Good Omens Season 3 Confirmed (trailer)

jk jk but could you imagine if any of this happened

I told myself I wouldn't go crazy working on this and then I ended up with 5 spreadsheets of dialogue trying to piece together this puzzle. Also I will need everyone to cut me some slack because I made this entire video on my phone while I was manic.

On that note, this trailer is largely based on 2 of my favorite Good Omens fics: Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma: An Integrative Approach by @mouseonamoose and Factory Settings by Anonymous. I love the idea of Crowley and Aziraphale having a therapist and it always reminded me of the character Dr. Linda Martin who plays the devil's therapist in the series Lucifer (Based on characters created by Neil Gaiman!) Also I tried really hard to hint at different parts of the Factory Setting story through clips, especially with clips of Crowley grabbing his glasses (which in this case would be Raphael wearing Crowley's glasses, which is a pretty big plot point in the story).

Lots of the audio clips and dialogue comes from the show itself (and a few clips from Lucifer), but I did comb through some clips of other shows that the actors were in, like Michael Sheen in Passengers, and David Tennant in Inside Man, etc. However the longer audio clips of "god" speaking are direct quotes from the Factory Setting fic (although I am almost certain that Raphael says them when he gets the Book of Life, So technically speaking, these lines are used out of context). I just ran the lines through a text to voice generator and then added a "godly/celestial" effect to it, which worked a lot better than I though it was going to. I had LOTS of potential dialogue I could have used but it didn't all fit super well together in the sense that it didn't either sound like the character speaking, or it didn't flow like a normal conversation. Believe me I tried, my phone can only do so much.

The music choice was obviously chosen on purpose, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (Epic Mix) by Mark Petrie, for the purpose of pacing, I slowed it down slightly. I really liked the idea of using this song since the Factory Setting story partially revolves around "the second coming" baby and since we are nearing the Christmas season, it just seemed like sense to work on this now. The lyrics get pretty repetitive but I do wish I could have thrown in the "Fear not then, said the Angel. Let nothing you affright" verse somewhere in there.

Don't ask me to explain the actual plot of this I really just mashed two fanfics together and called it a day. I thinks that's all the notes I had.

Missa's deaths in ME (Minecraft Extremo)

(This was a 2 weeks series, he survived for 5 days until he lost his 3 lives, he survive with 1 life for 3 days.)

1st Death: Creeper (pushed him out the water and fell).

Missa, rubius and quackity were in a cave and quackity was messaging shadoune.

Shadoune: "Are you looking for caves?"

Quackity: "Looking for caves with rubius and missa"

Quackity: "Well with rubius"

2nd Death: Enderman (He didn't know that he shouldn't see the enderman).

The team was together

Rubius: "I'm going to try to kill this enderman"

2.5 Death: The admins put a zombie in missa's cage, but he lagged so it didn't count. (The admins can spawn mobs if the players are just chilling)

His teammates built a cage for missa to protect him when he was left with one life, he had an opening so he can fish.

They had already made a grave for him.

Spreen saw a clip of missa tanking zombies, eating a enchanted apple, saying that he did well (missa was so happy) so he gave him another one, he had that apple in his inventory but didn't use it. )8

Shadoune and Quackity made a homage, "MissaSinfonia 'The most crazy, ready to fight and badass'" (this is the closest I could think of a translation for that sign).

Shadoune: "Who are we gonna adopt now?"

Spreen: "No, we are not gonna adopt anyone, we adopt and then I am the one to suffer"

I didn't follow any specific tutorial, I've just made a quick little process after researching how other people on Tumblr make gifs. I can tell you how I do but I would definitely recommend following a tutorial of someone more qualified! lol

Aj's Guide To Sims Gifs

I am going to show you how I made this gif of Wednesday:

You'll need:

A screen recording program; Streamlabs, OBS Studio

Adobe Photoshop (FYI I am using the newest version).

The full tutorial is below the cut.

I promise it is easy, this tutorial is just long because I want to cover all bases, so if you have no idea what any of what I am saying means you can still follow along easily!

Lets get started!

1. Installing Your Recording Programs

You'll need to be able to record your game. Any streaming or screen recording program with work perfectly! I use Streamlabs because that's what I use for Twitch, but OBS Studio will work too! I've used them all, I recommend Streamlabs because it's more user-friendly.

2. Setting Up Your Recording Programs

You'll need to set up a scene in your streaming program that records your display or your game. In Streamlabs you go to the plus bottom beside sources and add either a Display Capture or a Game Capture, select your display or game. Is there a difference? Using game capture will remove any of your miscellaneous desktop UI and you won't have to crop it out later down the line. Despite that being pretty handy, I do display capture because I am difficult. lol If you have questions about this step feel free to send a ask, but I am going to skip over this to be able to go into more detail about the gif-making process.

