"Mister Snow, Miss Y/L/N."
At the voice of the Dean, you're both shoving off of each other, faster than you believed it was possible for you to move. You slide back across the floor, stumbling to stand up at the same time as Coryo as Dean Highbottom stares you down.
You didn't realize how completely dead to the world you were it was too late. "Uh, Dean Highbottom." You say, noticing he wasn't about to speak anymore, just staring you down with disappointment. "We were just, um-"
"Don't even try." He cuts you off, holding a hand up to you to shut you up. "I knew it was an irresponsible decision to let the two of you work together on something apparently so important. You're both disqualified, effective immediately, and at the very least demerited. If I get it my way, you'll be expelled."
Coriolanus goes completely pale, fully in shock. He was screwed, without the prize he had nothing. It was his prize, they couldn't take that from him over a juvenile mistake.
"No." He looks at you, shocked, as you argue with the Dean. "Whatever you think you saw has nothing to do with Coryo's mentorship- with my mentorship."
He rolls his eyes. "Y/N, my decision is final."
"I don't think it is." You cross your arms. "And we both know why, and unless you want me to tell someone-"
"No." The Dean replies firmly, and you can see he's trying to hide his panic. "Just get back, please. And make it hasty." He waves you off, and the two of you rush along.
"What was that?" Coryo whispers to you once you are out of earshot.
"Nothing." You insist, not so much as looking in his direction now.
"No, that was not nothing, you threatened the Dean."
"What? No, I didn't." You try and lie, but he's smarter than that. Of course he's smarter than that.
"Yes, Y/N, you did. I was right there, I heard-"
"Coriolanus, it's in your best interest to drop it."
"But-"
"Now."
He sighs at the finality behind your statement. "What are we going to do? He told us that we're disqualified."
"We're not disqualified." You chuckle, shaking your head and stopping in the hall next to a reflective window to wipe off the smeared mascara from under your eyes.
"What if they take it out on Lucy Gray? She could be in serious trouble, here." He asks, and reasonably so. If this gets to Dr. Gaul, which he doesn't doubt that it will, it is not a stretch to assume that if they get disqualified, they will find a way to do the same to Lucy Gray.
"Oh, who cares Coryo? She's district." You scoff, cleaning your fingers on the underside of your skirt. You knew that Lucy Gray would be just fine, nothing that you could do would harm her, and you wouldn't want that. You really liked Lucy Gray, but why would he pinball from kissing you like it was his life in the balance to being so concerned for her in a minute?
"She's my tribute! If she doesn't win I am fucked- do you realize that? Do you realize how badly you could have screwed this up for me? My whole life depends on Lucy Gray right now!" At least it wasn't personal, you think at his outburst.
You let out a sigh, managing a small, smug smile. "Coryo, trust me. They won't hurt her- not on our account anyway. Just trust me."
Coriolanus sighs, running a hand over his face and then through his hair. You can't threaten a powerful man like Casca Highbottom with nothing; he's certain that you know something you most definitely should not, but what that could be is lost on Coriolanus. "Okay." He agrees, watching you as you finish cleaning up what's left of your makeup after your breakdown. Seemingly it's gone. To him, if he hadn't seen it, if you hadn't cried in his arms, he wouldn't have known it happened at all.
"But still, don't tell anyone. Yeah?" You add, turning back to face him now.
"Not a word." He promises.
You giggle, reaching up and wiping his mouth with your sleeve. "You've got a little lipstick, there..."
Coryo chuckles, pulling his head back to do it himself, attempting to cover the burning he can feel appearing in his cheeks. How you could go from crying, to kissing him the way you had, to angry and then back to your normal self could give him whiplash if he didn't know you better. Luckily, the idea of you has never scared him.
Lucy Gray hadn't made another appearance after Jessup's death that afternoon, so Coryo had gone home and come back with a couple of blankets and his pillow. He really just ran home, stripped his bed and showered before returning to you. In the morning you had folded everything up for him and tucked it in the bleachers next to you when other people started arriving. Why were you the only mentors who even decided to spend the night? It was laughable how much more you deserved a mentorship than any of them, but this is all the more chance to prove yourself. Your classmates make it so easy. It's not like you wanted them around, so it was a win-win through and through.
Coryo had been shocked that morning when Dr. Gaul arrived, not saying a word to either or you or even so much as sparing him a knowing glance. He had anticipated a very uncomfortable meeting with her following the events of the day before, but no such moment came. The Dean must have decided that keeping that secret was the right move.
It was itching at Coriolanus that you hadn't talked about it either, but he was not about to be the one to bring it up. Maybe he should go talk to Tigris about it- she had been kind enough to come in on her day off today to watch. Not that it mattered to him, though, it didn't. It was an act of comfort, just like the hug. He had asked you what you needed, and you answered with your actions. That was all. That's all it had to be, after all. You both needed to focus, and he needed to not start falling for you now- of all times. Even if deep down he knew this infatuation, if that's the right word, started years ago. The way he used to think it was hunger causing his stomach to lurch when you so much as looked at him, or that was the envy of your family wealth when you would show up to academy events in a dress that fit you so flawlessly it made the room spin around him, voices fading out to nothing. But no, that had always been side effects of hunger. Or at least, that's what he used to think. Until he got to hold you the way he has these last couple weeks, and the way your hair splayed out over his arm when you used him as a pillow last night, curled up on the floor in the academy.
Now, everything is different at the most inconvenient time possible. The worst part, the worst part of it all was that you seemed entirely unphased. That is why this was bothering him. That even though he's been fed, he's still so hungry.
God, you were so bored. You don't ever remember the games being this boring before, but that was when you could snack away on endless trays of hors d'oeuvres and your parents allowed you to drink with other party guests until the games were done by a reasonable hour in the evening. "Finally." You sigh, standing up as Lucy Gray emerges from the tunnel, likely in search of food or water.
Coral and her pack of seemingly mindless followers were making a move on attacking Lamina, which hardly had you lifting your head. "Y/N." Coryo summons you over and you smile, making your way to his side. "She looks like she needs something, but if I send anything the drone will point them right to her."
You hum in agreement, scanning the widescreen of the arena. "They have their own pile of water over there, she could take that if she sees it. And if she's quick." You point, as if somehow you could relay this information to her.
It feels like you did when you see her head lock in the direction of the pile of bottles, hand instinctually patting over her pocket. "She's checking if she still has it." You whisper to Coryo, breath fanning over his neck. He just nods, knowing this isn't a topic anyone could hear you discuss. "Looks like she doesn't want water, she wants them out. Smart." You add quietly, eyes locked on the screen.
"Sounds like you." He replies, making you smile to yourself.
The two of you watch on baited breaths as she waits for the right moment, and she finds the perfect one. She takes off toward the bottles, quickly and quietly just as you whisper for her to go, now.
"Watch, if she's really smart, she'll take one, then dump the rest." You say, watching as she just grabs one before darting to the middle, hiding under the rubble in the center while the others are still preoccupied. "Oh. Well, that's an interesting approach." You cross your arms, standing up straight again. At least this was at least exciting.
"Remind me why we didn't throw you in with them?" Coryo asks, raising an eyebrow at you.
"You kinda did, didn't you?" You laugh quietly, pretending to hit his shoulder.
"That's fair." He agrees, focussing once more on the screen, trying to keep track of Lucy Gray. She goes out of sight from any of the cameras underneath the debris, before emerging a few moments later and running over to the remaining water bottles.
"As you predicted..." Coryo sighs, gesturing to the screen you were already watching as she begins to dump the other bottles, placing the one she just had next to them.
"She just has to hurry." You reply, resisting the urge to gloat over your accurate call. And again, you were right because it isn't long after Lamina's now dead body falls to the ground and the other tributes finally notice Lucy Gray's presence, chasing her back into the tunnels. You're hoping the map you drew up for her was helpful, and that she can hide. If she dies down there, you won't know.
You give Coryo a high-five with both hands, feeling glares on you from the other mentors about the waste of their tributes water. They're just mad that they got stuck with tributes dumber than Lucy Gray, and you can't fault them for that. "Cake with the cream." The blonde grins at you, mocking Lucy Gray's accent.
"Snow lands on top." You smile back in confirmation, his hands wrapping into yours and shaking them happily. "Now we just have to hope that..."
You trail off, not getting the chance to finish as you see one of the other tributes stumble out of the tunnels and toward the lone water bottle Lucy Gray left. "Who do we have here?" Lucky's narration interrupts your thought process. "Ah, it's Ill Dill. Tuberculosis on legs." The shock of his statement has you dropping your jaw, laughing and earning you a glare from your classmate who was designated her mentor. It wasn't funny, truly, but just the shock of him saying that. Regardless, you hadn't seen her since day one, and even before then, she was incredibly sick. Never a threat, hardly a thought.
Coryo sees this shift in your demeanor, looking back to the screen as well and slowly dropping your hands. The tribute, Dill, you think, takes a sip, and the two of you hold your breath as she lays down next to the uncapped bottle, ceasing all movement after only a few moments with blood dripping from her nose onto the cement beneath her.
You glance nervously around the room, making sure no one is making the same connections you are, knowing what you know. So far, no one seems alarmed, but Dr. Gaul has apparently left- which is shocking to you. Regardless, Dill was knocking on death's door anyway, you're surprised she came out at all. You place your hand on Coryo's shoulder trying to be reassuring, as if to say no one knows.
It's at that moment where Reaper comes out, calling out for his district partner. She remains unmoving even as he runs to her side, trying to shake her awake. Cue the buzzer; that's one less tribute between Lucy Gray and you getting your dream job.
Your heart stops as he eyes the bottle next to her, your hand gripping tighter onto Coryo's shoulder. You're both waiting for the other shoe to drop, Reaper knows that something isn't right. Luckily for the two of you, he ignores it. He lifts the dead girl up, looking around before carrying her to Lamina's side under the beam. Followed by Marcus, then Jessup, then Bobbin.
"What's he doing?" You ask quietly among other whispers which you are sure that if you could hear them clearly would echo your sentiments.
"I don't know..." Coryo replies, slightly shaking his head as the boy moves away from his line of bodies and over to the wall.
You have to fight the urge to laugh when he rips the flag down from the wall, causing all sorts of chaos to break out in your theatre. "He just tore down the flag..." You hear Lucky say, and as you look around at the chaos it caused, it makes you want to cheer for the boy. He had been looking at the flag when you tried to speak to him just before the bombing- had he known?
He lays the large red fabric over the row of bodies, turning to look directly into the camera everyone is fixated on. You get chills as if he's staring at you directly. Personally. "Are you gonna punish me now?" He shouts, making people jump in the now, suddenly silent room. "Are you going to punish m-?"
He's cut off abruptly by the face of Dr. Gaul, in an apparent emergency broadcast. So that's where she went. Coryo sits up straighter to listen in, and you can feel him tense under your palm.
"I am devastated to announce that due to injuries sustained in the rebel bombing of the arena, another one of our academy students, the son of our President, Felix Ravenstill has died." You gasp, lifting a hand to cover your mouth as chatter erupts in the room. You never loved Felix, far from it, but it seemed to you that your classmates were dropping like flies. That would make anyone a little on edge. "We cannot allow the rebels to continually get away with such violent, senseless acts. This is why we have to retaliate, with something very special for our tributes in the arena. Even if that means there will be no winner." You don't hear what else she says as Coriolanus is abruptly pushing his chair back as he stands.
"Hey, what are you doing?" You ask as he starts to back away, eyes still locked on the screen. You reach out and grab his hand. "Coryo?"
"Where's your bag?" He asks, ignoring your question.
"Uh, over there." You point to your now unoccupied seat.
"Okay, I'm going to take it. I'll be back. Stay here." He prompts you, squeezing your hand for just a second before going and grabbing your bag, leaving in a flash.
"Alrighty then." You mumble to yourself, taking over his spot.

