#that yoyo scene killed me

Neo Edo, Ki-Stone and Kaikishi connections

another little wayward thought i've kept pushing back in my head to post about it another time: the way the connection between both our younger Usagi and the Ki-stone is pictured and then the original, older Usagi, how these things connect in the story and wordl. (Fanramble)

when Usagi first touches the Ki-Stone, he describes it as "like if you had a friend, who was lighting " and seems to be visibly fine after the Ki-stone pushes him away from the connection (or it seems more like; he's so taken aback to see Miyamoto Usagi in the same space as him, he just "wakes himself up from it" but doesn't look worser than usual).

But you'll notice that 1) his pursuers (newfound friends) + Spot are all ALSO lying on the ground, smoking from being zapped by the Ki-stone, and 2) Tetsujin who was touching Usagi on his shoulder to stop him is "not a ghost" - "transmuted into another plane of existence" - so basically we can say that as a kindness, the Ki-stone "transmuted" him instead of just killing him. So we can assume that usually touching the Ki-stone either kills or zaps the person.

But Usagi is basically fine, save for maybe feeling a bit hurt by the push-back onto the temple floor. Most of the next times he connects to the Ki-Stone again, it's by his yo-yo. Did the Ki-Stone, recognizing Usagi as a familiar rabbit, or even recognizing him as Miyamoto Usagi's descendany, know he would need this yoyo? Did she know Usagi could solve the 1000-year old problem delayed by Usagi's ancestor by killing the shogun and trapping all spirit-farers?

We also see in ep 6 "Nobody likes A Ninja", the ninja trying to list the Ki-Stone get zapped back as well. Side-note: we don't know if they just get a bit "burnt" like the main cast in ep 1, or if they're actually dead here after.

Whatever the case, the Ki-stone can't be touched directly without harm to the physical person. The way the fake scroll bait is used by the Neko Ninja also makes me think that Tetsujin, knowing that Fuwa would want to steal it, also made the scroll in a way he could punish the Neko Ninja a little, but without killing them (i know it's maybe not that important since they're technically enemies, but Tetsujin's whole outfit makes me thing that he'd approach it peacefull, or more with mischief that lethal harm in mind.)

In the same ep, Tetsujin also repeats the "Do not Touch the Ki-Stone" rule, also explaining why (magnetic pull of the earth - sidenote: that's why u can also see this magnets idea in how people in Neo Edo carry their weapons - magnets are everywhere in Neo Edo and that's how the cars and some of the appliances work for example)

As the series goes on, we see Usagi get gradually worser reactions after each time he has touched the Ki-stone. In ep 5, trapping Hakai, we see him step back and yell in pain, holding his eyes closed and covering them, staged in a way that makes it seem both the info and physical experience were tougher to experience. Trapping Sakuran in ep 6, he stands in shock and simply rolls down from not being able to stand on his own anymiore, lying down for a while when Tetsujin and Spot approach him. He says "That hurts a little more every time." At the end of the season, once he's seen the final scene with his ancestor, he holds his head again, but in slightly less pain. This could be explained how the whole city saw the scene and is "sharing the brainload", as we see everyone from Gen to the city police rubbing their heads in shock. Ironically, the only person to recover quickly from this is Lord Kogane (for humor, but this scene was genuinely funny with how it's a comment about history changing in a 1000 years)..

Anyway, this all to say that it's an interesting internal consistency within the show world x3 Usagi is the only one who survives touching the Ki-Stone, presumably bc of his connection to Miyamoto Usagi, who was able to also survive connecting to the stone and even cut it thanks to Willow Branch, his own personal weapon. I had a theory going in my head a while back that perhaps, despite him not having a legacy left after the murder of the fake shogun, what if the Ki-Stone decided to "save" Miyamoto Usagi somewhere? I probably forgot to post on it, but that first scene with Usagi and Usagi together in the white space of the Ki-Stone made me think. the older Usagi "wakes up" in a similar way, as if his spirit has been asleep for a 1000 years. We know he wasn't in the Ki-Stone like the Yokai, bc we see at the end of s1 that he survived that interaction + in s2 that he sent his sword away,.. but what if he had to send it for safe-keeping with his family not just because he was sure he would die and be captured, because he knew the sword would be needed later? "Willow Branch is a special sword" as he puts it in the ep 10 flashback. (and more abt this theory another time then)

At the end of the episode, we see that Yuichi connects to the Ki-Stone again, but this time, not to remember and not with his yoyo but to return Omurasaki to the Ki-Stone as it was the piece that his ancestor cut, was passed down instead of a sword, and now sit's on his auntie's Edgewing, at the pommel.

Maybe it was this connection to the Ki-Stone that also saved Usagi the first time? Whether it was the connection itself (having the sword with him, with the stone still spiritual/magical) or the Ki-Stone knowing that the piece was back in the city, and thus choosing Usagi based on it in the first ep. But the stone saw that he needed his own spirit weapong, and so it opened up the vault for Usagi to pick the most suited weapon for him. Again, I wonder how much the Ki-Stone in it's magic/spirit sentience actually foresaw or predicted some of this?

(I also find it interesting that the piece of Ki-Stone attached to Edgewing is named after the national butterfly of Japan, the Sasakia Charonda, or, ō-murasaki " (オオムラサキ - "great purple") - but all that for another time)

Giving the piece back the Ki-Stone throws Usagi back so far that he's actually left unconscious for a longer time, enough for the Ki-Stone to pulse with some sort of energy to close the big energy portal in the sky, go wireless and for his friends to basically finish fighting the rest of the warbotto.

Side-note: Like. he actually looked kinda dead in this scene and while being a longtime cartoon fan I knew it probably wouldn't last long, I was kinda convinced enough just to be like "no way. they're not gonna kill off a main character!" at it haha x3

Now, for the other times that Usagi touches it, he uses the yoyo, which basically seems to act as a conduit between his spirit and the Ki-Stone (which is basically a spirit-energy stone, going by the name), even tho he feels worse each time, he can still endure the memories and connection without bigger harm. Does this mean the other's in his orphan crew also get this ability with their Kaikishi weapons in s2? or is it special to just Usagi's yo-yo? It's also intersting that while both the Ki-Stone and the entire city feature magnet-related features as does the yo-yo (being able to connect to metal, but also spirits), it seems the other weapons do not have this ability. Except maybe Chizu's arrows, which she can change at will. Kitsune's new batlle fans can also disappear at will, matching her personality and skills, but the disappearing "woosh" energy also resembles the Ki-Stone itself, being purple. Gen's new war clubs can change size, but also connect into one big version which he is able to lift with ease, so that could also be a connection to the magnetic theme related to the Ki-Stone. Kinda wish we'd gotten more of the others or to see more of these weapons secondary skills, but alas, 10 eps is what we got.

