shouto has not stopped talking about his new nephew for an hour and fifty seven minutes.
you can't blame him, really, for not being able to stop rambling since he got home—you saw the photos he snapped on his phone, the sweet little boy is borderline cherubic. and it's his first nephew, after all, with touya being the first of the todoroki siblings to have any children. there's added novelty to this new arrival. the fact that the baby is so cute is just a serendipitous bonus.
"...and then he fell asleep right in my arms." shouto rinses his toothbrush under the stream of water flowing from the tap in your shared bathroom. half the story he'd just told had been lost to the froth of toothpaste in his mouth, talking around the toothbrush as he cleaned his teeth before bed, but he'd already told you this part of the story three times—so thankfully you didn't miss anything.
you smile as shouto wipes at the corner of his mouth with a towel hanging from the rail on one side of the bathroom, watching his reflection in the mirror. his eyes flicker up to meet yours in the surface of the glass, and he sees the mirthful twist at the corner of your mouth.
he turns to you in the narrow bathroom just off your bedroom and approaches you slowly, his arms winding around your waist as he tucks his face into the crook of your neck. he's in his pajamas now, ready for bed, and without lifting his head or stepping away from you, he begins shuffling the two of you out the door towards your waiting bed in the next room. you can't help but giggle as you go, reaching up and wrapping your arms around his neck for balance, allowing him to guide you wherever he sees fit.
shouto leans you back gently once the back of your knees hit the edge of your mattress, crawling overtop of you to get to his side of the bed and then pulling you into his chest once more as he tugs the blankets up around you both.
"sounds like you had a lot of fun today," you remark quietly as you settle into bed, your fingers tracing idle patterns into the flat plane of shouto's sternum.
"i didn't expect him to be so small," shouto replies. "or to smell so good."
you want to laugh at his sincere tone of surprise, but hold it back.
"i hope i get to meet him soon, too," you say.
"touya says you're welcome any time," shouto insists. "he said i'm only welcome some of the time, though."
that really does make you laugh, because you can practically hear the eldest todoroki son's voice saying the words.
it's quiet for a while as you and shouto lay in bed, tangled up together.
"he's gonna make me the godfather," shouto finally says after a while—so softly you almost miss it. the remark, and the tenderness in his voice, makes something in your chest squeeze tight.
"that's so nice, sho," you answer.
"that means if anything ever happens to touya, we get the baby."
'we' he says—not i—like he doesn't for a second picture any future (even one where his beloved older brother has met some untimely demise) without you in it.
"don't wish anything ill on him just because you want to steal his cute baby," you tease him, lifting your head up and resting your chin against his chest so you can watch his face. he looks pensive, like he's really mulling over your words, and it makes you want to laugh again.
"but it would be nice, i think," shouto finally speaks again after his careful contemplation. "having the baby here with us."
heat floods up fast to your cheeks, and you glance away unconsciously. you're sure shouto has no idea what he's just said—still a little giddy from how smitten he is with his new nephew. but it still makes your mind go to places it shouldn't.
"no baby stealing," you reiterate firmly. flopping down again to go to sleep—if for no other reason than you suddenly find it hard to meet his gaze.
shouto sighs a little, but the sound is resigned like he's reluctantly agreeing to your terms. he eases you over onto your side so he can curl up behind you underneath the cover of your quilt, his strong arm looping over your waist.
the heat of shouto's breath hits the shell of your ear as his face rests on the pillow behind you, and you can still smell the spearmint from his toothpaste. his warmth seeps into you as he presses into your back. you close your eyes and luxuriate in the familiarity of it.
"we could have our own, you know," shouto's voice is much nearer to you than you expect it to be when he speaks again, his lips brushing against the back of your ear softly as they shape his words. his hand slips up underneath the t-shirt you wore to bed—the tips of his fingers feel scorching as they ghost across your skin. "and i bet our baby would be even cuter than touya's—no stealing required."

Shouto looks worn as he toes off his boots in the genkan.
It's not the first time your boyfriend has come home looking tired, and it's thankfully nothing like the bone-deep exhaustion that always pulls at him after a truly harrowing shift. But it's very clear Shouto has stretched himself today, judging by the slightly slower, more ginger way he's carrying himself.
Drawing closer, you can see dirt and ash scraped over his high cheekbones, and that much confirms your suspicions. Definitely a tough take down today, if he's looking this beat up.
"Hi Sho," you say, hurrying over to throw your arms around him, relieved to have him back in your hands. It's a little easier with the height the genkan step gives you, putting his broad shoulders in easier reach. "Tough day today?"
Shouto's arms come around you as he presses his face into your shoulder, breathing in deeply. He's cold, the chill from outside still lingering on his clothes, on his skin. He smells like ash and sweat.
"Hello, love," he says, his voice a low rumble you can feel against you. "It was... difficult."
You grip him tighter, holding him to you. "I'm glad you're safe."
His mouth is warm on the skin of your neck. "I am glad to come home to you."
A smile pulls at your mouth as you pet through his hair. It's soft and silky, but a little piecey—the after effect of having used phosphor, you know. You spend a couple moments absently running your fingers through the strands, clinging to as much of his shoulder as you can reach, reveling in the feeling of him back in your embrace, home safe where you like him best.
Shouto lets you hold him, face still pressed into the crook of your neck, the line of tension in his shoulders unwinding. His breath tickles your skin, slow and even. You cling just a little bit more tightly.
"Let's get some soup in you and get you in the shower, huh?" you say after you've stood like that for some minutes, your voice a little startling in the quiet of your apartment. You lightly tug on a hunk of his hair, inquiring.
Shouto doesn't move, just huffs softly into your shoulder.
You can't help but grin again, charmed by him as always, shifting so you can clutch his face in your hands and pull him up for a kiss instead. This time Shouto goes easily, his mouth following yours, his kiss soft and sweet and slow.
Shouto takes his time with you, so you do too, pouring your relief and your happiness to see him again into the kiss. His hands tighten on your back like he understands, hitching you up against him a bit more firmly.
"Soup time," you tell him when he finally lets your mouth go. Those heterochromatic eyes flutter open, and he frowns a little bit, leaning back in.
You smile into another kiss, laughing when his hands creep down your sides, charting a path to your thighs where you know he intends to pick you up once he's got you. Any other day and you'd let him take you against the wall right there in the genkan. But he's moving so slow you know it will be a struggle for him today, and you don't want him to strain himself any more than he already has.
There are other ways you can show your affection, today.
You quickly worm out of his embrace, dodging when he reaches out a long-fingered hand for you, frowning again. Fuck, he's so cute.
"Soup first," you order him, marching him into the kitchen.
A tiny pout purses his mouth but you're not to be deterred—you set him up at the table with a hot bowl of soup and several of last night's leftover sides; blanched spinach ohitashi and simmered squash. You plop an extra bowl of chicken and cucumber marinade directly in front of his soup as well—knowing full well he'll need the extra protein after a day like today.
As you hoped, the food quickly overtakes your boyfriend's focus. In your experience pro heroes need to intake an insane amount of calories, and even more on days they've utilized their quirks to the extreme. Shouto is no exception, his temperature quirk one of the most voracious energy burners of all, and very quickly the bowls in front of him begin to empty.
He looks even more exhausted when he finishes, and you wolf down your own bowl of soup, cutting him off as he attempts to clear the table.
"Go shower," you tell him, leaning down for a kiss even as you yank a bowl out of his long, elegant fingers.
Shouto looks up at you again, a microscopic downturn to his mouth that would be unreadable on anyone else, but on him counts as a pout. "You said after soup—"
"I'll join you when I'm done," you promise, your heart swelling with affection. It always pleases you that time with you seem to be his priority, even when he's clearly tired like this.
You laugh when this works like a charm, Shouto leaning in for another kiss before obeying. You hear the shower gutter and hiss on as you scrub the bowls in the sink, laying everything out to dry on the counter.
The bathroom is already hot and thick with steam when you let yourself in, and the mirror fogging. Shouto's left the curtain askew and your mouth dries out a little at the peeks of his body you can see—all that lean, sleek muscle glinting wetly in the light.
You step out of your clothes and slide in behind him, throwing an arm around his waist. His shoulders look especially broad in the small stall of your shower, taking up nearly the entire width, and you lean up to kiss in between them, letting your mouth linger.
"Hello, love," Shouto says, trying to turn to look at you. You hold him in place with your grip on his trim waist, reaching up to run a hand through the wet strands of his hair.
"Let me take care of you tonight," you say, pouring your insistence into your tone.
There's not much you can do to help Shouto with a job like pro heroics, particularly without a quirk of your own. But what you can do, what you like to do, is be there for him in the little ways—feeding him soup, washing his hair, taking the reigns when he's tired like this.
The contraction of Shouto's abdomen under your fingers as he sucks in a breath tells you he's understood your meaning. He shifts in your arms to face you, ducking in for a hard, wet kiss. Hot water spatters over your shoulder as he does so, pooling in the places where his skin meets yours.
You let him kiss you, slow and careful. Then you reach past him to uncap his shampoo, and rake it carefully through the strands of his hair, as Shouto obligingly keeps his head bent for you. You admire the way his long eyelashes flutter against his high cheekbones, the way his lovely mouth looks so soft and relaxed like this.
You take your time, moving slowly and carefully, before reaching for his conditioner. You slowly massage that in too, blinking against the water on your face when Shouto pulls you closer to him, pressing his face into your shoulder and huffing out another relaxed breath.
He could be asleep standing up by the time you move onto his his body wash, but he shivers as you run your hands over him. You love the feeling of him in your hands, all that slick, tight, dense muscle under your fingers.
He's so beautiful, so divinely-crafted. Sometimes you cannot believe Todoroki Shouto is yours to love and to care for.
His breath comes a little faster when your hands slide down his trim waist, as you work the suds into the V of his hips. "Love," he says, his voice low, rumbling.
"Turn around," you tell him, gently reaching up to move him as you do so.
You let your hands slide back in place, and then let them slip lower, taking Shouto into your hand. He's velvet soft in your fingers, but obligingly hard, thick and full—and even though you can't see him, you know just how pretty he looks in your palm. You press a kiss to his shoulder blade as he shudders, a powerful arm coming up to prop himself up against the shower wall.
You work him slowly at first, just as carefully as you'd pulled the shampoo through his hair. The flex of his abs against the palm of your other hand is transfixing, the shine and glint of the light over his muscles as he shifts in your fingers hypnotizing. Both of you linger in the moment, letting it stretch out long and hot and sweet, thick and slow like honey.
Shouto lets out a low groan when you thumb over the head of his cock, the arm he has pressed to the wall tensing. You do it again, reveling in the flex of his bicep, the roll of a powerful shoulder.
Shouto is the only person on earth as beautiful on the outside as he is on the inside, and you drink it all in, the sight of him, the beautiful sound of him as he utters your name, low and smooth and thick with feeling.
You keep pumping him like that, exactly how you know he likes, until he strains in your hands, that trim waist flexing as he can't help but rut into your grip.
One of your arms clutches him tighter against you as work him faster, and he lets out a soft moan, his fingers curling into a fist on the shower wall. It's only a minute or so more before he's arching into your hand, his hips bucking.
You tighten your fingers, thumbing over his head again, and that's all it takes. Shouto groans your name into the hiss of the shower spray, and comes all over your palm, every muscle in his body straining forwards.
He's so beautiful as he comes apart in your hands. His chest is heaving when you finally stop, and he shifts in your arms again, ducking his head to press an exhausted, satisfied kiss to your mouth.
"Thank you, love," he intones, those heterochromatic eyes settling on you, dark with pleasure. Pink stains his high cheekbones and the bridge of his nose, and he looks flush with effort, exactly the way he does after he takes you apart in bed most nights.
You grin up at him, leaning up on your toes to press another kiss to his mouth. "I love you, Sho."
He murmurs his reply into your mouth, and you run your hands over him again, pulling through his wet locks.
"Now let's get you into bed," you tell him bossily, reaching past him to turn off the shower spray.
"What about you, love?" he asks, a little frown marring his perfect mouth. You kiss it off of him, then tug him out of the shower and wrap him in a fluffy towel, scrubbing it over his hair.
You'll get back in to take your own shower properly in the morning, you know, and once Shouto has slept things off, he will be eager to return the favor. For now though, you tell him you are satisfied just to be with him, to be near him, to take care of him.
You tell him you love him again, and pull him into bed, still damp and sweet and pliant with his release. You're satisfied as he melts into sleep, his exhaustion winning out.
Truthfully, there is nothing more you want in this life, you think, as you follow after him, slipping into slumber too. You want him like this always, relaxed in your embrace—home, safe, yours.

