HMMM. It's been awhile since I started my art journey, but if I had to look back on it- i'd say I mainly wish I went into it with a more positive mind set.

Drawing is for YOU! Drawing is for fun, whatever medium you want to use. It's very important to allow yourself to simply let the flow of creativity take you. Improvement will come naturally!

Art can take a LOT of time, which is why it is so important to have that "fuck it, we ball" mentality with it sometimes. I had a REALLY bad habit of often getting discouraged by internet numbers or comparing my rate of progress to other artists. It is different for everyone! So my main piece of advice is simply to have fun with it.

If you're looking for more technical advice, there are a TON of guides out there made by other artists containing anatomy tips, coloring/blending guides, color theory, and more!!! Searching around and finding which ones feel the most natural for you is very important. I've personally found it useful to gradually incorporate different methods into my own style, perhaps from different games/shows/media, and seeing what feels the best for me to do.

As someone who started off self taught then gradually went into art classes, youtube guides and classes in particular will be your besty.

Also picrew is an amazing resource if you plan on getting into character design!!! It helps get a good image of the character and make many different ideas before you decide to sit down and draw them yourself.

Leo is one of the biggest supporters of the lgbtq community, being a member himself. He was your number one fan since day one and accepted you for who you are.

He feels bitterly when others make fun of you or call you names because of who you are. In order to make you feel better he asked April and Casey to make some t-shirts with the words: 🦋Trans Rights🦋 written on them for him, his friends and his brothers to wear!

Donatello:

Everyone knows Don fights for equal rights, everyone deserves to live their life the way they want. Age, race, skin color, sexuality, gender etc. don't matter when it comes to true happiness.

He gets really upset when others try to hurt you for being yourself. To make you feel better he got Mickey to make him a t-shirt saying: 🍒I love my trans partner 🍒 He literally wore it all day inside the lair and outside making you blush like crazy.

Raphael:

Raph has the same beliefs as Don in this field. Everyone deserves to be themselves. He is also part of the lgbtq community himself, something his brothers discovered one day by accident.

He gets furious when people call you names and judge you for who you are. He decides to invite you over to the lair organizing a small party (with Mickey's help of course) in order to celebrate who you truly are. Such an amazing night! You haven't felt happier than this before.

Michelangelo:

Mickey has been your biggest supporter because he understands how it feels being on the outside.

His heart breaks a little every time he sees you sad because he feels the same way. He asked April to help him with his "creative" idea. He hid a card inside your favorite book expressing to you how special you are and how much he admires you. No one has ever said words like those to you before!

since steve is actually falling for you he obviously can’t just move on! he’s so so touchy and sweet to your during graduation and Jenny catches on and throws a fucking fit!!! 🥸 after this you feel so bad so stop talking to jenny and steve. everyone goes home for the summer and tries to move on, but jenny can’t get over how heartbroken and sad steve has been and she also secretly misses you 🫠 she decides to call you up and asks to meet so you agree even though you’re so embarrassed and ashamed. you guys end up making up and jenny is like “this is so fucking weird but do you actually LIKE and CARE for my dad?!?” and you can’t help but get teary eyed and just nod thinking she’s going to blow up on you again, but to EVERYONES surprise she’s like “my dad has always put me first and has never really focused on himself and I just can’t believe I’m saying this but I’ve never seen him so happy” (redemption for the jenny hate club LMAO)

I am wondering if you are aware about codependency. The excessive emotional reliance on a partner, typically one who requires support.

I became codependent to my now ex boyfriend . He is a drug addict , that's why . We've been together for 3 years . I broke up with him a few months ago but i still cant let go . It's not easy for me to let go of people in my life generally . I feel like i " abadon " them ( if that helps ) .

He has narcissistic personality traits and I've read that both codependents and narcissists have abandonment fears . I cant bear to hurt him in any way and I cant let go no matter how harmful it gets for me. I try not to meet with him but I constantly chat with him or talk on the phone with him . If i dont answer ( probably because im sleeping ) , he insults me , threatens me and abuses me in different ways .

The first step is to acknowledge there's a problem . So I did ! I dont know what the next step is and mostly I dont know how to finally and completely let go .

Hello, yes...I am well aware of what codependency is. I gotta correct you on something tho, people with narcissistic personality traits, don't fear the abandonment the same way people with codependent personality traits do.

The first type of people fear abandonment because they loose A person who fills up their ego. The second type of people fear abandonment of THE person they love because they think either that they're not worthy of love from anyone and THAT person is the only one who could ever love them, or they.

See the subtle difference? To you he might be the only one, to them you're just one of those who can provide source of self gratification/sense of power etc.

So, the second step is giving yourself the worth you deserve, not the one he told you that you have. It's not your job to fix him (or anyone), you're not abandoning him, you're choosing something that doesn't hurt you. And you have the right to do so.

Also I'm sorry to let you know but EVERYTHING you'll ever do in your life will hurt someone, including YOU. Take what you need from this...

I know it's not for everyone to cut people bluntly out of their life. I'm not going to tell you what's best for you, you're the only one who knows that.

So if you want to keep hearing from him at least do it at your terms, with some healthy boundaries you decide the amount of:

psychological resources (example: "i don't have the resources to face this conversation right now")

time (example: "I'm busy until 6pm"/ you talk to him from 7pm to 8pm/ do not reply on Sunday)

info about your life

you want to share with him...and you're

ESPECIALLY

allowed to choose the tone of the conversation you're having. You are allowed to stop responding, block him, tell him that you're not going to respond if he's abusing you in any way.

