a life update from me — i’ve been having the time of my life (minus some burnout from work but we won’t talk about that because it still pays the bills very well and then some), and i have long trips to japan with my friend and to australia to visit ti and steph coming up 💕 i have a fun work trip and a keshi concert with my friends including moon next month !! and i have two music festivals lined up for the summer already !!! dpr is coming to hitc nyc and i’m so sad that i’ll be out of the country when it happens but fingers crossed they come for the LA one ! and my friend just texted me a couple days ago about another music festival she randomly got tickets to so vegas here we gooo 🥳 and possibly a second vegas trip too that my other friend brought up today ??? also the usual weekend trips to LA, of course 🤩 omg and i saw jisoo irl up close at their concert and she is beautiful, and i can’t wait for her solo 🥹🫶🏻🫶🏻 and i’m currently blonde 🤧 my hair is really going through it like i first dyed it all lavender, then silver, then blonde, then i chopped it mid length and dyed it pink, then pastel pink, now it’s blonde, and it’ll be rose gold in two weeks !!! also i made like $5k from my investments and stocks, and i’m so incredibly proud of myself even though i know it’s not much compared to others :’) and i bought a chanel bag to celebrate my career milestone when i was promoted last year and got a big raise and bonus !!!! 🥳 i found the one i wanted after checking shops over the span of five months in like 8 cities and 5 countries djjdjkskd OH and i still hang out with els and she is still very much in l*ve with taeyong and jaehyun 💞 also blind boxes, specifically sanrio ones, have taken a chokehold on me thanks to els, and i’m still playing genshin so gacha addiction go brrr

essentially i feel like el's hair is very obviously a metaphor for her relationship with herself and her autonomy like. yk sHE chose to have her longer hair and she liked it and she had the byers bowlcut reflecting how she was taken in by them as part of their family now and how that was a big part of her identity at the time in cali esp since she lost hopper and hawkins etc. and the bullies were throwing spitballs in her hair aka spitting on her authentic self and then it was forcibly removed by her abuser and she was paralleled to her younger self who had a shaved head and was in the midst of her trauma which like. so many implications of that. but anyway by the end her being more comfortable with her hair shows how she sort of resolved her trauma within herself and you can see the way that hopper holds her head like 🥺🥺💕💕 he sees the trauma but also still sees that it’s still her and and and-

anyways all to say i think she would love to grow out her hair again because it’s her choice and it’s a choice she was deprived of in childhood and and 😭😭 it’s symbolizing her having autonomy again and not that she needs long hair to love herself bc we definitely saw her grow from not thinking her without hair was pretty in s1 to by the end of s4 sort of growing into it and being more confident in her body bUT the point is it’s her choice and she loves herself either way and now gets to decide what she wants to do with her body because she finally has autonomy and control over her own body and dbshjsjdjwjwjw

🥺💕 thank you!!! I think my favorite early anime had a big influence on me, like Soul Eater, but also shows I liked a lot such as The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, El Tigre, Wakfu, and Daria. It’s sort of a weird mix, lol, but I think it sort of comes together.

Lately, I’ve gotten back into MySims so that art style has been rotting my brains. I have a private pinterest board that I throw anything I really like immediately, I have it separated by line work and coloring etc for when I do studies later.

I remember in 2020 with the whole fiasco of yoongi’s d-2 he was the producer who did no research whatsoever and imported that audio of jim jones sermon onto “what do you think” which was already very disgusting and ignorant behavior, but then he also never took accountability and only yoongi/bighit apologized? As they should though. But I remember all the outrage on that and the hate yoongi got, so I’m confused on how he’s now a beloved person?

I get him and yoongi are friends, but we shouldn’t always be so quick to encourage or “like” every interaction they have with people, like that action was very ignorant and especially in 2020 when racial awareness was at its peak, and he never even acknowledged it? I’m sorry I’m just rambling, but why as armys are we quick to forget these peoples wrongdoings just because of their proximity to bts?

Headcanons about 2p spain during his conquistador era please and thank you 🥺😘💕

Armando was at the forefront of the era. As the 2p it was a part of his responsibilities to go out and secure resources like the land. He gladly went about doing so. Though his main job, once the land was secured, was to destroy any and all rebellion.

 This was the time period when both Armando and Antonio (1p) got along the best. Both men were active in the acts of conquest and chaos. Laughs and jokes were consistently exchanged as the sunset for the last time on their victims. Cruel challenges were kicked around like footballs. By the era’s end, Armando pulled away from Antonio, mostly due to his refusal to become as docile as he became.

Many of the members of Armando’s crew wore heavy armor with big helmets. Armando chose to wear all of it, but the hat. He didn’t like how it felt on his head, nor how it could on occasion block his vision. Like the cocky fool he is the Spaniard threw it to the side and went to battle with a vulnerable head. The lack of precaution caused him to take an arrow to the head and knocked him out for the entire battle.

If Antonio hadn’t shown up during the aftermath, Armando would have been prepared for burial and left 6ft under. Which would have gotten him grounded for a time. 

El Dorado was an interest to Armando. Unlike most though, he didn’t obsess over it. The idea of finding it seemed like a tasty way to spite his bosses. After all, a big find would have cemented him in every fantasy and history book, forever.

Even though the era is long gone, his power over his former colonies isn’t what it once was. Armando still feels like he won. This is because a lot of their culture and traditions are from him. For him, that means even if he’s wiped off the map some part of him will always live on and those that he controlled will never be rid of him.

Elmax is definitely one of my faves. They’re a big reason why I enjoy s3, their dynamic is so fun and I love how Max supports El in finding her identity and independence! I also adore Lumax 🥺 my fav canon ship for sure. I need them on that movie date s5 or I will riot 😭. I think Byclair is really cute too! As for the older teens, Jancy are the sweetest thing ever (although part of me is hoping for single Nancy in s5) and I enjoy Ronance’s dynamic as well :)