shouto wakes up trapped underneath a collapsed building, only to find himself also trapped in your embrace.
warnings: both Shouto and reader are hurt pretty badly </3, blood, immediate threat of death lol?, description of a broken leg, mention of vomiting but it doesn’t happen and isn’t explicitly stated, this is cheesy and unedited
border by @cafekitsune :)
dedicated to andie if they happen to see it because I thought of them while writing my very first Shouto fic 💘
Tumblr media
Whenever Shouto awakes, it’s to a pounding headache, intense pain throbbing along the right side of his body, flickering lights, and something soft holding him tightly.
Groggily, he opens his eyes, wincing as the flickering light blinds him for a second. There’s a steady drip drip drip of water falling onto concrete though it’s too dark to make out much of his surroundings as the light flickers off again. The last thing he remembers is coming to an office building, where a villain with an unknown quirk was holding people hostage. A teary sounding gasp makes him look upwards weakly, only now noticing he is laying down.
He sees your face for the first time then. Eyes puffy and red from crying, with a trail of blood dripping from your hairline and down your nose, past your lips to where it becomes smeared as you wipe it away hurriedly.
“You’re awake!”
Your voice is soft, and slightly trembling as you gaze at him with wide, wavering eyes. They’re very pretty, he thinks dazedly. Framed by wet lashes, he also thinks he could look into them forever. Shouto moves to shift only to have his vision flash as pain erupts like molten lava traveling down his side.
“D-don’t try to move! A beam fell on you before you passed out. You were barely able to get out from under it.”
Feeling woozy, Shouto has to close his eyes for a moment to keep the pain from escaping through his mouth. There’s a sickening crack, and he realizes he’s cradled in your arms whenever you whimper and pull him closer, so that his head is resting against your chest and you’re basically hovering over him. He hears rubble begin to hit to ground, and sees you flinch as some small bits of gravel bounce off your head and fall beside him. Your eyes are clenched shut, and a fresh line of blood runs down your face and drips onto his own. No rubble ever hits him.
He’s confused. Why is a civilian, a hurt one at that, putting their life at risk for a pro hero? He’s supposed to be protecting you, yet here you are shielding him with your soft body. He must make a noise, because suddenly you’re looking down at him again, eyes wide with concern, bravely holding back tears now that he is awake.
Softly, you move one of the hands you had cradling his head to wipe at the blood that has dripped onto his cheek. Apologizing quietly, you begin talking again, the almost whispers coming out of your mouth seemingly echoing through the space.
“Your walkie talkie still worked thankfully, for a little while. Deku is here, and so is Red Riot and Uravity. They should have us out of here in no time, so don’t worry ok! Dynamight is also here, but that’s more worrying than anything honestly.”
Shouto can’t help but laugh at your candor, wincing as it makes the pain throbbing through his body flash intensely. You pull him even closer in your lap, now petting his bangs soothingly. Your fingers are soft on his sweaty skin, and he almost purrs whenever you begin to trace the lines of his face in a mesmerizing manner. He doesn’t remember the last time he was comforted like this when he was hurt. Usually it’s himself alone in his untouched apartment, picking up the pieces and taping them back together. He can never quite get them to fit right.
“Are you hurt badly?” His gravely voice seems to surprise you, and quickly you shake your head. He sees you regret it instantly, as you wince harshly afterwards.
“Just my head, and my leg. But not nearly as bad as you are.”
Another crack shoots through the space, and you look up worryingly at the unsteady beams ominously hanging about you. Shouto can see them looming when the light flickers on again. He can also see you. You look a little rough, he’s not going to lie. But at this moment, he doesn’t think he’s seen anyone more beautiful. His own personal angel, sent to comfort him and protect him when he’s been hurt so badly he can’t move.
You make quiet conversation after that, trying to ignore the drips and the cracks. He learns that you’re an ordinary boring office worker, your words not his, but you like your job and your coworkers so it’s not that bad. You learn that Deku has been his best friend since their first year at U.A., and that friendship is still just as strong. He learns that you don’t particularly care for cold soba whenever he brings it up, which makes him look at you in mock horror. It’s funny, seeing the normally stoic hero make such an exaggerated face that you can’t help but giggle.
The conversation dies down after a sickening pop! is heard and suddenly sunlight blinds you both. Looking up, you see shocking red hair and sharp teeth grinning at you and feel relief course through your body. Shouto feels your body relax against his, though you don’t let go. Red Riot reaches for you, but you shake your head again.
“Take Shouto, take Shouto.”
As he is lifted from your arms and into his friends, he sees you smile at him tearfully and give him a little wave. He can see you fully now, and can also see how your leg is bent at such an unnatural angle it had to be agonizing for you, but he never once heard you complain. The last thing he sees before you’re out of sight is Bakugo lifting you into his arms, with a surprising gentleness, saying something that has you nodding before you rest your head on his bare shoulder, relieved tears flooding from your eyes.
A couple days later, as Shouto is scrolling aimlessly through his phone in his hospital bed, he sees a headline that makes him stop.
PRO HERO SHOUTO KEEPS CIVILIAN SAFE WHILE TRAPPED UNDER COLLAPSED BUILDING!
Thinking of your eyes, which so bravely stared into his own, he can’t help but disagree with the article. It was you who kept him safe.

dabihawks post war drabble ~
Healing quirks and mordern medicin can work so many wonders.
With time so much of Touya’s body heals. His skin, his nerves, his eyes, his lungs.
But not his voice.
At first they suspect it’s a trauma response, which wouldn’t be unheard of considering what he went trough, but after a while it became clear that it wasn’t that he didn’t want to, he simply… couldn’t.
His vocal cords were fried beyond anything the doctors had seen before, and somehow nothing seemed to help.
Not that he was particularly interested in talking to anyone at first, either.
For once in his life he was okay with being the one to listen. It’s easier not having to think of responses to all of his family’s emotional talks like this.
After a while, Shouto finally convince him to start learning to sign with his hands, but only if he promises to keep it a secret until he’s got the hang of it.
He’s not ready to let anyone else see him fumble yet.
It takes a long time, and lots of Touya tossing the cards on the ground while pouting and huffing while Shouto patiently picks them up again, but in the end he finally got it.
He didn’t love using it, mostly because of some issues with his hands, but it was nice to have the option, and it had proved to be a great bonding experience with that strange little brother of his.
It takes a while for him to run into Hawks again after everything, but when he does, Touya finds himself truly missing his voice for the first time since he woke up.
There so much he wants to say, to yell, to ask, and yet, all he can do is stare.
They’re in a coffee shop, off all places, and there’s a like behind them, and Touya just points at a table like a stupid person, but thankfully Hawks gets it.
When they sit down Touya finds a napkin to quickly give Hawks an idea of why he’s not talking, and Hawks has the decency to look… relived?
Okay, to be fair, Touya kinda gets it, but damn.
No manners on that bird.
After a few moments of silence, Hawks finally starts talking.
He hasn’t been doing as much of it as he used to either, after the war. He wouldn’t know where to turn, who to share the things he’s been grappling with.
But here, now, sitting opposite this person that’s meant so many different things to him, it’s like all of it just… flows.
Even if Hawks is the only one using his voice, the conversation is not a one-sided one.
Hawks was always good a t reading people, and Touya is more than expressive enough for them to be able to have a full conversation like this.
It’s strangly natural for both of them, for such an unnatural situation.
And so it goes, for a while.
They meet up, always at a neutral location, never at either of theirs homes, and they learn to know each other, and themselves, all over again.
Hawks doesn’t tell Touya, but he’s getting secret sign language lessions from Shouto, and it’s going really well.
Having the «what intentions do you have with my brother» talk with a 17 year old, but Hawks presevers.
He sits on the knowledge for a while, it’s not like they’re having much communication issues as is, but it’s hard not to show off his new skills.
But the waiting is worth it when he gets to see the look on Touya’s face when he finally gets to use it to sign the simple sentence he’s been perfecting for weeks now.
Touya finally let Hawks walk him back to his apartment that night, and they’re about to go their separate ways when Hawks gently grabs his wrist and takes a deep breat before he signs;
«Can I kiss you?»
He barley gets to finish showing off before Touya grabs the collar of his coat and kisses him, but he tries not to be salty about that, which is a lot easier when he’s finally kissing the man that’s been haunting his heart for so long.
Finally.

Chapter 16 - Fight!
Summary: Y/N fights Midoriya and Shouto in front of an audience. Is she able to win against the two top heroes and go back to being a hero? We shall see.
Feat. Present Mic and Aizawa!
Warnings: Swear words, Katsuki makes a few horny comments here and there, mentions of Shouto’s PTSD, one broken rib. Or two. Or three.
First Chapter Master List
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
“Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between, welcome to the battle of the year!” Present Mic yells into his speaker with utter enthusiasm. Why is Present Mic here? You have no idea, but you can’t wait to get a signature because you freaking love his talk show. “Y/N versus Midoriya and Todoroki! Yeaaaaaah!”
The whole building cheers.
You heard it right. The whole building. It’s a fucking full house.
The whole agency is here except a few who decided to stay behind to keep the business going (Katsuki had to give them a double hourly wage to make them stay at work, by the way.), which doesn’t surprise you as Katsuki’s team is quite known for being overly enthusiastic when it comes to mock battles and hero stuff, then there’s Mina, Kaminari, and a shit load of people from the wedding, possibly Katsuki’s old classmates and friends, all sitting in one corner and cheering for both teams which doesn’t make any fucking sense, but okay. Next to the famous Present Mic there is a grouchy black haired man with a massive white scarf thingy around his neck; he has a camera by this left side and a notebook on his lap.
“Why. Just why.” The man mutters under his nose; thankfully you are amazing at lip reading, so you don’t actually need to hear him to know what’s up. His face is contorted into a frown as he stares at the blond with nothing but pure judgment.
“Oh come on, sensei! Have some fun!” The guy snickers but “sensei” only rolls his eyes at that.
“I’m here to take notes and to film the fight for Midoriya for analytical purposes. I’m not here to have fun.”
“We are here to have fun, let’s go, Mic sensei wooohooo!” Kaminari yells and the whole audience cheers at that.
Dang. You’ve never had a stage fright before. Needless to say, now you do.
“Deku, what the actual fuck, do you want to die, you idiot?! This is not what we’ve discussed!” Katsuki clearly felt the nervous vibes coming from you and is absolutely fucking livid right now.
“Kacchan, I swear it wasn’t me. I only asked Aizawa-sensei! No one else!”
“Why is Auntie Inko hiding behind the pillar then?!” Katsuki tries his best to look less aggravated as he waves to the shy, green haired woman with a forced smile on his face. Midoriya then stares at his Kacchan with nothing but gratefulness, tears prickling his eyes from seeing his childhood rival being nice to his one and only mother he loves so much.
“Mum doesn’t count, does she? She’s family.” Deku mutters, ready to have his face blasted off.
“Do you see my shitty family here, Deku?! Huh?!” Kacchan yells at the poor guy; Midoriya points right where his mum is with a barely concealed smile.
“Yeah, they are right behind my mum.”
“The fuck?!”
Katsuki is having a brain fart moment. He’s so fucking confused it’s kinda hilarious.
“It’s my fault, Katsuki.” Kirishima comes over with guilt deeply etched into his face. “I accidentally told Denki about it and then… well, you know him. I’m sorry.”
“Fucking hell.”
“My family isn’t here.” Todoroki adds. The guy didn’t make a single noise until now so you kinda forgot he’s also here.
“Shouto, you are not helping, but thank you for trying.” Izuku, who’s clearly used to Todoroki’s miserable attempts to save the day, leaves a tiny kiss on his boyfriend’s cheek.
“10 minutes until show time, are you guys ready?!” Present Mic’s voice comes through the speaker again as the light around the outer edges of the building dramatically go down.
“If you hurt her, I’ll fucking kill you, you fucking overpowered energizer bunny.” Katsuki grabs the green head’s shirt by the neck and pulls him closer with a sneer. “One fucking bruise and…”
“Kacchan… I respect you but I’m here to win. You wouldn’t want me to go easy on her, would you?”
Katsuki only contemplates for a few seconds, the tips of his ears coated pink as he lets go of the poor guy, completely defeated.
“I can cauterize wounds if things get out of hand.”
You’ve never seen Katsuki so terrified in your whole life. His face is pale like a sheet and he looks five seconds away from throwing up all over the floor.
“Nope. We are not doing this. We are going home. Nope. Fuck this.” Katsuki is about to pull you towards the exit but Izuku jumps between the two of you.
“Shouto, you were doing so well...” Midoriya sighs and puts his hand on your shoulder. “Y/N, Katsuki. I swear I won’t do any serious harm to your girlfriend. I also think she can protect herself and she’ll be able to keep up with us with no problems. Please, sit down and enjoy the show.” Midoriya pushes you to the side slowly, but Katsuki’s grasp on your hand is relentless.
