Rumble & Eject (Shattered EarthSpark AU)
Original post here. Variation/part of "Decoy" and happens around the same time. I still need to write everything between the original post and this one, but this idea wormed in first so it's being written first. Long post ahead.
Megatron heard Optimus release a strained growl when his sensors finally realigned themselves with his normal settings. His blue optics immediately spotted the fleeing orange humanoid shaped cassette-bot and the green bird cassette-bot, the forest quickly hiding their advance.
"Where is Steeljaw and Eject?" Megatron asked, looking towards Optimus as the former Autobot looked towards the forest, then somewhere behind Megatron, before finally looking at him.
"Frag if I know," Optimus answered. "Best guess is that they fled at the start of that attack."
Megatron's optics narrowed, then said, "We cannot allow Soundwave to know what happened here."
"You've said it yourself before: No one can hide anything from Soundwave," Optimus deadpanned. The purple and black bot looked behind Megatron again. "And why are you here, Dr Meridian and... whatever your name is?"
Megatron turned around, quickly seeing Atlas Meridian and Stevie Lister come out from some of the nearby bushes. "How long were you there?" Megatron asked.
"We just got here," Stevie countered. His skin was on the darker side, eyes and hair were the same deep brown near-black color, and hair somewhat messy and kept under a pale lavender helmet. He also wore a jacket with an odd pattern on it, switching between white, charcoal grey, and the same lavender as on the helmet. His pants were also charcoal grey and white, though his right hand was gone, replaced with a mechanical variation. Whether that went beyond his hand or not, he couldn't tell due to the jacket.
"All we heard was not telling Soundwave," Atlas continued.
Megatron vented, looking away briefly as Optimus said, "Well, if you want to get on Soundwave's good side, as like all you brats like to do, feel free to tell him."
"Optimus, no," Megatron snapped, his helm snapping to look at Optimus. The white and blue bot rattled as the purple and black mech snorted.
Atlas sighed, shaking his head slightly as Stevie asked, "Why shouldn't Soundwave be told, though?"
Megatron froze as Optimus stated, "Short version, Frenzy." With that, he former Autobot turned and walked back towards the base, saying, "If you need me, I'll be seeking out Twitch."
"She's currently at the flight deck with Tarantulas," Atlas informed. Optimus made a noise in reply before fully walking away.
The moment Optimus was gone, Stevie asked, "Who's Frenzy?"
"That... is not my place to say," Megatron answered before he transformed. He flew back towards the base, not noticing the looks he got from the two humans.
-(...)-
"Who's Frenzy?"
Soundwave blinked at the sudden question, then looked towards where the voice came from. Thrash was there, with Stevie perched on his shoulder. Thrash's alt mode was a motorcycle, whose colors came in as a near black and red, with some bits of slate, and his optics settled on a golden color.
Soundwave quickly realized that the question came from Stevie, if his staring and Thrash's still shy demeaner was any indication.
"Frenzy: cassette perished in the war," Soundwave stated.
"Cassette?" Thrash quietly said, confusion clear in his voice.
Soundwave tilted his helm slightly, allowing his bright red and deep blue plating reflect what light there was in the room. "Query: How did Stevie find out about Frenzy?"
"Optimus mention 'em when I asked why you shouldn't know about whatever they were talking about," Stevie answered.
A darkness stabbed his spark as he was reminded of his last remaining cassette. Like how he didn't learn into later that Rumble...
He shook his helm and requested, "Stevie: overheard?"
"No," Stevie replied, "I only heard the tail end about not telling you."
His visor darkened a bit, then said, "Soundwave: thanks Stevie." Soundwave stalked off, ignoring how Thrash decided to look at him during the process before he left.
-(...)-
"Hello, Soundwave," Optimus blandly stated, causing Megatron's attention to snap towards where Optimus's voice was directed to. The bright blue visor of Soundwave looked at Optimus, then glanced over to Megatron.
"Query: What do you wish me to not know?" Soundwave asked. Optimus glanced over, but didn't say a word.
"Pardon?" Megatron questioned.
"Stevie: Relayed you two wanted to hide something," Soundwave continued. "Hide: from Soundwave."
Out of the corner of his optic, Megatron noticed Twitch, Thrash, Stevie, and Atlas by the entrance, staring at Soundwave.
"I told you he would find out," Optimus commented in his usual bored tone. Megatron glared towards Optimus, but the former Autobot was already back to going through reports.
"Megatron: tell?" Soundwave requested.
Megatron was quiet for a moment, then sighed and said, "Yesterday at about noon, myself and Optimus encountered Steeljaw, Sundor, Eject, and Rumble."