But would this ability to connect to the Ki-Stone via weapons, mean that the others would also have more backstory and lore to explore if the show went on longer or even just for another season? More of those 2D cutscenes where characters remember or imagine something? What kind of story ideas did the writers and crew have simmering underneath all the stories they had to cut for time?

Also of note: While the rest seem to have standard features + super-natural ones which reflect their users + some hidden ability we don't know about, it might be that the yoyo also has one more secret ability?

Usagi's yoyo can act as a normal yoyo. When lit/glowing, it acts as a magnet and Yuichi can use it creatively in a lot of ways. It's nigh-indestructible, which seems like a feature that would be common to all Kaikishi weapons. It can capture anything magnetic and in episode 3, Possessions, we see it can also capture a yokai in place. Dare Mo, the yokai who takes auntie's appearance to fight Usagi, is surprised to see him sporting a Kaikishi weapon and begs him not to "use [his] weapon's power!"

So that has always made me wonder if there's more to it than what we see later? Because we see with ep 5, capturing Hakai, that if Usagi asks respectfully, the yoyo will "calm" the yokai into not struggling or resisting. It's about Usagi learning to respect and trust his weapon and learn to not jump into a fight all sword-crazy. But also, if it's part of it's spirit we could poetically state that it's about Usagi learning to trust and listen to his own soul as well.

In any case, this "calming" effect of the yoyo seems the most obvious third extra power, but I get the feel like there might more. (again, sorta wish we'd gotten to see more of the rest of the Kaikishi weapon's special powers x3) And then, if the other spirit weapons are not there for capturing yokai + we've already seen their secondary powers, what else could be there?

What's subtly interesting about Usagi's choice in the yo-yo, is that the Ki-Stone seems to have wanted to pick Chizu at first (she's the temple student and in reality an experienced fighter, but also, not being picked is a visual gag here), but then comically turns to Usagi, giving him the spotlight... but also making him react in a way that to me at least speaks that "that stone took his spirit-orb and sent it to the weapon door". We see him pick the yo-yo impulsively, but we also see. So it makes it feel like the Ki-Stone picked him deliberately, as if knowing he'd pick the yo-yo, instead of something sharp that could cut her, since we know that a sword is usually a samurai's spirit (and probably why in this show, Willow Branch was able to cut it at all).

In s2, after saving the city from the Makkine attack with his spirit-samurai form, granted to him by meditating while connected to the Ki-Stone by his yo-yo again, Usagi says that it's probably something he won't be doing again. It almost seems as if this drained all of Usagi's own spirit energy, and then some. The Ki-Stone gave him a boost upwards and he got some heavenly spirit-power to transform into a spirit-suit basically - with Usagi himself in the "heart" of the mech.

Interesting design. (I've made notes about this before). It's really cool! Also cool that it mirrors the end of UY: Senso in this way too. The show's showrunners and other creative staff were such big fans, they put something like this into the story, but it still makes sense internally.

Meeting Marillion

“No!” The girl announced, as Ladybird stopped. If this wasn’t Hawkmoth, then who were they and why did they make another villain?

“I’m Marillion, the new butterfly! And there isn’t any need for us to fight!” She declared which confused her. She made a villain that almost killed people and caused untold amounts of destruction, of course there was a need to fight! She then watched stunned as Stoneheart was about to continue climbing, only for Marillion to hit his head with her cane, as he suddenly put up an apologetic smile.

“Ugh, fine. She's right. This is all a misunderstanding because she had to detransform and didn’t tell me what to do.” He said with a whine, causing her to hit him on the head again, which shocked everyone. It would have been hilarious if not for the fact that it was from a villain. Thankfully, Chat seemed to be stunned out of his silence first.

“Well that misunderstanding almost got an innocent girl killed!” Chat yelled at her, as Ladybird nodded her agreement, trying to get over the slapstick scene she just watched. She saw as the villainess rolled her eyes before responding.

“He misunderstood me and he's sorry! Also, this is my first time using my powers, and we all know what happened the first time you used your powers!” Marillion screamed back. That was it for Ladybird, as she pushed Chat Noir out of the way and responded back in this crazy screaming match.

“Oh don’t give us that misunderstanding talk, it's clear to everyone that you’re the real threat!” She responded, as Chat Noir got back up and stood behind her.

“I’m The Threat?” She responded, as her expression shifted to anger. Marillion then jumped up to the top of the Eiffel Tower before she flipped her cane. From it, came a swarm of lilac butterflies that swarmed around her before shaping into two arrows pointing to her. Ladybird probably assumed that this was to get attention as Marillion began speaking.

“People of Paris! The incompetence of these heroes has caused you all to suffer! But no more! I promise to all of you that I do not mean any harm anyone! I just wish to help everyone be able to work through your emotions! I won’t let these two harm the people they say that they care for!

Marillion turned to glare at Chat as she continued her speech. “Did you think I would forget how you tried to cataclysm Ivan yesterday? Paris needs a hero that would focus on helping other people at the expense of themselves! And I, Marillion, will be that hero!”

Marillion finally lowered her gaze onto Ladybird as she finished her speech. “And I will take your miraculous! I will not let you incompetent heroes harm the people any more!” Marillion said as she swung her cane and the butterflies flew back into it. 

Marillion loooked upon them with a protective fury that stole her breath away. She looked beautiful as she stood on the tower. Ladybirds chest was beating, and she thought that the only person who was more beautiful than Marillion at that moment was Marine-.

Ladybird decided to end those thoughts before they could continue building up. She did not have a crush on the villainess, absolutely not. Resolute, she swung her yoyo up to meet Marillion head on.

Agents of SHIELD Rewatch Season 4A (ep. 1-8)

Here's my commentary on my rewatch of Agents of SHIELD Season 4 Episodes 1-8. This may not be the best commentary since these are just the thoughts and opinions that come to my mind as I watch the episodes rather than a full-blown analysis, but I'm just having fun with it!

Oh boy, do I have OPINIONS about these first few episodes…

4x01 The Ghost

And here’s where the show took advantage of the 10pm time slot: we get a scene of Daisy getting dressed.

Also the score for the Ghost Rider pod is badass and also the same score Daisy was listening to when she was in quarantine after getting her powers in s2.

This season also gave me a new appreciation for the title card.

The Mack and Coulson dynamic is pretty cool this season.

Especially after how they were kind of butting heads in season 2.

