Logo Research
For this marketing piece, I had to research 6 logos of famous brands and decide what i liked/disliked about each one. I chose to research about: Apple, Chanel, Jaguar, Versace, Disney and H&M, I chose these brands as they are from a mix of industries, for example: Technology, Cars, Entertainment and Fashion. Most of these brands have very distinctive, recognisable logos, having a logo that is easily recognisable is important as it helps with the memorability of the brand, it also helps when your logo is also easy to describe. I think that most of these fit those requirements of having a good logo, especially brands like Apple and Chanel, however, I think that Versace's logo has a good design concept and backstory, but I don't think it is a very memorable/ recognisable logo.

A Brand's Journey: How It Impacts Your Car's Resale Journey
Selling a car is a journey, one that can be filled with excitement, apprehension, and uncertainty. Whether you're upgrading to a new vehicle or simply parting ways with an old faithful, the decision to sell your car is a significant one. It's not just about finding the right buyer or negotiating the best deal; it's also about understanding how the brand of your car impacts its resale value.
At Wreckery, as the top car wreckers company in QLD, we've witnessed countless cars go through their resale journeys. In this article, we'll explore how a car's brand can affect its resale value, helping you make informed decisions when it's time to sell your vehicle.
The Power of Brand Reputation
When we talk about a car's brand, we're not just referring to the manufacturer's logo on the front grille. A car brand encompasses a reputation that has been carefully cultivated over years or even decades. This reputation is built on several factors, including:
Reliability: Some car brands have become synonymous with reliability. Owners of Toyota, Honda, and Subaru vehicles, for example, often enjoy peace of mind knowing that their cars are built to last.
Performance: Performance-oriented brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche are known for delivering exhilarating driving experiences. Their cars often hold their value well due to their engineering and handling prowess.
Luxury: Luxury car brands such as Audi, Lexus, and Jaguar offer premium features and a level of comfort that appeals to discerning buyers. These vehicles tend to retain their value because of their high-end appeal.
Resale Value: Brands like Subaru, Honda, and Toyota consistently receive high marks for their strong resale value. Buyers are willing to pay a premium for cars that hold their worth over time.
Innovation: Brands like Tesla have changed the automotive landscape by introducing electric vehicles (EVs) and innovative technologies. These brands often attract tech-savvy buyers willing to invest in the latest advancements.
The Impact of Brand on Resale Value
Now that we've established how a brand's reputation is built, let's dive deeper into how it affects your car's resale journey.
Resale Value Retention
Certain brands are known for retaining their value exceptionally well. When you own a vehicle from one of these brands, you can expect a higher resale value when it's time to sell or trade it in. For example, Toyota's reputation for reliability has made its cars highly sought after in the used car market, contributing to strong resale values.
Market Demand
Brands with a loyal customer base often have a more stable demand in the used car market. This means your car is more likely to find a buyer quickly and at a reasonable price. Brands like Honda and Subaru have cultivated strong followings, ensuring a steady market for their used vehicles.
Pricing Flexibility
If you own a car from a prestigious or luxury brand, you may have more flexibility in pricing your vehicle. Luxury vehicles tend to have higher profit margins, allowing you to set a competitive price while still getting a good return on your investment.
Desirability
Some car brands simply evoke a sense of desirability. Owning a car from a desirable brand can make your vehicle stand out in the used car market. Brands like BMW and Audi often attract buyers looking for a premium driving experience.
Competition
The brand of your car can also influence the level of competition you face when selling it. If you're selling a vehicle from a brand with a strong presence in the market, you may face more competition from other sellers. However, this can also lead to a higher demand and potentially better offers.
Brand Versus Vehicle Model
While a brand's reputation is essential, it's important to note that not all models within a brand's lineup will have the same resale value. The specific model, its age, mileage, condition, and maintenance history also play crucial roles in determining resale value. For example, a well-maintained Toyota Corolla may have a different resale value than a Toyota Land Cruiser.
