Love this, honestly being with Alhaitham would be like being on a national debate team but in the best way possible. So here's a little drabble because this is so cute and so funny (and also my first ask so thank you!!)

Usually when you and Alhaitham plan date nights, you like to tell Kaveh in advance, just so he knows you'll be taking up the living space for a while. Kaveh is more than happy to leave for a night on the town whenever this occurs, since walking in on whatever you weirdos get up to would be his waking nightmare.

However, it seems that tonight you had forgotten to inform your boyfriend's roommate about the night's events, being too caught up in some last-minute work to remember to notify him. Alhaitham certainly isn't going to bother telling Kaveh, if he walks in on something he doesn't want to see, then it's his problem.

So here we have the poor, unsuspecting Kaveh, groggily unlocking the door to your shared house after a long day of fighting for funding for his projects. Kaveh thinks of the glass of wine he'll be pouring for himself once he gets inside, the plush couch he'll be lounging on, and the quiet of the end of a long day. But his dreams and his expectations are shattered when he passes through the doorway to the living room.

Before him, you stand at the large portable whiteboard with a pile of scattered papers around you, covering every surface in white sheets scribbled with ink. Alhaitham is sitting on the couch in front, his own set of papers spread across the cushions and a notebook in his hand. Neither of you seemed to notice the confused architect in the doorway as you continue on your tangent.

"So you see, because of the average density, shape, and weight distribution of a squirrel, it has such a low terminal velocity that it could not possibly be harmed by falling from any distance," You scribble your conclusion across the full, messy whiteboard as you speak. Alhaitham hums in acknowledgement before standing from the couch, taking one of the two wine glasses on the table and bringing it to your lips for you to drink as you write. "Thank you dear,"

"What in the name of the Dendro Archon are you two doing?" You turn, finally noticing Kaveh at the entrance of the room. You smile and wave slightly, though Alhaitham is not as happy with the arrival.

"We happen to be on a date, so if you wouldn't mind, I think this is your cue to leave."

Kaveh's jaw drops as he takes the scene in further. "A date? This is what you lunatics call a date?!"

"Well, this is what we usually do," You reason, confused about the indignation in Kaveh's voice. "So far tonight I've gone through corvid thanatology, the effect of ley lines on geographical isolation, and the terminal velocity of squirrels."

"I have touched on the theories of atmospheric pressure differences in Enkanomiya, and the nuances within viticultural methods in differing regions," Alhaitham follows. "Now would you mind? You're disrupting our question time."

"Question time? What is this, an official debate? And geographical isolation, atmospheric differences, squirrel physics? What in Teyvat do you need to know about that for? Unless you're planning on taking up yet another course of study," Kaveh gestures wildly to the messy lounge. "Look what you've done to the place!"

"Well we enjoy teaching each other new things, even if the topics are a bit niche," You explain.

"Especially if the topics are niche," Alhaitham says, taking you in his arms. "Perhaps if you weren't so unfocused, you could appreciate the intellectual stimulation we provide each other,"

Kaveh tried not to gag as the two of you face each other in a loving embrace, Alhaitham caressing your cheek with his palm as he compliments your evidence. You smile and press a kiss to the inside of his palm, returning his compliments with your own.

"Of course you of all people don't know how to plan a date Alhaitham," Kaveh taunts.

"I'm sorry, but I believe I am the one with the significant other. So your reasoning is entirely null,"

"Why you-"

"Enough, both of you," You cut in. "I'm sorry I forgot to tell you we were having a date tonight Kaveh, but do you think we could have a little more time to ourselves?"

"You don't have to bargain with him," Alhaitham says, now electing to ignore the architect entirely. "Let's just kick him out. He can deal with the consequences of his interruption,"

"Ugh, there's no need. I don't want to have to see this any longer. Have fun with your so-called date,"

Kaveh sighed as he closed the door, hearing the two of you continue your series of lectures inside. He supposed he would have to get that glass of wine at the tavern instead.

everything is a convoluted romcom plot

- everything starts with isidor thinking, hey my son is in that special age where he's supposed to get married and give me grandkids

- oh right he likes boys

- well I still want him settled down

- so isidor starts flipping through science and medicine magazines, treating them like a tinder gallery basically, looking for palpable bachelors

- he finds one, he looks a bit quirky with his funny coat and his obsession with death, but hey, no one is perfect

- he starts corresponding with this guy, pretending he's oh so interested in his Grand Thanatology Project

- The Plan Begins

- he offhandendly mentions that he knows an immortal dude, who so happens to live in his town, how convenient!

