He was used to these kind of jabs. They still sucked. Even if he knew better than to let them get under his skin. 

“Yeah whatever. We’re always gonna be weaker than Law. It’s frustrating but ya know what? Means he gives a shit about us.” It might not be shown directly but Shachi knew Law cared for them. He wouldn’t want them dragged into anything that would have them possibly killed. 

There was also the fact Law wouldn’t want them trying to stop him. He knew they worried for his safety. But that wouldn’t stop them from getting revenge if anything ever did take Law down. But, as shitty as it was, they had to do their best to trust in him. Hopefully he would fight to get back to them, and not leave them on their own. Shachi doesn’t know what he’d do without Law. He would do his damndest to take care of the others and keep them safe, but there was only so much he could do....he wasn’t Law. He wasn’t strong....as was being pointed out to him now. What if he couldn’t.....he’d be letting Law down in the end. 

Yeah he wasn’t strong. He’s seen the monsters Law has fought. No way would he be able to fight that. Not without getting himself injured or killed. And there was no way in hell he could keep Law safe either. 

He idly fingered the weaponized bracelet around his wrist, feeling the conflicting emotions bubble up. Dammit. 

“Law’s gonna do what he needs to do. I was always here to follow him and do what he needed and that’s not gonna change. Even if I can’t get stronger. so how about you fuck off before you get a few new breathing holes.”  Lip curled upwards to showcase pointed teeth.

i spent my entire teenaged years fighting for my life. i crawled through the deepest pits of my depression to cling to the promise of a life beyond that pain. i was so convinced that i was going to die young, that i would never see the grace of my age starting with a 2, let alone 3.