campus affairs | jeon jungkook
Tumblr media
summary: you transferred to a new college during second semester and you didn’t expect much excitement out for. that’s until jungkook came along and what had struggled to be a friendship was becoming so much more.
warnings: 11.9k. college au. smut. fluff. f2l. y/n is new. Jungkook is kinda tsundere. mutual pining. friendship. college life. bakery fluff. protected sex. make out. groping/fondling. hand job. oral [m]. riding. light dirty talk. very smitten characters.
He didn't say anything for a long moment. Instead he stared at his two friends blankly. They had huge smiles on their faces as they waited for him to respond. He wasn't sure what they wanted him to say but it didn't matter. Nothing came to mind anyway. What was he supposed to say? He didn't know you, he didn't care to, but it's not like he had a reason for it. He didn't have a single reason to tell them no when you've done anything to him. It wasn't even your fault he felt this way, he just did.
Even when you gave him a bright, polite smile he didn't react. You looked down to the other two awkwardly, "It's fine, I can find another group."
"No, we want you here," Sia told you, "Sit, Jungkook's just an asshole but he'll warm up to you."
"It's alright," you told her looking back to Jungkook in confusion and that made him feel bad. He didn't mean to have such a bored expression or make you feel bad. He just didn't like the effort it took into meeting new people. Hence why his closest friends are the two girls he's known since middle school and nobody else.
"Wait," he called out just as you were turning to leave, "Stay."
You looked down to Sia and Yuna who smiled widely pointing to the empty spot next to Sia. Yuna sat across with Jungkook, "Y/n this is Jungkook, Jungkook this is Y/n. She's new, you would've noticed if you actually went to the lecture today."
"I overslept," Jungkook said with a shrug looking up at the stranger now sitting across from him. Had his friends really befriended you that easy?
They did do it that easy. They were the only ones with an open seat in the lecture hall. When you approached them they were quick to get to know you. It was the second month of the semester and you were transferring Universities. The only reason you did it is because this one provided classes your previous school didn't. When the professor advised you to join a study group Yuna and Sia were quick to invite you to theirs. You didn't expect the other member of the group to be intimidating tatted guy with piercings—not that it looked bad.
"Here's my notes from the unit we just did," Sia said sliding you her laptop letting you type in your email so she could send you the documents. Yuna leaned forward from her spot, "So, any plans tonight?"
"Hm?" You weren't expecting her question considering you'd only met her an hour ago. Yuna smiled, "I asked if you're doing anything tonight? We're going to go out for chicken and Soju. You should join us."
"Yes! You should come with us, we'll go after we're done here and have dinner," Sia added on smiling widely in anticipation. They were like a dose of serotonin Jungkook lacked. Maybe that's why he stuck with them for so long.
"Uh, I don't know..." if it was just the girls you'd say yes. Why wouldn't you want to meet people this quickly? But he was making you debate on going or not. He didn't seem interested in meeting anyone knew and he already didn't look happy letting you into their study group.
Jungkook got up leaving to find a textbook he needed to borrow for reference to an essay he was working on. He roamed the aisle closest to his friends and only looked over when one of them spoke a little too loud. You were smiling now along with them, laughing about something he couldn't hear. Your face lit up when you smiled and it looked genuine. You didn't pay attention to him but Jungkook didn't mind that.
People never expected him to best friends with such lovely girls but that's just how things happened. He was in a rough place in middle school, his parents always fighting, his older sibling moving out, his grades dropping. He was always sad and tired and Yuna was the first to be nice to him. She let him copee her notes, sat with him at lunch and basically befriended him when nobody else did. Then of course Sia came along attached to Yuna and they treated him warmly. He wasn't necessarily a quiet person but he was closed off. He only let certain people in and they were some of them.
This isn't the first time Yuna and Sia have adopted a newbie into their care but they've never stuck around—or one of them would end up crushing on Jungkook and get mad when he's not interested. The only guys that came around wanted just wanted to sleep with them and when Jungkook would tell them off for it they'd leave. He hated hearing guys talk about his friends like that. He wasn't interested in either one of them romantically and he doesn't think he ever has. They're just friends, and they were bringing you along this time.
He wondered if you were gonna be like the last chick they hung out with, Soomin. Sia and Yuna were so nice to her but she didn't care for it. She asked Jungkook out and when he rejected her she was rude to them as if it was their fault. So when he told her off for being a rude bitch apparently he was an asshole. He didn't care, they were like sisters to him. His older brother took care of him so why would he take care of those closest to him?
"I have to work tonight," You had been saying when Jungkook got back to the table. Sia frowned, "Where do you work?"
"A bakery," you told her, "It closes at 9:00 thought since it's a part of a plaza that closes at that time."
"Do you get a lot of customers then?" Yuna asked disregarding her homework leaving Jungkook the only one working surprisingly. You shook your head, "Not really, on slow days we'll get like four customers through the shift and they're usually regulars."
"Tell us the name and we'll stop by some day," She said to you and you did just that.
The second time he saw you was during class, when he actually managed to show up. You were sitting on the inside of the row while Yuna sat at the end of it with Sia. He had to make his way through to get to the empty seat next to you.
"Surprise, surprise," Sia said leaning forward to look at him, "Somebody finally made it to class."
"Don't get used to it," Jungkook said with a huff making his cheeks round as he looked to you for a quick moment. You stood out to him in a pink knitted vest and shoes that matched in color. You wore gold jewelry and your lashes looked long, for some reason that gave you a more enticing look. You turned suddenly, catching him in the act of staring.
"Do you have a pencil I can borrow?" He asked hoping that would cover his awful attempt at being discreet. You opened up your pencil pouch shaped like a caterpillar with antennas and began searching for it. You pulled out two mechanical pencils biting your lips nervously, "Sorry, this is the only one I have unless you want to write with a pink pen."
He looked at the purple mechanical pencil with lavender hearts on it and a heart-shaped eraser. Down on your desk space was a matching pink mechanical pencil that must've been from the same pack and he took it. He had to keep his cover story straight so you wouldn't think he's weird for staring. He studied the pencil, it was cute and he didn't feel embarrassed using it. Every now and then he'd look over and catching you writing with the matching pink one. Sometimes he'd see you two if against your lip when you read something. Throughout the lecture he used the purple pencil, even used the heart eraser a couple times. He got some weird stares from some guys but when they saw yours they shrugged it off probably thinking it was a couple thing.
After class you packed up your things before he did and before he could give it back to you, you were rushing out the class late for another early lecture. With a small sigh he put the pencil in his black backpack and left with Sia and Yuna. The pencil looked ridiculous with his black and white school supplies but it added a pop of color.
"We should go to Y/n's work," Yuna said after her last class when she met up with Sia and Jungkook at the bus stop, "I wanna try whatever pastries they have there."
"Yes! I want to try some too, wanna come with?" Sia asked turning to Jungkook. He thought about it for a second. He could either go home and have some ramen, or he could go try some dessert. Never one to turn down food he hopped on the bus heading toward a different direction than his apartment.
In reality he didn't have to ride the bus. He had a nice Mercedes Benz waiting in his family home's parking garage left unused. His father bought it for him when he was old enough to get a license but Jungkook never uses it. It'd be another thing he's reminded of, how his family controls everything in his life. How they'll use it against him when he doesn't do what they say and he's just not interested in that. Instead he used his allowance for a bus pass and at least that way he can ride with Sia and Yuna whenever.
The bakery you worked at was very warm, it smelled delicious and it was pretty. That's what Jungkook noticed first. The glass cases were lit up with a yellow hue that illuminates whoever stood behind it and currently that was you wearing a cream colored apron and your hair pinned back. You smiled at the group who you'd gotten acquainted with this past week. Even surprised to see Jungkook had willingly come here when he's been pretty closed off.
Not that you minded him being more serious around you. You've heard stories from Sia and Yuna and they always made him way more lively than he is around you. You wondered if you made him uncomfortable or annoyed but this morning he asked for a pencil and the only one you had was covered in hearts. Still though, he used it and it felt like a triumph. He was clearly a private person and you had just recently started hanging out with the other two so there's not much you can say on that matter.
"Hey," you said when they got to the counter after checking the place out. There was a couple at a table and a few high school students at another but beside that it wasn't busy at all. Sia looked down at the bakery case, "I need you to tell me what's the best thing here before I buy everything."
"And she will," Yuna said peering into it too. Jungkook hovered over them taking a peak too, practically tasting the pastry on his tongue. You pointed to the one you liked and they each ordered one and Jungkook ordered a second too. "Can you sit with us for a while or do you have to stay behind the counter?" Yuna asked once they paid with your employee discount added in.
"I can but if someone goes up I have to go look," you said leading them to a round table leaving you between Jungkook and Sia. "This place is so cute, do you have to close alone?" Sia asked you as she cut a slice into the pastry.
"Yeah but it's not hard, it's just pretty dark by the time I'm off," you said with a shrug. You had a full ride scholarship so you really only worked for your housing and food but even that wasn't too expensive. You lived in a pretty cheap old apartment but it was close to your new school and you didn't usually get that many groceries. You worked three days out of the week and once on the weekends so with that plus tips you were making it. Unfortunately that just meant you didn't have much spending money and you had to work longer shifts when you were done with classes.
"Do you walk home?" Jungkook asked suddenly, speaking to you finally aside from when ordered his pastry. You shook your head looking back to him and the big forkful of cake he was holding up. He shoved it in his mouth waiting for an answer from you.
"I usually catch the bus," you told him making his brows furrow. The bus is like a ten minute walk from the shopping plaza and that meant you had to walk to it alone at night.
"That's scary," Sia piped in, "Please be safe when you're closing up."
"When do you work?" Jungkook asked looking at you again like he was concerned but you probably saw wrong. You told him your schedule which was usually Monday's, Wednesday's, Friday's and sometimes Saturday's. He nodded his head in acknowledgement looking back to his pastry as he finished the first one already reaching out for the second.
It's not that he should worry or anything but then he thinks about Sia and Yuna. They're like sisters to him and if either of them got off work so late then he'd be concerned about their safety. He didn't know you well but he couldn't imagine you walking home alone and some creep approaching you. He can remember your schedule, that way Yuna and Sia will feel more at ease knowing you won't walk home alone. Yeah that's it, it's for them not to worry.
"That was literally amazing, how do you work here without eating everything?" Sia asked as she finished up her pastry. You gave her a smile, "After a while it gets tiring but when we have extra dessert usually I'll take it home. I can take you some if you'd like, they'd only be a day old."
"Please!" They said unanimously. Just then the wind chime above the door rang and a gust of wind hit the table making you stand up lifting a finger to them motioning for them to give you a second. You left to the counter feeling a tug on your arm when you were walking making you whip around in surprise.
A smile spread across his face, "Not even gonna say hi?"
Your eyes widened, "Tae Tae!" Your arms flew around his neck suddenly making him stumble back a step as he caught you by the waist. The three you'd gotten to know stared in confusion and surprise as you and the handsome stranger started talking.
"You think that's Y/n's boyfriend?" Sia asked turning to the other two. Jungkook studied the guy a little closer, he seemed warm and friendly compared to him. Jungkook shrugged as he turned to look out the window lit up by large bulb string lights. Yuna nodded, "Probably. Y/n's pretty and that guy is hot. Did you see the way they greeted each other?"
He looked back to the two at the register. Was that your type? He looked like the artistic type, the kind who'd spend his time listening to jazz music and enjoying a piece of art. Jungkook preferred working out, music, photography and sometimes painting. It really depended on his mood. He couldn't deny how soft the man looked compared to Jungkook's harder exterior.
"Guys this is my most bestest friend in the entire world, Taehyung these are my new classmates," you introduced him like a pepperoni pizza with too much pepperoni [lil Caesar's lol]. Taehyung have a subtle wave as he looked over the trio as you said their names.
"Did you come all the way here to surprise Y/n?" Sia asked curiously but Taehyung just shook his head no. "I was in the area and stopped by."
"He would never go out of his way to see me. He doesn't care about me," you joked as you sat back down with the group looking back to him, "Pull up a chair." Taehyung shook his head, his hand going to the top of your head, "I've gotta catch the Subway but thanks for the food, Ugly."
"Because you're so cute, right?" You glared looking up at him but he only smiled. "I am."
"Anyways, it was nice meeting you, please take care of Y/n, she's a little slow," Taehyung joked making you smack his arm as he pulled it away from your head. He did a quick wave goodbye and left.
"Oh my God, be honest, is he your boyfriend?" Yuna rushed to speak. Your brows furrowed before a look of disgust crossed your face, "Ew, no. We met in an art study class freshman year of College and we became friends since."
"You're an art major? How didn't we know that?" Sia asked making you shrug. "Because we only take prerequisite courses together and since I've only been here a week and a half I haven't had a project yet?"
Jungkook wasn't fully listening anymore. His eyes were staring out the window where the guy had walked past. So you weren't dating him but you were obviously close enough for him to stop by here. How was he not worried about how late you'd be getting off if he's supposed to be your friend?
"We'll wait for you to close so we can all head home together," Yuna said checking the time. Jungkook nodded in agreement even if he didn't say anything.
"Jungkook! I said you have to go!" Sia yelled at him the following Friday night. Even though you had to work today you didn't have to close the bakery and got off a little earlier. Once your new friends found out they asked to come over for some drinks and food which was currently what you were doing. You're out of Soju so you all did rock paper scissors to see who would buy and Jungkook lost against the three of you. Now you were all arguing.
"I don't even know where the store is here!" Jungkook said making you sighed. "I'll just go," you said standing up using the coffee table for support. Sia pulled on your pants, "No, he lost he has to go. He's just complaining."
"It's fine, the store's just a couple streets down," you told her watching her let go of you so you could go get your wallet and put your shoes on. With an annoyed huff Jungkook was getting up too, "I'll go with then, that way you can show me which store is closest."
"Ooh can we snoop your art while you're gone?" Yuna asked pointing to the spare room you had filled with art canvases. You nodded letting them go and do that while you waited for Jungkook to finish getting his shoes on, "I can go by myself."
"I lost so I should be going by myself," he shrugged but he didn't tell you to stay behind. He held the door open for you as you left down the hall toward the elevator, neither really saying anything. When you got down to the front entrance you hadn't expected it to be so windy out. You hugged your arms to your chest for warmth and began leading the way to the convenience store late at night.
"Are you cold?" He asked after a minute or two of watching you shiver. You looked back to him shaking your head no. It made him laugh softly before he was coming to a halt making you stop too. You watched as he reached for the back of his hoodie pulling it forward until it was slipping off. "Wear this," he said holding it out to you revealing a white long sleeve shirt.
"Won't you be cold?" You asked moving out of reach so he couldn't hand it to you. He told you no but you were still reluctant to take it. Jungkook has slowly been warming up to you but you can't say you're as close with him as you are with Sia and Yuna. Sure, the four of you were in a group chat and study group together, and often times had lunch together but he didn't talk to you that much.
You face forward to walk again but you didn't even make it a step forward when something thick and warm was being draped over your head covering you in a scent of expensive cologne. Your hands went up to fight his hold as he pulled the hoodie down for your head to peak out. You turned to glare at him as he finished slipping the oversized hoodie on you letting you poke your arms into the sleeves. He cleared his throat as he took a step away from you suddenly shy with how forward he'd been. His fist covered his mouth as he looked away from you, "Isn't that better?"
"Are you sure you won't be cold?" You asked adjusting the hoodie to fit you better but it was no use. It was too big and it smelled just like him. You shamelessly brought the front to your nose, "You smell really good. What do you use?"
"Yves Saint Laurent," he told you, cheeks flushing red along with the tip of his nose walking next to you again. He caught you taking another whiff of the hoodie and it had him pulling his sleeve to his nose to see if he still had the scent on him. The store was in a more populated section of your neighborhood with more store fronts lit up and he held the door open for you to go in.
The hoodie reached about your mid thigh and the sleeves were way too long so you kept having to slide them up.
He grabbed a basket letting you fill it with snacks before going to the liquor section. "Have you ever had cinnamon caramel ice cream?" You asked him suddenly as you stood in front of a freezer filled with ice cream.
"No," he said simply watching you open the door and pull out a pint of the ice cream and dropping it into the basket. Once you had the Soju the two of you headed over to the register. You fumbled with your wallet reaching into the too big front pocket of the hoodie as the cashier finished ringing your total up and when you finally got it out Jungkook was tapping his phone against the machine.
"Have a good night," the female cashier said with starry eyes as she stared at Jungkook. He took the bags before you could reach for them and it had you tugging him back, "I'll help you."
He shook you off making you whine, stomping a foot in the process, "You paid, let me help you."
"No," he said as the two of you stepped back out, "If you want to help you could grab the ice cream and let me try it."
He liked how expressive you were. You didn't shy away from touch or stop yourself from saying things that were on your mind like when you told him his perfume smelled great. You proceeded to smell his hoodie, and ultimately him, maybe he should wear it more often. You also had lively reactions compared to his monotonous ones. It was like a breath of fresh air and when the wind picked up your hair making you fight to tame it, it made you look prettier than usual.
"You're gonna love it, it's so good," you reached for the small plastic spoon that came with the pint and popped the lid open. You scooped up a decent amount going to hand it to him. Jungkook tried sliding the bags down his wrists but they were heavy. You held the spoon out to him, "Here."
He bit his lip in thought as the two of you stopped. He looked down to the spoon before bending his knees so he was eye level with you and let his mouth open slightly. You pushed the spoon past his lips and as they close around the plastic his eyes locked on yours. Your brows raised, "Well?"
He stood straight again swallowing the small bite he took ignoring the sudden race in his heart before nodding, "It's good."
"Told you so," you smiled as you took a bite for yourself. The walk back to your apartment was quiet aside from the time you'd bring the spoon to his lips to give him a taste.
Jungkook noticed early on that he was really seeing you as a friend. He found himself caring about you the same way he cared about Yuna and Sia. The main difference is he found himself thinking about you even more than necessary. He wasn't sure what it was but you had managed to weasel your way closer to him and he was definitely happy about that.
He'll admit, he did get a little more protective with you when others came around. He wasn't vocal about it but he hovered like he was doing now but with Sia and Yuna.
"Thanks again for letting me borrow your study guide, some guy, Jimin, said catching up with the four when they had gotten back from lunch. Now you were standing a few feet away from them talking to Jimin, "Let me treat you to a meal. When are you free?"
"Oh, um," you didn't know what to say. It's not that you wanted to turn him down but honestly you're so busy with catching up with the semester and work. You bit your lip in thought, "How about I give you my number so we can plan?"
"Do you think he's her type?" Jungkook asked the other two curiously. Don't ask him why he was curious, he just was. Sia shrugged, "Isn't Park Jimin everyone's type?"
"They've been talking a while, should we just go?" Jungkook asked slightly bothered by the fact that you were still talking. You and him had class together next and he wanted to leave already.
"Why? Is it bother you that they're talking? You seem awfully interested in those two," Yuna pointed out making Sia nod in agreement. Jungkook rolled his eyes in time to see you and Jimin say your goodbyes.
"We're gonna be late," Jungkook said when you finally caught up to them. You signed, "I know, sorry."
"It's alright," he said as you two split from Sia and Yuna, "How did it go with Jimin?"
He looked over to you as the two of you walked down the stairs heading toward another prerequisite course you shared.
You gave a shrug, "It was fine I guess. I always feel bad when someone asks me out because I seriously don't have time unless it's last minute."
"Isn't that kind of worse?" Jungkook asked, holding the door to the hall open for you so the two of you could sit in for your next class, "Like always having to tell people you can't hang out if they message you last minute?"
You shook your head, "I mean, like I'm the one making plans last minute. I rarely have free time so when I do, it's unplanned and I end up just hoping someone wants to spend time with me."
He nodded in understanding. He didn't have the same type of busy schedule as you did. Frankly, he just didn't have to pay for school, or anything else. Maybe he was just spoiled but his parents pay for everything including a luxury apartment and a Mercedes Benz.
He already knows that he doesn't have to worry about work and supporting himself so he has way too much free time. He wishes he could understand you better but he also didn't want to act like he did because he didn't. He didn't have to work to feed himself or keep a roof over his head while attending college full time. But, in a sense, if you ever did randomly ask him to hang out because you had time off, he'd be free whenever.
You hated yourself for thinking Jungkook was so unbelievably attractive. It wouldn't be such a problem if he wasn't your friend but because he was you didn't want to think that. Despite it being close to midterms you've yet to meet that many people aside from Yuna, Jungkook, and Sia.
You didn't want to lose a friend just because you started catching feelings for Jungkook. How awful would that be.
You were too busy cleaning the inside of the muffin case to pay attention to the wind chimes, barely muttering a greeting at the customer who came in. Jungkook smiled a little at the fact you were clearly stepping on a step stool to be able to reach the case, "You open?"
You looked over, a smile spreading across your lips, "What if I say no?"
"Then I guess I'll just have to come back another time," he walked over to where you were passing a couple college students doing homework. He leaned against the front counter smiling warmly, "Hey."
"Hey," you breathed out finally getting down from the stepping stool, "What are you doing here? Came for more cake?"
"And other things," he shrugged looking down at the warm cases, "I was in the area and I had a feeling you'd be closing tonight. I had a sudden craving for some carrot cake and I figured since it's late I can just wait for you to close so I can walk you home."
"Well isn't that sweet of you?" You asked already sliding the glass and grabbing parchment paper to pick up the carrot cake with white frosting and a chocolate orange carrot on top, "Also, this carrot is so you."
"Am I supposed to know what you mean by that?" He asked walking over to the register watching you put the slice of cake on a small plate. He waited for you to ring it up but you didn't, instead sliding it over to him as you said, "You've got bunny teeth, did you know that? And you scrunch your nose a lot."
"Wow, and here I am trying to seem tough while you're comparing me to a fur ball," he sighed dramatically waiting for you to lift the counter top and join him at a table, "What color bunny?"
You didn't hesitate when you said, "Black."
He scrunched his nose in response, "That's fitting. Want me to tell you yours?"
"Have you been thinking about it?" You asked as he cut a small piece of cake with his fork and offered it to you. He nodded, "For the past two minutes, yeah."
"Cat," he said simply, "But personality wise? Puppy?"
"Why puppy?" You asked swallowing the bite of cake he'd given you. He shrugged, "Sometimes you're energetic and it's cute."
You tried finding a proper response without sounding flirty and when you came up blank you were lucky enough to be saved by the wind chimes. You left him at the table to go work and he sat back watching you.
Why did he feel different with you compared to how he felt around Sia and Yuna, speaking of which...
yuna: I'm hungryyyyyyyyy
jungkook: what's that gotta do with me
yuna: bring me food I'm on campus
jungkook: can't
jungkook: I'm walking y/n home
jungkook: there's a cafe by the bus stop
yuna: boo u whore
yuna: y didn't u invite me
jungkook: idk
He waited outside the shop while you finished closing. It was dark and cold out so he made sure to double layer in case you forgot a sweater again. When you came out he watched you double check the door was closed before turning to him with a smile. "Put your hand out."
"Huh?" He asked lifting his hand, "Wh—". You placed a pink hand warmer in his tatted hand making him stutter. "So your hands don't get cold obviously," you said taking yours out of your pocket.
"Well aren't you the sweetest?" He chuckled as he examined it better. It was actually white with a soft pink pattern. He looked at yours and yours was the same but opposite.
"Since you let me borrow your hoodie," you said making him chuckle. "Borrow? I haven't gotten it back, I think you stole it."
"Technically not steal, you knew I had it," you played along knowing he wasn't serious about it.
After some time of walking in comfortable silence it had to be interrupted by his phone. He couldn't hold in the deep sigh as he took his phone out reading his screen.
You didn't mean to snoop but when you turned to look at him you got a good read at whoever was calling him. It was a guy with 'hyung' added to the name. You watched him put his phone away holding his hand warmer a little tighter. It wasn't even a minute later that it was ringing again. Once again he hung up the call and once again it was ringing.
"Sorry, it's uh, it's my older brother," he huffed in annoyance as he tries locking his phone only to receive yet another call.
"Maybe you should answer it," you shrugged walking ahead a little so he could have some more privacy. With a sigh he clicked answer, "Hello?"
"Finally you're done ignoring me," his older brother JungHyun said clearly annoyed, "Dad is asking if you'll be attending for dinner tomorrow. Park Jisoo will be present."
Jungkook couldn't resist the roll of his eyes at the mention of the woman. Jisoo was someone his parents deeply wished he'd date. Her father is a CEO of an entertainment business that works closely to his family's tech business. Since they were kids they've been around each other in hopes that some day they'd marry and expand both business. Clearly that isn't happening if Jungkook has anything to do with it.
He looked over to you who was walking a couple feet in front of him and suddenly he wanted to get off the phone so he didn't have to hear about Jisoo. "Why? Are we having dinner with her?" he cleared his throat awkwardly looking back to you, "Whatever, I'll see you tomorrow."
With that he ended the call before his brother could say anything else releasing a deep sigh. You looked over to him with curiosity, "Everything okay?"
"Yeah," he smiled already catching sight of the bus stop across the street. He looked toward you, eyes landing on your red puffy nose from the cold, "You know I bundled up in case you needed an extra layer."
"Hm?" You stared at him as he held out his sleeve. "I even put extra perfume on for you. See?"
You tried ignoring the sudden race of your heart beat as he pressed the sleeve into your nose trapping warmth so the redness could go down. He was treating you how he treats Sia and Yuna. That means he sees you as a close friend, right? You moved his arm away holding him by the sleeve, "Smells expensive."
He smiled as he held you back from crossing the street unaware of the car coming by, "What would you do without me?"
Once you two were on the bus he sat down next to you keeping you against the window, "So what did your brother want?" You asked turning to look at him better. From behind you a couple girls were being a little too loud with their comments about Jungkook's looks and that made you smile trying to hold back a laugh.
"Oh, he wanted to know if I'd be attending family dinner this Friday," His teeth played with his lip ring as he looked you over.
Your brows furrowed, "He was blowing up your phone for that?"
"I guess, knowing my father he probably told my brother to make sure I go," Jungkook said honestly. You were quiet for a moment leading him to believe he might be over sharing. He knew there was nothing you could really respond with and that made him nervous. He doesn't share a lot about himself much less his family and he probably threw you off. You smiled, "If you eat something really good you better get me something from there."
He laughed a little catching the light hearted tone, "I'll smuggle something in my pocket."
"Ew no, then my food's gonna taste like expensive perfume," you said making him push you playfully toward the window.
Jungkook didn't even try and act interested in anything that happened over dinner the following Friday. With his phone under the table he was too busy reading messages in the group chat along with having an entirely separate conversation with you.
"Jungkook, Jisoo was saying something, I'm not sure if you heard," his mother had said. They were having dinner in a private room on the top floor of a hotel. It was a large circular table with his parents, his older brother and his fiancé, him, and for some reason Jisoo and her mother.
He looked up clearly bored with the dinner, "Mind repeating that?"
It's not that he completely hated Jisoo it's just that he knew she was in genuine. He's known her for a long time and she's not the saint she acts like in front of his parents. She wants to be in their good graces and Jungkook didn't like that. He didn't like being forced to spend time with someone he doesn't care for. She's a snob and he's seen the way she treats certain people in her life. She's beautiful, sure but he doesn't like her personality.
"Who has you so focused on your phone?" His father asked in clear annoyance that Jungkook mirrored. Well, currently he was talking to only you. "Y/n."
"Who?" JungHyun asked. Jungkook shrugged, "A friend."
"Well if she's anything like the other two always following you around, then I'm sure you can find better company," his mother said making Jungkook huff. "You don't even know her."
Ignoring him, his mother turned to Jisoo and her mother, "I have no doubt in my mind his new friend is only after him for money. He loves to take on charity cases. I try and tell him time and time that he needs to be careful over who he keeps close."
Jungkook couldn't stop the grind of his teeth. His mother had a tendency to act like this, make up her own assumptions and completely disregard her children and their wants. He didn't mind being bashed on, but there was no way he'd allow his friends to be bashed on too. Suddenly, he pushed his chair out raising to his feet. Everyone turned to him, "What are you doing?"
"I'm leaving," Jungkook said firmly as he looked at his parents in particular. His hyung shook his head in disapproval, "Jungkoo—"
"I'm not going to sit here and listen to her make her own assumptions about Y/n," Jungkook said honestly, a little surprised by his own words, "She doesn't even know about any of this. Unlike some people, money isn't everything."
His father made a sound similar to a snicker, "Jungkook, sit down. You're being disrespectful and I won't allow it. We have invited Jisoo and her mother to dinner and I won't let you ruin it."
"Jungkook, aren't you hungry?" Jisoo asked suddenly, "I'm sure they're only looking out for your best interest. Why don't we finish up dinner."
He scoffed, "You think you know them better than I do? They don't care about my best interest, they care about theirs."
"I'm sorry mother but I'm not going to let you insult my friends and force me to hang out with people I don't care for," he was rude. He knows it, but something about his mother's comments about you drove him mad. To top it off, Jisoo has the nerve to butt in and agree with his mom. As if either one of them knew his friends or you. If they got to know you they'd know you're hard working. You're humble and admiring. He's the one who always feels self conscious because you were clearly more independent than he was. But his mom has the nerve to say you're only his friend because of his money. When you didn't even know he was a chaebol!
He didn't give them much time to respond when he was already out the door. He was surprised with himself. He hasn't felt this defensive of his friends since he was a kid but then you came along. He clearly cares about you. But why does it feel so different from how he feels about Sia and Yuna?
They're the ones who got him through his family problems but you're the one he's trying to be closer with to ease his anxiety. Wait, stop, you're friends. You've said it before, you don't have time for much else. He doesn't need to scare you off with how clingy and touchy he can be when he's into someone.
Pause. Is he into you? Is that what this is all about? Can everyone see it but him? Is that why everyone was extra hostile tonight? He can't remember the last time he liked someone. He tries to steer clear of relationships because of his family and if he ever has flings they're lowkey. The second his mother started bashing on his friends, you in particular, he couldn't take it anymore. Usually, he's able to sit there and ignore them but this was different. They didn't even know you. How could he not get upset and defensive? Would Yuna and Sia be mad if he was into you? Oh God, he's crazy into you.
On Monday you got to campus later than usual, you were running late and already having a hectic morning. When you got to class, the lecture hall was practically filled aside from one spot near your friends and it had Jungkook's backpack on it.
"We saved you a seat," Sia exclaimed once you made it through the filled row. You smiled at her looking down to Jungkook as he slid his backpack off it pulling it down for you to sit.
"Hey," he said softly. His elbows had been pressed against the table with his hands in fists over his mouth almost shyly as he looked at you with sparkly eyes. You smiled, "Hey."
On his notebook was the purple mechanical pencil that matched your own. You pointed it out, "I like your pencil."
"I like you—r, yours too," he stuttered out immediately dropping his head in embarrassment. Snap out of it, Jungkook, you're friends. Why is it that all of a sudden he's acknowledged his feelings for you? Now he's nervous around you for no reason. Sia looked over at you, "Do you work today?"
"No, I switched shifts for a coworker. I work tomorrow," you told her already taking your things out, "Why?"
"I was gonna come visit you after I got off," she said with a sigh, "I was really craving some scones. Do you still wanna go?"
"It's awkward going to work when I'm not scheduled," you said with a little laugh, "And some of my friends are coming down for dinner."
Yuna hit Sia's arm playfully, "I said I'd go with you. Jungkook? Are you craving any of that carrot cake?"
"Not today," Jungkook nipping at his bottom lip nervously. Your friends were coming down to visit and he wondered if that meant that guy, Taehyung.
The topic was dropped and you tried focusing on the class and not Jungkook. You didn't want to stare at him like a creep but you noticed something was off about him. After class when the other two were too distracted to notice, Jungkook pulled you to the side. His hand was on your wrist keeping you in front of him and it wasn't until you looked down at the hold that he let go shyly.
"Should I pick you up from work tomorrow? Do you close?" He asked. You gave him a warm smile, "I do close but you don't have to pick me up. It's probably a hassle for you."
"I don't mind."
You nodded, "Alright, I'll bring your hoodie to you."
"You don't have t—bye!" He rushed when you started heading out the class waving goodbye to him and the others. With a deep, dejected sigh he turned back to the other two, surprised when he caught them staring at him clearly amused. Yuna spoke first, "Well, aren't you desperate?"
"He can't hide his feelings even if he wanted to," Sia laughed as they began walking out. Fuck, he knew they'd catch on fast.
In the evening when you went out for dinner with your friends you kept thinking about Jungkook. Why was he so cute today? You've never seen him act shy or nervous and yet today he was. You're not sure why but it was surprisingly cute. Seeing a guy who looked as intimidating as him act shy.
"Look at Y/n, she's got new friends and doesn't care about us anymore," your friend Yoongi joked after dinner. You were all sitting at the table still, trying to reel back down from how full you all felt.
"Honestly," Taehyung agreed looking over to you, "What are you thinking about?"
"My midterm project," you lied even though you did actually have to decide what it was going to be. You already bought a canvas and the right brushes but you're still iffy on the idea.
jungkook: want to watch a movie on friday after ur off
jungkook: or will u be too busy
you: what kind of movie
jungkook: what do u like
you: horror
jungkook: horror it is :)
jungkook: I'll buy the tix
you: are sia and yuna coming?
jungkook: they can if u want
you: it's ok
you: sometimes I like it when it's just kenskakamkas
"Hey!" You reached for your phone as Jin snatched it from you. Jin pressed his palm into your face to keep you away, "Y/n's too busy planning a date."
Your face reddened, "It's not a date. We're just friends."
Jin rolled his eyes, "Oh really?" He handed the phone back and you read the final text.
jungkook: ?
jungkook: it's a date then
"There," Jungkook said with a sigh as he showed his phone to the girls. Sia cheered, "Atta boy, Kook. I knew something was up with you the second you met Y/n."
"Same, he's like a puppy now just trailing after her. Are you forgetting us?"
On Friday, Jungkook was in front of your work standing next to a Mercedes Benz that made your brows furrow, "This is your car?"
"Uh yeah," Jungkook cleared his throat nervously once you were in, "I don't really use it since I live close to campus and parking is a pain."
"Expensive perfume. Expensive clothes. Expensive car. Are you secretly a chaebol?" You asked jokingly but his silence made the smile wipe off your face. But he had tattoos and piercings and he seemed so care free. Well, except the time he talked about his family. Why didn't you connect the dots? He looked slightly uncomfortable now as if you said something he didn't like so you tried to change the subject.
"So what movie are we watching?" You asked buckling yourself in, "I'll buy snacks since you got the tickets."
He shook his head releasing a breath he didn't know he had been holding, "Can't I treat you to this? You never answered when I said it was a date. Did you think I was kidding?"
"Wow Kook, I didn't realize you'd be so forward," you teased but he seemed not to be as playful tonight, more nervous than everything else.
"Uh, is that okay? That it's a date or... you know. I was just thinks because I, uh, I mean I like talking to you and-"
"Why wouldn't it be okay?" You asked cutting his rambling off. He looked over to you as he drove which only made you smile. When you got to the concessions you still offered to pay but he didn't let you. He ordered one of everything before the two of you went to the right theatre.
"If you're scared don't worry, I'll protect you," he said playfully now as he led you to your seats. You rolled your eyes, "I think you'll be more scared than me."
"Will you hold me if I'm scared?" He smirked, his mood improving from earlier, nerves going back down so he didn't feel as anxious. You nodded going along with the light flirting, "Are you always this cheesy?"
"Not usually, is it bad?" He asked digging into the popcorn before lifting it to you so you could eat from his hand making you laugh a little. You leaned into him, "You're wearing the perfume again."
"Just for you," he said reaching into his pocket for a small roller of the same perfume holding his hand out until you handed him your hand. He twisted it open before rolling the scent onto your hand, "Now we'll both be wearing it."
"Wow, I've never worn YSL perfume," you said honestly in short whispers since the movie started. He smiled a little, it was like this was your signature scent. Like for the both of you now. He'll make sure to get you some since you like it so much.
After the movie the two of you had a good discussion on the movie but nothing else. Clearly there were other stuff to talk about but you both were trying to keep it from getting awkward. You were alone in his car but you were still nervous to speak up, "I had fun, did you?”
"Of course," he smiled warmly as he reached out a hand to touch yours, "I know this might seem too forward but I’m really liking getting to know you more. At first I know I was pretty stand offish, it just takes me a while to open up to people. "
"Yeah, I figured but if it means anything, I’m glad I’m getting to know you more too," you answered letting your hands touch more by pressing yours into his. He smiled at that, "That's good."
"I know you’re busy a lot but what do you say about having more of these little dates?" Jungkook asked as he pulled up to your apartment. You didn’t anything as you began unbuckling your seat belt. You were thinking, obviously you had an attraction toward him but you had no clue he felt the same. On top of that, he’s suddenly done a big shift from how cold he used to be to how warm he’s been lately. After your silence became too much for him, he was calling out to you again, "Y/n?"
“Yes?” You responded back. He gave a soft smile, “If you want to just be friends… I won’t be upset. I mean I will but I also understand.”
“I don’t want to just be friends,” you said honestly. You liked hanging out with Jungkook too much. You didn’t notice it at first but maybe you just liked him too much. His lip was pulled between his teeth and you couldn't help but look down at them. He wanted to kiss you so damn bad. One hand was on the steering wheel and before he knew it the other was coming up to cup your jaw. Instantly you were leaning closer as he craned his neck toward you and then it happened.
Your lips met, barely brushing against each others and it had both of you inching back but his hand never left your face. Should the two of you just go for it? You've only known him for a few weeks but clearly there was something going on between you two? Even if he had been cold toward you that was only in the beginning. It happened again, this time more purposeful.
His lips pressed against yours parting them slightly and you were melting into the touch. Your tongue swiped against his lip ring making him release a deep breath through his nose and just as he was ready to pull you into him you jumped.
On your lap was your cellphone, it was vibrating with Taehyung's contact photo displayed on the screen. You pulled away looking down at the phone and Jungkook did the same, catching his breath for a moment.
"Hey," you said breathlessly, awkwardness beginning to set in between you two. Taehyung was already talking your ear off about something and you knew there was no reason to stay in Jungkook's car.
"I'll get going," you told him shyly and he nodded, "Text me when you're inside. Goodnight."
"Night."
Neither one of you were able to process the kiss until you were in the comfort of your own homes alone with your thoughts. What happened tonight?
It went on like this for weeks. It was hard to find time alone together with midterms, work, and school. Not to mention. You had to balance hanging out with your new friends, school work, and hanging out with your old friends. So far, you and Jungkook had only made out [a few times] but that’s it. Usually when you have free time Sia and Yuna want it all so then you end up hanging out as four.
You have yet to put an actual label on what you have with Jungkook but clearly there’s something there that everyone can see. For instance, he’s definitely gotten clingier to you. It’s comical actually, this big, buff, tatted guy making pouty faces at you when you don’t pay attention to him. Or forcing Yuna to scoot over so he could sit next to you. Always looking annoyed when some guy asks you a question. He was intimidating and yet so soft with you.
“You guys are so gross, you make me sick!” Sia gagged loudly. It was a Sunday and you were over at Jungkook’s having some movie marathon. Or at least trying to but it’s really just been all of you talking. Sia was currently grossed out by the fact that you and Jungkook started having a separate conversation that ended with a kiss on the tip of your throat.
“God I hate couples, makes me want to puke,” Yuna sighed making you look over to her with confusion. She only rolled her eyes playfully, “Don’t give me that look. You two are a couple and don’t deny it.”
Jungkook turned to look at you but neither one of you said anything for a moment. Is that really how you’ll announce it? He smiled leaning in to kiss your forehead, “We’re not denying it, right?”
“I’m leaving, I’m craving some chicken and you two are making me lose my appetite. God I hate being single,” Sia groaned as she got to her feet. Yuna was quick to follow in agreement, “For real. Y/n set us up with some of your hot friends.”
“Bye! Love you two! Use protecti—“ Yuna closed the door before Sia could say anything else and you couldn’t help but laugh. Jungkook laughed with you as he got to his feet, “They’re annoying.”
Honestly this is the first time in a while that you’ve had a full day to yourself with no schoolwork or regular work. Now that the girls were gone you were hoping to spend more time with Jungkook. Frankly you’ve been thinking about going further and the only reason you haven’t expressed it is because you know Jungkook. He’s probably waiting for you to make the move first because he feels like he rushes you, which he doesn’t.
“What?” He asked as he came back from carrying empty chip bags and soda cans to the trash. He looked down at you with a smile when he caught you staring. You lifted your arms up as if reaching for him and it made him laugh softly making his way over to you. You wrapped your arms around his neck as his knees pressed into the cushion between your legs, “Can I get a kiss?”
“As many as you want,” he leaned down enough to capture your lips with his, immediately melting into your arms as you made yourself sit up to give him more room. He was getting used to this now, kissing you on your lips, getting close to you but he obviously wanted more. He’s only keeping himself at bay because he knows how tired you are and he doesn’t want to push you.
Of course he didn’t imagine you to be in the same boat. It was only when your hands began to play with the waist band of his sweats to lift his shirt up a little did his body react. A small groan echoing down your throat that came from him due to your sudden forwardness. His lips didn’t leave yours as he started bunching his t-shirt up feeling your cold hands run along his abdomen muscles before having to sit back so he could pull over his head. The second it was off he was back on you, heads turning in opposite directions trying to deepen the kiss, his tongue tracing against yours.
His hands cupped your jaw, brows scrunched together in concentration just wanting to swallow you whole.
Somehow, he got you to pull your legs up on the couch, so he could kneel between them but it wasn’t comfortable and before you knew his hands were gripped your waist hard. He lifted you up, never giving you a chance to break away from the kiss, as he held you up before flipping you. You ended up straddling Jungkook’s hips with the way he twisted you around. With this new position you were able to press down on his crotch more, and that elicited a deep-throated moan from him. Smirking against the kiss, your hands rested on his chest, nails digging into the solid muscle found there. He was more undressed than you were and he needed to change that but your soft touch on his bare torso was heaven sent.
By now your breathing became labored and you could feel the growing wetness between your legs. It was automatic, your hips grinding down and having your denim-clothed crotch make contact with Jungkook’s growing hardness. The fabric of his sweats only served to turn him on, hands gripping your hips guiding your movement letting his hands trail even lower.
The only time they raised from your backside was to finally inch your shirt off wanting any layer between you two off. With deft fingers, he was quickly yanking the ends of your shirt up, sliding the material over your head while still trying to kiss you. You pulled away with a small laugh at his eagerness giving him the chance to take it off you. You were sitting straight as he looked at you with those sparkly eyes, hands on your waist looking you up and down sitting on his lap.
“You’re so pretty,” his hands flitted across your skin. You automatically tucked your stomach in, feeling self conscious suddenly. It wasn’t even dark out, the sun still shone through his windows and here you were shirtless with Jungkook eyeing you. He bit his lip, “All of you Y/n.”
His hands held firmly onto your hips, clasping tightly before slowly letting his palms slide across your lower back. His arms ended up wrapping around your waist and you found yourself face to face with him, your foreheads touching. Why did this feel so right?
“I like you so much, Y/N,” he pecked your lips lightly. You smiled, “I think you’re pretty too. And I like you so much too.”
His head lowered, lips connecting with your collarbone and peppering it with affectionate kisses. Your lips fell apart as your hands wrapped around the back of his neck keeping him put where he showered you in kisses.
His kisses led down to the valley between your covered breasts, hands coming around to press against the fabric of your bra. He looked up to you again as he move to kiss your lips as his hands began sneaking up your back and fingers quickly undoing the clasp of your bra.
“Are you always so soft?” he whispered as the straps fell off your shoulders. He slid them down your arms and you smiled when you flicked it off with your wrist, “Usually.” His eyebrows shot up at your response making him laugh a little before focusing his attention back to your exposed chest.
Without another word, Jungkook leaned closer and began to press open-mouth kisses to your chest. His hands snuck under your chest sliding his palms up until he was dipping a breast in each hand. You gasped lightly, playing with the ends of the hair on the back of his neck. He was being playful, squeezing lightly here and there, going lower with each peck until he got to the nipple. His thumb flicked at the hardening nipple, his tongue doing the same with the other one. You gasped, your spine arching and pressing your chest further closer to his touch. How was he so damn gentle and sweet with his movements? When you look at him you can’t help but feel intimidated. Yet he holds you with such tenderness and care and it felt soft the way you two talked throughout this so far.
You couldn’t help but to jerk your hips, seeking out the friction that would bring you release when his tongue swirled around your bud. At this, you pressed down onto Jungkook’s erection and he became painfully aware of it once again. His lips were swollen and wet when they pulled away from your breasts, your skin prickling when the air hit the moisture that he had left behind on your skin. He was surprised by the tug on his hair angling his neck back before you crashed your lips onto his going straight for a deepened kiss that had him moaning into your mouth. His hands were still playing with your tits, pinching and your erect nipples.
“Jungkook,” you said between kisses, hands moving to his shoulder for more support to guide your hips over him using his gasps for air as signs to see what he’d like.
“Alright,” he said not needing to hear more from you, already knowing what you wanted. He wanted to do more for your body but that would require him to be a little rougher and he didn’t want that for your first time. Not that you’d mind having him use you however he pleased but he was clearly being considerate of what you’d be open to try. He lifted you off his lap and you got the hint moving to your knees, providing enough space for him to pull the front of his sweats loose and quickly slide them down his legs, along with his underwear. His cock hit his stomach with a thud as he kicked away his clothes.
Before he could move you back down, you were leaning forward, lips attacking his neck just under his jaw bone creating a soft suction on his skin that had his breathing hitching at the action. His hands were hovering over your butt as you moved further down his lap to palm at his erection. You started slow, a soft glide down the length of his cock with a small twist of your wrist around his head, moving some of his foreskin back. His eyes shut tightly and the groan that you elicited from him made you smile against his neck. You left soft little kisses as you stroked him, spreading the precum that dribbled out of his slit down the head of his cock. Everytime you applied more pressure, more came out until you were able to cover his length with it.
“Fucking hell,” he licked his dried lips, head thrown back against the couch as his hips met your hands, quickening the pace, “You’re going to make me cum before I get to be inside you,” he stopped you, gripping your wrist tightly, “I need a condom.”
You climbed off him watching him leave to his room, surprisingly a nice image seeing his naked, toned and tatted body. When he came back his eyes caught sight of his phone’s screen lighting up and passing by he saw a text from the girls but he couldn’t think right now. All he could focus on was the way you shimmied your jeans off watching the snug fit over your hips. You kicked them off and before you do your underwear next, Jungkook was pushing you to the couch.
“Oh shit, I’m sorry,” he cursed feeling bad for the way he threw you back with more force than he would’ve liked. You brushed it off, “It’s okay. You can push me.”
It made him chuckle but if definitely was a nice thing to know. He pulled your panties down for you as you watched him tear into the condom. He picked you up again so that he could sit and place your over his lap. Jungkook cupped your jaw, his smile still on his lips as he kissed yours, sweetly and slowly. His tongue licked inside your mouth, exploring slowly as he pressed you closer to his chest feeling the dip on where your tits were and feeling your hardened nipples had him grunting in approval.
You felt his hard length press against your hip, you grasped his length and aligned it with your wet slit. His hand went over your hip watching in anticipation for when you’d let him slip inside you. His brows scrunched together as his lips parting making his face contort in pleasure as you slowly sank down taking his length inside you.
You knew this guy was attractive from his looks to his personality and yet right now that you took his cock inside you, he never looked hotter. He bit his bottom lip and held on tightly to your hips when you sank enough to finally sit on his lap and pushed your knees into the couch to raise your hips. He groaned into your neck, “Oh fuck, you’re so tight.”
Jungkook’s hands landed on your hips, grasping tightly as he began to quicken your movements, raising your hips a little more whenever you lifted them only to drop them back down hard. His head was on your shoulder staring down her back to the way his fingers dug into your was making you ride him deep and hard. You squeezed your walls around him, angling yourself to where you knew that the head of his cock would hit your sweet spot just right. You licked your lips leaning into him more rested your arms on his shoulders, barely able to form a full sentence as you moaned, “So big, fuck.”
One of his hands reached up, took a breast in hand and began to firmly fondle it, thumb and forefinger pulling at the nipple making your hips begin to circle in a steady rhythm trying to get him to fuck all your pleasure spots from your clit to your g-spot.
“Kiss me,” he moaned looking up at you as his thumb rubbed over your clit groaning in pleasure, “Fuck, I’m gon—ngh, gonna cum.”
“Cum for me, fucking cum for me,” he moved you faster, his hips meeting yours as they began to gyrate lifting off the couch.
“I’m gonna cum, Jungkook,” You moaned his name as you reached your peak, walls squeezing around his thick cock, hands flat on his chest to take some of the pressure off your shaking legs as you came. His hands were pinching your thighs with a loud cry in bliss, filling the condom with his load, kissing your shoulder softly. Still, he thrusted gently trying to ease himself out so he wouldn’t just drag himself out quickly and potentially cause you any pain.
You laughed softly, bringing your hips up until his cock had completely pulled out of you carefully. He made space for you, his back pressing to back cushion of the sofa as you both faced each other, laughing breathless alongside you.
He looked over to you, head rolling to the side to face you better. Jungkook release soft pants trying to catch his breath bringing his hand up to the back of your head. He brought you close to him pressing a kiss in your hair, “You okay?”
“Yes,” you said moving to stand up, “But I need to use the bathroom.”
He let you go taking your clothes with you and he sat back trying to clean himself up too. He cleaned up with everything in time to catch you coming back out fully dressed. You gave each other shy smiles as you turned to head back in the living room unsure of what to do with yourselves. When he came back to you, he’d just gotten onto the couch when his phone was lighting up.
The group chat appearing on his screen but he ignored it. He already knew it was Sia and Yuna probably to ask them to hang out again. It’s crazy how they were the ones to call them out as a couple when neither of you could bring yourselves to admit it.
Your eyes met and he broke out into a smile, “What are you thinking?”
“I’m hungry,” you said with a little laugh that had him laughing too. Your hand was on the cushion and he reached for it taking it in his own hand. He lifted a brow, “What do you want to eat?”
“Pizza,” that made him roll his eyes playfully speaking with a smile. “We had that yesterday but we can get it. Do you want to order or eat out?”
“Order,” you said with a shrug as his shoulder pressed against yours. He nodded taking his phone out ready to order the food when he finally got a good look at the texts.
sia: I forgot my wallet at ur place
sia: helllllloooooo
sia: let me up
sia: I know y’all are there
sia: ew wait
sia: u suck
He laughed as he read over her last text that she’d be back tomorrow. She must’ve realized what distract you two so much because she left him alone after that.
He had another text from his brother apologizing for not sticking up for him at dinner the other night.
Jungkook will admit he was still upset over that, mostly that they’d all judge you before even getting to know you. He liked you not whoever his parents wanted him to be with and nothing would make him change his mind.
Nothing makes him happier than the fact you transferred to his school earlier this semester.