You might be there to listen, but you're not there to tolerate disrespect nor to fix his shit ✨

Good luck with your second step and all of the steps you're going to do after that one. You did great with recognizing the problem, don't be afraid of people being mad at you. And don't be afraid to deal with your own frustration of people being mad at you!

Remember that people can get mad over stupid things like...the color of a dress (if you get the reference we're bff now). "Tolerance for frustration" when others upset you... is something we learn as kids, if you or other people did not attend that class, it's time to sign up for an evening course.

Dash is a freak for classic rock and punk music, he has a huge collection of old records and cds that he loves to tell people about. If I had to pick, I'd say that Callum has the worst music taste, they probably think that temporary secretary is "actually really good if you give it a chance"

4. Which oc can cook? what’s their favorite thing to cook?

OHHHHH kisses you thank you for asking me this. I think the most competent of my ocs when it comes to the kitchen is Dakota, who has a habit of making big meals and sharing them with everyone, his favorite thing to cook would be any sort of breakfast item, especially eggs and pancakes.

Zakia has experience with hunting and gathering her own food, she has quite a bit of experience when it comes to cooking fish, and she has her own little garden at the house.

Nona is a big fan of baking. If you run into a loaf of bread or a plate of cookies, they were likely made by her. If you try one, be sure to give her a thoroughly descriptive review, because she can't eat them.

7. Which oc has the most cohesive color pallet? the craziest color pallet?

Karaya's color pallet hasn't changed since I created her. Same with Dakota. I think Zakia's mixture of blue skin with her orange scarf and red sweater are pretty crazy.

Dash and Karaya are very good at holding their alcohol.

Dakota for sure, he may be neurotic, but he really thinks of everything.

Zakia would be a fan of abstract expressionism. I'd like her relationship with art to be more emphasized in the story if I can help it.

Dakota could totally do a podcast on robotics. Talking about his experience with being a butch lesbian in STEM. It would reach an incredibly niche audience.

"Hey Zuko! You got a minute?"

Zuko froze, a leftover instinct from the days when his mere presence was enough to send Katara into paroxysms of rage. She wasn't angry now, though. He turned to find her approaching him with a warm smile on her face. The one reserved from those favored to be called her friends.

"S-sure, I have a moment," he said. "What's up?"

"It's about Aang's training," Katara replied. "I was just talking with Toph, and she thought it'd be a good idea if we..."

Katara's hair was pulled back into a hasty braid. Zuko hadn't seen her hair up since he joined the group. He hadn't noticed before, but Katara had a lovely neck. Uncle would have called it regal and Zuko would have agreed. She held her head high, and made a point to make eye contact with everyone she spoke to. Zuko wasn't used to that. Being both royalty and a national disgrace, few people were brave enough or benevolent enough to meet his eye. Katara did it without hesitation or revulsion.

"So I was thinking we figure out and then tell him later tonight or tomorrow." Katara paused, her expression turning expectant.

"Oh, yeah," Zuko hurried to reply, not knowing what he'd just agreed to. "Absolutely, that sounds like a great idea." It must have been the right answer, because Katara smiled at him.

"Great!" she said. "So, I was thinking we could start with one on one, and then work up to different defensive techniques..."

She had such lovely eyes. It took all of Zuko's considerable self control to keep from reacting to that thought. It was true, though, he conceded. It wasn't just the color, although that was certainly part of her charm. Katara's warmth and friendliness would make her eyes remarkable, no matter the color or shape. The color did remind Zuko of her element. Water. Lakes. Oceans. Katara's eyes made Zuko feel like swimming. And there was a depth to them that made the prospect seem possible.

"I don't want to over do it," Katara was saying. "But Toph insists that I'm being way too soft on Aang. You've been training him for a few weeks now. What do you think?" Zuko panicked for a moment, realizing that Katara wanted an answer again. He replayed her last sentence and scrambled for a response.

"Aang is gifted, but he doesn't apply himself," Zuko said. Katara's brow furrowed. Zuko held his breath.

"That's what Toph thinks, too." Katara nodded at last. Inwardly, Zuko heaved a sigh of relief.

"It's not that unusual for someone his age," Zuko offered. "It's just that we don't have time to wait for him to get himself past that point."

"I know," Katara sighed and shook her head. "I'm hoping this will push him to try harder. Or be more creative. I don't know what exactly it is he's missing. He's technically mastered waterbending. At least, I don't have anything specific left to teach him. What do you think?"

Zuko was ready this time. He had focused on what she was saying, and not on the light dusting of freckles across the bridge of her nose that looked like a constellation. He had a pertinent response to her, and even a suggestion.

"We should combine a training session," he said. "Facing more than one element at a time will help Aang learn how to think on his feet, and... What is it?" Katara's brow was furrowed again, this time in a mix of exasperation, annoyance and confusion.

"Were you listening to me?" she asked. "I just said Toph had that idea."

It was such a hard decision deciding who would be the one who got distracted. The argument could be made for either of them, but I ultimately settled on Zuko. He canonically gets caught up in his own head. Katara is far likelier to hyper-focus on what he was saying, both because it's her nature to give people approaching her for something her full attention when she can, and also because I think if she's attracted so someone, she would hang on his every word.
