am going to do my absolute BEST not to ramble too much here, but okay so!! 4 Chay things that will have me back-flipping out of a fic at the speed of light:

babyfication of Chay

i just. ugh. ugh. he is not a baby. he's a 17-18yo guy who half-raised himself due to some shit circumstances and took care of himself entirely by himself for minimum several months. the only difference between him and an adult is that he's not making his own income. Porsche and Arthee doing their best to give Chay as much of a childhood as they can afford him still doesn't change the fact that Chay grew up young and fast just like the rest of this cast. if he acts uwu innocent baby i'm gone. if the author calls him an uwu baby in their notes i'm gone. ugh.

being weird about Chay's or Barcode's age, specifically in regards to sex

as above, i'm pretty shirty about people babying him in general, but fandom is plain weird about Chay having sex. esp him and Kim having sex. 1. their age gap is not that big, and their circumstances have left them on pretty equal footing re the growing up too fast thing. 2. please assess why you think 18 fixes whatever your concerns are with 17yos having sex. 3. teens have sex. dunno what tf was happening with the rest of you but i knew kids even young as junior high who were already fucking. sure, i thought they were fucking idiots for it, but my concerns about people having sex young are rooted in the fact that sex is an inherently very vulnerable act and that's a lot to put yourself thru emotionally during the age range when everything's a wild emotional cocktail. but like. teens still do it. teens are gonna experiment with adult things and sometimes that means experimenting with sex. i personally might not think it's a good idea, but something not being a good idea doesn't inherently make it a bad one either. please stop being weird about it thanks.

i just really don't like it. part of it's related to the babyfication thing, but mostly it's just one of those silly things my brain went nOPE on and oh well. back click. 😂

mischaracterizing Chay's anger

so like. this one is tricky because a lot of it comes down to personal interpretation of canon, but also like. a lot of my mischaracterization gripes involves people writing tropes or drama anger instead of Chay's anger, so. yeah. 😂 a lot of people default to writing explosive anger because it's easier to write, but in canon Chay is just. so completely not explosive. and it's not because he's bottling up anger (which!! even if he was, suddenly exploding due to pressure isn't a good thing, gah).

a lot of Chay's personality stems from Needing To Be Okay. a lot of Chay's personal motivations are trying to help Porsche with his burdens and when Porsche won't let him take on extra responsibilities, Chay does what he can to not add to Porsche's plate. and part of not being a burden is quietly dealing with his anger and resentments on his own time. (another factor playing into that is Porsche and Chay really only have each other-- Porsche deals with his anger very quietly too, and it's very characteristic of how they really don't want to hurt each other because they don't have many other people they care about, so they remove themselves from tense/bad situations best they can to reflect on their anger and return to talk about it after they've calmed down.)

Chay is fierce in his anger, but he withdraws when he's pissed and he always tries to talk it out with the intention of achieving clarity. and if i don't feel like a story's going to handle Chay's resentment/anger in a way that feels true to how it was shown in canon (there's a few litmus tests but mostly i'm going by vibes), i just click out because i already know any plot conflict won't feel fully or properly resolved to me in the end :/

We literally almost lost Pepito last night. Phil and Bagi resorted to OG methods of finding him,(the map, which is unreliable) they did not know what to do during vital seconds before death. Bold take but I'll say it: Every creator wants or enjoys the EGGs presence but not all are actually willing or able to care for said egg/s. (Still waiting and in hope for the 2 life system to be a thing of the past because it gets stressful.) In real life it take a lot to care for child and its no different on qsmp.

It take the village and when events come up in real life(vacations/conferences etc) it gets scary on the server.

It was awesome for em sunny and pepito to get a bday party and as much i love seeing all the little egg beans bounce around and thrive.. with only three adults? - My mind: PLEASE!! I'm so glad we don't have an active enemy yet..

Jensen and I have been talking for a few hours, I look at my watch and say. 'Oh shit Jens it's ten! we have ten mins to get back to the con and set up"

He stands up and says. "let's go then" We walk out of the cafe and head back to the place where the con is being held, I see Jared talking to Gen and i look at Jensen and he says. "not worth it right no y/n"

I nod and grab the pictures that we will be signing.

Jared's pov.

Oh y/n and J are back! ooo i am like a kid on Christmas! I walk over to them. "Morning you twoooo" Y/N looks at me and says. "hit set up man!" Jensen says to me. "come on man! Setting us up? that's a low even for you."

"Oof! Uh sorry about that but you two do seem like more than what you say about each other."

