Meaning of the names of the characters and places I've found
Fenghuang (Chinese)= 鳳凰 (phoenix)
Huang Hua (Chinese)= 黃花 (yellow flowers)
Huang Chu (Chinese)= 皇储 (crown prince)
Taenmil (Korean)= 탠밀 (tanned wheat)
Miiko (Japanese)= from miko 巫女 (shrine maiden)
Koori (Japanese)= 氷 (ice)
Tenjin (Japanese)= 天神 (god of heaven or heavenly god)
Genkaku (Japanese)= 幻覚 (hallucination/illusion)
Adalric (German)= noble, regal ruler (I wasn't expecting this lol)
Yaqut (Arabic)= ياقوت (ruby/jewel) (even though you could already know this)
Shaitan (Arabic)= شَيْطَان (demon) (even though you could already know this)
Leiftan (Hungarian)= God is my light (not 100% sure, I found it on a site but I like the meaning) (Quoting "According to a user from Hungary, the name Leiftan is of Fiction origin and means "God is my Light")
Nevra (English)= anagram of the word “raven” (even though you could already know this)/ (Turkish)= from the word "Nawra" (blossom) (thank you to prettymilotic for this)
Purreko (compound word of English and Japanese)= from “to purr” and “neko” 猫= cat (that's, at least, what I think as they are literally cats)
Valkyon (from Norse mythology)=from valkyrie (chooser of the slain)
Ophelia (Greek)= aid/help (thank you to prettymilotic for this)
Colaia= Smart, Enormous, Good Understanding
Cameria (Scottish)= crooked nose (help💀💀)
Yeu (Vietnamese)= to love romantically
Jamon (Spanish)= ham
Laitue (French)= lettuce
Chrome (from early 19th century/Greek)= from khrōma "colour"

Macross 7 Anniversary Concert Debuts Explosive New Key Visual
Next month's Macross 7 anniversary concert has released a new key visual that has us all fired up!
The concert, titled "Basara Explosion 2019," will feature a live performance by Yoshiki Fukuyama. The JAM Project member, in addition to performing themes for shows like Overman King Gainer, provided the iconic singing voice of Basara Nekki in Macross 7.
A new visual for the anniversary concert has been released, created by Macross Frontier character designer Risa Ebata and regular Macross mechanical designer Hidetaka Tenjin. Check out these cool shots of Basara and his VF-19 Custom Fire Valkyrie:
The new art will be available on concert merchandise available both at the event and online at the official Macross Portal.
Basara Explosion 2019 takes place Friday, September 13 at Tokyo's Zepp DiverCity. Tickets for the event are already sold out.

Akira Yasuda Gundam Design Works Art Book Review
Famed Japanese illustrator and character/mecha designer Akira Yasuda ( Akiman ) showcases his beautiful collection of Gundam related illustrations in this art book (安田 朗 ガンダムデザインワークス). The contents includes illustrations from the G-Reco and Turn-A Gundam anime series, created for cd and dvd art covers and marketing materials.
Also included are character and mecha designs from the above series as well as the Turn-A manga Wind Of The Moon (月の風) and the PS game MS Saga : A New Dawn (トゥルーオデッセイ). A long interview with the artist is also included.
(above right) One of my fav illustrations of the character Kihel Heim from Turn-A.
(image above) Loving the soft pastel color palette that Akiman often uses in his illustrations.
Anime fans of G-Reco and Turn-A, as well as Akiman will find a lot to like in this art book. Highly recommended.

Hyperweapon 2016 – Paradise’s Logic Art Book Review
Hyperweapon 2016 – Paradise’s Logic is a collection of illustrations and model craft work by renowned mecha designer/illustrator Kobayashi Makoto. His long list of credits include Space Battleship Yamato, Venus Wars, Mobile Suit Z Gundam, Last Exile and many more.
This book collects models and artwork from the series “Freedom Of Flight” featured in the Scale Aviation magazines Vol 99 to 109, as well as additional material that Makoto has worked on in his free time. There are also some guest artists, including Nirazawa Yasushi ( image above ), whose art book I’ll be reviewing soon as well.
A treasure trove of detailed mecha illustrations and models for fans. In comparison to Hyperweapon 2014, the ratio of illustrations to model pictures is less, but overall quality of the content remains excellent. Recommended.