Also, because of the Accords, literally every move Elena makes is tracked. EVERY powered and enhanced individual that is under the Accords is being tracked. Literally taking away innocent citizens’ civil liberties. This is why being Team Cap is the right answer. The government is taking advantage of their power and using it to track and later kill individuals like inhumans who have done nothing wrong but are being targeted.

Radcliffe just has Aida naked all the time???

I can’t watch Daisy getting on the bus seriously anymore knowing that the crew decided to troll Chloe and have it drive away😂

Daisy and Yo-Yo friendship🥹 screw you season 5.

“Take care of yourself” All Daisy wants for the team is for them to be safe.

Also how can anyone blame Daisy for leaving. She’s loss so much and has felt the guilt for all of it. Not to mention how NO ONE except Mack decided to go down and see her and comfort her after Hive. Daisy left because she didn’t want to feel like a burden, which if i’m being honest, the team kinda treated her like so after Hive and talking to her only for information. Daisy left because she cared about her team. She didn’t want to be the reason she brought them pain. However, I have a feeling that them not talking to her is what also pushed her away, thinking that they didn’t want her around anymore.

Elizabeth and Ming are essentially the same height, so they couldn’t have May in heels and put Jemma in shoes that have a lift in them so that she seems intimidating towards May.

“Should’ve cut off your own hand”

I love Robbie Reyes. Just thought you all should know.

I appreciate that Jemma has gained the confidence to where she can handle positions of authority, but knowing what I know happens later makes it really hard to be proud of her for it. The fandom respects Jemma’s authority, but when Daisy is in authority, she’s disrespected? How come Daisy’s authority isn’t respected later?? Jemma was quick to defy Daisy in season 5.

And Jemma has the nerve to assume May is jealous of her status? May makes it clear that even she’s surprised what the position has done to Jemma.

I do understand Jemma wanting the power to keep the team together in some capacity, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of your friends’ respect.

“After all we’ve been through” yet you, Jemma, insinuating May being jealous of you. You’re the one who has thrown away the respect they deserve just as much.

Daisy does her research. But I liked to believe she knew Robbie’s car’s model because Coulson and Mack are such a car guys that they probably shared some car facts with her.

“These guys might kill someone else besides themselves” “YEAH US”

4x02 Meet the New Boss

The team always saw the common room of the Playground as home🥺 now that it’s redecorated, it’s doesn’t have that homey feeling.

Daisy with the tea mug and acting all smug is giving me life.

I feel like a lot of people dislike Mace, which is understandable given what we got of him at first, but later, you can actually see how he’s a good person.

Robbing banks and returning money to their rightful owners. How come they only look at the bad?

“Maybe she’s just a ghost”

Again, Daisy is literally suicidal. Why is barely anyone talking about it?

“Who wants to step aside a real life quinjet” ME🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ Aren’t they supposed to have a quinjet ride coming to Avengers Campus at Disnleyland or is that just something I dreamt/made up?

It definitely was cool during my first watch finding out that Mace was “inhuman”

The way Mack carefully cares for Daisy’s arm😭😭

“She’s turned her back” She most certainly HAS NOT! WTF!! Has she done anything terrible to you, Fitz? I don’t think so. And don’t say choking you out during Hive cause that was not of her will.

“Something terrible happened, and she didn’t want our help getting through it” WHEN DID YOU GUYS HELP HER??? YOU GUYS HAD HER LOCKED IN A CELL. YOU TREATED HER LIKE SHIT AND ONLY SPOKE TO HER TO GET INFORMATION OUT OF HER, MAKING HER RELIVE EVENTS THAT SHE MOST DEFINITELY SHOILD HAVE PTSD FROM! THE ONLY PERSON WHO SPOKE TO HER WITH SYMPATHY AND COMPASSION WAS MACK!! Oh my god just get Fitz off my screen already.

“We’ve all been through terrible things” That is something you NEVER EVER want to tell a person who is depressed, suicidal, and grieving after a very traumatic experience. Also, you didn’t have that attitude when other people went through terrible things. How come every single person in this show are allowed to step away from the agency for their own good (Jemma in s2, May in s3, Fitz himself in s3), but Daisy isn’t allowed??? And when they all went through those things, they had people supporting them, while Daisy was basically left to fend for herself in confinement. How come she’s told “well too bad. bad things happen to all of us so you just have to suck it up” My god, just show some empathy. Daisy does it, basically expected to, but why can’t anybody else?? Then again, we’re talking about Fitz who literally doesn’t have an empathetic bone in his body and only cares if it effects him. So what if YOU were so hurt that SHE left to BETTER HERSELF and MAKE SURE THE POEPLE SHE CARED ABOUT ARE SAFE after no one else would. I hate this. I hate this scene. I hate Fitz.

Glad I can finally say that^

4x03 Uprising

This is surprisingly one of my comfort episodes. I know, weird one to have. Maybe because it has a lot of Elena and I love her.

If people turn on you that quickly in a situation where you are the victim, they were never your friends in the first place.

Also, the actor who plays Gabe (Lorenzo James Henrie) is the younger brother of the actor who played Justin (David Henrie) in Wizards of Waverly Place. One of my favorite fun facts cause that was my favorite childhood show. He’s also only like a year younger than Chloe.

So SHIELD just has drugs that instantly kill people on hand?

And here’s Melinda May death number 1 of 2.

FINALLY we have a location of the Playground. Washington D.C.

This episode should have been a good form of proof that Mace isn’t a terrible person. He knew better than to believe it was the inhumans and he trusted Coulson.

Only Melinda May can wake up from being dead and just immediately demand to be released from stuff holding her down.

I LOVE the slow mo Yo-Yo shots. Especially cause she looks like she’s having so much fun.

People will hate Daisy for holding a gun to Jemma. You guys actually think Daisy would have pulled the trigger on Jemma??? Heck I don’t think Jemma even believed Daisy would pull the trigger.

ALSO!! The gun Jemma brought that Daisy held to her… WAS AN ICER. So Daisy wasn’t going to kill her even if she did pull the trigger, which she certainly was not going to.

4x05 Lockup

It’s definitely interesting watching this season after WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness. But I will always love shield more for how they handled the Darkhold.

Submitted prompt: In which Marinette's Miraculous-Tracking Yoyo could have saved the day.

A series of plots made thanks for a scene in the earlier episodes of the show, where Marinette uses her yoyo to track Adrien's whereabouts when he was Chat Noir in Copycat.

It sure would have come in handy when...

(Warnings for temporary character death: Gabriel and Felix)

1: Not waiting for the Bee-Queen. (Style Queen divergence)

As Marinette felt secure that no one is watching her and was sure her parents won't notice her, she quickly transformed and leapt out of the house, her goal clear:

To get back the Bee miraculous she had ended up losing during the fight with Style Queen.