3. Recording Your Scenes

Now you'll need to record your scenes in-game! I recommend doing this with ReShade or gshade. I use ReShade. Just make sure your lighting is how you like, the time of day is how you like, and have fun! Tip #1: Save your game before you start recording any scenes. Especially if you are recording gameplay, this will allow you to go back if you miss an animation or interaction. You'll be able to reload your game where you were and you can try to capture the moment again. Tip #2: Only record for 10-20 seconds at a time. Yes, you'll have a bunch of small recordings and that is what you want. You'll have to import those clips to Photoshop and if they are over 30 seconds they are going to strain your computer and be difficult to work with. Record animations just one time through, and re-record from different angles. This will let you pick from a variety of clips to get the gif you want. For 5-7 gifs I have 15-ish recordings that are about 10 seconds each, for reference. Tip #3: If you are alpha like me and are plagued by alpha hair vs. MXAO, just be intentional with the hair choices you make because you cannot edit the MXAO out later (I mean you can but it is a lot of fucking work). I have found updos are better at not having crazy MXAO spots. Or opt for using sims with darker hair.

4. Loading and Shortening Your Clip

Now, pick the first clip you'd like to convert to a gif. Go to File > Import > Import Videos To Frames and then select the video file for the clip. A window will appear that looks like this:

From here you are going to select the exact moment in your clip that you want to use. The two half-sliders underneath the timeline are your start and stop points. You want to move them to just encompass the moment you want to use. Try to cut it down as much as possible to just the moment you need, the longer the clip the more frames, the longer it will take to render and the harder it will be on your computer. You will know if your clip is too long with this pop-up:

5. Loading In Your Layers & Workspace

Your workspace should look like this!

You should see 100-200ish layers on the right side and a timeline on the bottom. If you do not see the layers on the right side go to Window > Layers, you should be able to see them after doing this. If you do not see a timeline on the bottom, go to Window > Timeline, you should be able to see it after doing this. If your timeline does not look like mine and rather like this:

Don't worry! That's totally fine! If you do want to change it click the three squares on the bottom left and it will show each individual frame.

6. Cropping and Resizing

You want to work with the smallest file possible so you can use the littlest amount of resources and have the smallest file size. This is, one, to reduce strain on your computer but also because Tumblr only allows gifs that are 10MB. We want to keep the gif as small as possible.

First, we are going to crop our gif! In my example, I need to crop out my computer UI. I think long gifs and square gifs look the best, so I am going to crop my long ways.

We also want to resize our gif to 540px. I know people get on me for resizing my screenshots to 540px but this is a MUST for gifs. If not they will be blurry. They are not like screenshots and portraits. In my crop settings, you'll see I have my set to 540px.

That makes the cropping resizing process quicker by killing two birds with one stone. Alternatively, you can crop as normal, and then resize to 540px afterward. I've done both and both get the same result! If your post will have two gifs side by side you'll want to crop your gifs to 268px.

If it takes Photoshop a little bit of time to crop the image, that is normal! Just requires some patience. The same goes for resizing. I've found sometimes resizing takes the longest.

7. Editing Your Gif

Technically your gif is done! If you don't intend on editing it you can export it and you're done! I like to do a little editing on my gifs.

To edit gifs you'll need to use non-destructive editing methods, ie. adjustment layers or smart objects but most likely adjustment layers. If you, for example, edit by going to Image > and then adjusting your image, you'd have to do that to all your layers. That's not viable. Instead, you'll want to make a group at the top of all your layers and place your adjustment layers in the group. You can make a group by clicking the folder icon at the bottom of your layers panel. You can create adjustment layers by clicking the half-shaded circle on the bottom of your layers panel.

BE CAREFUL! Make sure you are doing edits on layer 1, if you edit other random layers the edit will only apply to those layers. I've made this mistake a few too many times.

As for sharpening, this is when you'd use your sharpening action or sharpen it yourself. I am going to be using this sharpening action by insomniacgifs. I've used a handful but this is the one I like the most because it converts my layers into a smart object that lets me do more edits later (which I will show you).

All sharpening actions are different so make sure to read their instructions before you use them. Some sharpening actions have a layer limit so they will not work on longer gifs.

To start using insomniacgifs action I have to convert my layers to frames. They have an action for this. I select "Layer 1" and run their "Frames to Timeline" action.

Now my layers are in a smart object!

Smart objects are a non-destructive way to edit and something I recommend using with gifs and your edits. Smart objects also preserve the quality of your images despite you resizing and editing your image.

In regards to gifs, this allows me to use Camera Raw Filter and more heavily edit my gif! All I am going to do is open Camera Raw Filter and edit away! It will apply my edits to a layer attached to this smart object.

After I've done my edits, I will pick which level of sharpening I want to use from insomniacgifs action. I usually pick soft. I am going to press play on the "Soft" action. This does sometimes take a while to load. You may get a progress bar. Just be patient. This may take a few minutes.

Now that the Soft actions have finished, my gif is sharpened! I am extra and want to tweak my gif a little more. After finishing the Soft action all my layers will be in a "gif" folder. Remember how I mentioned before that to edit gifs you want to place a group above your layers and place your adjustment layers inside? I am going to do that now! It looks something like this:

8. Saving Your Gif

Now, finally, we can save! This is the easiest part! Go to File > Export > Export for The Web (Legacy). I window will open that looks like this:

In the top right, make sure the file type is set to GIF. Here you can play your gif and see it in action! Now, this is what I normally notice if I do not like the speed of the gif. It defaults to 0.06 seconds per frame. Sometimes I like this slow pace to get a dreamier gif but with this gif, it's too slow. I will show you how to fix it. Close this window and go to your timeline. Shift + Left-Click the first and last layers on the timeline. Right-click on the frame duration.