He could immediately tell Soundwave's emotions took a dive through his field. Carefully, Soundwave asked, "Rumble: harmed?"
"He hurt us more than we hurt him, if that's what you mean." Optimus replied.
"Optimus," Megatron hissed.
"No," Soundwave interrupted. "Eject: looks like Frenzy?"
Optimus didn't answer, leaving Megatron to do so. Megatron looked towards the ground and answered, "He... looks less like her compared to during the war."
Soundwave was quiet, then asked, "Rumble: still thinks Eject is Frenzy?"
"It... still appears so, yes," Megatron hesitantly replied. Soundwave's field seemingly got darker and the red and blue mech let out static.
"Does Rumble still blame me?" Soundwave quietly asked, breaking his habit.
Megatron went silent for a good few moments. Once those moments passed, he answered, "From what I can tell... he still does."
-(<^>)-
He trembled as it kept replying in his helm. He knew Miscom didn't mean it, but it broke his spark nonetheless. His spark... and his cassette's sparks.
"Why didn't you tell her!"
A crying scream broke him out of his thoughts, looking towards the yellow frame of Rumble, but his mind only said that his cassette lost his beloved twin sister.
Rumble hiccupped and twitched and rattled, continuing, "Y-You could've said tha- that Eject had the same color, b-but you didn't and sh-she's dead! I can't feel her, why c-c-couldn't you save her?" Even with the visor covering his optics, tears streamed down Rumble's face. Much more softly, but in a much more broken voice, Rumble asked, "Why didn't you save her?"
"Rumble-" Laserbeak attempt.
"NO!" Rumble cried, quickly turning and running out of the room, his hiccups echoing across the room and hall.
Laserbeak pressed herself against Soundwave's leg. He absentmindedly placed his servo on her helm as Ravage buried his helm in Soundwave's side and Buzzsaw simply lowered xyr helm.
-(...)-
Soundwave lowered his helm. He was quiet, then he stated, "At least one of my beloved cassettes is still alive."
"Is he, though?" Optimus suddenly stated. "I mean, Rumble is Blaster's cassette now and despite Blaster being captured, he technically hasn't switched sides again, has he?"
"Optimus," Megatron warned as Soundwave tensed.
"Am I wrong?" Optimus shrugged, finally turning to face them. "Sure, the war's over, and we have no scraping idea what happened to Cybertron, but there's still Autobots who haven't yet or never will surrender. Knowing Blaster and his cassettes? I doubt they ever will change, especially with how unstable Blaster's code is and how it affec-"
He didn't get to finish as Soundwave suddenly bolted over and punched Optimus in the faceplate. The former Autobot didn't move as Soundwave turned around and stormed out of the room. He didn't even seem to notice Twitch, Atlas, Thrash, and Stevie, who moved out of the way as the communication specialist left the room. Megatron just stared, optics wide, staying where he stood.
Moments passed after Soundwave left before Megatron said, "Optimus, why?"
"I'm not wrong and you can't tell me that. RAPTR can confirm it for you, if you want," Optimus deadpanned, lifting up his helm and turning back to his work station.
Atlas finally made himself, Stevie, and the Terrans known, clearing his throat to get their attention. "Should we... assume not to approach Soundwave for a while?"
"Yes," Megatron sighed. "You'll have to forgive him. A... sensitive topic came up."
Twitch's optics narrowed at them as Atlas nodded and moved to shoo away the Terrans and Stevie. The group left, though Twitch stared at Megatron for a few more moments before following them.
"Watch Waspinator be the last one to find out," Optimus stated.
"Don't doubt xem. Sure, xe doesn't like GHOST or RAPTR, but xe watches over Stevie and Thrash well enough," Megatron replied.
Optimus rolled his optics. "Sure, keep telling yourself that and believe GHOST can hold Jazz for long. You'll believe me in time."

I have been thinking about TFSG recently, on what things that should need to be inverted and wich other thing that should stay the same. In conclusion ive made two my own timelines on how SGAU’s Greatwar begins and resolved.
Alright, lets start with the first version where it was “less dark” compared the second one. The SGAU1 Its kinda a mix mash of element from G1 cartoon, Bayverse, and Earthspark. So its gonna heavely based on earth.
The Earth where The Ark and The Nemesis would landed (crashed) will be the most affected from Shattered Glass. Unlike TFOG1 Earth where its mostly based on 90s classics themed earth, SGAU1 would be based on post-apocalypse-nuclear-war 22nd centuries earth years, where human is on the brink of extiction.
