Am I a clown for thinking that Marvel is playing the long game with Sharon and she's been replaced by a Skrull or something and it will eventually lead to the reveal in Secret Invasion?
In the comics, the Skrull Queen replaced Jessica Drew - Spiderwoman, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, S.W.O.R.D. agent and an Avenger - but the MCU doesn't have her.
Other than the superpowers, Sharon could fit the bill due to her ties to both S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers. There aren't that many female heroes or superheroes in the MCU who could and be a believable antagonist without immediately telegraphing that something is sus.

Okay, tfatws finale personally *chefs kiss*
I didn't expect anything from this series but fighting sequences and they gave us so much more.
Thoughts on the finale please...
(so much better than wandavision finale, and they didn't ruin the 'Sharon is the power broker' thing like they did with Quicksilver)
Sry to answer so late. It's been 4 months and I only watched the finale once and tbh I don't remember my thoughts after it, except that I enjoyed it. And I didn't saw the 'Sharon is power broker' twist coming so it was surprising for me in a good way.
I didn't expect anything from tfatws either and tbh I didn't think I'd like it but it ended up the only show that I actually enjoyed watching despite not being invested in its characters as much as others. Because everything in it, characterizations, character arcs, pace, writing etc. were done well imo.

What a finale! Cannot believe this absolutely beautiful, moving show has come to an end. It was bumpy at times but I appreciate and praise #Marvel for representing such BIG and important topics that not often are discussed on television! I really hope we get a season 2! But for now, it's been a pleasure watching this show!

I lose braincells every time someone says that Sharon is being “a little morally grey” or being an “anti-hero”
besties.... She took in a teenager, manipulated her, and killed her in cold blood to keep her secrets.
She’s the number 1 crime lord in a country of criminals and bounty hunters.
she is literally a fucking villain. There is no coming back from this. ( unless she’s a skrull or being brainwashed.)
I love Sharon and I’m so pissed they did this. Completely butchered her character,
No not “good for her” or “she’s right. Y’all her motivations are revenge and profit. She literally only cares about herself right now. That’s character assassination.
When episode 3 came out, I was with her completely. She had every right to be angry and call them all out. But this? Gaslighting, manipulating, killing innocents? Funding criminals? That isn’t right.
And no, being pissed that you became a fugitive of your own free will because of a choice YOU made does not excuse that or give her a free pass. No one forced her to help team cap.

Is it “Cap” or is it “Sam”?
I’ve been obsessing over this gif bc Bucky is clearly saying a word in reference to seeing Sam (with heart-eyes galore) saving the armored car full of people.
Tumblr media
I’m not the first person to wonder about this, for the record, I just wanted to give my two cents. I’ve seen several posts on this now and it seems like a lot of people have narrowed it down to either “Cap” or “Sam” (I’ve seen a few other guesses but these two seem to be the most likely IMO). The way Bucky’s moving his lips could work for either of those words (I literally tested this out myself like a dork), but what we’d really need to see is how he’s moving his teeth bc that would look a little different depending on whether he’s pronouncing an “S” or a “C” sound at the beginning. Unfortunately the angle of his head makes it really hard to tell that part.
So now I’m going to come at it from a different perspective. The show makes a point to focus on Sam and Bucky’s conversation after the fight is done and Bucky calls him “Cap.”
Tumblr media
It’s a pretty pivotal moment bc “Cap” is a universally accepted nickname for Captain America. Like, hearing someone call Sam “Cap” makes it really real for the audience. Yes of course the new uniform and using the shield do as well, but again “Cap” is a special term of endearment reserved for those acting as Captain America. With that in mind I don’t think the show would want the first time we see that term used to be on a scene where you can’t really hear or it tell it’s being said, or that Sam isn’t right there to have it said to him. For that reason alone is why I think Bucky is mouthing “Sam.” But I’d love to have someone who is a skilled lip-reader confirm this or not. I could be completely wrong and he’s actually saying “watermelon.”

Love the symbolism of John Walker throwing away his shield, essentially finally letting go of the mantle of Captain America, and then immediately going back to being The American Government’s Bitch like two scenes later
