You know, I was gonna do another one of those "TAZ out of context is bonkers" posts for Ethersea but like. The established commonly referenced canon is already fucking Wild enough. The Biggest Baby (Formerly Big Baby, there was a committee vote) is a psychic ship made of old god bones that enforces law and order over the underwater post apocalypse city. Old Uncle Joshy is an NPC solely dedicated to being one of the PCs oldest friends and also the most prolific con man in this society. Also he spends most of his time planning to jump out at people yelling VIBE CHECK. He started a school to psychically fight teleporting sharks as a Gambit but it turned out his best student did have psychic powers and is the only living person to kill a blinkshark, so there's that. There are Established Universe Rules including "everyone has a knife" and "there's a hole for that". At least 2 of the Big Bads are just.....giant sea worms. Literally everything that happened in Shrets restaurant. The ship canonically has cubicles and coffee rings in the bridge. One of the PCs moves by farting from his feet. All of this is made fun of nearly every episode. I can't do it this time Ethersea is too self aware

So my baby's sisters absolute favourite book is Flowers For Algernon and I'm pretty okay at binding books so for Xmas I'm giving her a cool rebound version.

But here's the thing. It's a journal, right? And she loves when shit feels real you know like when books set in the 1800s have yellowed pages and those rough edges and shit. So I got it into my head that I'm going to actually write it out by hand, with the handwriting style reflecting the mastery of language that changes throughout the story (i.e. blocky and rudimentary at first, evolving into quicker possibly cursive as he learns, then blocky again but shaky at the end). I'm doing the short version bc I love my sister but not enough to handwrite 200 pages in different fonts.

So anyways this is a Project so anyone who sees this do me a favor and yell at me to work on it so it actually gets done this year lol.

i can’t even imagine how bad being a MECHANIC on tatooine must’ve fucked with obi-wan. there is something about his exile on that planet which is so much like purgatory or hell to me… being forced to live out the childhood traumas of the one person you couldn’t quite get it right with, after said person snapped and massacred your entire family. not that i think the fact that anakin did that is obi-wan’s fault at all but there’s no way it didn’t FEEL like some kind of divine punishment or lesson - having to learn so intimately what precise experiences made anakin so hard to reach & vulnerable to palpatine’s manipulation. like that’s insane. no wonder he then became a barback to siphon free liquor into a huge flask he’d carry around with him always. before that i guess he was just brewing moonshine in the cave

Do you think scarab and prismo hatefuck

Oh absolutely

First of all? Scarab bottoms. He's a power bottom, but a bottom nonetheless.

Second of all? It's a weird dynamic they developed with forced proximity. Both of them had a lot of feelings and frustration from everything that had happened.

Third of all? It all starts three beers in and goes downhill from there. Scarab is throwing a temper tantrum and Prismo is sick of his shit. Think in line with my fic Spoiled.

Fourth? Prismo feels so guilty afterward, but Scarab is the most chill he has ever been. He's actually genuinely helpful for once. He begins to feel less guilty about it and begins fucking Scarab within an inch of his life every time he begins to act like a jackass again.
