i know it’s too early to be talking about sixteen but god i hope the sixteenth doctor is an old man. a sad wet cat. a pathetic loser. a miserable freak. i would commit crimes in a heartbeat for ncuti i love that man but he is too cunty. he slays and the doctor simply does not. the doctor is an unpleasant weirdo with cringe charm and ncuti is too hot to encapsulate that essential part of the doctors character. i still expect to love his run but i am also hoping we get a more appropriate actor after him, someone so far unhinged you have to wonder if what made them like that is a birth defect. not just a good actor i need them to be genuinely insane, like their mother was cunt punted while they were crowning. the next doctors actor should be an escaped psych patient to properly be what we need

hi hi okay imagine. stede wants to brush out ed's hair the way izzy always does. maybe izzy is busy on deck taking note of damages after a raid. maybe they had an infestation and he's going over ration spoilage and inventory with roach. ed is tired and cranky and absentmindedly separating sections of curls and tugging them apart at the bottom where they get stuck together in knots. stede offers to help with the tangles, says he would love to give it a go and help ed relax

izzy walks in a few minutes later and immediately comes up and tells stede he's doing it all wrong but also gently takes the brush from him and shows him the right way - where to hold the hair, how to start at the bottom with little sections and work his way up, when to start with his fingers instead of the brush. neither of them can see it but ed is smiling so much his face might actually burst

I'm super lucky that my job allows me to Make Things and I especially love making replicas of vintage music memorabilia! So while I'm waiting for my Sparks fan club welcome package to arrive, this is what I've been up to thanks in part to the wonderful work of @bawnjourno ! As well as some not-so-vintage not-replicas just because I love Lil' Beethoven :D

Would any of you be interested in these? I'd be totally willing to personalize the buttons with your member numbers like in ye olden days unless that's confidential information these days, in which case I'll delete the line for it (someone please let me know!) I promise that the actual image isn't as pixellated as the one here lol. The picture doesn't really show it but the Lil' Beethoven keychains are on super-cool mirrored acrylic (still need to do a scratch test to see how well it holds up). Both the buttons and the keychains are approximately 2 inches, I still need to figure out cost but I'll probably only charge a few bucks on top of postage :)

#i accidentally clicked on a video from the joe rogan experience. #i legitimately do want to know how soooo many men walked away from fight club with such a terrible misunderstanding of it #theres literally so much more to it than the ten or so minutes of brad pitt monologuing about individuality and consumerism and identity. #LOL! #something can def be said about both fc & dps on white men + the inherent homoeroticism of movies centering them + the exploration of #masculinity & expectations and how theyre dealt with in pretty different communities (upper class teens in the 50s at a private school v #working class men in the 90s in the city) the similarities + differences btwn how their world perspectives were shaped by being upper/lower #class Cis White Men #**ok i doubt every single guy in fight club is white but still. the leads are + theyre all men #blah blah stuff they as men are told about power & the kind of treatment + lives they deserve #not to mention the fact both stories are abt men finding an outlet via a super secret boys only club #but in one they lean more into femininity(?)/the arts while in the other they lean into masculinity(?)/violence LOL #healthy/nonhealthy means of expression respectively. what is the cause and effect of each of them what led them to that point blah blah #also lastly something worth mentioning -- the role WOMEN play in their stories. oft only as mothers or romantic/sexual appeal #LASTLY lastly the fact both movies end in a similar but opposite way - the leader of fight club wants to STOP all the chaos hes brought so #he shoots himself - but that doesnt stop everything. v the leader of the dead poets society is threatened w military school - #masculinization - when its discovered hes been exploring the arts so he also shoots himself and the dps is shut down by external forces . #HM #did not mean to write a whole essay in the notes but alright #im not gonna proof read it send post #fight club #dead poets society #cowboy posts
