Here is the beginning of a super fluffy drabble that I started writing and never finished, because it didn't have much plot other than "that man is so in love with his life in Boston and is extra cheesy in showing it".

He's not supposed to be here. Right now, he's supposed to be in a meeting with ten or so of Boston's most prestigious neurosurgeons, and he's not sure the excuse he gave them to blow them off and reschedule (the good ol' family emergency) is going to hold when it comes to scrutiny. And it's not like the foundation doesn't have drivers employed especially for this purpose: they drive to the airport, wait at the arrivals gate with a little sign in their hands, pick up whoever they're supposed to pick up, and drive them to the foundation's headquarters or whatever hotel they're staying at. And yet here he is, having driven to the airport, standing at the arrivals gate, with a little sign in his hands (that says "Mrs April Kepner and Miss Harriet Kepner-Avery" in big, bright letters, and yes, there's just a touch of glitter, because his daughter loves glitter and he had to borrow some of her crafts supplies anyway), to pick up his wife and his daughter, fresh off the plane from Ohio, and drive them home. He usually joins them when they go visit April's family. Even though Karen Kepner still looks at him sometimes like he's going to burn in hell, she's still satisfied when he empties his plate and asks for seconds at family dinners, and Joe is still happy to talk to him about sports and Harriet, two of their favorite subjects. But he had to stay in Boston to handle another crisis, and their week of off time in Ohio became a mother-daughter trip. His smile is wide when he spots his two girls coming. It grows larger when he sees Harriet notice him. Squealing, she lets go of April's hand despite her mother's protests, drops her little suitcase and sprints right into Jackson's arms. Laughing, he engulfs her in a bear hug, lifting her and holding her tight against his chest. Over Harriet's shoulder, he sees April join them, her smile reaching her eyes. He lifts his other arm to include her in the hug, and for a few perfect seconds, he breathes.

One of my head canons is that Simon’s favourite fruits are watermelon and mango. Actually he likes all kinds of fruit but tangerines are what he eats the most in the show because they’re cheap and easy to get a hold of (especially in autumn/winter).

hello mileven shipper you seem nice 🥹 i think they are real because of all the evidence we have you might not see it we all have different opinions to me the show is pointing to byler endgame the biggest proof we have is 2 things mike acting so weird at the airport not even wanting to hug him properly knowing will painted something for someone he likes by reading els letter and the other is the painting lie mike still does not know it was from will we still have to see his reaction in s5 no matter what happens in s5 and whos endgame i hope bylers and milevens can get along 🤝

My personal wish is a käärijä x joker out song mixing his type of production and the shagadellic instruments and the song is basically about having fun with someone who doesn't speak your language but you find common places + you have learning words + some stuff is just universal (like, idk, dancing, laughing, fucking /j...). So maybe the song is in finnish with glimpses of slovenian english and whatever they want and it's like the perfect topic for people who met at eurovision and the mix of genres etc serves the topic. Also it's fun enough.

That sure would be something! Hearing their unique sounds mix like that would be a whole show on it’s own!

It would be interesting to see Joker Out do something more lighthearted and humorous in tone, like Käärijä’s music usually is. On the other hand, knowing how incredibly emotionally inteligent Jere is, and how diverse Finnish rap as a genere can be, hearing him as a part of something closer to Joker Out’s heavier songs would be an eyeopening experience.

In other words, I’ve got no idea how their sounds would mix or what the outcome would be. It could be pretty much anything from EC’s Castrop X Spandau, to Keinu by Cheek. The sky’s the limit with a duo like Jere and Bojan.

Are you the person who asked what the gender-neutral word for spouse was? If so, how is it like to have a post where you make an easy to make mistake blow up and have multiple people you don't even know only know you for that? It could of been a worse post, but I don't imagine it's a nice feeling and I hope you're doing well.

LMAO yes that's me... and idk, i've had a lot of other posts blow up, but that one in particular seems, well... particularly memorable to people, apparently? I've been told by multiple different people that they got the phrase "i may be stupid" from that post, and thanked me for changing their vocabulary with it! it's always a joy to hear about that.

yes, i've also gotten quite a lot of mean-spirited comments when looking through the tags/comments of that post too, people calling me an idiot or a dumbass etc... those do hurt after a while, even though i know they don't mean it personally. i think that that post was also re-posted to some other social media sites, but ngl i mostly only use tumblr so i'm not aware what anyone may have said anywhere else. i am a bit curious/nosy, so if anyone has a link to those, (or any other post i made that got reposted), feel free to send em to me.

overall tho, i'm just glad i could make people laugh! everyone gets a silly brain fart every once in a while, i figured i would post about mine. i'm just glad so many people had a chuckle over it.

