The Happy Mask Salesman, but make it aesthetic (or something).

Just some regular everyday things like accidentally having fallen asleep on his desk, wiping his mouth, being shot in the spine. Nbd.

Basically, just some posing studies with the muse.

Bottom pose references Brendan Saye by Karolina Kuras, and the other two above are made up of several different references mashed together. (The doodle at the bottom was improvised for a space filler, as badass as it came out.)

The concept of him in a giant kitty pile giggling ridiculously was too good to pass up. ✨️🌱

This ask inspired possibly the greatest thing I have ever drawn in my entire life. I am yelling. This took, like, three times as long as my usual pieces (probably because I hardly EVER draw animals).

Your ask made me want to draw that expression, but then I had the thought of drawing a bunch of his expressions, and then when I sat down to do it, it turned into semi-realism sketches? I hope thats alright, haha🫠!

I'll do you one better! What if he WAS an Inkling/Octoling?

I chose Octoling for the eye type and silly teeth... He sells headgear. I gave him the Chili Octo Aloha shirt and the Arrow Toesies Blu shoes. (Maybe his headgear slot is filled by an Octoling glamour mask?) If he had a weapon, I think he'd use the Tri-Stringer (of course).

Night Terrors

I drew this in my sketchbook back in July of 2021, a concept of our favourite salesman waking up in a cold sweat from something that haunts him in his dreams. I had never gotten around to digitizing it, but I pulled it out to show @swoodthis and realized that "finishing" and rendering it digitally would have taken away a lot of the sketchy, black and white roughness that gives it its horrified charm. I've grown to like it the way it is, so, I'm finally just declaring it done and posting it. :]

Happy Mask Salesman: Fits

Chose two outfits from the HMS artist community to draw him in while practicing. First is @redrumrose's outfit and the second is @happymaskshoppe's... "outfit" which I am using as an excuse to 1. Not have to draw clothes 2. Draw him shirtless (it's a win-win for me)! I just doodled a bust of him in the corner to fill space because I love him sm.