(astarion / acebard!tav)
Astarion never received any gifts before - and if he did, he forgot - but he would have loved for the first giver to be his lover, although they seemed pretty occupied with Gale and an object that suspiciously looked like a present.
(not native in english. so sorry if the wording is clusmy in some parts, i wan't sure how to write this xD)
Tumblr media
A/N: I made a few adjustments, but I think I know what you're getting at. Hopefully it still works. Also, this turned out way more than five sentences because I have no self control.

Astarion couldn't remember the last time he received a gift. The idea of being gifted anything was down right laughable. Nobody truly gave anything without expecting something in return. Some way, some how a price would be paid. He didn't need that hanging over his head, along with everything else. So why did seeing you hand Gale a wrapped parcel sting so much?
He watched as the wizard pulled apart the paper, his brows furrowed with curiosity clearing into a bright smile.
"Oh this is perfect!" he exclaimed. "How did you get it?"
"Do you really want to know?" you challenged, grinning yourself.
Gale opened his mouth as if to say something, but stopped himself with a guilty look. "Perhaps it's best I say thank you and leave it at that."
"What do you know, intelligent and wise," you teased. "Just make sure to pace yourself. Don't read it all in one night."
"I've made a point never to make promises I can't keep."
You laughed, giving Gale a light squeeze on the arm before turning in Astarion's direction.
He schooled his features into a casual expression, trying and failing to ignore the burning in his chest. Admittedly the fond look in your eyes did quell the fires, at least a little.
"Successful day?" he asked.
"More or less," you said, taking a seat beside him. "We've got a map. No way to read it just yet, but it's a start."
Astarion humphed, nodding in Gale's direction. "And that?"
"Just some petty thief," you explained. "Gale expressed an interest in it last time we were in town. Couldn't for the life of me explain why, but the bookseller refused to sell. Terrible way to run a business if you ask me."
This was normally when he would laugh or at least grant you an approving smile. Truly, he did love your casual relationship thievery, but it only made him more frustrated. He'd almost preferred you'd paid for it. If you had, he could dismiss the whole thing as a simple errand and not something more.
You frowned slightly, clearly taking notice of his mood.
"Alright, what's got you pouting?"
"I'm not pouting," he said, indignantly. "I'm brooding. There's a difference."
"My apologizes," you said, dryly. "What's got you brooding, oh mysterious one?"
He narrowed his eyes at you, his lips pressing into a hard line.
"I'm just surprised you would go so out of your way for a book. It's not as if you'd be able to understand it anyway."
A flash of hurt struck across your face, but you pushed it down in a way that made him sick to his stomach. What in the hells was wrong with him?
"Well, it's a good thing it wasn't for me then," you said, stiffly. "Now are you done being childish or are you actually going to tell me what's going on?"
Astarion tried to maintain eye contact in some vain attempt to hold onto his pride, but it was no use. He ducked his head down, his hands clenching and unclenching at his sides.
"I...I don't see why you think Gale is worth the effort is all," he admitted. "It's just a stupid book. It's not as if it's useful to the rest of us. So...why bother?"
He chanced a glance in your direction. You just stared at him, your lips slightly parted as you took him in.
"Astarion, are you jealous?" you finally asked.
"No," he said, a little too quickly, even to his ears.
"So what else would you call being upset over the fact I stole something specifically for Gale and not you?"
"I'm not upset," Astarion objected. "I'm just..."
"Brooding?"
He very much wanted to say something devastating in that moment, that would shut you up and let him walk away from this with some kind of dignity; but, he couldn't think of a damned thing.
"Fine, I'm jealous," he spat. "Happy?"
"Not really."
He closed his eyes, letting out a short sigh. He deserved that.
"I'm sorry," he said, softly. "You're right, it's...petty and I shouldn't have said that to you. Gods know if it were anyone else I would have torn their throat out."
He looked to you then, hoping you would see the honest truth in his words.
"I wish I was better at this. I know you care about me and I don't need you to commit robbery to prove it. Although, I wouldn't be opposed to it."
To his relief, a small crack of a smile turned at the corner of your mouth.
"I'll keep that in mind," you said, some of the teasing coming back into your voice.
"Does that mean I'm forgiven?" he asked.
"Only if you mean it."
He didn't have an answer for that. At least, not right away.
With deliberate care, he slipped his hand into yours, raising it to his lips.
He watched as your eyes widened in surprise, only to soften as he pressed a gentle kiss to your fingers. His eyes never strayed from yours. He needed you to see him too.
"I mean it," he said.
A true smile came to your lips, as you nodded. "Then you are forgiven."
He returned your smile, feeling a lightness in his chest only you seemed to grant him.
Perhaps he was wrong in his assessment. He had been given many gifts since meeting you. You practically showered him with them every single day, and damn him for taking any of them for granted.

