Hello dear! 😊 I couldn't help but read the tags of your reblog of my Grayson/Mel fanart!! I also happen to know that you have very good headcanons and write equally good stories 😉 No wonder, that I got curious and decided to drop you this little ask about my favourite ship, hehe. So, what are your thoughts about Grayson x Mel, what kind of dynamic can you imagine them to have?? 🤓 Also, I've happened to see your queue of fics your working on and almost fell off my chair in excitement, because it lists "power bottom Grayson"!!! I've always seen her as top, with Mel being more of a power bottom/brat. But I also hc that Grayson has her moments where she doesn't mind Mel being the top. What do you say? Does this spark any ideas that you might provide for further inspiration? 😇

My thoughts on your favorite ship? Well, I honestly hadn't even considered it until I saw that lovely art of yours, but here are some thoughts that come to mind at the moment. I did try to sorta organize my thoughts, but not sure I did so well. My apologies for that. Also, a little lengthy, so below the cut...

So I could actually see their relationship starting out as a friendship or a sort of mentor-type relationship. Mel doesn't seem to have the best relationship with her mother, so I could see her really leaning on Grayson not only as someone with more life experience, but also as someone who more aligns with her own beliefs and values than her mom. Grayson is certainly no pushover, but she is considerably more compassionate and empathetic.

Of course, that friendship would eventually bloom into romance. (Not sure how either could possibly resist the other.)

I could see either being the one to finally take it to the next level. Or honestly, it could be neither of them. It could just happen naturally, perhaps without either even realizing it.

Maybe they go on lunch dates initially (as friends or even colleagues depending on if we're talking canon universe or AU). But their conversations always tend to start drifting to more personal subjects. And eventually, it may even lead to a majority of their chats being personal.

They both start to slowly incorporate soft, intimate touches. Like Mel placing those delicate fingers of hers on the backs of Grayson's hands whenever Grayson is feeling weighed down by her work. And Grayson pressing her hand against the small of Mel's back when she guides her through the crowds. Or pulling her chair out for her. (I love to think of Grayson as being very debonair. Such a gentlewoman.)

Then lunches turn into dinners at a fancy restaurant, and those eventually turn into home-cooked dinners at Grayson's (that they cook together!) Next thing you know, they're sharing a bottle of Chardonnay and their true feelings start to bubble to the surface.

I also HC them being big on witty banter. They're both highly intelligent and quick-witted. Lots of flirting, teasing, and just a battle of quips. And really, I think they'd be evenly matched. One of them would have to break eventually, but it changes from day to day.

Gonna throw in a random idea here for... IDK, a prompt, or maybe just how they end up starting to see more of each other. Perhaps the council is suddenly in danger. Maybe a series of death threats are made to the council. So each member ends up being assigned a high-ranking officer to be a bodyguard of sorts. And wouldn't you know it, Mel is the lucky one to have Grayson as her protector. So of course, they end up spending quite a lot of time together. And with time, feelings arise. Plus there could be some thrilling moments in which Mel does actually find herself in danger, where her heroine Grayson has to save/protect her!

I 100% agree with you that, at least in most cases, Mel is very much a power bottom (and rather bratty about it).

Also, I see Grayson primarily as a service top. More than happy to oblige Mel.

I imagine Mel being a bit impatient, but playfully so (goes right along with the whole bratty bottom). She's not mean or nasty by any means. Sort of teasing Grayson for taking her damn sweet time when they are between the sheets. Not that she doesn't enjoy or even expect some foreplay. She just has her limits.

But Grayson would enjoy just playing along. She'd dish whatever smart remark Mel makes right back at her. More of that fun, witty banter dynamic I mentioned earlier.

"Grayson, honey, if I'd wanted nothing more than a massage I'd have brought in a masseuse."

"So sorry darling, I had no idea you had someplace to be on this Saturday evening."

Although I think Grayson could also just simply play nice and indulge her impatient, albeit sweet, Mel. Tame the brat with sweet words, agreeing to anything Mel demanded with a whispered, "Of course, love." Or "Yes, darling." Following each up with a tender kiss or a gentle touch.

Okay, so maybe this one is a little random, but seeing how much Mel likes to paint, I could totally see her insisting that she paint a nude portrait of Grayson. It would probably take some convincing. Not that Grayson is shy, but more so that she is a bit modest. But with enough of Mel's smooth sweet talk and flattery (commenting on how gorgeous Grayson is) I think Grayson would cave.

Also, in regards to the power bottom Grayson request in my queue; that poor thing has been sitting there for months. I've been too distracted by other things and then I had some trouble deciding how I wanted to implement it. However, it is with my beta right now, so hopefully it will be posted soon!

For this scenario we're gonna say you're a fellow streamer and met at Twitch Con

I was happy to finally be going out with my friends, not seeing the light of day much beforehand. Me and George were walking through the con and talking to some new people, most being more streamers. At some point along the way George had wandered off to do his own thing. I didn't bother looking for him as I could just call him if I needed him. I looked around and spotted a person with the COOLEST t-shirt on. I walked up to them and started a conversation.

