That being said—

He has black and burgundy scales with red markings like diamonds full of warning up and down his tail. The frills adorning his head are dark and terrifying, like a poisonous black-blue flower. He's powerful, swift, and precise with his kills.

He doesn't think much of the photographer; an easy meal. That is until he realizes you are more respectful of the jungle and the creatures than most humans, and he watches how you stare in quiet reverence at the forces at work around you. You intrigue him. Mostly, he wants to see how quickly he can break you. Which, to his chagrin, isn't as easy as he suspects it to be.

With you, he's obsessed. He hates that you're not bending under his will despite your fear. Your every encounter with him involves you being tugged and twisted around like a little doll made to dance. His strength is terrifying. His size is overwhelming. He'll trap you in his coils until you stop squirming—until you learn that you can't keep fighting because if you do, he'll crush you.

That's the threat he likes to snarl. The promise chills your very marrow.

He leaves you bruised when you try to talk back to him and keep attempting to escape his claws. His loops twist around you just enough to give you a half-second of panic, unable to fill your lungs enough to breathe, but he loosens his grip before you choke. This, however, leaves the skin over your ribs colored in deep violets and indigo splatters. You're afraid he wants to see what he's done—his claws trace the bottom of your shirt, searching.

If he's feeling generous enough, he'll grab you by the wrists and drag you closer, close enough to hiss in your ear that he wouldn't have to be so rough if you behaved. He has a particularly nasty habit of grabbing your chin when you refuse to look at him. His hellish orange eyes flash when you whimper or gasp, but it's not enough—he wants you under his thumb. You'll give in. You'll see that the only way is his way.

Hi, i just found your blog and i love your Legend of Korra fics, especially the hcs for a best friend reader x korra! Can i request something between a nonbender fem!reader who's actually best friends with korra and her loving gf Asami. Sometimes it seems that the reader and korra share a singular braincell lol, and she can be quite cheeky and stubborn, she loves to push korra's buttons and see what will happen next. So my idea was that the 3 girls were hanging out together, and then the reader starts teasing korra, maybe about something embarrassing that has happened to her or something, until korra has enough of her crap and tackles her down (or uses her bending or wtv) and tickles the sh!t out of her until she remembers not to destroy the Avatar's dignity right in front of her girlfriend smh.

It’s been a day of walking around Republic City, shopping, eating, and talking. Honestly, you were exhausted. The sun was shining down on you all day, your calves ached, and your shoes were starting to mend with the ground. 

You found yourself ecstatic when Asami finally declared it was time to go home. 

Now laying on the couch with your feet propped up on someone’s lap, (you didn’t care to find out who’s), you happily watched tv while munching on the leftovers you three bought earlier today. 

“No! Please Laohan,” the girl on the show begged. She clasped her hands together as she kneeled in front of the tall man. “I wanna be with you! I wanna stay with you!” the girl was dressed in dark green royal wear, in a castle that was decorated with the colors red and brown. 

Korra scoffed. “She should’ve thought of that before she cheated on him!”

“You should’ve thought of that before you cheated on me,” said Laohan, the man in red. He shook his leg to loosen the girl’s grip. He tried to walk away. She wailed and wailed until he was finally able to walk away without her. 

Korra gasped. “He just said what I said! See, I told you he and I are like two peas in a pod.”

“Or the script is terribly predictable,” Asami commented, looking over at her girlfriend with a sly and unamused look. Korra stuck her tongue out.

“Whatever. It just proves Laohan’s an awesome person just like me.”

You cackled, a little louder than intended. 

Korra deadpanned. “What? Am I not an awesome person?” “No, no, you’re a great person, Kor,” you snickered. 

“That’s not what I said though.” the Avatar positioned herself so that she faced you head on. “Loahan is an awesome person, just like me. We’re both cool, great leaders, and we have so much coolness that it translates well in stressful moments such as a lady begging for your love and forgiveness.” the girl gestured to the screen.

Loahan was now in a meeting, ignoring the girl who begged for his forgiveness again. 

“Mm, I’m not so sure about that second one, Korra,” you looked over at her. “I’ve seen you freak out over Asami just because she looked your way.” Asami chuckled as you go on. “This was before you even knew you liked her, by the way.”

