Sid, why do you think people think Kagome is “so annoying” and “whiny?” How exactly did she earn this reputation among her (rather dumb) haters.

The world is not kind to 15 years old girls, and what is Kagome, if not the perfect representation of one?

People forgot they can dislike a character just because and then move on. They'd rather grasp at straws to try and justify themselves, that way they can pretend they're being rational about the constant hate they're spreading when, truthfully, they're just being miserable.

Kagome specifically is in even greater disadvantage because her critics are, mostly, people who haven't read the source material and are instead basing their takes on a biased adaptation – which they probably watched ages before developping any critical skills – or people who see her as a threat to their ship and therefore are already prone to hate her.

The first group won't ever bother going out of their way to try and get a better grasp of her character by reading a 558 chapters long manga and the second group won't change their minds either way.

That's why they call her out for using the beads of subjugation even if: it wasn't her idea in the first place, it served to balance her relationship with Inuyasha at the beginning – since he was powerful and violent while she wasn't –, the rosary became a symbol of their bond, it saved Inuyasha a couple of times and he was always more annoyed than hurt by it, not to mention Sunrise blowing it out of proportion compared to the manga.

You never see Inuyasha getting bashed for hitting Shippo every other episode or Sango getting any heat for constantly slapping Miroku, because funnily enough people seem to understand it was just dumb, outdated, slapstick comedy, a courtesy they refuse to extend to Kagome.

That's also the reason they call her “annoying” and “whiny”: Kagome’s most important lesson was that it's okay to have feelings, so naturally they twisted that into a bad thing in order to keep hating on her. It's not about how her character was written, it's about people using of bad faith and deliberately mischaracterizing Kagome to pass their internalized misogyny as valid criticism.

I know part of the issue is that audiences nowadays are under the impression that for a female character to be strong, she can't cry or be feminine, but you don't see anyone hating on Sango even though she does cry and she can be as feminine as Kagome depending on the circunstances and on her mood.

The truth is that Kagome is playing a game she can never win, because the refs have decided they want her to lose before the match even starts.

If she stands up and sets boundaries for herself, she's annoying. If she doesn't, she's a doormat. If she feels jealousy, she's a bitch. If she shows kindness, she's boring. If she fights, she's overpowered. If she doesn't, she's useless. If any other character cries, it's heartbreaking. If she cries, she's whiny.

If she goes back to her own world, she's selfish. If she leaves that world behind to live the life she wants for herself, she's a stupid girl who left her family for a boy. If she does something grand, that's only because she's someone else's reincarnation. If she messes something up, the fault is hers and hers alone. She is, somehow, simultaneously a Mary Sue and a toxic abuser.

I've personally seen people slut shaming her because she got hitted on by Koga. I've personally seen people call her a "pick me" girl. Kagome. A pick me girl. Kagome.

And none of this is fair, because she is the kind of character who does her best to see the good in others, to understand the reasons why they act the way they do and to offer them some grace, but she gets very little of that in return, be it in canon, be it in fandom.

They always hold her up to such an impossible standard, but they completely forget to ask themselves: would the characters I stan be able to match the expectations I set for Kagome? Scratch that: would the characters I stan even be able to deal with things the way Kagome managed to do? Would I? The answer is most likely no, so how about cutting her a slack?

You ask me how did she earn this reputation among her rather dumb haters, my answer is: she didn't. They're just incapable of understanding that if a particular nuanced, well written, female character is not their cup of tea, they can simply ignore her and focus their attention on the characters they do like instead of spreading their baseless, misogynistic takes on the internet.

ok so when you say you know nothing about them I’m going to assume you mean like… absolutely nothing. after listening to the music i think youtube is a pretty good place to begin getting into the My Chemcial Romance Lore. very visual band. definitely watch the music videos on their channel if you haven’t already—any behind the scenes/making of videos, live performances, and promo videos on there are really great too. their tour diary/documentary Life on the Murder Scene is CRUCIAL. Some other nice ones to look at afterwards are mcr in the studio 2002, this WSOU interview, this 97x a look back with mcr series, this kevin smith smodcast... also anything from steven’s untitled rock show or fuse tv for early stuff !!! mcr’s career can be split into 4 extremely distinct eras corresponding with each of their albums, so you can pretty much pick what you’re most into and investigate from there… some other fun ways to learn about them are searching up magazine scans/articles (AP, kerrang, and rock sound covered them a lot, plus SPIN and nme a bit), combing through my chemcial romance dot com on the wayback machine (their blog posts are a highlight), checking out fan zines and archives (lots on tumblr and also ig), and reading Books (off the top of my head i can think of Not the Life it Seems by tom bryant and Where are Your Boys Tonight by Chris Payne). Also the Killjoys comic series if you dig danger days 😎. ok i’ll stop there!!! this is mostly like… how to Find the lore, rather than the lore itself haha. i hope you find it helpful! anyone who wants to add on pls do…