The difference between classic TFOG1, the Autobots and Decepticons on SGAU1 didnt scan any Earth vehicle ( Havent decided if it still exist) so they remain on their cybertronian alt mode, like the seekers with tetrajet, the scouts with hovercars, etecera etecera.
Okay, on the awakening within the ark both crews has no idea on what is going on at the planet where their landed. So there was clash on the ark, the decepticons got cornered, Megatron declared decepticons to retreat and search the Nemesis. That is when they finally pay close attention to the surounding environment.
One by one, the seekers that trying to flown from the ark entrance got crashed into something sturdy, not only flight frame meet their unfortunate, the scouts who been ordered to chase them also fall one by one from high ground. Apparently The Ark has been crashed into somekind of a giant tree in a Giant Jungle ecosystem.
Yes! this earth has been overtaken by mother nature itself. Not only that, starscream also indentified that earth atmosphere are reeks with radioactif-hazard wich prevent any techno to stay function nor let any signal escapes on its “danger zone”. Its hindering for the seekers, and its also prevent any starship to take off from the planet, making both faction to get trapped within.
That  just the beginning alright, there is much more that meet the eye.
Ooooo now that's gotta cause some very interesting differences!
Nice that they keep their cybertron altmodes
Hmmm!
Oh this sounds intriguing, they can't leave, nature has reclaimed her reign on earth, and humanity is on the *brink* of extinction but still around? ??

I was obsessed with your TFSG fics back in 2018 and when I saw your HSR fanfics I got whiplash (in a good way, the fics were such good reads <3)
That's awesome! Thank you so much for trying out my fics in other Fandoms. Ha ha.

Shattered EarthSpark
Atlas Meridian stepped into the cave, his chocolate brown hair slicked back as usual and his deep brown eyes observing. He wore the usual garb for explorations like this: a two piece thick charcoal grey leathery outfit with black boots, gloves, and a clear visor that covered his face and part of his hair, along with a belt with many pockets. However, his left arm wasn’t covered by the outfit, stopping just after the shoulder due to the mechanical nature of his replaced arm. The cave was a strange slate color, standing out a bit from all the other rocks that lead up to it. Water seemed to puddle in the crevasses and low dents of the cave, filling them up yet never seeming to move or go beyond their confines. Every now and again was a strange bubbly gem of sorts, almost like Energon with blue food coloring packed into an 3D oval shape.
He didn’t know how the Decepticons-- what a strange name-- missed the Cybertronian signal from the cave. Even that Autobot they picked up-- Orion? Optimist? One of the two-- didn’t notice it. The scientist wondered before, even just for a few moments, if they were purposely avoiding the signal, but reasoned that it was a rather strange signal, hard to tell it was even Cybertronian to begin with. However, that didn’t sate his and the other scientists in GHOST’s ranks curiosity about the thing. Getting the superiors to go through with it was simpler than expected, but he supposed it wasn’t unusual. Anything Cybertronian in the wrong hands could cause disaster. His old... colleague, Alex Malto, sure was a good example of that.
Atlas continued further into the cave, his robotic arm already lifting up as his still flesh one flexed in excitement. His hand moved to the false arm and clicked a button, activating a holographic screen. Atlas looked at the screen to make sure he entered the right inputs, then stopped as the connection was finalized. He said into the hologram, “Doctor Meridian to Base Spike, do you read?”
A bit of static followed, then he read, [Doctor Charon to Doctor Meridian, can do! Anything interesting yet?]
“There’s a strange crystal that appears like a blue or teal version of Energon, but I haven’t gotten too far in,” Atlas replied.
He could almost feel his colleague vibrating in place. [Oh wow, Energon that isn’t only blue, but also crystalline? That sounds amazing! Make sure you collect samples!]
Atlas approached one of the strange orbs and grabbed it. He tugged at it for a few moments, then it broke free. He observed it as he replied, “Of course.”
[Here, I’ll mute so you don’t get distracted and we’ll still be able to see what’s going on!] Dr Charon said, then the noise of a mute signal going off and the hologram automatically deactivating. A brief notification appeared in the visor, but it quickly dismissed itself to the corner of his vision.
Atlas turned the orb in his hands around for a few more moments, only finding it to be the same on every side, save of the few pieces of stone that still clung to it. He put the strange orb into a pocket, making sure it was shut before going further into the cave.
It continued to be more of the same. Slate blue stones and the blue orbs. The only difference was that the cave was continuous lit with blue light, but it was unclear where the light was coming from.