I look at y/n and she is setting up the table still. She looks at me and says. 'We had a nice time but it's only a one time thing..We talked and wanted to stay as best friends"

I sigh. "Y/N...J guys come on! You two reallyy don't see this!?"

Jensen glances at Y/n and i say. "Ah ha!! See that look you just gave her says there is more than a friendship"

Jensen's pov.

"Jared let it go man don't make me start singing the fucking song" I raise an eye brow and he says. "Shit fine i'll let it gooooo for now" He walks away and y/n says. "jens can you grab the markers please? they should be at the photo op table" "Got it"

I walk away and grab them and walk back. 'here you go" She smiles at me and says. 'thanks J"

the con stats up and y/n and the cast are talking to fans and jensen sits by y/n and someone says. "You guys are so cute!" y/n smiles. "uh thanks so much"

By half way through the comic con you want a coffee and jensen offers to go to starbucks and grab one. "thanks J if you don't mind" he says. "Sure sure it's just a few minutes down the road"

He says. "jared! i need to go grab coffee can you keep my seat warm?" jared laughs. "ok get me a chai pleaseeee!" y/n laughs and says. "ohh i want a special coffee J if you don't mind"

Jensen looks at Y/n and says. 'okay what can i get?" She says. "oat milk latte with a hint of cinnamon please" He laughs. 'oo fancyyy" Y/n smiles and says. "Well when we get back to Austin i'll get my regular coffee"

He nods and says. "okay back soon" he walks away and gets into a rental and drives to the starbucks and orders coffees.

JensenAckles: When y/n asks for coffee i just have to get one for myself! 🤪

jensen drives back to the con and walks in and hands you the coffee. "here you go darling" You take it and say. "oh thank you! it's freezing out there uh?"

"not too bad"

Time skip: 3 days.

"Ah home sweet home" i say as i walk into my Living room. "hello home" i set my suitcase down and get a text from Jared.

Jared-Hey y/n?

Y/N-yes?

Jared-sorry for the set up ;( I just thought you two would love to hang out..i know you guys like being together..forgive me?

I set my phone down and sit on the couch and scroll through instagram. I see so many faces from the con and i say. "oh i have a picture"

We go over the script and i see jensen calling me. "Excuse me just one second' I walk away and say. "hey jens" he says "hey darling how are you?"

"I'm good, just going over the script with danni right now did you get back safe?"

"yea i did listen did you want to go out to um..dinner with me tonight?"

"Just you and me? oh my god is this a set up?" he laughs over the phone. "No i wanted to go out with you if you don't want too then that's fine too just thought i'd ask"

"no jens uh sure i mean sorry but after what Jared did i tend to think it'll be a set up again, But yea i'll go out to dinner with you"

"great pick you up at five then?"

I nod. "yea works for me, fancy or not?' he says. "Whatever you want darling" I smile. "okay sounds good, see you tonight then" He says. "See you, bye" "bye' i hang up and walk back to danneel and she says. "Who was that?"

I sit down. "jensen, he asked me out for dinner" She smiles. 'Ooo!! He likes you!" I laugh. 'Did i tell you what Jared did tho?" she shakes hear. 'No what was that?"

"he set me up with jens for coffee, made up that he was sick" Danni laughs. "sounds like jared to me! aww so how did the coffee date go?" I say. "It wasn't a date danni just to friends out for coffee" I smile and she says. 'Ah sureee it was"

We laugh and go back to the script but in the back of my mind, i am so looking forward to seeing jensen again. hmm maybe this is a date.

Hi Fi Rush…

HOLYYYY SHITTTTTTT ACTUAL PEAK FICTION!!!!

Idk where to begin ima be real.

But to start I do not like rhythm games, especially ones where you just have to touch in a rhythmic order. It not that they are bad it’s just that it’s the same thing but with different songs and a pallet. Osu! & Voze are Prime examples of this and they are really boring to me, hit the timing in the exact order. Other rhythm games like P4D, Love Live, & Enstars have 3D models to fall back on for visuals which are cool but they don’t give enough gameplay wise where I could place them above others. Thankfully there are games that take the rhythm aspect and put it towards other genres which is cool, but personally they don’t attract me 100% to be put on my radar since I have other games to finish/play… wait Xbox has game!? *Also on Steam* GOD DAMN IT!!

Hi Fi Rush was that game, that HOOK, that feel! I don’t have to play whatever anime op is on another anime rhythm game, I can bop to the beat of “The Prodigy: Invaders Must Die”! I love how EVERYTHING goes to the beat, like EVERYTHING EVERYTHING! The combos can technically be off the beat but you really wanna be on that funk since each enemy area will score you on how much you were on that beat. It’s highly encouraged & mandatory to learn how to tap to the beat. Thankfully there are very helpful tools in-game so the gameplay experience isn’t to hard for beginners.