Now click other and change it to your desired duration. For me, that will be 0.03 seconds.

Now let's try to save again! This is the end result!

As promised here, I'm continuing a series of posts on NewJeans and why I think the group holds real potential. What I want to briefly talk about this time, is the quality of their music.

Not exactly sure how this is going to come across, but the truth is very few groups in k-pop give me a quality sonic experience. I mean, for a lot of groups, I get no joy from playing them out loud in my space. BTS is one group where the music is so dynamic, textured and layered... I know this probably sounds pretentious, but BTS's music is the perfect blend of cohesive + complex + simple to suit my taste. I enjoy sitting back in my living room, dimming the lights and drawing the blinds, to hear Dis-ease play over my Bowers & Wilkins 800 D4 speakers. It feels like an actual pleasure. I get this with BTS, nearly every time. There's a handful of other groups whose songs I sometimes feel this way about, but there's been no other group that consistently gets me this way lately more than NewJeans.

At least I'm pretty sure there's no other group that gets me to break out a subwoofer more than NewJeans, after BTS.

All their songs have such a deep and rich bass.

It's almost sickening. Listen, k-pop has done R&B for years. The sound isn't new to the industry by any means, but the way NewJeans does R&B you can tell whoever makes their shit, cette personne a eu le cœur brisé par une personne noire.

Take for example a song like ASAP. That moment the bass comes in at 0:40, during the chorus - it sounds heavenly on my speakers. The whole song feels kinda magical and odd, like Christmas in July, and I suspect one reason why is the chord progression which I recognize to follow that of many Christmas hymns... and the deep heavy bass.

You might not hear it right in this clip because of how Youtube compresses their sound, but I think one can still tell the pitch shifts slightly. The tweaky game-beat percussion that fills up the rest of the song feels disorienting but that's also the point. By the time the second chorus comes in, the contrast it creates feels like you're diving into a pool of cool water on a hot day. It's so good. It's like that weird genre-mix thing SM likes to do in their songs, but with NewJeans it's so much more effortless, weirder, and cooler.

All five girls have clean, clear vocals and very distinct vocal colours. One reason their music is so good, is because all their songs put an emphasis on their vocals. For example, listen to the pulled stems for Hurt.

The first 2 minutes and 50 seconds is pure acappella heaven, and then you realize it's placed in the center. The mix is so full and centered, it's perfect. The other stems in the video from 2:50 too are such a delight to listen to.

The sense of easy excellence is everywhere in NewJeans' sound and concept. They don't need to force anything, they don't need crazy ornamental riffs, or ridiculous beat switches to capture and hold attention. All the harmonizing that needs to be done is already in the music. It's simple and for that reason, good. Hurt for example is just a well made song.

It's so fun to play in the car. It sounds like a joint Andre 3000 would produce.

Another song that absolutely blows me away when I play it, is Cookie. Can you even try to imagine what the intro on Cookie sounds like with subwoofers?

Ador encourages the girls to fully participate in several aspects, from songwriting (the members have been writing their songs since debut and 4 out of 5 members are credited on their songs so far), to making their choreography, to applying their ideas towards their marketing. It's really remarkable for a rookie group, but I also feel this is a culture HYBE has been trying to create at all their sub-labels.

hi jojo, i wanted to ask how you corrupt/datamosh art to get genuine glitches … i think the way computers rip apart jpegs or pngs is both beautiful and gives an interesting look into how they process information. seeing something you carefully constructed by hand be reduced to seemingly arbitrary fragments of data is humbling. i didnt even know this was a thing you could do til i saw you do it (i forget when, i think it was with one of your rainer paintings?)

HI OLIVER!! thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to talk about databending because it's something i adore unabashedly. it's an amazing technique to use whenever you wanna make some Crazy Stuff. i personally use audacity to databend—this is a pretty common method, but i'm gonna make a mini-tutorial about it anyway because it's FUN, and because the process is actually really simple!

Here's the image I'll be imploding for this demonstration. I chose it because it was like the first file in my pictures folder, and because it's a good image.

STEP 1. Prepare your image! It has to be an uncompressed image format such as .bmp or .tif, because compressed image formats (such as .png or jpg) are generally too volatile to work with due to the nature of their data. I opened this image in Paint, saved it as a 24-bit Bitmap, and named it FREAK.bmp, because that's what it is.

STEP 2. In Audacity, go to File > Import > Raw Data. Open the image you prepared, and use these settings to import it:

You'll get this image as raw audio data, which I recommend you do NOT play. It will be very loud and abrasive, so probably keep your volume down in case you accidentally play it.

STEP 3. Start messing with the audio! You can use basically anything in Audacity's effects menu for good results, though I tend to favor Bass and Treble, Echo, Invert, dblue Crusher, and dblue Glitch. You can also copy and paste portions of the audio data in different places, and even import other audio to play alongside the data.