Opening her yoyo, she activated the tracking function in it, and targeted the Bee miraculous' whereabouts.

This function can't work on Hawkmoth's miraculouses because he might try to track her back, but she felt secure in this attempt.

The map showed her the Bee miraculous' icon, telling her that it had not fallen into the hands of Hawkmoth and his allies, and she moved towards it.

It barely took her a minute to find herself in front of Chloe's home, groaning as she felt the trouble it might come from this, but she still pushed and entered.

She got the miraculous in the end, even if Chloe made a fuss about it.

Too bad Marinette was not in the mood to be patient with her.

Marinette successfully got the miraculous, and if Chloe kept complaining about it for days, well, it was Chloe's problem, not hers.

2: Catching the Traitor.

After Marinette detrasformed and retransformed back, she opened her yoyo, still reeling at the betrayal of who she believed was Adrien.

She felt her heart sink as she couldn't find out any of the miraculouses, as tears started coming from her face.

In desperation, she quickly opened the tracking function of her yoyo, hoping it might not be too late.

That maybe the miraculouses were "technically" still not in the villain's hands.

Multiple icons appeared on her yoyo, as she breathed in sheer relief, and without wasting any more time, rapidly leaped as fast as she could towards the miraculouses, and in less than a minute, she finds herself jumping in the air right above the Agreste mansion.

Too desperate and emotionally hurt, and maybe still affected by the Risk akuma, she didn't think of anything before she slammed into the roof using her body, shattering it and going down...

And finding herself in front of an untransformed Gabriel and Felix who had just now detransformed from the sight of things.

She didn't hesitate, deciding to deal with the consequences later, and attacked.

Her yoyo, sharp and fast, killed Gabriel in a second, along with Felix, their faces showing shock and horror.

Taking a moment to breathe and ignoring the red and the bodies around her, she rapidly took away Gabriel's miraculouses, along with the ones on his desk, and from Felix's body, before casting the Cure.

And when Gabriel and Felix came back, they only could see a furious Ladybug who was glaring at them.

"So, before I deal with you both,"

She spoke with unrestrained rage, clearly barely holding herself.

"Is there any reason for why you thought terrorism was a great idea,"

Gabriel paled.

"and betraying me and the heroes, was a great idea?"

Felix now paled.

As they both looked at the wrathful superhero before them, they know that she was not kidding.

Ah, the tracking function; something that would have helped Marinette quite a few times. But it sure is treated as nonexistent, except that one time Marinette used it to save Adr-

Because it was Adrien who was in trouble back then, that they literally made this function to save him.

while Yugi's... busy, I'll finally dump on this one specific scene and why it's sticks with me so much

the precious item that Yugi relies on for his confidence and the ability to protect his friends is the very item being used to kill him. when he's not strong enough to pull himself up, and his other self can't even help him, his best friend takes every hit the gang throws at him to literally put Yugi on his own shoulder, carries his full weight (granted it's like 95 lbs lol) on his back to save him. it's some really powerful symbolism imo.

and I think that's just a really neat, impactful scene especially to come from a chapter about lol yoyos. but then there are some parallels that come up later that just reallyyyy make this scene stand out even more to me which !!! I'll for sure dump on again when we get to the DDM arc

So I know Annie is your fav character in aot (& as a whole) but what made her ur fav? - She's my favourite character in AOT, and always has been, but not in terms of manga and anime in general.

What do you think about her final conclusion? & her relationship with her dad? - Her conclusion could have been elaborated on more, as should everyone else's. It was all rather rushed.

How do you explain her as a character? - That's kind of a vague question, I'm not really sure what you mean.

Whats ur fav moment of her? - I'm not sure, but one of the first moments which came to my head was her horrified face as Marco screaming at her and begging her to stop while Reiner had him subdued. It really effectively portrayed so much of the internal strife that she and the other Warriors were made to deal with after having developed bonds with their fellow soldiers, and for that horrified expression to come from Annie of all people; someone who we had grown accustomed to being rather stoic and typically unfazed, it made the scene all the more powerful.

Now let me tell you I've seen PLENTY of people saying her relationship with her father was horrible that he was abusive to her & yet still cares & loves him after everything he did to her - Their relationship did indeed start out very unhealthy, but her father obviously came to genuinely care about her as his daughter and backtracked on his earlier sentiments, and Annie saw that, while he was the only father figure she had ever known. Whether or not people think her father was irredeemable, or if they think that people can change and deserve second chances, is up to them.

That annie is a cold blinded killer who enjoyed killing people that she didn't show any remorse when killing like the time when she yoyoed levi squad she looked like she was having a time of her life - Yes I've seen the same stupid "cold blood killer" accusations levied towards many characters...

Despite Annie wanting to abandon the mission and just return home on multiple occasions.

Despite her risking her life to save other people on multiple occasions when she clearly didn't need to.

Despite her expression of absolute horror while being forced to take Marco's gear.

Despite her crying while watching him getting devoured.

Despite her apologising to him when seeing his corpse.

Despite her only killing the Survey Corps members when they went to kill her first.

Despite her crying profusely to Mikasa while declaring that she was tired of killing and didn't want to fight anymore.

Yet these people will claim that she was a cold blooded killer with no remorse who was having the time of her life while killing, just because she swung around a soldier for a bit. People are ridiculous.

Into The Unknown, Part 1

Marinette stared at the pile of bright red, yellow, and green clothes on the ground. It was all she’d done in the five-ish minutes since she’d portaled onto the scene. Just… stared.

It wasn’t like there was much else to do, anyways. Red Robin was currently beating the absolute fuck out of the person that had the audacity to disintegrate his brother right in front of him. It wasn’t like she could even fix it because the witch had been out cold before she had been able to pull Red Robin off to get a hit in so she could use her lucky charm.

So, she stared.

It was weird. She could almost feel a person inside the clothes but… maybe that was the residue or the ashes or whatever gets left behind when you zap a person out of existence? She didn’t really want to check, to be honest. Gross.

Eventually, though, she hesitantly leaned down and brushed her hand over it, trying to find the energy and get rid of it because it was really uncomfortable --.

… oh hell no that pile of clothes did not just fucking giggle at her.

She narrowed her eyes and carefully lifted up the bottom of the shirt, only to yelp and fall back. She scrabbled on the gross Gotham alley ground until her back hit Red Robin’s arm and he was forced to pause or risk hitting a meta (which would not have been good for his health).

“What?” He hissed.

She swallowed thickly. “That’s a child.”

“... what?” Red asked, all the anger bleeding from his tone in his confusion.

“We let Batman’s kid turn into a baby,” she whispered… then, it sunk in more. “We let Batman’s kid turn into a baby.”