"Hey! I love your shirt."

"Hmm? Oh thank you! You're Dream."

"I am hehe. How's your afternoon going?"

"Busy, I've talked to so many people."

"Ugh same, so (insert fav video game) huh? Good choice good choice."

"Yeah, it's one of my favorites right now, you played it?"

"I did."

He heard your phone vibrate from you pocket/bag. You reached for it to open it and sighed.

"It's one of my friends, they're here with me and got caught up talking to someone, you want my number so we can talk more later?"

"Oh same, George and Sapnap are here too... Somewhere. Here I'll pull up my contacts."

Just as I stepped though the door my mind wandered back to the person at con. Holy shit they were cute, those eyes, the personality. I'm gonna text them. No wait, too soon. They were so cool though.

"Hey Dream!" George yelled from the other side of the hotel room.

"Why are you yelling, I'm just around the corner dude. What do you want?"

"My bad, you've been awfully quiet since we met back up, are you alright?" He actually sounded concerned.

"Yeah, I met a cute person at con and don't know if I should text them yet or not."

"Oouu Dreamies got a crush huh? I mean go for it man, I'm sure they won't think anything of it." George went back in his phone shortly after.

"Oh shut it loser. I will" I walked over to my bad and pulled out my phone. Shit, they already texted me.

I had to unbutton the top of my shirt, it was getting rather warm in here. I got interviewed and went to find Sapnap again. As I turned a corner I bumped right into someone.

"Oh shit! My bad, are yo- Woah."

"Umm, it's ok, what's the woah about haha" I teased them slightly looking to meet their eyes. 'Oh shit, they're kinda pretty.' I blushed a tad.

"Oh nothing sorry, You're Georgenotfound right? I've watched you a few times during squid craft."

"Did you? That's cool, are you nominated for anything tonight?" Why is making conversation with a cute person so hard, George get it together they probably have a partner.

"No, but I heard you buddy Quackity I'd nominate for Best Minecrafter, that's cool!" They never once broke eye contact, those eyes were something I'd never forget, mesmerizing really.

"Yeah, he couldn't make it, I'm here with Karl and Sapnap though. You here with friends?"

"No, None of my friends wanted to come. I'm so glad I met someone." They giggled.a.bit before going completely silent.

"I'm sure they won't mind you tagging along. I like the outfit by the way, it fits you good. Er umm I like the pattern." Shit shit shit, George you're an idiot.

"Hahaha oh George, you're blushing. Thank you, let's go find your friends shall we?"

"Yeah, they might be in the bathroom."

As they say here with us during the ceremony I was cought glancing by Sap.

"Gogys gotta crush huh?" Sapnap elbowed me a few times.

"Oh shit it man, I mean look at them, how could you not?"

"George, I'm right here ya know." They turned a bit to look at me. "If you wanted my number you could of just asked"

Sapnap and Karl laughed at this edging me on to ask them.

"I-I guess, umm, lemme pull up my contacts, get yours."

"Got it. Ya know, you're not to bad your self 'Gogy' haha"

"Thanks hehe"

I hated being a mentor for new kids, they're always so awkward and weird. I waited with the principal for them. As soon as I spotted them I had changed my mind. They had (favorite band) in their shirt and their shoes were awesome.

"Bro, your shoes are killer, I'm Karl imma be your mentor for the first few days"

"Thanks, my name's (Y/N) er you probably knew that."

"I didn't actually, Mr.Principal doesn't tell us anything important, you didn't hear that from me though"

"Got it got it." We walked over to get their schedule and I showed them their locker.

"Damn, you're in almost all my classes, that's cool"

summoning him wasn't your ideia to begin with, you where just looking through this old bookshop on one of your days off and randomly came across this black cover really heavy book that looked really interesting, so you just bought it bc why not? it looked like a good book

now, looking at the tall, dark haired man surrounded by black thick smoke who just came out your apartment floor -at least that was what it looked like to you-, you understood why the old lady at the store gave you a weird look once you bought it - and tbh you where kinda cursing yourself mentally for your old habit of reading things out loud -

your first meeting with him was a really strange event. you didn't scream nor anything, just started at him blankly, confusion writing all over your face

and that's exactly why mingyu decided you were a really interesting person to be around. that and the fact that you didn't exactly had anything to ask him, no bargain to make, just questions about what it was like to be a demon, if all the myths were true, what hell was like and thigs like that - oh, and why he was so attractive, bc all the myths said that demons were ugly creatures and "he was too hot to be a demon", like you told him on the day you guys meet -

tbh, mingyu wasn't intending to stay for that long, but it has been two months now, and he felt so comfortable around you -and you around him- that he just decided he would stay as long as you wanted him too.

which he regrets a week later, when you practically drag him to a party with one of your friends - whom you had to convince that he was def not ur bf -

its not that mingyu didn't like parties, he liked them a lot actually, but something about the air tonight seemed a bit off and he couldn't exactly tell why

so that's exactly how you end up practically dragging him across the block and him complaining sm about this party

"aren't you like, supposed to like parties? you can try and collect new souls or idk get laid." you say, after he stopped in his heals, arms crossed, with a face you couldn't quite read.