---------------------------
-------------
The two bright red lines glared up at me angrily.
I couldn't believe it.
Slapping a hand to my mouth, I felt as though the life around me were distorting, those bright two lines indicating the new life forming in my stomach.
"Y/n? You all alright in there?" Georgia's voice called from outside the bathroom. I felt my hands shaking, I couldn't comprehend it was really true. Tears began burning in the corners of my eyes, distorting the dizzying LED's around me. There was commotion around me- a door slammed open, a familiar face with a look of horror as they looked at me- lay across the bathroom floor- I couldn't tell you what happened in the space of ten minutes, but before I knew it I was sat opposite Georgia in the kitchen- steaming mug of tea in my hands.
She looked at me sombrely, a hot mug in her hands as well.
"So, when are you gonna tell him?" She questioned, raising her mug for a sip.
"Who?"
"Harry."
Oh God. I had to tell Harry. Boyfriend of five years, best friend, considerable soulmate.
And somehow the thought of telling him still made me pale inside.
We'd never talked about babies before... Pregnancy or even babysat for a friend! And having a baby meant a lot of responsibility we hadn't considered. We both had far too much on our plates. I had a nine-to-five, he had all of his YouTube biz, and we barely even had time or thought for holidays together, anymore.
"Soon." I gulped, palely.
...
"We're going out for drinks tonight- Mia and Faith coming along as well, you wanna come?" Harry mentioned casually,
"Oh, yeah sure I-" I choked on my breath as I remembered, coughing and burning my lungs as I hacked up a bit of inhaled saliva. Harry's hand found my back, slapping it as though he were trying to hit the cough out of me. "O-on other notes, I think I'll pass."
"You're not one to pass on meeting up with the girls, you got a bit extra work?" Harry questioned, face showing concern as he tried to read my expression.
I turned my back to him, facing the fridge to avoid eye contact as I responded dejectly.
"Yeah." I spoke shortly. I could feel the burning in my lungs slowly sinking in my stomach and sitting like a volcano getting ready to erupt. Every morning, throwing up had been getting worse and worse. It felt as though no matter what I ate (or didn't eat) for dinner, every morning the sickness hit with the same knee-weakening magnitude. I was sure Harry was asleep most mornings when I threw my body over the toilet bowl, given I woke at 3am with the sickening urges.
And I didn't want him to see me throw up all over the kitchen after missing out on an opportunity to see Faith and Mia again.
"You want me to stay? I don't mind staying in tonight if you wanna spend some time-"
"God's sake, shut up Harry." I snapped "Just go without me- I've never stopped you before, have I."
An uncomfortable silence settled between us, tension in the room thick enough to cut with a knife.
I didn't mean to shout at him- I don't know why I snapped.
"S-sorry." He softly spoke, voice filled with downcasted sadness. His voice only made my heart ache more, and I turned to try and meet his eyes- babble an apology- but as I turned to try and meet his soothing blue eyes, I was instead met with the door closing behind me.
The pull on my heartstrings making the tears well in my eyes was clearly too close to the stomach- as I felt my inside swirling, bile building in my oesophagus.
Before I knew it I was back at the toilet bowl, hands clasped around the lid with my knuckles going white as I had whole body shakes. My eyes squeezed shut, throat burning as I coughed up residual acid that lingered in my throat, spitting out all that amalgamated, nauseating fluid in my mouth.
And then after the coughs, it all began dawning on me again.
No more going out for drinks.
No more spontaneous planning.
No more irresponsibility.
Those coughs began developing into dry heaves, tears trickling down my cheeks as my breathing became erratic, broken cries and raw sounds coming from a throat I couldn't even believe was my own.
My body shook with each cry- weak and unstable- and only trembling more as I realised I wasn't just shaking myself. That tiny life form- a consequence of my carelessness- shook with me with each choked sob.
A vibration from my pocket was pulled out with quivering fingers, spotting Georgia's name.
I swiped on on the accept button, lips sealing together as I tried to zone into Georgia's voice.
"Hey girl, you doing alright?"
"M-maybe... Why, has s-something happened?"
"Not really, just wanted to know- have you told Harry yet or are you still-"
I felt that anger building inside me again. It wasn't her fucking problem- easy for her to pressure me- try and advise me and tell me I ought to tell him despite having zero fucking knowledge on what it feels like-
"GEORGIA, FUCK OFF I DON'T NEED THIS SHIT-" I threw the phone out of the bathroom door, hearing it hit one of the bedroom walls. "FUCK. OfF..."
My voice breaking was the last straw before I began losing it hysterically once more. My throat burnt as more acid crept up my oesophagus and found its way into the toilet, tears streaming down my face like a river now- chest rapidly rising and falling as I clutched at my head- everything making me light hearted.
The lights went off after that.
Pulling the pulley down, the lights went off. I didn't want to be seen. I want to see the reflection of a broken woman who I knew was myself. I cried in the dark instead of facing myself and what had happened.
Until I lay back flat against the cool tiles. I had gone through the motions. Dramatic sobs until there was no more liquid and I could only dry heave- to now- simply staring up at the ceiling, eyes tired and breathing steady with the exception of an occasional erratic choke.
It could have been just a few minutes, or a few hours that I just lay there.
Head empty, stomach empty, body feeling completely light. As though I weren't even alive.
I felt like shit.
I shouldn't have snapped at Harry.
I shouldn't have shouted at Georgia.
I shouldn't have thrown my phone.
I'll tell him when he comes back, Georgia, I spoke internally. Promise. For you.
My mind flicked through the variety of ways he could respond to hearing it. Eventually I filtered it down to a few.
Best case scenario: He's too drunk to understand it and just falls asleep, unable to comprehend what I'd said.
Worst case scenario: He completely sobers up and tells me to leave. Get out, blocks me on everything, does everything in his power to never see me again.
Of course, there were also a few alternatives:
Maybe he would start packing and get ready to spend the night at a friend's to sober up- not believing what he'd heard.
It was a possibility he might pass out from the news.
Or he could agree to support me, but only if I agree to abort it- him- her- whatever it was.
That final thought was sickening. I couldn't abort it. Of course - I physically could have it aborted... But I couldn't do that to something living. A part of me. I didn't like the thought of something growing inside of me- but that didn't mean I was going to be cruel enough to kill it. No matter how poorly Harry reacted.
A jangle of keys outside the door was enough to get me onto my feet- rushing back into the bedroom as I heard the front door opening.
"Y/n?" His voice called from the front room.
I jumped onto the bed, finding my phone and running my finger over the dent it had left in the wall. That would need fixing as well.
"Y/n? You around?" Harry's voice peeked around the door, finding me sat on the bed. Hands held in lap, phone clasped between shaking fingers. I looked at Harry's head, hair scruffy, and the smile on his face sincere. And the lack of redness in his eyes and cheeks gave me the impression he hadn't drank - or at least he hadn't drank much.
"You don't look like you've gone out." I commented on Harry's appearance. He smiled as he entered the bedroom, shutting his door behind him.
"Decided to skip." He responded, leaning his back against the door, holding a plastic baggie in his hands.
You should tell him. The voice spoke in my head. I knew I should. And there was not better time than now to tell him.
"I have something to tell you." "I have something to tell you."
I lowered my head and chucked slightly as the two of us let out laughs, our synchronisation amusing despite the fact it felt as though my heart were going to explode in my chest.
"I'll go first," Harry offered, though I shook my head.
"No, I want to-"
"I can- I don't mind, I mean-"
"No, seriously, Harry. I've got something more... uhm, important."
I could feel tears welling in my eyes as I went. The dip in the bed and the heavy arm that made its way around my shoulder indicated Harry at my side. I couldn't hold it in as again, I felt a choked sob make its way from my lips.
"I'm pregnant, Harry-"
I cut myself off with another pathetic sob, my head burying into Harry's shoulder as he wrapped his other arm around me, cradling and rocking us back and forth. My head ached as I let myself cry onto his hoodie shoulder, my hands weakly grasping onto the soft material as the second batch of tears for the day slipped down my cheeks.
I wiped my nose, pulling away to look at my boyfriend after the worst of the sobbing was over, my tired red eyes meeting his own pacifying blue ones.
"I know." He softly spoke, his lips curling up slightly with a small smile as he watched my expression drop to blank slate instantly.
"W-what?" I stuttered, the words not resonating as I suddenly felt so light it were as though I weren't even there. His eyes curved into little crescents as he giggled.
"I know, Y/n, I know, I know, I know." I closed my eyes, breathing in and out deeply, wanting to pinch my arm. Was I even awake?
"Please explain what the hell is happening," I asked with a short laugh, still not really processing what was happening.
"I figured, Y/n. After all the morning sickness-"
"I thought you were asleep during that?"
"I heard the end of your throwing up and toilet flush in the morning... I feel worse I always woke up too late to help you through it. But I noticed your morning sickness, not coming out to drink, the unusual mood changes..."
"Yeah, sorry for snapping at you." I chuckled, and he just rubbed my back. "So... what now?"
"Well, I went out and I got some things for us- sorry, for you." He pulled the plastic Tesco's bag from the side of the bed, digging through it. "I got you some Häagen-Dazs- the praline flavour because I know it's your favourite- and these flowers because Faith advised to get those on the phone- oh, and also-"
He pulled a fluffy piece of clothing and gestured for me to take it. I couldn't tell what exactly the item was, but as I pulled it apart, I realised it was a tiny little baby one-piece, so small it was barely the side of my head.
It was perfect. He was perfect. My boyfriend, my baby daddy, My Harold. I felt as though I could cry again, but refrained as I turned to face Harry.
"So you're... okay with having a baby?"
"...Yeah." He began nodding his head in self-support. "We can do this."
"You aren't mad or anything?"
"Mad?" He looked aghast at the thought. "Bloody hell, no! I'm actually kind of... excited."
I couldn't believe it. A laugh fell from my lips, realising there wasn't any problems. That Harry was fine with all of it. And he supported it. Me. We were going to be fine.
"Fuck, I love you Harry."
He connected his lips with mine and I couldn't have felt happier as the fireworks in my stomach exploded, lips curling into a smile as I realised:
Maybe it was all gonna be okay.

Yandere!Nanami as your boyfriend
now before we start you have to understand that the darkest and twisted part of my heart belongs to this concept of Nanami. This takes place in an alternative universe where Akutami got along with Nanami's original design as a curse user.
this man just had enough with his life as a salaryman and one day he murdered all his coworkers and boss. so this is where his whole personality changed.
Haibara's death, Geto's choosing to be a curse user before him, the higher-ups and their shit, Nanami simply had enough. he stops minding what people could think (since he's basically a crimal with a death sentence on) and surrendered to his most sicking and deepest desires.
now when it comes to you, Nanami met you after his transformation. if he had a partner before, he could have never become a criminal. this Nanami isn't the Nanami we know and love, he's worse, he already killed hundreds of people so why could he be a normal and mentally stable partner?
said that, please beware of:
Warning! ; Yandere!Nanami , nsfw (mdni) , violence and abuse , nc , obsessive and abusive behavior (from Nanami) , physical and psychological abuse , very dark themes , afab reader , evil Nanamin rawr. i swear, this isn't nice at all, so if you're sensitive, please avoid reading
Tumblr media
When Nanami saw you walking alone to your home on a cold Thursday night after a long day of work/study, he simply couldn't take his eyes from you. How weird, this is the first time he has this kind of need.
Nanami slowly started to walk behind you, keeping a distance of two blocks as you kept walking.
Finally, when you turned to a very lonely neighborhood to shortcut your way home, he walked faster and held you from behind, making sure to cover your mouth, — "Shh, shh, shh… Don't make a noise, I'm not planning to hurt you".
Even though Nanami is a, now very sadist and evil man, he keeps his gentleness intact… in his own way.
— "Don't you like it? I bought these specially for you, my dear". Nanami kidnapped you, fortunately he hasn't abused you (yet), he just tries to force you to believe that you're in a relationship with him. Now he has bought a new pair of handcuffs, hinged metal handcuffs. He just wants to make sure you don't run away.
He keeps you in a dark room with a single mattress on the floor and a monitor to watch you. If it wasn't because of the context, Nanami could be the most passionate and romantic man that you could ask for, but he's your kidnapper and you are in a situation of life and death.
That one time you decided to talk back to him you got beaten up in a very nasty way. — "I'm sorry, my pet. But you need to understand that my word is the last one and you shouldn't talk back to me". He didn't even bother to clean the blood from your face or the tears of your eyes that day.
Are you into nudism? No? Oh well, you better start being a nudism enthusiast! Nanami could keep you naked, why would you need clothes anyway? He likes to grope your body and kiss you everywhere, especially after a long day of working with Geto (yes, he's with Geto). — "Hmm… Your skin is so soft, my love. Ah! No, no, no, don't try to fight back. You know that I owe you, this little cunt is all mine".
Now here is where things get bad for you. If you thought that Nanami could never want to use you to please his "special needs" you thought wrong. Yes, Nanami could fuck you even without your consent, he's a massive murdered, he doesn't need your permission or pleasure to feel good, in fact, he likes your face of distress and fear when he starts abusing your holds.
— "Hah… That's it…". This man the devil himself when he gets to fuck you, the only lub he needs it's your (forced) cum after he eats you out, and if he doesn't, oh well, I hope you be a masochist. — "Hmm! Are you crying already? Haha, oh dear, I'm just starting here. I'm gonna fuck this tiny cunt until you pass out again".
Of course, all of this is your fault. It's your fault that you're here with him, it's your fault for walking alone at night, it's your fault for being so freaking beautiful for him.
Nanami is terrifying. Even if you get some kind of Stockholm syndrome, you'll live terrified of him.
Let's say that you behave very well for him, accepting every single kind of abuse he has given you and even loving him back. He won't let you leave his apartment, but you now can walk around it and even sleep with him at night. Now you can even wear clothes! Of course, with no underwear underneath, he needs easy access to your pussy after all.
Even seeing you trying to look outside the window enrages him. He can't bear the possibility of another man wanting you, that's why he kidnapped you, after all, to keep you for him and him only. So that time when you attempted to escape and he caught you, he put the handcuffs on your wrist again and locked you in that dark and cold room again, as a punishment. — "You're mine. If you ever try to run away again, I'll beat you to death".
This man has brainwashed your mind after all these months to make you believe that you have no other choice but to be with him. He knows about your family and has threatened you to kill them if you ever leave him.
— "What if for our anniversary I give your womb a baby? Hmm? Couldn't you like it?". He's being serious, he wants a family with you. — "Oh, I know you don't want any children, dear, I know. But you have to understand that it could make me really happy, don't you want your boyfriend to be happy? What kind of girlfriend could you be if you don't make me happy?"
It's not like you could say no. If you decide to oppose he will beat you up and r word you, so be smart and accept to let him breed you.
— "You're so wet tonight, dear… Fuck, so fucking wet for me". With no other option left, you feel how Nanami is stretching your pussy with his (massive cof cof) dick. The best way to conceive a baby is in mating press, so Nanami is on top of you, with his tongue deep inside your mouth for a sloppy kiss as he's pounding all his cum to your uterus. — "Hah, darling! You're taking me so well, you have been milking me for hours now. Haha! I'm not done yet, I'm gonna get you pregnant tonight". His determination is kinda scary at his point, he's getting you and himself more than overstimulating as he cums for the 3rd time tonight. — "You're gonna look so lovely carrying my baby in your belly. Mhm, just thinking about it makes me hard again".
Getting pregnant or not, you now have to accept your new life. Any concept of freedom or a happy life has been already erased from your mind, now you can only try to bear with your new reality.
Yandere!Nanami is this sickeningly and abusive man. The one who privated you of your freedom, starves you from time to time, isolated you, abused you and forced you to make a family with him. You were so damn pretty that night when he found you, he couldn't just lose his opportunity, and only hell knows how happy he is to have found you.
Tumblr media
good that our Nanami isn't like this at all, right? i'll write something sane and lovely about my man another day ‹𝟹

Hello, I saw that your requests were open and I wanted to ask if I can make one hehe, you don't have to do it or anything like that, but I'll leave the idea here anyway hahaha.
I would like to request a teen! Satoru Gojo x fem! reader and kid!Megumi (or gender neutral) Where Satoru Gojo and reader have known each other since they were little and they are both powerful, therefore when it is time to go on the mission to protect Riko Amanai she is also sent along with Satoru and Suguru,She also suffers because of Toji Zenin and basically everyone is traumatized (here we stick to the canon, doing the daily angst that our dearest Gege gives us..:) ) And basically after the events, reader and Gojo go to Megumi to make Touji's last words come true,I'd like to see a little bit of domestic fluff and a little bit of angst hehe...Reader seeing Toji in Megumi but at the same time wanting to stop because she knows they are completely different people. Happy ending :D
A/n: Thank you for this wonderful request, I'm pretty sure this is the first request regarding JJK in general so yippeeee! Enjoy!
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN (TEEN!GN!Reader x TEEN!Gojo) [ft. KID!Megumi]

"Stay here with Misato, just in case that man manages to make it down here."
You simply nod, looking away. Something felt wrong, you could feel it in your gut. You feel Suguru's hand on your shoulder and you look up at him.
"Satoru's got this, he's the strongest there is. You probably won't even be needed."
You turn to Riko, the sadness building up inside of you. She looked like she was about to cry as well. You had so much fun with her, you'd miss her so much. She rushes into you for a hug, and you hug back tightly, your eyes welling with tears.
"I'm going to miss you." She buries her head in your shoulder. "I'll miss you too, bug."
You let go of her and watch as she walks forward with Suguru, leading her to the end of her life.
You and Misato finally hear the elevator coming down. Satoru made quick work of that guy; it really didn't take that long either.
"That must be him, right?" Misato looks at you, happily.
You start to smile as you felt the elevator growing nearby. Soon it fades, you detect no cursed energy from the lift at all. You start to activate your technique and Misato gets prepared to fight.
The elevator doors open then everything goes black.
"Y/n... Y/n!"
Your eyes slowly open as you wake up with a bad headache. You blink a couple of times and finally adjust to the bright light. Shoko stares at you in relief, smiling softly at you.
"W-What happened?" You suddenly remember the elevator and-
You sit up quickly, groaning in pain and being calmed by Shoko.
"Easy. Easy!" She touches her hand to your back softly, rubbing up and down.
"Is Satoru okay?!" She nods.
The door to the clinic opens to reveal Suguru, a solemn expression on his face.
"Suguru, what's wrong?"
"I gave Riko a choice of continuing to live or to die. She chose to live her life."
You smile, happy he gave her a decision.
"She's...um..."
You laugh softly, smile slowly fading. She couldn't have...
"She's alive and back at home with Misato...right?"
He stays silent, looking at the shiny floor of the clinic.
A sobbing scream was heard from inside the clinic as Gojo listened silently near the door.
╭── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╮
You shoot awake from your bed, looking over at your boyfriend who is still sound asleep. Your hand unconsciously rubs the spot where Toji Zenin's bullet almost killed you. You let out a sigh and escape from the bedroom and into the kitchen area.
"You're fine." You open the fridge, the glow illuminating your face with the most perfect uncomfortable amount.
You lean your head against the fridge door and take a deep breath before grabbing a water bottle. You couldn't help but rest your head against one of the counters and sob. You hated how your traumatic experiences will always come back to haunt you. You wipe your eyes, take another deep breath and take a sip of your water.
Your ears pick up a light pitter-patter sound approaching slowly. You turn towards the noise, observing Megumi with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders, stopped in the middle of the dark hallway.
"Hey Megumi, you shouldn't be up. What's up?" You crouch down in front of the counter as he continues his silent approach.
"I heard you crying and I couldn't sleep." The kid looked so much like him, he scared you sometimes.
"It's nothing to worry about." His eyes are so similar to his father's.
"I think it is if you're crying. Did you have a nightmare?" Everything is similar to Toji.
"So-Something like that. I'm almost an adult, it's nothing."
Megumi just stares at you blankly for a moment before wrapping his blanket-winged arms around your neck.
"Everyone's afraid of something." He leans in closer to your ear, whispering. "It's okay to admit it, I'm afraid too."
You smile and hug him tight, rocking him back and forth on the kitchen floor. He made you feel better, way better than before. He's just a kid, Y/n. He's not his dad.
"Let's rest together, yeah? It might be easier to sleep that way." He nods, tiredly.
You scoop him up and walk over to the couch. You lay on the couch with him cuddled up into your neck, softly breathing. Megumi fell asleep quickly. You brush your fingers through his hair, watching him fall into a deeper sleep. Soon, you follow him into a better dream than before.
⋇⋆✦⋆⋇
Satoru wakes from his sleep and walks into the living room, knowing you got up in the middle of the night. He spots Megumi cuddling with you in his sleep and you hold him tightly.
'Cute...'
He touches the small scar on the side of your head and then kisses it, bending down slowly. You're more comfortable with Megumi and he hopes you'll get closer to him from here on out.