- in the meantime he sends a letter to artemy telling him that he needs to come back Right Fucking Now

- isidor goes to his most trusted collaborator, mark immortell, a big fan of big and convoluted things

- he tells him that they need to stage a huge catastrophic event so those two idiots are brought together by the nefarious circumstances and fall in love or something

- mark is Ecstatic

- he rounds up every woman, man and child in town

- the townsfolk are also fans of big scale performances (it's a town of theatre kids, basically)

- only the children need a bit of convincing, but he bribes them with a sack of nuts

- grief and his gang of bandits are really an unhinged group of improv actors

- clara also is a super enthusiastic theatre person who's a bit too into method acting

- so the two Victims arrive in town, and the play begins

- everyone has roles to play, georgiy for example, has to pretend he has an identical twin who was murdered just before the arrival of this so called bachelor of medicine, oh no! what a tragic coincidence!

- isidor also "disappears," but he's really helping mark from the backstage

- some guys are actually instructed to rough up artemy a little, for "realism's sake" (mark's words) but they leave fake weapons around for the healers to find and "use" (each person in town carries a patch of fake blood so the two feel good about killing them)

- time for the Big Plot Event

- mark and isidor instruct the people to pump up dust and ashes up their chimneys to simulate the plague, put red paint on the buildings, so on

- some people have to play the role of the infected, hey not everyone can have the big roles

- through the placebo effect and gaslighting, the Victims really believe there's a Plague Going On

- and lo and behold they meet

- oh daniil is dropping the two hands line

- oh he's already in love

- hm

- what now

- "the show must go on!" mark cries, he's not stepping down from the biggest and most beautiful project he's ever put on stage

- so they double down on the plague thing

- mark even calls over aglaya, an ex understudy of his, who then also calls block, who used to be in a production of Six Characters In Search Of An Author with her back in the capital. they pretend to be the big baddies from the government or something

- the twelfth day comes to an end and the Victims both think they've got a solution to the plague

- they're invited to the cathedral

- surprise!! it's a wedding!!

Thanatos Deity Guide

Who is Thanatos?

Thanatos is the personification or the spirit of death. In this way, Thanatos is considered a daimon in the original meaning, a spirit.

Thanatos was often depicted as a young male with wings, but occasionally he was depicted as an older man with a beard. He as well as his twin brother, Hypnos, are seen in ancient art holding torches turned upside down.

His role in mythology is a psychopomp—a being who carries the souls of the dead to the underworld. Though he was often referred to in myths, he rarely appeared physically.

Though there are no ancient cults known to be dedicated to Thanatos, there have been traces of sacrifices left to him as well as a temple in Sparta.

In one myth, Zeus commands Hypnos and Thanatos to carry the dead body of the warrior Sarpedon off of the battlefield and to the country of Lykia so that he could be given a proper burial.

Other popular stories involving Thanatos are the story of Sisyphus and the story of Hercules wrestling Thanatos.

Thanatos has been depicted in art as a youth holding a butterfly or an inverted torch. The former represents a soul (the greek word for butterfly can also mean life or soul), and the ladder represents a life having been extinguished. He is also seen with a wreath of poppies or a sword.

In art and literature, Thanatos is also depicted as a cloud or mist that hangs above a person’s head who is soon to die.

He lives in the Underworld with his twin brother.

In some myths he is considered cruel, in others, he is considered sweet, as he is peaceful death. The descriptors chosen would likely depend on the writer’s outlook on death.

On April 9, 2021, we bought the Writer's 2nd Draft of Tombstone. It was always intended to someday benefit The Trevor Project. And just like Cas finally returning from the Empty and being welcomed back to his family, the day has finally come. It’s been autographed by Misha Collins and Jensen Ackles, and it could be yours.