“Come on, bro! I heard Auntie Inko brought you some muffins!” Kirishima chimes in, pulling him towards the seats, his hands massaging the blond’s shoulders. “Come on now!”
“Just one minute and I’m going.” Katsuki tears himself out of Kirishima’s grasp. Todoroki and Midoriya make their way towards the other end of the battlefield while Kirishima takes a few steps back to give you some privacy. “Kick their asses, baby. I fucking… I fucking believe in you. I love you and shit. Fuck.”
The whole audience gawks as Katsuki snuggles into the crook of your neck like a little kitten looking for attention. You rake your fingers through his messy hair out of habit, playing with the strands and leaving tiny kisses on the top of his head until he finally looks up and lets you kiss him properly, right in front of the whole fucking building.
“Oh my god! What a day to be alive! Bakugou Katsuki aka Lord Explosion Murder God Dynamight just got a kiss from the mysterious hero! You go, lover boy, good for you!”
“That’s his girlfriend!” Kaminari yells into the air helpfully. “He’s in love, sensei!”
“Oh my god, dear listeners! The beast has been tamed! I’m so proud!”
“Shut the fuck up.” Katsuki mutters into your neck, his whole face probably the color of a ripe tomato.
“He said shut the fuck up!” You yell to the interpreter with a shit eating grin on your face.
“Ahh, well, there is a lot of things I can do but that ain’t one of ‘em!” Mic giggles and the whole audience roars.
“That’s true.” Sensei mutters with a nod and Mic makes an offended face at that.
“Five minutes to go. Are we are ready, dear listeners?!” Present Mic yells again and the audience cheers. Loudly. Dang, they are really fucking excited for this shit.
“Keep your eyes on me, loverboy.” You wink at your boyfriend; he visibly shivers under your confident gaze.
“Couldn’t keep my eyes off you even if I’d try.”
… damn, you two won’t sleep a wink tonight, that’s for sure.
~•💥•~
“Three, two, one… go!”
The two heroes charge at you right away, their movements completely synchronized and clearly planned out; needless to say having two heroes that are so used to each other fight against you should be a huge disadvantage for you but here’s the thing; you can do whatever you want. And by whatever, you mean you can literally just…
“Goldfish.”
Deku’s movements halt right away, his face contorted into a confused frown as he looks at his partner in pure terror.
“Goldfish is a quirk that makes the other person forget what they were about to do a few minutes prior. It’s quite harmless unless used… well… in cases like this. Well done.” The “sensei” steals the speaker from Present Mic who’s completely bamboozled by seeing the number one hero so lost on the battlefield. This would be the perfect time to counterattack but seeing how many people have gathered here today you decide to give them a little show instead; Todoroki comes out of his own stupor and charges towards you while Midoriya slowly tries to put himself back into the present but suddenly, his quirk changes sides in the most literal sense; his right side becomes his hot side while his left side starts to frost over rapidly; having such a change is already quite a pain in the ass but here’s the thing - to be honest this was a bluff but it clearly worked -; while his quirk swapped sides, his body didn’t, hence why his body is now affected by the effects of the quirk.
“Fuck!” Shouto yells as the flames start to burn his heat-sensitive skin…
“Y/N, stop! Anything but that. Please.” Izuku begs and he looks so horrified you cancel the quirk right away. There is something in his eyes, something painful and deep and you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see that you somehow managed to touch a sensitive topic here. You look at Katsuki who’s standing by the side of the battlefield; he looks at his friend apologetically, his eyes somehow regretful.
“This is good practice.” Shouto’s sudden grin surprises the whole audience. “Sometimes, you need to face your biggest fears and if this would be a real fight, there wouldn’t be a pause. On the battlefield, there is no time to dwell on the past.”
“Is pro hero Shouto giving a speech in the middle of the battle?!” Present Mic screeches. “Also, how many quirks…?”
“All of them. Her quirk is called ‘quirk manifestation’. It’s the strongest quirk in the whole world as she can use several different quirks at the same time for as long as she wants to. Until she can stay focused, she’s unstoppable.” Sensei answers with a deadpanned face.
“Wow, you did your research.” You yell back to him with a grin. Thankfully, the mood is slowly shifting back to relatively normal now.
“I’m Eraserhead. I work underground. Gaining intel is my virtue.” He mutters smugly. “But for this intel I must thank my former student, Midoriya. His notes on you were quite… detailed.”
“Quirk me again.” Shouto suddenly yells, completely ignoring his old teacher. Midoriya looks at the guy like he just lost his mind and by the absolute manic grin on his face, he might be right about that.
Also, can we stop for a moment and talk about the fact that Todoroki Shouto is wearing his emotions on his face? You are a taken woman, but damn, he should do this more often.
“Are we going berserk? Plus fucking ultra then.” Midoriya grins back and by the random eye fucking those two just did a few seconds prior you are quite sure they’ll also have a long night after this.
“Come at me you gay disasters.” You give the two a manic grin and… well… they do.
First, Todoroki somehow finds a way to use his quirk even with the disadvantage. You manage to slip on the tiny, almost invisible ice he manages to sneak under your legs; the ice travels further up, pinning you to the ground but not for long; with your quick thinking you manage to counterattack with pink flames, because why the fuck not, melting the ice on your legs then charge forward towards the half and half hero but you change your stance last minute; you attack Midoriya instead, your emotions concealed with a quirk you just came up with to not trigger his danger sense; he catches your hand with black whip but you make your body intangible and slip out of the grasp; he tries to save himself by using his Smoke Ray but it’s all in vein as your favorite quirk is X-Ray Vision; Midoriya also made a massive mistake with using this quirk of his as he also made it impossible for his partner to see you, basically rendering him useless for the next few minutes until the smoke dissolves.
“I really want to gossip about the sexual tension between the two boys on the battlefield but… what a mistake! Todoroki’s lost in the smoke and Midoriya is just about to get hit by… uuuuh, that must have hurt!”
You just landed a massive hit right at Midoriya’s ribs using a mixture of Kirishima’s hardening and super strength while Todoroki is still wandering in the smoke, trapped and probably extremely frustrated.
Something cracked. Fuck.
“Izuku!” Todoroki finally emerges from the smoke, putting on a massive ice wall right between you two.
“She broke my fucking rib, Shouto.”
Suddenly, a furious Todoroki jumps through the wall, shattering it into pieces as he lands a massive hit on your shoulder and you fall to the ground.
“Midoriya is OUT! Nothing is as strong as a fury of a wounded lover, though! Get her, Todoroki!” Present Mic yells, exhilarated.
Katsuki looks like he’s about to pass out which is quite understandable to be honest. This fight is fucking intense.
“Was that really necessary?!” Todoroki yanks your wounded arm and pushes you down.
What he doesn’t know is that you are not actually in pain anymore; you already healed yourself but he doesn’t need to know that.
“You know I didn’t mean to do that.”
“Ten more seconds and Todoroki wins!”
“What kind of monster are you?!”
“The one on the good side. The one who really fucking wants to go back to work and save people.”
It all happens really quickly. You use a slime quirk to get out of Todoroki’s intense grasp and blast his face using your own version of your boyfriend’s quirk; the pink, cotton candy scented one you used to bully Katsuki with. You make sure to not use too much power this time and mostly just blind the hero for long enough to use your own version of Midoriya’s black whip - it’s quite a useful quirk as it’s heat and frost-resistant, basically indestructible. In only a few seconds, the half and half hero is rolled up like a little burrito, surrounded by black whip everywhere but his face.
“Sorry about triggering your PTSD in the beginning. I’m also sorry for hurting your boyfriend. I’ll heal him as soon as this is over.”
“Ten…”
“It’s fine, it has been ages since I’ve been challenged by someone. Felt fucking nice.” Todoroki tries to wiggle himself out but it’s all in vain. It’s game over for him.
“Five…”
“You guys are amazing. If this would have been an actual life or death situation I’m quite sure you would’ve won.”
“Three.”
“Stop flattering me, you literally took that hit on your shoulder just to be even.”
“One.”
“Anyway… it was a great fight. Thank you.”
“Todoroki is out, Y/N wins! WHAT A FIGHT! Congratulations!” Present Mic yells while the whole audience whistles. Midoriya’s mother is crying so you make a note to yourself to apologize to her later.
Todoroki is by Midoriya’s side the moment he’s free. You are just about to go over to heal him and say sorry when Katsuki jumps on you from behind, turns you over to him and kisses you with so much fervor your legs almost give up under you.
“You fucking madman.” Katsuki grins, his worried eyes long gone in exchange for pure exhilaration. “You don’t know how to hold back, do you?” Suddenly, Katsuki’s lips skim your ears. “Why don’t you go all unhinged in bed with me tonight? I want to see what else you can do…”
“Katsuki, this is not the time.” You reprimand with a little giggle. “I need to take care of your broken friend first.”
“You can take care of my…”
“Oh, shut the fuck up, you horny weirdo.” You put your palm on his face and push him away playfully in the middle of his sentence. The shit eating grin on Katsuki’s face is so fucking adorable you kinda want to kiss him but this is really not time for it.
“Y/N!” Todoroki yells, frustrated. By the look of it, it isn’t just Midoriya’s rib that’s broken but his mind as well; he’s mumbling to himself, still sitting on the floor, avoiding eye contact with anyone in the facility. Needles to say, he’s crying.
“Let me reboot the crybaby.” You grin at the big lump on the floor while most of the audience goes back to work. Katsuki’s friend group and the two senseis are still seated, probably waiting for you guys to wrap up and listen to their feedback.
This will be a long fucking day.
… Next Chapter!
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
Potato ramble:
- I know. This is fucking late. Honestly, I had the busiest two weeks of my whole life and I only had one day off which was the 25th and that was all. I don’t remember the last three days. Like I actually don’t think my soul was in my body. I have no recollection of the days either so yeah, I’m sorry folks who always tell me to chill the fuck out, I definitely did not listen this time. 😂
- Midoriya’s grave mistake and the whole drama around his behavior will be explained in the next chapter. Aizawa will give him a harsh feedback. 😂
- I’m really excited about the last chapter because it will have Steven in it. I fucking love Steven. I will miss him so much.
- The next chapter will be the last official chapter, then there will be one extra part and that’s probably it! BUT! If you guys have any ideas for possible extra chapters I’m more than keen to listen and maybe one day I’ll come back to this and write some cute extra chapters for you guys! So even if you read this months after I posted this, feel free to leave a comment about what would you like to see and stuff!
- Also, I’ll will start posting the Kirishima spin-off a few weeks after this one ends so if you want to be on the tag list, leave me a comment!
- I got myself a really aggressive looking cactus today. He has MASSIVE spikes all over and he looks like he could literally kill a person. His first thing after I bought him was to prick my finger. So obviously I named him Lord Explosion Murder God Dynamight because he’s a prickly little fuck like him.
- I’ll shut up now. Happy new year and all that jazz. 💜💥💜

good evening friends, and welcome to another episode of wips i'll never finish!! thanks to cielo i thought about it and so here's a shouto scene i thought up when i was taking a shower one day lmao.
Tumblr media
You’re not sure what to expect when you finally meet Shouto Todoroki.
Everything you know about him is second hand knowledge. There’s the image the media has painted of him, but you’re smart enough to take that with a grain of salt. There’s the hearsay you get from your friends, but you think they’re just horny. And then there’s everything your parents have said, singing his praises, as the man is god’s gift to the modern world, but you’re sure they just want you to get married to Endeavor’s pro-hero son.
Actually, you’re not even sure how they managed to meet the man or how they got him to agree to arrange a marriage interview between you and his youngest son. Sure, quirk marriages are still a thing, but an archaic and outdated thing. Honestly, if it weren’t for the free lunch you wouldn’t even be here.
Though, you suppose, admittedly, you are a little curious about the hero named Shouto.
When he comes to the table, dressed in what you deem smart casual, you think to yourself that he’s far more handsome than the media says he is. And maybe just as handsome as your friends claim.
But that all changes when he opens his mouth.
“I have no intention of marrying you,” Shouto Todoroki proclaims, luckily, thankfully not loud enough for everyone to hear.
You stare at him, dumbfounded, speechless.
“...no offense,” he adds as an afterthought. You can tell he means it, there's no malice in his voice, only indifference.
It's not like you care. Not like you dolled yourself up a little wanting to make a good first impression. Not like you were looking forward to this. Not like you were expecting anything.
But you can't help but be a little bit annoyed.
And you will make that known.
"Then why did you come?"  You mean to treat him to the same indifference he imparted to you, but an edge of agitation slips through.
If he notices, he doesn't act like it as he answers, "I promised my mother."