How to Leverage Brand Reputation for a Better Resale
Now that we've discussed the impact of brand reputation on resale value, let's explore how you can leverage this knowledge to your advantage when selling your car.
Keep Up with Maintenance: To maximize resale value, ensure your car receives regular maintenance. A well-maintained vehicle from a reputable brand is more likely to fetch a higher price.
Maintain Service Records: Keep records of all your car's service and repair history. This demonstrates to potential buyers that the car has been well taken care of, enhancing its resale appeal.
Market Your Brand: When creating your sales listing, emphasize the positive aspects of your car's brand. Highlight any awards, accolades, or notable features associated with the brand.
Set a Competitive Price: Research the market value of your car and price it competitively. Understanding your brand's reputation can help you determine a fair asking price.
Use Brand-Specific Selling Points: Mention any brand-specific selling points, such as advanced safety features, fuel efficiency, or a history of reliability, in your listing.

Conclusion
As the top car wreckers company in QLD, we've seen firsthand how a car's brand can significantly impact its resale journey. Whether you own a reliable Toyota, a high-performance BMW, or a luxurious Mercedes-Benz, your car's brand plays a crucial role in its resale value. By understanding the power of brand reputation and leveraging it effectively, you can navigate the resale process with confidence and secure the best possible value for your vehicle. Remember that while brand reputation is essential, the specific model, condition, and maintenance of your car also influence its resale value.

Red Bull Racing Ford Announce Formula 1 Engine Partnership Starting from 2026 Season
Davide Bonaldo/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images
Formula One announced Friday that Ford will return to the sport in a partnership with Red Bull Racing, beginning in 2026.
According to ESPN's Laurence Edmondson, it will mark Ford's first involvement in F1 since selling its Jaguar team to Red Bull in 2004.
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali released a statement on Ford's impending return, saying:
"The news today that Ford is coming to Formula One from 2026 is great for the sport and we are excited to see them join the incredible automotive partners already in Formula One. They are a global brand with an incredible heritage in the racing and automotive world and they see the huge value that our platform provides with over half a billion fans around the world.
"Our commitment to be Net Zero Carbon by 2030 and to introduce sustainable fuels in the F1 cars from 2026 is also an important reason for their decision to enter F1. We believe that our sport provides the opportunity and reach unlike any other and we cannot wait for the Ford logo to be racing round F1's iconic circuits from 2026."
Per Edmondson, the partnership between Red Bull and Ford will largely be focused on the team's power unit since Honda decided to leave Formula 1 in 2020.
Red Bull Racing will continue to use Honda engines through the 2025 season after the Japanese manufacturer decided to continue the relationship with the team. Beginning in 2026 however, it will make the switch to Ford.
Ford and Red Bull Powertrains will work together at the team factory to meet the new engine regulations F1 is implementing in 2026. Ford stated in a press release that they "will provide expertise in areas including battery cell and electric motor technology as well as power unit control software and analytics" and "combustion engine development."
Red Bull has established itself as the dominant team in F1 over the past two seasons, as driver Max Verstappen has won each of the past two World Driver's Championships. It also won its first Constructors Championship since 2013 in 2022.
A Mercedes driver had won seven straight championships before Verstappen's back-to-back titles, but Red Bull is back atop the sport and it has an exciting new partnership lined up with one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world.

Space Pirate Broadcasting Station
Space Pirates Channel
Trade Name: None
Number of Employees: Unknown
Work Motto: We are the voice of Truth
They're an illegal (also unlicensed by the Space Broadcasting Association) channel that doesn't focus on earning money, so not that many people have heard about it. However, their recent reports are well documented and known for providing honest information. They're amazing. Viewers who admire Jaguar often want to become a member. But even we don't know how to manage that. We just don't know.