Try not to edit the very beginning or very end of the audio, as this might end up corrupting the image header, and it won't be readable as an image anymore. Don't shy too far from them, though; if you avoid them too much, the top and bottom areas of the image will remain unchanged. The positioning of the audio data is surprisingly straightforward, so with enough practice, you can approximate what portion you'll be editing with relative ease.

This is definitely the longest part of the process, since it can take a lot of trial and error for good results. At the start, I recommend doing little portions at a time to get a sense of what exactly your edits are affecting. Try a lot of different things, and remember that Audacity lets you undo things easily and infinitely!

STEP 4. Once your audio is sufficiently screwed, go to File > Export > Export Audio. Use these settings to export it:

Make sure to replace .raw with .bmp, or whatever image format you used.

STEP 5. Enjoy your image! Here's what I ended up with.

For the record, I messed with the audio a LOT here. You can get much more subtle—or much more severe results—depending on how much or how little you alter, or how you alter it. Here's another databent picture, which I made by putting a 3 second clip of "Kiss Me Thru the Phone" over the image data.

It's so interesting seeing a song be reduced to something so arbitrary in an image format. It's equally interesting seeing something as arbitrary as audio waveforms becoming a semi-coherent image, ignoring the Soulja Boy-induced scar in the center. It always makes you wonder how it works. If you sang at just the right pitch, could it became a photo of a sunset? What if it became a portrait of someone you've never seen before, or someone that doesn't exist at all? That's obviously impossible, but there's this strange sense of wonder about it anyway. It still seems plausible, because the data that constitutes an image is generated in such a way that there exist infinite, arbitrary combinations—combinations which might just be coherent to us, if a billion different binary stars align.

The way this data is stored isn't arbitrary at all though, even if it looks that way to us. Audacity's audio waveforms are only one way to visualize this raw data. Here's FREAK.bmp, but visualized via plaintext rather than audio data.

Computers just seem so magical sometimes. The raw data is incomprehensible to our eyes, but they can read it for us and transmit exactly what they see. As long as you keep the proper headers in place, it'll still read this data as a picture, as perceivable pixels, no matter how nonsensical it otherwise looks to a human.

It's interesting to think about databending in terms of glitches. The results are often very similar to glitches that might organically manifest, but the process is entirely intentional. It usually takes some effort and intent to get a "good" result from databending, but glitches and corruption are entirely void of human intent. They just happen, arbitrarily, for any number of reasons.

If something's just a little out of place, you might get a huge, jarring stripe slashed across the image's center—or you might break the image entirely, if it's out of place a little too far to the left. You'd never be able to tell the difference yourself, but a computer certainly can. But to a computer...

... these images might as well be identical.

Weekly Anime Comic: Macross - page 29

If you know pretty much anything about the production history of Macross, you know that episode 29 is where they finally pass the originally intended conclusion of the show and basically have to start making a whole new postscript sequel series.  And don't get me wrong, I really respect that they resisted the urge to just have the Zentradi whip out a previously unmentioned new superweapon at the end of the previous episode and just stretch out the space dogfights for one more arc.  In fact, there's a case to be made that Macross devoting so much time and energy to exploring the realistic fallout of their silly transforming robot adventure was an even bigger influence on subsequent anime than all the idol stuff.  (Granted, it was probably also a lot easier to draw too.  Did anybody notice that the "preview" for this episode was full of clips from previous episodes? Almost like they were really scrambling to get it done in time?)

But MAN it's a sudden tonal shock, even for a show that was already suffering from extreme mood swings.  And here's the thing: this is exactly the sort of thing Young Me would imagine in my worst bouts of fanfic indulgence, because imposing moody dramatic storylines onto bright and happy franchises is how you prove how MATURE AND DEEP you are, obviously.  (Ya'll just weren't ready for Grade School Me's dark and gritty wartime sequel to Tale Spin). So to actually see a show really go and DO something like that really would have thrown me for a loop.  Ya know, if I'd actually been watching Robotech on the first go 'round.  Speaking of which, I wonder how much of Harmony Gold's crazy idea of grafting two extra shows onto Macross to make Robotech was helped along by the fact that Macross basically already has a whole second show tacked onto the end?

And speaking of tacked on, two things: First, $5 and up patrons have a poll open to them right now to decide just what the next Weekly Anime Comic series will be.  Dirty Pair is in the lead but it's still mathematically possible for Soul Eater, Nadia, or Kino's Journey to block its way to victory, so there's still room for you to make a difference!  Second, I'm double dipping on an episode AGAIN!  Next week will be a second comic about episode 28!  The numbers are getting more and more out of whack!  CHAOS REIGNS! Dwarf Fortress x Deep Rock Galactic - Part 5

“I want to fight!” Urist protested.

Ulla scratched the back of her neck. “I dunno, lad... You’ve only watched the corporate training videos. It’s a helluva lot more intense once you’re in the tunnels, you know...”

“I’ve seen combat before,” Urist explained. “I’ve spilled blood! I’ve fought goblin hordes! I’ve even helped to take down a great beast ten times my own size, and there were only six other dwarves there with me! We only suffered three casualties!”

“Can you fire a gun?” Thorn asked as they approached. “Machine-carved jadiz, launched to lethal speeds with a nitra-magnite powder mix, ignited with a flint primer. Do you know how to aim and fire such a thing out of a gun, with the ability to kill?”