He almost looks as if he's going to add something, but thinks better of it as he sits in the seat across from you. This bewilders you even more. Maybe the promise extended to having lunch too.

Favorite TodoBaku/BakuTodo fics
So, I am fairly new to this fandom/pairing, but I decided to start building my favorites list. Already it is very, very hard to choose. There are so many amazing fics and incredible authors writing them! But these (in no particular order) are the ones I am coming back to/re-reading the most. (I'll be adding to this as I go, this is just the start of it). Many of these authors have other fantastic todobaku/bakutodo fics as well.
playing with fire by ninanna. rated M. How things unfold and overlap, hurt and please between two people who do not see any potential in each other beside rivalry and occasional partnership. [Note: I think this is now my favorite all-time fic; it's a tour de force; spectacular. all ninanna's todabaku/bakutodo fics are - the author reaches in and rips out your guts in the best way possible.]
The Feel of His Hand is Like Home by XenophonSpeaks. rated T. A typical mission goes unexpectedly south, leaving Todoroki reeling with panic, injured and compromised. Thankfully, he didn't embark on this mission alone. [This author! so good.]
Sated, by Crossfire. rated M. Some Alphas and Omegas get cuddly, or tired, or hungry. Some Alphas and Omegas like to fuck. Bakugou and Todoroki like to fight. [I'm a sucker for (especially non-explicit) alpha/beta/omega, and this one hits the sweetest of sweet spots.]
anything you say can and will be held against you by delectum. rated G. What is the correct protocol for when the villain you’re supposed to be apprehending starts flirting? [So funny and perfectly executed.]
Be Kind, Rewind by seventh_time_lucky. rated T. What starts off as a normal-seeming Sunday starts to get stranger and stranger, until Shouto finds himself locked out of UA, with no money and no phone, and the only person he can find to help is Midoriya. But Midoriya is too tall and cries every time he looks at Shouto, and Shouto starts to think something has gone really, really wrong. [Perfect angst. wip.]
Finding and Holding by bigcatsmallcat. rated T. Shouto gets temporarily quirked into a mushroom. [This one is really bakutododeku, but it is so adorable I had to put it in.]
Something of Silence by Viidoll. rated T. When Bakugou Katsuki is unexpectedly hit with a muting quirk, he makes it his mission to hunt down the moron stupid enough to silence him. Reluctant to receive help, he somehow gets it anyway - in the perplexing form of one Todoroki Shouto. In the process of losing his voice and struggling to get it back, Bakugou might just learn a little about listening. [Ah, one of the earliest ones I read of these two. So perfect.]
put some socks on by Tierfal. rated T. Shouto comes home after an extremely long day, and Bakugou is sitting on the couch. [The banter here is especially delectable.]
the witch's familiar by orange_cheetah. rated M. The night he escapes from the castle, crown prince Todoroki Shouto finds himself cursed by the magician in his father's employ. Undeterred, Todoroki strikes up a deal of his own: kill the most powerful witch in the kingdom to have the curse broken. There's just one small problem: he's somehow ended up as the familiar of the witch in question—Bakugou Katsuki. [This is such great storytelling, the way the pieces all slot into place at the end.]
i'm tired, i'm tired of not loving you by yekijan. rated M. [Amnesia fic. So much fabulous angst.]
Ten Years Wanting by Ramabear (RyMagnatar). Rated E. Bakugou. His name is Bakugou. Or at least that is what they call him.Everyone has been calling him by some other phrase that he cannot understand and that makes his head hurt when he hears it too much. Bakugou doesn’t feel right until he hears Todoroki call him that and then it does. He remembers Todoroki calling him Bakugou. He has never really said his name with fondness and even now, as he tells Bakugou what he expects of him, he doesn’t say it kindly but he does say it.Something in the back of Bakugou’s mind tells him that this is progress. This is more than what there was before. This is closer to what he wants. [Another amnesia fic, this time the other way around].
A normal poly relationship doesn't have this many fucking spreadsheets by Anonymous. Not Rated. three teenage boys being fucking idiots because actually being mature about your feelings is for suckers. [wip. this is hilarious but also very sweet. warning: izuku is pretty much an asshole here, at least so far. and it is very much bakutodo/todobaku, not bakutododeku.]
I will love you in every universe by HeavenCat. Rated T. During a rescue mission, pro hero Katsuki aka Dynamight switches places with his fifteen-year-old self. (it's so good! so sweet and funny and good).
feel free to put your own faves in the comments or tags 😉

I love babies, so we’re talking about Kindergarten AU for BNHA! Cause I can! (Quirkless)
Aizawa and Mic are the two main teachers for Alpha Kindergarten, Toshinori is their usual substitute . Aizawa is the more quiet and calm teacher, happily cuddling and colouring with the more shy and less active kids while Hizashi runs around, and goes crazy. They make a good team.
Toshinori technically retained, but he loves kids so much he comes in every Wednesday and Thursday, he may not be able to run around like he used to, but he’s still a great playmate, and the BEST at playing pretend! Bakugo and Izuku always beg him to play hero’s with them, or beg for superhero stories.
Speaking of Bakugo and Izuku, they are best frenamies, atleast one fight a day between them, but the next day it’s like it didn’t happen. Most fights don’t get bad, just some yelling, crying and some time apart to cool off, but there is the odd physical fight. Never any serious injury, yet…
During their time separate they’re sent to play with the others. Bakugo usually ends up with Kirishima, Denki, Sero and Mina playing trucks, and Deku plays house with Ochako, Froppy and Idia. They always end up back together playing hero’s though, saving the small family from a car crash.
Toshinori always checks over everyone after the hero’s save the day to make sure everyone is safe and not hurt. Including the other drivers (Mina, Sero, Denki and Kirishima)
Shortly after the rescue, Sero gets tired and snuggles up with Aizawa for a nap along side Shoji and Koda. Those two are the two snuggle bugs, always wanting hugs, to be carried, and following the teachers like little ducklings. Though Shoji sometimes gets dragged off by tokoyami and Ojiro for some playtime, Koda refuses to go too far from the teachers. Jiro was able to get him to come play some music with her a few times, but he always ends up back by one of the teachers with his arms held up for uppies!
Jiro usually can get Koda with piano or softer music, always letting him use the maracas even though they are EVERYONES favorite. Momo is the only other one okay sharing the maracas with Koda as everyone else snatches them (cause they’re five, and that’s what kids do). Momo has actually yelled at Shouto for snatching the maracas and made him give them back to Koda.
Shouto is working on his snatching habit, as he’s the baby in his family, he’s a bit spoiled. He’s getting better at sharing everyday though, and is thankfully out of his MINE phase! Aizawa and Hizashi are both so greatful for that! Aoyama sadly isn’t out of his mine phase…
Aoyama atleast doesn’t go for everything, just shiny things. He and Tokoyami both are the little sparkle lovers, once covering them both in glitter and sequins when Hizashi and Aizawa were splitting up a fight between Bakugo and Izuku. They never made the mistake of leaving the art and crafts in reach. Aoyama had glitter trailing him for over a week. His parents felt so bad though, the ended up sending MORE glitter and sparkles to make up for what Aoyama used.
Toshinori was very confused when he got put in arts and crafts duty for two days in a row.

Heat of the island
“How’d he die, (Y/n)?” Katsuki asks for the last time.
The last time for all of them.
There is something in the air. A sharpness to the quality that just doesn’t sit right. It is past tension and disbelief. Whatever it is, it’s off-putting and confusing. Something isn’t right and you may be the only one to notice it.
And that’s terrifying being among heroes.
A/N: i dont own bnha. tried to edit this the best i could. it's not the best but it'll work tw: plane crash, minor character death, allergies. reader x deku, reader x shouto
“Is everyone clear on the proper procedure?” You ask with your most professional voice.
“She’s acting like she doesn’t know us.” You point to the “whisperers” who are huddled together rather than listening to your instruction. “I do know you unfortunately, which is why I’m asking if you understand.”
Kaminari cackles and Kirishima rubs the back of his neck and mutters an apology. Mina jumps up with Ochako and Tsu, singing a tune about a fabulous vacation. Momo smiles sweetly and encourages it. It’s a wonder how they got through school like this, honestly.
Rolling your eyes, you go to the cockpit. Normally, you would take one of your bigger aircrafts when sporting this many people. It's just Ol’ Betty, your beautiful creation, is your flight of choice today. She wanted to fly again since it’s been a hot minute.
When you were a student in U.A., you worked tirelessly on a plane. A plane that would be safe, light, and secure. One built for speed and is amphibious too. No matter how many times Power Loader told you to make anything other than Betty, and how people made fun of her look, you were determined to finish her. Her mixed pieces of old junk metal, mix matched parts and seats, made her unique and familiar.
Finally, she was born in the nick of time. Right when Shigaraki attacked U.A. and the defenses crashed, it was you who gathered people into Betty and her attachments. She took off like lightning to Shitesku. It was your own version of heroism. Perhaps this is why these heroes trust you so much with Betty. Although she was made by your own hands, she is the best of the best. No other plane was up for the job to transport so many people yet there you and Betty were, ready, willing, and able.
You sit down and nod to your co-pilot, Jay. The plane comes to life and drives. Seconds later, she’s in the air she was made for.
“You sure are eating a lot of those.” Jay continues to eat his fifth bag of peanuts. “They’re good.”
“Honey roasted?” You ask.
“How’d you know?” You side eye him. “’Cause they’re mine punk, slow down on them.”
Jay smacks his lips and continues to eat them with one hand. You’ve known Jay since before you got your license. He was in General Studies, wanting to be a pilot. He sought you out for you to train him. Ever since then, he’s been your right hand. Jay was taking notes on how to create a Betty of his own, even though he criticized every little thing you did. To this day you want to smack the shit out of him.
“It’s okay, though. It's fair since I ate your Debbie’s.” He shrieks. “You ate my Little Debbie’s?”
You hum in response with a grin on your face. “I just love Zebra Cakes.”
“You motherfucker. I can’t have nothing nice.” He pouts and rolls his eyes at you. You laugh at him, just enjoying the ride.
The heroes you are carrying, Uravity, Deku, Dynamite, Pinky, Chargebolt, Creati, Red Riot, Froppy, Anima, and Shouto, are all relaxing and enjoying the ride. Shouto, as you suspected, is asleep the moment the flight started. Katsuki relaxes by the window at first until Izuku starts to excitedly talk about their vacation. The girls sing together and Denki dances in his seat, slightly scaring Koda who just wants to land already. Lastly, there is Eijiro who’s just trying to survive.
All these crazy ass people aboard your precious child. Thankfully, it doesn’t require gasoline like regular, old fashioned planes. No, your baby is charged up with energy and her own determination to go and get them away from you and to their vacation.
“Where are we headed anyway?” You show your co-pilot an island just west of Japan. It should be no more than a few hours flight if that long. With your experience of flying this way, it will be a breeze if everything cooperates, which no doubt it will. Betty is a speed loving machine that has never failed.
“They’re going on vacation. It’s our job to get them there and celebrate when they leave,”  You poke your friend on the shoulder and whisper, “And preferably leave with a couple of drinks.”
Setting the course, you put on auto-pilot and pat Jay. “I’ll be back I have to use the bathroom.” In just a few minutes you are out of the bathroom and face your passengers.
“Pilot?” You turn to see Izuku shyly say your nickname that was given to you in high school. “Thanks for the ride.” A slight blush paints his cheeks. He looks away not wanting you to see it. The big guy practically takes up the doorway.
When you two met, you were in high school. You in the support department and him in the hero course. While he usually went to Mei for gear, you were visited for more flight-based items. Once Izuku triggered his Float, he was a client of yours too. Especially when he discovered that you were quirkless. Throughout U.A. it was only the two of you who were quirkless. Moreso you than him given One For All. Nevertheless, the coincidence of quirklessness gave a sense of camaraderie between the two of you.
Growing up with him for three years you got to see the many changes in his body. By the third year, he grew over a foot if not more. Now in the mid-twenties, his muscles are proportionate to his height. He still has his green curls but they’re shorter with an undercut now. His green eyes are still very round and big while his freckles are still prominent on his cheeks.
Honestly, it’s insane how much he’s changed physically. Izuku Midoriya is a man now. A deep voiced man that is so shy around you. Deep inside, he’s still a little nerd.
“My pleasure Izuku.” He turns beat red at the sound of his first name. After all this time he’s still blushing from it. You’ve never been one to call others by their last name. Hell, the teachers at U.A. don’t even get that treatment. You’ll never forget Shouta’s face whenever you called him that. His hair stood up and eyes glowed red and not by his quirk.
Though nothing could top Izuku’s reaction. Steam came out of his ears so much that you thought his poor head would pop off. “T-t-tanks-I mean thanks!”
