Anyone know if there are any transformers discord groups that formed off of tumblr? The tumblr search function is a nightmare and I haven’t found anything. Unfortunately, it feels like since MTMTE ended, a lot of tf fans of the comics went on to other fandoms. It could be the awful search function here, but I’m not seeing a lot of content for the new tf comic unless people have migrated to a new site (discord/twitter).

My feels on IDW2

Issue 6 was a blast to read through, mostly because I love looking at the dynamics between Pre-war OP and Megs. Amazing dialogue, loved the bit about equilibrium, done splendidly in ways that felt natural and at the same time poetic.

Art is gorgeous in this panel, we got some answers but still have enough missing little pieces to keep the mystery going. Really getting a lot more backstory to how Megs and OP ended up awkward acquaintances and how the situation in Cybertron came about. Love the little skydiving bit as well, great contrast between the fun and light hearted moments framed by the more solemn and serious parts. Great issue, almost up there with issue 2 I would say

Ok so quickly, spoilers, duh

We got it heavily heavily implied that arcee is in a relationship with another female bot! There's still the sliiiiiiightest chance it might be "sike they're just bffs" or something but I highly doubt it so I'm going to take this as confirmation

I think this is a good sign of what's to come in terms of lgbt rep in the new tf, because for ruckley to state that arcee, a very prevalent character in tf, is a lesbian so early in the comic shows that he isn't worried about anyone who might be like "oh boo hoo I came here expecting something different from mtmte!" in terms of the romance.

But hey. Just remember that we are still going to be getting something totally different from mtmte and ll. There won't ever be anything like those comics, so please don't get mad that this one doesn't have as deep a story/as much nuance/as much emotion as mtmte did alright? We can't expect that.

I just want people to stay calm and try to be optimistic :)

And let us not talk about the Utter Lack of Emotive Facial Expression. 😭 I want to know the Constructicons at a glance, I do, but... Other than Mixmaster's face (simply because it's so unique in comparison), I can't tell any of them fucking apart in these issues except for when their names are used.

I read the stuff he's illustrated (and I use the term loosely) because it's part of the overall story, but DAMN is it difficult to get through artistically.