Story is very simple (and there are no god awful twists thank GOD) with VERY lovable characters. Being only 10 hours long I was expecting not to much will happen with the characters but even with how short the game is, the character development is pretty cute mainly with Chai and Peppermint. This game does not take itself to seriously and I’m all for that, getting real tired of recent games taking itself wayyy to seriously. A very nice refresher for the start of 2023.

The original sound track isn’t bad either, its really good especially the boss themes. The choices for license music tho wasn’t to bad either, and if you are a steamer no worries there is a “Streamer Mode” in the game which replaces licensed tracks with original music.

Overall, AMAZING GAME!!! I would be giving it a 11/10 but “Creep” by Radio Head wasn’t in the game so I have to dock a point so 10/10! I LOVE YOU KORSICA MY BELOVED!!! “BUT IM A CREEP!!!! IM A WIERDOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

KinnPorsche Rewatch 2023

Episode 10 Random Thoughts

So much in this episode relating to trust. It's gonna be good. But also bad. I enjoy this one.

Ah, Porsche... I know you want to get to the bottom of all this, but I don't know if trusting Vegas is the way to do it lol

I do like how, fairly consistently, the actors keep their fingers off the trigger of their guns. That's the way you're supposed to do it, put it up above, flat against the gun itself. Thank you, actors.

Hmm... KimChay cuddle scene. I have many thoughts about this one... First off, I love that Kim went from "lemme kiss Chay on the cheek, but that's it" to full on cuddling. This man doesn't know how to emote properly, or let himself have emotions about things sometimes. He has problems with intimacy and relationships (platonic, romantic, familial, what have you) as we see in this scene when he breaks Chay's heart (and mine, fuck) by saying "I'm hungry" after Chay has bared his soul to the guy and asked for love in return (Which don't get me wrong, it's sooo fast for Chay to be saying the L-word [-lesbian? -no, scott. -lesbianS?] but he's used to people leaving him, or not being able to stick around so like... he wants Kim to stick around. Plus he's a teenager still. Things are fleeting when you're a teenager. I fucking get it.)

Continuing on a bit of a tangent from the point above: the micro-expressions that Jeff conveys here looks like a mixture of oh god what have I gotten myself into and this boy is breaking my heart I actually like him so much but I hate that I like him. And the look he gives Chay when he asks "Do you love me?" ... I can see behind those eyes he's screaming yeeeees, I fucking do, but I can't bring myself to say it. jUST CONFRONT YOUR EMOTIONS, KIM, YOU DUMBASS, I SWEAR TO GOD.

How was he planning on just secretly leaving though?? There's like one way out of the house, and it's the way Chay just went, bro.

Kim to the rescue is my favoriiiiiiiiiiiiiiite the kick is so good, the fighting is so good, ughhhh.

The fact that this man takes two stun gun hits before he goes down is so impressive though.

I don't like Tawan reaching in over Arm to get to the computer.

Hooooo boy; going out with my head wrapped is becoming a chore this last month, and I am SO THANKFUL I have a husband who constantly gets mistaken for an ex-con / ex-spec ops / ex-biker / general "fuck around and find out, I dare you, because I WILL put you 12 feet under for fucking with my Wife" kind of mf. Ooph)

We got a new trash can since my dumb butt managed to break our other one a month or so ago (I literally have no idea how). But I also bought the ingredients for Choucroute Garnie- which is apparently a traditional Alsatian (slash potentially Pennsylvanian Dutch? The article's a tad confusing) Pork and Sauerkraut New Years meal. So that's mark 2 for a new Ancestral food region- and it was damned good, actually.

I bought some of that really thick backstrap Bacon for it, and some Cajun style Rice and Pork Sausages. Instead of White Wine, though, I used some of the leftover Hard Cider I still had from one of the Porter's events because it's what I had and I didn't want to open a bottle of white wine just for this (plus, we drink sweet and it called for dry White 🤮); just enough to kind of re-wet the Beer Sauerkraut I bought, after I'd strained it ... And all the spices tossed in (Juniper Berry, Mixed Peppercorn Blend, Bay Leaf, and Clove) really just ... Makes it, honestly.

I served it with some Red Potatoes and Onions, nice and crispy fried up in all the grease that was leftover from frying the bacon, with a dash of Garlic and Thyme 🤤 So damned good.

My stomach seems to be handling it great, too, which is always a huge bonus right now given everything- unlike last night's Chicken Soup, sadly; the soup did go down eventually, but my stomach had one hell of a hard time with it and I still got nauseous.