He straightened on top of the thing that was really more bloody pulp than person at this point. “What do you mean ‘we let Batman’s kid turn into a baby’?”

But she didn’t really get a chance to answer because the baby chose that exact moment to be sick of being suffocated under all the armor and pushed it off.

Red Robin gulped. Because, yep, that was Robin as a baby. Batman was going to kill them.

Except he wasn’t going to kill them. Because Batman doesn't kill. No, Batman would find something even worse and that would suck.

The baby -- Robin? Should she still call him that mentally? -- giggled at their pain. Like an asshole.

They were so fucked.

He’d let B’s favorite kid get turned into a baby. Was there a way to get unadopted? Because if there was it was totally going to happen. Or maybe his dad would just cut him off because he was 19 now and could just get kicked out.

No. Nope! Not going to happen. No. He could fix this.

“Okay. Okay okay okay. We need a plan,” he heard himself saying.

Ladybug scoffed. “We? I was barely even here, this is on you.”

“Leave me alone to deal with this and I swear to god I will tell B that you did it.”

“Yes way. So, help me think of something.”

The baby giggled and started crawling over and both of them averted their eyes because, unfortunately, the child did not get baby clothes to go with his random transformation. Baby Damian didn't seem to care as he reached them and started climbing on Ladybug since she was closest. At least it wasn’t him. He did not want to see his adoptive brother’s… ew.

Ladybug made a gagging sound and then quickly summoned a lucky charm. She kept her face turned away as much as her neck would physically allow as she fumbled her way through swaddling the child in a polka-dotted blanket.

And then her shoulders slumped a little. “Great. Great. This is… great,” she muttered, picking up the bundle o’ baby.

He let himself look down now that it was safe.

“Alright, we need to go to another dimension where time moves faster,” Ladybug said after a few seconds. “And then we wait for him to age… fifteen-ish years. Best way to not make Batman notice.”

“... what about us? We also age.”

“Huh…? Oh. Right. You’re human.” She pulled off the glasses she was wearing and blinked a few times before handing it over. “Congrats on your upgrade. The tiny horse god is named Kaalki. She likes cake.”

“The tiny --?” He let out the world’s manliest screech as his eyes landed on the floating bug horse hybrid thing holy shit no no no no no the sci fi movies didn’t prepare him for this shit.

Kaalki looked a little offended but then her eyes landed on the baby and she gasped. “Aw, baby humans are always so cute.”

“Great, Kaalki, you take it,” said Ladybug.

Kaalki did try, to her credit. It just so happened that the approximately one-year-old baby was a lot bigger than the… whatever she was. Tim was refusing to believe that this was a god. Too many implications. He already had something to have a breakdown over, he didn’t need another thing right now, thank you very much.

Tim rested his head in his hands but he had more things to worry about than the blood that he was accidentally streaking through his hair.

“Okay. Okay. We can go to another dimension and try and raise him. Maybe we can make it have a ratio of one month here for every year there so any differences could be blamed on that.”

“Ya!” Said baby Damian. He probably didn’t actually know what was going on but he sure seemed excited so that was cool.

Ladybug sighed and nodded. “Great. You get food and money and clothes and I’ll take this lady to the cops… and I guess I’ll watch the kid until you get back because your dad cannot know.”

They shook on it.

This may be the dumbest idea that she’d ever had, and that was saying something. She didn’t know if she could trust Red Robin on this one, they hardly ever worked together. What if he just left her alone with this kid and let her try and figure this out on her own?

No. He wouldn’t do that. He was the last person known to be with Robin. Robin going missing would be bad for him, too. And, besides, she was pretty sure that he was a duty-driven person based on what she’d heard, she just had to hope that he saw this as his duty, too.

She turned the baby in her arms to get more comfortable as she waited for him to (hopefully) come back.

Part of her wanted to try and find someone from this world to reverse this but she didn’t know any outside of her, Adrien, Alix, and (now) Red Robin. Not on a personal level. Not enough that she knew for sure that they wouldn’t blab to Batman about it.

So, no, this is what she was doing.

But she had things to do. So, she pulled out her yoyo-phone-hybrid-thingy and wedged it against her ear.

“Chaton,” she said the moment he picked up. “You’re alone, right?”

“Uh… yeah?”

“Great. I, Ladybug, relinquish the Miracle Box and name Chat Noir the new guardian.”

“WHAT --?!” He didn’t get to finish as a box dropped on his lap and knocked the wind out of him.

“Just for, like, a year and a half. Sorry. Bye!”

“DON’T JUST ‘BYE’ ME WHAT THE --?!”

She hung up and closed the yoyo, hooking it back to her belt and ignoring it when it started buzzing again.

She looked down at Robin, who was squinting up at her. She returned the squint. Why was this baby so quiet? She didn’t get it. Surely, he should have been crying at this point.

“Do you still… remember things?” She asked, hoping against all hope that maybe he had retained his memories at the very least.

Robin smiled at her, but it was the blank-eyed baby smile that meant he wasn’t really understanding her. She bit down a curse.

Great. So, she’d not only gotten a baby but she’d gotten a fucking weird one. Great.

Tim left a note for his family saying that he, Damian, and Ladybug were bored and were going dimension hopping. His family would probably be suspicious but, hey, at least it wouldn’t be his problem for a good fifteen years on his end.

And, yeah, he knew this was probably one of his dumber plans but… it wasn’t the dumbest. And he was always one to commit when it came down to it. One time he had faked being shot and dealt with crutches for an entire year just to convince Vicki Vale that he wasn’t Red Robin. He had no fears that he couldn’t see this through.

Ladybug, though? A total mystery. She did nearly everything on a whim as far as he knew. She hopped from city to city fighting crime for absolutely no reason outside of boredom and made up all of her plans on the fly. No, he was a bit concerned about her ability to keep doing it.

So, he went as quickly as he possibly could. There was no rhyme or reason to what he was grabbing. He was just… putting stuff in there. There was money and three watches to help them move between dimensions, yes, but there was also a fanta orange and a copy of Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy and exactly seven pairs of socks.

… yeah, he had the necessities. Probably.

He nearly got out the door before he realized he was still in his crime-fighting gear and he quickly shucked it all off and tossed it into the tub so the blood wouldn’t track any more than it already had. He did not need to avoid Batman’s wrath only to end up on the receiving end of Alfred’s.

He pulled on the first hoodie and jeans he could grab and looked around to make sure he hadn’t left anything of importance.

Okay. Now he was ready to go.

Marinette was awkwardly bouncing the baby when Red Robin finally showed up.

