Watch “Joy of Life” they said, it will be fun, they said... I was laughing, but I was also fecken crying!!!
I was in the countryside and for some reason, tumblr wasn’t working on my travel laptop (it’s light, easy to bring around but has an old operating system, needs updating). What to do while lounging? Well, watch Asian drama! Bad decision really, relaxing flies out the window and you get really invested. Defeats the whole purpose of going to the country and not doing anything!
My “Dramapocalypse“ peeps, why, oh, why, do you give me dramas with the most convoluted plots?!!! Unfortunately for me, I loved this!!! but most unfortunate of all is... it’s not bloody finished!!! and it looks like, we are going to wait for a long while... and some of the cast might not be the same because of scheduling issues, and talent fee issues, which means the plot line might drastically change!!! You must really hate me to make me love this and make me wait!!!! I was blissfully ignorant of this cdrama!!! Why did you all drag me into this!!! (I know, I know, loads of exclamation points!!!)
‘Uncle’ Wu Zhu was... whoaaaaa, *fans self* Come to think of it, majority of the characters that I love are the strong stoic types.
I love, love Little Bamboo - Xiǎo Zhúzi! Sad that he did not have many screen time. Oh, and I’m 100% sure he is an AI!
So, my dear “Horsemen”... I’m not going to listen to you anymore!!!
I was tagged by @terribleteej to share 5 random things abt me. I will tag @randomtickleewriterstudent and @lelitachay, should you be interested to play. And anyone else interested.
Rules are simple: List five things you want your followers to know. It can be very simple or very specific. Then you tag at least 10 people.
And adding on @terribleteej‘s note here since I wholeheartedly agree:
And I will add, for safety’s sake, make the information you impart as discreet as possible.
Alrighty here we go
1. I am, shamefully, extremely ignorant of popular culture. I have those really specific shows or movies or musicals I like and fixate on for several years and that’s it. I’m 1000000% sure @terribleteej has watched more C Drama and recognizes more Chinese actors than I do. Not to even mention J Drama and K Drama..
2. Frozen was the first princess movie I ever watched, and I watched it at a friends home years after it showed in theater and the hype with Let It Go. It is still one of the only three princess movies I’ve ever watched, if you don’t count Frozen II. I have also never read/watched Harry Porter.
3. According to my friends my sense of humor is very like Toph from ATLA. I am VERY proud of that and that’s the nicest compliment I’ve ever received. If possible I really would love to have that line recorded and listen to it when i’m feeling dow-
4. I used to be REALLY into anime and shonen manga, which was how I picked up some Japanese. I’ve never formally learned its grammar and sentence structures so I can’t speak it, but I can pick up enough words to understand basic meanings. There used to be a time when I could understand Japanese better than English. Goes to show how bad my English was.
5. I am horridly bad at games, especially games that requires players to have short reaction time. It stresses me out so much that I think maybe studying gives me more sense of achievement. So far I’ve played Ace Attorney series, some Rusty Lake, and maybe one or two Pokemons, but that’s it. I do have sudoku installed in my phone and play it often.
I was tagged by the lovely @stebeee *and* the equally lovely @florbexter! :D

I’m gonna go with random facts about my life. :D
1. I used to sing My Heart Will Go On in a rep show in Tunisia wearing a sequined gown and a replica of the Heart of the Ocean necklace, both loaned to me by a drag queen whose favourite movie was Titanic and who proclaimed himself my biggest fan after hearing me sing it. :D
2. My brother was born on my dad’s birthday. My dad got his youngest child of three, the only boy, his only son and heir, as a birthday present. Not only that but my dad turned 50 and my brother turned 18 on the same day. Their star sign is Gemini - the twins.
3. I won the school prize for poetry 4 times in the 7 years I was at my high school.
4. I met David Walliams in the cafe at the Tate Modern in London and had an entire conversation with him about feeding babies without realising it was him... I had sat down next to him in a rush to feed my hungry baby and I got talking to his mum and sister (who were sat with him) and him as I fed her but I never actually looked around at the man sat right next to me - it was only when he got up to go to the toilet and I looked up as he was walking back to the table that I realised who I’d been talking to. :D
5. I went to a Stargate convention when 6 months pregnant, wearing a home-made t-shirt that said “Another Stargate fan in the making” across my bump. When I had my photo taken with Jason Momoa he read my t-shirt, went “Awwww!” and posed for the photo with one arm around me and the other hand pointing at my tummy and with a big grin on his face. :D
hey, here’s a friendly reminder that your original content is incredible!!! let’s spread some support by sharing this message to 10 other blogs whose creations you love, and don’t break the chain ❤️✨ have a great day/night and remember that you’re loved!!!
In ancient times, Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) is an unbeatable general in wars, but the young King (Kim Min-Jae) is jealous of Kim Shin and kills him. Kim Shin becomes Dokkaebi (Goblin), possessing an immortal life. At first he thinks that he is blessed, but he realizes that he is cursed.
Closer to the present day, Kim Shin has waited 900 years for a human bride to end his immortal life. One night, he saves a dying pregnant woman (Park Hee-Von) who is destined to die. Meanwhile, the Grim Reaper (Lee Dong-Wook) is unable to find the dead pregnant woman. The woman gives birth to a baby girl named Ji Eun-Tak (later played by Kim Go-Eun). 9 years later, Ji Eun-Tak lives with her mother and is able to see ghosts. One night, her mother suddenly dies. On that night, she meets the Grim Reaper.
In the present day, Ji Eun-Tak is a high school student. She still sees ghosts and hears their whisper of “Dokkaebi’s bride.” She now lives with her aunt’s family, but she is mistreated by them. On her birthday, Ji Eun-Tak sits by the sea with a lighted birthday cake. At that time, Kim Shin suddenly appears in front of her. Kim Shin does not know why, but he can hear her voice and appears in front of her against his will. Coincidentally, Kim Shin lives with the Grim Reaper at the same house.
Now, Kim Shin appears in front of her against his will, whenever she turns off the lights. One day, Ji Eun-Tak tells him that he is Dokkaebi and she is his bride.

Favorite movie: Either The Lake House with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock ("time travel" with a HEA) or Safe Passage with Susan Sarandon (a woman on the verge of a divorce is stuck at home with her on and off blind husband and six sons while they wait for news on her seventh son whose military base in Iraq was just bombed; it's honestly hilarious.)
Least favorite movie: Elysium.
Last movie you watched: The Yin-Yang Master with Deng Lun on Netflix. Great movie!
Favorite anime movie: I don't remember any anime movies I've watched so let's go with anime: Tactics or No. 6!
Your comfort movie: The Mummy with Brendan Fraser?
Favorite movie character: James McAvoy's Professor X.
Shoujo or shounen: I don't care. As long as the story is good.
If you could shift into a movie universe, which one: I have no idea. They all look interesting on-screen but to actually live in them? Kinda... nah-ah. Yes, I'm a scaredy cat.
Currently listening to: Sleeping at Last Podcast - Enneagram series