“The only part I understood was ‘flint’...” Urist admitted.

“For the love of...” muttered Thorn.

“I don’t understand the problem!” Urist spat. “Just give me a fine spear, and I’ll send those glyphids running back to their nests in no time!”

“A spear??” exclaimed Thorn, wide-eyed. “You expect us to hand your sorry arse over to the glyphid hordes with a bloody spear?!”

“Why not?” asked Donner, emerging from medical, freshly-showered and stark-naked. He walked over to one of the wardrobe dispensers to fetch a new outfit.

“’Why not’??” Ulla replied. “Donner, the lad wants to handle *modern* problems with *stone-age* solutions!!”

“Hold on,” the driller said, holding up a hand. “Technically, the spears that Urist has trained with would be been made of steel, at least; he’s mentioned steel before, so his people must have been at that level of technology, or higher.”

Urist nodded, confirming Donner’s assumptions. Ulla rolled her eyes.

“Right,” Thorn said, exasperated. “So what’s the latest thing you know, newbie? Spear? Bow and arrow? Crossbow? Musket? Revolver? Do you know what a clip or magazine is??”

“Well,” stammered Urist, “we had arch—”

“Also,” Donner interrupted, still naked, “he has the muscle memory and combat training of a speardwarf. He claims to have slain great beasts, with help. I say let him have a few rounds of glyphids, with a spear in hand. See what happens. Have someone with a gun nearby, just in case. Rock and Stone, and all that.”

Urist had hope in his eyes, and looked to Thorn and Ulla, like a child asking for approval.

Ulla wanted no part of this, and made a gesture to brush away the conversation as she walked back to the Abyss Bar.

Thorn mulled it over for a few seconds, though. “Feck it all. Sure. Let’s give the crazy bastard a spear, and I’ll join him on his first drop.”

“Wait, truly??” Urist said, filing with excitement. “This isn’t you pissing about, right??”

“Yes, I’m quite serious,” Thorn confirmed. “I’ll buy you ten rounds at the bar, if you manage to do a full drop without my guns. Hell, I’ll buy you five, if you kill any glyphid larger than a swarmer all by yourself, so long as you make it back to the space rig with minimal injury, regardless of how many shots I fire. It’s a deal.”

They and the newcomer shook hands on it. Urist was beside himself with eagerness, while Thorn was deadpan as usual.

“This is a reckless and irresponsible decision, gunner,” said Klaus’s voice over the intercom. “I’m not unlocking that drop pod, just so you can feed some hopeless traveler to the bugs. It would be an egregious waste of resources, for one thing.”

“Yeah,” Ulla added angrily, shouting from the bar. “Also, it would be bad, Thorn. You would feel bad. Sending new people on suicide missions is bad, you understand??”

Thorn crossed their arms. “Obviously we go with a hazard 1 drop. Donner said the Salt Pits should be clear, right? Besides, good ol’ Klaus had no fucking problems whatsoever sending me into a wave of bugs on my first training drop. Alone. You remember that, Klaus?”

The space rig was silent for a moment before Klaus responded: “Well, you lived, didn’t you? I told you that I had faith in your ability.”

“Sure,” said Thorn, “after you said your goodbyes, and killed the comm link. You only backpedaled after seismic calmed down, because everything else was dead, except me.”

Silence, again. Reiner emerged from his capsule room, and jogged over to his locker to retrieve something.

“Ugh, fine,” said Klaus. “There’s a spot in the Salt Pits that practically rates a zero on the hazard scale. If you go now, it should stay that way when you land. Next spike in bug activity is predicted to occur in 45 minutes. It’s a simple morkite run, in what could be the most boring cave system in all of Hoxxes.”

The scout eagerly came up to Urist with a metal spear in hand. “Take this, before you go! This baby is modified from a standard-issue pickaxe, but the spearhead is an authentic one that my great-great-great-grandmother used, way back in an old mountainhome! Real, original, dwarven steel!”

Urist couldn’t believe it. The entire spear was made of metal, and finely-crafted.

“It’s a family hierloom,” Reiner continued, “but it would mean a lot to me if someone like you would slay a glyphid with it. I think my ancestors would have loved to see it in action again, especially in traditionally-trained hands. I’m too used to guns and pickaxes, so it’s been collecting dust this whole time.”

“It’s perfect!” Urist said with awe, gently accepting the spear. He started with some careful movements, testing inertia, before moving up to full-force swings, causing the scout and gunner to take a few steps back. “It’s absolutely wonderful; you have my deepest thanks, Reiner! Truly! Rock and Stone!”

so gamers,,,,, I was watching an old dnf video (death swap 1 at 4:38 if anyone's interested) and came across this little clip, and it made me think of a good concept!! (below the cut)

so picture this, right?

george straddling dream with his hands hovering over dream's tummy but not touching, and there's a timer counting down to when george is going to let his hands drop and actually tickle him– but dream can't see the timer at all, and he has no idea how long its set for, it could be 1 minute, 2, 5, 10. he doesn't know. he just has to Sit and Wait.

bonus add-ons:

