P’Aof really is an incredible storyteller.
Up until this episode, we’ve seen things from Pran’s perspective. All the pain and flirting that he’s endured, only for Pat to tell him he likes someone else. We were there for his heartbreak that built up over four episodes.
And then there’s episode five - where suddenly we seen things from Pats point of view and he realizes his feelings for Pran so fast it almost gave me whiplash.
But that’s the brilliance of it. Pran’s story took four episodes because that’s how his personality is. It takes him time to open up, to get comfortable with someone and even admit to himself that he cares for someone. He had to logically accept how he felt about Pat before being able to fully embrace it. It was a methodical process.
Pats story took only one episode because it took him no time at all to accept his feelings for Pran. It just made sense to him. He accepted it quickly because that’s who he is.
And then their stories converged with the kiss. It’s not Pat or Pran’s story anymore… it’s their shared story.

When Pat says Come here, that did not sound like a threat. It sounded more like a soft come here. As if he was trying to convince Pran that he's safe and he won't hurt him. As if there was something wrong with the world if Pran was on the opposite side.
What are you doing there? You don't belong by Wai's side. Come here. To me.
Rather than an aggressive one, it sounded more like a desperate come here. By my side.

Pat didn’t panic or go into denial about his feelings for Pran. He didn’t launch into dating Ing as a way to distract himself or prove himself wrong.
Instead, he got curious about his feelings. He wanted to make sure what he was experiencing was real, that he wasn’t confusing feelings of friendship for something more like he did with Ing.
Pat didn’t avoid Pran or act like what he was feeling was wrong, he sought Pran out to further confirm what he was feeling. He confronted his feelings and embraced them because, in a way, what he was experiencing wasn’t new. It had been there all along…

Pat is so tuned with Pran that even in his subconscious mind, he'd never do anything to intentionally hurt him. In the confrontation scene, he's clearly drunk and not in the right state of mind, yet when Pran holds him roughly by his collar, his first reaction is to surrender. His reflex should have been to back handle Pran in return, yet he is aware that it's Pran infront of him. He stops himself and let's himself be manhandled because he'd never hurt him.
