Prompt: Can we get Terra being a clueless dork trying to impress his girlfriend (reader) with her being like “never change Terra, never change :)” ?

Pairing: Terra / Female!Reader

Summary:

Word Count: 780

Ever since you first met Terra, he’s been trying to impress you. Whenever you were around he’d run faster, lift heavier weights, and train harder. Sometimes we even snuck into the workout room just to see him before, which was normally him going at a normal pace or just at the end in which he’s starting to run out of energy. Only to push at a 10 the moment his eyes lay on your form.

Even after you agreed to be girlfriend, the brunettes pursue to impress you never faded. Still months later he would continue to push himself, despite you constantly tell him he didn’t have to anymore. At first, he acted like he wasn’t doing anything different. Like suddenly switching from 20lb to 50lb was normal for him. After some time you began to realize that it was something he just did, and you couldn’t change that.

But you weren’t the only one to notice his not-so-subtle changes. Both Aqua and Ventus began to notice not long after he started. They would comment on how sweatier he was after a workout, or how sore he was after a training session - but just smiled to themself at his actions.

Your others friends also noticed too. Though they never talked about it, til one day you and a couple of friends were out for lunch and enjoying the decent weather, when one of your friends sudden asked you “Have you noticed how Terra is around you?” You shot her a confused look, not sure what exactly she meant. She sighed before placing her fork down, giving the question her full attention. “How extra he is around you? I mean that man will run an additional 5 miles for you.” She paused to take a sip of her drink before continuing. “I mean you’ve been dating for what 2 years now? And he still acts like he’s got a high school crush on you.” You let out a chuckle at her description of both Terr himself as well as his actions. She gave you a weird look. “What, Don’t you think it’s weird?” Her voice with confusion at your laughter. You shook your head at her “I kind of like it.”

Both your friends gasped at your reaction “You do? Why?” Your other friend questioned, leaning in closer. ”It’s something Terra’s always done. From the moment we first met, he’s always tried to impress me. I mean our first date was spend cleaning up his kitchen after he burnt dinner, then strayed a watera spell everywhere.” You suddenly laughed as the memory of his panicked expression filled your head. “Yes, we’ve been together for close to a year now. But whenever the guy finally gets the girl, most of the time they stop. When the he starts chasing you, it all sunshine and rainbows and everything - but once you begin dating that all changes. It’s just really nice that he still tries to impress me, even after a year.”

The three of you sit in silence after you finished talking. The two of them focused on the words you just spoke. "I never thought of it like that." One friends finally spoke up. "Yeah, we though it was dorky. But it's actually really sweet." She looked up at you with a warm smile on her face. You laugh for a second. "Oh it is really dorky, but I never want him to change that."

After finishing your lunch the three of yo decided to continue you talking, until you got a message from Aqua asking you to ‘please come back home.” You hurried to gather your things and explained the message before rushing to your vehicle.

Pulling into your driveway you were confused. Everything looked okay. As you make your way around nothing seemed wrong, that was until you made your way into the kitchen.

Terra stood in the middle surrounded by smoke and the smell of burnt meat. As soon as his eyes met your, the brunette rushed to your side and began explaining what happened mixed in with several apologies. “I’m sorry knew you would be out all day so I wanted to get everything done before you got home. The dishes were done, then I wanted to make dinner. And well.” He motioned behind him where the source of the smell was coming from. Without looking at it, you wrapped your arms around his waist and pulled the larger man into a hug. “It’s okay, I don’t mind take out again.“ You told him before peeking over his shoulder and chuckling to yourself, thinking back to the conversation you had just a few hours ago.