tbh from what we've seen? anti-endogenic hate is usually boiled down to 'tumblr puriteen seeing anti-endo posts from people who *really* go out their way to exclude them, and deciding that since they have a large following/large amount of notes in a post, they *must* be correct'. you see it all the time; even blogs that have nothing to do with plurality exclude us, because anti-endos are some of the loudest and most numerous people on here (at this point we've blocked well over a hundred anti-endo blogs, and that number goes higher every day), they have the power to control the narrative no matter how much you push back.

Honestly that's the most of it from what we can gather too. It's annoying at best and extremely harmful at its usual standard but overall we see not too much we can do aside from being out about ourselves--which we have been for years now. We will also continue to do so, because even if there will always be people against us for whatever reason they come up with, we are our own people and make our own decisions. We won't hide in a corner just because people are making assumptions, we've done enough of that in our life. We didn't dissapear when we were posted to a cringe subreddit (which gave the person who posted us as cringe almost 3000 upvotes), we won't do it now, or ever.

And hey, the amount of nice anons we get talking about how us being here and proud and talkative about identities makes them feel more confident in themselves and open to their own experiences means we're doing the right thing in our mind. We do this for us, and if it helps people along the way no matter how small of an influence, that's more reason to continue.

Okay so I did miss WIP Wednesday this week but here's a little snippet of the Azriel x Rhys!sister fic that has been haunting my days and nights for like two weeks (It's kind of still a pile of hot garbage but its getting there).

Also just to preface the dialogue is very heavily inspired/partially taken from the wedding episode of House of the Dragon.

“Take me then -- I am not yet married.” You implore, offering yourself up to him again. A warning. A plea. 

“The hours pass so swiftly, Azriel,” you say breathily, the ghost of a taunt on your lips as they pass over him in the spaces between the seconds. “You are armed, yes?”

“Yes.” Azriel’s breath is hot on your neck. His teeth graze over the pulse point in an errant movement; all teeth and tongue as if he might tear it open just to taste you one last time. Your delicate hand traces the graceful curve of his spine, following the line of his body to rest on the hilt of Truth Teller as it rests on his hip. 

“So take me,” Through darkened lashes his eyes find yours. Onyx streaked with bronze and topaz, flecked with gold and dappled emerald. In their depths you find your home. Him who is cut from the mountain stone and painted the color of the Illyrian wilderness. He had always been your home.  

It’s an impossible ask, this much you know. He would have to forsake all else; his honor, his home, his faith, his family. So you resign yourself to the reality that this will be your undoing. 

“Cut through my father’s men, my Mate” The words themselves are loaded with dangerous tension as you cup his jaw, willing him to look at you. 

“Take me to Illyria and claim me as your wife.” for a brief moment you abandon yourself to the thought. Azriel looses a shaky breath, his beautiful eyes lined silver.

11. Is itachi a martyr, a victim, or a perpetrator?

I think he's all three.

Itachi is an incredibly complex character and i really don't like how some people try to make him out to be a hero or an amazing big brother.

At the end of the day he was a child brought up in a system that took advantage of him. He saw war and death at an insanely young age and I do think he was indoctrinated by konoha into viewing his own clan as a danger to the social order. This doesn't excuse him from murdering his entire clan, but i think it does provide context as to why he felt like he "had" to do it.

Also, he traumatized sasuke multiple times for literally no reason like bro murdering the whole family was enough, why are you making him watch that shit?? And why are you telling him to kill his best friend????

Like yes he obviously cares a lot for sasuke but he was also needlessly cruel.