"i told you already, y/n, something off about tonight, can't we just go back to your apartment?" his tone was serious, but you weren't having it.

"no. and before you go and try to threaten me, i know you can't take my soul bc i wont give it to you, and you won't kill me. so, you can either tag along or just go back to the apartment and wait for me." this time it was you who crossed you arms on ur chest, staring at him.

and that's exactly why he gave up, rolling his eyes and saying he would go with you.

mingyu didn't knew why, but he felt really protective over you. ofc he knew that wasn't supposed to happen bc hes a demon not ur guarding angel, but he couldn't help it, after all, you were his friend.

that's exactly what he try to repeat on his head when he saw that guy coming closer to you, anger getting the best of him

and the fact that you were clearly uncomfortable with he mans advancements only made it worst

so that how he sees himself coming closer to you, standing behind the man, anger visible in his voice

"i think she said shes not interested." his voice was low, and the man turned around, clearly not caring.

"oh, yeah, dude? when what you gonna do about that?"

and that's when you looked over at mingyu, your eyes telling him to just let go, but you regret it instantly

now, you were never afraid of his "demon face", like he would call it, it was something he had show to you before, and you found it really peculiar -and really, really hot-

but something about the red eyes and wicked smile this time made chills run down your spine

so that's how you let mingyu silently drag you off that party by your arm, no complain leaving your lips, and not daring to take another look at his face

until you guys reached your apartment

that's when you took a peak at his face through the mirror on the back of your door

"gyu? your face... its ok, we're home now." it sounded like a whisper and you felt too vulnerable.

"oh" that was the only sound that left his lips when he looked at himself in the mirror.

and you? well, you just went to the kitchen, trying to shake that feeling off bc it was just mingyu, your sweet demon friend, who wouldn't dream about hurting you

so you just jumped when you turned around to grab the ramen from the other shelf and saw him standing right behind you

mingyu, on the other hand, was feeling extremely guilty and ashamed at the fact that you were scarred of him, so the only thing he did was pull you for a bear crushing hug and say "im so sorry" and "i didn't mean to scare you" over and over on your hair

and ofc u hugged him back, bc it was mingyu, your giant demon-puppy friend

who might not be just your friend anymore bc when he grabbed ur face and gave you a small sweet kiss on your lips, you just sweetly smiled at him, saying it was okay.

have you ever considered some abstract-ass pairings? like the "how the fuck did you even come up with that pairings?

im not accusing you of doing it lol, but i personally do and am. curious to see if i am normal

IM NOT TOTALLY SURE, because i tend to have very specific reasonings for why i think two characters would be good together, but i definitely think that from an outside perspective some of my ships can be seen as pretty abstract..

(under the cut again sorry im nonstop yapping for way too long guys..)

BUT almost any pairing you think of in a semi-popular fandom like saiki k, SOMEBODY has probably made content about it.. and its more popular in japan, so you may not be able to FIND ur pairing but theres probably SOMETHING out there about it, just in a language you aren't searching in or something.. like, toritsuka x kuboyasu is one pairing i have NEVER seen an english speaking person post about, but if you go in japanese or korean speaking saiki k spaces, that ship is EXTREMELY popular! theres TONS of fanart!!

so yea, whats popular or even what gets any content at all can be surprising sometimes.. like, a few of my favorite tdlosk ships are arisu x rifuta, arisu x aiura, and rifuta x yumehara (+arisu x yumehara but this is kinda popular i think) (im just a lesbian with a bias towards sapphic ships, i see two pretty girls and i ship..) and i shipped them before i ever started looking online for content and when i finally did, i didnt think i would ever see any content of them but. there is. theres plenty of content of them. theyre rare enough pairs that i dont think they have ship names so it can be hard to actually find that content since theres no ship name ever tagged, but it very much exists!

if youd asked me this like a month ago i wouldve said that saiki x suzumiya is one of these abstract ships for me (if you wanna know why i like it, i just like the idea of instead of satou being so average he balances her out, saiki just like superhero-ing every other minute without her even noticing. i also like this as a polycule which ill talk about in a minute-) but somebody on here posted it around that time LOL.. theres also some other rare pairs i enjoy like mera x saiki or kuboyasu x yumehara, but though these are rare-ish pairs, they still have a notable presence so i wouldnt quite call them abstract.. (also yo damn well kubosai is my NUMBER ONEEEE ship, which you could call a rare pair if you didnt go on tumblr or ao3 cuz its VERY concentrated over here and doesnt really exist anywhere else.. except in the japanese fandom LOL.. but yea its definitely not a rare pair over here, its gotten way more popular recently too..)