➪ other notes : ahhh first post on this acc, we’ll see how this goes, it might take a while for me to get a gist on writing irl fics, non edited

you were watching your boyfriend’s stream, surprisingly this was a chill stream where he was just chatting with his viewers. you often put on his streams for background noise when you’re doing your college work, except this time something caught your attention. “look at the house we made chat,” you hear your boyfriend say, proudly showing off the house you and him made in your own minecraft world. “chat they are real!” the contrast from the previous moments before is evident, quackity getting jokingly offensive when his audience still refuses to believe you exist despite you having showed up on stream times before.

you quietly giggle to yourself as you see alex scramble to prove you’re his significant other. he then pulls up old pictures of you and him on his pc, both of you hugging each other and smiling widely. you can see alex trying to hold back his smile but failing miserably as he reminisces on old memories. “i know this sounds corny but i can’t imagine any other life without them, they just understand me,” he says, a wide smile and light blush sitting on his face, as he speaks so fondly of you. that quickly changes when his chat starts spamming “simp” mixed with “awe’s”. “chat i am not a simp! and even if i was they’re my partner so it basically cancels out !”

this goes on for a while before it cools off as he continues to tour your world. a few hours pass before he ends the stream before calling you to ask if he could come over to your apartment. obviously accepting, you finish up your work before starting to make a simple dinner for the both of you. when alex finally arrives to your apartment, his persona shifts from chaotic idiot to soft lover. it’s not often that he shows himself this way to his fans, but with you, he can feel himself relax. once both of you eat dinner, you both settle down for a movie.

you lay on top of him with him massaging your scalp and rubbing your back. you chuckle to yourself remembering this was the same man claiming he wasn’t all smitten over you. “what are you laughing at,” your boyfriend turns to you with a toothy grin. “it’s okay to admit you’re a simp for me,” you say leaning up to give him a peck on the lips. “hey you’re bullying me like chat did,” he exclaims with giggles following at the end. “well it isn’t bullying if they’re telling the truth,” you say and he dramatically gasps in offense. “my own lover turning against me,” he says with a pout on his face. the night continues on with the occasional teasing and the continuous love. it’s these moments you wish could last forever.

Summary: Reader has another episode where her powers are out of control. When Riven is not around steps another guy forward. Riven turns green with jealousy when he witnesses someone else trying to help you, it is after all his task.

“Sorry I’ve woken you up.” – you said, turning your head to Riven. So did Riven, his arm under his head. – “It’s fine!” – he responded waving his hand up. You fully turned over to him, laying your arm under your neck. – “I truly am. I…I shouldn’t wake you up for every small convenience.” – you exhaled soft, looking up to the night sky. The sky dotted with a few stars. – “Hey!” – Riven rolled over to you, laying his thumb on your chin. – “Your my best friend! You need me? I’ll be there.” – he let his thumb swipe to your jaw, stroking you. You curled up a smile, gazing into his eyes. – “Still…” – you softly said, removing his fingers from against your cheek.

You lowered his hand, still holding onto it. – “Y/n! No matter what I’m here for you. I told you we’d figure this out together!” – Riven interrupted before you could feel sorrier for yourself. – “Do you still hear them?” – he wanted to know. You shook your head as best as you could. Riven shut his eyes out of relief for a moment. – “Only me…” – you whispered. Riven entangled his fingers better with yours, bringing your hand up. – “Good.” – he breathed out, staring at you. You smiled gently at him, feeling so safe around him. Riven and you kept gazing at each other, caught in the moment. The stars above weren’t nearly as important as one another.

Riven felt words come up, tasting them on his tongue. He slightly opened his mouth, readying himself to express them. He inhaled long, feeling his chest enlarge. You rolled over to your back, feeling the grass underneath you stick on your skin. Riven exhaled, swallowing his words back in. He rolled onto his back as well, tugging his arm behind his head. If only he had spoken sooner, perhaps he could’ve changed things. There was nothing wrong with being best friends, but lately he felt wanting something more. He wanted you closer than ever. Just you and him. He brought your entangled hand to his stomach, letting it rest there. For now this was good enough. He still had you.

Riven jerked his upper body up, hearing a loud whistle. Someone was blowing angry on the whistle. You shot up as well, staring with grand eyes at Riven. – “We have to go!” – he ordered, urging you to get up. You got up with the help of Riven. He took your elbow, running off with you. – “I hope you aren’t scared of detention!” – Riven chuckled out. You groaned loud at how in the heat he still found time to joke around. Riven pushed you inside the building. – “If they start checking dorms we are screwed!” – Riven called out. You nodded following him into the cafeteria. It was dark and silent. Riven and you stopped for a second to decide the best way back to the dorms.