I never thought about it like that but i guess so? In anime where characters literally have like pink/purple hair and magic eye powers i don't really associate color palette choice with race but i do see the logic there.

Hallo Anon! Yes, that reblog - (THIS POST HERE) - was about the promo on Smackdown as well as a lot of other stuff that constantly gets said in Wrestling. I think, like a lot of people, I'm just tired of hearing those sorts of comments.

For example, I am forever done with people bringing up Kevin Owens or Eddie Kingston's weight/body as a negative in promos. It's lazy and boring and... Honestly, hurtful to the fans too. And that's just scratching the very surface. I know this has been going on for YEARS in wrestling and it probably always will do, but I'm just done with it. This isn't even going into the racist, sexist, and homophobic/transphobic comments that are said and used.

2. Anything that you'd like to write but feel like you're unable to?

I have a few WIPs I'm not sure I can write yet, both because of my current ability and knowledge I lack, but I'm doing my best to get there. There was one WIP I did a lot of planning and world building to that I felt was beyond me, but I feel like I finally reached a point where I can start it at the very least, so we'll see how it goes.

29. What's the hardest thing about writing?

Writing? Like translating ideas and thoughts to words in a cohesive way, which I know is an extremely general thing to say, but I find the basics to be the hardest part. Even with a very detailed scene by scene summary, translating it into proper text is terrifying to me to some extent.

33. Give your writing a compliment.

Oh wow, okay, so I feel like I'm good with plotting and planning, and I also quite like my dialogues. I read an older piece I wrote the other day, and while I had a lot to say about the writing, I was very pleasenly surprised with my dialogues:)

People really forget about bisexuals don't they. It's like bi characters are only there so fandom could headcanon them as gay because gay is even better rep or whatever. I'm just so sick of people throwing away a canon bi character's sexuality just so they could force them into tropes like the useless lesbian trope or what have you.

I remember when I first downloaded dating apps and I thought all the guys would think I’m a lesbian and all the girls would think I’m straight… I was daunted to re-enter the dating world. Basically daunted to exist without changing an aspect of who I am. This shittiness feeling, it echoes all the way to fiction and fandom spaces. And that makes me sad, because gay/lesbian ppl kinda get to escape their experiences of homophobia in fandom spaces and reflect onto gay/lesbian characters, in somewhere that feels more accepting to how harsh homophobia is irl.

Us bisexuals, we don’t really… get that as much? I mean, don’t get me wrong, biphobia irl is like a hundred times worse than on tumblr but like… for centuries, bi has been a footnote for gay/lesbian. And I don’t know how long it’ll take to change that.

I guess that’s why it’s called a “bisexual community”. I usually am not a fan when people say it like “bisexual community”, “the lgbtq community” bc I prefer just saying “the lgbtq” or “bisexuals”. But now? I get it. We really are a community. Bc even tho I’ve never met you anon, you get some pieces of what I’ve been through, and vice versa. And when it gets tough, we can recall that little army of fellow bisexuals that reside in our hearts.

3.(Drama warning)One of castins ex-girlfriends tries to make the baroness Jealous.Like talk about how he probably fvcked her better than he does her.Love her more than the baroness and just try make her insecure/jealous.

Castins soldiers/friends start to defend the baroness and tell castins ex to fvck off.Ex gets pissed and walks off.castins friends/soldiers tell the baroness that Castin def.loves her more than anyone.

He always wants to cook for his wife, to feed and nourish her very being. He always wants to make her cum, take care of her in every way imaginable. Hold onto her and never let this woman go.

What was your first ever oc? (That you remember)

My first ever oc was my first fursona which was a were fox/wolf hybrid called forsakenvixen in his hispo form. My original fursona. He shares a ton of similarities in terms set up with similar markings my current sona. Which I made after him in 2009. Forsakenvixen is from 1998. hes my oldest and first oc. His original boyfriend was my ICP oc called FlipSide FreakShow who was an undead juggalo..... who could pull himself apart and reattch himself at will. he was made right after...*facepalms at how cringe it sounds now* but I'm living for it.. I miss baby mes no focus creativity. I don't have old art of forsakenvixen from 1998 but I do got some art from when I was 13-14 years old. Yay for babies $1 store supply art Though he is making a comeback soon as just a blast from the past oc on my website. I'll post him when I get him done here tho : )