Not giving up the chance to mess with him, you press it. “Well, how could it not be my pleasure to fly the number one hero.” You tease. Izuku wants to cover his face so badly.
Without the need of a mind reading quirk, you can hear the ‘You’re a hero, Izuku! You’ve faced tougher than this! You’re a man now, not a kid.’
When he first became a hero, you caught him telling himself that. Ever since then you’ve just known when he was saying it. You can admit that he’s cute. Hell, maybe not cute as much as handsome. He straightens up and stares at you dead on, ready to say something. “ Deku! You’re acting like Mineta, you little-”
“Don’t be mad because you're still on the ‘Pilot’ level, Katsuki. He’s got first name privileges.” You yell over Izuku’s shoulder. “I do?”
“Yep! It’s okay, Izuku.” You squeeze his callous, large hand. “Go on sit down. This is a safety hazard.”
“It is?!” Mina asks. “ Yes, it is miss . You’d know this if y’all listened!” It isn’t anymore at least. Not since you’ve taken off and have been in the air for a while. It's an innocent lie to get them to calm down.
You take off back to the cockpit, pushing back the red curtains for just a moment. Teenage you didn’t think about a door, okay? So the curtains stay for now.
Deciding not to check if Betty is on track, you instead lean back and enjoy the ride. Betty is on autopilot anyway. Nothing is going to go wrong.
With the singing and laughing in the back, the quiet sound of your own song, you don’t realize that this is the last bit of happiness and that you should have been more observant of your surroundings.
Suddenly, the sky is flushed with a dark blue that morphs into a stormy grey. Clouds are fluffy and reveal some streaks of light in their creases. There hasn’t been any noise yet. Nevertheless, the image itself is telling. There is a deep, eerie feeling in the pit of your stomach.
“Thunderstorm? There were no reports today...”
Before the ride, you checked everything to see how the air would be. Nothing showed that this should be happening. It was forecast that it would be a mild day. However, random storms can occur. Nothing is ever set.
Mina’s shouting is the clearest of them all. “What’s wrong with the plane!”
The turbulence is always scary for passengers. You grab the speaker and say beautiful words. “Please shut up. It's just a thunderstorm.”
“Are we going to die?!” You roll your eyes. Turbulence is scary but not concerning. It happens all the time.
“Denki, please shut up. No one is going to die. It's just a storm. We've been through worse.” You hang up the mic and continue on. It is weird that this happened so suddenly. There wasn’t any indication either. It was just a sudden darkness that washed against the sky after what seemed like a wave of blue. It kind of reminded you of an actual ocean wave.
“It’s fine. Nothing you haven’t been through before, (Y/n).”
Minutes pass with ease and only the slightest turbulence. Jay has been suspiciously quiet for a while. “Probably asleep, knowing him.”
Poking him, you call him. “Jay, how’d you expect to get to this level if you’re sleeping?”
He’s turned away from you. All you can see is the back of his head and the collar of his jacket high up on his neck, close to his cheeks. Pushing him now, you see him clearly when his face turns to you. His face has a tinge of blue and it’s swollen.
You scream at the top of your lungs.
“Jay? Jay?! Jay!” You shake him. What the hell is going on?! He was just fine minutes ago! You continue to shake him and call his name. It takes a moment for everything to dawn on you. The coldness of his skin finally wakes you up. It all  starts to make sense. The peanuts, the silence, the equipment, the storm, all of it. You look at the screens again. No fucking wonder, it's because you’re off course.    Jay was never sleeping. As he was suffering at some point, he must have messed with the controls on accident when you weren’t here.
He isn’t sleeping. Jay is swollen and blue and has crusted tears. Calling and crying his name isn’t waking him up. He’s not breathing.
His seatbelt is off at the worst time. A particularly strong turbulence interrupts your cries for your friend. The bounce of the plane is so strong that it moves his body on top of the dash. Tears stream down your face.
“Jay, I love you. But move your dead body!”
You push him off to control the plane again. Again, a blue color surrounds the sky that doesn’t look natural. It looks like a light almost. “Pilot? What’s going on?”
Izuku rushes to you only to see you crying, trying to get control of the plane and Jay on the ground, motionless.
“I didn’t even know. He had a check up! I-he pushed-he's cold! Check on him, please! ”
This can’t be happening. For some reason, the plane isn’t cooperating. In all of your experience, nothing like this has ever happened. The plane is refusing to steer correctly. Checking your equipment, you can see from your end that everything is fine. As a pilot, you need to take responsibility, yes. You shouldn’t have been negligent. But, at this moment, it feels as if the plane is being pulled down.
Izuku doesn’t know what’s happening here, but what is so painfully obvious is that the plane is about to crash. No matter how much you try to lift it, Betty refuses to raise up.
How could this have happened? How? Jay doesn’t have a peanut allergy! He had a check up recently and ate peanuts all the time before. It had been a while, but honey roasted was his favorite! Maybe it’s not peanuts? It could have been anything, right?
You killed him.
What else could have done him in?
Jay, Jay, Jay! He's so cold too. You are the one who bought the peanuts. You watched him eat them. You are the one who wasn't paying attention.
“Izuku, go sit down!”
“I can’t, (Y/n).” Before questioning why, he leans in and says, “My danger sense is going off.”
There’s a flash of lightning and the rain is pouring so hard it’s pounding. The lights are going crazy as the plane continues to bounce from the strange force and your will to control it.
Deep inside of your gut you feel it too. The plane dodges the strikes of lightning. Usually, you’d be able to navigate a storm and planes wouldn’t have to worry about dodging. However, this storm is drastically different.  It’s not natural, you can feel it. Can Izuku?
“Obviously! We’re going down! Just try to sit your ass down.”
Finally, you see a small strip of land, an island. You could try to continue to fly through this or land until it gets better. Another wash of blue comes for the plane right as lightning strikes brightly. Your head begins to hurt, you feel dizzy and confused. A sharp chill runs up your spine and makes your hair stand up. For some reason your eyes can’t seem to focus on anything.
You push the special landing gear. Izuku wraps his large body around you, purely on instinct. Stretching your arm to push one more button and the yoke, you somehow, among all the chaos and heartbreak, are actually managing to land the plane.
The plane dives as you say, and the blessed features come out in time. Along with the average plane safety features, you installed a soft pad that lightens the plane before impact and if need be, floats in water. A parachute deploys and sends a bright flare into the sky. Cushions envelope the passengers to brace for impact. All these features were put in when you were a teen. They were random and some were based on heroes. Power Loader would roll his eyes at it until he saw it work when All For One and Shigaraki tried to take it down. Every passenger on board was completely safe.
After that, no one ever made fun of Betty. Funny how far you and Betty have fallen. Literally.
Strong arms tighten around you, Izuku pushes himself in front of you. With one last effort, you stretch your hand higher. “Iz-uku! One more .”
Screaming, your finger finally presses the button for nearby pilots, authorities, and radios for help. There is a good chance that it won't work. Nevertheless, Betty was going down by this mysterious storm and you can swear that there’s something pulling her down.
---
You wake up first. By the time that happens, the sun is shining brightly, and the heat is horrible. Tremendously sweating, it gets worse when Izuku becomes a boa constrictor and squeezes you. Your face smashes into his chest. “Izuku, please...” You gasp.
Moving slightly, your mouth comes to face his neck. Heavily breathing, you bite his neck. He wakes up with a hiss. “W-what?”
“Wake up, please.” A whisper is enough to make him alert. Izuku pops up and looks around. Somehow, he’s completely intact despite using himself as a cushion for you. His green eyes study you. His hands roam over your body to look for any wounds.
“Are you okay? Can you see me?” You nod and prop yourself up. “Slow down, slow down, Pilot.”
Groaning, you tell him you’re alright but you’re not sure about everyone else. “A cushion should’ve deployed. We have to go check though.”
As Izuku holds you up, Jay’s body lay behind him. “Huh?” Izuku looks behind him.
“What?” You try to see what he is staring at, but Izuku shuts that down.
“Sh, sh, don’t look. Don’t look.” Izuku holds your face towards him and leads you away. Your eyes burn and lip wobbles. It’s a surprise when lips touch your head.
You don’t even think about that. Who cares? Jay is gone. Betty crashed. The passengers may be gone for all that’s known. Where are you? The course was set, and the sky was clear. No storm came up on your reports and equipment. Not even a hint of a formation.
Jay, oh Jay. What did you do?
Why are you blaming him, you who bought the peanuts? You who didn’t check on him. Some friend you are. You killed him. You should’ve known what was happening. You swallow hard at the nausea.  You whisper so quietly, Izuku doesn’t hear you. “God help me...” Help Jay, help everyone.
Everyone is safe, as far as you can see. The cushions on their chairs safely encased them. The seatbelts are wrapped around their body. You give a sigh of relief that there isn't a gory sight.
Walking to the first aid kit, you get the scanner that checks not only their temperature, but also any wounds they may carry. It is something Recovery Girl gave you when you helped at U.A.’s fortress all those years ago. You press it to Koda’s forehead then bring it down.
“97, sore throat?” That never happens with Koda. As long as you have known him, he has always made sure to care for his throat. Hell, Momo relishes that he comes to her for tea and honey. Then again, the sore throat could have been from him screaming, if he even did.
The news that he was generally okay feels like a heavy weight’s been lifted. That news alone is not able to completely release the guilt and heartache, however. There is still so much that needs to be done, to be figured out, to be buried.
“Katsuki, 98, no injuries.”
His usual, if you remember, is at least 105 or so. It always ranged whenever he used his quirk recently. That tends to happen for all of those who have fire-based quirks. Out of curiosity, you press your finger to his palm. The callous skin is cooler than it usually is. In fact, his hands are completely dry as well. There is not a hint of moisture.
You go through all of them except Shouto, whose eyes have opened. He rubs the back of his head and looks around confused. Each seemed relatively normal and with little to no injuries. The oddities are how their usual care is opposite, like how Koda’s throat is sore and how Katsuki’s palms are cooled down.
At least they’re okay.
This whole thing is surreal. Nothing about what happened makes sense given how sudden it was and yet, everything is okay. Almost as if it never happened. Like the rush of a blue hue wasn’t there or the feel of the pull was imaginary.
“Izuku, face me.” He reads at a normal temperature with only a few bruises and exhaustion. “Did you check yourself?”
“I’m fine. Isn’t it weird that everything is okay? And they’re reading the opposite of what they usually are?”
“It could be faulty. You still need to be checked at least.”
“Even though it’s faulty?” Izuku rolls his eyes and reaches for the device.
Steps are heard then. “Here, I'll do it.” A barely cool right hand presses the device at your head. Shouto used to help with Recovery Girl with you when U.A. was a fortress. He felt that it was his duty because of the destruction Dabi caused. With you being in the support course, you had also taken up a few tips and tricks with Recovery Girl. Following her around and learning led you to be a big help during the wars and the fortress.
You taught Shouto everything he knows. Does he remember it? Probably not, the spacey brat.
“A mild concussion.” Well damn. “Are you sure, Shouto?”
Izuku looks at the device too. “We have to sit her down.” Izuku agrees and helps you sit at one of the passenger seats. “I’m so sorry, Pilot. I should’ve done better,” You pet his hand that rests on your shoulder.
“Watch her while I go check everything out.” He reluctantly leaves but knows you are safe in Shouto’s hands.
You take the device and move Shouto’s hair so you can place it directly on Shouto’s forehead. “I need two.”
“I know, this is just to check something. 98.” You place it on both sides of his forehead, only to get the same results.
This is off. Usually, a fire based user will run warm and an ice user runs cold. In Shouto’s case, if he hasn’t used his quirk and is fine, the device should read ERR. It is normal to have to put two scanners on his head just to read what his temperatures are in case he isn’t alright.  You remember the first time having to do a little math on him when he became sick.
Never has he ever been a normal human temperature. “I could just be off, Y/n.”
“Or the device is? It's hot out, so Katsuki's palms should be sweating a ton. And shouldn't we all be a little warmer because of the heat? But none of that is happening.”
He shakes his head. “I don’t think so. It's right about you. You don't look too good.” He grabs it from you and tosses it to another chair. You put your head in your hands.
“Nothing feels real.” He rubs your arms. He’s always been very comforting and awkward.  “What happened?”
It takes a few moments to remember everything, which you feel isn’t much. He nods as you tell of the random storm and how Jay is dead. “I feel like there’s more, though.”
“Well, the injury is minor. You'll be better in a day at most."
Aggravated noises come from behind Shouto. “What the fuck just happened?!”
Katsuki walks towards his friend (who he still won’t admit is his friend). “Where the hell is she!”
“I’m here, Katsuki.” Shouto stands when you give yourself away. “What the hell is going on? What the fuck did you do?”