You went left when Riven went right. He sighed loud, running after you. He grabbed you by the elbow, pulling you in the other way. You gasped loud, hearing voices, someone clearly in search for the students out of bed. Riven dragged you around, making the decisions for you. Riven came to a sudden stop, seeing the light of a flashlight reflecting around the corner. He took your hand, going the other way with you. The voices got louder as Riven took a hard risk. He pressed you against one of the pillars. He pressed himself close to you, letting you know to stay quiet. You nodded.

Riven let his hands rest on your waist, his eyes going around while trying to listen. You could only stare at him. Stare at your best friend. Riven’ eyes fell on you, letting them rest there. He kept staring at you, quirking a tiny smile up. The way he stared at you let butterflies bounce around in your stomach. You felt it so strong. The warmness inside of you. You couldn’t stop it but the emotion you absorbed from Riven started to vibrate out of your body. Warm pulses of soft purple vibrating off you. Riven moved his hands off your waist, taking a step back to understand what was happening. He clearly felt the pulses as well. A purple aura surrounding you. – “What are you doing?” – he whispered, hoping they wouldn’t be found.

“I don’t know.” – you whispered back with a soft smile. – “I just feel so loved.” – you added drunk on the emotion. – “Well snap out of it Y/n before they find us!” – Riven shout-whispered, grabbing you by both shoulders. He shook you gently back and forth, giving you a reality check. You blinked rapidly, the purple aura retreating back inside you. – “I’ve never done that… cool.” – you said with a goofy smile. Riven peeked around the pillar, seeing that the coast was clear. – “Good for you Y/n.” – he replied, taking your hand again.

Riven ran up the stairs with you to where all the dorms were. He dropped you off at your dorm. – “See you in the morning.” – he whispered out, pushing you inside. You waved him goodbye as he shut the door. Riven shook his head with a shudder unsure what had happened there. He rubbed his hand against his heart. When you were shining, he definitely felt his emotions in overdrive. Like an overdose from what he was feeling. He laid himself down in his bed with a weary sigh. At this point he was just glad you weren’t caught.

The next day was Riven with Sky at the training grounds. Two specialists were fighting on the platform. Sky and Riven leaning against it, supervising them. – “How’s Y/n?” – Sky asked. – “I heard she had it rough after her first time using her powers.” – Riven nodded, looking briefly away from the specialists. – “She couldn’t be any better.” – Riven answered with a cocky smile. – “Also she is mine to worry about!” – Riven held his finger up, narrowing his eyes to an intense stare. Sky swallowed nervously. – “I was just asking.” – Sky informed, knowing when to back off.

Riven chuckled loud. – “I know. I was just reminding you off it.” – Riven slapped Sky against his back with a sly smile. – “Got it!” – Sky puffed out, feeling the air in his lungs sucked out. – “Hey! work on your feet!” – Riven shouted at the specialist. He nodded keeping an extra eye out on his pose. They practiced again, Sky pointing out their wrongs. After practice shared Riven and Sky a handshake with the specialists. – “You coming to the party?” – one of them asked. Riven laughed loud. – “Have I ever turned down a party?” – He said in a rhetorical way. – “No.” – answered the specialist, making Riven roll with his eyes. Riven took his leave with Sky, going back to their dorm.

The party was buzzing loud when arrived. You texted Riven that you were here. Tugging your phone away, you looked curious around. Through the crowd you saw Musa sitting with her headphones on a table with Sam by her. She was laughing loud at something. Terra was wandering around, holding three drinks in her hands. Probably to give to her friends. Someone bumped against your shoulder, making you move around. You started going around the party in search for Riven. You smiled when Bloom cheered loud at beer pong. Sky throwing his hands up in a loss.

