bro about a year ago you did something that mildly upset me and at the time i was writing a harry styles fic with a cliche mean/bigoted girl who needed a name so i called her brenna to cope, i guess? then it became a tradition like if i ever wrote smth that needed a mean girl i would use that name, sometimes i’d throw in that she’s american or has blonde hair or whatever. then i stopped writing for H and moved on to a tv show fandom but kept using the name and it’s gotten to a point where my readers have asked if brenna was a character in the show that they missed LMFAO my next goals are 1 get brenna on the fandom wiki despite not being canon at all and 2 have someone else include brenna in their work to extend the brenna cinematic universe (bcu). no i don’t remember what you did to upset me and yes i will continue doing this as long as i’m writing

Oh it pisses me off so bad when people say things like you bring flags to Louis' shows because you think he's gay and married to Harry, just because he's part of your fantasy bla bla bla

Little shut the fuck up, I'm freaking 20 years old and my Louis' show was the first time I held a pride flag and I held it up almost the whole show because I knew I wasn't going to be able to do it for god knows how long after that

And it felt so good, so liberating to be finally seen with a clear queer symbol.

I didn't even bring my own flag because I wasn't able to buy it before the show and people were giving them away for all to be seen, literally everyone brought more flags for others, like, I felt so safe in that moment, it's printed in my mind lol... And now that flag is hidden at the bottom of a box, but at least it's there and it holds just so much hope for me

So yeah, I'm glad to show Louis my support and show him that he's seen, but it wasn't about him and I think he knows that the flags, the lights aren't just for him but there's something way bigger, deeper going on and if me waving a flag can also be a sign of gratitude towards him I'll simply never stop doing it at his shows

(I’m the time travel au anon) It’s sort of like a bottle episode type of thing so I haven’t really given any thought to what paul does when he goes back to his own time period. He definitely leaves wanting to change things since john intentionally leaves out any mention of linda or the kids while also laying it on thick that him and paul are estranged now. The whole idea of a young version of paul being plopped in new york with 70s john and naively assuming that he must live in ny too because the thought that they aren’t together anymore is so inconceivable and then being crushed with the reality is so good. This whole thing started out as a a plot device for them to fuck and yet…

Listen, how often do I want a simple little day dream to help me drift off, only to be caught in a loop of ensuring the logic makes sense. But. Anyway.

Oh, that is so sad. But that’s the delicious part of sending young versions into the future: crushing their hopes and enthusiasm. Just the awful realisation that they got everything they could have ever hoped for. But there was a coast and, are they willing to pay it? Love that sort awful question.

But! Also! I would want whoever it is to reinspire the excitement and joy in the older version of whoever they meet. Just ask innocently enough, “Why did you give it up? What was so important that you stopped fighting for us?”

I am still considering how I’d write mine, but it’s so hard to figure out how Paul would react to anything. The joy of it being Paul travelling is that John would 100% believe him, lol.

Yeah, this sounds great. I note you did miss the deadline for the 30k to be on my desk. But, I forgive you. I’ve extended the deadline to the end of next week. I am truly benevolent.

letting celebrities think they can and should "use their platform" to speak on all current events and political issues regardless of how educated they are on them was a grave mistake

#i honestly think that's why half of these celebrities are just sharing around these same few wishy washy unhelpful statements #at this point it's a relief when i open an instagram story and it's just a celebrity posting about their regular stuff #like good thank you feel free to just be quiet #or just share some fundraising links if you feel a need to be helpful #but like ultimately if you have a platform of many thousands/millions #then frankly it is your responsibility to make sure what you are sharing is accurate and useful #and not just posting for the sake of posting #but instead somehow we're at the point where the more followers you have the more you are expected to just post something anything #talking

Inspiration struck! Imagine some dark, gritty movie where Cody plays a bouncer at a rather seedy club, where some not so legal things happen. But he has to do this job, because it pays well, and he has a little girl to take care of by himself since her mother either left them or died/was murdered.

I wish I could write this, but I can't write for shit.

Wow. I love every bit of this. I am such a sucker for dad!Cody so this is right up my alley. I always picture him as a girl dad that would do anything for his little princess.

This would make such a good drama TV show that I would binge. If I could write, I would write the shit out of this for you. My brain stops after a couple paragraphs and what I do put down isn’t very captivating but if anything pops in my mind for this, I’ll write a blurb. I really do love this though. In another universe I could totally see Cody living out this life.

god I'm so fucking furious at the removal of Te Reo Māori names from organisations around Aotearoa. it's a complete non-issue, every organisation has the English name directly underneath the Māori name. I have never once as an English speaker been unable to understand what an organisation is for. Winston Peters, the Deputy Prime Minister, who is literally Māori himself, said “Te Papa is a historic name but tell me this waka kotahi, how many boats have you seen going down the road?”. Waka does not just mean canoe. it means vessel, and waka kotahi (the transport agency of Aotearoa) explains this VERY SIMPLY on their official website. waka kotahi means to travel together as one. Can you see how fucking upsetting this is. A Māori person in power who is in agreement about banning his own language, being so cocky about something that he does not even understand due to the suppression of the language of his people. It makes me sick. I've seen reports from Māori people all over Aotearoa speaking out about how upset and furious they are, how decades of progress have been undone in the fight to restore the rights of their people who have for so long been oppressed and have suffered the effects of colonisation. Please share this if you can, I hate knowing how few people will hear about this, I know there is so much injustice in the world right now and it is so exhausting, I know. I love you all, keep it up.