The Avatar scoffed. “Okay, so?”

“Sooo, while she may not have been asking for your forgiveness or begging you to wed her, you were still a mess because she was sooooo pretty and it was soooo unfair that Mako had a pretty girlfriend like her and not you,” you smirked, watching the Avatar scramble around with a blush on her face. “Okay, but, that was one time.”

“Au Contarie. It was multiple times. One was when we were having dinner before you two got together, another was when she was riding a motorcycle and took her helmet off and her hair was flowing freely with the wind, and another time was whe--”

“OKAY!” Korra exclaimed. Her face matched the red on Asami’s jacket. “So, there were a couple of times where I freaked out over Asami’s beauty but, can you blame me?” She grabs the fire nation woman by the waist. “She’s pretty, smells nice, and makes some cool ass stuff.” 

Asami awed. She kissed Korra’s cheek and moved some of her hair from her face. “Thank you, Kor. That’s really sweet.”

“Yeah, yeah,” You rolled your eyes. “but you’re still a bit of a wreck. Most definitely not as cool or nonchalant as Loahan.” you paused the tv show. You guys were talking too much. It was important to see every single scene in this show. Look away for one second and suddenly the show’s in a different time period with new characters who speak a different language.  “Okay, now I’m starting to think you just want to embarrass me.” Korra frowned. 

“Nope, just want to squash your ego a bit.”

“Hey now,” Asami started. “Let’s play nice. No need to get all feisty and mean.” 

“I’m not mean! I’m just reliving memories. Like, do you remember that time when we all went out for ice cream and Korra got that triple scoop? And then as we walked back to the car, she tripped over some rocks and then–”

Korra tackled you off the couch and onto the ground. She scrambled as you try to break away from her grip with a laugh. 

“Korra!! Let me go!”

“No! You talk too much and I’ve had enough of you exposing me in front of my girlfriend!!” 

You thought Korra tackling you to the ground was the only thing she was going to do to keep you quiet. Unfortunately, you were wrong. Her hands found their way to your sensitive sides and she started tickling the shit out of you.

You squirmed more and laughter escaped your lips; trying to escape out of her grip was impossible. Though her hands devilishly tickled your sides and messed with the skin, her hold on you was strong. 

It was torture. 

Her fingers skillfully danced across your skin. Her nails made the tickling even worse. She purposefully made sure to graze her fingernails over your stomach as you squirmed underneath her.

With tears in the corner of your eyes, you pleaded the Avatar for mercy.

“Please! Please,” you begged between laughter. “I’ll be good, I promise! I won’t say anything.”

Korra pinned your hands to your sides. Her eyes narrowed as she made eye contact. “You swear?”

You panted. Desperate, you shook your head yes. 

“Eh, I don’t believe you.” Her hands attacked your sides again.

“Korra!” Asami removed her hands from your side. She glared at her girlfriend who was pouting and laughing at the same time.

“Hey, I was having fun!” Korra whined.

“Oh, come on. They deserve mercy. They apologized!”

Asami was right. Your sides ached and tears of laughter slid down your face. Your face probably changed in color from how much you were laughing and the lack of breath you had. You turned onto your side to catch your breath.

Korra groaned. “Fine!” She ripped her hands away from Asami’s. “That better be the last time you try to expose me in front of my girlfriend, got it?” Korra jabbed a finger into your thigh.

You exhaled and waved a hand at her. “Swear. Never again.”

I really do hate how much contemporary art wings or museums give me headaches. It's like sensory hell 90% of the time:

The worst soul sucking vibrating white on the walls. Brighter than landlord white. Brighter than dorm room white. It's neon white. Death to white box rooms in galleries and museums. Hate that shit. Smh it's worse than neutral greige.

Floors are also usually terrible. Shiny concrete or hospital chic tile type of shit. Everything is literally colder because of it. Bring back polished old wood and carpet!!! Or cream/ivory tile!!

ACTUAL neon and flashing lights are unfortunately common and while I don't normally find those to be a huge issue, see them combined with above white paint and despair. Had a contemporary curator guest lecturer berate me in grad school for politely asking to move away from the loud room with pulsing lights in order to focus on the discussion better bc I could feel a headache building.