Bloom pointed at him when he picked up the cup to drink. You moved on, seeing that Terra had found her friends. She stood with Aisha and Stella. You pulled your nose up at Beatrix sharing an intense smoke with someone in the corner. Pulling out your phone, you checked if Riven had texted you already. You sighed soft when nothing had popped up. Perhaps anyone knew where he was. – “Excuse me.” – you said, tapping a guy on his shoulder. The guy turned around, looking annoyed at you. – “Do you maybe know…” – you started getting cut off by him. – “Beat it!” – he called out over the loud music.

You gulped distancing yourself from him. – “Okay…” – you mumbled to yourself, rubbing your palms together. With a heavy sigh squirmed you through the crowd. – “Riven?” – you just started to call out loud. – “Riven?” – some people that heard you shook their head, not knowing. You sighed again standing lost while around you people danced. The lights flickering above your head for a strobing effect. Looking down saw you that the floor was covered in glitter. The music was so loud it numbed your hearing. Everything felt like underwater. The dancers around you seemed to be closing in on you.

Circling around you like vultures. You furrowed your brows, feeling a strong emotion stir inside of you. It was vibrant and active. Like a tornado out of control. You looked around, seeing a couple argue in the back. You could feel it. Their emotion so strong it angered you. You felt this deep grudge inside of you, yet the feeling wasn’t yours. – “Stop.” – you whispered out, pressing your hands against your ears. Your eyes shining a bright purple. You inhaled sharply when another strong emotion swept in. laughter. You could hear it echoing in the back of your mind. It was repulsing when the joy mixed with the anger. You felt two strong conflicted emotions deep inside of you. I should’ve never trusted him again. You heard the voice loud and clear in your mind. I’m so fucking stupid for still believing this ass! You inhaled sharply as the voice blurred over into another one.

Should I jump on the pool table and take my shirt off? Is it just me or does this drink taste funny? God he is so attractive. I am so going to be hungover tomorrow morning. the thoughts kept barging into your mind uninvited. You couldn’t take it anymore. The voices, the emotions. It was too much. – “Stop it! Stop it… stop it!” – you kept saying, louder and louder. You needed Riven and you needed him now. You were about to lose it again. This time you had no idea what would happed if you reached your breaking point. – “Shut up. Just shut up!” – you started slapping yourself against your head, wanting the voices to be over with.

Close to crying sunk you down, crouching. – “Please… please… please…” – you begged gently rocking back and forth. No one around you seemed to notice or care. All too occupied in their own little world. – “Turn it off. Turn it off. Turn it off.” – you whimpered, tears streaming down your face. – “Hey Y/n you, okay?” – You didn’t hear it at first, too overwhelmed by your powers. Dane looked over his shoulder to see if anyone was going to interfere. – “Hey Y/n, you alright?” – Dane knelt down to your height, touching you on the knee. You gasped loud, staring with your sparkling purple eyes at him. – “Wow! Relax it’s just me.” – Dane said, moving his hand up.

“Make it stop. I want it to stop.” – you cried out, sobbing loud. – “Stop what? Y/n what is going on?” – Dane got a bit worried. – “The voices, the emotions. Everything!” – you called out, close to your breaking point. – “Alright, okay. I’ll make it stop!” – Dane looked thoughtful around for a solution. He had no idea what was going on, but he had seen Musa wear headphones, so he figured maybe you just needed the same.

“Here take these!” – Dane pulled out his earplugs from his pocket. You shivered, looking frightened and fragile at him. Dane removed your hands from against your ear. He put his earplugs in to see if it was better. – “And?” – he yelled out over the loud music. You shook your head at Dane as it wasn’t helping. He exhaled deep, wondering what to do next. – “It’s going to be alright Y/n. Try… try focusing only on my voice.” – Dane took your hand, rubbing your back. Dane started to ramble out stuff about training as it didn’t help at all.

Riven was by the pool table. When it wasn’t his turn, lifted he his head up to look around. Between people’s leg spotted he something. He wasn’t sure at first. Then when the crowd on the dancefloor moved around widened his eyes. – “What the actual fuck!” – he spitted out with a deep glare. He pushed his pool stick into another guy’s hands. Angry forced he a way through the crowd. Riven felt disgusted, betrayed, and jealous that Dane was by your side. Riven could sense that you had another overwhelming episode.

