Imagine YJ pisses off a telepath with a stupid costume so the villain with a habit of telepathically tormenting mfs starts targeting yj by making them hear things they’re afraid of and everyone else’s is like regular run of the mill shit like their family/friends dying or telling them they hate them, sometimes they hear them listing every bad quality they have and every mistake they’ve ever made, they know it’s not still happening but they’ll hear a loved one or a civilian they couldn’t save using their last breath to blame them for their deaths in the middle of the night which is usually followed by the voice that reminds them that ‘they just don’t quite measure up to their peers or predecessors so really, wouldn’t it be for the best if they just disappeared? No one would even notice and if they did, how likely is it that they’d care? What could they possibly be contributing to the world that can’t be done better by someone else?’ And that’s normal for yj but what causes them to lose it is when they start to hear the sound of someone clicking their tongue and humming in disapproval whenever they’re doing something ill advised but they only figure out who fears that sound when Anita loses her shit so they find her and they’re like wtf?? you live like this?? but she’s fucking petrified and muttering to herself

Like the other psa post we made about not wanting anymore of people to ask us how we're doing / how our day is since we're technically never going to be truly okay unless my abusive mother is out of my life, I don't know if this is a permanent thing to add onto the guideline or not as well, I think I will say this anyway that for the time being, if people can be sure to trigger tag or place a warning of " child distress " where out of any context in illustration, audio, or writing a child ( either as a muse themself or muse's childhood self ) is in physical or mental distressful position / state, especially if they're described as crying; that would be extremely much appreciated.

On an additional note, because we do explore and interact with Micah's childhood self and their child alter, Mimi, quite often and they had experienced various forms of distress across their life and in childhood, we will use this specific tag, #child distress cw. As most people know, Micah is often in a distressful position / state across the series ( prominent example was across July - August after the massacre event, Micah was at their most vulnerable state ). We will be using #distress cw if anyone needs it at all or at times if they are not at a certain mental / emotional state to read / see an intense piece involving Micah or other Starwakers.

Lastly, the Starwake System is an intense system of individuals who have their extreme experiences at time, even for a quick moment. We will never reduce or remove the intensity that any Starwakers would think and feel and behave for anyone because we wouldn't do their characters justice by not following any aspects of them ( personality, mental health, etcetera ); it would be wrong to water down parts of their identities, so this is a gentle reminder that as that is the case, we can and will at least provide warnings of distress and any other applicable sensitive contents when necessary.

funniest part about watching the shitty netflix adaptation of mob psycho w the server was that we had predicted the big plot twist of the show within three episodes, but we just had the person wrong. like we were one step off from getting it in one go and it was HILARIOUS

Rebel Moon on Netflix is sooooooo soso bad guys 😂 like at least there’s space Charlie Hunnam with a Scottish accent and sometimes the main character has a flashback where she has a better haircut AND there’s a sibling duo who have the best costumes in the movie but the story? The script? The movie structure? Cohesiveness? Absolutely terrible. And there’s still 45 minutes left

#and it’s only part ONE #and it’s not interesting enough to compel me to watch a whole second movie of this #there’s a billion things going on but none of it fits together and they’re all just mostly disconnected events or ideas or just STUFF #and none of it is the basic things we need like. character connections and relationships.#it’s ALL flashbacks and EXPOSITION and world building #those things should be there when necessary. give us the minimum we need to know and move ON.#if there’s so much backstory that needs expositioning you should have made that movie instead of it was relevant buildup to THIS story #worldbuilding should be there for flavor - boundaries - and establishing the rules for how the story happens within its structure #this universe just. doesn’t seem like there are any limits. so there’s no tension or cohesive feeling to it. so I just end up not caring lo #at least Jupiter Ascending was CAMPY bad #Rebel Moon is just BEGGING for you to take it seriously and BEGGING for you to make it the next big sci-fi cornerstone in culture #but I swear it is just. so bad.#I don’t even know where to start with it 😂#there’s also like. some things they don’t warn for that they defo should have included in the rest? idk maybe that’s just me but #if you warn about attempted assault against a woman you should also do it for one of the men later #also I said ‘main character’ in the post but it really seems like they’re trying to make EVERY character the main character.#they’re too individual to come together. it’s just random ingredients not one dish.#it’s not structured the way an ensemble movie is supposed to be so it just doesn’t work 🤷‍♂️