the more abstractness comes when you start shipping polycules... then its way less likely for you to be able to find your specific ship.. lol.. like the ones i just talked about, you put rifuta x yumehara x arisu x aiura all together ?? no WAY am i gonna find that, it may exist somewhere but youll never find it, or at least i couldnt lol.. some of my fav rare (more like completely nonexistent except for some IVE posted about) polyam ships are the one i just said, kuboyasu x saiki x hairo x nendo, (also love kuboyasu x saiki x kaido but this one actually gets content hehe.. same with kuboyasu x kaido x yumehara.. LOVE that one..) mera x yumehara x aiura, kuboyasu x saiki x saiko (x kaido maybe), toritsuka x kaido x yumehara, mera x saiki x kuboyasu (x saiko sometimes and/or hairo) and probably more that im forgetting... i also really love the psychickers x satou and suzumiya which im actually not sure if theres ever been content of them, i think the only time ive seen it mentioned is someone being like "theyre dating hehe" on a pic of them lol.. its a funny ship for me because its actually one of my favorites even though some of the individual ships im not a fan of + i also hc that satou is very very straight but idk.. somehow this works.. i feel like maybe if he starts dating suzumiya and shes bi and polyam then it might accidentally give him a sexuality crisis because hes probably never even considered that he could be queer before.. idk.. whatever.. it just works..

idk, someone give me examples of tdlosk rare pairs that could actually work...

aww shucks :33 thank you dear author !! Maybe I am a writer after all, just maybe not a writer in my own standards hehehe

It's really interesting to see what you said as both a reader and a writer, it seems to me as a reader you value more characterization and how other writers would write to characters in their own perspectives based on the lore + the personalities of the character in game (I myself really like it when the writer has a firm grasp on the characterization of the character, and it's even better if they add something unconventional to them but still feels familiar and something the character would 100% do canonically)

BTW, I saw the tags and since you've asked so nicely ~

My favorite characters pretty much consist of the shorty squad; Venti, Scaramouche, and Aether

Venti is actually the reason why I got into the fandom as his character design really intrigued me (When i first saw him online I fr thought he was a girl and was like- Xiao's twin because of their color palettes being so similar awkward considering i later on start to ship xiaoven) and once I actually started doing research on his lore, I became even more interested ! He is now my favorite character lore wise :DD

Scaramouche, I'm not gonna lie the only reason I love Scara is because his design is really immaculate in my eyes (sadge that he's getting redesigned D'':) And just like Venti—I looked into his lore and became interested ! (then I heard his in game voices, for japanese and english, and boi I was whipped)

Aether is one of my favs because I find him really interesting, I really like reading other peoples headcanons for him, whether it be him using sign language to communicate because in game he doesn't talk as much, or when it's him being the more emotional twin of the two, I just love it all :D Lore wise, the fact that Aether may or may not be a deity, as well as Lumine, is really interesting— honestly tho, the entire lore surrounding the twins is really interesting, their reasonings for helping the abyss when they're the abyss twin, the way they say that the other twin should see the whole Teyvat before they can reunite once again- there's so much mystery and ANGST I love it :''D

I have a lot of other fav characters that I have just cuz I really resonate with them but these three shorties are the ones I usually gravitate to :P

hehe, i'm proud of you, anon! i hope there will come a day where you'd deem yourself fit to be considered a writer in your standards,

mhm, each writer views characters through their own lens and that is something i find quite beautiful in a way <3 i'm not a picky reader because i've always loved all writers' interpretations even if they differ from mine — but i am picky as a writer because my works are how i share my interpretations and i really want to communicate them as best as i can ;( but i try not to push myself too hard, dw!

( spoilers about ei's second story quest and the backstory for kaeya and childe !! )

"add something unconventional to them but still feels familiar and something the character would 100% do canonically" THIS !! the exact ideology i strive for as a genshin writer 🙏 i love to write while considering how a chara's backgrounds/environments and habits could've possibly affected their reactions to certain things. it may seem like overly extensive efforts, but it's always been worth it to me! ;D (which is why i am selective when it comes to writing for unreleased characters, unless i've gathered enough info and observed them for a while like scaramouche and dainsleif.)

i love the way venti and scara attracted you with their designs first, then you searched up their lore and suddenly, it's too late to turn back fjwkkdksek and aether !! i really wish hoyoverse would give us more lore about the twins and canon traits that differentiate them instead of leaving them to seem like genderswapped versions of each other :( tho i remember during the 'we will be reunited' quest when they said each other's names regardless of the name we input as the player !!

