About language brainrot. Imagine writer creator reader who finally learns how to write in Teyvat's weird symbols and they want to publish their book. They decided to do it anonymously to avoid the "aaaaaah our creator wrote the holy scripture" sort of situation. Except it didn't work. The reader's style is too different from the rest of the world, so even if they tried to simulate the flowery speech it wasn't effective.

Another thing. Reader who decided to read some local books to practice their reading. They asked for something simple and similar to their speech. But the only books merely similar to it are 2000 and more years old. It's funny how the older text is the more you can understand it. On this note. If reader write something i feel like it would be hard to understand for Teyvat's people.

Imagine a reader who is autistic or has any other NDs imparing their communication skills. They practically trained themselves to say sertain phrases in sertain situation. But it doesn't work in Teyvat. And everything just stacks at each other. Difference in speech, being a God (so people react weirdly to you), bad communication skills, not understanding nonverbal cues and so on. There's gonna be a lot of misunderstanding. I imagine how followers would walk on the eggshells not to upset and angry their God and reader who does the same not to say something people will get wrong. Again.

Reader who regained all their memories of creating Teyvat, they're super powerful and stuff. But they still struggle with the modern language. Because all the memories are like millions years old.

(Several of which contain the most ancient looking sets of artifacts you've ever seen)

...Finally, u arrive at a long glass case of several clay tablets.

Half of which sound like they're from the 1910s-20s, and the other, even older half, sounding straight out of the 2000s..

in case you're just here for the good stuff, i'll be tagging my personal ramblings as #whmpersonal so you can avoid em BUT this is tangentially related to the game project i'm working on, so stick around i guess? tl;dr: i'll probably make a more coherent post where I ask ppl for help (especially artists). also, i'll be more attentive and answer your asks faster, hopefully. : )

anyway, after a bit of a "review" of my creative process (and i guess my uhh way of living in general?) i've noticed that it's a huge clusterfuck. and that it has been since i was a kid. without some external pressure or an imposed structure (like deadlines, parents or strongly worded emails) i just sort of relied on random surges of productivity to carry me through life. on one hand, it's kinda fun: most of the time i'm not doing anything valuable and then all of a sudden i condense weeks worth of work into several sleepless days during which i feel like An Immortal Unstoppable God. lighting bolts shoot from my fingertips, my eyes glow in the dark, and my caffeine-to-blood volume ratio is hovering around 1.

unfortunately, it's not really sustainable. the "not doing anything valuable" stage that takes up most of my time is not me just chilling. it's me freaking the fuck out about not doing anything despite wanting to and finding myself just. not able to. not to mention that some things just need minor, but constant maintenance - at best i'd just forget about them and face the consequences later on. at worst i'd be acutely aware of them while procrastinating, clueless as to what's wrong with me.

couple that with a couple other unhealthy habits, a microscopic attention span and wow, i fit like all the criteria for adhd. i gotta admit i was super sceptical at first when doing any research, since, well. how the fuck am i even supposed to gain any unbiased insight into this. anyway, i spent a stupid amount of money on an official diagnosis (seriously why is this not covered by insurance gsygx), it took a million meetings and tests and i get a piece of paper that says i have add and deserve some medication.

this has also made me realize that i'm spread out super thin when it comes to projects. i love every single one of them, but im going to have to be a bit more realistic in terms of what can remain in "when it's done" limbo and what needs a bit of a push. the whump game is unique in that it's not just me who wants this to eventually get released. so! what this means is that it needs a proper, project structure. not a .txt on my desktop where i keep a backlog of missing features. but must important of all, it needs ~*people*~. this is the first time i took a step back and estimated how much time everything would take me and yeahhhh i was being very optimistic when i said "playable build in 2023" lol. i've been hesitant to ask for help bc 1. i'm stubborn : ) 2. im bad at coordinating stuff 3. i can't pay ppl - like seriously, there is one person making a model for me (if you're reading this sorry i didn't ask if you want a tag but this is just a personal post where i keep yapping) and it's looking so clean and professional,,, you gotta sell this as an asset.

HOWEVER im getting past the mentality of "i gotta do as much as i can by myself". and also taking meds so that im able to focus on tasks (both gamedev-related and others) and actually pay attention to what im doing. which is great news for development! and answering asks! ill be making a dev post where i tag all the ppl and will also ask for help.

i love sitting on the floor and spreading out all my tools around me. i love having a reference photo and taking little creative liberties here and there bc i usually have a hard time liking what i've made if it is fully from my imagination. i always have music playing.

Ok, headcanon time

Monty is a pretty prideful and strong person but when he's upset I would usually think he would be very aggressive until Freddy and Bonnie step in and he just goes s o f t. This gator will and tell you how he feels and let's it all out to the people who really understand him. I would see him acting the same towards Roxy since they are very close but Freddy usually finds him first.