✿ SHUT UP BEFORE I KISS YOU ✿
[•~badboy!toge inumaki x goodytwoshoes!reader, fluff~•]₊˚⊹
[•~synopsis: skipping class with your rebellious boyfriend once couldn't hurt?~•]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"toge! wait!" you holler, as the blonde haired boy drags you across the school. toge didn't listen though, as he continued to take you two to the back of the school. "we're gonna get caught!" you whine. you couldn't afford to have a single offense on your record. you were working so hard to get into the top college, and couldn't risk loosing it all just because of your boyfriend, toge.
toge didn't have the best reputation at the school. he was on the quieter side, but don't let that fool you. he was always known to stir up trouble left and right. always getting into petty little fights, or smoking blunts with his other jerk friends. most students at the highschool often feared him, not wanting to get into drama with him. because it was a known fact that if you had an issue with toge inumaki, you were not getting out of it in one piece.
what surprised all of jujutsu high was when the two of you officially became a couple. for starters you were the usual goody two shoes. always following the rules to a T, always studying and preparing, and you would never dare get involved with anything remotely bad. you were what most kids aspired to be. you had the perfect academic life ahead of you. but what is someone so kind and smart doing with a guy so careless, and risky?
so here you two were, toge was walking you to class, or that's what he had told you. but you noticed that he walked right past the hallway of your class. and then the bell rung, making the two of you tardy. it was the first tardy you've gotten the whole year too. so as you frantically whined to toge, babbling about "my record will be ruined!!, toge please let's just go to class!!" he continued to lead you across the whole school. he found your complaints cute rather than annoying.
"cmon just skip w me this one period" he cooes, his hand giving yours a little squeeze of reassurance. you shake your head frantically "w-what if we get caught??" you panic, thinking about the mass amounts of trouble you would get into. toge chuckles "relax baby, I got you..." he affirms, "plus the administration sucks anyways, they won't be able to catch us." he adds on, leading you to a random empty hallway
it was a no brainer that toge was a pro at skipping class. he knew all the hiding spots, the best hallways and lies if you two did get caught. knowing this you felt a little better about the situation, but you still were hella anxious. toge smirks as he notices you were still very scared.
"you know I wouldn't let anything happen to you right?" he hums, arms around your waist as he looks into your eyes. "right now I need you to trust me Y/N" he affirms, a hand tucking some hair behind your ear. you nod slowly "you promise no one's gonna get us? you know if we do get caught, I'll get in so much trouble" you ask "and I don't want you to get in trouble either, toge" you respond, arms around his neck. the innocence in your eyes evident as you looked right back at him. oh the way you were so responsible and smart. the way you were so innocence just made toge wanna corrupt you even more
toge smiles "promise..." but just as toge finished his sentence, the sound of heels clicking on the cold tile floors echos nearby, the keys jingling along. your heart dropped at the sound and you frantically look at toge, awaiting for his decision. toge quickly grabs your hand, leading you two to the nearest janitors closet. the moment was going by so quickly you couldn't even process what was going on.
the doors of the closet open wide quickly as toge slams them open, hastily shoving you and himself inside. he shuts the doors close swiftly, before looking back at you. the closet was narrow and slim, not giving the two of you much room to move around in. so you two were pushed up against each other. so close toge could feel your frantic breaths on his neck.
"so much for not getting caught?!" you scoff, crossing your arms. and you continued to ramble on about how this was all a bad idea. and how you two were screwed. toge rolls his eyes at your panicked state. you notice he wasn't listening and huff loudly. the footsteps get louder and louder. the drop in your stomach intensifying, your heartbeat was racing and your breaths were rapid. toge on the other hand was calm. he knew the admin would simply walk by. but with the sounds you were making it may cause them to get suspicious.
toge leans in, his breath leaving cool sensations on your neck as he whispers cautiously in your ear. "y/n, I need you to be quiet right now." he commands, the footsteps still echoing in the hallway. you were appalled by his command. how could he expect you to stay so calm while your whole future could be at risk right now?
"calm?! you want me to be calm?! I'm sorry but-" and then boom. toges lips crashed onto yours, cutting you off. you close your eyes and feed into his kiss. the sensation of his soft lips interlocking with yours. you were now focusing on him and him only. toge's hand raced to your waist, the other caressing your face. you let toge push you up against the closet. what started as a soft simple kiss was soon escalating into a heated makeout session. and as your arms wraps around his neck, the sound of the footsteps fade away.
you pull back from the kiss, a string of saliva connects your lips. you whisper softly in his ear, "I think we can go back out now..." you say. toge looks back at you, eyes half open as he reawakens himself from the tranquility that kiss brought him. toge sighs and brings you closer to him, your body now directly next to his, as he whispers hoarsely, "nah we can stay in here..."

you're my home (lucy gray baird x fem!reader)
info: cussing, ever so slight angst, mutual pining, confession, reader is running from district twelve with lucy gray
a/n: it's not weird to have a crush on someone with the first name as you !! taylor swift and taylor lautner did it leave me alone
»--•--«
you stirred from your rest at the bright sunbeams pouring through the trees. and maybe also lucy gray's insistent tugging and repetition of your name.
"holy shit," she grumbles, clearly dismayed. "wake up! we're almost there. gotta get moving."
" 'm up. lord."
you heaved a sigh and arched your back, a tight line of pops rushing down your spine. you took a deep inhale, eyes shutting again as you ran a hand along your fucked up, greasy hair.
traveling on foot for a week isn't the most flattering look.
when you peeled your eyes open, you were met with lucy gray's judging stare beating down on you. considering the way the corners of her lips twitched, though, you knew she couldn't stay annoyed at your heavy sleeping for too long.
"gimme a break, lucy gray. i'm not used to this," you rasped. you rolled out of your tent and lay dramatically on the forest floor. what's a little more dirt, anyway?
she scoffed and her radiance peeked through her exasperated face. the wide smile woke you up a little more.
"should've hung out with the covey more while we were still around the district," she scolds, grabbing your soft hands and wrapping them in hers to pull you to your feet. "might've taught you how to not be a baby."
"maybe. but i ran away with you, didn't i?" you retorted. "i think that makes me pretty grown."
lucy gray's playful smile faded into a more serene one. she simply gave a nod and stepped away, picking up her backpack.
"look what i found while you were asleep," she murmured. she pulled out eggs (poor mother bird), and a bundle of herbs for tea later. your mouth watered.
"no salt and pepper?" you teased, taking an egg and inspecting it. it was heavy. you were hit with homesickness as you remembered your kitchen, which sometimes struggled to stay stocked, but at least you had the chance for butter.
you both decided on soft-boiling the eggs in the tiny pot you begged lucy gray to pack before you ventured off. you sat and ate, peeling away the crackling shell and talking about the journey and whatever else before packing up and hiking through another day.
things were natural with her. hell, everything about her was natural. her beauty was untouched by the standards of the capitol and instead flourished freely. it was evident in the lively bounce of her dark waves and her sunkissed olive skin. you wondered when the last time was you looked in the mirror without picking everything apart, envying lucy gray's outward confidence.
"i still can't believe we're doing this," you spoke up, the silence becoming insufferable.
lucy gray turns her head to meet your eyes, her expression neutral. sweat pooled on her hairline and dripped down her temples. you knew if you reached out to touch her, her skin would be blazing with the power of the sun. good thing she doesn't burn.
"like, running away and all that. i thought i'd rot away in twelve for the rest of my life."
till i met you, you added on silently.
lucy gray laughed.
"a woman like you? naw, i had to steal you away. couldn't let such a beauty go to work in those damned mines."
"you really think i'm that much of a priss?" you sighed, batting your eyelashes at her sarcastically.
"oh, honey, i never said that. sometimes a girl just wants a treat for herself. so i got my treat."
you blamed the high noon for your feverish cheeks.
the minutes turned into hours, and the shadows stretched across the grass. laughter rang across the fields.
"your first kiss was billy taupe? he's so fucking boring, i'm sorry," you cackled, eyes shut tight from hysteria. "sadly for the rest of us, though...next to you, anyone is boring."
"what? first kisses aren't exactly known to be glamorous," lucy gray defended. "besides, i got the real deal after him."
"oh?" you perked up, voice stabilizing. "this mystery guy must be the reason your head was in the clouds...at least, according to maude."
suddenly, the happiness drained from her face. "for a while, i guess. wasn't worth it." you averted your eyes to the front of the scenery. your grip tightened around the straps of your backpack.
"you deserve better. you'll find someone. a hot guy from district four, maybe," you teased, nudging her arm with your elbow.
like me.
"oh, perfect, a fisher! don't even need to buy cologne for his birthday; it'd be useless against that rank," she remarks sourly.
you giggled as her teasing gaze met yours. your grin was mirrored, and you memorized the crevices of her smile lines. her eyes fluttered down to your lips for a brief moment before she cleared her throat and unraveled her map.
you let out a deep breath and looked around. you remembered when you first met lucy gray, frozen and terrified to see somebody else outside the limits of twelve. she eyed you warily from the lake, her lips parted and brow furrowed.
you realized you should probably say something to the girl in the lake, but you didn't know what. she waded toward you and began a less-than-friendly warning before you interrupted her.
"we don't have food. i'm just out here to gather some things."
the girl's voice halted and her shoulders reluctantly dropped from their defensive position.
"thank god."
"what are you doing in there? aren't you gonna get caught?" you inquired nervously, eyes flitting everywhere. the girl laughed brightly.
"those joke 'peacekeepers' don't care about anything that goes on past the fences. not even a covey girl swimming. scandalous, i know."
you stared as the sun washed over her soaked hair.
"lucy gray baird," she offered up her name. "but you can call me lucy gray. that's what all my friends call me."
"i'm..." you started, walking to the edge of the dock to meet her at the water.
she muttered something quietly, bringing you back to the present.
"what's that?"
"ah, just that we should stop here for the night. it's not a good idea to go through the forest in the dark. so easy to get lost," lucy gray corrects herself. you nodded and looked around for a spot.
"there looks good," you suggested, pointing to a spot under a lone cluster of trees. lucy gray hums in agreement before starting towards the spot, taking your hand in hers. your heart skipped.
the sky wept deep indigo, bleeding down into the horizon as the sun sank. insects chirped and buzzed, their calls flowing through the tree leaves and across the grassy plains. the fire was warm; the smell of roasted game and pungent tea carried away in the wind. lucy gray's wavy voice split the thick summer air pleasantly. your eyes stayed fixed on her. her dainty fingers held her tea. a sly smile painted her face.
"you stare a lot," she remarked. "you know that, right?"
your eyebrows raised a bit. you kept looking, wondering how she'd noticed and still hadn't even looked up to meet your gaze. until she did.
god, you loved the way her eyes looked like a cup of black coffee. the way your grandma used to make it. or maybe the tree bark you peeled away from a rotting trunk as a kid. the soil embedded between your fingers after a long day of work.
"i do know that," you responded a second too late. awkward delivery. you swallowed and looked into the towering coniferous forest. shadows crept from beneath the canopy and raised the hairs on the back of your neck.
"we should probably wrap it up soon," you insisted. "put out the fire, get to bed, all that." you picked at a scab till it flaked off.
lucy gray scoffed, setting her tea beside your backpacks.
"the sun is barely gone. just 'cause the birds are sleepin' don't mean we are."
you said nothing in return, still wary of the woods nearby. your fingers pressed firmly into the skin of your arms, which were rested on your knees. you sighed and put your head down.
you felt lucy gray's gaze burning into you. you felt the former scab swelling and the droplet of blood spilling down your arm.
"you messed with it too much. might get infected if we don't clean it," she asserted. you smiled with your head on your knees. lucy gray was making an excuse to touch you. you wondered silently if she felt the same intense heartrate, the same jolt of electricity every time your arms brushed as you hiked through the countryside.
away from all the rules.
you lifted your head and saw lucy gray hurrying back with a damp towel and honey. your brow furrowed.
"what's that for?"
she chuckled as she kneeled down to wipe away the blood and dirt with the towel.
"it'll keep that cut clean. antibacterial properties an' all. trust me."
your breath hitched as the towel made contact with your cut. the gentle sting of raw honey being spread across the wound is what snapped your drooping eyelids back open.
definitely not lucy gray's lips so close to you.
"...hey," she whispered.
"hi?" you responded, smiling a bit.
"it's alright if you're homesick. you can talk to me about it, if you'd like."
you breathed out a long sigh and pressed your forehead to hers. she hesitated before bringing her left hand to rest on the side of your face.
"lucy gray," you began, but struggled to finish. you pulled back slightly to make eye contact.
"i'm not that homesick. i have you," you whispered softly.
"you're my home."
you were met with a tense silence. you wanted to turn and run, because how could you be so stupid to tell her that, and you ruined the moment, and-
suddenly her lips are pressing gently into yours. your eyes widened. the taste of the tea she was drinking lingered on your tongue as she shuffled back.
"fuck! fuck, i'm sorry, i wasn't thinkin'," she apologized, voice shaking as she stared at you. she fiddled with her hands anxiously. you'd never seen her so flustered.
all you did was make your way back to her, cupping her face in a heavy kiss. you smiled against her, feeling her body relax into yours. her hands rested on top of yours before sliding comfortably onto your waist. she pulled back, jet black eyes bright with starlight and exhilaration.
"coming with you, getting away from twelve...it's been the best decision i ever made," you confessed, dropping your hands from her face and instead rubbing her arms. "i've wanted nothing except you for like, a year now."
"we've known each other for almost three years. i'm wounded," lucy gray teased, her fingers unsuccessfully smoothing the top layer of your hair.
"well, was i better than billy taupe?"
"quiet, you."

First Encounter
It wasnt any normal day. Today was Bridget and Gristle's wedding. You and Poppy were super pumped for this. The two of you have been helping Bridget plan her big day for a month. You flew into Bridget's room with the younger pink troll. "Bridget how you feeling?!" Poppy shouted jumping up and down. You smiled smoothing out your dress.

"I'm so excited! I can finally marry the man I love!" The Troll and Bergen giggled together. You smiled sadly. You're so happy for the two of them finding two people they can love unconditionally. However, you've been feeling empty. It just felt embarrassing. You're 34 and still aren't even close to settling down. "Anyway let's sort out your dress!" You shouted clapping your hands together.
The next 30 minutes was trying different dress styles out that Satin and Chenille put together. You and Poppy cringed at every dress. You sat down on Bridget's bed. "Why won't anything work?" Bridget muttered feeling discouraged. You were about to answer when Poppy squealed making you yelp and fall off the bed. "Satin! Chenille! Follow me! We need balloons." Poppy ran out of the room with the two joined trolls following after her. "While they're gone let me do your hair and fix your veil." You smiled at the Bergen, jumping on her shoulder. "Thanks Y/N." Bridget smiled up at you as you got to work.
Time skip
You stood with Poppy and Branch watching Bridget float down in her balloon wedding dress. When you saw it you hid your cringing since Bridget loved it so much, also you knew Gristle would love it. You watched Poppy run over complementing the bergen before popping the dress, revealing the white version of the outfit she first wore on hers and Gristle's first date. You liked this outfit better. You looked over at Poppy hugging Branch's arm watching the ceremony. (The fact RuPaul plays the priest Miss Maxine make love the movie even more!!)
"Stop the wedding!" Everyone jumped turning around seeing a troll jump down. You squinted at the trolls, the sunlight blocking your vision. He jumped down. You eyes widen. That John Dory from Brozone. When they were first a thing you had a massive crush on him. "Sorry for the interruption I'm just looking for a troll called- Baby Branch!" John ran over. You watched the interaction unfold with Poppy. You could tell she was starting to get protective of her boyfriend. When John smacked him on his 'Junk in the trunk' you couldn't help but snicker, earning a glare from Branch. You were too busy making fun of Branch and him having a go at you to that you didn't John staring at you with a slight blush.
You turned back around as John started to explain that Floyd was taken hostage by Velvet and Vaneer. Poppy and Branch decided to go along. "Y/N come with us." Poppy asked taking your hands. "Huh, I shouldn't. I don't want to get in the way." You said looking at the two brothers. "The more the merrier and we need all the help we need." John said smiling. You bit your lip weighing out the pro and cons. "Okay." You said smiling back at him.
"Excuse me, I don't want to wait any longer to get married to the love of my life!" Gristle exclaimed taking Bridget's hand in his. She smiled as a chorus of "aws" could be heard. You all watched as Miss Maxine pronounced them Husband and Wife. You watched as Bridget pounced on Gristle kissing him. You watched with Poppy smiling widely, watching your friend finally get married.
You all bid farewell to everyone setting off to find the other members of Brozone and to save Floyd.
A/N: I haven't written in years damn. I hope you like the first one shot. Especially if you're an John Dory lover.

Just a self aware! Leon Kennedy drabble <3 i purposely left it so you can imagine what game it is for Leon.
Tumblr media
His body was sore; an irritation settling deep within his mind as Leon slowly sat up. His head was hurting; a cut on his forehead that was starting to sting as the sweat running down his temple seeped in before the blood coagulated, and Leon couldn't help but to make a face.
His player was definitely not good at this.
Suddenly, he could feel the game take control of him as you selected a first aid spray for him to use, his body moving without permission, and Leon almost screamed in irritation.
When would you give him a break? When would you take a break? You'd been forcing him to replay this scene over and over to the point that Leon had memorized where all the valuables, ammo, and herbs were. Hell, he could probably shoot the zombies that always came out at the exact place they did before with his eyes closed if you would just let him do it himself.
What was even the point of a Superior rating anyway?
Leon wasn't exactly aware of the rewards system that had been applied to the game, but he wasn't sure if he actually cared. As you forced him to walk around to the same spot you'd both started in before shit went to, well, shit, Leon couldn't help but to mutter.
"I'm getting really tired of this."
Suddenly, control was given back, and Leon was startled before he glanced over his shoulder at the concave hole in the sky that showed him to your world; your eyes wide as you stared at him.
What was up with you?
Leon glanced back in front, feeling strangely put-on-the-spot.
You didn't hear him, did you?
Leon had never tried to interact with you before. He was sure that if he just went along with it, he'd get out of this weird retelling of this moment in his life, but the longer the cycle continued, the more Leon became hopeless and just played the game.
Was it possible there was more to that concave hole in the sky than he thought? Leon felt strange trying to figure out how to interact before his body was jerked forward, the man stumbling slightly as he was forced to walk.
"Here we go again."
He huffed as zombies came out just as they were cued, and Leon's arms jerked up with his gun ready. His aim was unsteady, thanks to your frantic jerking, and every shot continued to miss as the zombies got closer.
Their gnawing, rotting jaws and bloodied limbs were getting closer, his continuously missing shots beginning to grate on Leon's nerves, and he finally snapped.
"God dammit, would you just let me fucking shoot them myself? You're not helping anything!"
Control was given back to him, and Leon shot the zombies dead. One by one, heads exploding, some not, and within no time, all the zombies were finally dead. Leon immediately spun around, pointing at you as he let out all his rage and sorrow from being trapped.
"You've been playing this scene over and over, doing the same shit over and over! It's driving me insane! Why don't you just sit back and let me do my fucking job!"
Your eyes were wide, confused and scared, and there was a feeling of regret that came over Leon. You were clueless about his situation; you didn't understand what he was going through.
Leon sighed before saying to you.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just.....ugh, it's just....I'm stuck in this game and can't find the way out. I don't know what's going on, but I need you to help me. Okay? Just work with me here."
You were shell-shocked, mouth agape, and Leon sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"This is real. I need you to focus for me, alright, sweetheart?"
Your lips finally smacked shut before you came closer, sitting in front of the screen so you could be as close as possible.
"You're saying that....this is....real life to you?"
"Yes. And it's driving me insane that you're replaying this part over and over."
Your face became embarrassed as you rambled.
"W-well, there's this achievement that you can get for this scene, but it's notoriously hard to get. I want to get a Superior rating so I can unlock this one costume they have for you-"
Leon shook his head while saying.
"What? New costume? Look, I need you to be aware of this: it might be a game to you, but it's real life for me. It's like my life keeps restarting every time you reboot. No matter how much time passes after I finally get out, I always get sent back to where we last 'played'. Every time."
You looked guilty, rubbing your shoulder.
"I'm sorry. I....had no idea."
Leon sighed again, shoulders dropping.
"I know, sweetheart. It's a weird situation. I'm talking to a hole in the sky, so I'm not exactly enthused about this either."
You both were quiet for a moment before you asked.
"How can I help you? You're in the game, and I'm just spectating once I start letting you do your job yourself. I don't know how much I can help."
Leon hummed slightly.
"Well, as long as we don't stray too far from the script, I think we can just....complete the game and get on with life. Every time you pause, I'm given back control. Time doesn't stop for me here like you think it does. I'm just free from the control of my player."
You nodded before turning off your controller.
"Alright, Leon."
You then paused, asking.
"Wait, what would happen if we went too far off of the script?"
Leon was quiet, mulling it over before his shoulders shrunk slightly.
"I don't know, and I'm not too keen to find out. We're probably already pushing it talking like we are. Let's just get through this scene. I'm already over it at this point."
You winced again.
"I'm sorry, it's just too quick for me to keep up with...sensitivity of the controller is high, and no matter what I do, it just never hits that perfect balance for me."
Leon nodded before stating with a ghost of a smirk on his lips.
"Well, you won't have to worry about that anymore, sweetheart. I'm kind of good at what I do."
You chuckled slightly, leaning forward the screen more as you nodded.
"I'll take your word for it, Agent. Let's get you out of here."
Leon nodded before putting a round into his shotgun and cocking it, turning towards the path forward.
"Alright. Let's get this done."