AGREED. the fog surrounding khaenri'ah and the cataclysm is so full of mystery??? and the twin that ruled the abyss order was there to witness it while the other was asleep — but what exactly did they witness? once when going home was their only desire, what kind of horror could've happened that made them change their mind? THE LORE AND THE ANGST.

dw about rambling! i love them and i happen to be a chronic rambler myself too, hehe 🤝 oooo, my favorite characters lore-wise are kaeya, ei and childe! >:)

it's no secret that kaeya has always been a gold mine of mysteries. not just his origins stemming from the destroyed civilization of khaenri'ah and the way he was supposed to be a spy, but the fact that hoyoverse gave him a strained brotherhood with diluc added even more to his already jam-packed lore. and despite the laid-back way he carries himself, i noticed how he struggles with loneliness and reading his letters to diluc from the hidden strife event made me adore his character even more. i don't talk about my interest in kaeya often, but he is definitely my #1 favorite character lore-wise! sometimes, i wonder if he was a limited character and not a starter one, would people have viewed him differently?

ei's second story quest left a long-lasting impression on me even till this day and the loss she experienced after what happened to makoto and her friends :( i still think her first story quest should've been the second instead because it does shed some light on ei's personality (e.g. her unfamiliarity with social interactions since makoto has always been the one to handle that + the way she's behind on trends and even creations like a kamera because she's locked herself in the euthymia for so long), but it would've had a bigger impact and more depth as the epilogue instead of the introductory quest, imo!

on the other hand, childe is interesting to me because of the way he differs from his fellow harbingers, how he places such a strong belief in the tsaritsa, and how he is an oddball yet unapologetically himself. and as much as a morally grey of a character he is, ajax's love for his family makes him more realistic and that he retains a part of his old self even after falling into the abyss. one of the reasons i'm looking forward to snezhnaya is actually to see more of this stupid dumbo. I Hear Them Calling for You by @jaerie / jaerie (6k, E, Harry/Louis) - this fic is... not for everyone. like at all. please please please read the tags and the summary and if you don't like it or it makes you uncomfortable, then close right out of it. as for ME i loved what she explored with it, all the emotions and the story and worldbuilding of it all. i thought it was fantastic and incredibly interesting. it is A/B/O, pack fic with claiming and... yeah. it's amazing.

Campus Creatures by @kingsofeverything / kingsofeverything and @louandhazaf / YesIsAWorld (25k, E, Harry/Louis) - werewolves! vampires! fae! university! frat houses! science research positions being vied for! enemies to lovers! like... not sure what more you could ASK for, but there's also a fuck ton of humor and nudity and sexual tension and... it's just a lot of fun. can't go wrong, really. haha

From What I've Tasted of Desire by @evilovesyou / 4ureyesonly28 (72k, T, Harry/Louis) - okay so i'm including this one even though like... harry and louis aren't werewolves. but it's a twilight au, so there ARE werewolves and i'm ASSUMING you know twilight and therefore know that means you know they're pretty involved and... that's true for this fic too. ahha for real, though, i love evi's writing and this fic was one of my first introductions to it and it was a fun read, so i wanted to include it in case it had enough of the werewolf flair to entice you haha

Compete Against the Stars by @daggerandrose / amomentoflove (31k, M, Harry/Louis) - omg okay so this one is like ANGSTY AF and i FUCKING LOVE IT because it's one of those fics that you HOPE you have figured out, and you probably do, but also there's SO many twists and turns to it all that you just have NO idea how it's all gonna work out and omg are they gonna just ruin it all for themselves by being stupid and ahhhhh the tension of just FIGURING OUT HOW THEY GET IT ALL TO WORK OUT!!! and of course it does. hahaha but HOW??? this is a RIDE and in my mind feels like a longer fic than 31k in the best of ways, they did an amazing job of packing a LOT of world building and storytelling into those 31k.

the straight for your heart (wolfpack au) series by foreverkneeld and foundfamilyvevo (96k, T/G, Multiple or No pairings including Niall/Louis, Zayn/Liam, OT5, and Shawn/Niall) - This series is the ultimate hurt/comfort and healing pack fic series omg. it was recommended to me when i was in a super hard time and my anxiety was so bad i couldn't focus on anything. These short fics that all focused so much on healing and found family were exactly what i needed. so so soft, so lovely. I still haven't read them all because i'm saving them for when i need them. they're glorious.

when the air ran out and we both started running wild by darlingjustdont (48k, M, Nick/Louis) - OMG OKAY LISTEN THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVS. a tomlinshaw werewolf pack fic?! ahhhhhhhhh i was SO happy when i discovered this one. louis is alpha of the pack and things are... shaky, shall we say. there's a lot going on that he's worried about and then he meets nick and it's kind of enemies to lovers? okay, more than kind of. but omg the FEELS. SO. MANY. FEELS. but also danger and a;lsdgkhas;ldfkja just please read this and rave with me because i don't have many i can talk about this one with and i LOVE IT.

