Peter Parker was not good at secrets, but he was good at hiding his web slinging identity didn’t he?

Or so he thought.

He had no idea you have known about his secret identity for weeks. Every time he had shown up to class, he had an extra bruise under his eye. He just blamed it on him being clumsy, which you believed for a while.

That’s until Peter showed up one day with cuts allover his face, your suspicions started to increase.

Then you caught onto his act. Why was his skin all scraped and bloody all the time? Every time you guys had plans did he ended up making some lame excuse. You thought he wanted nothing to do with you, you thought he didn’t want to he your friend anymore.

But you connected the dots, him acting suspicious and sneaking off, whenever you went over to his Aunt Mays he was never there. Both him and Ned acting weird whenever you walk over to them mid conversation, it made so much sense.

Currently you were in your room, at your desk with Peter next to you, you were both studying for a test in a few but if you were being completely honest you weren’t studying at all, you were clicking your pen constantly which raised Peter’s suspicion.

“You okay?” He asks, eyeing you carefully.

You don’t reply, but you drop your pen onto your desk and spin your chair round to look at him. “Were ever going to tell me?” You question.

“…Tell you what?”

You lean closer to him, to whisper so your parents didn’t overhear your conversation. “That you’re Spider-Man.”

Peter started stuttering at your words, “What? I’m not Spider-Man, what makes you think that?”

“The sneaking off, the bruises, the cuts and scratches you always have on your cheekbones. I notice every detail about you, even if it’s the tiniest thing.” You confess, your eyes never leaving his.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t want you to get hurt, I don’t want anything happening to you if I told you.” He apologises, running his hands through his hair as he stands up, you following after him.

You hesitate for a moment before placing your hands on both of his cheeks, Peter’s hands going to your shoulders. “The only thing thats hurting me is you keeping secrets from me.”

“I’m sor—” You shake your head, stopping him from apologising.

“Don’t apologise.”

“Sor- I almost done it there again.” He laughs making you join him. Too caught up in the moment you both never realised how closer to eachother you got. You could feel his breath on your face making your face flush the colour of his Spider-Man suit.

“Can I—” You never let him finish his sentence again, nodding quickly.

Peter captures your lips with his, you swore you felt a surge of electric glide from his mouth into yours. Its slow, but passionate. He’s patient with you, one of his hands moving to your waist and one of your hands moving to his neck.

You both pulled apart catching your breath as you leaned your forehead against his, making him wince.

You panic slightly, “Whats wrong?”

You move the hair from his forehead, seeing a purple bruise on his forehead. “It’s okay.” He tries to assure you.

You kiss the part of the temple where he had the bruise, making him smile at you. It’s like his pain went away.

loves impromptu dates. if the two of you drive past the aquarium and you see that it's got a new special exhibit, he's immediately pulling over so the two of you can go check it out -- even if he doesn't care or if it's something he's not usually interested in, he can tell from the little lilt in your voice when you get excited about something, so he'll stop everything just for you 🥺

angry gamer guy for sure 💀 i can just see him yelling into the mic at jean about dying too much when they're playing some shooter game or something. but in between games (if you're not hanging out in the room with him) he'll call you to come over so he can get a good luck kiss from you before the next match (cue jean gagging in discord)

(which happens more often than you think...) i like to think while this is an easy way out for rei, it is an absolute nightmare and a headache for the rest of his family 😌 (they probably would have to deal with unwanted attention because rei doesn't give a shit about keeping a low profile and people may tie him to the Morozovs 🤗 they also may struggle to come up with cover stories as these arson incidents become more frequent - because rei is the type of person who values quantity over quality, where he challenges himself to complete multiple assassinations so he can receive praise from his family 😂🤪 and it also doesn't help that he would rather cut corners and take the easy way out when it comes to his work) luka and jackal: " these fires are getting out of hand, we can't keep doing this... okay tysm for answering my other question, I've been confused by those timelines forever ! also like.. what happens in national anthem?? 😭 past chapter 4 it gets like super confusing for me.

ok so im going to summarise the whole plot as best i can issue 4 and onwards under the cut xoxo warning for general bitchiness bc jfc dude the comic was not good

so the gang have picked up kara 100/kara jeong, who is at this point injured and seperated from her husband. we get a few panels of The Scarecrow (this doesnt really matter, bc gway does fuck all with it outside of being a figure that chases the gang from this point on). theres an exchange of "you go to hospitals to die" which, ok, but its the lead up for going to see the Phoenix Witch.

we get a look at the B T global/Sterelax company, made up of different people from the old AKA gangs and their whole control over everything is... kind of shown i guess. cut back to the killjoys, we get the incredibly bad taste choice of phoenix witch and theres some weird magic-y shit done to kara to help with mike watching on. Max and Sofia are outside, arguing over if the sterelax sanitising everything is good or bad. They notice Jaime is gone - hes snuck into the cave to see what the phoenix witch is doing. the next pages are confusing, but basically its some weird mindshare thing that somehow clues mike and jaime into the fact mike is jaimes father. and then we get the startof jaime sort of shunning sofia? (like???)

so sofie tries to sneak into B T, theres a facial scanner, weirdly pings her as Maria and before she can really process that she gets caught and jumps out a window. from here is some "the killjoys are hunted" stuff, not really plot relevant tbh. They meet up with the weirdss and find old gear, theres questionable jaime interactions, the Sterelax folks catch up o them, theres a brawl, we get the next location to go to - new york

we get a brief scene of kara and max catching up, sofia and mike arguing about why maria turned up on company files, karas husband turns up but hes brainwashed(?), in a stunning show of fatherly behaviour mike laughs at jaime nearly killing a guy, jaime has a "my real mom" moment, everyone fucks off.

then fight scene -> old radio guy gets killed but like he had no plot relevance so w/e -> scarecrow still alive -> sofia tries to use her powers that dont work without maria but they do rn which! wow!

anyways they get to new york, books on tape guy is like haha before u kill me i have a surprise lol and bring out blue. we get a flashback of when mike fucked off w blues body and then handed it over to books on tape and chose to forget, jaime and mike run to this Maria whos been brought out, sofia rightly is like ok obvs this is fucked and sends kara and max to find mom+dad. they do, find out their conteolled by BT rn, get in a fight w the scarecrow and kill it and pull the plug on m&d. mikes like ready to go along w/ sterelax and the sofias like wake the fuck up man and then mike eventually realises maria is fake.

then he takes the body and... dresses it in the old clothes (thats weird!) and puts his ramones records on (get better taste pls!) and blows uo the car w the body in (my guy one of ur friends has a gunshot wound tf dude. also u drove everyone here).

anyways we get the epilogue which is mike is a manager at a store and lives w jaime and literally none of the other killjoys are mentioned/seen at all. mike watches cop chows and it ends w him and jaime going on a walk. :/

so like yeah genuinely sucked imo but w/e there were colours i guess. eh. weird anti med shit and also? the racism babes.... anyways yeah thats it

he tucks her head back into his chest and lets her cry it out, his own hands fisted in the apron she'd dirtied to make him happy, eyes moistening.

yuno's heart lurches, his breath not quite reaching his lungs anymore. the hallway is dark, empty, looming without his boys — he's quick to rush towards their shared room, a chant of no, no,– clouding his mind until he sees the two curled up under their blanket.

they let him slip off the blanket with little resistance, eyebrows furrowing when yuno's palms rest against their cheeks, their father's eyes softening apologetically.