“It was an accident.” Katsuki gets into Shouto’s face. “Yeah? By whose account? I know you can’t believe her.”
You understand he’s scared. It’s expected. But to think you’d endanger them on purpose is hurtful. Shouto defends you every step of the way. “Ask Midoriya then if you don’t believe. He was with her.”
The blond leaves with heavy stomping. “Deku!”
Shouto squats in front of you. “It’s going to be okay, Pilot.”
“I don’t understand this at all.” You truly don’t. And neither does Shouto, you think.
No more than an hour later, everyone is up and outside. The heat is slowly becoming worse, and the air is too dry. The sand is doing nothing to help. The waves carry on in the background, doing little to overpower the loud complaints from everyone.
Mina is screaming that she can’t use her quirk. Eijrou can barely harden, Katsuki gives the saddest explosions that cause him pain, Koda can only get a bird’s attention, this is the same trend for everyone. What is worse is that Izuku can only feel the embers of One For All and gave you a hurt expression when discovered. As if you had taken it from him.
Painful, absolutely painful.
As the sun beats down on everyone, you swear you can see a sheer blue tint around you. It graces ever so slightly on their skin. The same color lays all around you. The ground, the abundant trees, Betty, even the waves as much as you can tell. You want to voice your thoughts, but the situation at hand doesn’t call for it.
------------
The heroes start to calm down. Momo, as usual, begins to plan for shelter from the heat. Koda and Eijrou immediately run around for anything of use. It isn’t until Mina asks a question does everybody stop.
“Where’s Jay?” Mina asks. As the hour passed, your head began to get better. You inform everyone of a much clearer picture than you had told Shouto. How you found him, how the dash acted off, everything.
 Mina gasps. “Are you sure?”
“Positive. His face was swollen and his body was blue when I got there. It must’ve been the peanuts! What else could it have been, y’know? He was completely fine when I left for the bathroom.” You sniffle.
“Allergies can develop at any age. Even later in life so it’s not impossible, Pilot.” Denki reassures. You rub your face with your hands.  Katsuki leaves to go into the plane’s controls to check on him. “There’s always hope, you know.” Eijrou says as he rubs your shoulder.
“It doesn’t feel real. None of it does. How could this have happened? He just had a checkup. Everything was on the up and up. How did this happen?"
“It never does feel right. There is never a good answer, either.” You nod and lean into the touch of the large red headed man.
“Huh, what’d she say about Jay?” Katsuki calls. You yell back your answer, completely confused. Suddenly, he appears with Jay. Jay, who doesn’t look at all as you described. Gasping, you run to him. Instead, he...looks normal.
Completely fine. Inside you is a delicate flower of hope blooms. Did you see wrong? Is he just sleeping? Could it have been a horrifying illusion?
“Oh my God. Jay? Jay!” Katsuki holds him out. You lightly tap his face. Abandoning the taps, you go on to slight shakes.
Your friend is still dead as a cold doorknob. The flower that tried to blossom is crushed to dust, as if Tomura himself had reached his hand and touched your chest. “What really happened, L/n.”
L/n. He hasn’t called you that since your first meeting when you were fifteen. As they study Jay, everyone gets increasingly confused.
He repeats his question as a whisper that only you two hear. “I swear-”
Katsuki Bakugou doesn’t believe you.
“I-I swear, okay? Izuku can testify that I'm not lying. Jay was swollen and everything. The swelling must’ve gone down.”
“And the color?” His face is still accusatory. “I don’t know, I don’t know! I can’t think of anything else that would cause it.”  Tsu puts her finger on her chin. “Is that possible? If that’s the case, then maybe it fumes that killed him?”
“What fumes,” Shouto comes to look at Jay. “Can cause this?”
You shrug. “I didn’t smell any.”
“But if he was blue, can people become unblue?” Denki squints as he inspects your friend’s body.
----------
“They’re supposed to be here by now.” Shouta Aizawa leans back in his chair with a beer in his hand. Going to the island for vacation wasn’t his idea or something he was looking forward to, but damn is he glad he went. With the beautiful sandy floor, the fresh breeze and beautiful waves, all of it is gorgeous. The lagoon to his right where his colleagues frolic around to the sky where the birds roam free.
Paradise.
Tenya rubs sunscreen on his arms. “Sensei?” He asks as he puts out the lotion towards the hero. “I’m not your teacher anymore, kid.”
His old class have grown tremendously. Iida, or should he say, Ingenium, is one of the most in demand heroes. His speed is unrivaled even by One For All. Iida has grown to save all of those in his path, making not only his old teacher proud but his brother as well.
Iida’s still a stick in the mud though. And he still does those robot hands for some reason.
“Haha, I know. At least officially you aren’t. But trust, Aizawa-sensei, we’ll always see you that way.”
Rolling his eye, he takes the bottle from the former class president. It is seconds later that Hitoshi, who Shouta can consider his own protégé, comes up to them and informs them that they have lost contact with your plane a little over an hour ago with a parting message that is nearly impossible to understand due to the static.
Shouta jumps up with a poorly concealed worried look. If you can go down, something is terribly wrong. There is no way a renowned pilot like yourself can crash just randomly.
It must be a villain. There is no other explanation.
 “Where’s the radio?”

Menagerie part 6
Part 5
Izuku’s eyes widened at the heated hand fisted into his uniform, no doubt scorching the fabric. He opened his mouth to protest, but Bakugo beat him to it, shoving him harder against the wall. “What the fuck Deku?” Bakugo seethed, and Izuku felt his breath freeze in his chest. “All this fucking time you had a quirk and you hid it from me?! You looking down on me hah?!”
“I wasn’t-”Izuku stammered, only to be cut off.
“Don’t fucking lie to me!” Bakugo roared,“You used that round faced bitch to get first place. That doesn’t make you fucking stronger than me, you hear?!”
“My quirk-” Izuku tried again, but this time when Bakugo shoved him again, his head hit the wall harshly. He winced from the pain, hoping it wasn’t bad enough to bruise.
“You were looking down on me this whole time huh? I bet it’s ‘cause your quirk is useless without taking advantage of someone else,”Bakugo sneered. Izuku braced himself for the oncoming rant, part of him hoping Aizawa was close by. Aizawa wasn’t like his old teachers, he’d do something, right? But oh, that’d get Bakugo in trouble. Izuku couldn’t tell if he wanted that or not. “Figures you’d hide such a villainous quirk.”
Izuku sucked in a breath at Bakugo’s words. Zura wasn’t villainous. They were a bond, an experience, an embodiment of friendship and understanding. Zura would never be a bad thing, he thought. Izuku took a breath, gearing up to defend himself as the anger inside him grew when two sets of footsteps creeped up on them.
“The fuck do you think you’re doing?” Someone asked harshly. Izuku tried to peer around Bakugo, but the blonde was so close it was stifling.
“None of your fucking b-”Bakugo snarled, only to stop halfway. There was a moment of silence and Izuku didn’t dare move when he heard a quiet sigh from behind them. Izuku’s eyes widened at the blank look in Bakugo’s eyes and the lack of strength behind his grip on Izuku’s shirt.
“Let him go and step back,”The voice continued, and to Izuku’s surprise, Katsuki did just that.
As Bakugo stepped away, Izuku turned his wide eyes to the voice, and saw the purple haired kid from class, and next to him was a boy with red and white hair. Both of them looked angry. “Are you okay?” Purple hair asked gently to Izuku, snapping him out of it and realizing that he was staring at them. Izuku blinked at them.
“Um, yeah,”Izuku stammered. He put a hand over his scorched uniform, feeling the heat and seeing that the damage wasn’t too bad. He’d be able to get the marks out in the washer most likely. Seeing his reaction, the peppermint haired boy scowled. “T-thanks.”
“Don’t worry about it. The names Shinsou,”The purple haired boy added with a glare towards Bakugo, who was standing blankly, awaiting orders.
“I-I’m Izuku Midoriya,”Izuku responded, looking to the peppermint haired kid while his mind raced about what kind of quirk Shinsou had. Was it some form of mind-control? Probably response based but Izuku wondered if there were other activation requirements.
“Shouto,” Shouto said flatly. He was still glaring at Bakugo and the scorch mark on Izuku’s uniform.
“N-nice to meet you, um. S-sorry about all that, Bakugo is just...”Izuku failed to find words,”He’s known me since we were kids and thought I was lying. A-about my quirk, I mean. I didn’t know I had one until a month ago, uh. It needed special activation requirements,”Izuku rambled. Shinsou and Shouto’s faces morphed into understanding and still a bit of anger as they no doubt realized that Bakugo bullied him for being quirkless. Maybe they wouldn’t care that he was quirkless? Izuku rushed to explain, his arms waving in front of himself,”I-it’s fine really, he just,”Izuku started, but stopped when his brain failed to explain it. Thankfully Shinsou interrupted that train wreck of a conversation.
“Go back to the classroom and grab your bag. Then go home,”Shinsou seethed at Bakugo, and the blonde wordlessly followed, walking down the hall to the classroom. Izuku watched him go, in awe of Shinsou’s quirk. The purple haired teen turned to him, glancing at Izuku’s ruined uniform. He opened his mouth, about to say something when Izuku’s brain rebelled against him.
“Was that your quirk? How long does it last? Is it just response based? That would be so useful for hero work, no wonder you’re in 1-A, I bet Aizawa sensei would be able to each you a lot about combat to supplement your quirk- or if you wanted to be an underground hero even better but you’d still be great as a twilight hero if you’d wanted like-”Izuku rambled, and the two looked on in confusion and in Shinsou’s case, surprise and embarrassment.
“Uh- yeah. My quirk’s called brainwashing,”Shinsou said, cutting Izuku off and rubbing the back of his neck. Izuku let out a breath at the conversation change. If he had to explain anything else about Bakugo and him he’d probably end up in tears. Izuku figured it was better to just not think about it. “I’d like to be an underground hero, like Aizawa-sensei.”
Izuku perked up, coming closer to the two in his excitement. Shouto on the other hand was watching the two of them with a bit of awe and confusion. “That’s awesome! I think I want to be a twilight hero, but since I’m usually quirkless it helps to have combat experience. We should spar sometime! Uraraka and I have been learning together and you could join- I mean, if you, if you want?”
Shinsou let out a light laugh. “I guess it’s kinda obvious that I don’t have much combat experience.” He said, walking down the hall back to their classroom with Izuku at his side. It took Shouto a moment but he followed too. Shinsou turned to Shouto nonchalantly. “What about you? Want to spar with us?”
Izuku saw a bit of surprise flash across Shouto’s face before returning to a blank expression. “Sure,”He responded, looking away towards the door ahead of them. Shinsou smirked.
“Well, count me and the ice prince in,”Shinsou grinned at Izuku, and he couldn’t help but grin back. They hashed out more details on their walk, and even exchanged numbers, much to Izuku’s excitement. He now had Mic, Shouta, Uraraka, and now Shouto and Shinsou! It was five more friends than he’s had his entire life, and if he kept thinking about it he’d start to cry again, so he settled for smiling like an idiot instead.
As they entered the classroom, Izuku was instantly bombarded by Uraraka and surprisingly, the yellow-haired boy who Izuku was pretty sure was named Denki. However, the two behind him frowned, looking at each other with determination and nodding towards the teacher. Shinsou glanced at Izuku to make sure he wasn’t paying attention before going to talk to Aizawa and asking to talk outside the classroom. Shouto followed the two out while Izuku was cheerfully chatting with his other friends.
“-And it’s got a bunch of books, so you can just sit there with the cats for hours,”Denki was explaining. Izuku, Uraraka, and Denki were crowded around their desks, Denki leaning back in his chair so far Izuku was afraid he’d fall, Izuku perched on Denki’s desk and Uraraka on another chair.
“But it’s not a cat cafe?” Uraraka asked, her cheek squished against her arm. Denki shook his head.
“Nah, it’s more like a library that just happens to have cats. They have four, and I’m pretty sure they’re all from the same litter,”Denki said, waving his arm. “They’re really cute though, Mina loves them. Two are all black, and the other two are black and white.” “What are their names?” Uraraka asks. Izuku nods, leaning forward.
“The black ones are Shadow and Spooky, and the black and white ones are Moozley and Oreo,” Denki smiled, “Because Moozley is like moo, because she has spots that look like a cow.”
“Aw,”Izuku and Uraraka cooed.
“Actually I think I have pictures from last time Mina and I were there,”Denki said, reaching for his phone. It wouldn’t have been a problem, but Denki was also teetering his chair back, and with the sudden movement he lost his balance and started falling backwards with a yelp and wave of his arms.
Being the closest, Izuku reached for Denki’s hand to stabilize him, only for Denki to accidentally pull Izuku down with him. They both yelped as they crashed to the floor with a startled yelp and a flashing bright light.
