[ DEBATE ]  our muses are arguing because qrow is worried and overprotective of percy,  but when they get up in each other’s faces they end kissing and groping at each other. 

This was going to be a long night. Percy had known there was going to be some sort of consequence for his actions, good or bad. He had thrown himself in front of an arrow to keep it from being lodged In Qrow's gut. The action was natural, instinctive. Percy couldn't help but think he had made the right choice. It had instead been buried in Percy's left shoulder, a shallow & less fatal wound. They had torn through the rest of their enemies without much trouble & set up camp since then. They had taken a few hours to cooperate, heal up & eventually break away for a private moment with Qrow.

He had not expected the confrontation to escalate like this. Percy wasn't quite shouting, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep his emotions in check. It seemed to be a sentiment Qrow shared. Something about Qrow's concern was agitating as it was endearing; Percy could take care of himself, after all. As he was coming to understand Qrow more, protecting him was falling under the umbrella of self-care. It was hard to imagine living without him, as though losing Qrow would be like losing a chunk of himself.

He hated being chastised & for a moment, he thinks that is what is happening... like nothing Percy could have done would be more right. They are close enough that Percy feels Qrow's breath on his lips, leaving him horribly, wonderfully vulnerable. Perhaps this is why he is so defensive when he speaks again, " Don't waste your worry on me. "

He doesn't expect Qrow's reaction to be so immediate. In Qrow's fists are either lapel of Percy's navy jacket & Percy feels his back hit a tree behind him. He hadn't realized how close to it he was & he nearly gasps... However, the sentiment was chased away when Qrow's lips crash into his own. They break away for only a moment, gazes meeting in the first silent moment they had shared since sneaking from camp. it only takes a moment for Percy to chase after his kiss, returning the passion with the same instinct that had driven him earlier. There is a hungry devotion to Percy's breathless kisses, a sentiment shared with hands that draw him nearer. There was something perfect about the way Qrow's body fit against him, which is likely why Percy holds him so tight.

Percy feels Qrow's hands against his body, releasing handfuls of Percy's coat & traveling down his chest, to his sides & eventually his hips. That alone is enough to drive Percy to thrash against him, his face flushed in a mix of fading anger & growing desire. Maybe Percy groaned, quietly into their embrace. It was hard telling. He is not sure when his own hands had found a place in Qrow's hair, but his grip tightens as he pulls in retaliation to the cruel teasing. He pries their lips apart for only a moment, his forehead pressed to Qrow's as he tries to steady his breath. Green eyes do not break away from the other's gaze, even as he fights the urge to squirm.

" That's one way to direct the tension " It's only half a joke, the words feeling strangely vulnerable as they spill from his lips. Maybe it is because he knows how badly he needs this, he needs Qrow. Percy presses a gentler kiss in the crook of his neck, his voice much quieter than before, " It's nice to see you care, Qrow. "

18.  the moon  :  what does your muse long for ? is it a realistic desire ?

so lets dive into this. the moon card is largely about longing but it's also about deluding yourself or distracting yourself with an internal struggle. the card often depicts two entities in some sort of conflict at the beginning of a road, to distracted by each other to see the long & amazing journey laid out before you. Which is kind of on point for Ellis & how I like to write him. He's a man who used to have a lot of dreams, a lot of ways he wanted his life to play out. He's still young by the end of the blight & most of those dreams are still... within reach. But he doesn't recognize that because he's always at war with his grief, his rage & himself overall. It drives him to think a lot about that everything that could have been, the things he wanted in a past life & how out of reach they seem now.

So i guess the way to answer this specific ask is that Ellis has always been a dreamer. When he was a boy he wanted nothing more than to be some sort of legendary hero, to be like loghain or any other legend from the war. He wanted to be a great warrior & face every day as a new adventure. Which I suppose he gets in the end, but it's in no way like he thought it would be... so he thinks those ideas are unachievable because they didn't play out exactly how he wanted them to / they didn't feel half as good as he thought.

After the blight healways sort of wants for things he knows he can't have because he found, through the blight, that the idealization of situations are a lot easier to swallow than the harsh reality that would actually happen. He always wants to find morrigan, to have a family with them, to desperately grab for the seratonin that comes from the idea of it... though he fears what making that idea reality would do? if that makes sense.

He likes to hope for things he can't have because it's easier than wanting something & it not living up to expectations. he would never, ever admit to that though... he often deludes himself into thinking otherwise, sort of trapping him in a cycle of self inflicted suffering.