You Smell Like by mystic_believexx (185k, M, Harry/Louis) - i had no idea this fic was so long hahahaha wow ANYWAY louis is human, but he's always been close with harry and therefore basically a part of his pack. but then one day harry leaves and louis kind of accidentally becomes the pack alpha. even though he's human. but there's SO much more to it. there's just sooooo much with the friendship and the pack bond as well as the danger and trying to figure out what the hell is going on... it's just a LOT and one of those epic fics that i still think about even though i read it...a year and a half ago i guess. but it's amazing and i highly recommend it if the word count doesn't scare you away haha

Canyon Moon by @eeveelou / delsicle (41k, E, Harry/Louis) - this is a lion king au, made a/b/o werewolves! i really enjoyed this one a lot, actually, because i could absolutely see the parallels, but also the way it was adapted made it so it wasn't always obvious how it would all play out. it was a really interesting and cool world building as well.

The Truth I Can't Explain (Smoke and Mirrors) by @fallinglikethis / FallingLikeThis (9k, M, Harry/Louis) - ohhhhh this one is SO cool cause it's by tabby so she made it incredibly fun and fascinating to try to figure out. there's magic and mages and werewolves and feuds and they're basically on the eve of battle and holy cow it's just SO cool.

One Touch Is Never Enough by @kingsofeverything / kingsofeverything (4k, E, Harry/Louis) - once again lauren delivers and there's just so much i keep giggling about with this because it is SO fun. there's a lot that louis is dealing with in this fic hahaha and the way she writes it all is so funny. the poor man just wants a fucking massage! lololol it's lighthearted, humorous, and basically filled with fluff, crack, and smut. hahaha

Knot Safe For Work by @jaerie / jaerie (6k, E, Harry/Louis) - a;sldkgha;lfdkjas listen i forgot about this fic until i found it in my bookmarks for werewolves because jenna writes so many fucking amazing fics that when i think of werewolves, i think of at least two others first, but i could NOT do this rec without this fic because now that i remember it exists i am going to have to go and read it again! hahaha harry's a werewolf, louis is a wizard, there's knotting dildos and table sex and... just read it. lolol

Saving's What I Need by @jaerie / jaerie (17k, M, Harry/Louis) - writer louis is out for a drive one day and he hits a dog. THIS POOR DOG! he takes it to the vet and tries his best to take care of it... but things are not as they seem. because yeah, harry is defo not a dog. lollllll this fic was hilarious and sweet and omg there's just so much to love about it. there were so many more emotions in it than i expected. loooove!

Out of the Wild by @jaerie / jaerie (22k, E, Harry/Louis) - this fic has such fun world building, which is actually a huge strength of jenna's fics and you'll hear me rave about it with all 50 of her fics that will end up on this rec list (not really 50, but ya know lol). louis is a fairly wild and undomesticated wolf and harry's from the city and they end up as roommates during the x factor process. oh my word this fic is so fun because of all the challenges they're going through PLUS the wolf side of things and just... the way they work together and navigate it all as well as falling for each other is pure gold.

Out With The Old, In With The New by, you guessed it, @jaerie / jaerie (7k, E, Harry/Louis) - listen, just. this one is smutty as hell and it's gonna take you some places that some people will be uncomfortable with, which is totally valid and fair. please be sure to read the tags and make your decision on whether or not to read accordingly, but also know that its written in a super interesting way that is also pretty amazing if you do decide to give it a shot. lol

amaryllis by @hattalove / hattalove (147k, E, Harry/Louis) - for a long time this was thought of as THE werewolf fic. if anyone was talking about a werewolf fic, it was probably this one. is that still the case? probably. i'm not sure. ANYWAY. there's a REASON it was THE werewolf fic and that's because this is amazing. it sucks you in and you feel like you're truly a part of the action. it's filled with the vibe of found family and wanting to figure out what happened while also adjusting to your new life and just... so many feelings. so much angst. SO fantastically epic.

i def understand what you're saying! it's not because x reader is ambiguous but because (and this is something i noticed in the qotd thingy lol) that most of us writers think about ourselves when we write. so i thought, why not make it happen? after all, we're all here to have our fun and we write for ourselves in the first place. so, yeah, i wanted to go ahead and write a self insert. i know it might not be like a x reader bc the scope of reference is way too reduced but... i guess the idea of a self insert is to see me reflected on it.

i'm still a bit 🙈 to show something that is me x my all time fav but at the same time i find it like idk, it scratches an itch ive been having for a long time (LMFAO WHATS THAT PHRASE). also because i want to start normalizing writing for myself!! like, literally. at least i'm gonna start doing it more often because i'm in luv with my selfship♥🥺

anyways!! yeah, writing for your selfship can be kind of hard at first because, what can you write?

well, fic-wise, i started with describing our dynamic, how we see each other (two lovesick dorks that simp for each other hehe). also, you can start with little headcannons! for instance, what do you and [fav] do in x circumstances? what do you like doing? how would they react to a certain situation?

i do those a lot! when i see "rb and put in the tags" kinda posts, or when i have a random thought, i type it out! sometimes i share them and sometimes i don't! i remember the last tanjicherry thing i did (writing-wise) was this thirst. first person pov, and all. however, with this one i'm writing atm, i'm using 3rd person pov hehe (i never use it so it's kinda fun and challenging lol)

also!! maybe visuals can do it too! a moodboard, a pinterest board, a playlist, you name it.