EDIT: forgot to mention this but it always always makes me laugh my ass off when i tell a friend about that post, and then without fail, they say, "Vivian, YOU made that post?!"

about all the speculative elf posts you reblog and add to— i just imagine these are the conversations that mirkwood elves are having in the 3rd age, far from lorien and rivendell, as they get absolutely drunk off their asses. one time elrond gets invited to a gala in mirkwood and people forget that they can't have silly conversations about his dad in front of him (once they're drunk enough, at least).

(any conversations about 1st age or years of the trees-age elves, however, are fucking hilarious to galadriel, who i think might have a little bit of a smug survivor complex deep down).

Well fun fact: Bilbo actually composes a song about Ëarendil and sings it to Elrond 😂😂

You know when suddenly you realize someone makes your heart happy? and then they are warm, funny, exciting, intelligent and it just feels like you can put your walls down for them and you just want be around their energy because it feels safe and leaving it feels cold. i think this is sort of what falling in love looks like to me. and yeah, all of these things become part of me, for better or for worse. every love ends up like a tattoo on my skin

I find I'm good at introspection more than anything, and I enjoyed just using metaphors of the land around England to portray him as a person. Longbow is another, I really like portraying their flawed and often fraught relationships with one another.

Here are a few lines I'd written for a fic (I think it was for Three), but that ultimately were removed during the editing process and ended up in the "random sentences/paragraphs that have no context or specific plot but that I still keep just in case" file (tell me we all have one of those...?).

Jackson had never let things happen to him. Everything he did in his life, he chose to do it. He didn't become a doctor because of his family, but because he truly decided, after careful consideration, that he wanted to pass his MCATs and go to med school. He chose to go to Mercy West instead of Mass Gen, to stay in Seattle for his fellowship, despite what it cost him. Even in his personal life, his choices were conscious, measured. He could have fallen for Lexie Grey, but deep in his mind, he knew she was still hung up on Sloan, so he chose to protect his heart and didn't let himself fall in love with her. In lust? Maybe. But his crush didn't go further, because he decided not to let it. Life is all about choices, and he wouldn't let anyone make them in his place. But he didn't choose April. She happened to him, and at first he had no idea how to deal with the whirlwind of feelings that came with her.

75. What’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for you?

ahh that’s so hard to say, i think there’s a lot of things… i tend to appreciate absolutely everything people do for me. but i did date a guy who, on our first ”proper” date, he took me to a greek restaurant and ordered vegetarian food and red wine for us and for the entire date he just let me talk about my special interests. on the way home we had a spitting contest and we chased (very quietly and politely) after a hedgehog while drunk off our minds. on our next date he also bought me stimtoys 😭

76. What’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever done for someone?

i feel so weird saying that anything i’ve done is/was sweet, but… i travelled for 48 hours to see my ex (she was my gf at the time) just for a few hours because her family wasn’t understanding. i just wanted to see her and as horrible as that relationship was i think it was worth it and we did have a good time!

I assume this is for the ask! I'm going to enjoy this one!

Wasted Potential:

I would have loved for Light's character to have more explicit struggles with homosexuality and mental illness. In the series, he views the world as a horrible place that needs justice and this could coincide with morality OCD. I personally headcanon Light with OCD, as someone who struggles with OCD myself I latch onto this strongly (I am not saying canon!Light has OCD, this is headcanon verse). Especially strong morality OCD, which is an obsession with being "good" or "pure", etc. Internalised homophobia can coincide with OCD as a sexuality obsession. He views it as his duty to serve "justice" to the victims of the criminals and comes up with that reason to justify the two deaths he committed. This would have been a fascinating take, and something I might explore in fanfic one day! This came out as gibberish, but I actually have strong thoughts on this that I won't fully express in this post.

I still don't know why top of the nation prodigy Light Yagami does not understand socioeconomics and the Japanese justice systems flaws. Like, their high conviction rates due to their confession methods is fucked and I don't understand why Light wouldn't know that giving the fact that his Dad is quite literally a cop and Light is meant to be a genius. And Japan has a lack of laws against racial discrimination and do racially profile, surely Light would know that if he is oh so smart? Fuck this guy is out of touch.
