Middle Fingers- A Short Story by Nightmare

Bored. That was the feeling Optimus Prime had during this “meeting” he was forced to attend with Sentinel and Megatron. Why he was invited he’ll never know, all he wants right now is to curl up under a large blanket (preferably extra fuzzy) and take a nice long nap. But noooo, Sentinel had to call them up so he can host a meeting for some Allspark forsaken reason. He tried to listen to what was being said but it was getting harder to.

“They only need to take this much of the territory.” Megatron said simply, but his body language said he was raring to whack the big chinned blue mech upside his helm. Sentinel wasn’t listening or was only picking words that suited his agenda.

“Clearly giving up that much would cause the Elite Guard to lose some ground!”

“Replacing them with Decepticon warframes would be better suited, my men can take a hit better than you… Elite Guard.” Megatron said simply.

Sentinel scoffed, “As if! Last time I checked, it was we Autobots who kicked your sorry skidplates!”

Megatron was about to say a retort when they were interrupted by Optimus clearing his vocal processor, “Actually Sentinel, Megatron has the right idea, his army can handle the Quintessons’ weapons fire. We can’t.”

“Of course you would take his side, in fact I think you prefer sitting on his lap.” Sentinel quipped.

‘Oh my God that was one time!’ Optimus thought to himself while rolling his optics. Of course Sentinel would resort to pot shots like that.

“My point being, his mechs have experience in combat against other life forms. We don’t.”

Sentinel gave him a glare, “Are you saying that to sway me, or to puff up his ego?”

Optimus felt like smashing his face into the table right now. This is like… what did Sari say one time? Oh yeah, ‘like talking to a brick wall’.

“No, I’m trying to be logical. You and I have never faced Quintessons, only read about them. Megatron faced them before when he was still second in command of the Decepticon Rebellion under Megazarak. He knows what to do, we should at least listen to his advice. As much as it pains us to do so.” He added that last part to drive in the point that Megatron was still a lesser of two evils. The Decepticon merely gave a look of indifference.

Sentinel crossed his arms, “Whatever, it’s still too vital of a territory.”

Optimus reached his breaking point, “I know it is! Do you have any idea that it’s vital for both us and the Decepticons to keep it under Cybertronian control! You called this meeting! What is this supposed to be? The ‘Let’s have Sentinel Play Magnus for 3 Hours Show’?! We’ve been trying to convince you to take this more strategically sound plan! GOD!” He sat down in a huff.

The room was now a tense cage of silence, only the pants of the exhausted blue and red mech were heard.

Megatron saw the atmosphere in the room change, so he decided to remedy that.

By lighting a simple cy-garette, he picked up Optimus like he was a youngling, “We’ll take a recess, meeting is adjourned, come along little Prime.” Optimus responded by merely wrapping his legs around Megatron’s waist as if he was a youngling cyberkanga trying to cling to its mama-bot.

Megatron didn’t see Optimus give Sentinel the double middle fingers over his shoulder on the way out with the most venomous death glare.

Hullo. I am amongst the living.

This little idea kept nagging at me, so here we are: TFP where Op goes ✨FERAL✨

So y’know that whole shtick about “they had a secret relationship all along?” Well this is sort of like that, basically— yes, Megs and Op have had a secret relationship ever since the Orion arc. Megs kept in contact because he missed Optimus SO MUCH. And the war has been going on for so long. Also they can fix Cybertron together. But MOSTLY Megs missed Optimus.

Things go along, now they’re definitely considering peace time and even drafting a treaty to share with their respective factions.

But a little bump in the road comes in the form of someone that Megs DID NOT expect to see— MegaZarak. And instead of Zarak heavily injures Optimus or tortures him, like a previous idea I’ve had before— I’ve thought of something a little more heart wrenching. Shit goes down right when Prime and Megs are about to establish peace: Zarak beats out Megs from the title as leader of the Decepticons. He retreats, and escapes via ground ridge thanks to Optimus and the crew. Knockout, BreakDown, SW, and DreadWing follow after him, ever the loyal soldiers (and they also dont want to deal with Zarak). But Optimus gets nabbed just before he jumps through the ground bridge, and he’s now a prisoner to Zarak. So to fuck with Megs even more, Zarak uses the Botched Synthetic Energon to make Op go FERAL.

Like he’s a literal beast on a leash, fangs and all— and Megs, when staging a rescue operation, is torn because he doesnt want to hurt Op, but he has no choice because OP IS FERAL AND HE WILL LITERALLY GET HIS FACE RIPPED OFF. Optimus’ optics are the striking green just like when Ratchet messed around with it earlier on in the series. (Don’t do drugs kids)

He’s got Optimus pinned and he’s trying disparately to pierce through the feral veil that’s blinding the Prime. And there’s a small, tiny moment where Optimus calms down, and his optics flash blue. He tries to speak but his words are staticky and jumbled. Megs reaches out a soothing hand over Op’s face, but unfortunately the touching moment is short lived when Optimus’ optics flash green again, and he goes back to fighting like a rabid animal.

Megs has no choice to knock Optimus out and take him to the wreckage of the Harbinger where both bots and cons have established a new base since the one is Jasper got blown to bits. So Megs is looking through the cell door of the brig, watching as a feral Op is chained to a wall, snarling, growling, and trying to rid himself of his bindings. Ratchet establishes that it’ll probably take days, maybe WEEKS to flush the botched synthetic energon from Prime’s frame. Megs, ever the stubborn mech, refuses to give up on his Prime— so he sits, and waits, and assists where he can in order to bring his Prime back to himself.

So yeah, an idea where Optimus is pretty much having to be treated like a wild beast the whole time until they can get the botched synth energon out of him.

So I had a dream last night about Armada MegOp:

The war is over and Op decides to step down as Prime. Only problem is, he forgot how incredibly short his Orion/Optronix frame was, like he’s a two heads shorter than Megs. So Megs has to carry him from time to time in crowded areas. Also I keep picturing Op being Megs’ unofficial secretary since he’s so good with the archives. So he’s basically doing paperwork (again) for Megs, and has a hard time keeping up cause of his tiny little legs.

Also I stand by the idea that without the Matrix, Op is more relaxed but he’s a total fucking gremlin to anyone that he deems fit as a proper target. Aka Megs most of the time.

Smol Op is smol.

Hey remember that TFA MEGOP split personality AU I wrote out about how Op was tortured by the Autobot Science Division for being an independent thinker and/or because he faced and beat Megatron already, and due to the trauma and constant lab tests, Op ended up having an alternate personality pop up? Yeah this is that. I kinda dropped it off a bit, but stumbled upon this four pager that I started a while back. And, well, I don’t think I’ll finish it. So here you go.

I had titled this “He’s right behind you,” basically Op gets capture by the Elite Guard and during his interrogation, as you can see right here, Op turns to his alt NEMESIS.

“Where is Megatron?”

“Oh I’ll tell you, you just gonna have to come closer.”

Magnus leans forward towards Optimus.