the live action drama is called The Untamed, and you can find it on Netflix but also free on YouTube! I'm sure there are other places to watch it, but those are the two that were easiest for me to access

fair warning: the first two episodes are. rather confusing. they kinda just throw you in the deep end. however, if your experience is anything like mine, it really picks up by episode three, which is the point at which this show gripped me by the brain stem and then didn't let go. if you need any help understanding the first couple episodes/the timeline/all the names of the characters, do not hesitate to hit me up!

played the fangame danganronpa another with a friend and i didn't really like the ending but i very much enjoyed mekaru bc she's just woman byakuya togami. i'm going to talk a lot in the tags now

#the translation was kinda weird and bad but you get used to it after a while #i do plan on playing the sequel just cause me and my friends enjoy playing murder mysteries #oh uh spoilers beyond this point i'm gonna give some hot takes for. the 3 followers that care about dangit grandpa #anyway uh. ending. yeah i'm definitely biased bc i don't really like sad endings for the most part #but i didn't really. like it.#i'm not really opposed to the idea necessarily of the protagonist NOT being a survivor it's definitely interesting #but given that this game's take on hope vs despair is that 'hope is created not found'#i thought it kinda sucked that they just left maeda/utsuro to die despite obviously being the one suffering the most #also i didnt. like. kisaragi much. him/his alter ego being the epic savior in the end sucked bad not gonna lie #i thought he was really interesting in his initial appearance bc he was someone who Knew what was happening #but was rendered unable to communicate any of it bc of his brain damage #but then he dies (which was expected wasn't really upset about it) and from there you only have flashbacks to go off of #and then he's just kinda boring #it'd be one thing if he was a heroic reliable person we knew from the start but he's just this. guy that shows up in chapter 5 #and we get told he's like the best we should trust him and believe in him but. like. idk this guy! it didn't feel earned #anyway kinjou was. a character. for sure.#i liked his arc and all but when they revealed in the ending that Oh actually his beliefs on crime haven't changed at all lol<3 #he still only thinks in extremes even after all that mess about recognizing the murders were done in gray area circumstances #so like what was that all FOR #also. like. my fic idea is finally working!! i have my opener. my tav no longer annoys me as a perspective character (gave him just enough insight to let the reader know what is really happening between him and astarion, while still having him catastrophically fail to understand how traumatized the both of them are). the opening scene's first draft is embarassingly rough and i love it, it was fun to finally get it all down!! i will edit later i am in the plotting zone.

by the way. while i know this is subjective and your experience may Not match mine, for me the chemistry in Justice in the Dark is quite there and working very well. if you were concerned there wouldn’t be chemistry between the two main leads, i think by episode 3 the show figures out where it’s going and what it aims to do (as do the actors) and that’s when you can get a feel for if the chemistry is working for you

#justice in the dark #lb #in retrospect though the chemistry works from ep 1. at least as far as matching book energy #i almost feel like its fei du and luos povs opening up visually and by the TIME we get the fei du childhood flashback?#suddenly they both become very vulnerable and open to the audience. whereas before they were BOTH snippy and closed off to each other and #audience as well (giving an initial impression of fei du as cold and emotionless and unpredictable much like the opening of Flower of Evil #in fact the WHOLE opening is like Flower of Evil where you dont know if the leads actually love each other or the fei du type is plotting #then like Flower of Evil it unfolds and becomes obvious how deeply the 2 leads love and care for each other #in every single fucking action they take and HAVE taken since the show started
