Formula 1 driver Yusuf "Joe" Kaysani has just signed with Old Guard Racing, under the management of Team Principal Andromache Scythian. Like in any new partnership, there's edges to file down to fit and roles to coordinate so it all goes smoothly. In between those questions is the matter of who will be his new race engineer and run comms for him during races. It's a big ask that needs a delicate balance, it can't be just anyone. Engineer Nicolò di Genova has been working at Old Guard Racing for a few years, putting his analytical mind to good use filing down milliseconds off their lap times. He's been content with his work behind the scenes, only briefly stepping into the spotlight when the occasion called for it. Despite the sport's unpredictability, it's been good steady work, surely this new partnership won't change things much for him. Or: Joe runs his mouth when high on adrenaline, Nicky's voice is soothing, and a lot of things can happen in a single F1 season.

Can the demo be played on all browsers? Or only certain browsers like Chome, Edge etc. This is probably just an isolated incident (me, I'm the incident lol) but it doesn't work on the browser I currently use: Firefox. It's probably just me though, if it works on firefox then you can ignore this ^^

Hi Anon! I think I know what you mean! Is your error "no valid storage adapters found"?

Technically it should be able to, but you're likely using Firefox for its added privacy benefits. In that case, it's probably because you've disabled your cookies.

I believe that's because of the way saves work, as those saves are obviously not stored on your local hard drive.

You might want to allow cookies if you are set on running it in Firefox. I also get this error using Chrome Incognito because of, again, disabled cookies.

If that's not the error, then I'd be happy to investigate if you give me more details! Thanks for sending an ask 💕💕

so like five years ago or something, (ugh, time), I started an epistolary fic for @pameluke that I have not updated in, well, several years. (brains! little fuckers are very uncooperative, what can I say?)

It subsequently became the most popular thing I've ever written by several of AO3's potential metrics, which is neat! But... pressure-ish? Regardless, it would be nice to actually, uh. Finish the damn thing someday.

And in the interests of getting the voices in my head to engage with it so I can finish, I am attempting to adapt some public workskins on ao3 into email & texting screens and I will (hopefully) be updating said fic with fun formatting whenever I do actually finish & post the last couple chapters.

BUT!

I have a visual/clarity question re: texts and group chats

This is roughly what texting looks like currently, (and will still pretty much look if you turn off AO3 workskins and/or download the fic in an ebook format):

Now, the reason it says "Cat" on top, is because that's the contact name in the header of the phone screen, which currently looks like this:

Now, in the original draft Cat didn't say "Magnus" there, because his name was there in the label so I didn't need it. BUT, this is the first phone screen in the fic, so I figured I should include it for clarity.

Contextually, as the fic continues, I assume one will generally be able to tell who is texting whom, but I could, (even tho it would not be as phone-like) put in names so it's clearer:

But it looks kind of weird when it's just two people talking back and forth. (It's not like my phone puts my name over my own texts, yk?)

Not having all the names might be confusing, but I CANNOT TELL ANYMORE? aesthetic vs clarity? SOMETHINGSOEMTHING?

The only real downside to just putting the names in is that it causes some weird spacing in the download/non-skin version, because the name tags are no longer visible but there is, afaik, no way to fit them in properly without leaving the space for them, if that makes sense:

ALTERNATIVELY, I could change the headers so they're informational rather than a visual part of the phone screen, for example, the first text up there would be something like "Magnus' Phone (texting Cat)" and then the group chats would be, idk, "Alec's Phone, The Hedge" etc. etc.

OR ALTERNATIVELY ALTERNATIVELY... I could do... something else that I haven't thought up yet? I guess? *shrug.emoji*

HELP ME TUMBLR, YOU'RE MY ONLY HOPE:

Like, sometimes the nametag on the right of the phone screen doesn't work and I haven't figured out why yet. I am having a similar problem with the phone screen headers not resizing on different screens, which is why they're not a contrasting color or bordered or anything at the moment, so you can't tell.

/It's still wrong though, and I know it, even if I can't see it. It's like my phone screen is judging me every time I look at them... 🤣🤣🤣

….so is anyone else having this issue and is there a fix without sending my switch in for servicing? no matter how hard I try it won’t hold a full input for very long, and it won’t even work in the forward direction. this is making it a PAIN to play any game, given how most games need you to walk at least a bit

I can't believe I never thought to figure this out.

I tried to fix this, but I accidentally ended up deleting my game files, because I'm a dumbass, but I fixed it soon afterwards!

Limbus Company Has Been Blue-screening My Computer as of Late when I try to boot it up, what should I do?

As of Late I have been having notable difficulties booting up Limbus Company. Sometimes it wouldn't boot up at all until I shut down steam. Sometimes it would just crash upon hitting play, and overall that game has been getting more and more unstable for me. I noticed these "unstable periods" would usually the most during update periods, whether that be the game, Steam, or even my Laptop. During these "unstable periods" I would be completely unable of booting up the game and would have to wait until the next day before being able to log on. This all came to ahead when, for the second time, this game has blue-screened my entire computer, forcing me to restart it. This was the final straw for me and has left me genuinely worried over this game potentially bricking my PC.

This is a massive dilemma for me as Project Moon's world and Characters are deeply important to me. I have bought & enjoyed all of their previous games and have purchased the two currently released Battlepasses for Limbus Company as a sign of my support for Project moon. So being asked to give all of that up for fear of permanently damaging my PC and much of my livelihood is deeply unsettling. What's more is that I've never run into a problem like this, especially not in its severity. So if someone could please help me figure out how to fix things, what's going on, or even who to contact to answer these questions. that would be much appreciated.

I love the added content!

I didn't change anything in my previous answers since the options already provided were in line with my MC's personality, but the new scenes were enjoyable!

I had just one small problem, during the scene where we can determine changes in our MC's appeareance: My MC has white hair and I've selected for it not to have changed. But then when I have to select new traits that appeared, the "hair streak" is specifically mentionned to be white… which wouldn't be visible then. Maybe it could be a different color if the hair is already white, or simply up to player's choice regardless of the hair color? Unless there is a specific reason for it to be white and not any other color? But in this case wouldn't it be better to remove this option altogether for white haired MCs?

It's not a big issue obviously, but still worth mentionning I guess?

Oops, yes! I forgot that white-haired MCs exist (which, I shouldn't -- because a lot of people picked white for theirs)! I'm not sure why I kept it as white streak when I was originally going to make it just an "abnormal" streak of hair, so I'll fix it to that instead!

Otherwise, thanks so much for liking the added content!! 🥺 Of course, the new options cater to a specific group of MCs, but I always added the back button for nosy readers like some of my friends who want to test out the different choices, even if it didn't fit their character.