Finn Mikaelson x Reader

Masterlist - Join My Taglist!
Written for Fictober 2023!
Fandom: The Vampire Diaries/The Originals
Day 30 Prompt: "Are you with me?"
Summary: When Finn is undaggered and starts conspiring with his mother to destroy the Originals, Elijah calls in the one person who might be able to convince him this immortal life is worth living: his wife.
Word Count: 3,898
Category: Fluff
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
After more than 900 years of being a vampire, not a lot surprised me anymore. But when I woke up one morning to a call from Elijah Mikaelson, surprise bordering on shock was the overwhelming emotion.
I'd picked up the call without thinking about it, without checking the number. Even though I hadn't spoken to Elijah in hundreds of years, I still recognized his voice in an instant. He asked if he'd dialed the right number to reach me, and all I could do was exist in shocked silence for a few long moments.
I waited to respond for a few extra moments after snapping out of it, briefly debating hanging up. If it had been a different Mikaelson sibling, I would have done it. But if Elijah had tracked down my number to call me, I figured it must be for something important.
"...Yeah, Elijah, it's me. What do you... what do you want?"
I could hear his heavy sigh on the other end of the line, and I had to bite back a laugh. Once upon a time, I'd started to consider that sigh of exasperation the familiar gesture of family.
"Niklaus has broken his curse," he finally said. My heart stopped dead, but I tried not to let it show in my voice.
"Okay. And what does that have to do with me?"
"Niklaus also managed to kill our father, Mikael, and now that he's succeeded... he's undaggered our siblings."
"What?" I breathed. This couldn't be real. I must've been dreaming or something.
"He kept his word to me, albeit after taking advantage of a loophole," Elijah continued. "Finn has been undaggered, along with Kol and Rebekah. We're in Mystic Falls."
I sat down heavily in the nearest chair, my mind reeling. I'd been in love with Finn from the moment I'd met him, literal ages and lifetimes ago. We'd been inseparable from the moment Finn first started courting me, and although his family initially had mixed feelings, Finn had turned me and we'd gotten married with (mostly) full support.
And then, about fifty years into our marriage, Klaus had gotten angry at Finn, and daggered him. I'd spent about another fifty trying to get him back, until Klaus had almost killed me. He'd told me the next time I made a "rescue attempt", he wouldn't hold back. I was ready to keep going anyway, until he also threatened to dump Finn's body in the ocean, never to be found. I couldn't risk him following through. So I'd mourned the love of my life as if he was dead, and then I'd ditched every last other member of his family for good.
Until now. The thought that he was back, finally, free from that stupid box... It didn't seem real.
"Elijah, I've had very little issue with you in our long, long lives, but all the same... why should I believe you?"
"Why would I lie?"
"For Klaus."
"To accomplish what?"
I paused at that. I racked my brain, but I couldn't think of anything the middlest Mikaelson would possibly want with me. If there was something, I would've heard from him before now. And I hadn't. He'd left me alone for the past 850 years.
"Finn has been undaggered for a few days," Elijah continued, correctly reading my lack of protest as a green flag to continue. "I used my connections to track you down because we have a problem, and it seems like one you would be best able to solve."
Now it was my turn for an exasperated sigh through my nose.
"So you did call me for an agenda."
"One that serves you and Finn both." I rolled my eyes, and although Elijah couldn't see it, I had a feeling he knew what I was doing. "Our mother has mysteriously returned from the dead. Like our father, she is determined to wipe us off the Earth, as she feels our current forms are abominations. Unlike our father, she's been trying to talk us into agreeing with her and choosing to end our own lives."
I gasped, a scowl making its way onto my face. I didn't exactly love all of the Mikaelson siblings, but for a mother to try to convince her own children to kill themselves was absolutely horrific, no matter how many times I'd thought about killing her children myself.
"She hasn't made any inroads with any of us," Elijah reassured me. "Except... for Finn."
"You're joking."
"I'm not. Since being undaggered, my brother has expressed freely his feelings that immortality, especially as a vampire, is a curse that he wishes to end. My mother has only fed this mindset, and now I fear the two of them are working together to end all of us."
"And what do you want me to do about that, exactly?" I asked, even as I moved around my house to start packing a bag. If there was even a glimmer of hope that I could help Finn, I would. Even after 900 years, I knew if the positions were reversed, he would do the same for me.
"I'm hoping you can talk him off the ledge, so to speak," Elijah answered. "Keep everyone alive and well."
"I'm going to stop you right there, Elijah. It feels like you're building to threatening Finn, and I've had enough of that from your family for a million more lifetimes. I'll be there later today. Just tell me where I can find Finn."
"...I'll make sure he's at the Mystic Grill. It's a restaurant in the middle of town, you can't miss it."
"Great. See you in a few hours."
I hung up before he could say anything else.
Quickly, I finished throwing my things into a bag, then hurried out to my car. I had no time to waste if I wanted to save Finn.
Luckily for me, the drive only took a few hours, which gave me time to process everything Elijah had told me and that I'd have to face in Mystic Falls. It still didn't feel quite real that I was about to see Finn again.
That hazy dream finally faded when I walked through the doors of the Mystic Grill, my bags still in the car. I scanned the room and like a heat-seeking missile found Elijah in a corner booth, sitting across from someone who still had their back to me. The last time I'd seen Finn, he'd had hair down past his shoulders. But even from the back, with a new haircut and modern clothing, I knew it was him.
I quickly crossed the room, my heart speeding up with every step, until I stood before both of them. Elijah immediately turned to look at me, but I only had eyes for Finn.
He looked remarkably good, considering he'd been in a box for 900 years. He stared at Elijah with a raised eyebrow, then slowly turned to follow Elijah's gaze until he saw me.
The world stopped, and everyone else in the room disappeared. Finn, my Finn, the one I thought I'd lost any hope of ever seeing again, the man I loved beyond all else, was here. Sitting before me, looking at me with familiar hazel eyes. Alive.
"Finn," I breathed, the smallest of smiles tugging itself onto my face. An instant later, thanks to vampire speed, he had me wrapped tight in his arms. He breathed my name into my hair, so quietly that even Elijah's super-hearing probably didn't catch it. I squeezed him tight, a few tears leaking out as I did. He was back. He was really back, and alive. No dagger or gray skin or anything else that haunted my nightmares.
"How did you know I was here?" he finally asked, pulling back with awe on his face. I smiled and nodded towards his brother.
"Elijah found my number and called me. Can we talk?"
Finn glanced back at Elijah with slightly narrowed eyes, then looked back at me.
"...Yes. Lead the way."
I didn't know the town any better than he did, but I also didn't want to hang around the Grill in earshot of Elijah for this reunion, so I pulled Finn towards the door. We wandered towards the park, and after a quick scan of the area to make sure we weren't being eavesdropped on, I led him to a bench where we could sit together.
"I'm... so happy to see you, Finn," I said, taking his hands in mine and fighting to hold back another round of tears. "I hope you know... I tried to get you out sooner. I really did. I just... I wasn't strong enough. I am so, so sorry."
He shook his head, squeezing my hands a little in reassurance.
"It's alright. I'm glad I'm getting to see you again."
"Before you let Esther kill you?" Finn's eyebrows shot up, and I pursed my lips. "Elijah told me what you're planning to do, Finn. It's why he called me in the first place. I would've come running no matter what, but none of your siblings would've reached out to me without some other motive. We both know that."
Finn sighed through his nose and shook his head.
"And that is exactly why our time on Earth needs to come to an end. Monstrous behavior like that has become normal for them. For us. It has to stop."
"Does that include me?" Finn's gaze had wandered to other parts of the park, but it snapped back to me at my words. "Your umbrella of monstrous vampire behavior that has to stop. Am I under it just by virtue of being one?"
He sighed, staring down at our joined hands for a long, long time before looking up at me, pain in his eyes.
"I wish I could say no. My heart wants to say no. But... you've lived a long life in the years I've been gone. I don't really know you. Not who you are now."
I looked away, the gears turning in my brain as I nodded thoughtfully. He had a point; I had changed a lot in my 900 years wandering this Earth without him. But I still loved him, and I hadn't changed so drastically that he wouldn't recognize the new me.
"I have an idea," I said, turning back to him with a smile. "Let's go away together. Come back home with me for... a week. Let's get to know each other all over again, and I can show you why I've decided it's worth it to stick around all these hundreds of years. Alright?"
Finn frowned. "I don't know... my mother-"
"Has had her time to make her case. And if you really want to, you can come back here to her whenever you want. But you're my husband, Finn. Nine hundred years, and I've only ever loved you. So now it's my turn."
The barest hint of a smile quirked up the corner of his mouth.
"It seems like you haven't changed much, in a few ways at least."
I grinned. "I didn't need much longer than we had together to get good at telling off pushy family members of yours. The only one who's ever bested me was Klaus, and I don't intend to ever let that happen again. If your mother's trying to walk you off the ledge... she's gonna have to go through me."
Finn sighed, pulling me to my feet with him as he stood. I worried for a second, until his small smile reappeared and he met my eyes.
"Let's go home, then. For a week. Wherever 'home' is for you."
****************
I wasted absolutely no time loading Finn into my car and getting the hell out of town. It was going to be a lot of driving for one day, but it would be worth it. I had no intention of letting any of his family members get in my way. I'd never even had to unpack my bag.
As we left Mystic Falls behind us and pulled onto the highway, I put on my favorite playlist and shot Finn a grin.
"How much have your siblings caught you up on everything you missed over the last nine hundred years?" I asked. Finn frowned and shook his head.
"Very little. Do we really need to be going this fast?"
"Yes," I said, pointedly hitting the accelerator as I got up to speed with the rest of traffic. "Don't worry, I'm a fantastic driver. I promise it's normal and safe."
"Hm." Finn nodded, still looking a little unconvinced, so I reached over to take his hand.
"First lesson on the wonders of life, Finn: Road trips are the best. We've got about four hours to cruise, talk, listen to music, and stop for the most deliciously, bad-for-you food imaginable."
Finn huffed a small laugh. "I suppose that could be fun."
I grinned, cranking up the volume on the song playing, one of my favorites.
"I'll take it!"
****************
Slowly, over the course of the rest of the drive, Finn loosened up a little. He'd always been the most formal and reserved of his siblings, but when we were together, he'd always relaxed around me. This time, it took a little longer to get there, but around the second hour he started laughing at my stupid jokes and asking questions about things he saw that he found interesting. By the time I pulled up in front of my house a few hours later, he had a smile on his face and the tension had mostly eased out of his shoulders.
"How long have you lived here?" he asked, eyes surveying the house as I grabbed my unused bag out of the backseat.
"Oh, probably close to a decade. I've had the house for a lot longer than that, but I move in and out pretty regularly, since it would be obvious to my neighbors after a while that I'm not aging."
Finn nodded thoughtfully. "And does that ever bother you? The constant moving, the lying. The leaving."
"Sometimes," I said with a shrug. "But I like traveling and exploring the world. This way, I get to do that while also having a home to come back to after everything. It's more often than not been the best of both worlds for me."
"Hm. And do I need to be invited in?"
I grinned. "Nope! The house is mine. Unlike your siblings and quite a few other vampires, I haven't spent my eternity making enemies, so at least so far I haven't needed to keep other vampires out."
Finn chuckled, and the sound made a warm feeling grow in my chest. He looked happy, and seeing him glowing as he walked towards the front door of the place I called home was exactly the thing I'd been dreaming of for 900 years.
As if on-cue to interrupt my moment, my phone rang. I glanced at it to find Elijah's number staring back at me and huffed a sigh.
"Finn, would you mind taking my bag inside? I need to take this."
"Of course, my love." He gave me a soft smile as he took my bag, then headed for the front door. I watched him for an extra second, the fading light of twilight painting the world in a soft glow, then answered my phone with a sigh.
"What do you want, Elijah?" I said, not bothering with a hello. I turned my back to Finn and walked a few steps away, hoping he'd be too focused on the house to listen in on my conversation with his brother. I didn't want anything messing up our week away, especially not family drama.
"Where is Finn?" Elijah asked, his tone a bit demanding. I narrowed my eyes.
"Why do you need to know?"
"Because, as I remember mentioning to you, he's in the middle of trying to plot with our mother to kill all of us. I'd like to be aware of his location and progress for my own sake, and the sake of my family."
"Finn is family, and family you left rotting in a box for nine hundred years," I spat. I took a deep breath, getting my anger slightly more under control, then continued. "Finn is with me. I'm going to spend some time with my husband, thank you very much, and hopefully throughout the course of that I'm going to convince him it's worth telling your mother to go to hell to stay here with me. Our goals are aligned in keeping Finn from letting your mother destroy your entire family, Elijah, and that knowledge is just going to have to be good enough for you. We're supposed to be family, too, so you at least owe me that."
I hung up before Elijah could get another word in. I shoved my phone back into my pocket, then took a couple deep breaths before finally turning back around to head into the house. I was going to enjoy my week with Finn, and I was not going to let anyone get in our way.
I wandered inside to find Finn just sort of standing in the middle of the room, looking around. I showed him around and helped him get settled, and the two of us spent the night the same way we'd spent the drive, talking and telling stories and catching up after being apart.
We made dinner together, and I introduced Finn to the wonders of boxed mac 'n cheese before convincing him to sit down and watch my favorite Disney movie with me. It was late, so we went to bed right after the first one, but Finn seemed to enjoy it enough that he'd probably want to watch more after we got some rest.
For the first time in a long time, I drifted off with the comfort of Finn next to me, alive and well. I was determined to do whatever it took to avoid losing him ever, ever again.
****************
The next week felt like heaven on Earth. Finn and I quickly fell into a new, easy, happy routine together, exploring the place I'd called home for so long during the day (while also getting him more caught up on the modern world) and watching ridiculous movies on the couch together long into the night. I didn't want it to end, but I knew that if we disappeared for too long, Esther or one of her other kids would come looking for us. Finn and I needed to settle the issue once and for all, sooner rather than later.
But first, I had one last trick up my sleeve.
"So... we're supposed to go back to Mystic Falls in the morning," I said, leaning my elbows on the counter as I met Finn's eyes across the island. "But there's one more thing that I do as a regular part of my vampire life that I'm going to keep doing, no matter what. Fortunately for both of us, I think you might like it too."
Finn raised an eyebrow, and I gave him a soft smile before pushing off the island.
"Come on. Follow me."
He did, without hesitation. I tried to hide just how much that made me smile.
Finn and I walked from the house deeper into the downtown area, where people still walked back and forth despite the late hour. Finn carefully took in all our surroundings as I led him along, falling back into my normal routine.
As an immortal with superstrength, superspeed, and mind control, I was safe walking around at night basically no matter what. But also as a woman, I remembered plenty of times where I hadn't been safe. Or where I would've been in serious trouble if I hadn't had superpowers on my side. So, on a regular basis, and even more often when I started feeling down about being a vampire, I walked around at night acting as an avenging shadow, making sure any woman I came across got home safe. Crime rates tended to drop, at least for a little while, in whatever city I lived in and various muggers realized they had a real-life, superpowered Batman going after anybody trying to hurt people in the shadows.
I ducked into a dark alleyway, and Finn followed me, still looking curious. I smiled at him, then explained what I'd been doing for the past 900 years. As I spoke, a smile appeared on his face and steadily grew to a beaming pride I hadn't seen since our first few years together.
"That is... an excellent idea," he said, still looking at me like I'd hung the moon. I smiled back.
"Thank you. I've been back here long enough that I don't think we'll find too many things to put a stop to tonight, but... what do you say we look anyway?"
Finn nodded. "I'll follow you."
I took Finn's hand and pulled him along with me down the rest of the alleyway, ducking into the nearest bar on the other side. After grabbing a few drinks and compelling a few leering men to change their behavior, we popped back out onto the street to clear the next place.
Finn and I worked like a charm together, like we'd been working as a team for the last 900 years instead of just me by myself. Although the city was fairly safe, we still found plenty of ways to make an impact, and had a blast together going from place to place too. When we finally went back home around two in the morning, we were both laughing, and I swear Finn seemed lighter than he had all week.
"Well, that was my pitch," I said, flopping backwards into bed. Another perk of vampire speed was how quickly I could get ready for bed, especially when I was this tired. "I hope you liked it."
"I did. I liked it very much."
"I'm glad." Finn laid down next to me a beat later, and I rolled over to fix him with a smile. "So, how about it, Finn. I say we ditch your mom and the rest of your siblings, like I've been doing for centuries. Live our eternity together, doing good and just being happy. What do you say? Are you with me?"
Finn sighed, his gaze roving over every inch of my face. With every second the silence stretched my stomach churned, worried I'd failed, or that I should've waited until morning to ask, or a thousand different things I should've done differently. Finally, Finn's jaw clenched and he sighed through his nose before bringing his eyes to meet mine.
"I am with you. Always and forever."
I surged forward, rapidly closing the distance between us to wrap Finn in the tightest hug imaginable. After a second he wrapped his arms around me, too, holding me against his chest. I could hear his heartbeat, steadily reminding me he was here with me, and I absolutely never wanted to let go.
"I'll call my mother in the morning," he muttered into my hair, rubbing soothing circles on my back. "Tell her I'm not going to help her. There's too much worth living for, and plenty of ways to exist without being monsters."
"And I'll call Elijah. Tell him you're officially stepping back, and to keep the drama the hell out of our life together once and for all."
Finn chuckled, the sound vibrations rumbling through his chest. With Finn officially here to stay, with me, the way we should've been a long time ago, I felt more at peace than I had in a long, long time. And I was going to make sure nothing ruined that peace, ever again.

Day 9: showering/bathing
Tumblr media
Masterlist flufftober 🎀
Reblog if you liked it!
The aroma of the candle burning in the room had you completely relaxed and the salts in the bathtub were helping to reduce inflammation from your muscles, quite tired from the day's effort. The toiletries they were using had been a gift from your husband and, honestly, you were appreciating his choice of the lavender line right now.
After a few minutes, only God knows how many, a sound outside caught your attention and then you became alert for a possible thief. All your fears were washed away when a familiar voice called out your name and you had to summon your willpower not to run out of the bathtub to greet him.
"I'm here!" you half screamed. It didn't take him long to discover where you were and when you saw him walk through the door a smile spread across your face.
“Hello, princess,” he greeted you and if it hadn't been for the fact that you were submerged in the water, you would have practically melted. He looked tired, but he still walked up to you and gave you a gentle kiss on the lips. “I didn't expect to find you like this. But I'm honestly not complaining.”
“You can join,” you said, batting your eyelashes flirtatiously as he sat on the closed toilet lid “I'm glad you're back, by the way. Did everything go well?”
“We solved the case faster than I expected”
Spencer's absences could last from a few hours to an entire week and that was something you had already gotten used to, but what you couldn't quite adjust to was the physical toll that work took on your husband. You would never dare ask him to leave, however, that didn't exempt you from worrying about him.
“That's good to hear,” you responded cordially, having already turned a little on the tub and with your head resting on your arms leaning on the edge of the porcelain.
There was a moment of silence, not at all uncomfortable, in which he kept looking at you.
“You look so pretty like this.”
“Naked?”
“Relaxed,” he corrected you, chuckling at your usual sass.
“I was serious when I said you could join.”
“But I probably stink and have sticky skin, love.”
"So what? Anyway, you’re going to take a shower,” you argued, reaching out to caress his leg “Go on, get naked for me.”
Spencer was never the flirtatious type and perhaps it was because of those indecent comments you said all the time that he was still in love with you. Without offering much resistance to your request, he took off his clothes, to the delight of your eyes, and when he was completely naked he got into the tub with you, maneuvering to stay behind your body in the small space.
"How long have you been here?"
“Not much since you arrived,” you confessed.
You could barely move, but you managed to reach out to the sponge at your side and took the man's arms to start washing them, carefully and carefully. While you did this, he left a few soft kisses along the length of your shoulders and every so often he sighed with satisfaction at your attention.
You turned until you were leaning on his lap and took some shampoo between your fingers to wash his hair, which had already grown a little since the last time.
“Are you using the lavender set?”
“Mhm” you hummed happily “It was given to me by my cute husband who hasn’t stopped seeing my boobs since I turned around.”
“Sorry, I'm just a little distracted right now,” he laughed, but without sounding sorry at all.
You let the shampoo rest on his scalp and then took the sponge again to scrub his slightly tanned chest with the same affection. Spencer followed your every movement attentively, feeling intoxicated by your care and the faint scent of the candle in the room.
You might think that married life gave you many moments like these, but the truth was that among so many obligations sometimes you didn't have much time and you two were grateful to be able to be in that intimate and homely position, even if it was just for a short time.
“Do you feel better now?”
“Much better,” he sighed, reaching over to hold your face and place a kiss on your cheek, the wedding ring glistening in his left hand “I read a good book on the trip back here, do you want me to tell you about it?”
“Sure,” you responded happily, adjusting yourself so that you were once again pressed against his chest.
He began to tell you about an astrophysical phenomenon that he had been interested in for the past few months. You listened very carefully to each of his words and enjoyed his kind palm caressing your side while he spoke in your ear, taking the time to explain everything that was unknown to you.
If someone asked you where else you would have liked to be, you would have chosen nowhere else than that warm bathtub.