After a few minutes, the cave opened up to a massive room. A pool of the same strange water nearly covered the entire room, the only dry bits being the center and the path up to it. Thirteen stalactites hung from the ceiling, though eight of them appeared to be forcibly broken by an overpowering force, the other five left alone to grow, nearly touching the pool. The stalactites, the ceiling, and the walls were all the same slate blue. However, the strange teal orbs seemed to have become no more bigger than specks, seemingly dragged of what they held. In the center of the room was a pedestal with an ocean colored stone covered with teal speckles sitting atop it.
Atlas approached the stone, a curiosity in his eyes. He lifted his gloved hand to touch the stone, then moving his hand across it. There was no reaction.
His robotic arm moved so he could pick up the strange stone with both hands. The moment his robotic palm touched the odd stone, the artifact went haywire. It suddenly glowed green, the pool quickly gaining the same glow. A tendril of light popped out of the stone, quickly wrapping around his robotic arm as behind him, two of the stalactites began to glow. Atlas barely had time to react, shock erupting over his face, then the two stalactites shattered with a head-splitting noise and he was forced to tuck his head into his metal shoulder and pressing his gloved palm against his other ear, squeezing his eyes shut.
A few moments passed and all the noise and simulation calmed down. Atlas opened his eyes, blinking slightly as he repositioned his upper body. The glowing had vanished, but the robotic arm seemed... changed. It didn’t change much, but there was a strange tugging feeling that now emanated from it, along with a purplish blue orb sitting on the back of the robotic palm. A quickly glance in the visor showed the connection was still up, and he moved his arm away from it.
He bumped into something and quickly snapped around.
Staring into his eyes was a Cybertronian of some sort, a strange scent coming off it and with oddly blank colors with bits of teal glow. After a moment, he recalled what the scientists of GHOST were told about young Cybertronians, better known as ‘sparklings’. This was some sort of sparkling. Its bright red eyes stared into him, its feminine shaped armor flared out somewhat.
“Curious,” the being said, its voice wispy, yet feminine and sounding like there was a growling undertone. “You’re not... scared. Unlike the wimp that dares call us a twin.” Its optics glanced to the side, causing Atlas to look over as well. As he did so, he took notice of the state of the shattered stalactites. They were reduced back down to the ceiling, now much smaller points. Those were unlike the other broken stalactites, where seemed battered and torn into.
On the other side of the pool, clinging to the wall, was another sparkling, though it seemed taller and on the masculine side, despite its plating squeezing onto itself. It didn’t speak, its blue optics, terrified with a field to match.
“So... why are you nOT TERRIFIED?!” the sparkling suddenly screeched, its plating flaring as its voice box crackled with the sudden change, the growl suddenly more prevalent.
Atlas didn’t move, instead muttering, “Fascinating.”
The sparkling seemed to doubletake at that reaction, causing the more male sparkling to attempt an approach. The femme glared at the mech, causing it to stop.
“Fascinating...? That’s what you see us as?” the femme sparkling questioned, a strange surprise in its wispy voice as the growl died back down to an undertone.
Atlas, under his breath, added, “Earth-born Cybertronians? Terran Cybertronians? Would they be any different from Cybertronians from Cybertron?”
The femme seemed to stare as the mech finally approached. Somewhat quietly, with a scared, shaky, terrified voice, the mech sparkling asked, “W-W-Who are you?”
Atlas snapped out of his mutterings, then looked at the mech sparkling and said, “My name is Doctor Meridian, but you can call me Atlas.”
Both of the sparklings stared.
A tug of full terror seemed to radiate from the strange feeling now in his robotic arm as the mech sparkling trembled and he said, “I-I-I’m Thrash.”
The femme sparkling lean forward, a bloodlust radiating out from the other strange tug (he just noticed, there were two ‘strings’) that matched in her optics, then she said, “We are Twitch.”

Rescue Bots ≠ Shattered Glass
A very important thing to know about me: I love Shattered Glass. And I do mean love. I am a Shattered Glass stan first, and a Transformers fan second. Love, adore, obsessed, whatever, that’s my fave, my bread and butter. I think about SG versions of characters and/or concepts in every Transformers continuity. HOWEVER, there is one exception. I cannot, and I do mean I adamantly REFUSE to even entertain the thought of Shattered Glass Rescue Bots.
I don’t know why, but whenever the thought even so much as crosses my mind it just feels so fundamentally wrong and I can’t stand it.
Like…they’re the Rescue Bots. The Burns family, Griffin Rock…Rescue Bots. Shattered Glass? I don’t know her.
