The wildflowers are all in bloom here, so I wanted to imagine Crowley and Aziraphale enjoying the warm sunshine, cool breeze, sound of bees buzzing and feeling safe enough to just relax and enjoy the comfort of being together.
The flowers shown are the Texas mountain laurel, Texas sunflower, lemon beebalm, firewheel, and bluebonnets.
I’m also on Twitter, Instagram and AO3.

No fungi today, but I had to give some love to all the wildflowers in the park.
Pictured we have:
Cutleaf daisy 》 Engelmannia peristenia (1st image)
Fire wheel 》 Gaillardia pulchella (2nd image)
And of course, Texas Bluebonnets 》 Lupinus texensis 💙
I wasn't able to identify the little butterfly that was resting in that flower, but the little fella is just adorable.
No prairie fire 》 Castilleja indivisa (my favorite native wildflower) in this spot but my god, the roadsides on my drive to school are alive and bursting with colors. It really cheers me up after a rough day.

This past week I went for a walk with a dear friend of mine on this big nature trail in our city. We walked the 1 mile path twice, and saw lots of interesting plants and even some old, dried up Oyster mushrooms! We also saw a rabbit foraging in the underbrush! These are some of the plants that I saw and learned the identification of! I definitely plan to continue researching these beautiful plants <3
1 - 2 ) Texas Thistle (Cirsium texanum)
3 - 4 ) Mexican Palo Verde (Parkinsonia aculeata)
5 ) Texas Vervain (Verbena halei)

The Bluebonnet
The Bluebonnet is the Texas State flower, known for only growing naturally in Texas and no other location in the world. Funnily enough, there are 5 classified species of Bluebonnets.
These are photos I took of some rare Bluebonnet variants in the wild, which I found this Spring! The White or Albino Bluebonnet and the Light Bluebonnet, respectfully. (The last picture has some extremely dark colored bluebonnets). Finding different color variants of this one flower is so fun! The Bluebonnet is one of my favorite wildflowers :>

Rest.
Rest allows for clarity.
Rest rejuvenates.
It is so much more than sleep,
It is a sacred pause.
A deep breath.
A loud exhale.
Rest is productive.
To care for yourself,
is an act of rebellion.
