not gonna lie i blue-screened on this one bc to me the inside of her mind sounds like a computer fan whirring but maybe in every dream home a heartache by jane birkin + bryan ferry, or the rockrose and the thistle by the amazing devil.

9. Could you be roommates with this character?

answered here but tl;dr absolutely not. we'd be in a stalemate of sickening cordiality... i would try to out-polite her and be so annoyed that i couldn't.

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.

I REALLY HAD TO THINK ABOUT THIS... as part of germa, i think reiju would treat her wardrobe as another tactical asset. she would deliberately dress in lighter colours and gauzy materials, nothing that accentuates her shoulders or physical strength, nothing too glamourised but with occasional puffed sleeves and ruffles to make her seem less threatening.

if she could be bothered, she'd delight in little details that almost contradicted that airy, casual look - butterfly themed eyeliner for her whole theme, neck scarfs (she's suffocating in this house... elegantly <3 <- just alive girl thingz), or sharp metalic earcuffs to denote her exoskeleton. everything is either a misdirection or a small morbid inside joke with herself <3

I’m literally in love with everything you do, and while I’m intrigued about redhead Healing Incantation! Jack (it makes him look like the opposite element that he actually is), what if his glow was actually Sandy’s dreamsand glow, and his eyes were the same color, and when he used the healing incantation he imagined Sandy, who sacrificed his life for him, and wants to pay it back, and that’s what the healing incantation takes form in for him, a misty golden haze, different from Rapunzel’s brilliant golden halo, and unlike Rapunzel, his glow actually moves and sways.

Yeah I went for "haha much funny he looks like Merida now" instead of the cooler route but both fit me thinks 👌👌

I have to fudge this one because what I love best about your writing is your insight into character and you’ve written so many so well, but there’s a special place in my heart for your Silaena Arendae. You really breathe life into a ghost that haunts Daeran’s narrative!

9. A fic i'm excited for you updating/posting

To the Roots of Something Greener - Daeran & Sparrow living happily ever after but still having to cope with the ghosts of the past and challenges of the future… I dearly love this one and I hope there will be more sometime.

(I'm so sorry it took so long to respond to this, I have in fact been hoarding these like a little rat that got their hands on delicious cheese)

But Dujour. Screaming crying at this that you like my characterization best...that you like Silaena so much....all I ever wanted was to drag her out of the fridge and to hear that she resonates is just such a gift...

And I'm so glad you like my little postcanon daerrow snippets!! I honestly find their postcanon more interesting than their canon in a lot of ways lol, canon is where they fall in love but postcanon is where they make it last. I obviously do have a lot of thoughts about more postcanon stories, adn while some will be longer form and not put directly in roots because of it I definitely will be telling more of their stories!

Hi, thank you so much for your ask!! 💕

This is going to be slightly deep because it's very personal, but I know it's worth talking about. We all have stories that go beyond what anyone might expect, and we are all complex beings, so...

Honestly, the fic I'm working on now (Echoes of Redemption) is probably the hardest for me to write emotionally. While there are parts that are so much fun, and I love getting to voice all of the ST characters that I adore, the idea of writing a redemption arc for a character that I empathize with on a really deep level has led to digging up and reliving some old trauma. I know I have come a long way since being a childhood bully, but I still have so many regrets and fears surrounding that time in my life, and not a day goes by when I don't think about it.

I am always trying to be better than I was yesterday, and it has been both painful and cathartic to write a parallel of my own story into this fic, but it's also why I love working on it because I want to see Billy get better for the same reasons I wanted to get better.