It vexed him that Dane was there trying to help you when that was his task. Only he could sooth you so why was this prick even trying. Dane helped you up to your feet. – “Your so death!” – Riven cursed out, grabbing Dane by his shoulder. He turned him around to him, grabbing him firmly by the shirt. – “What the fuck do you think you are doing!” – he called out, glaring threateningly at Dane.

“I-I-I-I-I I just saw her on the floor.” – Dane stuttered out. Riven looked at you, letting go of Dane. He pulled at the string of his earplugs, letting them plop out of your ears. – “Was this your stupid idea?” – Riven hummed sarcastically at the end of his sentence. – “I…I thought it would work. I see Musa wear them all the time.” – Dane answered. Riven grabbed Dane by his shirt again. – “Y/n isn’t fucking Musa is she now! If I see you around her again. Your death!” – Riven let go of Dane.

“Riven!” – you called out still panicking. Riven grabbed you, leading you out of the room. You got outside yet it still felt like you were unstable. Riven walked sturdy away from the building with you. You stopped him at the green fields, feeling like you were going to explode. – “Riven… I can’t… I can’t…” – you called out, shaking your head, your hands pressed firmly on your ears. A pulse vibrated off you again. This time it was deeper purple.

You clenched your jaw at the intense pain it was causing you. Riven grabbed you by the shoulders. – “Y/n listen to me! Stay with me okay!” – he called out in a panic. This time he wasn’t sure what to do. Your hands were trembling as you breathed in shocks. Riven grabbed a hand of yours, pressing it against his chest. – “Feel my heartbeat! Only focus on it.” – you tried to focus on it, feeling it beat against your palm. Riven kept a close on you, seeing a slight change in you. It did seemed to work, yet he needed like a final push to bring you completely back.

The pulsing aura started to fade out as he was glad about that. You still looked uncomfortable. Riven pulled you closer to him by your shoulder. You widened your eyes when Riven pressed his lips onto yours. You blinked rapidly, the shininess in your eyes fading. Then you closed your eyes, moving your arms around Riven. He pressed his hands against your back, pulling you closer to him. The last of the voices disappeared as your own feelings took the wheel.

You kissed Riven full on. Your lips never getting enough of his. You parted, gazing up to him. Riven touched your chin with a cheeky smile. – “I love you Y/n.” – it wasn’t the first time you had heard him say it. You used to casually say it to each other all the time. This time it did felt different. Purer. You knew he meant every word of it. – “I love you too Riven.” – you answered with a smile. Riven kissed you again to seal his words with yours. – “Are you feeling any better?” – he asked.

You nodded getting on the tips of your toes. – “Your my remedy.” – you whispered to him. – “I’m sorry I didn’t found you earlier.” – he breathed out, feeling a bit guilty. – “That’s alright. You always come at the right time.” – you answered letting his nose brush against yours. Riven squeezed your waist. – “I promise you I’ll always be there. We’ll conquer this together. Just you and me.” – he kissed you once more. – “Just us.” – you whispered.

Pairing: Terra / Male! Reader

Summary:

Word Count: 780

Long missions were someone Terra dreaded. It meant catching sleep whenever he could on his ship, traveling the numerous dangerous worlds, and being away from you for an extended time.

If lucky you could communicate a little bit when he’s traveling. However most of the times you’ve tried, someone was busy. Terra was off protecting a princess of light when you were free, or you were training with Ventus while Terra was free.

It seemed like no matter how many times you tried, you couldn’t get time for each other.

When you were first informed that Terra would be returning home today, you felt excited. Excited that the two of you could finally see each other again, but also happy you knew he was safe. No longer would he face the unknown dangers alone.

You not-so-patiently stood along with Ventus and Aqua awaiting Terra’s ship to come into view. Each of you looking towards anything that moved within the sky, whether it was something small like a bug or large as a bird. Until what you’ve been waiting for finally came into view, causing the youngest to point and shout. “I see him!” Both you and Aqua turn and begin to wave excitedly as Terra approaches the three of you.