(I also disliked her immensely because she assigned pretentious overwritten contemporary curatorial readings but knew very little about museum theory and also got mad when I pointed out someone's mock exhibition proposal on a staircase was LITERALLY wheelchair inaccessible. All those stupid fucking readings on diversity and the contemporary art world or whatever the fuck and me saying "hey if this exhibition was literally mounted going up a staircase, how will people with disabilities access it?" Was apparently an appallingly rude critique of a final project which was meant to be as realistic as possible and not the most basic fucking question of accessibility. I still get so angry whenever I think about it. A whole class of curatorial theory and "okay but how do people see that cool art if they can't walk on stairs?" Was something No one else in the room considered. Dumb. Pure contemporary curatorial theory is divorced from reality entirely.)

Too many pieces have audio clips on repeat, and an unfortunately large number of the audio sounds are discordant or unpleasant on purpose. Shrieks, squeals, chanting, whatever. Volume levels are never standardized (it can alternate quiet and LOUD) and shit frequently echoes. How tf did I not go insane when I was student working front desk at a contemporary art museum?? Even if there's headphones you can often still hear the buzzing noise coming from outside them. Very specific form of torture when you experience it for several hours on repeat. Especially the quiet humming of the lights or electronics and repetitive audio.

Video clips with light flickering, flashing, or color changes are fine for me briefly or alone but for more than ten minutes? Death.

It was Riddle and Heartslabyul’s overall aesthetic that got me interested in twst! Red is a staple color in my wardrobe, and I adore the lolita-esque nature of Riddle’s dorm uniform!!!! I looked into twst more after seeing that. When I happened upon Octavinelle, I immediately skipped them to look at other characters. orz but now here I am in the present day, trapped under the thumbs of the mermafia…

It's why Christine is one of my favorite females. I love that she's based on the phantom of the opera, (she even has the main characters name, or was it the actress? I forgot) but she has the mask and everything. Hell they gave her Victorian Era clothing too. People crap on bombom I've seen but honestly he's not a bad artist. Also her OG design is honestly pretty baller too, gives me butterfly vibes with her old mask and dress color.

Gosh yes!! I understand why they changed Christine's design into a more toned down look, but both are still very pretty! And Maria is so cute and you have to respect that she carries tf out of the Missionaries!

I'm such a BomBom defender frfr 😪 He's not even a terrible artist and he has clearly improved over the years. I'm not taking a bullet for some of the hands on these characters, but still. I think that BomBom just happens to shine when he's drawing what he's really interested in (medieval fantasy core). Seriously, if you take a look at any of his characters with that fantasy look going on, you'll see the crazy amount of detail his puts into the outfits alone.

And BomBom female characters? Don't get me started. I've said this before, but I really do love BomBom women. They look so cute. The way he draws eyes really makes them pop. Also, like, I don't know how to word this, but the BomBom girlies are so pretty in a casual way? Probably not the word I'm looking for, but iykyk. Plus they didn't even need to be lewded to get simps?? Can't even explain myself. Just know that I love women.

I'm sorry that I'm gonna say this but THE 👏 NEW 👏 HDD 👏 DESIGNS 👏 LOOK 👏 ABSOLUTELY 👏 TERRIBLE 👏

Like the stained glass + marching band concept is so good and I would LOVE to die for an interesting mix and match of colors, patterns, and fabrics while retaining it's charm and what we got is...

1. The colors are too vibrant and some don't clash together (looking at you Solomon and Asmodeus)

2. The music notes that are all over the place as if their ronly prompt was "Music" and so they had to stick to it. I know we had a concept of show don't tell but come on (ESPECIALLY MAMMON'S T-SHIRT) Like damn bitch what are you wearing?

3. The hats. Either some characters don't need them (like Beel) or do need them (like Belphie to fully complete his bland ass outfit.)

4. Just flat out plain. No spice. The stained glass looks tacky and I can't even phantom how do you put on these outfits? Very inefficient and I WAS IN A MARCHING BAND MYSELF. I HAVE SEEN BETTER OUTFITS MADE WITH THE CHEAPEST FABRICS‼️⁉️

I love this franchise and all but I was disappointed to say the least. Since, I swear the bunny boy outfits were 10 TIMES BETTER than what we got 😔the cards do them justice but it is not enough to suffice for the lack of cohesion in these designs.

