#amphibia spoilers #i havent seen anyone else rly talking about it so im glad people are seeing the post #said this already but. yeah anne and hop pop’s forgiveness arc in after the rain and the first temple is so important to me #i read a post analyzing it around the time when the theory that the trio was gonna separate started getting popular #and i was feeling really bad about it bc i didnt want them to separate?!? i didnt want anne to like not fully forgive them even if they #ended things on good terms?!?! i want them to be happy and work things out!! #so just being reminded of the way hop pop also betrayed anne’s trust and seeing how she did hold the grudge over him but it only made it #harder for them to work things out.. it gave me hope #because yes forgiveness is hard and complex. people will hold grudges and thats completely fine even if the person who wronged them is tryin #to make things right. but nothing will get better if both sides arent willing to open up and take that second chance #now im a lot more confident that the trio will stick together and make things better esp with tbote and the flashback and the marcy convo #but it was nice to see the callback to atr and tft. it felt really validating #also 700 notes?!?!? holy shit i think thats one of my highest note counts #jace rambles #k.txt

My favourite card art for Exocolonist

The cards in Exocolonist are designed by many different artists, so you see very different interpretations of characters.

Usually, the art is very cute. Some are unsettling. One - and it's a big spoiler - is more horrific than any other.

CW Animal cruelty/ecocide

This is the art for "Engineered Plague."

Tangent is usually drawn as a pretty stoic figure. Here, she looks downright serene, despite committing the worst act she or any of the kids will ever do. She's made peace with wiping out Vertumna's ecosystem. Us or them? Saving mom? Saving the rest of the council? Whatever her motives, her moral dilemma is resolved, and she can smile sweetly even with her hand around the throat of an innocent creature.

Her very stylized, cartoony design only makes it worse for me, making me feel like she doesn't want to engage with this as a person. The unisaur is drawn more realistically, stressing the impact of her actions.

The very strange eye colouration looks like an interpretation of her holoeye implant, which she alludes to but you never actually see in the game. This is a big departure from her sprite, which has grey eyes. I really like these creepy rainbow eyes. Perfect for an evil queer icon.

Shoutout to koloquials for managing to creep out this jaded horror fan.

I held onto this ask for a few days in case it was a spoiler for anyone who hasn't read yet but meh, it's been a few days, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

A little introspection: That repeated "I want you" - I think he really just wanted to nail that into reader's head, that he wants her despite her thinking she's broken or "unwantable" - he's trying to get past the worms in her brain (the worms we all have tbh) that make us think we are unloveable. But there are people who love us for exactly who we are out there, and Frankie definitely feels that way about reader.

I'm really excited to write the next chapter, hint hint, it's going to be mainly a flashback <3

For those of us who read Tit for Tat originally and are now super excited to jump into pt2, is there a synopsis/catch up you could offer? I remember the basics - Harry & Draco's careers, the big news at the end, the love notes - but worry I'm forgetting something big. Or do you think it's enough to have read it, the other stuff will come back/there are some reminders in the new fic? I would 100% re-read TFT if I had time to tackle it again!

the sequel, Truly Being Alive (TBA), is largely set 10 years after the end of Tit for Tat. there is plenty of description of what has ensued in the interim, so i don’t think it would be confusing if you haven’t read T4T in a long time.

but! as an avid fic reader, i often struggle with placing myself in an specific authors world of Drarry. so, here’s a quick synopsis of relevant happenings that will (hopefully!) be of help. at the end of T4T:

(spoilers for Tit for Tat ahead)

- Draco’s piece-of-shit ex Noah is a distant glimmer in their eye

- Draco and Harry have had some very fun play while Draco is ‘Cissy’

- They’ve gone public with their relationship

- George went from being a bit of a prick about it to shoving Draco down a rocky incline at the Burrow. Draco suffered a permanent brain injury from the fall

- Lucius and Narcissa officially disown Draco, stripping use of the Malfoy name. Draco uses Black instead, and Harry drunkenly offers his own (Potter) to use

- Draco confides in Harry about a boy who looked like him. He was kept prisoner at the Manor and Draco was forced to kiss him by Bellatrix and Greyback. Draco thinks of him as the Boy Who Died and remains guilt-ridden over his death

- Andromeda is ill and makes plans for who Teddy will go to in the event of her death. Harry agrees to take custody

- Draco is prepping to move into Grimmauld

- Harry, being Harry, blurts out a marriage proposal. The house provides rings that they decide to hold onto as a promise to one another 💍

unpopular opinion: clary and isabelle should’ve become parabatai, we deserved more clizzy content, their parabatai bond would’ve been iconic and i think it would’ve been interesting to see their relationship develop from dislike (cob mostly) to friendship (cohf), to the point where they trusted each other so much to become parabatai. i truly think clary and izzy complement each other nicely in the fighting/warrior aspect, they’re both strong women who endured a lot of pain and lost important people in their lives, they would’ve made it their strength. also, george lovelace’s death was unnecessary, him and simon deserved to become parabatai and make their friendship stronger.

Alright welcome back to your weekly ginger talks about the influences of kingdom hearts on tales from the smp

As much as I love the song Karl used to for the outright today because it fucking slaps I hope it’s only played for the happy endings of Karl’s time travel adventures a. Because it would not fit the mood if everyone just got slaughtered and b. Because I miss my fake rendition of dearly beloved.

Anyways the part in the in between with Karl walking around and seeing all the other versions of himself was clearly inspired by the final world from kingdoms hearts 3 where sora our protagonist has to collect versions of himself walking around for spoiler reasons I will not be talking about on this post, but this does make me wonder if we’ll see something similar for the process down for Karl to retain his memories while time traveling