Lead Reporter (?) of the Space Pirate Broadcasting Station
JAGUAR (jagā)
BIRTH: 2464
BLOOD: AB
GENDER: MALE
35 years old. Leader and reporter of the Space Pirate Broadcasting System. Rumor has it that Jaguar was once a Space Channel 5 reporter, but was fried after discovering that the spaceship accident was setup by Blank. If that's true, then it's understandable why he decided to continue reporting as a Space Pirate to reveal the truth. It also appears that the hero of that tragedy, who is being chased by the entire Space Broadcasting world, resembles Ulala's first crush.
Space Pirates Broadcasting Ship: Bad Tuning
bad tuning
The Space Pirate's base of operations and where they broadcast illegal radio waves. Many of the Space Pirates actually live there. It has a streamlined hull, and though the operation system is an old manual type, it still provides excellent performance. The mysterious logo is super funky!
Program check! check!
"Emergency Special News Programs" are broadcasted by everyone (each channel covers their own version of accidents), however, if you don't trust those broadcasters when a suspicious accident happens, be sure to tune into other radio frequencies! Other scoundrels like Blank will never be tolerated! No hearsay!
Jaguar 64
Apparently, during "Urgent Special News Programs" a short film about Jaguar plays between certain broadcasts? It has no official title, but is unofficially titled as Jaguar and his year of birth.
[Translator’s note: The Space Pirate’s motto is the same thing Jaguar says i Japanese when after the others say his name .]
p.33

For a channel that has every type of genre, Channel 01 actually plays a lot of sports and music. And of course, their perfectly scheduled news. The "7 o'clock Space News" staring Mr. Tachibana is always a classic!
Life's Q and A
Mr. Tachibana's "Life's Questions and Answers" is a segment where he answers callers and gives them advice, it's very popular. It has overwhelming support from people in their 40s!

Ulala VS Pudding
Super Big Funky Project Dialogue
Ulala (ch5) x Pudding (ch42)
The long-awaited talk between the two who have the greatest rivalry between popularity of viewers, has finally been made a reality! Why did these two become reporters? Will they find love in the end!? Ranging from work to their private life, we present to you their deep conversations.
p.35
Ulala: Pudding has a reporter’s spirit after all, huh?
-
Pudding: Ulala, thank you for helping me at the Morolian Secret Base. I really appreciated it.
Ulala: Huh? But when you said "I could use a hand here" it didn't sound that sincere.
Pudding: That's because I couldn't decide if I wanted your help! And you seeing me be forced to dance that freaky dance was so embarrassing!
Ulala: Settle down, settle down. By the way, Pudding, how has work been lately?
Pudding: It's been going good. I've got a new single being released.
Ulala: Hey now, that's wonderful! A reporter who's able to both sing and dance. Hey Pudding, didn't you used to be an idol? Ever thought of making another debut performance? And why did you decide to quit being an idol?
Pudding: Oh! Well… I wanted a change of careers. When I was an idol, I sold a lot of records, so the publishers gave me the okay. What about you Ulala, why did you become a reporter?
Ulala: Oh, right. Mm… The reason why I became a reporter. It's a bit of a long story, is that alright? Ten years ago, I was thrown into space during a spaceship accident. There was a reporter who saved me during that time, so I wanted to find that person again. I wanted to thank that reporter and tell him how grateful I am for rescuing me, that's why I joined Channel 5 when I heard he used to report here. I still sometimes find myself wondering who that reporter could've been.
Pudding: Hmm. So, it's like your first crush.
Ulala: Uuh, I guess. Anyways, I was so curious that I went through old recordings, but for some reason they were all erased. I also feel like I've met someone similar to that person recently, who was it again?
Pudding: Maybe it's Jaguar! Haha, just kidding ~.
Ulala: I think I'll remember when I meet that person again. It's definitely not the director, who's always complaining about me and yelling at me, or Blank since he's in prison. And definitely not Space Michael, he's way too old.
Pudding: Huh!? S-seriously? …Then it's-!
Ulala: Pudding, why are you so riled up?
Pudding: No, no, it's nothing. Yep, hmm, nothing at all…
Ulala: It's hard to remember details of an old memory from such a difficult time. By the way, do you have a boyfriend?