Diavolo has the most decent outfit imo and...oh lord... Don't get me started on Solomon and Barbatos...😭😭😭

as far as canons go, they are my lil glorbo's. i have a thing for main characters, especially underrated main characters. naruto and atsushi are just my lil guys that i heavily relate to in one aspect or another. i'm writing an alt verse of atsushi but i love atsushi's character in general ( i've considered adding his canon self ) john has been a recent add to this blog and just...i really love FAITH, the game hits all the good religious trauma / horror notes for me. i love a priest who is dabbling with his faith and loyaltys. as for my oc's well, some of them i've had for years ( dom and mia ) but a lot of them are new since i made this blog and i love each of them differently but deeply.

ok i decided im gonna post not only about my diy tattoos but also my equipment and my learning process cause i think it would be cool to share!! just to reiterate im just some guy with a tattoo machine im not a tattoo artist (this is obvious in my work) and i only do tats for fun. post starts under the cut!!!

so first is my equipment - the machine i use is the solong brand wireless rotary pen. yes its a stupidly cheap machine i bought it because i wasnt ready to invest in "real" stuff. however i find that it works wonderfully for linework and very basic shading which is exactly what i use it for so i have no issue with it

my preferred ink is world famous brand blackout black, which i make a gray wash with for shading. i havent used color at all yet and im not sure if i even want to because personally i just prefer black and gray tattoos

next is some of my work on fake skins, this one is my first skin while i was just learning how the machine worked and figuring out hand speed and depth:

shes musty!!! i was proud of the shark at the time though because getting straight lines is extremely hard.

this one is the first full size piece i did, also on fake skin:

i planned on coming back to shade it at some point but i haven't gotten around to it. after i did this one i felt confident enough to start working on real skin so i did my first one on myself:

the first time i did it, i didn't go deep enough and lost a lot of ink. so i waited for it to heal and gave it a second pass, which i went too deep with. its an objectively bad tattoo but i do love it. its located above my knee.

after the dunes tattoo i became delusional about my skill for some reason and i ripped frank ieros "hey jealousy" tattoo. this one is my worst work.

we dont talk about her. its on my upper left thigh, almost in hip territory. it was such a terribly awkward place to tattoo and that area hurt pretty bad.

after this one i took a break to go back to fake skin and dabble in packing/shading:

i love this one and im so mad i tattooed another fake skin over top of it and went deep enough for the ink to ruin this one. i was really proud of the shading, even though the packing on the shirt area was not great. its hard to pack the ink into silicone.

then i thought it would be fun and easy to tattoo my own ass. would never recommend this to anyone. its so painful to twist that way, its impossible to stretch the skin, and its hard to gauge your depth. you can see blowouts where i went too deep and spots where i lost ink in this one

yet somehow that 3 has got the most solid lines ive ever pulled. i cant explain how.

i took a small break from tattooing for a while after this, regretting the ones id done on myself. but they grew on me again and i love them because they were created with love and passion. my most recent one, which i did about 4 months ago, is a sprig of lavender directly next to the dunes logo

this one is my favorite that ive done and i feel like you can definitely see improvement at this point. it did lose ink in the leaf area, but i do kind of like the patchy look?? i also like the thinner linework and the biggest improvement i noticed in this one is that theres no huge blowouts.

The whole scene in the opening of ep 6 is terribly cute. Ruan Baijie exposed as a drama sprite who was faking his injury, but Lin Quishi just accepts this in good humor as he's told this was just to "bring us closer" and for fun. Another round of, you're really picking me? but why?

He really does the, 'come closer' move to make your crush get up close so you can create a sense of intimacy with hushed voices smh

Our protagonist thinks he's back in reality and only 15 minutes have passed. But of course that's not true: whether he entered the game time A, B, C, or it's the 12th Door theory... he's still in-play.

A roommate?? This must be the Wei what's his face, his One Friend I recall from the novel. With the girlfriend.

A gurgling stomach growl from Ruan Nanxhu & Lin Quishi takes the initiative to stand up and make himself at home to cook for the man who's obviously being positioned as his love interest. (Like in The Untamed & Word of Honor, we're not being terribly subtle here.)