Going to take another break, then try and finish as much of the cleaning as I can finally- then get the Smoke Cleansing done and the Ancestor offerings laid out; I bought some Lemon Muffins for them, and I'm going to make some Ivan-Chai with Linden Honey ... Maybe I can bribe them into giving me a better year next year 🤣

Would be great (and sure would make it easier) if my Neuropathy wasn't acting back up again, though.

But I think at the end of the day, when all the playful teasing is said and done, there's an underlying sense of coziness and companionship to be had there. Alhaitham: (The Devil - Reversed) I'm pretty sure that this is a pretty easy-going, fresh relationship that seems pretty light and airy. For the most part, the two of you keep it independent and healthy and let each other have a ton of breathing room in your own lives. It's a bit unconventional but hey, nothing wrong with that! Sometimes you probably wanna punch him /hj but there's certainly chemistry there.

There's something really fun about summer. I love the outdoors, less traffic, and longer days. I've also grown up and live in a place that doesn't have all seasons, so I'd love to experience winter (snow) someday!

Miso soup with cabbage, rice, etc.

I like to collect shells. <3

(I really need to drink more water) chai tea lattes, milk tea boba, glass bottle rootbeer. Cocktails: elderflower gin & tonic, blended margaritas, minty mojitos.

I haven't listened to the whole album but I am pleasantly surprised to say I love Harry Style's newest album, "Harry's House." I was never a one direction/harry fan but this album is amazing.

I listened to a lot of Remi Wolf last year. Like, all her songs.

I also love Phoebe Bridgers' cover of Bo Burnham's, "That Funny Feeling."

How many grades are in tea?

In contrast, you can see, smell, and sometimes even hold the leaves that create the flavor you love when you drink loose tea. Indulging in a ritual that has enthralled civilizations for millennia can be made more meaningful with just a little research.

GRADES OF TEA

DARK BREW

During the production of black tea, the newly picked Camellia sinensis leaves go through withering, rolling, and drying. Various flavors and aromas can develop when the leaf is subjected to oxygen. A wide variety of flavors and aromas can be found in black teas. 

Due to its strength, black tea pairs well with sweeteners, honey, lemon, heavy cream, and milk. Caffeine levels in black teas are higher than in green or white teas, although they are still lower than in a cup of coffee. Our black tea comes from China, India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, some of the world's most critical tea-growing locations.

TA CHAI

India is the birthplace of Chai, a particular flavored tea drink. Authentic Chai is made by steeping strong black tea with various aromatic Indian spices like black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, and more. Caffeine levels in Chai are comparable to those in black tea.

DRINK SOME GREEN TEA

Green tea, thanks to its unique preparation, retains its natural freshness and flavors of young grass and other vegetables. Before the leaves of green tea are cured or oxidized, they are picked, wilted, rolled, and dried. The caffeine content in green tea is the lowest of any honest tea (Camellia sinensis).

PURE OOLONG TEA

After the new leaves have been picked and withered, they are only slightly oxidized, making Oolong. By drying the leaves quickly before they are fully cured, you can retain the green tea's flavor and aroma while incorporating the black tea qualities that result from the partial curing. Caffeine levels in Oolong tea are intermediate between black and green teas.

BLACK TEA

White tea originates from Camellia sinensis, and is crafted from the plant's youngest, unfolded leaf buds. White tea gets its name from the fine white hairs that cover the tender young leaves and buds. White teas are similar to green teas in that they are both unfermented and deficient in caffeine.

COFFEE ALTERNATIVES & HERBAL TEAS (TISANES)

Teas made from herbs other than Camellia sinensis are called "tisanes," but most people just call them "herbal teas." Herbs can be combined to make dishes taste different or to achieve specific health goals. Herbal teas lack the caffeine in regular tea and typically have more complex flavors than traditional tea. These teas can be stimulating, relaxing, tranquil, or a sensory treat.

TEA QUALITY RANGES

Tea is graded according to the leaf size and variety used to make it. Leaf size is a significant quality indicator, but it is not conclusive.

Conclusion

There are two standard classifications for teas: OP and FOP. The size of the leaves and the percentage of the leaf that is the tip are considered when assigning these grades to whole leaf black teas. Pekoe refers to teas where the leaves and bud are plucked together. 

Orange Pekoe, or OP, is a full-leaf tea that lacks both the bud and the tip. Flowery Orange Pekoe (FOP) is a tea that has a longer leaf than regular OP and contains buds. Tea comes from many different countries, each with its own grading system and vocabulary. In general, the higher the quality of the tea, the more buds it will have and the more entire leaves it will have.