You stand back and let the others have their reunion before the brunette turns his gaze towards you, his brown eyes make contact with you. A shy smile graces his face as he slowly made his way over to you. His hand reach out for you, but stop midway as if he’s scared you’ll disappear once he makes contact.

Taking the initiative, you grab his hands and place each on either side of your waist. Terra quickly took you intention and moved his hands around your back and pulled your chest flush against his. One arm latched on to your side holding you in place, while the other came up to your face and gently grasped your chin slowing shifting your position then began to lean it.

Following suit, you did the same until your lips came in contact. Your lips slowly moved in sync like you didn’t spend months apart. It was a kiss that took your breath away. Once your lips part ways, it takes you a couple moments to catch your breath - only for it to be taken again as Terra’s free arm joins his other one and proceeded to lift you up and squeeze.

After in initial shock, you let out a chuckle before returning the tight hug. “I miss you so much, prince.” He whispered in your ear before you set you back down on my ground yet didn’t break his hold.

The two of you stayed connect until the set began to set, finally enjoying each other company.

REAL IN THE FLESH

➪ pairing : oliver quick x reader, implied relationship with felix catton and reader

➪ sypnosis : you didn’t have a lot of time to talk with oliver, but now you do, and it’s terrifying

➪ other notes : currently can’t write for bsd, but saltburn is currently my new obsession

the summer sun beams on both of you as you lay down on the green grass. oliver was sitting up next to you, gazing at his surroundings. “we haven’t gotten to talk much have we oliver ?” you ask him, you turn your head towards him. “suppose not,” the quiet boy says. “do you like it here ? in saltburn, i mean,” you say, attempting to form conversation.

“it’s lovely, better than home,” he simply says. home. home to oliver seemed monstrous, well from what felix had told you before. “where’s your home ?” oliver asks you. you hum, taken aback from the question. “not far, we have a nice house but i’ve always passed summers here in saltburn, since felix and i started dating,” you respond sighing.

“do you like it ?” he asks. you look at oliver through your sunglasses. “of course i do,” you say, almost scoffing. who wouldn’t like living in a mansion even if it were for a couple of months. “how long have you and felix been together ?” oliver asks. “since sophomore year in high school, well on and off but you know” you respond, liking the flow of the conversation.

felix had mentioned to oliver that you and him and been on and off because of…well felix’s cheating, not that he explicitly told you. but felix couldn’t seem to let you go, after every break, he’d manage to crawl back into your bed, saying that he was forever “your guy” and that all the rumors of him with other girls aren’t true.

“well there’s a reason why he keeps coming back to you,” oliver sighs. you snap your head towards him, “and why is that ?” you say. “you’re fucking beautiful, who wouldn’t want you back,” he says, words rolling off his tongue. you try not to be flustered, you really do. yet a smirk crawls onto your face. “felix would kill you~” you say in a singsong voice.

“you’re different from everyone else here,” oliver suddenly says. “am i ?” you ask, almost confused. “like you’re…you’re authentic,” he says and your breath hitches. “like you’re actually real in the flesh, why is that ?” oli continues. “my father wasn’t there and my mom barely made it through with her job,” you confess, and you realize it’s terrifying.

it’s terrifying that a man you barely knew, now had a glimpse of what your childhood was like. why did you tell him ? why did you tell him ? was it because oliver is kind, too kind for his own good ? you don’t know but suddenly your oversharing has made you uncomfortable.

“i um have to go, uh find felix, wanted to talk to him about something,” you clear your throat as you get up. “you know, he’s cheating on you, he constantly is,” oliver says as you start walking away. “i’m well aware,” you quietly say. and that’s when oliver realizes that you aren’t as stupid as he thought you initially were.

“be seeing you…ollie,” you say, walking towards the mansion that oliver one day would claim as his. a smile falls on his face, one that he had been holding in for a while. maybe you weren’t so useless after all, maybe one day he could fit into felix’s shoes. maybe you just gave him a reason to keep you along for the ride.