Last Night
Tumblr media
Last night we let the liquor talk, can't remember everything we said but we said it all
"Uhh, hey. It's me...obviously, since you have a phone made after 2005. Anyway, I just...wanted to tell you I hate the way we left things last night. Forgot there was a reason I don't drink too much tequila, it makes me an insecure asshole."
You said you wish I was someone that you never met, but baby something's tellin' me this ain't over yet
"I'm shit with emotions, I know. And it's not an excuse! But hearing you say that you wish you'd gone to a different bar instead of the Hard Deck that night? That...that's something that will haunt me forever. I hate that I hurt you that bad. I wouldn't trade a single second with you for anything and I know we've got so much more in store for us."
No way it was the last night I kissed your lips, made you grip the sheets with your fingertips
"The first time we barreled through the door, leaving a trail of clothes to the bedroom, I knew you were it for me. The thought of never seeing you with white knuckles, hands tangled in the sheet and my hair as you try to keep quiet since Javy is asleep in the other room punches a hole in my chest."
Last bottle of Jack we split a fifth, talkin' bout life and goin' sip for sip
"How could I let something that I only associate with happiness become so bitter? Fuck, I hope I didn't ruin that memory. The one on a blanket in the sand, you sitting between my knees and leaning back against my chest by the bonfire a few dates in. Sharing secrets and dreams along with shots straight from the bottle."
You know you love to fight, and I say shit I don't mean
"You're the only person that can honestly call me out when I'm being a dick and you keep me on my toes. Nobody's ever been able to keep up with me, verbally throw down with me the way you do. And I don't think there will ever be anyone who can. I know I talk out of my ass a lot, but I took it too far and I know it. I just...I know you're too good for me. Rooster tells me I don't deserve you and that you could do so much better all the time. I'll deny it till I die if you repeat this, but he's right. You could have anyone in the world, yet you chose my dumbass. I guess I thought if I could be the one who did the hurting, it wouldn't hurt me."
But I'm still gonna wake up wantin' you and me
"I just keep waiting for you to wake up and realize you don't want me anymore. I got scared and took it out on you and I'm so sorry. I woke up yesterday wanting a life with you, and I still do today. I want all my tomorrows to have you in them. You're it for me, darlin'. Fuck, I shouldn't be dumping this on your voicemail, but I couldn't go another second without telling you this, didn't want your day to start without knowing how much you mean to me. You were sleeping so peacefully when I left this morning that I didn't have the heart to wake you. Let me know when you wake up, yeah? I'll try and get my lunch to be whatever time works for you so we can eat together. If you want, I mean. You have every right to be mad at me and want some space. I'm not above bribery and groveling, so I'm offering a trip to the food truck market where I'll buy you all the things and won't even complain if you spill ranch in the passenger seat! Um, anyway. I'm about to walk into the hangar so I guess I gotta go. You're the best part of my life, honey. I love you so much. Hopefully I'll talk to you soon. Umm ok, bye."
•••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Uhhh, hey. It's me, obviously..."
My back is leaned against Jake's chest, a nearly empty bottle of tequila is dangling precariously between his fingertips and hovering above the sand.  I don't even remember what caused our conversation to end up where it did when Jake replies to whatever I just said.  "Yeah yeah, we both know you're just biding your time with me until something better comes along."  The bite in his reply throws me for a loop.  "...what?"
"I'm shit with emotions, I know."
"We both know I'm just a stepping stone, the one you're only meant to have fun with before you move onto the forever guy."
"What the actual fuck, Jake?!  After all the plans we've made, together might I add, you really think that about us?"
"I'm not the forever guy.  I've accepted it, it's fine honey.  I just wish you'd cut me loose sooner rather than later."
"Wow, I don't like this version of you at all.  If this is the you I can expect, I'd tell the me from the night we met to find a different bar to drown my sorrows in."
"The first time we barreled through the door, leaving a trail of clothes to the bedroom, I knew you were it for me."
"You're not as subtle as you think, you guys!" I wake up to find myself sprawled across Jake, my cheek plastered to his bare chest that's rumbling with laughter. I look up to find a horrified Javy standing in the doorway, burnt orange lace pinched between his fingers stretched out in front of him.
"Jake, honey, you really shouldn't leave your unmentionables out for anyone to see." I manage to make it through the sentence without laughing but burst into hysterics the second the last word leaves my mouth, the boys are tumbling into laughter themselves.
"Sharing secrets and dreams along with shots straight from the bottle."
"I'm terrified of being Maverick. In the words of Rooster, with nobody to mourn me when I burn in." The look on Jake's face is somber, revealing the unabashed truth to his statement.
"I'm scared of being convenient. Growing up, my dad only spent time with me when it worked for him. He never went out of his way to do something with me like he did my brother. He never missed a single baseball game of his, but I couldn't tell you how many cheer competitions he missed because he was too tired to come." We'd promised each other then and there to never let that happen. He'd never be alone while I was on this planet and he'd go out of his way to make me feel wanted and important.
"You're the only person that can honestly call me out when I'm being a dick and you keep me on my toes."
"Jacob Tyler Seresin! That is a crock of shit and you know it, now go hug and make up." I'd yelled at him when he shamefully told me about the less than savory things he'd popped off about to Rooster and Phoenix. I'd bought them a hug it out shirt last time and had every intention of whipping it back out if need be and he knew it. "Yes ma'am." He'd huffed before making his way across the bar to do as I asked. Before he could get too far, I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back to me. I'd leaned up to his ear and whispered "don't forget, good boys get rewarded by their orally fixated girlfriends." With a wink and a kiss to his cheek, I'd shoved him off in his original direction.
"You're the best part of my life, honey. I love you so much."
Tears were pouring from my eyes by the time the voicemail ended. Jake Seresin is the cockiest, most intelligent dumbass I know, but he's the love of my life. Every single glimpse of my future has him in it and I wouldn't change that for anything. A quick check at the time says it's a little before 7, meaning he left a little over an hour ago. I think over my schedule for the day as I go through my morning routine. I have a doctor's appointment at 10 but should be done well before noon and am off the rest of the day. I send Jake a message real quick and move to dry my hair.
Tumblr media
I run a few errands after the appointment and Jake meets me at the house at noon on the dot. He walks through the door with a sheepish look on his face that borders on fearful.
"I have a bone to pick with you, and you're gonna sit down and listen to me, ok?" I demand and he nods, sitting on a barstool at the counter.
"You're it for me too, Jake.  You have been since you charmed your way into my life by teaching me the proper way to throw a dart.  You gotta talk to me, though.  Because our baby isn't gonna grow up with parents who don't communicate and sporadically blow up at each other.  Ok?" I question.
"Absolutely, darlin'.  Never again," he promises.
I don't waver from my spot opposite from him at the kitchen counter and pin him with an expectant look. He raises his eyebrow, silently questioning me back.
"Wait a minute.  Did you just say our baby??"  He hops out of his seat at the realization and makes his way around to me.
"I was wondering how long it'd take you to pick up on that," I smile as his hands land on my hips.  "You were so busy throwing your pity party last night that you didn't even notice I wasn't drinking.  That's what the appointment was for this morning.  Looks like you'll be getting a new wingman in about 8 months."
Jake's palms find my cheeks and pull me impossibly closer as his watery eyes land on mine.  "God, I don't deserve you."  He tells me as he wraps me in a tight hug.
"Hey!  Don't you talk about my baby's daddy that way," I smirk.  "I was before I even found out about the little nugget, but we're in it for the long run, cowboy."
Jake steals my breath with a passionate kiss.  My lips pull the desperate fear from his body and replace it with unyielding love.  I break away and look into his bright green eyes.
"Now, I recall you mentioning food trucks?  It would appear peanut has their daddy's appetite.  Also, I texted Mav and told him you'll be out the rest of the day.  Let's go, lover boy!"  I slap his ass to bring him out of his stupor and we make our way to the truck hand in hand.
There was never another night like last night.
Forgot how much I loved this one until the song played in the car on my way home from work 🥹

how they lose you
characters: malleus, leona, ace
cw: major character death, wounds and blood (leona), brief mention of blood (ace)
note: not my best work but i just wanted some good ol’ angst 🤌
Tumblr media
Malleus: inevitably
"You know this isn't right." Lilia said with a sternness that he so seldomly displayed, arms crossed and gaze piercing. "You've kept them for what, hundreds of years?"
Two hundred and thirty-two, to be exact. Malleus kept his silence.
"Look, this is your decision, not mine. But you can't cheat death forever. The longer you go on-"
"I get it, Lilia."
With a brief shake of his head, Lilia walked down the hallway and vanished into the shadows.
Malleus remained as still as a statue for another minute outside your room. It wasn't as if he wasn't aware that there was a limit to how much he could do to keep you alive, but what was he to do except to go on?
It seemed that time didn't give him the choice this time.
Mustering a gentle smile, he knocked on the door and entered. The sight of you lying on your bed made his heart squeeze. Your lunch remained untouched on the nightstand.
"Malleus," you raised your hand weakly, and he strode to capture it.
"Hey, my dearest. How are you feeling today?"
A forced chuckle came out of you. "Could always be better."
In the strained silence, he took a seat by your bed and clasped your hand, bringing it to his lips. You looked as young and endearing as the first time he'd met you, but the shine in your eyes, the one that would always brighten as you took him in, had long vanished. In its place was hollowness. A husk devoid of life.
Magic was not invincible. It could prolong your lifespan for longer than you could ever imagine, but it couldn't shield your soul from the passage of time. It could preserve and care for the flesh, but not the mind.
And here you were, jaded, waned.
"Lilia was just telling me," he started, though every word felt like the worst betrayal to himself. "He thinks we've gone too far."
"Have we?" There was a moment of hesitation in your eyes. "What do you think, Malleus?"
"I think you have spent far too long living for me, my love. I'd like to know how you really feel."
The silence was deafening as he waited for your answer. He understood that you loved him with all your heart, and he was no different, but somewhere in there, he'd known all along that you were only doing this for him and his happy ending. You couldn't bear to burden him forever with grief, so you proposed using magic, spells, potions, anything that could grant you more seconds.
It was great at first, but a long life was lonely. People came and went like wind, and no one ever stayed long enough. Malleus would know. Everytime he sat beside you as you mourned for another lost friend, he felt as though he'd been the one driving the blades into your heart, forcing you to shoulder the brutality of eternity with him.
At one point, life became wearisome. You could not escape the Sisyphean cycles of life, the constant loving and losing, the mountainous weight all these feelings and memories put on your mind. You were never meant to live this long and feel this much, but you kept going anyways, staying for one last hug, one last kiss, one last day where you could pretend everything was fine.
But it was not fine, and Malleus had hogged you from death long enough. The expiration date had long passed.
"You know I love you right?" Your voice pulled him back to reality. He nodded surely.
"And frankly, I would do anything just to be with you till the end of time, but the truth is," you flexed your fingers, wetness forming around your eyes. "I can't… I can't feel your touch anymore. I know that you're here with me, but I always feel so far away. It's like someone is beckoning me home, even though you're my home. I'm trying very hard to fight it, and I–"
He put his arms around you as your body shook from the tears overflowing from you. If it was decades ago, it would be enough to calm you down, but he couldn't pretend anymore. Time was banging on the door, demanding what belonged to it.
As powerful as Malleus was, there were still things he couldn't win against.
"I know we've spent a long time together, but it will never be enough. I will always have new things to tell you about, new places I want to go with you, new discoveries to marvel at together, but I'm at the end of my line. I can't go any further," you buried your face in his hair, taking in a shuddering breath. "Do you think we can try something else? Doctors, medicines,..."
Yes, there's always something else, Malleus wanted to say. Yet the moment he felt your tears scorching his skin, he knew that his love for you could never be blindsided by his selfishness. If it was something that made you happy, he would go to the end of the universe and back to get it.
And if you wanted to let go, even if it took everything in his soul to accept it, he would make sure to be there as you took your last breath.
"I don't think we will ever have enough time together, love," he fought against the louder voice in his head. "But the years we've spent together were nothing short of amazing, weren't they?"
You made a sound of agreement.
"I believe we have tried our best and loved each other to the fullest. That is enough for me."
"That is enough for me too." You chuckled wetly. "Do you think you could… ever find love again? For my sake?"
The thought of his hand in someone else's felt like someone had misplaced his limbs or cut off one of his nerves. It felt wrong.
"I don't think I can ever love anyone else as much as I love you."
"Alright," you drew his face up and met his lips with a note of apology, but within there were also longing, gratitude, hopes and wishes for a happier future. All the things you couldn't fit into words had been encompassed into this tender act, spilling into him, pushing the sorrow in his heart away.
Somewhere in the middle, he reckoned that this felt just like the first ever kiss you'd had together: tentative, gentle, scared to hurt, yet as magical as constellations colliding. You'd always had the ability to make him feel like the brightest star in the whole, wide sky.
With a few more farewells and arrangements later, he found himself seated on the balcony, overlooking all the sharp-edged pointy hills. The night sky was chasing the sun away, the last rays of light fighting through the cracks of mountains. You rested your head on his shoulder, fingers intertwined with his flawlessly.
"This is a bit scary," you confessed quietly.
"It's okay, I'm here." He squeezed your hand. "It's only you and me."
Once you'd given him your final nod, he wrapped his other hand atop of yours, and closed his eyes. All the magic that'd been fueling your body streamed out into his touch. Each memory, each laugh, each cry, each confession, each rejection, the whole of your life flowed under his touch. It was the most beautiful thing he'd ever felt.
He knew he could still pause this, but he wouldn't. Even as tears streamed down his face, even as he had no idea what the years ahead would be like, he kept on drawing the spell out of you. Even as your hands turned calloused and wrinkled, even as your hair turned into the color of snow, with all the years catching up on you, he still insisted to grant you the peace that you deserved.
As the sun sank under the dark silhouettes, the air carried your voice to him one last time.
"It's only… you and me."

Leona : a hollow victory
The fight had ended. There were no more cries and shouts for blood, instead replaced by relieved sighs and triumphant cheers.
Leona’s heart was still drumming in his ears. Fatigue paralyzed his body. All around him were debris and a gooey dark ink, a byproduct of overblots. He reckoned that he was a skilled fighter, but this monster far stronger than everything he’d encountered before. Even with the concerted effort of what was basically the whole school, the lengthy and demanding battle still sapped all magic out of him.
He would probably need a whole week to recover, at the bare minimum. In fact, he could pass out on the ashy ground now, but there was something else on his mind.
He trudged past student after student, saw a few of them crowded together with tears of joy shimmering in their eyes. The longer he went searching, the more restless he felt. Possibilities flitted across his mind like a supercut of all his greatest fears: a body that wouldn’t answer, a wound that could not be salvaged, a pool of blood on the ground.
The thoughts were just about to drive him insane when he spotted you walking out of a thin cloud of smoke, where a wall seemed to have collapsed. There was a limp in your steps as you pulled your jacket closer around you, but you were okay. Thank the sevens, you were okay.
“Leona!” You noticed him a moment later, your mouth curling into a smile that trembled at the corners. He was too relieved to notice that, as well as the thick scent of blood that clung to you. It was probably someone else’s.
The distance between you shortened quickly thanks to his large strides, and you gripped onto his arms immediately, checking him for any injuries. It was ridiculous that you would even think that he would be wounded, but he let you look, bathing in the knowledge that you were both still here.
“How do you feel?”
“Tired as hell. I need a nap right this instant.” He said.
“Of course you do,” you cupped his face with your shaky hand, an intimacy that he usually preferred to be exclusively private, but right now he couldn’t bring himself to care. It was just both of you and a war that was finally over.
Leona hadn’t realized how on edge he had been before this confirmation. His blood was still pumping with adrenaline, the fear that something else was coming looming over his head.
“You’re smearing ink on my face,” your touch left a sticky wetness, and he scrunched his face up. “Come on, let’s go find others.”
“Yea,” you followed him by your interlocked hands. “Okay. We’re going to find others and get a nice rest. Then we’re gonna… we’re gonna…”
You couldn’t make more than five steps. First Leona felt your hand on his bicep and heard you weakly asking him to slow down, then the slip of your hand, the slump of your body.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” He questioned, cradling you tightly. There were spikes in his throat as he pushed the words out.
“Nothing,” you tried to mask the shake in your voice with a chuckle, but it only came out as a pathetic wheeze. “I'm… sorry. I just had to see you again.”
As you grabbed at his hand again, the jacket fell away. Blood rushed away from his head as he took in the large, red gash on your abdomen, tainting the air with the thick smell of iron.
Frantic eyes shot up to the hesitant bystanders before he barked out, “Call for help! Now!”
“Hey, calm down,” you tugged at his hand feebly.
“I should’ve never let you out of my sight. Screw those friends of yours,” he gritted his teeth, holding onto you for dear life. “You’re alright. You’re alright, just hang on-”
“Leona, breathe,”
He didn’t realize how hysterical he sounded until he stopped, breaths hitching as he tried to clear his head, but his mind split into thousands of voices, all demanding him to do something about your life passing in his arms, pulse by pulse.
“How do you expect me to stay calm in this situation?” He hissed.
“Mm. I suppose you’re right,” you laughed dryly. “But I need you to listen to me first, alright?"
After mustering enough energy, you continued, "Promise me you'll be fine. Promise me that you will-"
"Sevens, no. Don't you dare pull this shit on me."
"Leona, you and I both know I can't make it."
Of course he knew– there was no way this amount of blood loss was normal, and he could feel how your body weighed heavily in his arms with nary a strength left in it. But you were the one thing he couldn't bear losing. He would rather admit defeat in the battle than lose you.
Before he knew it, there were hot tears running down his face. He wanted to scream at the world at its unfairness, at its cruelty, at its sheer audacity at snatching what he cherished the most away once again, but not even he was clever enough to have predicted death.
"Just promise me you'll be fine, please? I don't think I can go seeing you like this."
It would be a lie, you and he both knew that. He would never get used to your absence, not when you'd been the one who broke down all his high, prideful walls and saw him as who he truly was, not when you'd been the person who made him feel hope after all this time, not when he still had so much of his future planned out for the both of us.
Though he couldn't break your heart, could he? Especially not now.
"I promise." He bowed his head, touching your forehead with his. Even his tears were warmer than your skin. Your breaths slowly turned labored, each one fanning his cheek until there was nothing left.
"Hey," you sighed. "At least we won, right?"
His body shuddered when your hand finally slipped away. He pulled back and held your face between his hands, whispering your name in hope that you would wake up, if only just for a second. The only response was silence. It gnawed at his insides until there was nothing left but the cold wave of grief that seized him, scraping his throat as it came out in the form of a guttural cry.
The dust had settled, everyone celebrating their long-awaited victory. But Leona didn't feel like he'd won at all.
Tumblr media
Ace : at the wrong time
Deuce had often berated Ace for the occasional harshness of his words, and rightfully so. He just never thought that they would bite back at him one day.
It was just an insignificant argument, one that took a turn for the worse only because neither of you were willing to back down. He’d offhandedly said something mean, and you hadn't taken well to it. A few clashes of wounding and stinging statements later, he had his back to you as you stormed out of his room.
He realized that evening that perhaps he’d made a mistake, that he couldn’t really sleep well without making up. There were times when he wondered whether there were venoms under his tongue that dipped everything coming out of his mouth in hate. But he supposed that it was just easier to be bitter than honest.
The sleepless night filled his guts with remorse. He was determined to make it up to you. It would be easy, he’d done it a few times before— a nice tart from the local bakery, optional flowers, and a sincere apology to revoke all the things he’d spat out, that would go something like,  no, you’re not annoying, I just wanted to one-up you because I couldn’t admit that I’m at fault , or that line about how you weren’t worth my time? Sorry, I crossed a line there.
His sharp words ate away at him. Their weight only sank in after he’d blurted them out. The truth was, you meant to him a lot more than he was willing to admit. It’s just that he got clouded by his ego sometimes and forgot how you were basically the best thing that’d happened to him.
But that’s alright, he was going to make it up to you, and hopefully you would forgive him.
Perhaps the true mistake here was how he took everything for granted— your forgiveness, your love, the time that you had together. He never imagined that you would be taken away from him, not this soon, not this unexpectedly.
Yet the truth still stood as he held the phone to his ear, the few spoken words dancing in his head: night, attack, critical. He was going to tell Deuce to knock it out until he heard the choked sobs strangling his voice.
He was no stranger to danger. The two of you were always getting into all kinds of mortal perils, ranging from forgetting Crewel’s homework to being chased by the overblot form of his short-tempered dorm leader. But the difference was that he had always been there with you.
All of his facades, all his dumb hope that he was just dreaming vanished as soon as he saw you on the bed, so serene that he tried to wake you up with a ‘hey’. But you were not going to wake up, and your hands had long gone cold.
Crouching next to your body, e imagined you, alone in the dark, shouting for help. He imagined your life trickling out of you along with the blood. He imagined you thinking that he never loved you in your last seconds, even though he did, so much.
The pain came in spasms, shooting out of his heart and spreading to his limbs. His voice was laced with desperation as he clung to you, begs and bargains spilling out of him like a broken dam. He would give anything to turn back time, to take back all those things he’d said. It had never crossed his mind that he would have to change himself, but he would now. If only you would wake up, come back to him, he would try harder to be someone you deserved.
But there was no rewinding time, and nothing he said could ever bring you back. His love and apology hung in the air, and eventually returned to him as a knife lodged in his throat, a reminder that he hadn’t been there for you when it mattered most.

Love Yoru and Asa, but I dunno how much romance is actually in this thing. It's pretty long compared to my usual word count, so I don't know how spread out it could be or if things are rushed.