Pudding: No way! If I did, then I'd be constantly chased by those weekly magazine paparazzi! Plus, don't you think that my bodyguards, who have been with me for ten years, would be so sad if I did that, too?
Ulala: I understand. I guess you still have that idol image to uphold. It must be difficult.
Pudding: Augh, please stop bringing up my past as an idol!
Ulala: Okay, okay. I'll change the subject, is there anyone in another broadcasting station that you admire? My choice is 88MAN. Being able to calmly broadcast in something dangerous like a gas cloud is really impressive.
Pudding: Hmmm. You might not believe me when I say this, but I often watch soccer on Space Sports 1. And the Space Cup, which Channel 01 broadcasts to the whole galaxy. I really enjoy watching Tachibana's live performances before the show starts too. And I like talking about the broadcast "November, 2499, the Mars Stadium. Is There a Way for This Red-Stained Team to Reach the Space Cup Finals!?" but whenever I watch it, it makes me tear up. It's only at times like this that I regret my choice of style with my broadcasting programs~.
Ulala: Pudding, you have a reporter's spirit after all. I can see it within you.
Pudding: Naturally, since we're both great reporters. But looks like it’s the end of the interview. Let's both do our best to support one and another!
-
Pudding: Being forced to dance that freaky dance was so embarrassing.

POSTPRODUCTION
In this page I will include any piece of work I’ve created mostly with marketing or brand design purposes during the process.
EDITING SOUND
For sound I made sure to use professionally made sound effects to enhance the quality and veracity of the situation, so from the sound made when grabbing the knife even to the birds chirping, these were all taken from sound effect specialized YouTube accounts such as
- Sound Library
- ProSound Effects
- Music & Sounds Effect Library
- All Sounds
- SOUND and IMAGE FX
- Sound Effect Database
- Isolation Music
For my non-diegetic background music, I used tracks free of Copyright by the author Sunshant Sonawale (used during the fighting scenes) and a piano piece by Valerio Velardo (who himself expressed that he had made this tune with the purpose of depicting an obsessive mind state, perfectly according with my main character’s paranoid state of mind).
BRAND LOGO
I’ts important that I acknowledge that I have to make this coursework with the idea that it will then be demonstrated on an official fake company web page. Thus, I decided to come up with a company logo that would fit the standards of the project.
Firstly, I believed it’d be appropriate to make this company niche, since I believe my film contains elements that aren’t exactly part of a mainstream audience, which would be big special effects, extravagant editing or use of high end technological for example. Thus, I believe a logo has to exactly reflect this idea too. Furthermore, my target audience would average around the group of teenagers and young adults. This is so since I believe the concept portrayed in my short film may be more understood by the younger generation who seems to be more in touch with naturally analysing a piece of media, and take out the important social messages attached (which, as I explained in the research + analysis tab, in my case would be the protest against the expectation of women to stay in the house and attend to everything their partner puts them through).
After knowing the nature of my company as well as my target audience, I analysed such group of people through social media to understand their tastes and interests at the moment.
I noticed that animal videos or pictures where very prone to acquire a very big amount of viewing and likes, such as these videos from TikTok (the most used platform by teens and young adults worldwide)
PIC
Therefore, I decided to focus on making a logo that’d include an animal, mainly inspired by the film company Metro Goodwin Mayer, with it’s iconic roaring golden lion.
These are some of the logos in the industries that represent an animal. However, I noticed that most of the companies which have their target audience as adults or older showcase a variety of big and strong animals, like, for example, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Lacoste, Polo Ralph Lauren, etc. Thus, I believe that using a smaller and gentler animal will mean that my target audience which meet those criteria will relate more to my company (such as for example, Twitter’s logo is a bird, a social media platform that harbours most of my target audience too). After being sure of this, I went to TikTok, Pinterest and Instagram to see what’s trending right now among my target audience. Many of the multi-million liked videos included nature themes and thus, animals, which accorded perfectly with the research I had already made. My target audience seemed to also like artsy and creative pieces made by unknown creators in the app.