Uraraka blinked away the spots in her eyes and looked down to where the two had crashed. Her eyes widened when she saw them fused together, with the same uniform but with bright yellow-green hair and wide eyes that seemed to glow.
“Holy shit,”Izuku-Denki breathed. “Wait- no, fuck- Sorry- no it’s fine- I didn’t mean to- you’re okay?” Denki-Izuku stammered, talking over themself in a stuttered conversation.
“You two fused!” Uraraka squealed, and the two of them turned and looked over at her surprise, obviously having forgotten she was there. “Do you feel okay? What should I call you?”
They seemed to think for a moment before nodding. “I’m okay. Yeah. I’m okay.” Turning eyes towards Uraraka they beamed. “I think I want to know what my quirk is before I decide on a name.”
“Ooh,”Uraraka leaned forward in excitement.”Do you know what your quirk is? Denki’s is lightning, and Izuku’s is touch and feeling based.”
“I… I don’t know!” They laughed, finally stumbling to get to their feet. “This is super cool though, I feel… I feel like I just ate a bunch of sugar. Energized maybe? I dunno but it’s exciting and I want to try it out.”
Tumblr media
Before Uraraka could add on or say something like, hey maybe we should wait for Aizawa sensei before you try a possibly dangerous quirk, they took a stumbling step forward that turned into a lightning fast dash to the front of the classroom and smack into the chalkboard. At the impact, Izuku and Denki broke apart and fell to the floor, both holding their faces in varying levels of pain and excitement.
“We’re fast!” Denki exclaimed, and Izuku laughed lightly. “Oh my gosh this is so cool, we’re like lightning- like- like a bolt of lightning! That could be our name!”
“It describes our quirk and is like a normal nickname, or name, but also kind of a hero name?”Izuku rambled, still smiling like an idiot, “I like it.”
“Oh my gosh oh my gosh,”Uraraka ran up to them. “Are you guys okay?”
“Yeah! Bolt is just super fast and we accidentally ran into the wall,”Denki said sagely.
Uraraka snorted, then stood straighter. “Oh- If you’re like, lightning fast, do you think Bolt is faster than Iida?” Izuku and Denki exchanged wide eyed glances before bursting out theories and bets. Izuku hardly even noticed that he’d forgotten about Bakugo completely, only focused on the two friends in the room with him. It was a nice feeling, and he couldn’t wait to have more days like this one.
“What do you need?’ Aizawa questioned, looking from the serious yet determined look in Shinsou’s eyes to the angry discolored eyes of Todoroki standing next to him.
“Bakugo attacked Midoriya outside the locker room,” Shinsou scowled. Aizawa’s eyes widened. He hadn’t noticed anything wrong with the two when they’d come into the classroom. “I used my quirk on Bakugo to grab his stuff and go home.”
Aizawa sighed. He’d noticed Bakugo glaring at Izuku all day, but apparently he misjudged the meaning behind it. “Thank you for telling me. I’ll take care of it.”
Shinsou’s shoulders relaxed minutely, but Shouto frowned. “What are you planning on doing?” Todoroki glared, and it occurred to Shouta that Todoroki didn’t think he’d do anything about it. That he’d sweep bullying under the rug. “Both of us saw Bakugo burn Midoriya’s uniform and pin him against a wall.”
“I believe you,”Shouta reassured, resisting the urge to punch everyone who hurt these kids and made them not trust adults. “I’ll be reviewing the footage of the event and looking into their schools. I’d been suspicious of Bakugo before since he’d gone to the same middle school as Midoriya, so reaching out to their previous school will help me determine if he should be expelled or if I need to get the police involved.” Aizawa said, and Todoroki seemed to relax at that.
“Midoriya was quirkless before, when he went to school with Bakugo,”Shinsou blurted. “I think Bakugo was bullying him because of that.”
“It seems that is the case,”Aizawa sighed, wishing he had a cup of coffee. Before he dismissed them, the hero turned to the shorter of the two. “Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Is that all, or do you need anything else? I’ll help however I can.” He said meaningfully, observing the way Todoroki shifted in surprise. He’d have to keep an eye out for the kid.
Todoroki glanced at Shinou, who gave him a slight encouraging look, but mostly looked confused. Right when Todoroki was about to say something, there was a loud thud from inside the classroom. All three of them turned, and Aizawa sighed when the two boys immediately went for the door.
Shouta was worried for a few seconds until he remembered that he’d left Izuku and Ochako in there with Kaminari. No doubt they were just horsing around, but Shouta figured maybe a desk or chair had fallen over. Peering over the two tall children blocking his way, he saw Izuku and Denki on the floor in front of the whiteboard, both holding their faces but smiling excitedly as they tried to talk over the laughter of Ochako, who was clutching her stomach.
Aizawa sighed as Izuku’s eyes caught sight of the three. “Aizawa! I used my quirk on Denki!” He beamed, only to realize how that might sound in front of Shinsou and Shouto, and hastily added,”On accident!”
Denki jumped up from the ground, pulling Izuku with him. “It was so cool! We named him Bolt, and he has super speed! Even faster than Iida!”
“You fused together?” Shouto asked, tilting his head in thought. Denki nodded, and went on trying to explain how it felt to fuse with Izuku while Izuku looked sheepishly at Aizawa.
While Shouta was happy that Izuku was making more friends, it seemed he might have trouble turning his quirk off when he touched people. Perhaps he could rope Denki into quirk training with them, the hero thought Denki already needed help on his own quirk anyways. “Super speed?” Aizawa raised an eyebrow. Izuku glanced over at Uraraka, who had just calmed down.
“They ran into the wall!” Uraraka burst out, giggling again.
“It was an accident! We just tried to take a step forward and then all of a sudden there was a wall!” Izuku groaned, covering his face in embarrassment. “I didn’t even mean to fuse, Denki was just about to fall off his chair and I just grabbed his hand and poof!” Izuku said, mimicking the poof with his hands. “I didn’t mean to.”
“I’m not worried about it,”Aizawa sighed, coming closer to rest a hand on his shoulder. “But maybe we should get you some gloves so it doesn’t happen in the classroom. You’ll have to train more so you’ll be able to only fuse when you want to.”
Izuku nodded, thinking. Uraraka bounced in excitement,”Does that mean Denki can join training?”
“If he wants to,”Aizawa nodded. At that, the other three boys turned to look at Shouta.
“Training?” Denki bounced with excitement, nose still a bit red. Beside him, Shinsou frowned.
“Izuku discovered his quirk during the entrance exam, so he’s having mandatory quirk counseling that doubles as training for anyone who is there to assist him. Because his quirk is so selective, the only person Izuku’s been able to practice with is Ochako and myself,”Aizawa stated. “You three are welcome to join.”
“Yes! More test subjects!” Ochako cheered, and the boys gave her a wary look.
“Will we have to have Izuku use his quirk on us if we come?” Shouto asked hesitantly, and Aizawa shook his head.
“You can try fusing with Izuku if you want to, but we’ll have other combat training in addition. Both are optional,”Shouta said. Todoroki and Denki seemed to brighten at the prospect of fusing with Izuku, while Shinsou had the opposite effect. “I’ll send you all the training schedule if you’d like to come.”
“Oh! Give me your numbers!” Ochako exclaimed, and Denki rushed to bring out his phone while Shouto and Shinsou did so a bit more slowly. “I made a group chat with all of us.” She explained, texting something on her phone. Izuku looked over to see her adding funny profile pictures to everyone’s numbers.
“Alright, now go home. You have school tomorrow and I doubt you want to be tired during your first heroics training,”Aizawa grumbled, making his way to his desk and packing up his things.
“Right!” Denki startled and got his backpack with the other kids. “You guys want to walk to the bus stop together?”
“Ah, Aizawa’s driving Ochako and I home,”Izuku stammered, hooking his backpack over his shoulder. The classroom went silent as the others looked at him and Uraraka.
“Dude, are you in trouble?” Denki whispered loudly.
“Aizawa’s Izuku’s dad, silly!” Uraraka blurted, and Aizawa resisted the urge to facepalm. Izuku hid in his arms in the meantime.
“Uraraka! He’s not- we’re not- I mean, it’s-,”Izuku stammered to explain, until Denki patted him on the back.
“No worries dude, we won’t tell anyone!” Denki reassured. “Heroes have to keep their families safe by hiding it, right?”
“I knew you were related,”Todorok nodded solemnly, making Izuku’s face even redder and Uraraka started laughing.
“If any of you need a ride home you can come with,”Aizawa called out. “If not, we’re leaving.”
The kids all protested riding with their teacher, but Shinsou stared for an uncomfortably long time before getting dragged to the bus stop by Denki, Todoroki trailing behind like a lost puppy. When they were all out of the classroom, Aizawa gave Ochako a look.
“What?” She shrugged mischievously. “I didn’t lie.”
Izuku’s face remained beet red as he hid behind his bangs. Shouta, meanwhile, did not dignify it with a response, only mentioning that she’d have to run extra laps the next day.
The three of them picked up Hizashi at the teacher’s lounge and made their way to the car. The whole time Izuku and Uraraka told Hizashi everything about the quirk apprehension test as Zura, the new friends they met, and fusing with Denki. “Already? Wow kiddo, you’re making friends faster than Uraraka eats mochi!” Hizashi exclaimed, and Uraraka squawked in protest. “How did it feel? Is Denki joining us for training now?”
“It felt.. Fast. Our quirk was super speed, and it felt like we had soo much energy! Like I drank 10 cups of coffee,” Izuku explained, waving his hands in explanation. “And Denki’s really nice! I’m not really.. I’m not really sure why but it just feels a lot easier to fuse with people now, I don’t even mean to do it most of the time. I guess it’s cause no one wanted to be my friend before though, right?” Izuku asked, and the nonchalant way he said it broke everyone in the car’s hearts.
“Sweetie no,”Hizashi comforted. “You just hadn’t met the right people before us! Which just makes these new friendships even more special, considering finding the right friend can take forever!”
“Yeah!”Ochako nodded. “Just look at Aizawa, he only has like three friends and he’s got a quirk.” She said, making Hizashi snort. Aizawa gave her a betrayed look, resolutely making plans for the next training. He wondered why he ever thought having kids was a good idea. He’d like to return that one please.
“I guess,”Izuku laughed. “What’s with the group chat though? I’ve never been in one before.”
“Oh! I’ll show you,”Ochako perked up, leaning over with her phone. “Everyone gets fun usernames, mine is Uravity. I set up everyone else’s too, but they can be changed. Yours is Broccoli.” Izuku made a face at that and Hizashi let out a laugh from the front. “Shinsou is The BFG because he’s the tallest. Uh, Kaminari is Pikachu, and Shouto is Peppermint.”
Izuku hummed as she explained that they could chat all together or send memes, which Kaminari was already doing. He read a few messages until they got home, both kids amusing themselves with the conspiracies Denki and Shouto were trading back and forth. Shinsou only fueled their debate by adding on more and more ridiculous theories for them to debate.
When they got home, Shouta and Izuku made dinner while Hizashi taught Uraraka how to play a game involving dice. After dinner Ochako stayed the night, and they cajoled Hizashi into doing the same. He already had clothes at the house to stay over, and much to Izuku and Ochako’s satisfaction, the coach remained empty throughout the night. They’d gone to bed a bit early, but stayed up on their phones a bit to chat with the group chat. Apparently, Aizawa had to go to the school early in the morning, so they decided to all arrive early to train. Denki and Shouto were the most excited to get Izuku to use his quirk on them, and came up with a fusion conspiracy board. They’d fill out fusions of the whole class as the year went on, but so far the only ones on the chart was Izuku, Denki, and Ochaco. Shouto theorized that if Izuku fused with him their quirk would be some kind of weather quirk. Denki was sure it would turn them into a lava/ice monster.
It was fun to just talk about anything with friends, and Izuku may have cried a little bit. Ochaco may or may not have heard him and cuddled him to death all night, but no one needed to know. He was just so happy to have friends.
--------------------------------
Meanwhile, Aizawa started looking into Bakugo’s past while the kids went to bed. He told Hizashi everything that had happened, and his suspicions. Hizashi ended up helping him gain access to Aldera’s security cameras while Aizawa requested a meeting with the Bakugo’s before school and let Nedzu know of the situation.
An hour later and the two pros were absolutely livid. Watching Izuku get bullied and burned and suicide-baited daily by students and teachers alike through the cameras made Shoua want to pull out his hair or cry. He was already compiling the evidence for both Nedzu and Tsukauchi.
Guaranteed, Bakugo would no longer be at UA after tomorrow, and Aizawa didn’t feel bad about it at all. That kind of quirkist behavior not only to Izuku, but to other kids with ‘weak’ quirks was unacceptable and unbecoming of a hero. Aizawa had to calm Hizashi down and prevent him from barging into Izuku’s room for hugs, considering it was late at night and the kids were asleep. Hizashi still demanded to be apart of the meeting, but conceded when Aizawa mentioned he’d need someone to watch the kids.