- george CAN see the timer, so he knows exactly how long he has to drive dream absolutely crazy before he can truly wreck him

- there's a 3rd person (likely sapnap) there to man the timer so that neither of them can see how long they have, and they only turn it around when there's 10 seconds left so they can watch it count down. maybe the 3rd even counts down from 10 for them

- said 3rd person (or a different person) is involved directly, and they get to pin dream's arms out to the sides as firmly as possible (or, if you're comfortable with the idea, his arms could be tied out to the sides). dream is then tasked with an even further challenge of having to escape before the timer goes off or else george gets to drop his hands and tickle him silly for as long as he deems fit... until they go for another round :) extra bonus points if everyone in the situation is Well Aware that dream escaping is virtually impossible and keeps the challenge up and open to him regardless

and we all know dream is a sucker for anticipation, he just cannot take it, so any form of this game would be damn near Deadly for our poor sweet angel boy :(

I’m late!!

But I am still gonna play! Thank you @kelliealtogether for tagging me in the ‘five favourite fics that I've written (for writer appreciation day)’ 

This was the kindest thing you could have tagged me in, because as much as I love my fics when I post them, I tend to have a distorted view of them later on, thinking that my writing must have been so much worse, that I’m sure I fucked up the pacing, etc. But having now gone back and re-read a lot of these, I like them just as much - so much that choosing just 5 is gonna be hard!

Oldest first - and also because it’s the only Dragon Age fic I have and tbh I adore it. Short and sweet, Dorian and Sera deserve to bond over shitty parents - the end!

This was a holiday exchange fic that I still think is really stinkin’ cute. Did it have to be this long, or complicated? No! But I thrive on turning simple plots into drawn out character studies.

What Peter Nureyev wants is to wake up next to Juno Steel every day for the rest of his life. He wants to travel the galaxy at his side, day after day, until death at last parts them. He wants so deeply and with such fervor it weighs on his heart like nothing else, save the ring, which stays always in one of his many pockets, feeling like a star attempting to collapse in on itself.

And that is the problem.

FOR INSTANCE. This was supposed to be a short and sweet exchange fic for a friend. It wasn’t supposed to take as long as it did (the better part of a year) but it did! And tbh - I love it a lot. I’m glad it took that long. I’m glad I met them. I’m glad I wrote this. I genuinely think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever written.

He nods. “Quite. And once the job is complete, it’s not uncommon to look into the face of an ally and see an enemy instead."

Second FOR INSTANCE. This was a fic I never intended to write. As many of my fics start, this came from the want of using one particular line and having to figure out WHERE that line fit. Juno saying ‘oh you’re gonna want to think so carefully about what you say next,’ was living in my brain rent free and I had to find a home for it and so came forth this Murderbot-Leverage-esque story of Peter Nureyev, master thief. 

...crap now I have to choose between Captive Prince and The Raven Cycle. Wait. No I don’t. Fuck it. I’m going rogue!

This is just fun, silly, modern day fluff. I like the world I made behind it, but mostly I just wanted to see how they fit together.

This is one of those fics that has a huge, sprawling backstory that I have no willpower or time to fully write. However, I think this small snippit gives just enough of a look into what was and what could be and I really like it for that.

How was your experience getting into this series? Did you find Majima's transition from 0 to Kiwami jarring or did you start somewhere else? And which game did you like the most and why?

Funny story really. My cousin had been telling me about the series for like a half year after a video they watched and had jumped into the franchise through it. I, on the other hand, kept trying to process these hyper realistic character models doing such absurd things. And I ESPECIALLY could NOT comprehend Majima in his entire design. Like imagine throwing this guy at a non-fan who’s only laid eyes on the series through miscellaneous meme images and gifs. Alongside my vague memory. Just me going “Oh god what the fuck is that???” Kaoru was right to ask what is he

It wasn’t until I went over to their brother’s place for almost 2 weeks in the summer two years ago that I truly experienced Yakuza for the first time with my own four eyes. Saw so many ridiculous but amazing videos and pictures and posts of all sorts in a short amount of time. I also watched my cousin play three or so of the games, saw some of the clips on YouTube, and something just immediately pulled me in. Really, the two things I saw story of where the ending of 2 and the start of 3. Crazy for me to still be here considering the ending of the second game. I really wanted to stay longer and watch all of 3 even though we got spoiled on that ending in the most overly comedic way. (the magic number in this paragraph is two)

Later that year, I wound up getting a PS4 and 0,K1, and K2 on physical CDs. Even bought the remastered collection thanks to a Christmas sale on the PS store. Through this and that, I already knew the plots of like half the games so I ended up playing them out of order. I think I played Kiwami or 3 first. Either way, the last game I completed was 5, and I still actually have a bit of 7 left. I’m not the best at picking favorites of any sort though. I really enjoyed 0, aspects of K1, 3, and 5 a lot. LAD of course has also been extremely fun. Haven’t played a lot of RPGs before, or at least it’s been years since I have so there was a bit of a curve for me in the switch from brawler to that. The characters really manage to pull you in the most with this franchise tbh

