look at the bundle. "Why is he... here?" Echo finally managed to ask, his voice reflecting the bafflement of the others.
Tech hesitated for a moment, his analytical mind racing to find the right words. "Orion is mine. I will be raising him as his father," he explained, his tone steady despite the emotions that churned beneath the surface. Wrecker scratched his head, a slow grin forming. "Wait, you mean you're like... his dad-dad?" he asked, his brown eyes wide with realization. Tech nodded, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Yes, that's correct."
Crosshair remained quiet, his arms crossed as he observed the scene. His expression was inscrutable, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes, perhaps understanding, hidden behind his usual cool exterior. As the rain continued to patter against the windows, a new warmth seemed to fill the room. The squad members exchanged glances once more, this time with a mixture of surprise, support, and a touch of affection. Tech's careful planning and unexpected announcement had brought them all closer to understanding the complexity of his character, beyond the gadgets and data.
And so, in the midst of the rain's gentle rhythm, Tech settled down beside Orion's makeshift crib, ready to embrace the role of a father, even as his brothers slowly tried to comprehend the depth of his hidden life beyond the battlefield.

Oops this is happening 😳. Sorry that I keep posting wips (blugh and scheduled ones, no less), but HE is constantly on my brain! !!
TBB S3 Spoiler comment: Because the “shadow” took a ROYAL beating in 3x7, and if “The damage [Echo] sustained on Skako Minor most likely wiped out all of [his] preset behavioral modifications,” then maybe… just maybe X trooper training won’t stick … my tinfoil hat is vibrating 🙏🏼😬.

Chapter 4: Little soldier
The call to a mission came unexpectedly, shaking the quiet routine of Clone Force 99's barracks. As the klaxons blared, the squad members scrambled to gather their gear and assemble in the hangar bay. Tech was no exception, but there was an extra factor to consider this time: Orion, his son just about a month old, sound asleep in the carrier on his chest. Tech's analytical mind raced as he made his way to the ship. There was a distinct tug of responsibility in his thoughts, an inexplicable sense that he needed to bring Orion along. He couldn't pinpoint the exact reason for this feeling, but his calculations told him that it was crucial for Orion to be with him. Be it because of the Kaminoans or something entirely different.
Hunter, standing at the entrance to the Havoc Marauder, glanced at Tech with a raised eyebrow. "Tech, is Orion coming with us?" Tech adjusted his goggles and nodded, his gaze steady. "Yes, Hunter. It appears that it is imperative for Orion to accompany us on this mission." Hunter's expression shifted from confusion to understanding, recognizing that Tech's decision wasn't arbitrary. The squad members exchanged glances, and Hunter gestured for Tech to board the ship. As they settled into their seats on the Marauder, Echo couldn't help but voice the question on everyone's mind. "Tech, why is Orion here? Is this some new strategy?"
Tech's fingers traced a gentle pattern on Orion's back as he explained, and prepared the ship to take off. "My calculations indicate that Orion's presence is significant for this mission. While I cannot provide a precise explanation, I believe his inclusion is integral to its success." Crosshair's scepticism was evident as he quirked an eyebrow. "You're going off instincts now, Tech?" Tech shook his head slightly. "Not instincts. It's a logical assessment based on patterns and data, even if the specific reasons remain elusive." Crosshair chewing on his toothpick, listening to what his brother claims. Logical… but he has no reason to why? Seems like his brother is getting soft.
The ship's engines hummed as it lifted off the ground, carrying Clone Force 99 into the unknown. The mission unfolded with its own challenges, and Tech's attention was divided between his usual calculations and ensuring Orion's well-being. As the squad battled through their objectives, Tech's determination to protect Orion became evident to the others. Whether it was positioning himself to shield the carrier from blaster fire or taking quick detours to ensure Orion's safety, Tech's commitment was unwavering.
When the mission concluded, and they returned to their ship, Orion remained peacefully asleep against Tech's chest. As the squad disembarked, Echo approached Tech, a small smile on his face. "Well, Tech, your intuition was right. Orion seemed to be a lucky charm on this one." “As if we ever needed that” Wrecker laughs loud with a grin tagging along behind his brothers. Tech adjusted his goggles and nodded, his grip on the carrier relaxing now that the mission was over. "It's reassuring to know that my calculations led us in the right direction. If needed or not"
As the mission concluded, Clone Force 99 returned to the Marauder and prepare to return to Kamino, or another mission if needed, a sense of accomplishment hanging in the air. However, there was an undercurrent of curiosity among the squad members about why Tech had brought Orion with him on the mission. The idea that Tech had acted on a fatherly instinct began to take root in their minds. As they settled into the cockpit, Echo couldn't help but voice what everyone was thinking. "Tech, we couldn't help but notice that Orion's presence seemed to guide you during the mission. Was that a fatherly instinct kicking in?"