… not that she would have recognized him if she hadn’t felt Kaalki hovering in his pocket. In her eyes, he was just a random white guy wearing shades in the middle of the night.

She glanced up at him and gave him an awkward smile.

“Ready?”

He smiled back and held out two watches. Neither fit baby Robin so she prepared herself to choke out a literal baby holy fuck what even was her life.

“Which dimension should we go to?”

“Preferably one without miraculi,” Marinette said. “I don’t want to know what happens if there’s two of the same god in a dimension.”

He nodded slowly. “Probably best if Batman doesn’t exist, either, he’d probably notice my existence.”

“... so… no heroes at all?”

“Looks like we’re going cold turkey,” Red Robin said in a tone that was probably supposed to be joking but just came out flat.

She pushed herself to her feet and waited as he scrolled through the millions of dimensions.

Finally, he came upon one and she added the coordinates to her and Robin’s watches.

She readied Robin’s watch against his neck and tried to ignore the kid’s sudden squirminess.

“3… 2… 1…”

They were gone in a whirl of blue light.

The satisfaction when daisy punched yoyo in that scene lmaooo. The team treated daisy like shit in s5 and it still pisses me off

(i criticize but also defend yoyo here so... beware if you're going to read the rest i guess)

ngl I would've preferred that punch to be aimed at Simmons... but there was a bit of satisfaction to it. Though every time I think about their fight I get furious.

1) because of what it means for Daisy.

Like you said, anon, Daisy was put through so much unnecessary crap in season 5 and the majority of the team treated her like shit.

2) because of what it means for Yoyo.

I've said before that I understood her and where she came from during the season, mostly about wanting to do anything to prevent the end of the world. Her working with fitzsimmons made sense since they specifically told her of the location of the gravitonium machine, and she was like "cool! new IMPORTANT mission" (and since this is just after her injury, she most likely wanted to feel useful, and taking apart the machine would've done just that). What I also understand, is Yoyo killing Ruby. Ruby at that moment could've very likely been the destroyer of worlds, and she was out of control. She killed her own boyfriend and she was threatening to kill fitzsimmons and torture them with a smile on her face. Plus, she cut off Yoyo's arms. Something Yoyo had JUST been considered okay from until the new robotic arms failed to work properly with her speed abilities. Add all that together, plus intense physical and emotional pain, and the severity of the chaos in that moment, and yeah, I understand it. Ruby was personally responsible for Yoyo's disability, and her arms being cut off only made the future where Yoyo was enslaved and tortured with DEATH itself for DECADES, all the more real and possible. (plus Ruby wasn't an actual child, she was a 19 year old assassin who was losing control and could snap daisy's neck in that one moment, which she actually tried to do.)

What I DON'T understand, is Yoyo's complete lack of sympathy for Daisy. THAT didn't seem in character for me. At the end of s4, when Mack stayed behind in the framework, Yoyo was angry at Daisy for not getting him out, and they yelled about it, but it quickly became obvious that Yoyo was just hurt and that she didn't blame Daisy at all. In S5b though? She's blaming Daisy for coming back even though Daisy had no choice in it? While simultaneously she said NOTHING about Fitz bringing back the 'destroyer of worlds' powers? REALLY?

Elena "when I use my powers, it should be my choice" Rodriguez (actual quote btw) would have zero sympathy for Daisy, and instead blame her for simply existing for the end of the world, but wouldn't also shift the blame to the guy who actually cut into Daisy to force her 'destructive' powers on her??? And after that team argument, when things calmed down a bit, Yoyo had a conversation with Mack, trying to explain, despite Mack clearly not agreeing with her, she couldn't try to have one with Daisy? And then when the alien invasion happened, triggered by Yoyo's own actions, she blamed Daisy for not being there (keep in mind, Daisy is the leader at that point and literally does not need to inform everyone of everything) despite Daisy having good reasons, and then she stole her bag acting as if she was entitled to look at 'what kept daisy outside' Seriously?

So yeah, when it comes to Yoyo in s5, I'm honestly conflicted, because I DO understand her. So much, but she also does a lot of things that I don't like at all and that are unfair, and while the reason is probably "after the trauma of s5a and her injury, Yoyo wasn't really being herself" and maybe that would've been reason enough, because again, it's understandable, the fact that we got Daisy to step down from being leader, (she decided to do that after a convo with DEKE of all people) and her speech was her apology and her trying to appeal to the team (specifically the ones who hurt her and unfairly judged her all season: yoyo, fitzsimmons) and then we literally get NOTHING from yoyo (or fitzsimmons) as an apology in return or as a "maybe we were at odds, but we're still a team" (something that Daisy actually said-paraphrased- right after her fight with yoyo) is Bullshit. Because once again, Daisy is the only one apologizing and willing to compromise for ONE reason only, and it's to keep the team together, and to mend the fences.

If we'd gotten a conversation with Daisy and Yoyo after? One that had Yoyo apologizing for a lot of the bullshit she did. If we'd gotten a scene where both explained where they were coming from, and we got to see both of them understanding the other?

If we'd gotten Daisy and Yoyo actually interacting a lot in s6? Or simply if there wasn't a one year time skip where daisy and yoyo literally don't see each other, I wouldn't feel this conflicted. But we didn't. It was all done off screen and just barely. (we did get a daisyoyo hug in a s6 flashback and Daisy inviting yoyo to space, so there's that)

Anyway, sorry to ramble anon, it's just, for me, I dislike this fight because honestly, while I'm glad Daisy stood up for herself, I was pissed at the fact the writers wrote Daisy so unsympathetic to Daisy all of s5b, when up until then, she always was. They were literally always working together well, and getting along just fine. I don't like what that fight scene made one of my favourite characters be like. But the same way I disagree with Daisy in the end making the decision to use the serum to save coulson, and i disagree with her almost becoming physical when yoyo grabbed the serum, but love her and understand completely why she made that decision and why she was hurting, with yoyo it's the same. I disagreed with things she did this season (very much) but I still love her and she is one of my favourites because she really did go through hell this season also, and it makes sense for her to not be her usual self and for her to snap. (and from 7x08, we find out Yoyo is guilty over what happened with Ruby, so it's logical to assume she herself isn't supportive of her own actions and regrets them. Her pleading with Coulson and apologizing and praying furiously also makes it clear that she was just hurting.) Just wish we would've gotten an apology from her.

YOU'VE NEVER HEARD THIS BEFORE!!!!

Listen, listen, listen… I know it has been a while, but here I am with so so so many good things to talk about. So many good songs have been bestowed upon us all and here I am to tell you just how I feel about it. Consider this my journal, where nothing I say can be wrong.