Answering this out of order, but since I was introduced to the series the way that I was, I didn’t have the same problem a lot of other people had with going from 0 to K1 and seeing Majima’s behavior. I managed to learn a lot about how different things are when you look at things through the lens of game order and chronologically starting from 0. It made everything about my experience change. Information about this and that and how the writing advanced over the years. I do, however, wish that his character merged better between the games. It’s the original Majima vs the Majima they decided on later who isn’t really like that. It gives a strange jump from one to the other, and really made me confused on what they were trying to go for altogether. But I guess Zhao is that character they were going for, more refined and polished in that field of pretend crazy guy who’s secretly a marshmallow

Wholesome Headcanons for mY heART

Yu loves to collect stickers. It all started when he got a pair of noise cancelling headphones from Tsubasa and he started to decorate it with cool stickers he got from tournaments and friends, but since then he has a whole scrapbooks with pages covered in stickers. His favorite is his Dino themed book because he gets to rant about his extensive and honestly impressive knowledge about dinosaurs. I feel like whenever it’s somebody’s birthday he makes them a card adorn with stickers of their favorite things, which are always really goofy and makes the group laugh.

Kyoya volunteers at a local cat animal shelter on the weekends when he’s in town. He claims he only does it for the workout when he gets hauling in the food bags but this is a lie. He enjoys every second that he spends with the animals. I like to think every time a cat gets adopted he cries because he’s made such a strong connection with them and he’ll miss them, but he’s happy knowing they’re going to a loving family. He especially has a soft spot for the older fat cats in the shelter and will give them extra treats when no one’s looking.

Zeo and Toby have a game night every week. It’s a tradition that they started from when Toby was still stuck at the hospital and didn’t have a lot of fun stuff to do in his room. It started out as just simple games, but since then it’s escalated to a full on session lasting like 3-5 hours. I think they especially love things like little card games where they’re solely playing to just bamboozle each other. They would have like an extreme version of Uno they would play where they just go bat shit crazy, and they would end up cussing and screaming and dying of laughter by the end of it. They invite Masamune to these Intense matches just to watch him suffer as he tries to figure out the rules.

Benkei worked as a MA/nurse to help pay for the restaurant he opened up in beyblade shogun steel. He first went into it for the pay, but he liked helping people so much he eventually really started to enjoy it. I don’t know why I have this Headcanon but imagining him in big blue scrubs with a clip board covered in bull stickers with a little smiley face nurse badge makes me just so happy. I feel like he really loves helping the kids that are scared of the doctors feel more comfortable by giving them cool stickers/bandaids after they get a shot or session done. His favorite thing he always wanted to do though was Physical Therapy, which he developed a love for after Kyoya went through his bottom surgery and needed to do P.T. Plus, he thinks it’s really handy to have first aid knowledge on you when you’re training new bladers, in case one of them has a medical emergency they need help with.

Ryo loves Karaoke. He didn’t know what it was until he moved into the city and joined the WBBA and he was invited to an office party where he was introduced to it and he had a blast. His favorite song to karaoke to is Dancing Queen by Abba. Probably has the worst dance moves ever known to man. Gingka and Hikaru are embarrassed by it but have no power to stop it.

- I'm vibing so hard to The Show, but also it makes me sad knowing it has almost zero chance of qualifying 😩   Poor girls, coming out from a very poor selection and immediately fallen into the group of less attractive acts of the year.  I can’t say I’m rooting for them and it’s fair not to expect the qualification

- After the rehearsals, only Ukraine, Sweden, Spain, France and Serbia are giving me winner Vibes!   You’ve picked all very strong acts here: top10 material, probably (even if... Sweden... meh)

- No but it's True, the sun really Ruins some stagings and don't act like if it wasn't the case You complainers are addressing this kind of comments to me as if I should feel responsible just because I’m Italian... Ok, I can take it because I don’t care about it that much: wait to see how much has been done, before pointing out one flaw. Be honest with yourself, nobody’s perfect

Thoughts?  I’ve got no idea and I can’t say I care that much: to be totally honest, my attitude towards this act has gone, through the weeks, from “I hate it” to “Damn, I can dance along this” to “Ok, they wanna play the funny characters but the song has already disappeared from my radar”. Viewers watching the semi final will definitely enjoy it, though.

- Why is (almost) everybody's staging soooo good? Don't get me wrong it's good for the show itself, I'll Just be very sad because some of them won't make it through.   That’s the game and what keeps it spicy :)

- Austria and Denmark are the only two entries I genuinely enjoy from semi 1... if neither of them qualifies I'll be devastated 😭   Damn, I hope at least one gets through (Austria, thanks) for your sake O.O

- Semi 2 is a battle of typical jury-friendly entries (Azerbaijan, Malta, Australia, Poland, Montenegro, Belgium) vs televote-friendly ones (Finland, Israel, Serbia, San Marino, Romania etc.) I can't wait to see how it all plays out and whether juries/televoters will cancel out some of each other's choices...  The hype is getting high, right?  Eurovision fever is really getting into us :P

- Ngl, Rockstars give me vibe from early 00's Eminem's songs. I mean, Malik Harris' inspiration including Eminem!😱   I don’t know why but the rap segment of the song always makes me think about Eamon’s “F*ck it”