This is the 3rd time we've seen an instinctive caretaking gesture from him towards Nanzhu and the last moment as we fade out is the "boss man" looking down at his newly bestowed bandage and obviously GOING THRU IT. He's making this sigh and curling his fingers and everything.

side note: Lin Quishi is getting flashes of himself trapped under rubble. This is the second time we see them. Are they flash backs? Of a past event he survived, giving him baggage to carry? OR are we circling back again to my alternate, alternate theory that an evil VR game is part of the illusion and this IS the supernatural Doors from the novel that terminal people can get a chance to enter, to prolong or possibly prevent your death? (if so, then Ruan Nanzhu is still indeed the 12th door god. and Lin Quishi must decide to remain in the fantasy or exit & return to reality?)

It's really sad that the Shadow android concept was wasted because it was a really cool concept with awesome potential. In the Devil Doom fight Eggman was all like "I rescued you 🥺" and people are like aww so sweet lol but he was actually such a terrible bastard with a fucked up scheme all the way through.

He had a robot retrieve Shadow after SA2 and kept it a secret while he studied him and used him to successfully create tons of android clones of the Ultimate Lifeform which is really impressive, he came up with those epic versions in multiplayer mode in ShtH 2005 with cool colors and guns for arms, and tried to gaslight Shadow into thinking he had no past, pretend he was just another android clone, and use him as a tool to help him fight of the Black Arms and GUN and collect emeralds for his "master." Which is so deeply selfish when the world is in danger.

Not only did he act entitled and claim ownership to Shadow due to him being his grandfather's creation but he had to go ahead and gaslight and manipulate him into thinking he created him. To convince him he isn't a being with free will and any purpose other than blindly carrying out his orders without question, even when he deals with confusion and distress about glimpses of his dark memories. Eggman just tells him none of it is real. It's so much more fucked up than people seem to realize just because they didn't do it like Starline with Surge and Kit smh

And the bastard wasn't even sorry, he didn't really feel guilty and he never apologized to Shadow. He just shrugged off the way Shadow seemed 'upset' with him after finding out what he did. Because fucked up manipulation is nothing new to him and he doesn't feel an ounce of guilt.

The concept was surely supposed to be something bigger, considering the Shadow androids were eerily shown a whole game before Shadow 2005. I really wish they hadn't shoved Eggman, the androids, and his manipulation aside for more focus on GUN and the Black Arms alone, as he's just as important to his story as the grandson of his creator. They ended making it such a small underused concept like it was nothing and just had him suddenly turned against and killed in three different endings in underwhelming ways.

But the idea and its potential has always fascinated me and that's why I've created my own alternate story path exploring this concept much deeper, it's been developing more over time for years and I hope to share the whole thing someday!

1. The new chapter after the whole judgment arc is called consequences. Hmm, I would think that would be the consequences that Persephone has to deal with… but nope! Zeus is the one with problems, he is the one who made mistakes; the terrible crime of judge the sweet, innocent and pure Persephone in a court for a crime she día committed… his work. You know, I'm starting to feel more sorry for him than for our "beloved" leads, who suffer the punishment of not being able to… drool over each other? I don't even know anymore.

(oh, and the whole change of mood of the chapter, starting serious with the Zeus part, and becoming a joke when the narrative jumps to Persephone flirting with a tree doesn't help)

2. In one of the new fast pass episodes, Zeus hosts a coronation for Apollo and Artemis. He allows each of them to make one request of him. Apollo asks that Leto’s banishment be revoked while Artemis asks to be banished to the mortal realm alongside Persephone instead of asking for her friend to be brought back smh… what a waste of a request! Zeus literally said she could ask for anything and she couldn’t even get that right…

3. I don’t think Rachel knows what it means to call Hades by his epithets that include Zeus (Ex, Zeus of the Departed, Zeus of the Underworld, or the Other Zeus)….

NGL, it's honestly kind of impressive that RS is pushing 40, has an art degree, has been working on this series for the better part of a decade, and had a huge team of helpers and yet she's only gotten WORSE as an artist. Why are Hades' lips so over-rendered? Why does Persephone looks like a neon colored cryptid? Why is the series claiming to be about Persephone yet has HIM as the focus once again?