You cannot even be mad at me because I am coming to you with great news, for me personally. That is, that I had myself a hot date with none other than the perfect cosmic angel Faye Webster. What a show that woman can put on. Her opener was nothing short of amazing, Kate Bollinger has most definitely gained a fan or two since Monday evening. Faye’s stage presence in very chill, which is expected from her overall look and music genre and sound, but she does make sure that the crowd is having fun. Towards the end of her hour and a half set she not only covered an Animal Crossing song, which happened to inspire her most recent (amazing) album I Know I’m Funny, haha, but also brought up a very skilled yoyo-er (if that is how you say it), to do some crazy tricks while she stood off to the side dancing and laughing. I say this for just about everyone I see live, but her voice and stage presence make her sound ten times better. If you had the chance to go to the show, I hope you had as good a time as I did, especially if you got into the bar. If you have not heard of Faye Webster, I am here to guide you to her, this is my job. Faye is an indie-folk singer from Atlanta, Georgia who has incredibly relatable and sad lyrics that win me over with a very soft and unique voice.

Now that I have bragged about one of the best shows I have seen recently (which there have been several and none have come close to Miss Faye), let me get into the juice, what I have been waiting to talk about since February 9th.

As we all know, (maybe you don’t, or maybe you aren’t the TV watching type, or you skip for personal reasons) Euphoria’s second season came out. I know exactly what you’re thinking “Abbegayle, this is a music blog, why are you mentioning a TV show?” And to that I will say, I know. If there is one thing I like, it is a good soundtrack to a show or movie. I think we can all agree (those of us who have seen the show) that Labyrinth absolutely killed the first season's soundtrack. Hit an absolute homerun. However this season, so far, has had an outstanding soundtrack outside of what Labrinth wrote for this season, which is also amazing, don’t get me wrong. I know, from looking through twitter, that I am not the only one who has added nearly every song from every episode I have watched thus far. I think we can all agree that the first episode alone set the stage for the entire show, and that is what I love about soundtracks. The first episode started with "Don’t Be Cruel" by Billy Swan to a grandma walking into a strip club and absolutely f****** s*** up, which was the most amazing opening scene I have seen in a long time. The first episode also included "Hit ‘Em Up" by Tupac, "Right Down the Line" by Gerry Rafferty, "Dirty Work" by Steely Dan, and "Dead of Night" by Orville Peck (which the crowd went wild for). The second episode came with some notable mentions as well which include "Haunted" by Laura Les and "She Brings the Rain" by CAN. There are two more episodes left in the season, which is insane. We have almost made it through the roller coaster ride that is an entire season of Euphoria in real-time (instead of binging it like we all wished we could). I will be back soon to talk about more concerts and more albums, Mitski’s specifically wink wink. Until then, my fellow dawgs, I miss you, I love you, good luck on midterms, listen to good music, and watch Euphoria.

“Marinette,” Adrien whines as she opens the curtain the second they get back, “Sleep,”

“Just a minute, I want to design Damian something,” Marinette takes up residence at the desk, throwing open her sketchbook, “I will be friends with him!”

“Wasn't he kind of a jerk to you?” Adrien flops onto the bed, Plagg rig after him, "I think we should go back to that point, maybe sleep on it,"

“You were a jerk too~” Marinette sing-songs finishing up a rough sketch of a sweater.

“I was trying to get the gum off your seat!” Adrien slams his hands down.

“Sure you were~”

“Mariiiiiii,” Adrien collapses back into the bed covers, muffling his whining.

“Come on you,” Marinette collects her sketchbook, “Come get material with me,”

“No, it’s time to sleep,”

“It’s midday,”

“Your point?”

"Ok, Plagg 2.0 should I get you some camembert while I'm out too?"

"I'm up!" Adrien sits bolt upright, "Never call me that again,"

Marinette ends up dragging Adrien out of the mansion he pouts as Alfred delivers them into the city she thanks him profusely.

“We were just in the city why didn’t you pick up fabric then?” Adrien walks by her side down the street.

“Because I’m stuck between 2 concepts and I need to see the fabric before going forward,” Marinette bounces along looking through the windows there are quite a few craft shops in the area which suits her just fine.

“Please don’t run off,” Adrien gently holds her sleeve, “Marinette this city…”

“It’s filled with a dark energy,” Marinette agrees, even in this nicer area had something ominous hanging over it, “It’s like it’s seeped into the city’s very bones,”

“And the Akuma aren’t helping things,” A child across the street starts crying and they both instinctively lookout.

“On the plus side at least hawkmoth doesn't send Akuma after every little thing,” Marinette forces herself to relax, moving on as the kids parents comfort them.

“On the downside, he sends them after emotions that are a lot worse,” Adrien follows along into a store as Marinette filters through the shelves.

“Maybe but we can handle this,” Marinette absent-mindedly raises her fist, meeting Adreins, “Do you think I should make something for everyone, you know as a thank you?”

“I haven't gotten them anything,” Adrien takes the armful of fabric Marinette passes him as she brings out her sketchbook to select old designs.

“I’ll handle the making,” Marinette ticks off a vest she thinks with be perfect for Bruce, “And you handle the finances,”

“I stole my father's credit card,” Adrien says with a grin, “He’ll probably find out where I am soon anyway so might as well start using it,”

“In that case,” Marinette pulls out a roll of incredibly expensive fabric, “We also need new phones,”

“And we should go out for lunch,”

“Get our hair done?” Marinette adds, looking at her half hacked off hair “I still need to fix mine from this,”

“I was thinking our room could use a chair?”

“And the bookshelf is looking a bit empty,”

“A nice expensive rug would really liven up the room,”

“Would it be completely inappropriate to get a motorcycle?”

“Yes,” Adrien agrees, “Let's do it,”

They stop to get new phones first, having destroyed their old ones when they ran away. Adrien finds the most expensive restaurant in town, but it's on the far end so they stop to get a motorcycle first.

“I didn’t know you could ride,” Adrien gestures for the waiter in their private room, “Yes can I please have the duck?”

“My Nona taught me,” Marinette sips at the most expensive drink she can legally buy, “I thought you hated duck?”

“Oh I do,” Adrien grins, which drops when his phone starts ringing, “How did he even get this number?”

Marinette looks over his shoulder to see Gabriel trying to call. Adrien purposefully hangs up rolling his eyes.

“We should go do our hair next,” Adrien leans over the table with a manic grin, ”I was thinking of dying it hot pink,”

“Love the concept,” Marinette cringes at the very thought, “But the execution is flawed, you need to dye it a color you actually like not one just to spite your father otherwise he's still just controlling your life, just in a different way,”

“You're right,” Adrien sighs leaning back examining his blonde locks, “What do you think?”