When we began this project, the fandom collectively had six scripts from five episodes and a single network outline. In the three years since we bought our first script to add to that collection, the Supernatural Script Hunt group has amassed a total of 153 scripts from 138 episodes, casting sides from 50+ episodes, 50+ call sheets, arenas from 18 episodes, and other related documents. So in my head, Mr. Cockroach is just a silly little nerd. A goofy fella with social anxiety. He is the definition of a poor little meow meow- smart but pathetic, a self absorbed mess

Picture a pinscher with a cold. That's him

He has managed to get himself to pretend he's somewhat well adjusted, but even tho he can make small talk, buy groceries and order pizza from time to time he still comes off as cagey and awkward

Definitely kept dead bugs in jars in his room as a kid, did not expect them to rot, learned nothing from this experience and still does it

Which means he smells bad. But purposefully now

I think Asa identifies as a bug tbh, but not literally

He loves humans like you maybe love cars, or art.

He doesn't relate to people. He doesn't get what's like to be one. But he loves us so much, he admires us so much, like you admire a vintage Lamborghini in perfect conditions.

He loves us from afar, like an admirer, an outside observer, wanting to learn everything about us because he doesn't understand but loves how strangely endearing we are, like the entomologist he is. Its almost like a fetish, but not sexual- objetification meets cold adoration in the hands of a scientist

This is specially noticeable (like another poster said) when we see various scenes where he's gently craddling his victim's faces or taking "care" of them. He looks at them in awe, like he could (cus he really could) break them, he wants to see them break to learn one more thing about them

He sees his victims not as people, not as complex universes, not as concepts, but as animals. He understands you have a life and opinions and friends, but he compartmentalizes these as normal behavior for your species

He cannot physically take his headphones off during the day cus it's so fucken noimsy outside and it hurts his ears

He likes to listen to anything repetitive and loud, nothing with discernible lyrics

His house looks like one of those ikea display rooms, except it smells faintly like formaldehyde and rot

He has a massive sweet tooth

He has a love for psychology, human anatomy and thanatology

Actually any field of knowledge that could explain human behavior is fair game to him

He absolutely hates spending money in "unnecessary" things, which is why he has plenty of diy projects around his place

He doesn't really have an opinion of people or of himself. He isn't one to judge, to classify people into groups. He thinks we're all fascinating, and he spends a lot more time trying to teach himself things about us than thinking about his own life

He doesn't have an internal voice inside his head

Absolutely has a God complex, but more in a "I Cannot Relate To Any Of My Beloved Creechures" than "my milkshake is better than yours"

Has a degree in entomology, and chose to become a certified bug serial killer cus seriously,,,,ppl will just give their house keys to a stranger for days????? how could he not take advantage of that????

100% a virgin. Does not have any interest in romance or sex, does not understand most people's need for it, could not feel more uncomfortable than when his victims offer to "help him" in exchange for their freedom

Never had any friends

Was raised by his extended family who sent him off to college as soon as they could

His favorite place in the whole wide world are cemeteries (silent, and he can spend time with his beloved lil humans as much as he wants)

Never takes anything personally and is completely unfazed by morality. Again, whenever anything happens he just sees it as part of the behavior of this particular species, like he isnt an active participant in the world, just a bystander

Hates pillows. His bed is as firm as a wooden table (might actually be one), only wears blankets when its absolutely freezing and he has no other choice

Walks around either on all fours or on his tiptoes

He doesn't? really? get? why people hate his trunks so much. He finds small spaces quite soothing and attributes his victim's screams to panic or anxiety of being caught, not also cus they're yk stuck in a tiny box with no chance of getting out

Cringing as I type the words but uh. Swan Song was a good place to stop. I'm not saying it was a good ending, but it was more cohesive than any of the finales that followed (apart from s11, that was alright - and we wouldn't have gotten dabb era if we stopped there). S1 (just plain funny. yes girl fail), 2 (viewer gets to project a hopeful ending) , and 3 (three-act tragedy always hits) are also good options, but then no cas :(

8. If you could remove one season of supernatural, which one would it be and why?

Thirteen or fifteen. Thirteen because 90% of the time it had me internally screaming what the FUCK is going on, do you even have a plot in mind, do you know where you are going with this, why is everyone so out-of chracter or straight-up trying not to fall asleep. In its defense, it has Funeralia, A Most Holy Man and Scoobynatural, but my god. lord. awful, awful season. Fifteen because of its general *gestures vaguely*, and lack of any consistently good episode to compensate.

Sorry, I just realised I didn't actually choose. Thirteen, then, I guess. Excluding those three episodes and maybe Advanced Thanatology.