The majority of these videos in TikTok have millions of likes, and even more views, by taking this path I ended up coming to the conclusion that one of the most famous animal among young people is the frog. I believe it also relates to my conclusion that animals that may seem smaller or more innocent tend to relate more to my target audience in comparison with older audiences, who seem to be more attracted to much more opposite types of animal representations.
Now, I started planning the actual logo. Firstly I had to come up with the name of my company, which I believed would be fitting as Frog Produces since I believe its fun and young. Here are some inspirations and ideas I had researched before starting:
I wanted it to be simple and look doodle-y, since I believe it’s what fit best with my initial idea. I used procreate to make various logos until I got the one I wanted, which is the bottom right one.
FINAL LOGO:
MOODBOARDS + ART
For further characterisation of my character, I had decided to create two moodboards to represent the two moods or personalities that the main character shows before and after the incident, as well as visual representations of herself to contrast how she feels through sketches made by myself. I use the two contrasting colours, blue and red. Blue represented her state before going crazy. “Feeling blue” fit perfectly with her feelings at that moment. There was never really a moment of true happiness when she was in the presence of her partner, but felt too fragile to do anything about it until she turned completely crazy. She bottled up her emotions and felt as if she was drowning. In contrast, red represented her severe mental instability. On the inside she’s still herself, confused about the person she’s become (we can see those mood swings at the end of the killing scene), but she’s now out of control. Her rage taints her sight in red, and although she couldn’t dare look at herself in the mirror, time has made her admit her state (something we see in the first and last scene, in the interrogation room), and she’s completely lost her mind.
In this piece made by me, we can see that she’s martyrised, copying the pose of a virgin, suffering the death of her child, looking up into the sky asking for help. We see that she’s bathed in blue, light, which although representing her mood, also seems to be pure. However, she’s covered in a red background, meaning that everything around her is dangerous and negative. It seems as if she’s drowning in it.
This is the piece that pairs with the one before. It’s a complete contrast. She’s now looking straight at the audience, as if challenging them in a way. The light surrounding her is red, one of wrath and power. Even though before it seemed as if she was drowning in the red environment, here it almost feels as if she’s rising from it. Getting out of it, rising from the dead and the pain as a new, changed person.

Initial Research Notes
When I first approached this module, I set about making a collection of notes and topics to take a look at. These primarily focused on the evolution of Computer Generated media before the release of Pixar's Toy Story (1995) and had explored obscure examples that I considered to be worthy to take a look at.
Below is a series of areas I intended to look at and make use of for my written essay:
How did they accomplish such achievements using the technology of the time?
SAGE
EDSAC, Sandy Douglas, OXO (one of the first known computer games) [bring the point to early video games]
2001 slit-scan / doctor who opening sequence
Flight Simulators from the '70s and '80s (Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation)
Television idents and their elaborate set-ups (best examples; BBC globe idents from analogue to digital, Channel 4 logo identity at launch)
Early Video Games
Magnavox Odyssey (first true games console)
Atari's PONG / 2600 / Cosmos (unreleased console that tried to make use of holograms to produce a 3D effect); the video game crash of 1983
Battlezone (1980) and the Star Wars arcade game (1983) (notable game to make use of 3D wireframe graphics)
How Nintendo revolutionised the market in 1985 upon the release of the NES
Attempts at producing 3D graphics of the era (video games)
Virtua Fighter / Virtua Racing
The Atari Jaguar and the 3DO
SEGA's add ons (32x / Mega CD)
SNES' Super FX chip / Donkey Kong Country / Star Fox
The failure of Nintendo's Virtual Boy.
The Toy Story video game / how 3D was made on a 16-bit console
How the PlayStation paved the way in the video game industry
When true 3D graphics came to light
Tech demos of some pretty early computer-generated works - the hand, the human face, etc etc
Ed Catmull and Fred Parke's Computer Animated Hand (1972)
Disney's TRON.