Aizawa had no doubt Nedzu was coming up with a suitable punishment for the boy, and he was just glad to get a bully out of his class. No one was hurting Aizawa’s son on his watch.

Hc for Himiko and Momo as sisters? (similar to Dabi/Momo and Dabi/Himiko as siblings because Momo joined tlov!) BNHA is starved for more well-developed female relationships that aren't antagonistic! 🥰
OOOOOOH TYSM FOR THIS BECAUSE I ACTUALLY DID FINALLY COME UP WITH A FEW!!!
Momo is pastel punk and kidcore,Himiko is scene punk with goth elements
Momo was put off by Himiko when they first met, this being before her radicalization as Dabi took her to the Lov base for vigilante mission reasons and Himiko was so energetic for a potential girl friend she spooked her
Thankfully this gets resolved quickly as she voices this and Himiko feels bad, explaining why and Momo forgives her and offers her a cupcake she made that she gladly devours
Himiko trains Momo is more lethal attacks like Dabi does
And Momo teaches her normal teenage things like Mina and Jirou did her as a beautiful cycle
They're Persephone(Momo)and Aphrodite(Himiko)coded
Himiko is blasian too but not latina, rather half african-american so her and Momo teach eachother about their cultures and bond over the similarities
Watch cartoons together, share clothes and make food for eachother
Togachako and Todomomo are canon to this verse so they're eachothers wingwomen.Momo helps Himiko be healthier with her live for Ochako and Himiko gives Momo crazy ass advice on how to woo Shouto that actually works because Shouto's a freak too(/complimentary,/autistic and /transgender)
Please imagine Himiko with Harley Quinn hair(as in cotton candy colors dyed)and Momo with Atsv!Gwen Stacy hait(as in side shave with pink dye but long instead of short)
Himiko claims she 'adopted' Momo as her sister and well, she ain't wrong!!
Bully Dabi together as is their younger sisters duty
They're like two Mabel Pines but one of them(Momo)has Dipper anxiety
Slasher and Final Girl friendship-coded
Himiko gets Momo to love soul food,Momo gets Himiko to love mexican and dominican food
Tons of pictures together
Trauma bonding over shit parents and Himiko actually plans an assasination on Momo's before she convinces her not to
Their title is 'Red Velvet Sisters'

Hello Andy darling~~ I think you must've already heard about the tumblr selling posts to ai business and also about how changing the settings to prevent your blog data from being scraped is not that effective since they did an initial data scrape anyways... I don't wanna pressure or wrangle any answers out of you love but I was wondering what you are planning to do with your blog now?? Are your fics gonna be on ao3 now? No matter what you decide to do or what platform you chose we will always support and love you regardless. It's understandable if you won't post on tumblr anymore so as to not want your lovely fics scrapped by crappy ai. Also I was wondering what it meant for the Shouto collab you were planning to do later this year? I don't write but I was thinking of participating for our angel princess man :<
Ohh mannnn :((( This situation really sucks huh? >:((((
Hello my love!! I plan to stick around and publish fic on here still, at least until we know more!!!
You're correct though; by my understanding, Tumblr has already done a data dump of any public-facing Tumblr posts onto OpenAI, so there's not much we can do about that. Me leaving would not pull my work back out of their LLM, so I don't see a point in leaving for that reason!!
It's also highly probable that before this data dump, all of our fics would have made it into ChatGPT anyway through Common Crawl, which is confirmed to have scraped Tumblr and ao3 in 2022-2023 (and likely prior); Common Crawl is one of datasets OpenAI has said ChatGPT is trained on. I've been peripherally aware of that fact, and it's unfortunately one of the risks of putting anything on the internet these days (even your personal Google Docs content is not safe). That's just another reason I am not especially motivated to boogie out of here just yet; this is already a sort of evil most of us have accepted lol.
Going forward, there is thankfully that "prevent third party sharing option," which, if Tumblr are not being opaque little weenies about it, should stop any future fics being fed into ChatGPT or any of OpenAI's other models. So with that safety mechanism in place, I do plan to keep publishing fic here, at least for the foreseeable future!!
No worries if you'd rather not participate in the Shouto collab given the circumstances, but I will be here thirsting away, and I hope you will join me!!!

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐢 𝐱 𝐆𝐍!𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 - 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐀 𝐆𝐨𝐝
Tumblr media
You wake up to a bright light, and at first your heart races. It's not so great to have no memory of falling asleep and then be greeted with the sight of Jesus. You don't want to go into the light! Living is nice!
Thankfully, after a few seconds of panic and confusion, your eyes adjust to the light and the background comes into view, giving you the lovely scenery of the plain, white hospital ceiling. Of course.
How could your heart race if you were dead, stupid?
Slowly, your memory comes back to you, and your heart sinks when you realize that you were struck down mid-battle. How long has it been? Surely the fight is over by now, right? Is Shouto okay?! God, you must've been hit right in front of him, how is he doing?
As you get your bearings, your eyelids shutting and opening again slowly, trying desperately to get rid of what you know is an oncoming headache, Shouto is knocked out of his anxious trance from his spot next to you.
Had he known just how vulnerable you were to this villain because your quirk was weak to theirs, he would've given the mission to someone else. It's not his job to assign certain heroes to certain missions based on their quirks, all he can do is use his own effectively. You don't send a telepath to lift a building off of a kid, you send a more compatible hero to do that, and the telepath can use the full capacity of their quirk to, say, sniff out a spy. Obviously someone will be fired for slipping up enough to nearly cost a hero their life because of a paperwork error.
Shouto was seething with anger fueled by fear, so he didn't quite realise that you had woken up until the heart monitor had started to speed up, yanking him from his thoughts.
It's not his fault, but he sure feels like he's to blame. He was just a second too slow to push you put of the way, and you had suffered the consequences because of it.
The villain had barraged straight into you, knocking you unconscious and causing your head to collide straight into the concrete beneath you. He'd almost never felt this anger in his life.
The fight was over quickly after that, because he was far too angry to hold back, and far too concerned for you to waste time. The villain was crushed and left just barely alive by a boulder of glistening ice, reflecting the surroundings of the torn up street like a massive, fatal, disco ball, and the resounding 'crack' of the giant glacier left the ground shaking, and the sidewalk shattered.
Of course, he rushed to your side to get you to a hospital as soon as possible, and the rest is history.
As you look around, blinking the sleep from your eyes and groaning at the panging pain resonating through your skull, you finally tilt your head enough to see a worried Shouto looking straight at you. He looks tired, but relieved and less tense than he probably was before you woke up. You have to admit, it's nice having him be the first thing you see upon waking up.
"Are you feeling alright?"
He was never really one for per names. He'd always been too bashful or embarrassed. That never stopped you, though.
"'M perfectly fine, babe, can I just get some water?"
He grants you a small smile before getting up to get you a fresh cup of water, and immediately you can tell something's wrong. Obviously you have to interrogate him when he gets back.
"What's up? Something on your mind?..."
He hesitated, and his words get caught in his throat, forcing him to clear it before averting his eyes from you. That. It's shame. He's the worst liar, and you quietly thank God.
"It's not your fault, you know?"
You tilt your head forward, a hopeful smile weakly stretching your lips as a few strands of hair fall from where they were resting loosely slung over your shoulder. There's bandages wrapping around your forehead to deal with the injury on your head and each time he spares a glance to your eyes it serves as a reminder of how he couldn't protect you. His heart aches at the thought that he might not be enough for you. Not enough to even to keep you safe.
His eyes widen in surprise, however, when he finds himself pulled into your embrace, and he rests his head against the crook between your shoulder and your neck, hiding the tears that refuse to fall below his waterline.
"It's not your fault. You're a hero, and a damn good one, but you're not a God. All you can do is try to get the best chances of winning the fight. That's why I was there. But you're not responsible for me, babe. I'm a hero too, and I messed up. You can't always expect yourself to cover for my mistakes..."
"-But I could've--"
"It is not. Your. Fault."
He knows better than to argue.

You were being followed.
This man had been following you ever since the moment he saw you and your friend in a clothing store in the mall. At first, it seemed like it was just a coincidence, but you started getting concerned when every time you looked behind you, he was there.
When you brought it up to your friend, she suggested that you try and lose him by ducking and diving between other stores and crowds. Unfortunately, he was relentless. Regardless of how thick the crowd was or how densely packed a store was, he always managed to stay in your peripheral.
After playing a very annoying game of Cat and Mouse, your friend got a call from her mother telling her that she needed to get home. You knew that she couldn’t argue with her, so you forced her to leave first. You guided her back to the entrance, aware of the man still following you, then watched as she disappeared in a sea of people.
Both unfortunately and thankfully, he persisted you.
Once you were sure your friend had caught her train and was halfway home, you finally decided to leave. The train station was thankfully packed, so you were able to get some sort of distance.
Your eyes scanned the platform, spotting a boy around your age with two toned hair completely absorbed in his phone. As calmly as possible, you walked up to him and grabbed his empty hand. When he went to pull away, you glanced up at him through your lashes, whispering:
“Please just hold my hand, someone has been following me for a long time now.”
His hand was loose in your hold for a moment as he registered what you said.
“Who is it?” He asked, looking down at you with dark and light heterochromia eyes.
“That man in the dark green hoodie.” He glanced back, then pulled you in front of him.
“What’s your name?” You told him, “My name is Todoroki Shouto. Call me Shouto.”
“Okay, Shouto” You were silent for a moment, “Sorry about this.”
“It’s fine.”
The train arrived shortly after and the two of you were able to snag a seat in a fairly crowded car.
The stalker sat right across from you.
The silence was killing you, but you couldn’t play a game of 20 Questions with the man sitting directly in front of you. You bit your lip, squeezing Shouto’s hand subconsciously as if to say, “Talk to me.”
“What’s in the bag?”
Your eyes lit up by a fraction, “We went to that new clothing store—” You told him, making sure to not mention your friend’s name. You dug through the bag for a moment before presenting him the shirt. “Look at how cute this shirt is!”
You spent the rest of the ride talking to Shouto. He was really sweet, and thankfully he kept you distracted from the creep. When it was time for you to get off, Shouto grabbed your bags and led you off the train and into the chilly night.
He. Still. Followed.
Shouto picked up the pace, hand tightly gripping yours.
“This guy is relentless.” He hissed as he side-stepped into an alley, causing you to ungracefully tumble into him. He quickly pulled you behind him, that warm hand still gripping yours.
You sneezed. It was suddenly freezing.
“Why are you following us?” Shouto’s voice was firm and unweaving.
You looked up, gasping at the scene before you. Shouto had froze the man in his tracks. The stalker tried to break free with his own quirk, but Shouto just kept freezing him.
“I asked you a question.” The man looked up. He was obviously scared, but he had the audacity to answer him with a disgustingly smug grin.
“I wasn’t doin’ nothing,” he shrugged, “we just happened to be going the—” He shut when a sharp piece of ice was aimed at his throat.
He looked down at you and whispered, “How far is your house from here?”
“Not far.”
“Good,” He froze the man completely, “Let’s go.”
You led him the rest of the way to your house. He asked you if he could search your apartment before leaving, and you hesitantly allowed him. Thankfully, though, he didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.
“Thank you so much for helping me.” You gave him a bright smile despite your fidgeting hands.
“No problem. Can you unlock your phone for me?” You raised a brow, but did as he asked, then placed it into his open hand. He messed with it for a few seconds before giving it back.
“I gave you my number. Call me if something like this happens again… or whenever.” He left you standing there stupidly, gazing at the door across from you. When you regained your sense, you closed the door.
Turning around, you gazed at your phone, just staring at the newly added contact. You let your back hit the door and slid down to the floor. Dropping your phone into your lap, you instead placed your flushed face into your hands.
“What just happened?”

I’m going to strangle Mimi - I brought up the "Dabi can breathe fire safely" and I joked about that becoming his go to, because it’s the least harmful to him, and then she brought up Hisashi and Shoto's conspiracy theories, and now I'm just picturing a sleep deprived Shouto calling Touya/Endeavour at two in the morning like, "please tell me you didn’t have a torrid one night stand at some point, I don’t want to be dating my nephew/brother."
Thankfully Toya isn't old enough so he can be crossed off the list pretty quickly.
Enji is on thin fucking ice but depending on where you're going (because I know you don't like him) he can either say no affairs or at least no affairs with Izuku's mom.
Might want to check on if Enji has any siblings/cousins but ya know.
Don't worry Shoto even if Izuku is a cousin just say you take after your mom's side of the family
