okay, but like.
i have not been able to stop thinking about how being trans works as a gerudo. bc i hate myself apparently.
like i don't think they count trans masc people as the "once in a thousand years" thing, bc it isn't mentioned. so i think being born "male" is a biological sex assigned at birth thing. but if the amab person transitions, then i think they just act like it never happened (yes this justifies a headcanon of mine, what of it).
so maybe they just have to leave town when they come out. which is tragic in its own way, and would be an interesting conflict to explore. like they'd never see their family again unless they leave town to visit. or they'd have to dress up in drag, or not be out to most of town except for a select few (obviously the voe clothing store is a safe space, and its how she makes money making them despite being in a heavily guarded city).
then the dreaded question arises: why don't we see any non femme presenting gerudo anywhere, in or out of town?
it could be that the game just isn't showing us them, sorta like the completely new characters (pelican man, sidon's fiance, josha, etc.) weren't anywhere to be found in botw.
also honestly nintendo are just cowards when in comes to representing minority groups with tact, especially in zelda and especially the gerudo.
so though it isn't explicitly anywhere in the game, i believe trans people are in it, until (but tbh even after bc aforementioned cowardice) they flat out say otherwise.
my current headcanons of characters we do see are:
nonbinary josha (all pronouns)
trans woman riju (it's been a thousand years, she could've been amab)
trans masc link (he/they) don't tell me some magic and/or ancient tech shit couldn't get rid of top surgery scars. also idk he's just got the vibe iykyk.

This is some Bobby Moch-type shit fr:
Well we were doing a boat race style event, high school rowing (8+). So I was in the bow seat and things we were all pretty invested in this race-none more so than the Cox. We complete the heads race for placing a in the final (boat race style long 5k with corners n stuff) and after we cross the line everyone is pretty exhausted, then out of the blue I see the stroke in the water clutching our little cox. Turns out he'd passed out just after we'd crossed the line and we hadn't noticed until he straight up fell out the boat. Good times

Okay am I the only one who actually thinks moash was, is, and continues to be in the wrong??
Like I get that killing Elhokar isn’t a terrible idea— he’s literally the worst king ever— but that’s not why moash is an antagonist or a bad person. ITS BECAUSE HE BROKE HIS OATHS.
Moash swore oaths of loyalty to kaladin.
Swore oaths of protection to both kaladin AND Elhokar. And as a Windrunner squire, keeping your paths and maintaining honor is A BIG FUCKING DEAL?!
People keep asking why moash is being punished: BECAUSE HE BROKE ONE OF THE MOST HOLY ASPECTS OF THE PLANET!

In every situation and circumstance, Ghost looked after his own. It was something he’d originally been trained to do, keeping track of his soldiers in the field, but the instinct had long since bled into his everyday life.
Ghost didn’t think it was obvious that he kept rigorous tabs on the people around him, especially those who mattered to him. To some extent, it was expected because of that wired part of his soldier’s brain that couldn’t be turned off that easily, but his compulsive need to be monitoring his own had branched far beyond that the moment he’d unlocked the space in his heart for these few men.
If it was possible, he kept his friends within his sight whenever they weren’t in a secure location, which was more often than not. Ghost chose to walk at the back of the group in more civilian settings when it was less likely to be dangerous. During missions, he took point whenever he could, keeping his soldiers behind him and listening to their footsteps to mark their locations. When they were stationary, he chose a place to settle at the fringes of the group or room where he could keep as many of them within sight as possible.
The one thing Ghost never tried to keep track of was how many times he ran silent head-counts, as he made a new one every handful of minutes. He could use a sight, a sound, a smell, or a touch of them to freshen their marker on his mental map.
Here, Johnny’s smile, and there, Gaz’s voice. There was Price’s distinct cigar smell. There were clips of Spanish phrases he could only understand a word or two of. Here was Johnny’s elbow, his thigh, just within touching range. A mohawk, two different hats. A smug smirk and its softer counterpart.
If anyone noticed that Ghost kept diligent tabs on everyone, they never said anything about it. Which he was grateful for, because it felt obsessive. He didn’t want them to think he didn’t trust them—that he was never settling completely because he was nervous around them—when the opposite was true. He did trust them, all of them, with his life.
The reason Ghost didn’t stop updating their location marks in his mind was because he didn’t want to lose them, not even for a second. They were his own, his to watch over, and if something happened, it was on him. By remaining diligent in his counting and monitoring, he could lower the risk.
At least, that’s what he told himself to stay sane.
