long answer: so in my system some of us are definintely like, People, but theres also just like a lot of soup, but we are starting to explore more of a median & medical inspired approach on the soup so something about roles because we understand that approaching it the identity way doesn't help at all. currently we're trying to figure out what kind of modes exist and if this approach proves to be useful maybe we can learn more, hopefully including why our color preference changes so much.

Oh man, I'd love to get into knitting or cooking. They were all things my grandmother used to do a lot when she was still in Canada and I just miss it. Who knows, maybe I'll pick up knitting needles when I'm on a work term or something x'D

The Lovers ▸ What’s the most difficult choice you had to make?

Probably choosing a university to study at not going to lie, there's the whole thing about wanting to move far from home and whatnot. Also the sheer fact that I wanted to stay with my friends whom I grew up with. It was probably the most nerve-wracking one week in my life (special thanks to my math teacher who had to deal with me knocking down her door lol)

The best piece of advice I ever got was not meant as advice, but as an edict. If I was going to threaten people as a joke, it had to be so far out of proportion with what happened that it would be obvious I was joking. This changed how I expressed frustration with others. It then changed how I expressed frustration with myself.

Not “I’m going to hit you” but “I am going to buy a tuna sub from the gas station and hide it under the seat of your car”

Not “I’m going to kill myself” but “I am going to walk into the desert and let the scarabs take me”

The other side then happened. When I mess something up, instead of saying it’s bad and perpetuating negative thoughts, swing hard the other way.

Not “this art is terrible” but “this shall be framed and mounted on the wall in my museum exhibition as testament to the suffering I had to overcome”

Have been doing this since high school. It was my drama teacher who asked me to please stop scaring the actors. The other half of the edict was that I had to say it in a polite tone, and end it with either please or thank you.

Life changing. 10/10 Mr Muëller. Highly reccomend.

Do you have any tips for drawing different kinds of flowers?

honestly the biggest thing i'd say is to just use references

what i usually do is find multiple photos of the type of flower i want to draw, then sketch it out a few times in different stages/angles to figure out its main identifiable features. then once i've got the hang of it i move on to the final drawing

(something like this, but usually less thorough lmao)

also since my flower drawings are usually pretty small, i tend to simplify them a lot. so just see what the main thing is that makes that particular flower recognizable & start from there, the rest can usually just be some vague lines/squiggles as long as it gets the point across. if you're drawing more than one flower it also helps to add variation in angles/colours/details etc so it doesn't look like the same one copy & pasted

i'm not sure how clear that was but i hope it helps at least a bit :)