Tech, adjusting his goggles, looked at Orion who was now awake and alert. He paused for a moment, then nodded. "It appears that there might have been an instinctual component to my decision, yes. My calculations indicated that having Orion with us would be beneficial, although the exact reason was not immediately clear." Wrecker grinned, his eyes lighting up with understanding. "So, your dad senses kicked in!" Crosshair smirked, his arms crossed. "Guess the numbers didn't account for fatherly intuition, huh?" Tech's lips curved into a faint smile. "Indeed, it seems my calculations have room for improvement in that area."
The conversation was interrupted by a subtle noise, Orion's tiny yawn. Either he is awake or asleep at the moment there is nearly no in between. It was a sound that caught the squad's attention, prompting them to look closer. To their surprise, they noticed small ear cuffs nestled in the tiny ears of Orion, glittering in the soft light. Hunter leaned in, his brow furrowing in realization. "Wait a minute... those ear cuffs. You used them to dampen the noise for Orion, didn't you?"
Tech nodded, his gaze on Orion as he carefully removed the ear cuffs from his son's ears. "Yes, I modified these to reduce ambient noise levels. It seems Orion's sleep was less disturbed due to this adjustment." Wrecker let out a low whistle. "No wonder he stayed asleep through all the action. Good thinking, Tech!" Echo chuckled, shaking his head in amazement. "Leave it to Tech to devise a solution on the fly."
As Tech removed the ear cuffs, Orion blinked up at the squad members with his wide blue eyes, seemingly unperturbed by the attention. The realization that Tech had been proactive in ensuring Orion's comfort left the squad members with a newfound respect for his dedication as a father. And Tech quickly removed one of his gloves so he could run his knuckle along Orion’s cheek. As the conversation continued, it was clear that the bond between Tech and his brothers had deepened further. The unique challenges they faced as both soldiers and makeshift family members continued to shape their interactions, underscoring the strength of their connection.
When the autopilot is set to bring them through the hyperspace back to Kamino, Tech quickly checks a few things on his datapad. Walking to the small kitchenette in the ship while tapping along on his datapad, going over the data from the mission. Before storing it back in his pouch and preparing a bottle of formula.
One night, in the early morning hours, Orion's fussiness seemed to intensify. Tech, his brow furrowed in concern, cradled the baby in his arms, trying to soothe him. The soft glow of the dim lighting illuminated the small space they occupied. Sitting up in his bunk he gladly shares with his son, moving the breastfeeding pillow, which was curved for Orion to sleep in, so he can lean against it. Checking if it is time for a diaper change, but they seem to be in order.
Tech's keen analytical mind went into overdrive, searching for a solution. So to not disturb the sleep of his brothers he quickly gets up and leaves the barracks. Not even caring that he simply wears a t-shirt and sweatpants, not even bothered that he is barefoot. As he glanced around the sterile hallway and empty rooms, his gaze fell upon a pile of old and discarded armour pieces from the regular clone troopers. An idea began to form, and he carefully shifted Orion to one arm as he collected the armour pieces. And returns to the barracks, as Orion seems to have stopped being fussy. And his blue eyes fixed on what his father is doing, even if Orion is not able to comprehend it. But simply being rocked and carried around by Tech, did the trick to calm him down, even if just for a bit. But as soon as he returned Orion started again when Tech sat down on his work bench.
With careful precision, Tech began to assemble a tiny makeshift helmet and armour pieces, crafting them to fit Orion's small form. His fingers moved with a sense of purpose, shaping and securing each piece into place. The project was meticulous and time consuming, but Tech's determination never wavered. Tech sits with crossed legs on his workbench, while being hyper focused on his task, and Orion is nestled secure in his lap. Orion did become fussy again, and even rejected the offered bottle.
After a while, Tech held up the finished product, a tiny set of armour that mirrored the distinct look of Clone Force 99's armour. He carefully placed the helmet on Orion's head and fitted the armour pieces onto his little body. Orion's fussiness seemed to subside as the weight and sensation of the armour provided a sense of security.
Echo, who had been observing the entire process from a distance since he woke up, couldn't help but chuckle. "Tech, I've seen you fashion some impressive gadgets, but this takes the cake." Tech's gaze remained on Orion, a faint smile on his lips. "It appears that a sense of familiarity and comfort can extend beyond just humans." The rest of the squad gathered around, their expressions a mix of amusement and amazement. Wrecker grinned and patted Tech on the back. "Look at that, little buddy's all suited up!" Crosshair's smirk softened into a small smile, which he would never admit and blame on just waking up. "Guess he's an honorary member of the squad now." Hunter approached, his eyes warm as he looked at the tiny figure in the armour. "Tech, you never cease to surprise us."
As they continued to admire the sight of Orion peacefully nestled in his miniature armour, the makeshift family of Clone Force 99 found themselves once again reminded of the unique and heart-warming ways in which they were all connected. The simple act of crafting a tiny set of armour became a symbol of Tech's dedication as a father and his unwavering commitment to ensuring Orion's well-being, even in the most unexpected of circumstances.
