A drawing I don't think I'll finish. Clearing out the old sketch folders

In case anyone is curious - reason I won't finish this is due to being a BAD BOY and drawing this at potato rez, all on one layer AND (worst crime of all) not planning this illustration! Heavy is too large in composition and leant over Cheavy and...it's just so much effort to change that haha. Also I'm not sure if I'm...artistically confident enough yet to render the foreshortening on Heavy's arm...I might need to do some more studies. What I will probably do is remove Heavy, tweak the camera to a worms eye and have a fullbody of Heavy silhouetted on the horizon with blood and bandolier 'illuminated' within his silhouette. I think it'll look cool and graphic.

In writing this comment I also realised that the environment and Heavy are lit from different directions (head in hands).

People drawing like, sexy gay fanart of the "original tf2 team" as shown in the catch-up comic is unfathomably funny to me. Guys you know that Abraham Lincoln is Pyro, right. You know that "1800s heavymedic" is American folk hero John Henry and real life wacko doctor man Sigmund Freud? If people get the joke and continue with it that's hilarious and also iconic but also idk it feels like sometimes people aren't aware of the Sigmund Freud yaoi they're putting out into the world

This one changed my life. I discovered it and haven’t been the same since. It’s cute, the two main characters are oblivious wee things, but there is canon representation in the older characters. If you like Golden-Retriever-Sunshine-Boy-with-Troubled-Past x Grumpy-Black-Cat-with-Emotionally-Distant-Parents trope, then you’ll love this!

Now, you might think, “Exy isn’t a real sport” and you would be correct. Nora invented it for the novel. It’s like if the basics of lacrosse met the violence of ice hockey and it was played on a football (soccer) sized field with a balance of genders on the teams. This nonsense altered my brain chemistry, for better or worse, we will never know. However. If you seem intrigued, and want to read, PLEASE google the trigger warnings. Anything you think could possibly be triggering is definitely in this book. If you don’t want to google for fear of spoils, feel free to message me. These books are simultaneously the best and worst things I've ever had the (dis)pleasure of reading. I love them. They’re terribly written. They’re a mastery of metaphors set on a background of college sports with a mafia subplot. It’s like if a crazy fanfic got published. ALSO short king representation. Main man is 5’3, second main man is 5’0. I love this to pieces and I hate it to nothings.

You know this one. If you don't, it’s not technically canon, but they buy each other (engagement) rings and kiss (sort of) on screen. Slays. Victor Nikiforov has my heart.

This one makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside i love it so much. There's angst and love and found family and tragic backstories and funny characters. Not canon though. Hashtag Japan Definitely Doesn’t Have a Homophobia Problem and That’s Definitely Not Why All of The Anime’s on This List Aren’t Canon. Anyways, it’s really cute and I watched t when i was in my own skateboarding era so i loved it so much.

imagine the power classic heavy would have had if he did accept medic’s help when he was going out to fight the tf2 mercs

ofc medic would be yknow betraying his own teammates but he was offering his help anyway (what a bastard lmao /hj) but just imagine

medic can literally make a human invincible for a period of time and can bring people back from the dead.

classic heavy would have been fucking unstoppable unless the mercs did manage to kill him anyway (maybe along with medic for betraying them idk) for plot purposes

buuuut he didnt accept medics help and died, he deserved it tho

Because the tfc mercs are the 'evil shadow opposite' of their tf2 counterparts, id like to imagine that tfc medic was a genuine field doctor who cared about his job and the sanctity of it a lot.

Maybe he sincerely tried to heal and help and work with tfc heavy who only pushed him away since "nurses dont belong on the battlefield". Idk what i like better, cheavy just being like that and hating all attempts of cooperation from people he deems lesser than him, or him wanting to get closer with tfc medic but his firm beliefs and insecurities twisting that want into disgust and hatred

Im still torn about what made cmedic not stick with the tfc team in the comic, it could be this attitude they all had finally getting to him, or the much spicier 'cheavy killed him after he got tired of his ass/his own emotions getting too strong to suppress so he had to get rid of the problem'.

Now that i write this i absolutely like the second option more, it kinda makes me see the moment cheavy attacked medic in the comic in a different light. Like, he did this before. No issue getting rid of the same problem again.

(Not saying cheavy liked medic whatsoever, he didn't, he hated his guts. I imagine that by this point cheavy grew to be distant enough to almost fully suppress that need for anyone who tries to care for him again. Not to even mention how incompatible cheavy and tf2 medic are as characters. The "problem" this time is another medic trying to work with him on the battlefield, trying to protect him and care for him, trying to make him feel weak. in his head at least.)

Also makes the fact that his demise was a heavy/medic team-up even more delicious, the powerful bond he could've had but was too insecure to accept was the exact thing that killed him. after he tried to get rid of the problem the same way he did last time he had the chance to create something beautiful and stronger than he could ever be alone.

The Foxhole Court fancomic Chapter 01 Episode 01

Well here it is.

My little project aiming to improve my style, particularly involving human characters. “Little”, meaning I’m going to try and illustrate the entire All For The Game novels.

Apologies in advance if anything doesn’t resemble characters or things in the books, I’m trying my best with what abilities I currently have.