“A nice pastel or cherry blossom pink would look amazing,” Adrien perks up at the suggestion he can still keep the pink, “Actually I might do that too- oh wait! Will that affect our transformation?”

“Not unless you really want to deep down,” Tikki explains, her and Plagg gorging themselves on expensive cheese and treats.

“Well deep down I really don't want to give away our identities like this,”

“It’s a plan then,” Adrien smiles, “Now do you want to order anything else?”

“Thanks but I’m full,”

“What's that got to do with anything?”

 ---

 “Looks great Nette,” Adrien gives her a side hug, the hairdresser shooing him away while he does the final touch-ups.

“Are you talking to me or yourself?” Marinette smiles at the new and improved shock of pink hair.

“Well obviously I look fabulous, but you look great too,” Marinette rolls her eyes at him looking back in the mirror. Instead of evening out her hair, they had made it look like her little episode was actually intentional giving it nice layers and even doing an undercut on the other side. Unlike Adrien, she didn't go all pink, instead the tips being white ombre up to pink and then her natural hair color.

“Thanks, you have to send a picture of your hair to Nino he's more invested in your teenage rebellion than you are, he’s probably also hurt you left him out of the running away part,”

“He has suggested, more than once, running away together,”

“Why what's wrong with Nino's family?”

“Nothing at all,” Adrien quickly covers, “I think he just really wanted me to run away, his mum offered to pack us lunches,”

“Well, maybe we could have used the turtle,” Marinette sighs, “But I could do that to Nino, you already had to leave Kagami behind, have you given her a call yet?”

“Oh um, about that-" Adrien points at her tapping his chin thoughtfully, "Never mention it again,”

“Adrien,” Marinette scowls, “Call your girlfriend,”

“She’ll kill me,” Adrien hides partly behind a seat looking meek, “Also you don't get to lecture me, you haven't called your parents,”

“That's different,” Marinette groans sinking into the seat, only to get told off for moving, “They’ll want me to come home, how am I supposed to explain that I can’t,”

“They’re your parents,” Adrien stresses, “I’m sure they’ll be happy enough to know your ok,”

“Maybe,” Marinette hums, the cloth being removed from her shoulders letting her get up, “I just feel so bad for putting them through this,”

“Maybe one day they’ll understand,” Adrien walks with her to the front to pay.

“Maybe,” Marinette looks down at the bill, “Wow this is a lot more expensive than the usual dye job,”

Made sense because they were in the higher income distinct of the city.

“Why Marinette,” Adrien grins swiping the card, “That's the point,”

Ten minutes later they were laughing as calls kept pouring in one after the other. They are only interrupted when they get the distinct feeling of an Akuma.

“Duty calls,” Adrien sighs putting his phone on silent.

“Seems so, at least we can call out skills multiple times," Marinette walks casually into an alley with him, “What are you up to?”

“About three,” Adrien shrugs transforming, “It takes about double the time for the transformation to drop now,”

“Same, wish I could say that gives us the edge but really it only keeps us from falling off the cliff,” Marinette also transforms, her new costume bringing a smile to her face.

“How eloquent my lady,” Marinette playfully pushes him, Chat catches himself catapulting over the building, she quickly follows behind.

The Akuma is standard, Marinette guesses the akumatized item is the wrist watch. The problem comes with their recurring thorn in her side.

“Ladybug-”

“Get out of the city,” She cuts Batman off, “Yeah, yeah let us handle this first,”

Marinette throws her yoyo out just in time to deflect an attack headed at Chat.

“Do you need any help?” Robin asks, Marinette smiles, partly at the aghast face Batman makes.

“Do you think you could tag-team it with me?” She asks formulating a plan, with the extra help she might not need the lucky charm, “Make your attacks big and draw his attention, grab the wristwatch if you can,”

“On it,” Robin gives her a nod jumping into the fray, Ladybug doesn't give batman a chance to object running after.

Robin does a good job they work in perfect sync falling back when the other moves to make an attack. When the Akuma focuses on them too much Chat swoops in and gets their attention giving them the chance to swipe at the wristwatch. It goes on she sees Robin get thrown back after another failed swipe at the wristwatch. Ladybug takes the chance to move forward grabbing for the wrist, she isn't watching out for the other arm, the impact hitting and sending her flying back.

“I got you,” Her momentum is stopped by a hand bracing at her back, saving her from crashing into the adjacent building.

“Thanks, Robin,” He helps steady her as she finds her footing again, “I’ll move in you follow me up,”

“No need,” He smirks brandishing the watch.

“You did it,” Ladybug beams, taking the watch and smashing it to the ground, “Great job!”

“Ah, thanks,” Ladybug doesn't pay attention to how Robin brushes, focusing on purifying the Akuma and fixing the damage.

“We made a pretty good team,” Ladybug turns to Robin when everything is settled, “Pound it,”

Robin meets her fist with some hesitance, which disappears when she smiles at him again.

“Ladybug!” Batman yells heading their way.

“Ops sorry,” Ladybug cringes, “Sorry! Cant stop gotta go, bye bye!”

They run from the scene faster than Batman can hope to catch them. They end up back at her newly brought bike stacked with fabric and protected by a bit of luck. Marinette races home to make everyone's gifts, knowing just who she wanted to start with.

 “There you are!” Marinette exclaims, having spent the past half hour searching the manor for him.

“What do you want?” Damian snaps as if he wasn't just playing with the cat on the floor half a second ago.

“Nothing, I made something for you~” He continues to scowl but Marinette doesn't let it discourage her, “Here, I didn’t know your size so I made a baggier style, do you like it?”

Damian takes the sweater holding it up to where she put it on him looking down a little shocked. Marinette almost wants to laugh at the expressions trying to shift back from awe to disinterest, it’s cute. She smiles wondering what his face would look like if she made a matching one for the cat, and maybe Titus too.

“.... It’s well made,” Damian eventually allows, folding it over his arm, Marinette notices how his fingers linger on the soft fabric.

“Good to know,” She smiles, bidding him goodbye before the moment can be ruined. She bounces down the hall humming to herself.

“Someone's happy,” Tikki flies out of her bag.

“He liked it, why wouldn't I be happy?”

“Someones really happy,”

“Stop it Tikki,” Marinette giggles, making the kwami laugh in turn.

“Just like adrien~” Tikki sing songs floating down the hall ahead of her.

“Well then, keep Kagami far away from this one,”

“Don’t turn into a stuttering mess and we have a deal,” Tikki agrees.

“Please Tikki I’m not thirteen anymore,” Marinette brushes her off, ready to go make the others gifts, if she spent the whole time humming to herself Tikki wasn't going to explain why to Adrien.
