recently i reread a bunch of my favorite sherlock holmes stories (norw my beloved) and felt compelled to create my own diagram for 221B

I enjoy that he is very flawed and volatile. #This episode of the audio drama has a lot of great breakdown scenes featuring JC - and they all deserve a feature. #But underlying this comic is a small meta comment of 'ah man I have too many comics of JC just wailing sadly' #My goal is to draw 6-8 comics per episode - I sometimes have to truncate and cut good scenes out. #Especially when a large majority is just different flavours of trauma and toxic relationships to your self-worth. #I would also like to make a note here that just because you lose the ability to do something that is very tied to your core identity- #-does not mean your life is over. It will feel like the end of the world. It will send you into a spiral of grief. It will hurt so badly. #Sometimes we do not realize how tied up our identities can be in certain things until we are cut loose. #You don't lose yourself. I promise the pain will fade in time. I promise you will find other things to tether you. I promise you will be ok #Life moves forwards. Time moves forwards. You move forwards. #Ego death just means an opportunity for ego rebirth. You are never committed to being the same person forever. #To wrap this around to JC: Yeah I love the twist with the core transfer but man I would have loved to see JC accept the loss. #Obviously it happens for a reason (story) but I can have my AUs. I can have these 'what-ifs'.

Starting to think many don't really know what a filler episode is if they think all of these are filler. A filler episode isn't just a one-off story, but normally something that just feels like it is utterly forgettable and disposable and mainly there to fill out the schedule because the writers didn't have any better ideas. Episodes like Move Along Home, The Storyteller, Second Sight, The Muse, Let He Who Is Without Sin, Resurrection, Profit and Lace, etc. The type of episodes many will just skip on a rewatch.

#I know what isn't everyone #and there are many who will watch every episode and find something in them they like #but really feels like many now don't quite understand what filler episodes are #or have this romanticised idea of them all being really good and full of great character development #probably is true for some #but a lot are just going through the motions #or feature changes that get reset at the end of the episode

do you like becoming tumblr famous or is it scary

So far, it's pretty good. I get an astonishing number of asks, and I feel bad that I cannot answer or address them all, but other than that, practically everyone has been lovely so far.

I have a bit of an odd relationship with fame. For much of my childhood, I idolised people who were famous, and dreamt of one day being famous, too. As I grew up, I met or interacted with more and more famous people, and later even got to know some very well. When you see it up close, it is often not desirable at all. It is in fact a huge strain on these people. And that's something I think we often forget; these are just people. Just apes wearing silly scraps of fabric and worrying about their families and their health, just like everyone else.

And so, I have no real interest in being famous, tumblr or otherwise. But I do enjoy having a wonderful, large, and continuously growing audience who revel in and enjoy the weird and wonderful creatures that I spend so much of my time thinking about, working on, and pursuing. I hope that it continues to grow! As I say, you have all been really lovely so far, and I could not find a better community on any other platform—of that I am sure! 🐸