Was hoping to have more done today, creativity wise, but jfc it's been a hard weekend :'(

#the worst is.... well lol..#it's the 1 yr anniversary of when i met and started the thread w my rp partner that i love SO MUCH #is the heartache galtean au i sometimes come in here and feel some type of way about.... that made me cRY AS I WAS WRITING A POST--#i sketched a basic little outline the other day for surprise gift art but..... haven't been able to sit down to it once this horrible day #and they live across the sea from me so the anniversary has already passed then by and they're in bed RIP #didn't even talk to em today!!! y'all know i love love loved my old one @/darlingspidey which i still use as a sideblog on another whole separate blog that i'm on when things get hectic here... but i soon realised i was turning multi-fandom in feb and i had this url miraculously saved from before and went 👀 yanno what. and... yeah. my url that i've kept for the longest + it'll probably stay that way now (hopefully) <333

one which is q. dbjzbd off topic but i used to have the ... weirdest queue names and had “queue're so golden” or smth that i copied from seeing it somewhere thinking that it was how it was done, then realised it's a lyric from one of harry styles' songs 💀 didn't expect it like, i don't listen to him at all nor am i fan of his.

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

5 days before we went in lockdown, i was still part of a toxic fandom and instead, already had a tsh sideblog (@tsh-darling 😌) to get away from it all in the meantime. it was my first tom mutual who supported me when i suggested it. not a mistake at all; i love her still even though we're both busy rn 💕 and you lot. i thought that i would never get my 100 followers back lmao

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

it always goes back to pete. but tom hardy........ tom hardy, oh my goodness.

the new spidey suit is so so so fucking fit.

YOOOOO!!!!! I've finally come up with a question that doesn't make me feel like a complete idiot for asking it!!! I've always wondered what specifically f!Berkut said to au!Berkut but that thought process just lead to other things. When f!Berkut uses his special Rinea shows up for a moment. I have to ask did your au!Berkut see that Rinea? Does au!Berkut feel guilt whenever he looks at Rinea even though he didn't actually sacrifice her to Duma? That's all thank you for your time! ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

ok so first off i just wanna say, sorry for taking a few days to get to this but i wanted to give myself time to let the ideas simmer and uh... do research-

SO! to make this easier to read imma answer each question individually, one at a time

and uhh hopefully this isn’t unnecessarily long lmao-

1. What specifically did F!Berkut say to AU!Berkut?

ok so first off, and this will apply for like everything in this post, as this au is connected to FEH, all the voicelines/forging bonds convos/etc. will be treated as canon. with that said, in the c conversation for the forging bonds f!berkut was in, he pretty much refers to normal berkut as ignorant and weak. but, knowing berkut he would probably be disgusted with f!berkut, and confront him with something like “i’ll never stoop to your level of needing to rely on someone else’s power >:[” and then f!berkut just replies with something very taunting and mildly ominous (tbh the first panel of this dumb comic i made kinda demonstrates what i mean rlly well, which is ironic bc this comic is lowkey one of the reasons i made this a whoops) and then berkut is just like “wh- what are you talking about” and f! berkut just dips and/or gets told off by the summoner, but berkut is already shook at this point-

so yeah i hope that made sense-

2. Did AU!Berkut see Witch!Rinea?

short answer is probably not. long answer is though she does show up in f!berkut’s special art, she doesn’t show up with his map sprite (though how sick would it be if she did, like how b!micaiah has yune with her) and, going back to forging bonds as well as several other various f! berkut lines, f!berkut is actively looking for rinea (or more specifically, his rinea), and since in sov he recognizes witch!rinea as rinea in the cutscene before the f!berkut fight, i think it’s fair to say she isn’t there. however, he does atleast find out about her when he makes b!/l!/v!alm (any of em work bc all are post-sov events (to my knowledge)) tell him what the fuck happened.

3.Does AU!Berkut feel guilty, despite not sacrificing rinea?

ok so, he definetly does, but it’s a bit complicated. rather than the guilt decreasing with time, it actually increases with time during the actual events of sov (like acts 3-5) because despite his best efforts, berkut is really having a hard time changing things, and the impending sense of doom and dread (tm) just keeps getting worse. as far as post events of sov goes, initially he’s just like “oh god it’s over” and starts to finally let go of the guilt, but then uh oh shit’s getting not good (see: this post if you haven’t read it already-) and here comes the exestentail dread again, and moreso than guilt fear. just pure fear that he’s going to lose control and hurt rinea, which is obviously the last thing he wants. but yknow the guilt also comes back, but in a moreso “oh god did i fail to fix things” kinda way.

so yeah! that’s basically it! and like,,,, thank u so much for the questions and being interested in my au it means so much to me ;v;

Not tryna be dramatic but I never thought mofy would make such huge impact in my life. While watching the show, every now and then I'd catch myself laughing my ass off, and I missed that so much, and mofy brought it back outta me. I never thought I'd cry that hard over a tv show ending since The Big Bang Theory. So far, for me, it has best season finale and altho it was cut short, it didn't felt rushed you know. Everything just felt right. AAAAAA I can't wait to binge all of 11 seasons again!!! 💗