➸ Aside from the gore, I don't believe there are any other content warnings either. Don't know how well this flows because none of my work is beta read and I was also losing motivation by the end of this because I cranked this out in about two or three hours.
All things considered, you were adapting to your new life in Japan pretty well. At least, it felt like it.
Communication wasn't an issue, which was a relief - Neither was money, but your biggest problem so far was being directionally challenged. It complicated your routine to the utmost degree, and what was supposed to be a simple shopping trip had taken more than three hours because somewhere along the way you'd taken a wrong turn. Which was why, in your current moment, you were wandering aimlessly around the backstreets of Kyoto, meandering closely to the nearby high school. Silent as it was at the current hour, it still felt weird knowing that if you never left home, you'd probably be stuck in a building like that for hours on end.
You weren't though, and you were also lost. Which seriously wasn't fun, especially when you had a younger brother at home left unsupervised.
What was even less fun, though, (besides the thought of a rouge twelve-year-old boy) was the lack of people around you. Sure it was late, school was finished and the teenagers had cleared the food stalls and vendors and had already gone home, but it wasn't late enough that people would be tucking up in their homes already. The sun was still peaked beyond the horizon, casting pale light amok the city - The streetlights weren't even on yet, and yet the roads were emptier than a bucket with a hole in the bottom.
You weren't sure if that should make you feel relieved, or even more anxious than you already were.
Your first thought was a devil attack. They were common enough, and although the living embodiments of fear preferred more public areas (more fear to feed on, you assumed?) that didn't mean the weaker devils didn't slink around alleys like shifty cats when the darkness fell. And it was that thought exactly that kept you from calling out for help.
It was certainly a nerve-wracking thought, that was for sure, and a part of your new life that you weren't ever sure you were going to get used to. At least back home, devil attacks weren't nearly as common as they were 'round the streets of Kyoto. Sure, you'd go through attack drills like any other school, but luckily for you, you'd never had the misfortune of meeting one face-to-face on the streets. You couldn't even imagine the pure terror you might feel in that scenario - The pungent fear, the visceral pounding of your heart in your ears, the fight-or-flight instinct failing to kick in, maybe even the sickening, cloying stench of iron blood swarming your nose-
Huh. That wasn't good.
That sickly sweet, cloying iron scent of blood was swarming your nose.
You froze, rounding the corner, feet rooted to the ground. You almost flinched at the wet squelch that met your shoe instead of the steady tap against worn, greening concrete. Didn't have to look down to know that pools of blood were lapping seamlessly on your brand-new shoes. You didn't know what made you wince more, the price of the now ruined shoes, or the feeling of pungent fear that struck you at the unsightly view of bulging intestines flung around the wider street in front of you.
Gross - Disgusting. There was no immediate threat, you deduced after a second or two of not being attacked. No, the devil that made this mess (inadvertently or otherwise) was sprawled in the middle of the street, gangly, twisted, fuzzy and bulbous body blocking the road like the world's most horrific barricade. It wasn't moving, fur clogged with blood and flesh and guts only wavered with the faint breeze, but its sides didn't heave like it was breathing, although you weren't entirely certain that devils had to breathe. 'It could still be a trap' Was the thought that bullied its way to the forefront of your mind, and yet you still couldn't find it in yourself to move.
For the first time in what had to be a good long while since you'd left the store, you saw someone else. At first, your heart froze as the bee-like body of the devil shuddered and shook - It rolled onto its side, spilling more of its entrails onto the path. They slithered up to you sluggishly, like a trash heap toppling over, but the insectile face filled with jagged and snaggled teeth was blank as ever. There was no life behind those eyes, but you were more focused on the girl who'd effortlessly posed herself atop the body of the beast.
She wore a school uniform, you noticed, paired with an otherworldly cutlass held firmly in her right hand. The world around the two of you was eerily silent, ear-splitting and ringing in your mind. You clutched your bags a little tighter, the plastic crinkling, rustling ever so slightly in your fist.
The hunter whipped around to face you - She couldn't have been much older than you, but her darker hair framed her face fiercely, fire-ringed eyes glaring you down with such hostility that it almost gave you whiplash. She didn't budge from her spot, but her shoulders drew up tightly as she held her weapon in front of her defensively.
You just blinked - The smell of blood wasn't as pungent as when it first hit you, settling over you like a blanket. You just lifted your shirt, covering your nose as you waved the brooding, mysterious and most likely murderous stranger over to you. From where you stood, you could see the way she froze, face twisting from a scowl into confusion, before the crisscrossing scars on her face literally melted into her own skin, leaving her in perfect condition.
The sword clattered mutely against what looked like a misshapen lung, and the girl set her foot down firmly against the joint of a broken leg. It gave out immediately, and you could only watch as she yelped and tumbled haphazardly from the corpse into a pool of blood. The aura she'd been carrying up until that moment disappeared the second she looked up at you again. Her eyes no longer glowed like red-hot embers, mellow brown eyes looking nothing but defeated.
She shook herself once and heaved herself to her feet, shuffling over to your relatively clear patch on the fringe of carnage.
"Hello?" Her voice cracked awkwardly. You couldn't help but purse your lips sympathetically.
"Hey," You began, reaching into your pocket. Just your luck that you had a clean packet of tissues packed. "I was just wondering how to get back to the main road. I'm new to the area, and I'm kinda lost."
You offered her the tissues, and it looked like she was about ready to cry at the gesture.
"Oh, uh, sure. I could walk you," She froze, dabbing the blood from her cheek, "-only cause I also need to walk that way," Her face pulled into a grimace, and she subtly flinched as if someone was poking fun at her. She opened her mouth a few times, gaping like a fish before her face flushed red. Without another word, she hurried around the corner you'd just rounded, and you just followed without another word.
She didn't talk, never glanced in your direction to see if you were following her. You didn't mind, though, because you were just happy to see life slowly returning around you - Moreso the sounds of traffic and chatter and city ambience that you'd slowly lost over the past few hours. The joy of finally returning to a place you could somewhat navigate diverged your attention, so by the time you turned to at least thank your guide, she was already long gone.
It wasn't really your problem if she didn't want to stick around. What was your problem was the little brother you'd left at home by himself. You hoped that the apartment was still in one piece by the time you'd made it back.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You finally visited the school. It certainly looked different teeming with student pushing and shoving their way to freedom. It also felt a lot different, seeing people your age running around in uniforms, talking to friends and passing by you without a second look. The uniforms, in particular, gave you a pause - They itched your brain in the most peculiar way until you remembered why. The same girl you'd met about a week ago, the one who'd slain the bee-like devil, had worn the very same uniform. Albeit, hers was doused in blood and cuts, it was no doubt the very same one.
That was a thought for later. You tapped your foot impatiently against the ground, waiting for your brother to finally make an appearance. You supposed his tardiness was payback for the time you got lost and spent hours wandering the backstreets of Kyoto, but you couldn't help but feel impatient.
He appeared a second later, thankfully, surrounded by a group of kids his age. It was nice to see him fitting in, especially after he'd only been going to his new school for about a week, although you had to admit it was funny seeing him freeze as soon as he saw you waiting at the front gate.
"Why are you here?" He scampered away from his group, looking more nervous than annoyed. You fixed him with a perpetually bored look.
"I came here to walk you home, idiot, why else? For shits and grins?" You quirked an eyebrow. He sighed and sagged his shoulders.
"But… I was gonna hang out with my new friends…" You gasped dramatically.
"And you were gonna make me walk home all by myself?" Your brother cringed. You felt nothing but satisfaction. With a sigh, you pat him on the shoulder.
"Just be back in time for dinner," You paused and set him with a stern expression. "And steer clear of devils, alright? I want you back in one piece."
He only gave you a big smile and a rushed thanks before running off, quickly rejoining his group. You shook your head and stretched your arms, noticing how quickly the crowds around you had thinned out around you.
"Oh, it's you again," You turned on your heel, coming face to face with the same, sharp-eyed dark-haired girl you'd briefly met a few weeks ago. Her face was riddled with scars again, clean cut, rough against her pale skin. You furrowed your brow, wondering if your memory was playing tricks on you.
"It's me? You were the girl who killed the devil, right?" You just had to make sure. She puffed up, eyes practically glowing orange and she fixed you with a pompous look.
"That's me. I'm an expert with any sort've melee weapon," She waved her hand as if shooing away an annoying insect from her ear. "But that's not why I came over here," Her eyes gleamed, "I was just wondering if you wanted to go shopping with me, y'know, have a walk around?"
You did a double-take.
The idea sounded nice, making a new friend, and there was a regular food vendor that you'd been meaning to try recently. But the idea of going with a stranger you'd really only just met set of alarms in your brain.
'However…' She was admittedly pretty. Those bright eyes that seemed to peer into your soul, a sharp, clean smile with long dark hair. 'Plus, it'll be in public, right? Plenty of other students and people around.'
"Yeah, sure, I have time," You missed the way her smile grew ever so slightly, stretching just further than a human could naturally.
However odd the situation was, you couldn't deny it was nice to finally have someone other than your brother to talk to. Admittedly, it was also odd how her bravado slipped the minute you turned to walk into the city, but you also found the marine life facts she sputtered out like she'd rehearsed were entertaining. She just seemed happy that you didn't seem bored out of your mind.
Asa Mitaka, you learned her name was. Wasn't usually one to talk to people, and she said it was a miracle she was able to muster up the courage to talk to you in the first place. She pointedly refused to make eye contact most of the time, which was fine in your opinion since at least the conversation was kept in a lively ebb and flow you weren't entirely used to.
She talked with an edge to her voice, not an annoyed one, but rather a nervous one. You didn't really want to ask about it, seeing as you used to do something similar when you were younger, however, Asa beat you to the punch.
"I don't have many friends - I had one before, but, well, she died in a devil attack not too long ago," She peered through a window store, just looking at the array of shoes that were for sale. "I mean, I haven't had many friends at all. Just the one." You stepped up next to her, but she just peered sadly beyond the glass.
Brown eyes. You squinted. Perhaps the light turned them orange. You once knew someone whose hazel eyes turned yellow under the light. Orange wasn't too far from brown.
"Maybe we can be friends," You asked, almost absentmindedly. Asa whipped around to stare at you, her mouth hanging open. Her eyes flickered back and forth - From your face, to behind you, maybe. She worried her bottom lip between her teeth nervously and didn't say anything.
That made your heart twist a little. Ouch.
Taking a break from the sun, the two of you were stopped at a vending machine under shade, grabbing a few drinks. It was mostly quiet aside from the sound of the machine working, clanging softly as coins were inserted. You were leaning against a wall when a little thing approached you out of the corner of your eye.
"Aw, cute. Kitty cat," You kneeled and reached out your hand, letting the feline sniff your fingers before it rubbed its head along your palm. Asa made a noise halfway between a choke and a squeak before shuffling a few paces backwards.
"Yeah, cute," She seemed preoccupied, whispering something urgently under her breath. Which was odd - You were going to ask if she was okay, but Asa was suddenly in your face before you could react, those same, orange-ringed eyes staring into your very being.
Orange. Not brown.
Preoccupied, a hot flush covered your face.
"Come with me. I wanna show you something cool," The bravado was back, oddly enough. No trace of the nervous high-schooler, but rather, the cool, confident and dangerous devil hunter you'd seen the first time you'd met eyes.
The change made you nervous, but also, you couldn't really say no to a pretty and confident girl asking you to come with her, especially when she'd been so heartening throughout your entire afternoon. She sealed the deal by taking your hand in hers, wrapping her lithe fingers confidently around your own in a way that made your heart thud errantly in your ribcage. Starved for human touch, you followed her as she tugged you along with enthusiasm.
It made butterflies tumble around in your chest, a sense of happiness and friendship you hadn't known in a while. It made you feel like a normal teen, running through the city with their friend, laughing happily together. You didn't have to care about making dinner, or phoning your parents in another country, or worrying about bills - You got to just run around without care plaguing your brain. You didn't care about the people you ran past, didn't even care as the streets thinned and people slowly appeared less and less around you. You didn't even realise that Asa had dragged you into something that was nothing less than an alley.
You only realised when she'd stopped laughing and was instead standing stock still between you and your freedom.
You also stopped laughing. Your heart dropped deep into your stomach.
"Ah, shit," You puffed, still catching your breath. "Well, I guess it was a dumb mistake to follow a stranger through the city." You tried to laugh away the atmosphere - You wanted to believe that you'd make it back home to see your family again, but somehow, seeing Asa's burning orange eyes made you doubt the chance that that would ever happen.
"Not surprised. Humans aren't the smartest," She offhandedly remarked, watching you like a dingo would watch a human baby. Although, no, that wasn't entirely right. There was a cold, analytical feeling behind it, not a sensation of hunger. But that word, the little indication - 'human.'
"You're a devil."
It was less a question and more of a statement. Asa smiled and cocked her head.
"A devil you couldn't even begin to fathom," Those same ringed eyes burned, pinning you to the wall. You furrowed your brow, gut-twisting and your neurotically swayed, judging how far you could possibly make it before she could close the distance.
"Lay it on me. I'm pretty smart," Were the dying words you chose to go with. However scary a devil she could be, Asa was also still in the body of a high-school girl. The sight wasn't particularly scary compared to the devils you'd seen in the past.
"You're bravado won't save. It certainly didn't save my host," Asa reached out her hand toward you, pinprick eyes staring you down with such complexity. The visage reminded you of an owl.
"I am not Asa," Asa began - "Asa is a part of me, and I am a part of her, yet, in the end, we are two different beings." You tilted your head.
"Then, who are you?" You shimmied against the wall, trying to perhaps slide your way to freedom.
Asa closed the distance instantly, digging her fingers into your scalp with such ferocity that you could feel it digging into bone with enough force to pin you to the spot, but not enough to shatter your skull instantly.
"I don't have a name, but I go by Yoru - The devil of war."
.
"(Name). Spinal cord sword."
You held your breath.
Nothing happened.
Yoru furrowed her brow.
"(Name). Spinal cord sword."
Her face morphed into a scowl, and then a snarl.
You gave her a look, one that asked 'what the hell are you doing' and you knew she knew exactly what you were thinking.
"What the fuck - Why isn't it working?" She let you go, shoving you painfully into the wall. You were dazed, now had a sore head and probably a minor concussion, but you were alive and your limbs weren't twisted into a gorey weapon. Your eyes focussed just in time to see Asa, or Yoru? Punch a hole in the nearby brick wall.
"It's because of you!" Yoru shouted at a patch of empty air. "You and your stupid human feelings and your pathetic nature to fall in love with someone who shows you a smidge of kindness and your stupid nature infecting my mind! Sharing a body with you has done nothing but hinder me!"
Yoru howled and whined like a toddler, bashing her fists against the same wall she'd punched a hole through, clutched her hair with her face screwed up into a childish scowl. She whipped around to stare in the vague direction she'd done so before, her scowl deepening with her teeth bared in a snarl.
"I AM NOT STUPID!" And with that, the anger was gone. The scars were gone, too. Her eyes were a rich shade of brown, deep, with flecks of gold and faint rings that seemed reminiscent of the war devil's own eyes. You had no idea if it was the influence of the devil herself, or if Asa's (?) eyes naturally looked like that.
An ear-splitting silence settled over the scene. Asa slumped against the wall, curled into the pit of carnage Yoru had carved with her bare fists. She just sat there, staring blankly ahead, eyes hooded and squinted as if someone was yelling at her. You were in a similar boat, head pounding, trickling of blood dribbling from your hairline, down your face and dripping onto the concrete below.
"So," You hummed. Asa flinched, but she didn't stop staring into the empty air ahead of her. "What the fuck was that all about?"
"That, uh, was Yoru." She didn't say anything else.
"And Yoru is the war devil?" Asa nodded.
"Mind explaining what's going on?" Asa finally pulled herself together, physically.
"It's a long story," She offered, trying to pull her hair into a pair of twintails.
"Well, I have to make dinner. Fancy staying over?" The words were out of your mouth before you could even think about them. Why you were inviting the war devil over for dinner, or at least the host of the war devil, you had no idea. But you just had one question you really, really had to ask.
"Hey, do you know why she's such a baby?"
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"I'm heading out, be back soon!" Your brother yelled into the apartment, shrugging on a jacket.
"Don't fill up on junk food and don't talk to any weird devils, 'kay?" You yelled back. Your brother paused and looked at you before nudging his head in the direction of the other room. You scoffed.
"You know damn well what I mean!" Your brother laughed and locked the door behind him as he left.
Yoru appeared in the doorway as he left, a loaf of bread tucked under one arm with a slice hanging from her mouth.
"Where's he going?" The devil sat next to you at the kotatsu, absentmindedly watching whatever was playing on the tv set.
"To hang out with friends. He probably won't be back later so don't eat all the goddamn soba this time," You pointed your pen in her direction. The devil didn't seem particularly threatened, so you made a mental note to put aside a bowl for your brother.
"Hey, Yoru? Quick question," The devil grunted. "When will I see Asa again? Not that I don't appreciate your…" You paused and looked her up and down "Wonderful companionship, it feels weird to only see one of my girlfriends on a near daily basis."
Yoru scoffed and shrugged.
"When Mitaka can take control of this body, she's more than welcome to hang out with you," Yoru took the piece of bread she'd been eating and pressed it against your lips. You quirked an eyebrow but took a bite of the offered piece of bread. You decidedly didn't comment on her eating it plain, as last time resulted in a forty-minute tantrum including someone called 'Fami'.
After a moment of silence, Yoru stopped and grinned sharply. The same smile she gave you back in that alley all those months ago.
"Are you bullying Asa-" Yoru reached forward and grabbed you by both your wrists "-again?"
"Yoru?" The war devil smirked like a bitch.
"Yeah?"
"You're doing this to tease Asa, aren't you?" Yoru only cackled.
"Perhaps."

Asa is crying and shaking at the end. She can't believe Yoru would do something like that in front of her.

"Mmnph.. hmm!"
With every thrust there came a whiny moan or hum from his lips. He was so desperate for this, he didn't even bother to take all his gear off. His helmet and breastplate were laying on the floor next to the creaking bed, mask pulled up past his mouth just so he could kiss your soft skin, his trousers were barely down to his knees with your underwear being merely pulled to the side and out of the way just enough, being slammed into missionary and immediately being rutted into. If he told you that he'd sniffed some sex pollen, you'd believe him.
With the amount of lube being used along with your slick just so he could fit inside you, plus that sticky feeling from how many times he's filled you up already, you couldn't hear anything but those wet, squelching noises of his cock moving in and out of you at such a rapid pace.
Your hands were stuck in place, your fingers intertwined with his as he kept them pinned next to you head. But it wouldn't have mattered anyway because you could barely bring yourself to move from the sheer amount of pleasure he'd brought on you.
"My- mmnghh,, My love- gotta fill you, gotta fill you.." He'd repeat to himself as his hot breath hit against your neck, practically slobbering all over it with the open-mouthed kisses he'd place down. He was completely pussy drunk, he couldn't get enough of the feeling of you squeezing and pulsing around him, so warm and wet and everything he could ever dream of. Mix that in with an overly sensitive, overstimulated König from cumming inside you so many times now and he's crying out, sobbing into your neck and unable to keep his hips from relentlessly pounding into you.
You couldn't think, completely fucked silly and dumbified from the constant pounding he was giving you.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck! Schatz!" He mewled as he painted your walls white once again, his hiccups mixing in with the weak moans you were letting out yourself.
It was only a matter of time before he began to rut into you once more, still clearly not satisfied.
"K-König... plea- mmnf!" And just like that, his cock was pounding against your spongey g-spot over and over and over again, "Too much,,"
You managed to mutter out among your moans, completely helpless against the man of pure muscle pinning you down
"Just one more, p-please, Liebling! Please, please, please.. feels so good..!" He'd beg you so kindly, so of course you didn't stop him.
Finally moving a hand from your wrist, he brings his thumb down to your swollen clit, massaging it as he thrusted into you like his life depended on it. Your moans only became louder as you approached your millionth orgasm for the night, not caring for whoever could hear outside the room.
All the wet noises, the slapping of skin together, the way his balls would slam against you with every thrust, it was all too much.
"That's it, oh g-gosh... just like that-" was all you could say before you could feel yourself letting go, your release creeping up to you. König's hand quickly moved to slam over your mouth in a despair attempt to keep you quiet. You couldn't help but let out a final symphony of muffled moans and whines as you climaxed over his cock once again. Your mouth stayed agape against his hands as he continued to fuck into you, chasing his orgasm a final time.
His goddamn libido was going to be the death of you.
His hand moved back down to your hips, grabbing onto your soft flesh as he pulled them down each time he thrusted into you. The way he'd come completely undone from his own doing was a beautiful sight to see. The way he sobbed into your neck from the overstimulation was a constant reminder to you how much he craved this every single second of the day.
It felt like forever until you could feel him becoming close once more, his hands gripping your hips as if his life depended on it, pulling them up into an angle so his cock reached even deeper inside you, just kissing your cervix and causing you to squeal out.
His dirty talk turned into his classic, incoherent babbling, only able to make out little words such as 'please', 'yes', and 'fuck'. He let out a final girlish cry, his face buried into your neck as he filled you up one more time.
Your moans had finally died out while he was stuck with his face in your neck with heavy breaths and small sobs emitting from his mouth. Your hands were still shaking as they move upwards and under König's veil, moving up to the nape of his neck and running your fingers through his hair.
"You.. Y'still with us, König?" You ask in between breaths, hearing him swallow and feeling him nod. You couldn't help but smile and let out a small giggle, causing him to giggle meekly back with you.
He finally moved you back into a comfortable position, massaging your hips where he'd gripped them so tightly in a prior attempt to sooth the ache he knew would soon creep up on you.
"You did so well." You'd praised him, earning another flustered giggle as he'd relaxed from his high.
"I'm sorry," You'd heard his muffled words as he pulled himself away from your neck, finally pulling his veil off and taking in a deep breath, revealing his tear stained face, "I got your neck sopping wet!" His voice was nasally, still in the aftermath of all that sobbing.
His face was cute like this, reddened cheeks, huffing in the fresh air he's finally got access to, the way his glassy, puppy dog eyes looked up at you with a wide smile on his lips. You placed a small kiss on his nose before a whine escaped your mouth as you felt him pulling out, again, earning another giggle from him at your reaction.
"I'd say you enjoyed it more than I did, Schatz!" His bashful attitude had depleted and been replaced with his silly little giggles.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." You'd reply, pulling him in for a kiss. His hands gently caressed all over your hips, your waist, your chest, before finally landing on your cheeks, feeling your soft skin with his calloused hands before you pulled away, "I love you so much."
"Ich Liebe dich, Schatz."
"Go clean up, you smell like sex and sweat. And.. bring us a warm towel maybe. I don't think I can stand."
"Yes, Ma'am." he replied, pulling his trousers back up and rushing out of the room, taking his giggles along with him.
When he made his way to the bathroom (which was so extremely conveniently not connected to the bedroom), he made sure to knock, hearing a voice yelling 'coming!', evidently causing him to let out another snicker as he thought back to just moments before.
Soon, the door slid open with Gaz walking out, noticing the little smirk on König's face.
"Your face is pretty red there, big guy. You doing okay?"
He quickly nodded with another chuckle.
"Sorry, just in a... giggly mood." There was nothing to be laughing at, yet all the thoughts come rushing to his head at once, earning another snicker. As König prepared the warm towels to clean you up with, Gaz made his way back downstairs, taking a seat next to Soap.
"Think they're doing drugs up there. König was giggling like a madman."
"Sounds like a blast, I want what they're on."

Hope you enjoyed!