Attempts at producing computer-generated films
Machines of the era, how long it would take to render.
Quality of graphics and texture
Shiny, plastic-looking visuals, the difficulty of modelling, etc
The Works - an attempt on producing the world’s first fully 3D animated film. The short films it influenced (for example Sunstone)
Dire Straits “Money For Nothing” - how characters were made using the technology of the time and how they look in contrast to today’s standards
Also, bring up ReBoot and the production company; how did they manage to produce the first prime-time CGI animated TV series? Maybe show how advanced the models look for the characters in comparison to those made for the music video?
Pixar's short films and advertisements before Toy Story.
How artists made use of CG of the period
Yoichiro Kawaguchi and his art

Bugatti and Croatian electric supercar maker Rimac to combine in joint venture
New Post has been published on https://uspost.xyz/uncategorized/bugatti-and-croatian-electric-supercar-maker-rimac-to-combine-in-joint-venture/
Bugatti and Croatian electric supercar maker Rimac to combine in joint venture
The new company will be called Bugatti-Rimac and will make both Bugatti and Rimac cars. Bugatti, like Porsche, is part of the Volkswagen Group. Porsche also owns a stake in Rimac.
Bugatti-Rimac will be based in Zagreb, Croatia, not far from Rimac’s current headquarters. Bugatti, meanwhile, will continue to build cars in its current home of Molsheim, France, according to an announcement from Porsche. It will continue to operate as a separate car brand although Bugatti and Rimac will jointly develop new Bugatti models, the announcement said.
Porsche began investing in Rimac Automobili in 2018 and now owns a 24% stake in the company. Porsche will directly own 45% of Bugatti-Rimac while Rimac will hold the remaining 55% stake. Bugatti is being transferred to the new joint venture by its parent company, Volkswagen Group.
“We are combining Bugatti’s strong expertise in the hypercar business with Rimac’s tremendous innovative strength in the highly promising field of electric mobility,” Porsche Chairman Oliver Blume said in the announcement.
Rimac and Bugatti couldn’t have more different origins. Bugatti was founded in 1909, and made cars for royalty and celebrities, before shutting down shortly after World War II. The brand was revived in 1987, shut down again in 1995. Volkswagen recreated the Bugatti brand in the 1990s and early 2000s after purchasing the name, logo and the site of the company’s original headquarters in eastern France. Now, Bugatti assembles cars like the $3 million Chiron and the $6 million Divo, with gasoline-thirsty 16-cylinder engines, some variants of which can propel its cars to speeds over 300 miles an hour.
Rimac, on the other hand, was founded by then-21-year-old Mate Rimac in 2009. It has developed electric cars like the 1,224-horsepower Rimac Concept_One, of which only a few were made, and the new $2.4 million 1,900-horsepower Rimac Nevera, the company’s first production model. Until now, Rimac has mostly specialized in electric powertrain and battery development. It has counted Jaguar, Aston Martin, and the Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg among its clients. Rimac is also supplying the engineering for the $2 million Pininfarina electric supercar being created by the Italian firm once famous for designing Ferraris. Rimac will continue to operate a separate division, Rimac Technology, that will continue this sort of development and engineering work for outside companies.
The joint venture with Rimac does not mean that Bugatti will produce only electric cars, Mate Rimac said, although there will be some electric vehicles Bugatti’s in the near future. Mate Rimac indicated that the Chiron’s successor model, Bugatti’s next high-performance supercar, will likely be a hybrid.
Bugatti’s line-up could be expanded to include other models that aren’t high-performance supercars, though and those vehicles could be fully electric.
In the longer term, Bugatti could produce electric hypercars like Rimac’s, Mate Rimac said, but, even then, the brands will be distinctive with Rimac focused primarily on performance and Bugatti more on craftsmanship and style.
Mate Rimac will be the chief executive of Bugatti-Rimac. Two Porsche executives, including Blume, will have board seats at Bugatti-Rimac. The company is expected to be established by the end of the year.