1. Aoki vs Imae aka absolute himbo showdown of two absolutely best boys, gave comedy, gave heart, gave life lessons, gave EVERYTHING literally the best fucking fight in the whole entire series

2. Ippo vs sigma male Alf motherfucking Ganjalez - i was dreading to reread this because i though it's gonna last 2 months but it was a) way way way shorter than expected b) the mood was fantastic, it was a proper wild ride to a foreshadowed great disasterina c) alf literally broke down my door came into my house and snatched my wig clean off and now i simp for his sigma ass

3. Itagaki vs Imai take 1 and take 2 - quick and dynamic, two actually unexpected and unusual outcomes, fantastic goofy drama and rival storyline between these two. RIDICULOUSLY UNDERRATED BY BOTH READERS AND THE AUTHOR. oh my god ..... the mistreatment these two receive, i cannot deal with it

4. Ippo vs Take Keiichi - ok listen the way when i was rereading i was like 'who the fuck is take keiichi' and then it shockingly turned out one of the most interesting and sad quick fights in ippo, where the roles of 'who is the real underdog' are completely flipped and all you see is a crafty old man desperately trying to find all tricks in his sleeve, to do something against most talented boy made of pure muscle with monster penis who hits like five trucks

5. Takamura vs Bryan Hawk - probably not underrated by most but I never really favored this one, when genuinely.. it is Takamura's best fight imo, the bloody mad showdown between two WWE heels *nicki minaj aggressively blasts in the background*

So I made them canon, inspired by my fellow junjin enthusiasts and had tons of fun with it hahahah.

June: Most popular from Move to Heaven, this father-son scene 😭😭. I have to add this adnevent set for pride month, Yeh Jun from Run On. This set took a really long time cos I was still very new on the blending gifs together/using overlays, but I am very pleased at how this turned out.

July: My #1 relatable gif manipulation of Yeonghwa from Run On breaking down on Mondays is the most popular. I mean, where is the lieeee. When I saw this prompt, there’s only one thing in mind, which is Yeonghwa crying and Dan Ah trying to calm him down lolol

November: This set from Howl’s Moving Castle got the most notes and i’m very happy with my colouring for it hehe. Bonus! I had so much fun editing this funny scene from The Red Sleeve into a set.

December: This adorable precious set of Deok Im, Yi San and the puppy from (currently obsessed) The Red Sleeve had the most notes for obvious reasons. Another set that I’m really fond of is the scenery set I made for Bulgasal, the cinematography for this drama *chef’s kiss*.

Summary: Sokka and the reader spend a day at the carnival together!

*Set sometime in the future where covid is over!! Stay safe everyone!

Y/N was tired of staying home all the time. When quarantine ended, the first thing she wanted to do was something fun and social, so when she saw an Instagram post for a carnival later that week, she knew that she had to go. She called a “family meeting,” and everyone met in the middle of the living room, waiting for what Y/N had to say. Katara and Sokka made their way over to the couch, plopping down with some snacks in their hands, whereas Aang, Toph, and Zuko sat down onto the carpeted floor.

“OKAY. So, y’all know how we haven’t done anything outside our home for a while, right?” Everyone nodded. “Guess what I found.” She eagerly whipped out her phone and scrolled to the carnival advertisement post.

“It can be something fun for us to do together! Please?” She looked at everyone. “Go with me?”

“Only if you hold my hand,” Sokka wiggled his eyebrows at her, causing her to roll her eyes.

“Sure, it’ll be fun!” Katara and Aang began scheduling it onto their phones’ calendars, and Zuko nodded, signaling his approval.

“Why not?” Toph shrugged. Y/N clapped her hands in excitement. They were going to the carnival!

Everyone stood outside the bustling carnival, unsure where to start. Sokka grabbed Y/N’s hand instantly and gravitated towards the food, dragging Y/N along. Aang and Zuko headed to the Hall of Mirrors, whereas Toph and Katara dispersed from the group to take funny photos of each other in the photo booth.

“Ooh, funnel cakes! Y/N look! Cotton candy!” Sokka jumped at the sight of all of the food the carnival offered. “Hot dogs!” Sokka grabbed two hot dogs, handing one to Y/N. “Sorry, I guess you only need the sausage, since you already got them buns.” He winked, and Y/N groaned. “I’m just joking!” He put his hands up in surrender, and Y/N slapped his arm in response.