- I think UK will be this year's "Zero Gravity": staging will be epic but I don't see televoters going crazy over it  But the man’s got charisma and he may win over audience with his lion hair ahahah

- I'm predicting that Portugal will qualify, then end in bottom 5 in the final   The main risk of this song is getting lost among all the ballads so yes, I believe something about your prevision might be very legit

- THE ANONS SAYING GREECE IS OVERRATED BETTER SHOW THEMSELVES - I KNOW WHERE YALL HOES LIVE Ps. Ik u probably havent seen the acoustic with choir version of die together but it seems that amanda's fellow medical students are pretty cute. Especially the 2nd and 3rd guys from the left  I could give a chance to these medical students you’re talking about (I’ve definitely missed something here) but I stand by the idea that this ballad isn’t my jam

- Despite being considered a huge favorite, I think Netherlands might be in danger of not qualifying (I'm getting Belgium 2018 vibes)   This song and girl are quite a mystery to me: I mean, I like the entry but I keep forgetting about it... - am I the only one who went from "absolutely can't stand Emma Muscat" to "wouldn't mind her in the final" ?? It’s not about her but the song: that tune shouldn’t get to the final, it’s so forgettable and not very new to our ears...

- As much as I like Konstrakta, I'm not that optimistic about her qualification chances Because it's in Serbian I'm afraid people won't get the message (except Montenegrins and Macedonians who speak similar languages) And will only see a "crazy" woman washing her hands on stage and think it's a joke and juries won't like her Believe me, there’s something about Eurovision acts that goes beyond the message of the lyrics: remember that most people watch the live shows listening to the songs for the first time, having few seconds to focus on every single word while enjoying the whole performance, quickly before passing to the next entry (and don’t forget that the majority of spectators aren’t fluent in English). She’s bringing a very different act -> she stands out -> she’ll get to the final, no doubt.

- Tbh, I somehow think Azerbaijan will not qualify or is at risk of it at least. Nadir is not really pulling out the last Note (Madrid Preparty) and the Song is supposed to be a powerful male ballad, but it is not really + it is before Australia and Poland which are wayyyy Stronger. A 2nd non-qualification after Aisel (2018)?  The risk is tangible: his song may not be the most memorable among this year’s ballads, as you’re saying. So... Suspence!

- I actually cannot believe Achille has made it to Eurovision, he's auch a cool guy. I Just wished He had a better song  Yes anon, cheap song is the problem...

- I'm pretty sure at least one of either Slovenia or Latvia will make it through: I can actually see the two of them battling for the 10th qualifying spot.  I’m pretty sure Latvia will have a way easier life getting to the final!

Anime / Manga !

i love anime and manga. ive grown up with it ever since i was around 5. i would stay up on saturday nights till 7 am when inuyasha would start playing on adult swim. if i was ever too tired i would record the episode on our dvr and would watch it after getting home from kindergarten. crazy age to watch inuyasha but i always found it so cool.

also grew up on naruto. i am such a naruto nerd i have rewatched the og and shippuden so many times i can tell people which episode events happened, i can sing the openings in order, i can name most characters, etc. the naruto brainrot is bad. same thing with bleach and dragonball z. the new bleach has me so hyped i loved watching every episode made me want to rewatch the main series but i have no time so i just watch small clips here and there.

i love just about every genre of anime tbh. sports animes (baki, hajime no ippo, kengan asura, one outs, eyeshield 21, etc). idol animes (idolish 7, tsukiuta, tsukipro, etc). shounen, mystery, shoujo, literally everything. i have to be in a certain mood to watch mech animes but whenever one comes out that catches my eye i put all my energy into watching it. i think the only genre i dont enjoy much is isekai, i used to like them but new ones come out too often i cant keep up.

Cars !

my day to day guilty pleasure is cars. i love cars. they are cool, go fast, go stutututu, whine, be loud, have cool lights, i love everything about a good car.

i have a brz! bought it myself and it is my pride adn joy. it is one of my favorite cars and when i bought it in november i literally cried. I drive manual and its so fun to me! i want to learn how to drift but im a bit nervous because i dont want to accidentally mess up anything in my car.

Reading !

i love books i love reading. i love fiction, sci-fi, philosophy, nonfiction, fanfiction, everything. I was never into books like harry potter and anything with too many magical elements in them but always loved horror and more mystery thriller books.

i have been dying to buy more physical books to add to my mini library in my room but theres a few books on my backlog i need to complete before i do that.

i also have a slowly growing manga collection that i desperately need to add to.

i read all day all night on my phone but the feeling of flipping real pages is so satisfying and having the weight of a book in my bag is just so nice.

Music !

not to toot my own horn but my spotify wrapped minutes is always 140k+. i listen to music all day everyday. while doing homework, reading, driving, working, in class (pay attention dont be like me), watching stuff it doesnt matter. i have a terrible habit of getting bored of something very easily so i always multitask and need 20 things happening at the same time so music is amazing at keeping me focused.

i love 'underground archive', rnb, krnb, jpop, citypop, lofi, rap, edm, literally a whole lot of stuff. i dont like pop that much ive grown to realize same with country, i can listen to it but only if someone else wants to.
