what’s your current wip(s) about?

ok so I'm in the HEAT of this current fic I'm writing rn (like I only have one scene left) and guys :) im really excited abt it :)

it's a little birthday present for one of my best friends ever, Em ( @/redrattlers ) (and im not tagging her so she doesn't see this so NOBODY TELL HER), so I can't tell you too much about it lest she discover my secret evil plans but !! ive had a lot of fun writing it so I'm excited to share !! <3

13. What makes you feel most “at home”? What types of sights, sounds, smells, etc. remind you of your kintype and put you at ease?

I already answered relating to my monstrous types, so in this one I will outline more on my robotkin side!

Generally any technology makes me feel home. Be it a phone, a laptop, a pc, or something outdated, like a casette player, all pieces like that make me feel familiarity towards them. Like we are distant cousins.

I love the sound of machinery whirring, clicking and clacking, all that stuff, especially the fans of my laptop. It's like a reminder they are there, in a companionship way. I feel kinship with all sorts of glitches and static stuff, especially those you can explicitly see or hear!

8. What symbols, phrases, or concepts are important/resonant with you due to your kintypes? How long did you associate with these things before realizing the reason?

I have strongly associated with the general motives of religion and divinity both irl and in fiction for a veeery long time, like pre-teens long. I have always greatly resonated with robots of all sorts, seeing myself in them due to undiagnosed, at that time, autism, what has grown into a psychological kintype.

I have felt a big connection to one symbol that I felt was representative of my God ever since I saw it for the first time, but I will not share what symbol it is for personal reasons ;)) I saw it generally around being 11-12 years old and would almost compulsively draw it as a way of worshipping Her in some situations.

As (questioning? Kinfirmed? Not sure) concept dreadkin it goes without saying that overall horror and fear are a big part of what I identify as. I was drawn to horror media for a veerry long time, way before I realized any of my kintypes. Watching and reading horror media in my teens, as well as generally introducing cosmic horror elements in my play as a kid was a given.

2. What kind of shifts do you normally get (phantom, mental, dream, sensory, etc.)? How long had you been getting shifts before taking up the otherkin label?

I normally get phantom shifts for my angel and xeno' kintype. I generally regard myself as an otherkin version of suntherian/contherian stuff, as my kintypes are mentally permament in me, they just fluctuate in strength and 'type. Like I'm permamently mentally shifted in at least some direction, so sometimes I may have trouble with differentiating which 'type I currently am shifted to.

I actually recall quite vividly that I was having phantom shifts as a kid, like ~12, ~11 years old, maybe earlier, I have bad memory regarding my childhood. It was always big wings and a tail swishing from side to side as I was walking to and back from school :D

These two didn't pass but I got some new ones since then.

wow been a while since i've met a new person who's also into those weird echidnas of those knuckles comics I love your art of them! nice to see new stuff of them after a long time of it being pretty barren-

Yo I did not realize that there was a little community that also liked those weird little dudes!

I used to read the comics back when I was in high school and like I wasn’t huge knuckles fan but I grew really fascinated with how much lore his family line had. All the drama, family feuds, echidna weirdness, I ate that shit up like breakfast. And Lien-da holy shit Lien-da just her like..liek..oof I won’t even get into that rn. I would even say that it’s those comics that really got me into drawing and posting my art on DeviantArt all those years ago, back when I was a wee lad with a sonic ripoff oc and ms paint drawing bases. (I could possibly dig up some of those old drawings actually…hmm maybe later)

You can imagine my heartache when I came to revisit these old comics and characters recently only to learn about the whole Ken Pender’s shit. It wasn’t until I went digging for fan art of these characters and reading about them that I realized that there’s still people creating art and stories of them, and they were still actively posting on this niche little corner of the internet. So then my two brain cells got together and were like “yo you’re an artist why don’t you just like draw them..like how you used to back in the day??”. So now I’m here of all places creating fan art of my faves and feeling nostalgic about it hehe.

I’m really glad that you like my artwork and I can only hope that it makes that wasteland less barren 🥰

2. Who is your favorite antagonist? (Pagan, Paul or Yuma?). Who is your least favorite?

i feel fc4 did kinda bad with the antagonists cus?? i do not fear them at all? they're just There. sure i hear bad things about them but i barely interacted with them or feel the effects of their 'vile actions' myself so i was just meh with all of them. i guess if i had to choose from that list, my fav would be pagan, just cus he calls you so you know what he's doing + his personality the best. my least would be paul cus whether he lives or dies really doesn't affect the story at all in ajay's case. ajay maayyybe still had beef with yuma for throwing him in durgesh, what does paul bring to the table?

3. Opinion on the Golden Path

i don't think the golden path are 'the evil ones' like how some people paint them to be, but i guess it's cus i see them through a very specific set of headcanons lmao

most of the golden path members weren't huge war enthusiasts or anything, they're just locals who used to be farmers, who lost their land and decided to try and fight to get it back, or people who lost family members and wanted to get revenge. it was mentioned in canon that at least some members aren't exactly big on either amita's/sabal's vision for kyrat and even take their own initiative to fund the golden path and save their heritage.

they're just kinda stuck in a bad situation, where they can either wait until the royal army kill them or join a rebel group to fight back the people who've been opressing their country... that's unfortunately led by 2 idiots.

(i think this is also why so many of them were so eager and friendly with ajay because they were probably hoping he'd be a third and better option)

Arial or Times New Roman. Arial is the setting and Times is a holdover from school.

I think I would. I do half of my planning on paper anyway, with a pen.

I listen to music while I write, music with lyrics, always. I always have to sit at a flat surface, in a good chair. Most the time I have my cardigan and fan both on. why is it cursed? probably the lyrics thing. no, it doesn't distract me. i have adhd, i need a lot of input to focus.

To be honest, none come to mind, in a good way or in a bad way.

Wait so how do you know for sure the sprite is Ralsei? No hate, I do believe you haha, but I too am a lore scientist and I wanna know your evidence. Does it show up in-game? I could definitely believe that I saw it in-game and forgot about it :P

YES. Finding legitimate sprites directly from Toby Fox games can be surprisingly difficult. There are so many fan-made character sprites, that it can be hard to differentiate from the real ones!

Guess how many are NOT fan-made? .....only one 🗿

Official Websites like Spriters Resource (Ralsei's Offical Sprite Sheet) are very helpful in this regard :)

They may even include unused file graphics. Like this unused face of Ralsei.

Sprite legitimacy is a big rabbit hole that I personally don't have enough knowlege on :( ((BUT OH MY GOSH The internet is notorious for reposting fan-spriteworks without sourcing. It can be really hard to find the original artist.))

It's also HILARIOUS how many people have redone Ralsei's sprite. It is quite obvious from my Ralsei poll and through his mass of fan-redesigns, that many people in the Deltarune community REALLY LOVE his Chapter 1 sprite more.

Ralsei sprite fan-art is amazing and I personally want to mod it into my game bc it looks so good. Below I have some really cool fan-sprites I found and the artists who made them!

The Magnes are humans! ^v^ That's what makes it so funny to me because they don't suspect anything, but Vaggie and Alastor can immediately sense the other's a demon/ an angel in disguise. Still, they can't be openly hostile to each other unless they want their chosen human to suddenly question why they're fighting beyond just the usual "my (daughter) charge is too good for YOU to date. Piss off." And "I do what I want, old man!" But that's NOT the main focus of this AU and we'll need some more world building to reach it, but trust me. It's going to be so, SO much FUN! Source?