By the end of a short 10-minute walk, Sokka and Y/N were full of sweet carnival treats, and Sokka’s eyes lit up once again as soon as he saw the carnival games.

“I need to get you a teddy bear!” He eagerly pulled her arm, making her laugh. “Come on!” He led her to a bright red and yellow booth. “Ring toss!”

“You know those things are rigged, right? There’s no way you’re going to win.” She rolled her eyes, but Sokka shook his head.

“What kind of carnival date would this be if the boyfriend didn’t get the girlfriend the classic carnival teddy bear?” He gave her a goofy grin as he walked up to the man running the ring toss game.

“One try please.” He spoke in that “Wang Fire” voice that Y/N always found hilarious, and this time was no exception. She giggled as he tried his best to toss the ring onto one of the pins. Squinting in focus, Sokka threw as accurately as he could, and surprisingly, it landed smack onto the middle pin. Y/N’s mouth swung open. Sokka gave her a quick “I told you I could do it” look before turning back to the man.

“Congratulations, choose your prize!” The man gestured to the rows of prizes, and Sokka picked out a blue teddy bear. He grabbed it in his hands and handed it to her.

“See, you were wrooong,” he sang in a sing-song voice, smiling. “What are you gonna name it?” His face lit up. “OH OH, NAME IT SOKKA JR.”

“No way.” She shook her head, laughing.

“Please? I got it for you,” he pouted.

“Nope. I’m naming it… Katara Jr.” He gasped, offended.

“KATARA JR?!? Come on, I’m at least better than Katara,” he argued.

“Are you sure about that?” She grinned at his insulted facial expression.

She would never tell him, but she knew that Sokka Jr. was the perfect name. She would treasure it forever.

The sun was now setting in the sky, the sky darkening with streaks of pink and orange. It was the perfect setting to end the day. Everyone was full, happy, and ready to get back home, but they agreed to get one Ferris wheel ride together.

“One ticket per person, please.” The woman running the Ferris wheel held her hand out to collect the tickets.

Looking to Y/N, Sokka turned and whispered, “You don’t need a ticket to ride me!” Y/N ignored him and instead placed two tickets in the lady’s palm; one for her and one for Sokka. The woman let them in, and the two sat down in the Ferris wheel basket. They slowly moved up, and they heard the rest of their friends (except for Toph, who stayed behind) get into the basket behind them. They went higher and higher, watching the sunset together.

“You know, this is really beautiful. And I’m not talking about the sunset.” His voice broke the silence, loud enough for Y/N to hear, but not enough for the others to know what he was saying.

“Are- are you flirting with me?” She looked at him.

“You finally noticed?” Sokka kept his eyes trained on Y/N’s face, making Y/N blush. She had noticed, but she didn’t make much of it at the time. Here, it felt… different.

“Can… can I kiss you?”

“I’ve been waiting all day.” He gently leaned in to give her a soft kiss on the lips, and Y/N ate it up. As soon as he let go, she leaned in once again, longing for another kiss, and Sokka of course accepted. Behind them, someone groaned. Y/N whipped her head back to see Aang, Katara, and Zuko watching them. Y/N buried her hands in her sleeves out of embarrassment, but Sokka brought her back out, his finger pulling out her chin.

“Who cares?” He kissed her again, and again, laughing against her lips.

After they got home, Y/N plopped onto the bed, her body sighing at the cold sheets beneath her. She carefully set Sokka Jr. next to her and kissed the teddy bear goodnight before heading off to bed herself.

She had a great time at the carnival.

Omg this is so long. If you're still here, here are some of the works that I'm proud of. 1)This itsay set. This was my first time doing big gifs and although this is loooong I like how this turned out, specially the colouring. 2) This cause do I do anything except 2g shitposting? No <3 I had this idea even before s2g aired but decided to wait so that I have more shots from s2g and I'm glad I did cause Earn basically got confirmed as a wlw so (Also special thanks to Terry cause the Man and Air hc were hers,her phd brain ikr) 3)This cause dcjsdjidi SARAWATINE SOULMATES. I love how the colouring turned out despite the fact that ps crashed halfway and I lost the gifs i spent 2 hours colouring. I tried to do this with scenes from the series only but couldn't cause wHen YoU aRe wItH yOuR cAmeRA SHOW US goddammit. If this was ao3 this would've been tagged as Tine teepakorn loves Sarawat guntithanon xD 4) Still2gether textposts obviously. I KNOW that 90% people follow me for my 2g shitposting and I got an ask once saying how were they so accurate and the reason for that is I spent HOURS on these. Atfirst it took a long time but after a while I got the hang of it. It was fun (though sometimes tiring) to make these after each ep aired. I'm proud of it and the fact that I managed to do 13 parts? gsjsdjsj 5) Still2gether subs that looks fake but aren't. shutup this was my first time giffing but it was funnnnn looking for the (canon) crack parts after every ep aired.
