In honor of GETTING MARRIED yesterday, I wanted to share some of the inso gifs from when I was drafting my story The Lost Soul (where the crazy journey of Rose and the Doctor living out their forever in the Forever With You verse found them admitting a bunch of feelings) and also include a link to read it! I love this verse, I love this version of these two characters, but mostly I love writing about love, and I hope you enjoy!
Post Doomsday AU: The Doctor decides to take a risk and take Rose to the most romantic planet in the universe - Atlantis. But when they arrive, they learn not everything is as it seems, and it's up to them to stop the darkness from coming. Through aiding Aphrodite, the Doctor and Rose embark on their own quest to help the planet, and help their own hearts.
Doctor Who with a loose Greek Mythology twist - it's a love story.

hello pal, I would love to know more about 6?? where she finds her old bedroom. (you've repeated the numbers 6 & 7 in your list, do you have 21 wips??)
bloody hell, you're right 😂😂😂 god, what a bloody twit.
Any more for any more?
6. A short missing scene where Rose finds her old bedroom on the TARDIS before the Doctor drops her back off on the parallel world. The Doctor finds her, and they have that moment we all wanted them to have but we never got 😭
“It’s been a while since I’ve been in here,” he admitted. “Never could face coming back in.”
Her eyes only seemed to amplify her sadness, and she quickly turned to look away from him. Her fingers touched her lamp, and trailed down to the book on her nightstand.
He remembered it, of course, that morning. The last morning he was in here. She had read him an extract of that daft book while she lay against his chest and he could feel her there now, as she always was, right in the space above his hearts.
For the first time, he looked away from her. The room was silent, heavy and full of memories he couldn’t bear to acknowledge. All the hours he spent in this room, all the hours he fell in love with her over and over again in this corner of the TARDIS and here he was again, falling in love with her once more, only so much deeper, knowing that he was about to lose her again.
7. Their first night together on the parallel world, Rose wants to take it slow. She’s confused, hurt, and needs some headspace. Tentoo can’t sleep and makes himself a cup of tea in the quiet hours of the night, but runs into Jackie. Spoiler: Jackie’s need to mother and take care of him hasn’t disappeared after all those years. Jackie/Ten(too) feels abound!
“No, Rose, it’s fine. Go ahead,” he encouraged, and was relieved to know she still had enough trust in him to take him at his word. So she reached out again, but touched her fingers to his cheek this time, gliding them slowly over and around the contours of his face. She touched him precisely, with adventure and love, mapping out a face she already knew by heart. Down his sideburns her fingers trailed, running along his jaw and across the bridge of his nose. Not once did she look him in the eye, she only followed the path of her fingers and what lay beneath, as though she were trying to find reason to believe she was wrong. Or perhaps that she was right.
“You really do look like him,” she whispered, and she reflected a bedazzled smile when he chuckled quietly.
“I am him.”
“Where’s your second heart, then?”
“You tell me.”
... small edit: I’ve just noticed you didn’t actually ask for number 7 lmao. ENJOY THAT ONE ON ME.

one thing I really appreciate about rtd era doctor who is just how NORMAL the sets often look:
there have been at least three separate people I’ve known whose bedrooms had this vibe: the incredible clashing between different shades of pink, the dark carpet, the messiness, the poor lighting filtering through that dark curtain—I know how it feels being in this room.
I painted my room this exact color in 2008/2009. martha’s organized, but she’s a student and it’s a cramped space—she arranges her shelves the best she can, but her stuff is just stuff and doesn’t perfectly match. when I’m at school I have to dry my laundry in the middle of my room exactly the same way!
yup, that’s what every break room I’ve ever had at work looks like, with the mismatched tupperware and posters and questionably-clean microwave.
sylvia’s house is obviously intended to be coordinated, but with a nonprofessional’s taste. you can see the little pumpkins in the background from halloween, there’s a printed tablecloth at the table, the counters are that realistic mix of cluttered and clean.
even in a fancy office, we’ve got the ugly fluorescent lighting that’s not really doing anyone favors, the crooked potted plants, the sporadic beige and white walls, the random workplace posters above the printer and trash cans.
people sitting in weird places because there aren’t enough seats around the tv! the cat tower with kitty litter shoved in the corner! the overstuffed table! the slightly-crooked picture frames! this IS the vibe of being stuffed into a too-small room with company over.
I don’t know, I just love how they unapologetically show the messiness of normal life on camera?? I feel like the unglamorous-ness of it grounds the show so much?! it’s just so much fun watching a bunch of fantastical sci-fi things play out against mundane settings I see every day.
*to clarify, there is nothing wrong with sets from recent seasons, this is totally a subjective thing!! I just sometimes feel like even “regular” modern-day settings sometimes just seem a little *polished*, with all of the colors and objects and lighting always aligning to create a pretty shot. and this is totally fine! from an artistic perspective, it’s gorgeous (from a gif-making perspective it’s often easier too, lol), and I’m VERY impressed with all of the people who worked to make it like that. this is just commenting on one small aspect of the show that I’ve found myself missing sometimes.
